Rake, Enlisted, Dads And Surviving Jack Cancelled By Fox
For those paying attention, Fox is currently in the bonus stage round of their annual contest “How Many Series Can We Cancel?” and they’ve now officially cut all ties with freshman comedies Dads, Enlisted, and Surviving Jack, along with first-year drama Rake.

Why I Don't Want To Watch Any New Comedies Yet, And Why That's A Problem For The Networks
The only reason to watch a comedy through a rough start is out of loyalty for something on that show, and that's a really tenuous draw for multi-million dollar series to rely on. I'm sticking with Brooklyn Nine-Nine because the pilot made me laugh a few times and because I'll follow Parks & Recreation veteran Mike Schur (who also created this one) anywhere. But I can't be the only viewer lingering in the shallow end before willingly diving in after most of the other new offerings

Dads Review: Seth MacFarlane's Latest Has Potential But Needs A Retool
Somewhere inside Dads is a heartfelt, clever and occasionally even subtle show about two men with disappointing fathers who want to get past the anger they’ve internalized over the years. It would probably air on Showtime without a laugh track and routinely be listed among the year’s Emmy snubs.

Fox Fall 2013 Premiere Dates Set
Fox is the fourth of the five major networks to announce their Fall 2013 premiere schedule, and for the network that recently brought us American Idol, there's a lot of X Factor on the menu. Fortunately for those who aren't looking for more singing, there are some returning dramas and comedies, and some promising looking new programs joining the lineup later in September.

Seth MacFarlane's Fox Sitcom Dads Gets Its First Trailer
Here's one for the Seth MacFarlane fans. Or Seth Green fans. (Or both). Fox may not offer much in the way of multi-camera comedies these days, but the network has no shortage of MacFarlane. So it should be interesting to see how Dads does on Tuesday nights, paired with fellow newcomer Brooklyn Nine-Nine. As the trailer reveals, this new comedy, which comes from Ted team focuses on the relationship two guys have with their fathers.

Following word of a handful of drama pilots that received series orders at Fox for the 2013-2014 season, comes another batch of series orders at Fox, this time for comedies. Among the pilots going to series at Fox is the cop comedy starring Andy Samberg, and Surviving Jack, which will star Chris Meloni.

Seth Green Joins Seth MacFarlane's Live-Action Fox Comedy Dads
It's only been a month since we listed Seth Green as one of ten 90s TV stars we wanted to see back in a starring role and it looks like somebody at Fox was listening. Obviously, the actor never really left the small screen, whether it was providing several voices for Seth MacFarlance's Family Guy or popping up in guests spots like last year's reunion on How I Met Your Mother, but it's not the same as this new sitcom gig which puts the former Buffy The Vampire Slayer series regular front and center.

Seth MacFarlane And Ted Co-Writers' Live-Action Comedy Dads Gets A Series Order At Fox
If you were thinking that Fox could really use a bit more Seth MacFarlane, we have good news for you. (And if you were thinking Fox has too much MacFarlane, you might want to stop reading now.) The Family Guy creator and his Ted co-writers are bringing a bit of live-action funny to the network, as Fox has reportedly given their new comedy Dads a series order.
