The 2011 Video Music Awards went off, for the most part, without a hitch, with a few minor snafus being handled mostly off-camera. If you missed it or care to relive the highlights, we have the videos ahead, including Gaga’s performance of “You and I,” and Dave Grohl’s reminder that Rock ‘n Roll lives on.

Lady Gaga opened the show as her alter-ego Joe Calderone. She puffed a cigarette, cracked a beer and at some point, may have slipped off the stage (the camera cut away). She also sounded fantastic, singing “You and I” while Brian May of Queen accompanied her on guitar.

The Foo Fighter’s Dave Grohl reminded people not to lose faith in Rock ‘n Roll when he accepted the award for Best Rock Video.

Beyonce didn’t let a baby bump come between her and a fantastic performance. She showed off her belly following her performance of “Love on Top.” Congrats Beyonce!

JAY-Z and Kanye West performed “Otis.” And some guy managed to join them on stage, only to be whisked away by security (look for that around 1:50 in the video).

Bruno Mars performed "Valerie" and an Amy Winehouse medley in tribute to the late artist.

Adele demonstrated vocal excellence with her performance of “Someone Like You.”

Never underestimate the power of a good medley. Here’s Chris Brown’s performance of “Yeah 3X,” “Protect Ya Neck,” “Teen Spirit,” and “Beautiful People.”

Justin Bieber beat out some steep competition for Best Male Video...

There was a great tribute to Britney Spears’ music videos, costumes and dance moves, but I haven’t been able to find it on MTV.com just yet. We’ll get it posted if and when it becomes available.
