True Blood Season 5 Finale: Save Yourself

Last night's episode of True Blood set some big things in motion for the finale. Russell appears to be ready to face the fairies, and the Authority's numbers have dwindled a bit as numerous vampires, including Bill, became crazed with Lilith power, believing they're the chosen ones. How will it all end? The promo for the finale gives us a few clues.

At this point, the season closer feels like a mercy. I haven't exactly made it a secret that I haven't loved this season so far. But I am curious to see how things wrap up and where the season leaves us hanging, as it will inevitably do. The promo below shows Russell having a showdown with the fairies, Bill and Solame talking about Lilith, and Jason preparing for… an attack? A rescue?



I'm going to guess that the light-attack on Russell happens pretty close to the beginning of the episode (around immediately after we return to the field) and that it doesn't work. It's probably going to take a bit more than some zaps of fairy light to take him down.

Also, is that Solame drinking Lilith's blood? I'll be curious to see if and how Bill will walk away from this whole Lilith business. Assuming he survives it, will he realize how far over the deep end he's gone? We'll have to wait and see!
