MTV Moving Forward With Jersey Shore Spin-Offs For Pauly D, JWoww And Snooki

Back in December, Pauly D was the first to team up with MTV for a Jersey Shore spinoff series. In an article about the declaration, Cinema Blend writer Kelly West, shared surprise that Pauly D was the first cast member to get a deal on his own. I think we were all a little surprised. Less surprised when a month later, JWoww and Snooki were rumored to get the same kind of deal.

Turns out there definitely will be a lot more guido-ness on the network this fall. Deadline recently announced the for-now untitled Paul “DJ Pauly D” Delvecchio Project and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “JWoww” Farley Project will begin production later this year, to be set for a 2012 release. Both series are planned for a 12-episode run.

The Pauly D project will follow his life as a DJ, as he travels on the road, works hard, and plays hard, too. Pauly D’s best buddy from childhood is also set to be prominent. While Pauly D’s project sounds like a sincere initiative, the girl’s project just sounds like another season of Jersey Shore, sans the awful Sammy Sweetheart and the GTL group. Unlike The Shore, the Snooki/JWoww project will follow the two women as they live, love, and party in their natural environment. Sounds like one hell of a leopard-printed series.

If you can’t wait for the untitled projects to gain titles, have no fear, season 4 of Jersey Shore is set for production next month.
