If there’s one DVD set that remains marred in fan memory for all time, it’s “Twin Peaks.” The gap between the first season release and the second season release was so long, there was doubt as to whether a second season set would ever be released on DVD. Thankfully, earlier this year Region 1 got that release (apologies to those out there in other regions who might still be waiting).

Now it looks as if Paramount wants to redo the “Twin Peaks” fiasco by promising another DVD release: a new DVD box set that would include both versions of the show’s pilot and both seasons, remastered. Bloody-Disgusting is reporting the set as part of their Comic-Con coverage. Allegedly the set would also contain hours of bonus material including deleted scenes and two new documentaries, one of which consists of a thirty minute conversation with series creator David Lynch, and series stars Kyle McLachlan, and Mädchen Amick.

If the report is right, Paramount should be making an official announcement soon. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear anything.
