True Blood Preview: Season 5, Episode 6 - HopelessAuthor: Kelly West

Things left off in a very interesting place for True Blood last night, with a few pretty sizable cliffhangers. Based on the preview for next Sunday's episode, there's some major drama ahead and the title doesn't sound especially positive. Take a look at the preview for "Hopeless" ahead!
There are lots of interesting snippets featured in this week's True Blood preview. We'll save the analysis for after though… So, it looks like Russell isn't entirely bedridden. At the very least, he's well enough to get up and threaten Sookie, though I don't expect she'll just let him sink his teeth into her. Meanwhile, there seems to be some serious tension between Hoyt and Jessica. Maybe the romance is mostly over, but perhaps there's still something left for the two of them to explore ("depraved" things?). We later see Tara facing off with Jessica, so it seems that fight isn't over, and while it's implied that Tara held her own, Pam's treating her like crap. Is that part of the training process? Meanwhile, Andy's looking into the Sup killers, which from the looks of it, will eventually him to that weird vampire-killer hardware store Sookie visited a couple of episodes back when she was trying to find tools to keep Tara put. And it looks like the sup-killers have made their way to Fangasia (assuming that's where Hoyt is when we see him). They're seen screaming "Die fanger!" and then Hoyt is covered in blood. Is it safe to assume they just shot some vampire standing near him? I can't imagine it's either Jessica or Tara that's splattered all over him, but you never now. Terry seems to have made his way back to Bon Temps (or to Arlene, anyway), and Eric's visiting Nora, so I'm assuming that means they get out of the asylum (or he does). Some interesting things to ponder over while we wait for next Sunday. In the meantime, you can read our full breakdown of last night's episode ("Let's Boot and Rally") here. True Blood airs Sundays at 9:00 p.m. on HBO. Back to top
