Fans of Terminator 2 bad-guy Robert Patrick will get to see the actor among the stars of the very promising-looking ABC drama Last Resort. Late last month we shared the news that the actor had been upgraded to series regular on the Shawn Ryan created show. But we won't have to wait until fall to see Patrick on the small screen. It looks like he'll be headed to Bon Temps this summer for an arc on True Blood.
Spoilers ahead! True-Blood.net got the exclusive on this bit of casting news. The site reported this week that Robert Patrick is set to guest star in a recurring role on True Blood, playing the role of Jackson Herveaux, Alcide's father. It'll be a while before he shows up on screen. We won't see him until the ninth episode of the season ("Everybody Wants To Rule the World"), which will apparently give us a flashback of Debbie and Alcide during their teen years back in the '80's. I knew it was too good to be true to think Debbie was gone for good! Curse you, flashbacks! At least it's just a flashback though, and it should be interesting to see what Alcide was like when he was younger. The thought of a younger Joe Manganiello conjures up the image of a high school bully, picking on Peter Parker. But Alcide has proven to be a good man, so I'd be surprised if that turns out to be the case. In fact, from the sound of it, Alcide might have gotten his kind, decent nature from his father, who is described as having once been "powerful, inspiring and heroic," though now he's "pretty much given up on life." That last part doesn't sound good. It'll be interesting to get to meet Jackson, and it's especially great to learn that Robert Patrick is guest starring in the role. Back to top
