Some people’s love for Shatner goes back to his Star Trek days. For others, it’s his later work on shows like Boston Legal or more recently, CBS’ comedy series $#*! My Dad Says. Me personally? I like his music, so needless to say, I was very excited when I heard he performed his own version of Cee-Lo’s “F—k You” on Lopez Tonight last night.

I didn’t catch the episode but E! Online posted the video today. We have that below and if you’re unfamiliar with Shatner’s history of excellent small-screen musical performances, there are a few samples for you to check out further down.

As of next week, Lopez Tonight airs weeknights at midnight ET/PT on TBS. And don’t forget, Conan premieres next Monday, November 8, 2010 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT on TBS!

Here’s Shatner’s classic rendition of “Rocket Man,” performed at the Sci-Fi Awards in 1978:

In 1999 Shatner performed the deliciously bitter “In Love” with Ben Folds on Late Night with Conan O’Brien.

And, though not a live performance, if you like the above, you might want to check out Shatner’s “That’s Me Trying” with Ben Folds. It’s funny and sad.
