President Obama had Senator John Kerry to help him prep for last night's debate. But who's helping The Daily Show's Jon Stewart as he prepares to face off against Fox News pundit Bill O'Reilly in the much anticipated O'Reilly v. Stewart 2012: The Rumble in the Air-Conditioned Auditorium? That would be none other than Stephen Colbert. Check out the video from last night's Daily Show, which had Stewart and Colbert practicing for the event.
In just a couple of days, Stewart and O'Reilly will face off. O'Reilly v. Stewart 2012: The Rumble in the Air-Conditioned Auditorium will be streamed live, Saturday, October 6th at 8pm ET from Lisner Auditorium at The George Washington University. I expect it to be funny, but as both are well informed on the election and politics, it's just as likely that the two will have arguments to make.
Stephen Colbert appeared on The Daily Show to stand-in for O'Reilly in a prep-session in anticipation of this weekend's big streaming event. But first, he plugged his book. Then he taught Stewart the ABCs of debating.
"Two men enter, two men leave!… One slightly before the other one…"
I really hope O'Reilly brings a chicken (and two strapping flag-pants-wearing men) with him when he shows up to face Stewart.
Here's the trailer for this weekend's debate.
The event is being aired streaming online, and you have to pay for it. Those who are have their credit cards ready (and $4.95 to spare) can pre-order. More information on how to watch O'Reilly v Stewart 2012: The Rumble in the Air-Conditioned Auditorium can be found at TheRumble2012.com.
