Nathan Fillion's New Series Con Man Just Added A Ton Of Sci-Fi Stars
When it comes to projects that makes the geekier sections of society squeal with delight, you can’t get much better than the re-teaming of Firefly stars Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk for the latter’s upcoming webseries Con Man, which just stacked its cast.
Battlestar Galactica's Tricia Helfer Boards Syfy's Ascension
If you're casting a role described as "beautiful, manipulative and dangerous," Tricia Helfer would be a pretty ideal candidate for the part. See her performance as Six in Battlestar Galactica for evidence of that. So, it's particularly fitting that Helfer should return to Syfy for a "beautiful, manipulative and dangerous" role in the cable channel's six hour event series Ascension.
Battlestar Galactica's Tricia Helfer Joins Killer Women Pilot At ABC
Battlestar Galactica’s Tricia Helfer has signed on for ABC’s Killer Women pilot. The title is more reminiscent of an ID program than anything else, but instead it’s about a division of Texas Rangers that is almost completely made up of men. In fact, only one woman can call herself a ranger in the division. Just call her Mary, Texas Ranger.
Community's Season 4 Nabs Tricia Helfer To Play A Convention Junkie
Battlestar Galactica’s Tricia Helfer will be getting down and geeky with Abed in an upcoming installment of NBC’s Community. The former Cylon will appear in the fourth episode of Community’s final season, where she will play a fan of the fake British series, Inspector Spacetime, one of Abed’s obsessions on the NBC show.
Tricia Helfer Starring Pilot Scent Of The Missing Passed Over By TNT
Among the projects in development for TNT was Scent of the Missing, a drama focuses on a K-9 Search and Rescue volunteer named Susannah, whose partner is a mischievous golden retriever. Had the pilot been picked up, it would have put Battlestar Galactica's Tricia Helfer in a starring role, alongside Firefly's Summer Glau. While the concept of the drama had nothing to do with sci-fi, I have no doubt that plenty of fans would have loved to see the River and Six on screen together. Alas, it's not meant to be. Not in this project, anyway.
Tricia Helfer To Star In TNT's Scent Of The Missing
Anytime you watch a movie about a dog or a horse, it’s fair to say you run a pretty big risk of crying at the end when the story inevitably reminds you that pets are awesome and then they die. TV shows are a bit more lenient on their viewers in that respect. Like babies, most shows don’t bother with pets unless they’re relevant to the story, in which case they're usually kept around (See: Lassie) or written off the show (Friends).
Tricia Helfer Signs On For NBC's The Firm
The interesting-sounding pilot 17th Precinct didn’t go to series, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be able to find Tricia Helfer on NBC at some point in the future. It appears The Firm’s stock just went up six points (and up one more Cylon if you’re keeping track) as Helfer’s been signed on for a role.
Another Battlestar Galactica Star Joins Ron Moore's 17th Precinct
After yesterday’s news that James Callis was set to join fellow Battlestar Galactica star Jamie Bamber in Ron Moore’s new NBC pilot, I wondered if anyone else from the excellent Syfy series would sign on for 17th Precinct. As it turns out, good things come in three’s… or Sixes, as it were.
The Babes Of BSG Invade CBS Mondays
Let's be honest, fans of Battlestar Galactica are more than likely already checking out CBS's Monday night hit The Big Bang Theory. But perhaps they shouldn't let their geekery stop there. This week and next week both of Chuck Lorre's Monday night CBS comedies will be getting visits from BSG alums.
Interview: Tricia Helfer On The Season Finale Of Burn Notice
The second season of Burn Notice is about to wrap up and Tricia Helfer was kind enough to participate in a conference call to talk about her role in the show. She also has some interesting things to say about Battlestar Galactica, Chuck, being Canadian and transitioning from modeling to acting. We’ve got the full transcript of the call to share with you.
Comic Con: Details From The Battlestar Galactica Panel
Cinema Blend’s Ed Perkis just checked in from Comic Con to give me the scoop on some of the things that were talked about at today’s Battlestar Galactica panel. Among the notable topics discussed were of course, the identity of the fifth cylon, Baltar’s cult and what the ending of the series is going to look like.
Giveaway: Burn Notice Beach Bag - CONTEST CLOSED
The new season of Burn Notice is set to premiere next week and I’m doubly excited because not only are we getting new episodes of Burn Notice, but BSG star Tricia Helfer is going to be in the show! Yay! And there’s more good news (since the Helfer thing is hardly new-news): we’re giving away free stuff! Burn Notice takes place in sunny Miami, so we’ve got some beach-themed prizes for two lucky fans.
BSG's Number Six A Video Vixen?
I have no idea if The Old 97’s have some sort of Tricia Helfer/BSG connection or if they just really like the show. In any case, the video makes absolutely no sense, but does feature Kung Fu, Tricia Helfer, and a dude in a “Frack Me” t-shirt. What more could you want?
Tricia Helfer Signs On With Fox
With Battlestar Galactica now airing it’s final season, it probably comes as no surprise to anyone who is a fan of the series that a network would want to snatch up BSG star Tricia Helfer and lock in a deal with her for a new series. What’s not to love about Helfer? She’s gorgeous and as proven her talent with her numerous roles as the various versions of Six on the hit Scifi series.
