Following up on the recently released trailer for Leslye Headland's upcoming female-focused comedy Bachelorette, comes the red band trailer, which gives us a few new looks at the film, which stars Rebel Wilson, Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher and Lizzy Caplan as a group of old friends reunited to celebrate one of their approaching weddings. Hijynx ensues.

The Leslye Headland written and directed Bachelorette made its official debut at Sundance earlier this year, but the film won't arrive in theaters until September, with an On Demand release coming up in just a few weeks. The film boasts a pretty fantastic cast of females (and some great supporting males), with Rebel Wilson, Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher and Lizzy Caplan playing a group of former high school friends reunited to celebrate one of their approaching nuptials.

Sundance is always a home for voices in film that don't often otherwise get heard, but this year in particular seems like a great one for women, whether they're following in the footsteps of Bridesmaids or not. I still haven't managed to catch one of the biggest female-led films, the Alison Brie and Lizzy Caplan-starring Save the Date, but here are reviews of three others

We've been hearing casting announcements for the Will Ferrell-Adam McKay produced Bachelorette for months now. In the film Lizzy Caplan, Kirsten Dunst and Isla Fisher playbest friends who are invited to a wedding by a girl who they tormented in high school...

When you think about it, it's quite obvious why Hollywood likes making wedding movies. What other sub-genre allows for a romance, crazy families, jealousy, male debauchery, sex, pretty locations and high tension all in the same film?We've seen what seems like millions of wedding movies in the last century and we'll see millions more in the future.

Next week Universal will release Bridesmaids, a film that achieves what has seemed impossible: crafting a female-driven comedy that hits every adult demographic. Should all go according to plan the film will be a massive success, Adam McKay and Will Ferrell aren't going to wait to find out before starting to make their own similarly-themed version.
