True Blood Preview: Season 5, Episode 9 - Everybody Wants To Rule The World

Last night's episode of True Blood did a better job of giving us some indication of the direction of the series, and if the preview for next week's episode is any indication, it seems the various story arcs may be coming together somewhat as the HBO drama series' fifth season draws to a close. For those not keeping count, there are only four episodes left of Season 5.

The preview for "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" has Eric addressing something I brought up in my breakdown of last night's episode. What's Bill's game? Is he seriously falling for this Lilith stuff? Or does he have some other plan that we haven't been brought in on yet? From what Bill says to Eric in the promo video it looks like Bill's interest in Lilith and vampire supremacy is legit…



We also see Hoyt being dragged and Jessica looking especially guilty. She's even crying. Will this ordeal rekindle her feelings for him? And will Hoyt make it out of this situation alive? I really hope so. This show doesn't have a lot of humans left. Meanwhile, Russell visits the wolf pack just in time to greet the new V-addict pack master. The more things change…

Finally, there's a new vampire in town. Is that the Warlow we learned about last night? If so, his timing couldn't be more perfect. What are the odds that - years after he killed Sookie and Jason's parents - Sookie learns of his existence? Then again, maybe that's how the "psychic bond" ties in. She now has her own Harry Potter-gateway into the man's head, which could have led him straight to her.
