Ricky Gervais Discusses New Project: Life's Too Short image
At this point, it’s a pretty safe bet when Ricky Gervais gets involved with a television show, there are more than a few laughs in store. He’s done both the British and U.S. versions of The Office, and given a behind the scenes look at the stupidity of the entertainment industry in Extras. Now, along with Steven Merchant(co-creator of both comedies), he has a new project coming down the pike. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gervais discussed his upcoming BBC2 show Life’s Too Short.

In the new comedy, Gervais and Merchant worked with Warwick Davis (Professor Flitwick in the Harry Potter franchise) to develop some of Davis’s standup material into a half hour comedy. The show will deal with Davis’s life as a tiny person living in a big person’s world. Gervais will executive produce the comedy about Davis’s struggles, including "using a broom handle to retrieve out-of-reach supermarket products, or being forever touched by ordinary people for good luck, as if he were a leprechaun."

Earlier this week, fans of Curb Your Enthusiasm found out Ricky Gervais would join Larry David for an episode later in the season. The more Gervais, the better as far as I’m concerned.
