Krysten Ritter Gets Suicidal In New Starz Series Gravity
This week, Starz announced the cast for their upcoming original drama series Gravity which follows an out-patient program for suicide survivors. Among the cast set to star in the series are Krysten Ritter, Ivan Sergei, Ving Rhames and Rachel Hunter.
Gravity was originally titled Failure to Fly. It will begin production in New York later this month. Below is some of Starzí announcement on the casting:
ďGravity, follows the sometimes comic, sometimes tragic exploits of a group from an eccentric out-patient program of suicide survivors. Ritter (Breaking Bad, Confessions of a Shopaholic), stars as Lily Champagne, a twenty-something clinically depressed outcast looking for the love that her father never gave her. She stars with Sergei (Charmed, The Break-Up), who plays Robert Collingsworth, an ophthalmologist who is despondent following the cancer death of his wife, and who becomes an internet celebrity when his suicide attempt goes comically awry. He stars with Eric Schaeffer, the seriesí co-creator and one of its executive producers, plays Miller, an NYPD cop who seems to be everywhere Lily is.
I love that Krysten Ritter has a lead role in this series. While she was recently seen in the second season of Breaking Bad and the film Confessions of a Shopaholic, I think Iíll always associate her with her role as Gia in the second season of Veronica Mars. Iím also loving the character names in this new series. Lily Champagne and Dogg McFee in particular.
