O'Reilly Calls Out The Simpsons

Speaking within the No Spin Zone, Bill O’Reilly took animated favorites The Simpsons to task on Monday’s O’Reilly Factor for including a FoxNews helicopter with the tagline “Not Racist: But #1 With Racists” on the previous night’s episode. The conservative pundit accused the show of biting the hand that feeds it, and further lambasted his parent company Fox for allowing the show to “run wild”.

If there’s one thing The Simpsons has always been, it’s a biting lens of popular culture. For years, the Sunday night Fox staple has poked fun and ridiculed everyone from political candidates to celebrities. While not the first pot shot taken at the right-leaning cable news station, The Simpsons’ long finger of mockery has been frequently extended toward other networks including NBC later in the same episode. During a meeting of media heads, the last place network was told it could listen but not speak.
