Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin) is a talented attorney at a top New York law firm, a generous and loyal friend, and, unhappily, still single—as her engaged best friend Darcy (Kate Hudson) is constantly reminding her. But after celebrating her 30th birthday, perpetual good girl Rachel unexpectedly ends up in the arms of the guy she’s had a crush on since law school, Dex (Colin Egglesfield)…who just happens to be Darcy’s fiancé. As one thing leads to another in the frantic weeks leading up to Darcy’s wedding, Rachel finds herself in an impossible situation, caught between her treasured friendship with Darcy and the love of her life. Meanwhile, Ethan (John Krasinski), Rachel’s constant confidante and sometimes conscience, is busy evading the affection of Darcy’s hopelessly love-struck friend Claire (Ashley Williams) while harboring a secret crush of his own; and the charming and irrepressible Marcus (Steve Howey) has designs on Rachel that don’t necessarily exclude any other woman who catches his eye.

Hilary Swank is a tough nut to crack. The two-time Oscar winner certainly has a nose for dramatic projects that dissect complicated subject matter. At the same time, the actress-producer also has shown she's capable of attaching her name to forgettable fluff like P.S. I Love You or the currently screening rom-com, Something Borrowed.

Weekend Box Office: Thor's 3D Puts It On Top In America
When I kneel down at the side of my bed tonight and pray to Odin I’ll only be asking for one thing. That is: can Thor just please actually come to life, take his hammer, and crush any evidence or footage of the other two movies coming out this week. Second Trailer For Kate Hudson Rom-Com Something Borrowed
I root for Ginnifer Goodwin. She’s the most underrated part of TV’s Big Love and she’s consistently good in almost everything she shows up in, even if she’s showing up in something as terrible as He’s Just Not That Into You. I’ll even be rooting for her in Something Borrowed, which is a Kate Hudson movie, and thus can be immediately dismissed as being terrible.

Something Borrowed Trailer: Kate Hudson Steals Ginnifer Goodwin's Man
This news sounds like a bunch of film makers just feel like taking a vacation. Production Weekly announced via Twitter late yesterday that Colin Farrell has signed on to star in Something Borrowed, a romantic comedy for Warner Bros
In the first film Krasinski will play a confidant to the lead female character played by Ginnifer Goodwin, but in the second film-- provided it gets made, of course-- he would evolve into the male lead
