True Blood Preview: Season 5, Episode 5 - Let's Boot And Rally

Things seem to be inching right along for True Blood, with each episode feeling a bit more like set-up for something much bigger, than anything else. Though, last night's episode did offer some insight into the family aspect of vampire culture, as we saw three makers address their progeny's in a parental sort of way. And those looking for a bit of bloody violence got that too, thanks tho the Authority.

Spoilers from last night's episode of True Blood ("We'll Meet Again") and a look at "Let's Boot and Rally" (Episode 5) ahead!

Things took an interesting turn for Sookie and Alcide last night. Those who've been waiting for them to finally cross that line were likely happy to see how the episode left off for them. The trailer for next week's episode of True Blood shows us Alcide with someone blonde, but I can't tell who it is.



It looks like Bill and Eric will be warning and/or enlisting help from Sookie to find Russell. Given that the clock is ticking on their search, they need to do whatever they can to find him before the Authority loses its patience and triggers the stake-app. It looked like we got a glimpse of Russell being dug up. It was kind of distorted looking, which makes me wonder if what we were seeing was something Sookie might have seen inside someone's head? Any other theories there?

Meanwhile, it looks like things are going to get worse for Patrick and Terry while dealing with Eller. No surprise there. And was Hoyt offering himself up to Tara as a meal? Last we saw him, he was all gothed up and looking for trouble at Fangtasia. It seems like their paths are about to cross. That can't lead anywhere good.

Finally, was that Alfre Woodard screaming toward the end of the video? It was too quick to tell for sure, but given everything Lafayette's been through and the loss of Jesus (not to mention the reappearance of the demon last night) the timing seems right for Ruby Jean to make a return.
