Weekend Box Office: Nothing Magical About Burt Wonderstone![]() Going into this weekend there was no real doubt that any of the new releases would be able to unseat Oz The Great And Powerful, the mammoth Disney release still making tons of money all over the globe. What's surprised everyone, though, is which movie came in second place. Besting the splashy studio comedy The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, the Halle Berry-led thriller The Call made $6.2 million on Friday, good enough for a (distant) second place behind Oz

The Call Surprises The Incredible Burt Wonderstone For #2 At Weekend Box Office![]() “I think magicians are a lot more arrogant,” Carrey said. “That’s what bothered me about magicians growing up. I was always fascinated by it growing up, they’re kind of like, ‘Abracadabra, you’re an idiot!’ They don’t let you in on the joke. Comedians are in on the joke, unless you’re Andy Kaufman.”

Tattoos, Vegas Crowds And Rodney Dangerfield: Jim Carrey And Steve Carell Talk Burt Wonderstone![]() When you take a trip to Vegas you're pretty much required to catch a big, probably cheesy magic act. Sure, the likes of David Blaine and Mystery have made magic a bit cooler over the years, but let's face it-- when we think of big magic shows, we still think of crazy wigs, sparkly suits, and the kind of showmanship you just can't get outside of Vegas

Jim Carrey, Steve Carell Work Their Magic With The Incredible Burt Wonderstone At SXSW![]() This tongue-in-cheek trailer features Steve Carell and Steve Buscemi as Las Vegas magicians Burt Wonderstone and Anton Marvelton at the high point of the dynamic duo's career. Making Magic On The Set Of The Incredible Burt Wonderstone![]() Don Scardino’s The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, a Las Vegas-based magician comedy, co-stars Steve Carell, Jim Carrey and Steve Buscemi … though you’d never guess that based on the first official poster, because the three men look nothing like themselves. Which is probably great, because the further this movie drifts of the path of the safe and conventional, the better it will be for all of us!

Community's Gillian Jacobs Joins Steve Carell In The Incredible Burt Wonderstone![]() Jay Mohr gets stuck doing a lot of crap. While he does have the occational gem on his resume, like the cancelled-too-soon TV show Action, Go, and Jerry Maguire, most of his career has been spent doing crappy movies and short-lived sitcoms. He has talent but rarely gets the opportunity to show it off. Hopefully Burt Wonderstone can do something to buck that trend.

Jay Mohr Joins The Ever-Expanding Cast Of Burt Wonderstone![]() Burt Wonderstone is already looking like a movie with enough magical star-power to lift it off the ground. With Steve Carell set to star, and Jim Carrey, James Gandolfini and Steve Buscemi also attached, not to mention Olivia Wilde, the cast of New Line's magician comedy is already top notch. Factor Brad Garrett into the equation and there may even more reason to speculate over whether this movie could manage to live up to the sum of its parts.

Jason Reitman Performing Magic With Burt Wonderstone Script![]() We are living in tough times, my friends.
