Sara Rue is a popular girl this pilot season. She has just picked up her second role in a comedy pilot, over at NBC on currently titled (but hopefully being reconsidered) Guys With Kids. It's a multi-camera comedy from Jimmy Fallon surrounding three guys in their thirties taking on the joys and challenges of being dads.

The Hollywood Reporter says Rue's new role will be as Sheila, the ex-wife of Jesse Bradford’s character, Chris. Bradford is one of the three guys named in the title; the other two will be played by Anthony Anderson and Zach Cregger. Rue’s character is a career-driven attorney with joint custody of the nine-month-old she shares with Chris. Courtney Henggeler was previously cast but will be replaced by Sara Rue -- no word as to why. The plot will mainly follow the three dads as they attempt to take on parenting in spite of not quite having matured themselves.

The Fallon comedy will be in second position to the previous pilot Rue signed on for, the Reba McEntire project Malibu Country, where she will play Kim, Reba’s new neighbor in the Malibu neighborhood she and her family move to from Nashville following a nasty divorce. Rue has plenty of TV experience: she starred in Less Than Perfect and has appeared on Eastwick and Rules of Engagement. She also did a three-episode arc on Big Bang Theory and recently guested in an episode of Psych. She definitely appears to have some options for her next career move. Even if neither of these pilots makes it to series, it doesn’t look like Rue has trouble landing gigs.
