In case you haven't noticed, a lot of the focus of Scandal's second season has been on Fitz and Olivia's relationship. So it seems only fitting that ABC would release a soapy-sappy music video that plays through the highlights of the secret romance. Check it out ahead and also take a look at the new photos from this week's episode, which just so happen to be about the very topic the video addresses. So if you're a Fitz/Olivia fan, you should be especially pleased.
Fittingly titled "Forbidden Love," here's ABC's music video, which takes us through some of the key moments in Fitz and Olivia's relationship, from the hallway confession to the Constitution "I love you too. I'm in love with you too," to the steamy kisses and everything around and in between.
I don't know why, but I love that Mellie's "Get over her!" made it in there. Mellie's the best. Or the worst. I don't even know. And my favorite guilty-pleasure moment of the whole series is when Fitz and Olivia have that rose garden argument over who loves the other more. In general, the video seems to emphasize the drama and angst in the so-wrong-it's-right romance, both celebrating and wallowing in the highs and lows.
The above video looks back, but let's look forward for a minute, starting with this picture from Thursday night's "Nobody Likes Babies."
Another flashback scene? Or something recent? I'm going with flashback. This other photo seems to support that, as Olivia has flashback bangs and what looks like a campaign button on her jacket.
Below is the episode description, which indicates that the Cytron situation will be a big focus in the episode.
SCANDAL - "Nobody Likes Babies" - As David uncovers the truth about the Cytron case, things come to a head for Olivia, Cyrus, Mellie, Hollis and Verna. Backed into a corner, the five conspirators go to extremes and, in some cases, unconscionable lengths to protect themselves and/or the ones they love, on ABC's "Scandal," THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 7 (10:02-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
