The X Factor Season 2 Online Auditions Have Begun

Last night’s results episode of The X Factor eliminated one more contestant from the running, leaving three remaining to battle it out next week, after which the winner will be determined. The singing competition series isn’t wasting any time in moving forward with the search for talent for next season. Auditions are officially open on the X Factor website. More info ahead!

Fox posted the announcement yesterday, stating that auditions for Season 2 of The X Factor have begun online. While cities nd dates for the Open Call (and MyStudio Booth Auditions) will be announced soon, those who would prefer to audition online can go to Auditions.TheXFactorUSA.com to submit a two-minute a cappella audition video in the hopes of being discovered.

The website’s ticker currently says that “Auditions End In: 15 Days” and change. That doesn’t appear to be an error either. The site also says, “Audition Now for The X Factor Season 2 for an opportunity t move on to audition in front of the Judges. Hurry, these online auditions close at midnight PST on December 31, 2011.” So if your plan is to show your stuff through an online video, you’d better get working on that soon.

In the meantime, next Wednesday night (December 21st), Melanie Amaro, Josh Krajcik, and Chris Rene will duke it out vocally and a winner will be crowned on Thursday (December 22nd) in the two-hour finale.
