Word broke about a week ago that the Bearded One, George Lucas, might just be planning to return to the Star Wars universe on the big screen. This on top of the long-gestating proposed live-action SW TV series. But while both of those may or may not prove to be pipe dreams, die-hard Star Wars fans can get a regular dose of hot, Jedi-on-Sith action with Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which continues on from the CGI animated film of the same name in telling the story of that infamous struggle -- you know, the one that was basically a footnote in the live-action prequels for some reason.

The second season of Clone Wars premiered back at the beginning of October, but if you've got some catching up to do, the full first season hits Blu-ray and DVD November 3rd. We've got a trailer and several clips from the show below, so you can decide for yourself is the Force is strong with this one. Both the Blu-ray and DVD will bring you 22 episodes, with a featurette for each episode, and seven extended Director's Cuts. The set also includes a 64-page production booklet with even more behind-the-scenes info. You can get all that on the standard DVD version, which will run you $44.98, but upgrading to BD for 59.99 also nets you access to the "Jedi Temple Holocron Vault," with over three more hours of content. Three extra hours of content for $15 -- you don't have to be Yoda to suss out that if you want this show in your collection and you've got a player, Blu-ray is the way to go.
