If you enjoyed the first season of TBS’ new comedy series Glory Daze, there’s bad news as it appears the show won’t be returning for a second season.

According to Deadline, TBS has opted not to order a second season for Glory Daze. Set in the ‘80s, the hour-long comedy followed a group of college kids as they attempted to adjust to life on campus and in a fraternity. While the series kicked off with 1.8 million viewers tuning in for the premiere, the ninth and final episode of Season 1 only brought in 1.1 million viewers.

I watched most of Glory Daze but I’ll admit to not having seen the season finale as TiVo deleted it before I got around to checking it out. The show was entertaining, charming and oftentimes funny, and the use of the ‘80’s backdrop helped it stand out somewhat, however I was waiting for the show to really pull me in and it never quite did.

TBS isn’t giving up on comedies. The network currently has two pilots in the works, the first titled Hound Dogs and the other titled The Wedding Band.
