Parody Of HBO's Girls Called Boys Earns Judd Apatow's ApprovalAuthor: Leslie Kasperowicz

Well, I suppose a parody of HBO’s Girls was inevitable; I’m just surprised it took so long to show up. The new series that has been both acclaimed and derided and in the end landed several Emmy nods was pretty much guaranteed a good parody, and yes, it is pretty good.
Peter Moses, an L.A. filmmaker, is behind the parody, a trailer for a show called Boys, which is pretty much exactly like Girls except with four guys. They complain about having to work, dream of the easy life they would like to have, and show emotional maturity levels well below their actual age. Interspersed with the trailer scenes are over-the-top nepotism digs in which every single person in the fictional show is the son of someone famous, including a fake son of Wolf Blizter named Bear Blitzer, and a fake son of Daniel Craig, Craig Craig. Fortunately, Girls executive producer Judd Apatow seems to find it pretty funny. He tweeted last week “That made me laugh a few times. It got me.” Check out the dead-on send-up for yourself.
