Sharon Stone Signs On For SVU

This April, Sharon Stone is set to appear in numerous episodes of NBC’s Law and Order: SVU. The actress, known for some of her racier film roles, including the female lead in Basic Instinct, is set to play a prosecutor in the series this spring.

EntertainmentWeekly’s Ausiello posted the news, stating that Stone’s character is a former cop-turned-prosecutor who will most likely go toe-to-toe with Benson Stabler and his gang.

Stone’s previous TV engagements include playing crazy-attorney Sheila Carlisle in three episodes of The Practice, as well as a recurring role on Showtime’s Huff as a PR exec. Given those parts and her film roles, it’s not hard to picture her as a tough ex-cop prosecutor.

EW states that Stone will be in four episodes of SVU starting in April.
