Lost's Maggie Grace Joins Kevin Bacon In Fox Serial Killer Pilot

Maggie Grace knows a little something about playing a victim. While she’s probably best known for her role as Shannon in ABC’s Lost, she was also in the excellent Pierre Morel directed action flick Taken, in which she played Kim, the daughter of Liam Neeson’s character Bryan Mills, and the reason Mills becomes a man on a mission, tearing through Europe, and stopping at nothing to find his daughter. It looks like Grace may be headed back to television and into a victim role (kind of) for what could be a “key recurring role” in a Fox drama project.

Entertainment Weekly shared the news, stating that Maggie Grace has been tapped to join the serial killer project by Vampire Diaries showrunner Kevin Williamson, in development at Fox. According to EW, Grace is set to play “ a young doctor who’s the only surviving victim of infamous serial killer Joe Carroll (James Purefoy).” The killer is being tracked Kevin Bacon’s character, an FBI investigator. EW has no other details on Grace’s character beyond that.

While Grace has been dabbling with more big screen work, including an upcoming appearance in the The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 and the sequel to Taken, many will associate her with her role as Shannon Rutherford in ABC’s Lost. This sounds like an interesting role for her, and given the intriguing premise (and Kevin Bacon’s involvement), the yet-to-be-titled drama could prove to be a great project for her. We’ll have to wait and see how things work out for it.
