CBS has a new cop drama set up to round off their Friday night lineup this fall. Set to follow Medium and CSI: NY is Blue Bloods, which stars Tom Selleck and follows a family of cops in New York.
It looks as though this series has been retitled from it's original name, Reagan's Law. The new title works better as Reagan's Law sounds like more of a legal drama. In Blue Bloods, Selleck stars Frank Reagan, the NYPD Chief of Police as well as the father in a family of cops. Also set to star in the series is Donnie Wahlberg, whose recent TV roles include a spot on USA’s In Plain Sight. Below is CBS’ full description for the series, which is set to air on Friday nights, starting this fall. BLUE BLOODS is a drama about a multi-generational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement. Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) is the New York Chief of Police and patriarch of the Reagan brood, which he heads as diplomatically as he does the force, even when dealing with the politics that plagued his unapologetically bold father, Henry (Len Cariou), during his stint as Chief. A source of pride and concern for Frank is his eldest son Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), a seasoned detective, family man and Iraqi War vet who on occasion uses dubious tactics to solve cases.
