Hoping to see Donald Faison back on TV? How about Fran Drescher, Kristen Johnston, or Wayne Knight? TV Land announced the details on their upcoming new series, one of which features the former Nanny star, while the other stars Scrubs Faison, 3rd Rock from the Sun’s Kristen Johnston, and Wayne Knight, known well by Seinfeld fanatics for his role as Newman.

TV Land announced today that they’re renewing their original series Retired at 35 for another season. They’ve also added Happily Divorced and The Exes (working title) to their growing list of original series.

Happily Divorced stars Fran Drescher, John Michael Higgins (Best in Show), Tichina Arnold (Everybody Hates Chris) and Rita Moreno (West Side Story). Written by Drescher and Peter Marc Jacobson, the comedy is based on Drescher’s life and follows Fran (Drescher) as she tries to get back into the dating scene after finding out her husband of nearly two decades (played by Higgins) is gay. As she’s still living with her ex, the situation sounds a bit tricky and perfect for a sitcom.

The Exes is a comedy about three recently divorced men. It’s exec-produced and written by Frasier’s Mark Reisman, along with Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis, and stars Donald Faison, who plays Phil, a “ladies man.” He lives with Haskell (Wayne Knight) and Stuart (David Alan Basche) in an apartment near their landlord-slash-divorce attorney Holly (Kristen Johnston).

TV Land’s building some real momentum with their original programming. It’ll be fun to see how these shows work out and just as great to see these actors returning to the small screen for new roles. Of course, this means Knight probably wouldn't be available to participate in the One and a Half Men and a Mailman scenario we had worked out for a Charlie Sheen replacement idea, but I suppose that was a long shot anyway.
