Tommy Lee might be a bit of a buffoon, but it’s hard to argue against his life success. He played drums for a culturally relevant 1980s band that still rakes it in touring. He has the most talked about sex tape of all-time. He was married to three different hot chicks, and now he’s back in the headlines with his own television show chronicling a subject matter he’s excited about. When he does something, people tend to stop and watch. It’s a personality trait Syfy is banking on, and one I certainly wouldn’t ever count out.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the program is called Culture Shock With Tommy Lee, and it’ll follow the musician on fact-finding adventures around the world as he looks into secret societies, strange cultures and random unmentionables. A bit like No Reservations without the food, each hour long journey will focus on a different place and feature first person accounts of his experiences.

It may seem better suited for The Travel Channel, but regardless of where it airs, I will watch at least one episode of Culture Shock. There’s no way to know how informative or personable the rocker might be, but the subject matter is definitely strong enough to give it a whirl. No word yet on when Syfy might premiere the show, but with filming yet to begin, it might be awhile.
