Straight to video sequels to American Pie continue rushing out onto the bottom shelves of video stores at a rate rivaled only by the number of crappy National Lampoon movies sloughed out straight on to DVD each year. Of course they wouldn't release them if people weren't buying them, so apparently they have something to offer at least some of you.
The latest (but probably not the last) American Pie direct-to-dvd release is called American Pie Presents The Naked Mile, and it'll arrive on DVD December 19th. Eugene Levy returns yet again as Jim's Dad Mr. Levenstein, though Jim himself is nowhere to be seen. Instead, he's joined by all of Stifler's relatives, a tribe of misfits and mullet-wearers. In their latest adventure, the gang of the American Pie video series take a page from Old School and decide to relieve some tension by going streaking down through the quad past the gym. Good for them. The movie will come in both a rated-R version, and an unrated version. Whichever rating you choose, it should retail for $29.98. Pre-orders start November 21, 2006. Below, we've got all the details on Universal's release of the DVD. To watch The Naked Mile official trailer, click here.
