Fox’s upcoming 25th Anniversary Special is shaping up to be a big affair, with various stars set to appear, including the casts of That 70’s Show and Married with Children, as well as In Living Color’s Keenen Ivory Wayans, Marlon Wayans and Shawn Wayans. Until now, the event was without an announced host, but Fox sent word along today that they’ve got someone on board, and he’s certainly no stranger to hosting at the network.

For the last decade, Ryan Seacrest has remained one of the primary faces of Fox’s successful singing competition American Idol. As host of the series, Seacrest’s responsibilities have included introducing the contestants, bantering with the judges, being a shoulder to cry on for rejected auditioners, and being the one to reveal the results each week. Despite how he makes it look, I doubt it’s an easy job, nor do I imagine it’s without it’s fair share of stress, given that the show airs live. But he does it well, so it’s not surprising at all that Fox would look to Seacrest to take on the role of host for the 25th Anniversary Special.

Included in the announcements were additions to the star-studded line-up of talent set to appear on the special. House’s Hugh Laurie will be there, as will The Simpsons’ Kelsey Grammer.

Fox’s 25th Anniversary Special airs Sunday, April 22 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on Fox.
