Hello Ladies Is Returning To HBO, Here Are The Details
It seems like only yesterday when HBO decided to ruin my life by cancelling both the hilarious Hello Ladies and Family Tree, but it happened all the way back in January. While the latter series has long told its last tale, the Stephen Merchant-created comedy is coming back to HBO for one big final hurrah.
HBO Kills Comedy By Cancelling Christopher Guest's Family Tree And Stephen Merchant's Hello Ladies
I’m not saying HBO is a chinchy company when it comes to certain series, but the cable network has allowed far more dramas to continue on into multiple seasons while comedies will often get the short shrift and see premature cancellations. Such is the case with two of the funniest comedies of 2013,Family Tree and Hello Ladies...
Hello Ladies Season Finale Preview: The Drive
Stephen Merchant’s HBO comedy Hello Ladies’ first season is only eight episodes, which unfortunately means that this Sunday marks the series’ first season finale. We can only hope that HBO will see fit to bring this series back for a second season. In the meantime, let’s look at the preview for next Sunday’s “The Drive.”
Hello Ladies: Watch The Full Pilot Episode Of Stephen Merchant's New Comedy Online
HBO premiered Stephen Merchant's new comedy series Hello Ladies last night, and for those who don't have HBO, the network has been kind enough to make the series premiere available online for your viewing pleasure. Watch the full episode and prepare yourself to see Stephen Merchant bumbling his way through single life ahead!
Stephen Merchant's Hello Ladies Gets A Funny, Awkward Full Trailer
So far, everything we've seen from Stephen Merchant's upcoming new comedy series Hello Ladies indicates a decidedly awkward brand of humor for the Office co-creator's character, a man in desperate search for romance. In fact, The Office came to mind when watching the full trailer for Hello Ladies, as there's an almost David Brent-ish quality about Merchant's character, which may have to do with his lack of self awareness.
Hello Ladies Poster Shows Stephen Merchant Single And Desperate To Mingle
The poster for Stephen Merchant's upcoming new HBO comedy Hello Ladies sums up its premise pretty well, with its focus on Merchant sitting alone looking resigned as he's surrounded by happy cuddling couples> While they sip mixed drinks, he wallows solo over a pint, all set over the words "Single and desperate to mingle." Emphasis on the desperate?
Girls Season 3 Production Video Looks Like A Day At The Beach, Hello Ladies Gets A Second Teaser
With True Blood wrapped up, does that mean that it's time for Girls to return? Um, not quite. We have to wait until 2014 for Lena Dunham's HBO comedy series to make its way back to us with new episodes. But HBO did share a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the series' upcoming season.
Stephen Merchant Engages In Some Awkward Humor In New Hello Ladies Teaser
Between Extras, The Office, Life's Too Short and The Ricky Gervais Show, much of Stephen Merchant's career as an actor and a writer is linked with Ricky Gervais. But those who are familiar with his work know that the man's talent comes from his own style of humor and not merely by association with his better known accomplice.
Boardwalk Empire, Clear History And Hello Ladies Premiere Dates Set By HBO
Earlier today, HBO announced that its comedy series, Eastbound & Down, would end after Season 4. While that’s bad news for fans of the series, the network also announced some good news today. Not only has Boardwalk Empire finally gotten a Season 4 premiere date, but Larry David’s original movie, Clear History, and Stephen Merchant’s new comedy, Hello Ladies, are also headed to the schedule very soon.
Watch: HBO Teases 2013 Programming And Celebrates 2012
HBO always has an incredible lineup and as a reminder of the incredible collection of shows and movies that HBO brought to the small screen this year, the network released a sentimental "2012 Yearender" spot. Too bad the promotional video is so poorly named that many people not interested in reliving the the past probably skipped it and therefore missed out on getting to see a lot of never before seen footage in the 'Coming in 2013' section including snippets from returning shows and new.
HBO's Hello Ladies Casts Nate Torrence And Kevin Weisman
HBO has cast two co-stars to join Stephen Merchant in the comedy pilot for Hello Ladies. Nate Torrance and Kevin Weisman will play friends and would-be wingmen to Merchant’s lead character, a hopeless English transplant to Los Angeles whose goal in life is to find his way into the elite circles of the beautiful people.
The Office Co-Creator Stephen Merchant Lands Comedy Pilot At HBO
HBO has ordered a new comedy pilot from Stephen Merchant, co-creator of The Office. Merchant is set to both direct and star in Hello Ladies, and is writing it as well. The pilot will be executive produced by a couple of his former Office colleagues, Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, making for a little reunion on the pilot set.
