True Blood Season 5 Preview: Episode 7 - In The Beginning Clips

We've reached the halfway point of Season 5 of True Blood, and things are finally starting to get going. HBO released three clips from this Sunday night's "In the Beginning," one of which gives us a look at what's going on at the Authority. Things left off in a potentially messy place and this clip may offer some clue as to what happens next.

But before we get to that, here's Sam doing a bit of sniffing around in an effort to figure out who's running around in masks shooting sups



That's a gift that comes in handy, although it does make him seem like a bit of a weirdo. Then again, in Bon Temps, being different is sort of the norm these days.

Speaking of different, it looks like Sookie's going to be finding out some news about her own special abilities, and it may not be good.



I'm guessing she won't die, but maybe she will lose her powers. I suppose they couldn't let her go too long being able to take care of herself. What fun would that be?

And finally, we have the Authority. I couldn't believe they'd really kill Roman off so soon into the season, but based on this video, the situation is not looking good.



Last we saw of Roman, Russell was pushing a stake into him and his face looked like it was on the verge of bursting. I thought maybe there was a chance Roman might somehow be ok. Maybe Russell missed the heart. But the start of the above video shows Russell leaning over a puddle of blood on that table and no Roman in sight. Another Authority member down? And the situation does not look good for most of the other people in that building. We'll have to wait and see how things work out when the episode airs this weekend!
