Teen Choice 2011 Nominations: Summer Shows And Breakout Stars

Summer shows deserve love too, right? Fox posted more nominees for the 2011 Teen Choice Awards and among the added categories are Choice Summer TV Show, and Choice Summer TV Star (Male/Female). ABC Family’s The Nine Lives of Chloe King also managed to score some nominations for Choice Breakout Show, and Breakout Star.

Reality TV series Keeping Up with the Kardashians made the list for Choice Summer TV Show, but it’s up against MTV’s new drama Teen Wolf, ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars, and Switched at Birth, and Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance. Given how different most of those shows are from one another, it’s viritually impossible to predict how the teens will vote. Of the more random nominees is Noah Wyle, who managed to earn a nom for Choice Summer TV star for the new TNT drama Falling Skies.

Teen Choice 2011 is set to air Sunday, Aug. 7 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. Fans can go to TeenChoiceAwards.com to vote for their favorites among the nominees.
