Mitt Romney Set To Appear On Leno Next Tuesday image
Like him or not, President Obama gives one hell of a late night interview. There’s something to be said about his ability to balance serious political topics with quaint stories about his wife, family, and experiences. Apparently, I am not the only one who thinks this. When Obama appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno back in October, he ended up garnering a 4.1 in the ratings, otherwise known as more than 50% over what Leno usually averages. Now, Republican primary candidate Mitt Romney is going to try to beat those ratings with his own appearance.

Romney has actually appeared on Leno’s late night program several times before, although the last time was way back in 2010 before his bid to run for the Republican presidential nomination was firmed up. I'm really looking forward to the interview. Romney can be pretty affable when he is relaxed. I once saw the former Massachusetts governor joke about how he is afraid to comment negatively on Sarah Palin due to having seen her viciously club a halibut on her reality show. We will just have to hope the subject doesn’t turn to how many Cadillac’s Romney’s wife owns.

Leno’s big interview with Romney will air next Tuesday night. The Washington Post is reporting this will be the fourth time Romney has appeared on Leno’s show, but since it is his first time as the Republican primary frontrunner, I’m sure the interview will be a worthwhile watch. We’ll have to wait and see if it will be enough to pull in something as big as a 4.1 rating.
