With one notable exception, Quentin Tarantino has avoided writing and directing sequels in his career. Now, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood is getting the sequel treatment, at least spiritually. Counting Kill Bill as one project, as Tarantino does, this will be the first time the legend will be part of a continuing story. The movie, The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, is written by Tarantino and directed by David Fincher. Surprisingly, it was a comment in a review that convinced the Pulp Fiction director to bring back Brad Pitt’s character from Once Upon a Time.

Booth Is A Resonating Character

Over the weekend, Tarantino made an appearance at the AFI Fest in LA for a screening of OUATIH and a 17-minute preview of the new Cliff Booth movie. He talked about the upcoming sequel, which will hit the 2026 movie schedule on November 25 before being able to be streamed with a Netflix subscription on December 23, and why he decided to write it. It all came from a positive review of the first movie. Tarantino commented (via THR):

I wasn’t just audiences who really connected with Booth and Pitt as Booth. Tarantino went on to explain that he loved the character too, saying:

That led to The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, which Tarantino was originally reported to be directing in addition to writing, before he decided to step back from directing and bring in Fincher. Tarantino is also writing a novelization of the movie, turning Booth into a literal paperback hero. I have to wonder if there is more ahead from the character, assuming this movie ends up a hit. Tarantino wonders too, adding:

Given that Tarantino has expressed that he plans to direct just one more movie in his career, could there be a future where he writes a series of paperbacks about Cliff Booth? I have to admit, I’m intrigued by the idea.

Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood universe is set to expand amid the 2026 movie schedule with the release of The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth. Directed by David Fincher, this spinoff/continuation film sees Brad Pitt reprising his role as the titular character, as he continues to navigate the hazards of Tinseltown. While much of the finer details of the movie have been kept under wraps, some lucky fans were recently treated to the first 17 minutes. And, while I appreciate the reactions, I have one major question.

Fans Sound Off On The New Footage From The Cliff Booth Movie

This past Friday, Tarantino appeared at AFI Fest in Los Angeles, where he took part in a Q&A centered around OUATIH. It was during the event that the Oscar-winning filmmaker dropped the first 17 minutes of the Cliff Booth flick. Some pundits who were in attendance subsequently took to social media to share their thoughts. Overall, people seem to be quite high on this new flick, based on the early reactions on X. Film critic Matt Neglia has nothing but praise for what’s been screened thus far:

Ryan McQuade of AwardsWatch was also in attendance at the festival and, while his thoughts on the Cliff Booth footage are brief, they’re quite clear. He says:

Cliff Booth picks up roughly eight years after the end of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and sees Booth no longer working as a stuntman for Rick Dalton or any other actor. Instead, the laid-back, yet physically capable, guy has now become a “fixer” for Hollywood studios. Despite this chance, it seems one fan – kenzie xcx – is still taken with this latest story revolving around Cliff:

Tarantino – who wrote the script for this new film – officially signed off on Fincher helming the project, as the former didn’t want the movie to be his planned tenth and final film. It would seem that the Kill Bill helmer’s confidence in the acclaimed Fincher has been well placed, as another fan, MightyMike616, has this to say about the Seven director’s personal touches:

Up to this point, much of the general public has only seen a trailer for the Cliff Booth movie and, before that, only a brief Super Bowl trailer had been released. Fans may have seen less than half an hour of the movie at this point, but the early responses could bode well for its performance when it hits theaters and drops on Netflix later this year. But, even amid the praise, there’s one thing I want to know.

I Have One Big Question About Cliff Booth

While I understand that audiences haven’t seen much of the movie at this point, I can’t help but notice that none of the reactors have mentioned humor when sharing thoughts about the first 17 minutes. I know this is a movie by David Fincher, the man who’s directed the likes of Zodiac and Mank. However, comedy was also in the DNA of Tarantino’s OUATIH, and it would be somewhat jarring if that didn’t come into play here. Don’t get me wrong, I’m down for a fresh take from Fincher, but there are so many comedic possibilities with a character like Booth, especially now that he’s a studio fixer.

I could, of course, just be overthinking this, and there could indeed end up being a fair amount of levity. After all, it’s still Quentin Tarantino’s script and, given his sensibilities, I can’t see him not adding any kind of jokes into the screenplay. Like myself, fans are likely to still have questions and thoughts ahead of the Cliff Booth movie’s release. Still, after hearing these early reactions, I’m even more hopeful that David Fincher, Brad Pitt and co. are delivering something grand.

The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth opens in theaters on November 25, and the movie will become available for Netflix subscription holders starting on December 23.

Celebrity couples tend to fascinate the public, just look at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. One former pair who has made countless headlines is Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who finally finalized their divorce after eight years. Unfortunately their family continues to make headlines thanks to drama related to their children. Jolie is reportedly planning on moving, leading fans to wonder how this might affect his ongoing issues with their kids.

Over the past few months, a number of Brad Pitt's kids are abandoning his last name, presumably over drama and allegations related to his split from Angelina Jolie. An alleged insider claims that the Tomb Raider actress' plans to move out of the USA might be an opportunity for Pitt to reunite with this kids. They were quoted by The Daily Mail as saying:

Obviously we should take this report with a grain of salt, as it's unclear who is providing the Daily Mail with this information. There are countless rumors swirling about Brad Pitt and the state of his relationship with his children, and it's hard to tell who we should believe.

As previously mentioned, a number of Brad's kids have dropped his last name, which seems to be the biggest hint about the state of their relationship. He's allegedly hoping the ones who have kept his last name will help him repair his relationship with the others. As the insider claims:

Pitt and Jolie had 6 kids together, with a mixture of them being biological and adopted children. Unfortunately it sounds like he's not really in contact with a few of them, some of whom have recently changed their phone numbers. The insider spoke about how the Fight Club actor is hoping things change, claiming:

This certainly sounds like a complicated and emotional situation, one that outsiders probably won't ever really be able to understand. Still, the public is invested, so more stories about Brad Pitt's relationship with his children are likely going to keep coming out. We'll just have to wait and see how things ultimately shake out.

Professionally, Pitt continues to stay busy both as a producer and an actor. Case in point: is Once Upon a Time In Hollywood spinoff The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth will arrived on Netflix December 23rd as part of the 2026 movie release list.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may have finally settled their divorce a couple years back, but there’s still some alleged drama within the Pitt-Jolie family. This year, three of their kids have made legal moves to drop “Pitt” from their last names following daughter Shiloh doing so first back in 2024. Now, there are new claims running around about how Pitt’s jewelry designer girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, is allegedly helping him out amidst the estrangement.

As of late, Pitt has been promoting Heart of the Beast, one of the latest of 2026 movie releases to hit theaters this weekend. In addition to de Ramon supporting the actor at the premiere this week, she’s also apparently been helping him deal with the changes going on with his family. As one insider claims:

Back in 2024, when Pitt and Jolie’s third child Shiloh turned 18, she legally requested to drop “Pitt” from her name. And then, in April of this year, Zahara made the same decision followed by Maddox in May and Vivienne in August.

Per previous reports, Pitt “understands” why his children “feel the way they do” and knows he’s made “mistakes” as a father. Another source, however, also alleged that Pitt was confident he’d reconnect with his kids as he continues on his sobriety journey. Ramon is apparently a good presence in Pitt’s life. As In Touch's source also suggested:

If these latest claims are to be believed, Pitt’s 33-year-old girlfriend has “an incredibly stable temperament” and is “a great balance” for the 62-year-old Oscar winner, who can reportedly be more “emotional at times”. Pitt is allegedly less likely to go back to his old habits with alcohol because de Ramon “doesn’t approve of it when he gets messy”.

De Ramon and Pitt have reportedly been dating since late 2022 and, as the insider said, Ramon has seen Pitt under the influence before and it “did not go over well with her”. Also, de Ramon has purportedly gotten Pitt into spiritual retreats and meditation since they’ve been together. It's even been alleged that de Ramon was also a contributing factor to Pitt finally settling his divorce with Jolie after nearly a decade of back and forth drama between them. So, all in all, these various reports appear to align in their claims that de Ramon allegedly remains a positive force for Pitt.

As far as Pitt’s work goes, Heart of the Beast sees him playing a retired Army Special Forces veteran, who must survive the freezing Alaskan wilderness after surviving a plane crash alongside his German Shepherd. You can check it out in theaters now.

Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt both came up as actors around the same time, and have some of the best runs an actor can ask for from a Hollywood career. They also famously worked together Interview With The Vampire back in 1993, where they found some friendly competition driving Go Karts against each other. But does Pitt think he rivals Cruise on his new survival thriller, Heart of the Beast?

The latest of 2026 movie releases has Pitt playing a retired Army Special Forces veteran, James Belmont. Him and his German Shepherd have to brave the Alaskan wilderness after a seaplane crash. Here’s what Pitt said when he was asked if there’s a “healthy competition” going on between them to push themselves physically for movies:

Brad Pitt certainly doesn’t have the kind of reputation for action that Tom Cruise does, but he has been doing more strenuous roles lately. His last movie before Heart of the Beast was the F1 movie with the same filmmakers behind Top Gun: Maverick. As Pitt added:

Both Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt are in their early 60s, and showing the world that age doesn’t matter when it comes to being a bankable Hollywood star. Heart of the Beast director David Ayer, who was also in the eTalk interview, was quick to walk back on Pitt’s own answer. In the director’s words:

It sounds like Pitt really was put through the ringer to complete Heart of the Beast. As he shared after Ayer listed what he actually went through for the thriller:

Funny enough, Pitt and Cruise will have movies out at the same time between Heart of the Beast hitting theaters this weekend, and Digger coming out the following one. Digger is more of a character-driven satire for the action star that’s already dividing critics. Don’t you worry, Cruise isn’t quitting on stunts. Last month it was announced he’s making a Days of Thunder sequel with Anne Hathaway.

Pitt may not think he can keep up with Tom Cruise, but wouldn’t it be fun to test that out? For an F1 sequel, perhaps? Either way, we’re happy to see both of them in movie star mode this fall season in movies.

WARNING: Spoilers ahead for Heart of the Beast, so tread carefully!

I have to admit this up front: I was very hesitant to see Brad Pitt’s new movie on the 2026 movie schedule, Heart Of The Beast. I was nervous about watching a man and dog in peril for 2 hours, especially the dog. The thought alone stressed me out. Ultimately, I’m really glad I saw it, because it’s a heartwarming film and Pitt (and the dog) really shine in both the action sequences and the quieter moments.

That said, I was still pretty stressed out watching the movie. Not for the safety of the dog, which is what I expected, but because of what Pitt’s character goes through with the dog. Including one very personal moment for me that had me reliving one of the worst nights of my life. It was the night I had a heart attack myself, and there is one thing that he does in particular that took me back.

The Terrifying Adventure Starts With A Heart Attack

The first 30 minutes of Heart of the Best, with Pitt’s character, Sergeant Major James Belmont (ret.), camping with his dog Odin (or “Odie”), are quiet and contemplative. If you’re like me and had seen the previews, you knew what was coming, so this part of the movie has a tension to it, but it’s also a nice way to ease into the story. He shares a campfire and a beer with one of the only other characters in the movie, a canoer played by J.K. Simmons, and the next morning gets in his float plane to head home.

He doesn’t make it. After navigating a storm, Belmont has a heart attack and the plane crashes. I really didn’t expect this, and it took me back to that night a couple of years ago when I had a heart attack (at the same age that Kevin Smith had his). Belmont and Odie survive the crash, but for the rest of the movie, Belmont is seen chewing up aspirin to mitigate the effects of the heart attack. One of my most indelible memories from the night I had mine was standing in front of the mirror in the bathroom and taking the aspirin out. I didn’t know I was having a heart attack, but I was pretty sure, so I did what people should do when they have one.

Every Time He Grabbed The Aspirin, I thought About That Night

I’ve written before about how the health scare has affected the way I watch movies, and it’s often because of details like this. Belmont taking aspirin over and over brought me to that moment. It was the moment I acknowledged to myself that something was really wrong. I was alone in my house with my dog (who is nothing like Odie, but I love her just the same), and I knew I had to go to the hospital.

Like an idiot, I drove myself to the hospital instead of calling an ambulance, but I made. Not exactly like traversing 50 miles of Alaskan wilderness, to be sure, but still a journey I shouldn’t have made. When I got to the emergency room, I was hustled into the back, and the attending physician asked me if I’d taken any medication. I told him about the aspirin, and he said, “That’s great, that’s exactly what you should do.” At that moment, I started to relax in a way. I was surrounded by technicians and nurses and in the midst of the worst health scare of my life, but I felt like things were going to be ok. That was literally an hour after thinking to myself, as I lay in bed, “If I go to sleep, I might not wake up.”

There Are A Few Other Moments That Had Me Squirming

I don’t like heights, and I really don’t like scenes in movies that have people climbing mountains or buildings or bridges. I can’t watch the famous scene of Tom Cruise climbing the Burj Khalifa in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, for example. I’ve never seen the popular documentary Free Solo featuring climber Alex Honnold. It’s a hard no from me. So when Belmont finds himself needing to walk across a felled tree over a ravine, I really started squirming. When the dog stepped out onto the log, it got worse.

Belmont makes it over once, but when he goes back to assist Odie, things go sideways, and he falls into the raging river below. He lives, but he’s not out of the woods, and neither are we in the audience. Drowning is another visceral fear of mine, and as he fights to get his head above water, the rapids wreck Belmont’s body. Including breaking an arm, which leads me to my next squirming moment…

There Are Some Gross Scenes

Once the intrepid dog saves him from the river, we see that Belmont has a compound fracture of his forearm. With the bone protruding from the skin, he uses a belt (and Odie’s help) to straighten the bone. The sound alone is enough to make someone sick. By the way, this movie should be nominated for an Oscar for Best Sound. It’s fantastic. That’s not the only time things get really gross, either.

After surviving the fall and the rapids, Belmont and Odie come face to face with a pack of wolves. When the wolves attack, one of them gets a good bite on Belmont’s abs, and while both he and Odie eventually fend off their attackers, Belmont is left with the wound that eventually finishes him off. He bleeds out on the rock, watching the Northern Lights, while the dog lives on. Before that, though, we see the wound twice as he tries to clean it, and it is nasty. I felt the pain.

Those were all fleeting things in the movie, looking back on it. It’s the heart attack–and the aspirin–that I will keep thinking about in the days and weeks ahead as I think back on Heart of the Beast. It’s an action movie I didn’t think I would like at all, but it has become a movie I’ve already been thinking about for days, and could end up being one of my favorite movies of the year.

If I'm going to read the book at all, I'll usually do it before I see the book-to-screen adaptation, but that didn't happen with World War Z. I didn't actually read Max Brooks' 2006 novel, World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War, until years after Marc Forster's adaptation starring Brad Pitt hit the big screen. I'd heard that the movie wasn't a faithful adaptation of the original story, and book fans weren't kidding. When I did finally read World War Z and learned firsthand just how different it is from the movie, I had no trouble understanding the frustration and ire that Brooks' fans had over not getting a proper screen adaptation of his oral history-style zombie tale.

As Great As The Book Is, I Still Like The Movie

The film's version of World War Z stars Brad Pitt as a former U.N. investigator who's tasked with trying to solve the rapidly brewing crisis happening in the form of a zombie-like plague that's wreaking havoc on every corner of the planet. Given the number of zombie-focused stories out there, I really like that this one centers on a pro-level problem-solver trying to get to the bottom of the situation before it's too late (rather than the standard just-trying-to-survive tale we typically see).

It's been over a decade since the first movie hit theaters, and though there have been updates about the sequel during that time, it seemed like World War Z 2 might never happen. Then last week, Deadline reported that Pitt was teaming with Edward Berger on the sequel. He and Berger worked together on the upcoming A24 movie The Riders, and if all goes as planned, they'll reteam for the WWZ sequel. Here's hoping things actually do move forward with this new plan. It's unclear what the movie will be about, as Brooks' book doesn't have a sequel. The author did make his debut with The Zombie Survival Guide, which preceded World War Z. Whether or not the guide factors into the plot of the upcoming sequel in some way is unknown. Deadline says Dennis Kelly is working on the script.

The Book Deserves A Faithful Adaptation

I'll absolutely see the new movie if and when it happens, but can we please talk about the book for a minute? I really think it's a missed opportunity not to try to bring Brooks' novel to the big (or small) screen with something that truly embraces (or remotely resembles) the source material. Brooks' book is written in an oral history style, bouncing from one person's account to the next in order to explain the zombie plague across the globe. I really, really want to see a movie (or a TV show) that does something similar.

I think the obvious approach would be a faux documentary or docuseries that breaks down these apocalyptic events from those who survived to describe their experience. With a mix of interviews, found footage and dramatic reenactments, we could be drawn into the story from multiple perspectives (instead of one central character) and experience it as though it were an actual historic global event.

Obviously, if a separate adaptation were to actually happen, there'd need to be some tweaking to the title in order to distinguish the new book adaptation from the Brad Pitt movie(s), but I doubt fans would mind an alteration here if it means we finally get a real adaptation of Brooks' novel.

Maybe this is all just wishful thinking, but I hope a more book-accurate adaptation of the original novel isn't entirely off the table, now that the original movie is getting a follow-up. In the meantime, I'm absolutely hopeful that I'll enjoy World War Z 2 as much as I did the original movie.

You can watch World War Z streaming with a Paramount+ subscription. And if you haven't read World War Z, you can pick up a copy of Max Brooks' book at Amazon and other places where books are sold.

The last time we saw Brad Pitt on our screens, he was barreling around the racetrack in last year’s F1. In Heart of the Beast, his first offering for the 2026 movie calendar, his journey will be a lot slower and much colder. The survival thriller centers around retired Special Forces vet James Belmont and his dog Odin (played by canine actor Uber) on a 50-mile trek through the Alaskan wilderness. While Pitt’s performance is garnering acclaim, it’s Uber who has critics asking if a dog has ever won an Oscar.

It’s the chemistry between Brad Pitt’s James and his German Shepherd Odin — both of whom suffer from PTSD nightmares, the dog also sporting titanium teeth and a prosthetic leg — that is sure to have audiences sobbing, according to Pete Hammond of Deadline. Heart of the Beast features possibly Brad Pitt’s best work and a performance from the canine that’s among the best of 2026. The critic says:

Frank Scheck of THR agrees, saying James’ feelings for Odin are “palpable,” and the way the dog looks at his co-star is so adoring that moviegoers may find themselves re-evaluating their own relationships. Scheck also agrees that Heart of the Beast packs a surprisingly emotional punch that will leave you in tears. He writes:

Jim Vejvoda of IGN gives it a “Great” 8 out of 10, saying Brad Pitt is splendid in the role, but the dog is the heart of the film. The critic says because of the relationship between James and Odin, he stayed invested in every moment of the duo’s grueling trek, writing:

Ryan Lattanzio of IndieWire rates it a B-, writing that Heart of the Beast is a “red-blooded movie” aimed squarely at middle American audiences with its militaristic POV, but it’s also an unexpectedly intimate story about the connection between man and animal. It’s sure to touch anyone who’s ever felt closeness to a pet, according to Lattanzio’s review, which reads:

Owen Gleiberman of Variety says director David Ayer draws from his logistical talent and his taste for violence to craft a survival tale that makes us feel the pain, fear and hardship of James and Odin’s journey. The critic concludes:

In addition to Brad Pitt and Uber, critics heaped praise on Uber’s trainer Andrew Simpson, as well as Uber’s sons Ryker, Zika and Hondo, who double for their father in certain scenes.

My ears have definitely perked up after reading so many good reviews about the connection between Brad Pitt and Uber. No wonder Pitt said he’d want the dog to replace George Clooney in Ocean’s Eleven. So far Heart of the Beast has garnered a 96% Rotten Tomatoes score, so if you want to see this supposedly Oscar-worthy performance from a canine actor, grab your ticket to this one when it premieres Friday, September 25.

Brad Pitt and George Clooney have appeared in a number of films together over the past 25 years and seem to have formed quite the fun rivalry during that time. In fact, the two have been involved in a pretty hilarious prank war with each other, and if verbal shrapnel counts, go ahead and add another point under Pitt’s name. The actor was promoting his upcoming 2026 movie when he took some Ocean’s Eleven-related shots at his co-star.

Heart of the Beast is set to hit theaters this Friday, September 25, so naturally Brad Pitt has been making the rounds in the press to drum up interest. Entertainment journalist Jake Hamilton mentioned that the dog in the movie — Odin — was actually the perfect co-star for Pitt, and asked which of his other movies would have benefited from the addition of the canine. Without hesitation, the actor responded:

Wow, OK, so who’s going to tell George Clooney that he’s been replaced by a dog? I’m actually impressed at how quick Brad Pitt was with that burn, like he had it locked and loaded.

I’m not sure how good Odin would be at rallying the troops to rob Las Vegas’ biggest casinos, but it’s definitely believable that Julia Roberts’ Tess wouldn’t be able to resist the charms of such a good boy. Terry Benedict wouldn’t stand a chance.

As cold-blooded as Brad Pitt’s comment was, I can’t feel too bad for infamous prankster George Clooney. Of course, Pitt’s gotten in on the hijinks, too. He and Clooney joined forces to jokingly campaign for Matt Damon — another Ocean’s Eleven co-star — to be named People’s Sexiest Man Alive. (The joke was on them when it worked.) The pair also trolled the heist film’s other actors when they starred together in 2024’s Wolfs.

But this wasn’t the first time George Clooney was on the receiving end of a Brad Pitt stunt. Pitt pulled an epic prank on the Jay Kelly star when they were filming Ocean’s Twelve in Italy, and Matt Damon said it was the “maddest” he’d ever seen Clooney.

I’m going to assume that Brad Pitt’s canine co-star Odin didn’t see this side of the actor on the set of Heart of the Beast. The survival thriller from David Ayer centers around Pitt’s James Belmont, an Army Special Forces veteran, who becomes stranded in the freezing Alaskan wilderness with his traumatized military combat dog Odin following a plane crash.

Brad Pitt really battled the elements during filming, and in a movie that’s so much about the loyalty between a man and his dog, I can only imagine that if Odin did ask Pitt to help him pull off the biggest casino heist in history, he’d be a part of that team. Sorry, George Clooney.

The first trailer for The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth has finally dropped, and the long-awaited sequel to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is closer than ever to dropping on the 2026 movie schedule. Of course, Brad Pitt shines in the trailer as the washed-up stuntman in the years after the events of the Quentin Tarantino movie. It’s his co-star in OUATIH, Leonardo DiCaprio, who catches some strays in the trailer, however. After seeing it, I'm definitely more excited about the movie. The vibe looks killer, and Pitt's portrayal of the Hollywood stuntman in the original is iconic.

Pitt And DiCaprio Had So Much Fun

One thing I remember so much about the release and subsequent success of Once Upon A Time in Hollywood was the back-and-forth between the two megastars in the movie. Pitt and DiCaprio were tight during the filming and lasted well after the movie’s release. They weren’t above a little ribbing and trash-talking, the way good friends often do. That seems to have carried on in this sequel, which is written by Tarantino and directed by David Fincher.

Towards the end of the trailer, Pitt, as Booth, explains why he’s no longer working with DiCaprio’s character from Once Upon a Time, Rick Dalton, saying:

I have to believe this is another playful jab at DiCaprio from his good buddy. And since that’s the case, it’s got me even more excited for this sequel. Initially, I was lukewarm on the idea of a follow-up to Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, which is one of my favorite Tarantino movies, but once I heard that Tarantino was writing it, and maybe my favorite director, Fincher, would be behind the camera, I got excited.

Now that Netflix has dropped the first trailer and we've got a little taste of what the movie will be like, my excitement level is through the roof (shirtless with a smoke and a beer, of course). DiCaprio isn't in the movie, but joining Pitt is a stellar cast that includes Timothy Olyphant (also reprising his role from OUATIH), Carla Gugino, Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Holt McCallany, and Peter Weller.

It feels like the perfect combination for me, with Pitt convincing Fincher and Tarantino to team up on this one. The movie, which will eventually be available with a Netflix subscription, will hit IMAX screens on November 25th.

I’ve always been of the opinion that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding at Madison Square Garden felt like the American Royal Wedding. Various comments about it seem to prove that it really was that big of an event, too. However, Brad Pitt described the event as the “wedding of the century.” Based on the details he divulged after saying that and what we already know, I totally get why he gave the event such a grand compliment.

We knew Pitt was in attendance at the wedding, and Jason Kelce even described what it was like interacting with the F1 actor at it. Now, he’s shared his own take on the big day. While chatting with ET, he said:

Wow! That's some high praise! However, based on what we know about Kelce and Swift’s big day, this description is not exactly surprising. I mean, Conan O’Brien hyped up the wedding by calling Adam Sandler’s officiating “perfection,” and Mariska Hargitay complimented the couple’s vows while calling the whole ceremony “spectacular and so intimate.” Those are just two examples of guests gushing over the event too. So when you put them all together and consider how famous the newlyweds are, a big description like Pitt’s makes sense.

However, the Ocean’s Eleven star added some details that further prove why this was the “wedding of the century,” saying:

I know weddings often go through the night, but lasting ten to 12 hours at one is for sure a sign that it was an epic party. Considering the guest list and the details we know about the reception, I get why Pitt and his girlfriend Ines de Ramon were able to party it up all night long.

However, amid the fun, Pitt and de Ramon actually lost each other. That’s what the actor was asked about during the interview. Speaking to that point and how they misplaced each other amid the fun, he said:

Since this was a no-phone wedding, the invitations were infamously secretive, the guest list was incredibly long and MSG is a huge venue, I’d assume losing whoever you came with could be overwhelming. However, Pitt and his girlfriend quickly found each other, and it sounds like this whole situation did not dampen the experience one bit.

In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if them losing each other at the party makes their stories about the wedding even better.

Overall, I love that Pitt divulged a few details about what it was like to be at Swift and Kelce’s wedding. It was full of A-listers and everyday folks, and all around, it sounded like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It’s no wonder the actor described it as the “wedding of the century.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie became one of Hollywood’s marquee couples after they became romantically involved in 2005. From there, the pair were the subject of much media speculation, and that was still the case by the time they got married in 2014. Ultimately, Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016, and those legal proceedings dragged on for years. It’s hard for me to believe it’s been a whole decade since the split happened and, now, insiders from both Jolie and Pitt’s camps are reflecting on the relationship.

All in all, the By the Sea stars themselves rarely talk about their 12-year relationship today but, even now, many continue to discuss it. People recently interviewed a few individuals as part of a wide-ranging retrospective on the pair formerly known as “Brangelina.” On the surface, Pitt (now 62) and Jolie (now 51) seemed to have a pristine relationship. According to a source for the F1 star, the romance was not completely harmonious. Said individual made the following allegations about what the dynamic was like:

Jolie and Pitt initially began as co-stars before dating, as they reportedly became attracted to each other while filming 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith. In time, the relationship further developed, and they share six children – with three being biological and three having been adopted. The eventual divorce received a considerable amount of attention and sparked speculation as well. As for the exact reason why the Maria actress eventually decided to file the divorce paperwork, an insider from her side said this:

What followed after that filing were several years filled with legal back-and-forths between both actors. Although it can’t be said with certainty what exactly led to the divorce, Jolie did file legal documents in 2021 and accused Pitt of physically and verbally abusing her and their children on a 2016 flight. A source for Pitt later responded to the allegations and suggested that Jolie was adding “completely untrue information” to the alleged incident.

Ultimately, the Pitt/Jolie divorce was finalized in 2024, with both being declared legally single. Pitt has been dating Ines de Ramon since 2022, while Jolie has allegedly not shown interest in dating. As for the couple’s six kids – Maddox (25), Pax (22), Zahara (21), Shiloh (20) and twins Vivienne and Knox (18) – are mostly estranged from Pitt. Four of the kids either have or are in the process of dropping the surname “Pitt.”

The insiders’ comments should be taken with a grain of salt, but something that can be said is that life has certainly changed for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt since that 2016 divorce filing. It’s honestly quite surreal just how time has flown and, as it continues to do so, Pitt, Jolie and their family can hopefully move forward in ways that are most ideal for them.

Cinema lovers have several upcoming action movies to look forward to, and they sound epic. Among them is a new film starring Brad Pitt, which is called Heart of the Beast. Pitt is reuniting with director David Ayer -- known for movies like A Working Man and Suicide Squad -- for the survival movie, which I already think is going to emotionally devastate me. Much of the film is set against the backdrop of the great outdoors, and it seems the experience wasn't always easy for Pitt or Ayer.

Heart of the Beast sees army vet named James (Pitt) and his beloved military dog, Odin, stranded in the Alaskan wilderness. The duo must trek across nearly 60 miles of dangerous terrain to find their way back to safety. Pitt's time on set likely wasn't quite as treacherous as his character's journey, but it was still a lot When Ayer spoke to Empire, he discussed how his leading man, who he also worked with on Fury, threw himself into the work:

That sounds like a grueling experience, and that's not even all of it. Pitt, Ayer and the crew also filmed through a mix of extreme temperatures, water and a mountainous terrain. Of course, this isn’t the first intense role the actor has ever undertaken. Just think about his work in Fight Club, which returned to theaters earlier this year for one night. He's also taken roles that are mentally demanding, with 12 Monkeys (one of Pitt's signature performances) serving as a prime example of that.

Still, given what we know about Ayer’s past films, he expects a lot from his actors, so Pitt's experience on set probably shouldn't be too surprising. I’m expecting intense action and some dark, yet, relevant themes. Amid the suspense, though, is the relationship between James and Odin (who doesn't seem like a mean movie pet). Ayer also spoke about the importance of that bond and why it's so personal to him:

Prospective viewers may want to have their tissues handy when this 2026 movie release hits theaters on September 25. And I can't wait to check it out! David Ayer's reputation definitely precedes him, and I'm hoping his creative sensibilities mesh with Pitt's commitment to giving grounded performances.

It's fair to say that Brad Pitt has still got it and continues to pick up interesting roles. On that note, later this year, he'll be seen in the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood sequel, The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth. The David Fincher-helmed film will see Pitt reprise his role as Booth, and I hope he still gets some excellent action scenes as he did in OUATIH.

However, it feels like Heart of the Beast will be a bit less grandiose than that aforementioned sequel. Here's hoping that David Ayer's finished film is a thoughtful piece that offers up thrills as well as genuinely emotional moments. And, that aside, I'm hoping that Brad Pitt himself will do some press and share more insight into what it was like shooting in the wilderness.

When I first heard Brad Pitt was returning as Cliff Booth in a 2026 release connected to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, my biggest question was about Quentin Tarantino. The filmmaker has spent years talking about stopping after 10 movies, so handing one of his characters and an entire script over to somebody else seemed pretty surprising. Apparently, the explanation involves Pitt, David Fincher and one extremely productive plane ride.

Speaking with Esquire, Pitt explained how The Adventures of Cliff Booth came back from the dead after Tarantino decided he did not want the project to become his final movie. He knew Tarantino had a finished script and started wondering whether his longtime collaborator Fincher might respond to it. He explained:

That is one heck of a way to get a movie made. Fincher and Pitt already have plenty of history together, having made Se7en, Fight Club and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. So the actor apparently had a pretty good idea of who might connect with Tarantino’s material once its original writer-director stepped away.

Tarantino has since explained why he was comfortable handing Cliff Booth over. He said directing another story set in the world of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood simply did not excite him enough to use as his final film. For that project, he wants to move into territory where he does not already know exactly what he is doing. He also gave some serious praise for his replacement, calling himself and Fincher the “two best directors” and saying the Zodiac helmer wanting to adapt his work showed how seriously the project was being treated.

Anyone worried that Tarantino reluctantly watched somebody else run off with Cliff Booth can probably relax. He wrote the screenplay, remains involved as a producer and personally gave the Oscar-winning actor permission to put it in Fincher’s hands.

Pitt also told the outlet he does not really view The Adventures of Cliff Booth as a sequel. He compared it to the episodic television Tarantino grew up watching, where the same character could wander into another adventure without requiring the previous story to continue directly.

That tracks with what we know so far about the Cliff Booth movie. Pitt is returning to the role that won him his Best Supporting Actor Oscar, but Fincher is behind the camera, and Leonardo DiCaprio’s Rick Dalton is not the center of this story. It sounds like Cliff simply has another strange chapter waiting for him.

We will get to see if Tarantino made the right choice handing the reins over to his character and script soon enough. The Adventures of Cliff Booth begins an exclusive IMAX run Nov. 25 before arriving on streaming for everyone with a Netflix plan on Dec. 23.

Brad Pitt has been an A-list actor for decades, and has been showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Some of the best Brad Pitt movies have landed him at the Academy Awards, including his Oscar-winning performance of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. He's no stranger to Awards Shows, although he recently revealed a secret that I won't be able to unsee anytime soon.

Brad Pitt will soon reprise his Oscar-winning role in the upcoming The Adventures of Cliff Booth, and only time will tell if that results in more nominations. During a conversation with Esquire about his career he admitted he has no clue how to tie a bowtie. What's more, he said he "one hundred percent" accepted his Academy Award while wearing a clip on. As Pitt told the outlet:

Honestly, this is pretty relatable. While I used to know how to tie a bow tie, I haven't actually done it in years. And like Pitt, I've taken to wearing pre-tied versions when attending formal occasions. In fact, I wore one just last weekend at the wedding of my friends.

Fans responded to Brad Pitt's Oscars speech, where he spoke about his long career in Hollywood. And it's fun to know that during that moment he was totally wearing a clip on bow tie while rocking Brioni three-piece tuxedo. In the same interview the Fight Club actor went on to say:

Celebrities: sometimes they really are just like us. Despite how fancy an event like the Academy Awards is, Brad Pitt still ended up wearing a clip on bow tie to the star-studded affair. And I'm not going to be able to look at him at an Awards Show or premiere moving forward without thinking about the fact that he's most definitely wearing a clip on rather than a traditional bow tie.

While moviegoers are looking forward to the release of Brad Pitt's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood spinoff, he continues to make headlines thanks to reported issues involved in his personal life. Specifically his divorce from Angelina Jolie and a number of their children dropping Pitt's last name. Only time will tell how things shake out there, but it's also clear that his star power hasn't been diminished as a result.

The Adventures of Cliff Booth is expected to hit theaters on November 25th as part of the 2026 movie release list. Afterward it will drop for those with a Netflix subscription on December 23rd. Hopefully he rocks a bow tie at the movie's premiere.

I’m pretty sure there was a part of my twentysomething heart that shriveled up and died back in 2005 when Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt announced their breakup. Of course I knew it was for the best, and I’m not one of those people who’s convinced that the Friends star has been carrying a torch for him all these years. However, that doesn’t mean these juicy rumors that the former couple hung out on the set of The Morning Show doesn’t have my full attention.

While Brad Pitt reportedly attended Jennifer Aniston’s 50th birthday bash in 2019, it was a year later at the SAG Awards that the exes allegedly started reconnecting, according to a Daily Mail source, who said:

A second source said The Morning Show set became the setting of a “standing lunch date” for the pair in Jennifer Aniston’s trailer. They said:

The second season of the popular Apple TV series reportedly resumed filming in October 2020, after the COVID shutdown, so if these lunch date rumors are true, that would mean this happened after the exes’ Fast Times at Ridgemont High reunion, which was September 2020. Jennifer Aniston spoke about seeing Brad Pitt (virtually) for the table read at the time, saying there was no awkwardness at all because they are “buddies” and that they kept in touch with each other.

I absolutely love that Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were able to work through their divorce and come out on the other side. Before any of us gets too carried away, however, romance is reportedly no longer part of the equation. The first source said:

Brad Pitt has been dating Ana de Armas for nearly four years, while things seem to be pretty serious between Jennifer Aniston and boyfriend Jim Curtis. A third insider weighed in:

The source went on to say that reconnecting with his ex-wife for those lunch dates in her trailer on The Morning Show set ended up being “one of the best decisions that he has ever made,” and I hope it's true, because I love the idea that their friendship survived.

True or not, there are no Morning Show lunches anymore, as filming has wrapped on the final season of Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon’s workplace drama. You can catch up on episodes with your Apple TV subscription before The Morning Show Season 5 premieres in 2027.

After a lengthy legal battle, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finalized their divorce in 2024. While things are going strong between Pitt and his new girlfriend, Ines De Ramon, Jolie is living the single life. However, sources allege that her former co-star and friend, Salma Hayek, is trying to help her with her love life.

Salma Hayek has been doing very well in the love department, and that's been the case for a long time. She had a surprise wedding to François-Henri Pinault in 2009 in a courthouse in Paris, one of the most romantic cities in the world. Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie has an empty nest, and sources told inTouch that Hayek is allegedly trying to get her friend back on the dating scene:

That's what friends are for, right? Hayek and Jolie have been good friends for a while now, as they co-starred in Marvel's Eternals and the Changeling actress directed the Frida star in the war drama film Without Blood. The two even shared dinner in Los Angeles while they worked on their Marvel flick together. With a bond as strong as theirs, it’s heartwarming that Hayek has reportedly made it her mission to help her friend find love.

Insiders previously claimed that the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider actress’s feelings on post-divorce dating have been focused on learning how to trust new men again and reportedly putting herself out there. Sources made claims to inTouch that Jolie is losing her faith in romance:

It’s true that Brangelina didn’t exactly have a clean split. From the 2016 allegations of Pitt reportedly abusing her and their children on a private flight to wars involving custody and their shared winery, their entire divorce took eight years. With so much legal and emotional drama, it’s understandable why Jolie is allegedly being careful about her next romantic partner.

With many publications calling the actress/director one of the most beautiful women in the world, Jolie should have no problems finding someone to date. But, sources report there’s another reason why the Wanted actress allegedly held off on dating after her split from Brad Pitt:

As tough as divorce must have been for Angelina Jolie, it’s good that her children were there for her when she needed that support. Focusing on motherhood is a great way to find purpose and strength where it matters most. With her six kids no longer children, though, we'll have to see if she decides to start dating. It would seem that's what Hayek wants her to do.

With sources saying Salma Hayek is reportedly playing matchmaker for Angelina Jolie, I’d be curious if her powers of Cupid will truly affect her friend. As the insider shared that the Desperado actress and her husband reportedly know many “highly vetted” men, maybe Jolie can find it in herself to be in the mood for love again.

Be sure to watch their 2026 movie release Without Blood in theaters on September 18th.

Former spouses Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie still find themselves engaged in a legal battle even after the conclusion of their divorce proceedings. The two are involved in proceedings linked to the Château Miraval, the French winery they jointly owned. Pitt (62) and his legal team have been vocal about wanting the case to proceed to trial. Now, the group is making a request of Jolie (51) and her camp. Apparently, as part of this case, Pitt and co. are keen on knowing just how much Jolie earns.

Just recently, Pitt’s lawyers filed a request for Jolie to share “documents sufficient to show her income” following the former couple’s breakup in 2016. Us Weekly has obtained legal documents that show Pitt’s team is specifically looking for information about the Couture star’s earnings between 2017 and 2019. Per the outlet, Pitt’s legal team is not “seeking all of her profit statements” but only “statements that show for films they are already in the money and she is receiving payments.

Angelina Jolie’s attorneys have since responded, and it’s their contention that this monetary-based information isn’t relevant to the case. This also comes after Jolie’s team provided details on her income between 2020 and 2021. Amid this back-and-forth, Jolie and her lawyers also previously argued amid this dispute that she “largely put her career on hold, forgoing years of compensation in the process.” When responding to this filing, Team Jolie also had this to say:

As can reportedly be found in the docs, the F1 star’s team are of the opinion that this latest financial request will provide “context” for the claims of "coercion" and “economic leverage” that Jolie has leveled against him. On the other side of this, the Tomb Raider star’s lawyers argue that “the entire basis for Pitt compelling these answers is a made-up theory that Jolie did not allege.”

This winery conflict began back in 2022, at which point Pitt sued Jolie for allegedly selling her stake in the winery to a third party without his permission. However, Jolie argued that she was within her rights to sell her portion of the business, and she eventually countersued Pitt. The past few years have seen insiders drop claims about how both parties are feeling about the situation. At one point, it was even alleged that Pitt’s purported “hatred” of Jolie fueled the suit yet, at that time, another source claimed it all came down to business dealings for Pitt.

Since then, Angelina Jolie reportedly attempted to initiate a buyout with Brad Pitt, yet he would purportedly only agree if she signed an NDA. It currently remains unclear as to when this case might go to court. There’s also no way of knowing for sure whether Pitt’s request to see more of Jolie’s earnings will be approved.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was a Sony movie, so seeing Brad Pitt’s Cliff Booth return on the Netflix streaming release schedule has been a little confusing. Sony distributed Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 film, watched Pitt win an Oscar for playing the laid-back stuntman and seemingly had every reason to keep the character’s next adventure in-house. Instead, David Fincher’s follow-up The Adventures of Cliff Booth is heading to IMAX before landing on the streaming service. So why is it headed to streaming, anyway?

Sony Pictures chairman Tom Rothman finally explained the studio swap during a recent interview with Variety. According to Rothman, Sony planned to make the 2026 calendar release while Tarantino was attached to direct his own script. As he put it:

That clears up the biggest mystery. Sony did not simply lose a bidding war or decide it had grown tired of Cliff Booth cruising around Los Angeles. Tarantino changed his mind about directing, Fincher became the only acceptable replacement and Fincher’s relationship with Netflix determined where the project could happen.

The pairing makes plenty of sense beyond the business logistics. Fincher and Pitt have worked together on some of the filmmaker's best films: Se7en, Fight Club and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Tarantino handed the character to a filmmaker who already has decades of history with the actor playing him.

Still, Rothman did not pretend he was delighted to watch the project leave Sony. When the outlet asked whether he was disappointed that the studio would not release the sequel, his answer was impressively direct:

I cannot blame him. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood earned more than $377 million worldwide and received 10 Academy Award nominations. Pitt won Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Cliff, making the character an especially valuable piece of the original film’s legacy.

Sony’s decision not to block the move's production also appears to have preserved its relationship with Tarantino. Forcing the project to remain at the studio without the director he wanted would likely have left everyone unhappy and the screenplay sitting on a shelf. At least this way Rothman may be disappointed, but the movie exists.

In The Adventures of Cliff Booth, Pitt returns to the role in a story set in 1977, several years after the events of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. This time, he will be navigating a very different version of the movie business. The supporting cast also includes Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Peter Weller and Corey Fogelmanis. Fincher directs from Tarantino’s screenplay, with Pitt producing alongside Ceán Chaffin.

Netflix is giving the film a larger theatrical launch than many of its originals. It will begin an exclusive two-week run in IMAX theaters on Nov. 25 before becoming available with a Netflix subscription on Dec. 23.

The guest list for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding was star-studded – I mean, Adam Sandler officiated it for Pete's sake. Musicians, football players, actors, and more were present; however, normal everyday folks were there too. It was that juxtaposition that Jason Kelce really loved, as he name-dropped Brad Pitt and the person who took attendance at his high school while recalling his “favorite” moments from the wedding at Madison Square Garden.

It felt like anyone with a connection to Travis or Swift was invited to this high-profile event, and Jason’s comments about the wedding he deemed “more than ten out of ten” emphasize that. While doing an interview on 94 Wip Sports Radio, he opened up about the people he talked to after his brother and sister-in-law tied the knot, and yes, it includes Brad Pitt:

Weddings are one of the few times in life when all your friends and family can collide in one place. For Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, that meant some of the most famous people in the world were interacting with others who are more like you and me (save the connection to the newlyweds). Overall, it’s wild to think that Jason could go from talking to an A-lister like Pitt to reminiscing about his high school days with Mrs. Clark.

It adds to the notion that despite its size, this was an “intimate” wedding, as it seems like everyone kind of got to interact with each other as they celebrated the pop star and football player.

To make that juxtaposition among the guests clearer, Jason provided another example of how his friends and family interacted with a bunch of celebrities, saying:

I would have certainly loved to see some photos from the wedding of this. However, I can picture Conan O’Brien towering over a lot of the guests and standing tall with the football players in attendance. I can also imagine Jason bopping around and talking to everyone from the Moneyball star to an old family friend.

All these worlds coming together must have been an enchanting thing to witness. From “300 lb men from the football business crying” over the couple’s vows to a country singer posting about the wedding favors handed out, it seems like everyone in MSG, no matter where they came from, had a magical experience. This includes Jason Kelce too, who absolutely loved chatting it up with a wide variety of people at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's reception.

Celebrity couples have always fascinated the public, and right now pairs like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce as well as Zendaya and Tom Holland are making countless headlines. But fans also follow when these high-profile couples split. Case in point: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's divorce lasted a decade, and now his children have been dropping "Pitt" from their last name. And an alleged insider made some bold claims about how the Fight Club actor is feeling about this family dynamic.

A number of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's kids are in the process of dropping his last name, with Shiloh, Zahara, Maddox, and Vivienne all taking steps to get rid of "Pitt". Over on journalist Rob Shuter's Substack, he made some claims about how the 62-year-old actor is feeling about that ongoing drama. Per an insider:

Despite how long their divorce proceedings took (and the drama about their winery), it sounds like Brad Pitt is allegedly not blaming his ex for their kids dropping his last name. If legit, this is a very mature perspective on a complicated and emotional family situation.

So what brought on this mature reaction to his children wanting to separate themselves from him in this way? Apparently his sobriety journey was a big influence, as the same report claims:

Taking accountability is a big part of programs like Alcoholics Anonymous, and this report claims that Brad Pitt is doing just that regarding his divorce from Angelina Jolie. And because of that, he's reportedly able to understand why their children might want to drop his last name.

Per this report, there's another big factor that's influencing Pitt's perspective on his family drama. Namely, his parents, one of whom he lost just last year. As a source allegedly told Shuter:

While it remains to be seen if Brad Pitt will reconnect with his children, it sounds like he wants to make that happen. And in turn, that'll help his father, William, and the rest of his family repair their relationships with the estranged kids. The same alleged insider was quoted saying:

The stakes feel high in this situation, and we'll have to see if/when Brad Pitt is able to work things out with his children. If this report is to be believed, he's determined to make this happen sometime in the future.

Professionally, Brad Pitt is keeping busy with a number of thrilling projects on the 2026 movie release list and beyond. Although smart money says that reports about his children are going to keep turning heads.

Brad Pitt’s been making headlines as of late, and it hasn’t been solely due to his work or even his romance with Ines de Ramon. Much has been said about the A-list actor’s relationships with his kids or the purported lack of them. Insiders have alleged that for some time, Pitt has been estranged from the six children he shares with ex-wife Angelina Jolie. While it’s been alleged that Pitt fears being cut off from his kids permanently, a new report claims about why he’s now feeling optimistic about a reconciliation.

According to an insider, Pitt (62) has been living by a mantra that’s partially built upon the principles of “patience, resilience and persistence.” It’s for that alleged reason that the source tells In Touch Weekly that the F1 star isn’t worried about remaining disconnected from his kids forever. This unnamed individual also says Pitt has reportedly changed as a person in the aftermath of his divorce from Jolie (51). Apparently, Pitt also feels allegedly feels confident due to his sobriety:

The Heart of the Beast star shares Maddox (24) Pax (22) Zahara (21) Shiloh (20) and twins Knox and Vivienne (17) with Jolie. Rumors regarding Pitt’s relationship with his kids have seemingly intensified over the past few years amid his continued legal strife with his ex-wife. In 2021, Jolie also leveled claims against Pitt, as she accused him of physically and verbally abusing her and their children amid a 2016 flight. Pitt, for his part, has since denied the allegations. Now, the source sums up his feelings on his kids as follows:

In recent years, Pitt’s kids have seemingly taken steps to distance themselves from him. Daughter Shiloh filed to drop his surname in 2024 and, more recently, his other daughter, Zahara and brother Maddox have sought to drop the name “Pitt” as well. However, it’s also been reported that Pax Jolie-Pitt still has ties to his dad’s side of the family. There hasn’t been any formal indication that any of the kids are seeking to reach out to their dad but, as for why Pitt thinks he’ll link up with them, the source says:

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are still engaged in a court battle involving the Château Miraval winery and, at this point, it’s unclear as to when or how that situation might be resolved. In the meantime, though, if this insider’s comments are to be believed, it would appear that Pitt won’t stop trying to connect with his kids following some years of reportedly “tough” Father’s Days.

Angelina Jolie has been in several high-profile relationships throughout the course of her life, with the most notable arguably being her marriage to Brad Pitt. That union, however, eventually ended, and a contentious divorce battle ensued for years. Jolie (51) and Pitt (62) settled their divorce in 2024, and the latter has since moved on with another partner. As of right now, Jolie isn’t seeing anyone, an insider is dropping claims regarding how the Adventures of Cliff Booth star has affected that stance.

Insider Makes Claims About Angelina Jolie’s Take On Dating

Earlier this year, it was reported that Jolie had been doing fine in the years since her latest divorce and that she’d been “busy” with work and focused on her six kids, whom she shares with Pitt. It was also said at the time that the Maria star hadn’t had a boyfriend since the split. A source for In Touch Weekly recently discussed Jolie’s love life and, allegedly, her relationship with Pitt – who she leveled abuse allegations against in a lawsuit – damaged her perception of romance. The unnamed individual laid out that claim by saying:

On the other side of that equation, Brad Pitt has been dating jeweller Ines de Ramon since late 2022, and they’ve been spotted in public together on multiple occasions. The two were most recently spotted at the French Open this past June, at which point they drew Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet comparisons due to their PDA. If the aforementioned insider is to be believed, Jolie isn’t keen on having such a relationship:

All of this should be taken with a grain of salt. While the Eternals alum hasn’t attested to her ex-spouse/co-star supposedly affecting her views on dating, she has recently spoken about remaining single after the divorce.

What Has Angelina Jolie Said About Dating?

It’s seldom that Jolie talks about dating and what she looks for in her ideal partner. The Oscar winner did, however, recently speak to Yahoo! Entertainment about not having dated for years:

Jolie and Pitt share Maddox (24), Pax (22), Zahara (21), Shiloh (20) and twins Knox and Vivienne (17). By all accounts, she and her children are quite close, and those relationships reportedly endure as they allegedly remain estranged from Pitt. Jolie has also discussed some changes she’s experienced since her divorce, specifically her inability to travel as she pleases. In time, she also plans to leave Hollywood but not until all of her kids have turned 18 and are out of the house.

So, all in all, it seems Angelina Jolie does indeed have plans for the future, though they don’t appear to involve romance. With that, it’s unclear if she’ll eventually decide to re-enter the dating pool like Brad Pitt has.

It is strange now to remember that Fight Club, one of the best movies of the 1990s, was not always a beloved entry in lists of David Fincher's best films. The movie has become one of those titles people talk about as if it arrived fully formed as a cult classic, but according to Edward Norton, the very first wave of audience reactions was a whole lot rougher, and Brad Pitt apparently saw the storm clouds coming, too.

Norton told the story during an appearance on the Fly on the Wall with Dana Carvey and David Spade, where he looked back on Fight Club’s rocky early reception. The actor reminded the hosts that people sometimes forget the movie was a box-office disappointment before it found its audience. He also recalled the movie’s Venice Film Festival premiere, which sounds like exactly the wrong room for Fincher’s bruising, anti-consumerist fever dream. Norton explained:

That is such an incredible mental image. Two of the stars of what would become one of the most quoted movies pre-the new millennium, standing behind a hotel before a major festival premiere, looking at each other and realizing the whole thing might be about to crash into the marble floor.

Honestly, I get why they were worried. Fight Club is not exactly a polite festival movie. It is loud, nasty, funny, angry and deeply uncomfortable by design. It is a movie where the satire keeps biting, and if you drop that into the wrong room, with the wrong expectations, you are basically asking for a poor reception. If someone in that crowd actually thought they were their effing khakis, their mind must have been blown.

The funny thing is, Norton’s story makes the failure sound almost inevitable in hindsight. Not because the movie was bad, obviously. Time has handled that argument pretty well. But because Fight Club was never built to be easily received. It was built to irritate, provoke and make people laugh at things they maybe did not want to laugh at. That can age into cult status beautifully. It can also make a first screening feel like a public punishment.

According to Norton, the audience response was not subtle. He continued:

Plenty of popular '90s movies have not stood the test of time, but Norton's story says a lot about why Fight Club has. Some movies need time to find the people who speak their strange little language. Fincher’s film did not become what it is because everyone understood it right away. It became many folks' favorite of his work because, once it finally found the right audience, that audience would not shut up about it.

All these years later, Norton’s account makes the movie’s disastrous premiere feel like part of the legend. Of course Fight Club got booed. Of course people walked out. Of course Brad Pitt still knew. And despite all that, it remains one of my, and many other cinephiles', favorite page-to-screen adaptations, even if plenty of film bros still miss the point, and nearly 30 years after its release, we are still talking about it.

Another one of Brad Pitt’s kids is seeking to drop his surname, and they’ve already taken a few steps to make that happen. It was recently reported that Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s 24-year-old son, Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt, filed to change his last name to “Jolie.” Maddox’s plans took a major step forward when he landed a court date of September 14, at which point he’ll argue for the change. In the meantime, there’s the question of whether Brad can intervene in any way, and a legal expert is now shedding light on that.

What should be mentioned up front is that Brad Pitt (62) didn’t get involved when his daughter, Shiloh (20) filed to drop his name and only use “Jolie” in 2024. In the midst of Maddox’s attempt to file for a name change, Rachael Bennett of Sullivan Law & Associates, spoke with Us Weekly about the proceedings. According to Bennett, a senior attorney and family law specialist, it would be difficult for Brad to try to block the change even if he wanted to. Bennett laid out the reasoning as follows:

So, based on those comments, it sounds like it would theoretically be easier for the Adventures of Cliff Booth star to have an impact on the proceedings if his son were a minor. At this point, only two of the kids Pitt shares with Angelina Jolie (51) – twins Vivienne and Knox (17) – still fall within that category. When it comes to Maddox, Bennett says he shouldn’t have a hard time having his request granted. The lawyer laid out why the process is “pretty straightforward”:

Maddox and Shiloh aren’t Brad Pitt’s only kids who’ve filed to change their surnames, as their sister, Zahara Marley (21), recently filed as well. Over the last few years, it’s been reported that Pitt’s been estranged from his kids, and there’s seemingly been evidence of that. In 2023, many took notice when Pitt didn’t attend Zahara’s sorority induction ceremony at Spelman College and, more recently, he didn’t attend her graduation. A source from Pitt’s camp, though, claimed the actor was upset about the negative buzz over his absence, since it was allegedly made clear to him that he was not welcome.

Another one of the F1 star’s six kids who hasn’t filed to change their name, as of this writing, is Pax Jolie-Pitt (22). It was recently reported that Pax was also maintaining ties to the Pitt family and recently celebrated his cousin’s engagement with them. However, within that same report, an insider also alleges that Pax “doesn’t have much of a relationship with Brad.”

When it comes to the parents, Jolie and Pitt’s relationship was reportedly contentious amid their divorce proceedings, during which Jolie accused her ex of physically and verbally abusing her and their kids during a flight in 2016. Pitt has since denied those claims. As it stands, the former couple are now still engaged in a legal dispute over a winery they both held financial stakes in.

Brad Pitt’s relationship with his kids has allegedly been unstable amid the legal drama, which has reportedly even made Father’s Day a “tough” time for him. With several of his kids either having changed or trying to change their names, it’s alleged that Pitt’s “biggest fear” is that he’ll eventually be cut off from their lives completely. With that, it’s been alleged that Pitt is “desperate” to reconnect with his kids. Still, in the meantime – barring any changes – it seems Maddox remains set on dropping his father’s name.

As of late, insiders have dropped a bevy of claims regarding Brad Pitt’s (62) relationship with his six kids, who he shares with ex-wife Angelina Jolie (51). Insiders have alleged that the kids – most of whom are now young adults – are mostly estranged from their father. That’s seemingly been evidenced by the fact that several of Pitt’s kids have taken steps to drop his last name. However, it would seem that at least one of the siblings has not only not taken steps to change his last name but has also maintained ties to the Pitt family.

It would seem that Pax Jolie-Pitt (22) is still tight with his dad’s side of the family, and he even recently joined his relatives to celebrate a major occasion. According to Page Six, Jolie-Pitt united with family – including Brad’s sister, Julie Pitt Neal – to celebrate his cousin Sydney’s recent engagement. An insider shared alleged details on that event, which reportedly also included the Heart of the Beast's star’s niece, Reagan Pitt:

Despite Pax spending time with the Pitts, it would seem that his dynamics with his father are different. Another insider spoke out, claiming the young man “doesn’t have much of a relationship with Brad.” Representatives for Brad have not spoken out about that though, as previously mentioned, this latest development comes on the heels of multiple headlines swirling around some of the Jolie-Pitt kids and some legal processes.

It was reported weeks ago that Maddox Jolie-Pitt (24) filed to drop his father’s surname, and he took a major step in that process when he landed a court date of September 14. Shortly after, legal paperwork also revealed that Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt was filing to change her last name to “Jolie” like brother Maddox. All of this comes a few years after sister Shiloh’s (20) decision to drop her dad’s last name on her, and her request to be known as “Shiloh Nouvel Jolie” was eventually approved. Angelina and Brad also share 17-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, who – like Pax – maintain their father’s surname.

The past few years have given way to varying reports on the relationship between Brad Pitt and his kids. In 2023, for instance, many took notice when Pitt was notably absent from Zahara’s sorority induction and that she didn’t use his name. Pitt also didn’t attend Zahara’s recent graduation from Spelman College. While a source claimed the Adventures of Cliff Booth star was able to attend, an insider from Pitt’s camp also claimed it was made clear to him that he was “not welcome” at the event.

Reports about Pitt allegedly remaining out of his kids’ lives have persisted in the years since Jolie made claims against her ex-husband, as she accused him of physically and verbally abusing her and the children during a flight in 2016. Pitt has since denied those allegations.

Despite the reported estrangement, it’s been alleged that Brad Pitt is concerned about his relationships with them. Per a source, Pitt’s “biggest fear” is that he’ll be “permanently disconnected from the kids” and that he reportedly “does want to find a way to make things right.” Apparently, at this point, “Father’s Day is very tough” for the Oscar winner as well, because “he spends it alone.” Whether or not that changes – and Pax decides to reforge a relationship with him as he reportedly has with the Pitts – is uncertain.

Holidays like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day can be a great time to pay homage to the strong guiding figures in your life — or even announce a pregnancy, like one When Calls the Heart couple did. However, for many people who have experienced a death in the family or whose relationships are strained, such days can be difficult, and that’s apparently why Father’s Day is allegedly going to be “very tough” for Brad Pitt, as his children continue dropping his last name.

Brad Pitt shares six children with Angelina Jolie, but since the couple split in 2016, a few of them have dropped (or are in the process of dropping) the “Pitt” from their last name “Jolie-Pitt.” When Father’s Day comes around on June 21, sources for the Daily Mail suggest the Fight Club star will allegedly not be spending it with his estranged family, saying:

Shiloh, 20, was the first of the brood to drop “Pitt” from her last name, doing so in 2024 when she turned 18. This move allegedly “upset” Brad Pitt, but despite his reportedly “desperate” attempts to reconcile, his oldest son Maddox, 24, took legal steps this month to do the same and has a court date set for September 14 to give a judge his reasoning.

In the meantime, though, he will be credited as “Maddox Jolie” in Angelina’s movie Couture, which will hit the 2026 movie schedule this summer.

Days after Maddox’s move, 21-year-old Zahara followed suit, filing to have her name officially changed to “Zahara Marley Jolie.” Her move comes less than a month after Brad Pitt failed to attend her graduation from Spelman College on May 17 in Atlanta, despite Angelina Jolie and several of her siblings attending.

Zahara’s name in the commencement program reportedly was listed as “Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt,” but when her name was read aloud, the “Pitt” was allegedly omitted.

Zahara wasn’t the only graduate in the family this year. 17 year-old Knox finished high school — and also dropped Brad Pitt’s last name from his diploma. It is expected that Knox and his twin sister Vivienne will also legally file to change their names when they turn 18 in July.

This sounds like a tough situation for Brad Pitt, as he’s presumably watching his children grow up and further distance themselves, but an insider said the F1 star isn’t giving up:

Sources have previously said that Brad Pitt’s “biggest fear” was being “permanently disconnected from the kids,” and that he was eager to “find a way to make things right.” However, it could be an uphill battle, with the children seemingly remaining closer to their mother.

In 2021 Angelina Jolie filed domestic abuse claims against Brad Pitt, accusing him of physically and verbally abusing her and their children during a flight in 2016. Pitt has denied the accusations.

Regardless of whether or not the actor can make things right with his children, this Father’s Day may be a lonely one.

Recent reports have suggested that the relationship between Brad Pitt and the children he shares with ex-wife Angelina Jolie has deteriorated. While neither side has openly discussed the state of that dynamic, several of Pitt’s kids have notably either dropped or are trying to drop his last name. One of the latest kids to do so is 24-year-old Maddox, who recently filed to do away with the surname “Pitt.” The act of changing one’s name, of course, requires a formal process and, now, Maddox has reportedly taken another step in that regard.

Maddox Jolie-Pitt has officially landed a court date as part of his attempt to change his surname. Per legal documents obtained by In Touch Weekly, Maddox is officially set to head to court on September 14, and it’s there that a judge will hear his reasons for wanting to change his name. More recently, the young man had been using the name “Maddox Jolie,” and that’s how he’s credited in Angelina’s movie, Couture, which opens in U.S. theaters this summer amid the 2026 movie schedule.

News of Maddox’s decision to change his name came at the end of May and, around that same time, an insider alleged that 62-year-old Brad Pitt was not pleased with the decision. The unnamed source went as far as to claim that Pitt’s “biggest fear” was that he’d be “permanently disconnected from the kids.” According to that same report, the F1 star was also eager to “find a way to make things right.” Regardless, there have been several developments that would seemingly suggest he and his children aren’t currently close.

Pitt and Jolie’s daughter, Shiloh (20), was the first of the kids to file to drop “Pitt,” as she did so on her 18th birthday back in 2024. Months after that, her request was approved, and she now goes by “Shiloh Nouvel Jolie”. More recently, one of the former celebrity couple’s other daughters, Zahara (21) also filed name change-related paperwork this past April. Zahara was referred to as “Zahara Marley Jolie” at her recent college graduation – which Pitt didn’t attend – though the ceremony’s program apparently listed her as “Jolie-Pitt”.

These name changes also come several years after Angelina Jolie (51) leveling claims against Brad Pitt. Via legal documents the actress/director filed in 2021, she accused Pitt of physically and verbally abusing her and their children during a flight in 2016. Since then, Pitt has denied the accusations.

Jolie and Pitt also share three other children – son Pax (22) and twins Knox and Vivienne (18). Several years ago, it was alleged that Pitt had a “pretty good relationship” with his kids, particularly his younger ones. However, estrangement rumors persisted for one reason or another, including Pitt’s absence from Zahara’s sorority induction ceremony a few years ago.

Even if Brad Pitt wants to reconcile with his children as has been alleged, recent circumstances seem to suggest that they’re trying to distance themselves from him. On that note, it’s uncertain whether Pitt himself will come up during Maddox’s court hearing as a specific reason for him changing his name.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s legal battle over the Château Miraval winery is ongoing, despite the fact that it’s been over a year since they settled their divorce (and nearly a decade since they split up). However, now the F1 star finds himself in a more unusual battle, facing a lawsuit from a penis cream company against his own skincare brand — and according to sources, Pitt is quite unhappy about it.

The Fight Club actor’s company Beau Domaine is being accused of trademark infringement by a California-based men’s grooming company called Beau D. According to court documents, the latter is seeking more than $75,000 in damages from Brad Pitt’s brand, as well as a court order that would prevent the actor from further using the name Beau Domaine. According to sources, it sounds like Pitt’s displeasure stems from the nature of Beau D.’s business. The insider told OK! magazine:

Beau D. was founded in 2020 by Brandon Palas, who says in court filings that the name Beau Domaine is too similar to his brand and risks confusing customers. The lawsuit says it qualifies as unfair competition under California law.

Meanwhile, Brad Pitt — who got lovey with girlfriend Ines de Ramon during a rare public outing — started his skincare company in 2022 under the name Le Domaine but underwent a major rebranding in the past year, including the name change to Beau Domaine.

The actor is now allegedly worried that the lawsuit will sully his business’ reputation by associating the A-lister with a cream that claims to “put power in your package.” The source continued:

Beau D. sells intimate care products for men and embraces provocative marketing slogans for its flagship product, the $56 "D. Cream." Instructions for the cream say to, “Rub it in for maximum moisture, smoothness and potency."

Beau Domaine, however, does not sell products directly related to the manhood, and rather uses compounds derived from his winery’s grapes combined with anti-aging molecules for skincare packages like “Brad’s Complete Routine” and other creams and serums.

Brandon Palas denies that this lawsuit was motivated by publicity, saying Beau D. approached Brad Pitt’s business on three separate occasions in an attempt to settle the matter out of court.

It will be interesting to see what comes from this, as Brad Pitt’s alleged unhappiness indicates that neither party is happy with being associated with the other. Stay tuned, and in the meantime, keep your eye on the 2026 movie calendar for several upcoming Pitt projects.

It isn’t rare to see Kylie Jenner And Timothée Chalamet pop up at a sporting event — especially if it’s courtside at a New York Knicks game. Even as they continue to stay mostly private about their three-year relationship, they’ve definitely been seen getting lovey-dovey while taking in some tennis, and now, it seems Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon are taking a page out of their book. The Fight Club star and his girlfriend of over three years were pictured at the French Open, packing on the PDA.

Brad Pitt has been in the news quite a bit lately — not for any of the projects he’s got on the 2026 movie schedule, but for how his children with Angelina Jolie appear to be distancing themselves from him. However, he certainly didn’t seem worried about too much Saturday, when he and Ines de Ramon took in some matches at the French Open:

The two looked perfectly cuddled up in their complementary neutral-toned outfits, as they hugged, held hands and laughed together while watching Mirra Andreeva earn her first Grand Slam title with a win over Maja Chwalińska. I love how comfortable and happy they appear together:

The couple’s show of affection for each other during the tennis tournament draws several comparisons to Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner. Both long-term celebrity couples rarely appear together in public — though just as the Kardashian family member has accompanied Chalamet on the red carpet at awards ceremonies, Ines de Ramon was stunning next to Brad Pitt for the F1 premiere.

Both couples also seem to love tennis, as Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet spent a whole day making out at the U.S. Open back in 2023. However, at another tennis tournament in 2025, the Wonka star did seem a little distracted as Jenner tried to pull his attention away from the on-court action with kisses.

The whole ordeal had fans comparing them to yet another tennis-loving duo, Zendaya and Tom Holland, who breezily sang along to Whitney Houston as they took in a match, showing affection for each other without an overabundance of PDA.

Ines de Ramon and Brad Pitt have such a private relationship that seeing them relax and have some fun together in the public eye was pretty refreshing. Despite the fact that they’ve been together since late 2022 — during which time Pitt settled his divorce with Angelina Jolie and de Ramon helped his sobriety journey — it’s unlikely these two will tie the knot anytime soon.

That messaging has stayed consistent throughout their time together, and a source reiterated that in May, saying that Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon have no interest in getting married or having children.

That’s possibly where they differ from Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet, as rumors of an impending engagement have been swirling around that celebrity relationship, and Jenner saying she does want more kids.

Either way, if these tennis pics are any indication, Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon appear to be as happy as ever.

Much has been said about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s since-settled divorce in recent years, but there’s another component of the drama that’s also been discussed. Rumors have been swirling around the state of Pitt’s relationship with the kids he and Jolie share. It’s been alleged that the perennial leading man has had minimal contact with his children as of late and that the kids have sought to distance themselves from him. Now, after another one of Pitt’s kids drops his last name, an insider shares his purported feelings and fears.

It was reported this past week that Maddox Jolie-Pitt (24) formally filed to have his father’s last name removed. Ahead of this filing, Maddox was credited as “Maddox Jolie” in his mother’s film, Couture, on which he reportedly worked as an assistant director. Jolie (50) adopted Maddox before she and Pitt (62) became romantically involved but, in time, the Adventures of Cliff Booth star legally became the young man’s father. Should this name change filing go through, Jolie and Pitt’s son will be known as Maddox Chivan Jolie.

An insider spoke to Us Weekly after news of the filing broke and, if the person is to be believed, Brad Pitt is distraught over where he stands with his kids right now. With that, the source made allegations about Pitt’s “biggest fear” pertaining to his brood:

Ahead of Maddox Jolie-Pitt’s reported decision to drop his father’s surname, his sister, Shiloh (20), filed to do the same thing back in May 2024. That move coincided with Shiloh’s 18th birthday and, a few months later, she was granted her request to be known as Shiloh Nouvel Jolie. It also recently seemed that their sister, Zahara (21), removed their father’s name as well, as she was referred to as “Zahara Marley Jolie” at her recent graduation from Spelman College, even though she was referred to as Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt in the ceremony’s program. Meanwhile, sister Vivienne (17) didn’t use “Pitt” when being credited in the playbill for The Outsiders.

Those reports of name changes came a few years after Angelina Jolie leveled allegations against Brad Pitt. Jolie claimed Pitt physically and verbally abused her and the children when they were on a flight in 2016. Since then, Pitt has denied the accusations via his legal team. In the aftermath of Pitt’s divorce with Jolie, the source alleges that his kids’ decisions not to carry his last name serves as a sticking point. They said:

Pitt notably made headlines for not attending Zahara’s sorority induction or her recent graduation, with sources alleging that nothing stopped him from going to the latter. However, a source from Pitt’s camp claimed the actor was displeased with the “estrangement” narrative being propped up when it was allegedly made clear to him that he “would not be welcome.” It was previously alleged in 2022 that the Oscar winner had a “pretty good” relationship with his kids, but times have purportedly changed:

That claim aligns with a previous report and, at that time, a source alleged that Brad Pitt was “desperate” to reconcile with his kids. Like this latest report, though, that information should be taken with a grain of salt. As for right now, it’s unclear as to how long it’ll take for Maddox’s name request to be granted.

Brad Pitt finalized his divorce from ex-wife Angelina Jolie in December 2024 after years of being engaged in legal proceedings with her. Since then, the two actors have reportedly moved into different chapters of their lives but, simultaneously, they remain linked due to their children. Jolie (50) and Pitt (62) share six children, and it’s been alleged that the latter is estranged from the kids. Now, following Pitt’s absence from his daughter’s graduation, an insider is making claims about Pitt’s feelings on rumors swirling around him.

Jolie and Pitt’s daughter, Zahara (21), graduated from Spelman College on Sunday, May 17 and her mother and several of her siblings were present for the ceremony in Atlanta. After the event, insiders alleged that Pitt’s estrangement from his child was still in effect. Yet Daily Mail also noted that Pitt purportedly could’ve attended the graduation if he’d wanted to, as nothing reportedly prevented him from being there. A source close to the F1 actor claimed he wasn’t pleased with the speculation surrounding him, saying:

Zahara Marley Jolie (21) committed to Spelman College in 2022 and, at the time, Jolie celebrated her daughter’s enrollment with a social media post. The Maria star was also present when Zahara formally pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Simultaneously, fans also noticed that Pitt didn’t attend the event, sparking rumors about where the Oscar winner stood with his kids. Reports on Pitt’s relationship with his kids have varied over the years and, another source now claims he remains distant from them due to their mother:

Rumors about an alleged “campaign of alienation” come years after Angelina Jolie’s lawsuit against Brad Pitt. In 2021, the Academy Award-winning actress accused Pitt of physically and verbally abusing her and their children while having an outburst on a plane in 2016. Pitt and his legal team have since denied those allegations. By 2022, however, it was still reported that Pitt had a “pretty good” relationship with his kids and that he’d have dinner with the younger ones. Aside from Zahara, he and Jolie share Maddox Chivan (24), Pax (22), Shiloh (19) and twins Knox and Vivienne (18).

In the years that followed, there were familial developments that seemed to suggest the children weren’t so close to Pitt. Aside from his absence from Zahara’s sorority induction, many also took note of Shiloh legally dropping Pitt’s last name. Zahara also doesn’t use his father’s surname. Despite the purported distance between the father and his children, an insider alleged in 2025 that Pitt was “desperate” to reconcile with them.

Brad Pitt himself hasn’t officially spoken out about where he stands with his kids, as the actor has historically kept much of his personal life private. Something that is known, however, is that he’s been dating Ines de Ramon since 2022. As far as Pitt’s relationship with his kids, it remains to be seen whether anything will change in that regard.

Sometimes you have to see it to believe it, and sometimes, if you’re Brad Pitt, seeing it still doesn’t compute. That’s what happened when Leonard DiCaprio’s dad and stepmom came to visit him on the set of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The actor recalled the humorous incident involving Pitt mistakenly thinking his parents were extras in the original film way back before the Cliff Booth sequel came together. Yes, really.

The mix-up occurred when the two were driving around the set and took a corner at Musso & Frank’s on Hollywood Boulevard, when they spotted his parents on the sidewalk. In a video interview with Time, DiCaprio fondly remembered his dad’s set visit for the excellent Tarantino movie when he told Pitt:

DiCaprio explained how his father grew up in San Francisco and Los Angeles, where he was part of the hippie counterculture, while his stepmother is a sikh. During his youth, his dad hung out with the 1970s underground art movement in Los Angeles. He shared how he told Pitt that that was his dad and stepmom, even gesturing to them. The actor laughed about how his parents’ appearances were perfect for the film.

Except DiCaprio’s co-star thought he was messing with him, and even told him, “Yeah, right.” The actor calls the moment amazing and describes it as one he’ll never forget. It’s an endearing story that fans will definitely remember. He recalls telling Pitt:

This is not the first time Leonardo DiCaprio has shared behind-the-scenes stories about the acclaimed Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The actor has previously shared about improvising fan-favorite moments, such as the improvised trailer freak-out scene. This story was also shared by Quentin Tarantino, who was hesitant about the idea, though he later admitted that it actually worked. Further proof that DiCaprio’s coworkers should believe what he says.

Despite the fondness that the actor speaks of the role, he will not be returning to the role for the already-wrapped Once Upon A Time in Hollywood sequel. The actor previously confirmed he will not be returning.

The film is titled The Adventures of Cliff Booth and follows Brad Pitt’s character, with David Fincher directing instead of Quentin Tarantino. It will also be heading directly to Netflix. It takes place eight years after the events of OUAIH and has new actors joining Pitt for this fresh adventure. However, fans can rest assured that some favorites will be returning, such as Justified star Timothy Olyphant as James Stacy.

As for fans of DiCaprio, they don’t have to worry. While the actor doesn’t have a 2026 movie release, he is currently filming a Martin Scorsese film called What Happens at Night with co-star Jennifer Lawrence. A release date has not been given for the DiCaprio-Lawrence movie, but I’m stoked to hear whether or not he brought his parents to set again!

Brad Pitt has managed something almost strange by modern celebrity standards: he has remained one of the most recognizable actors alive without turning himself into a content machine. He has no official social media accounts, and for a movie star whose face has been everywhere for decades, he has stayed noticeably absent from the platforms. But his inner circle allegedly wants him to sign up, and he has some pretty strong thoughts about the idea.

According to a new report from In Touch Weekly, a source told the outlet that the 62-year-old actor is under pressure to join social media, especially with several projects on the 2026 movie release schedule and business ventures that could benefit from the kind of direct fan access most stars now treat as part of the job. The source claims:

As always with anonymous insider claims, this should be taken with a massive grain of salt. The Fight Club star has not personally confirmed any pressure campaign from his team, and this is very much one of those celebrity-reporting situations where “a source says” is doing a lot of the heavy lifting. Still, the idea is not hard to believe.

Hollywood now expects its stars to help move the marketing machine. A major actor can appear on a late-night show, sit for a glossy magazine profile and still be asked why they are not also cutting vertical video for the algorithm goblin.

For the Thelma & Louise breakout actor, that could be useful in theory. The actor has some pretty high-profile upcoming film work, including The Adventures of Cliff Booth and Heart of the Beast. According to reports, he also has business interests outside acting, including his wine, skincare and cashmere ventures, and an official account would almost certainly attract millions of followers quickly. But according to the same insider, Pitt allegedly is not just hesitant, but actively dislikes the idea. The source continued:

This all feels very on-brand for the F1: The Movie alum, at least from the outside. Pitt belongs to the last generation of movie stars who could be massively famous while still maintaining some distance from the public. He came up in an era when a celebrity’s mystery still mattered, when fans saw stars on movie screens, in interviews, on magazine covers and in the occasional paparazzi shot. But unfortunately, now actors are expected to be available in small daily servings, like fame in snack-pack form.

Pitt seems to prefer having more genuine interactions with fans. According to a source, if people approach him nicely and respect his personal space, he’s totally cool with chatting or taking a photo. It’s hard to blame him, really. Social media can be useful for promoting movies, but it also comes with its downsides. One awkward post or poorly timed picture can blow up and lead to a whole week of headlines. Since the 12 Monkeys star already gets plenty of attention without trying, jumping on Instagram or TikTok might just create more chaos in his personal life than it’s worth.

Maybe he eventually changes his mind. Sandra Bullock, his longtime friend, recently joined Instagram, according to the outlet, so the holdout club is apparently losing members. But if this report is accurate, the Moneyball lead is still not ready to trade old-school movie-star distance for a login screen. For now, the A-lister allegedly sees the internet goldmine and would rather leave the shovel in the shed.

On a professional front, Brad Pitt has a very busy fall as Paramount Pictures' action-thriller Heart of the Beast is set for a fall 2026 theatrical release. While the long-awaited sequel to Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood… will see him back as everyone’s favorite stuntman in The Adventures of Cliff Booth, which hits streaming in August for all with a Netflix subscription.

Celebrity couples have a way of staying in the headlines long after the romance fades. Just look at Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez or Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. That’s the case with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, whose years-long legal battle keeps dragging on even after finalizing their divorce in 2024. Now the ongoing fight over their French winery is back in the spotlight, and somehow, even the lawyers are catching a little shrapnel along the way.

Per a report from TMZ, the newest batch of filings isn’t just about the winery itself, but about when this case should actually go to trial. And that’s where things start to get a little sharp. Pitt’s team argues that time is a factor, noting that some witnesses are aging and that one has already passed away. They even go so far as to mention that one of Jolie’s attorneys has been practicing law since 1972.

That part, in particular, reads a little unnecessarily like a jab. I guess it’s the legal equivalent of catching a stray, where the focus briefly shifts from the case itself to how long the proceedings have been going on and how, let's say, advanced in years Jolie’s legal team is.

For those who may need a quick refresher, the dispute centers on Château Miraval, the $164 million French estate and winery the former couple once co-owned. Pitt sued Jolie in 2022, alleging she sold her stake in the property to a third party without his approval, which he claims disrupted a business he spent years building. Jolie, on the other hand, maintains she had every right to move forward with the sale.

Pitt is pushing for the trial to happen sooner rather than later, arguing that the ongoing dispute has prevented him from fully enjoying the property. In court filings, he claims he’s been deprived of the “quiet enjoyment” of the estate, which, considering the price tag and history attached to Miraval, is not exactly a small complaint.

Jolie’s side isn’t buying it, as her legal team argues there’s no real urgency here, and that moving the trial from the 2026 calendar schedule to slightly later, into September 2027, is more than reasonable. According to her filing, Pitt hasn’t presented concrete evidence showing that the legal situation is actually interfering with his ability to use the estate.

The Changeling actress’s response doesn’t directly engage with the comments about her legal team's age. Still, her team does push back on another claim from Pitt’s side, specifically the idea that a later trial date would conflict with Jewish High Holidays. According to Jolie’s filing, Pitt didn’t actually identify any of his attorneys who would be affected, which undercuts the argument a bit.

A judge still hasn’t ruled on the competing timelines, and until that happens, the case continues to inch forward at its current pace. Meanwhile, the broader dispute over Miraval, and what happens next with the winery, remains unresolved. If the latest filings are any indication, this fight isn’t wrapping up anytime soon.

Kim Kardashian is arguably one of the most recognizable celebrities on the planet, but that’s apparently not enough to earn her respect amongst some in Hollywood. One of the biggest criticisms she and the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner family receive is that they’re famous for being famous, but is it possible that Kim’s new romance with Lewis Hamilton could change that due to his friendship with F1 co-star Brad Pitt?

The Kardashians star may be making moves into the TV and movie corner of the entertainment industry now, with All’s Fair getting a Season 2 renewal and an “unapologetically R-rated” Netflix comedy in the works, but reality TV is Kim Kardashian’s bread and butter. That’s not enough for some Hollywood circles, which is allegedly an issue for her. Radar alleges:

Now that an F1 sequel is in the works, with Kim Kardashian’s new beau Lewis Hamilton working with Brad Pitt and F1 director Joseph Kosinski on a sequel, the SKIMS boss allegedly thinks it’s only a matter of time before she and Hamilton start going on double dates with Pitt and his longtime partner Ines de Ramon. According to Radar, Kardashian allegedly thinks this could earn her more clout, as the source claimed:

Lewis Hamilton had a major role in F1, and not just by playing himself in the movie. His involvement in F1 as a producer was reportedly integral in coercing Brad Pitt to join the movie. He also worked closely with director Joseph Kosinski, going through the script line-by-line to make sure every detail was as authentic as possible.

This has reportedly led to a close friendship between the Formula One racing driver and the Hollywood A-lister, but we’ll have to see if that translates into double dates.

Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton have known each other for over a decade, but their celebrity relationship didn’t begin until early 2026. The couple were seen arriving at hotels together in the Cotswolds and in Paris before sitting next to each other at the Super Bowl.

While they haven’t bothered to hide when they’re vacationing together — sharing pics from the same location, even if they don’t include shots of each other — they’ve stopped short of speaking publicly about their budding romance, with Lewis Hamilton refusing to answer questions about Kim during a racing press conference.

It’s unknown how serious Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton are — or how many of her 52-point list of “man”-ifestations he checks off — as the mom of four was reportedly keeping things casual. That makes sense for their busy schedules, but I’d imagine a double date with Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon might send a different message.

For now, you can stream F1 with an Apple TV subscription or watch Kim and her family on The Kardashians with a Hulu subscription.

It’s hard to believe it’s been almost 30 years since Fight Club was released in theaters. The movie has truly stood the test of time over the last three decades and has to be seen as a modern movie classic. It’s the sort of movie that fans have likely watched dozens, if not hundreds, of times, but there are certainly those who have never seen Fight Club. What's more, there are fans who love the movie who have probably never seen it on a big screen.

Fight Club Is Returning To Theaters

That’s set to change as a new 4K transfer of Fight Club will make its debut in theaters this year. Unfortunately, the opportunity to see this will be limited to one day only, April 22. Even event screenings often run for a couple of days, so this one is even more limited than most. Based on showtimes on Fandango, there is only a single showing of the film, so there aren't even multiple options on the one day.

As somebody who did see Fight Club in theaters back in 1999, I can say it was an experience I still remember. Although I’ll admit part of that may be due to not knowing the story or the ending; the Fight Club ending is so well-known at this point that some know it even without ever seeing the film. Which is not to say everybody agrees on Fight Club's ending. Maybe discussing the ending is the reason none of us were supposed to talk about Fight Club.

At the same time, seeing it in a theater full of people who have already seen Fight Club has a lot to be said for it too. The communal experience of watching a classic movie with other people who love it can be a lot of fun as everybody experiences those memorable moments together.

Fight Club Is Getting A 4K Blu-Ray Release Too

For those who miss out on the theatrical exhibition of the new 4K version of Fight Club, or who just want to own it, there’s also good news as pre-orders are now open for a 4K Steelbook version. Plus the movie will also be released Digitally in 4K starting May 12.

Fight Club is one of those movies that seem to generate an endless amount of fan conversation. Does it glorify the toxic masculinity which is presents, or is it a condemnation? The movie maybe hasn’t aged all that well in a few ways, but that may be exactly why the movie is still talked about, as there may be no film from the late 1990s that is more “of its era” than Fight Club.

Tickets for the theatrical return of Fight Club are available now.

The Batman Part II has been a movie that fans have been waiting for for years, and while the release date of the project has been delayed multiple times, it did appear that production was set to get underway soon ahead of the film’s 2027 release date. However, a new rumor claims there’s a problem as one key role has yet to be cast.

Brad Pitt And Daniel Craig Were Reportedly Offered The same Batman Part II Role

The Batman Part II has been putting together a star-studded cast, which includes Sebastian Stan and Scarlett Johansson. According to World of Reel, there’s at least one more role to fill that is looking for a big name, as both Brad Pitt and Daniel Craig have reportedly considered it, though both have allegedly passed. As such, the role is still unfilled. What’s most interesting is that the part isn’t a major name in the Batman canon; it’s the father of one.

All rumors, and some evidence, point to Stan playing the role of Harvey Dent, the Gotham City DA who becomes the villain Two-Face. This new rumor indicates that Harvey's father Christopher Dent will also be a major character in The Batman Part II. This is the role that both Craig and Pitt have reportedly passed on. While it might be an attempt at stunt casting, it appears that Harvey Dent’s family may actually be significant characters in the movie. It’s suggested in the same piece that Johansson’s role in the film will be as Gilda Dent, Harvey’s wife.

Why Pitt And Craig May Have Passed

It’s maybe not that surprising that both Brad Pitt and Daniel Craig passed on The Batman Part II. One has to imagine that both of them could have been part of almost any superhero movie they wanted, and yet neither of them has been part of the genre to this point. Craig was briefly attached to the Sgt. Rock movie before that film fell apart, but that movie was clearly going to be something unique, coming as it was from director Luca Guadagnino.

However, the reason both stars passed may not be because they didn’t want the part; it may simply be that neither of them is available. Craig is attached to Damien Chazelle's next project, which is expected to start filming in October, and Brad Pitt has his own big project in Ocean's 14. That movie is expected to start filming this year, and even if neither film is technically a scheduling conflict, it's possible that both actors just didn’t want to work on two big projects back to back.

One assumes that, with Brad Pitt and Daniel Craig being considered for the role of Christopher Dent, whoever is next on the list will likely be an equally significant name. Hopefully, that name can be found quickly, preventing any additional delays in production. We’ve all been waiting long enough.

Celebrity couples have a way of capturing the public's attention. Just look at Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez or Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. Their divorces also tend to make headlines, as was the case with the decade-long battle between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. And an anonymous insider made some claims about how the Tomb Raider actress is doing a year after things finally settled.

Pitt and Jolie's divorce was finalized in December of 2024, although the two A-listers have continued to battle over a winery they own. Someone who is reportedly close to Angelina recently spoke to People about what's going on behind the scenes, claiming:

If this person is to be believed, than it sounds like the star of Eternals (which is streaming with a Disney+ subscription) isn't trying to meet someone new or date right now. Instead she's focusing on her children, as well as her career as a bonafide movie star. Although I have to assume that whenever she ends up dating again it'll essentially break the internet. I mean, just look at how obsessed folks were with Brangelina at the start of their relationship.

While there were already rumors of Brad Pitt dating someone new, this anonymous insider maintains that Jolie isn't doing the same. In the same report, they also claimed the following:

Divorce is hard for anyone, but perhaps the years of battling with Brad Pitt in court has prepared Angelina Jolie to be alone for a little while. If this anonymous insider is to be believed, then the 50 year-old A-lister is perfectly happy concentrating on being a mother and actress for the time being. She's also attached to a number of upcoming projects, including a new Maleficent movie. Unfortunately for fans of Eternals, there's no indication that she and her co-star are coming back for upcoming Marvel movies.

As previously mentioned, Angelina Jolie's love life has made countless headlines over the years. She and Brad Pitt got together right after his relationship with Jennifer Aniston, with the love triangle being Hollywood's hottest story at the time. They eventually got married and created a family, although their divorce took years and presumably a great deal of money.

We'll just have to wait and see if/when both Jolie and Pitt end up in new relationships. Given how much the public is invested in their personal lives, I have to assume it'll be big news.

Star Christina Applegate has spent the past five years dealing with the new realities of her multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis, but much of her life until then was all about starring on a number of TV shows and in movies, like the wild rom-com, Anchorman. Her recently released memoir has revealed a lot about her time as one of Hollywood’s top talents, however, including some of her dating exploits. One thing she now admits to is dumping Brad Pitt during her time on Married…with Children while they attended an awards show, and the story “gets worse” from there.

What Christina Applegate Said About Dumping Brad Pitt During An Awards Show

Christina Applegate has done everything from lead acclaimed shows like Dead to Me (which you can watch with your Netflix subscription) and Samantha Who?, to proudly starring in Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead and other films, and even won an Emmy for her iconic guest starring role on Friends. But, she will likely always be best known for the show that made her famous, Married…with Children.

She reflected on her life, including that time during her early career in her new memoir, You with the Sad Eyes (via Page Six), and opened up about some of her dating life as she dealt with fame while still being a teenager. The actress was 17 when she briefly dated Brad Pitt, who was around 26 and still basically unknown, but a part of Applegate’s circle of Hollywood friends. As she says in her book, she took Pitt as her date when she attended the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards to present, but someone else in the room stole her attention:

Heavy metal was incredibly popular in the late ‘80s, and Skid Row was one of the bands that racked up a number of hits back in the day. But, that was quite a while ago now, so I know you would like a side by side comparison to see what Pitt looked like then and who the Bad Moms star couldn’t take her eyes off of. Observe now, Pitt in the 1989 slasher movie, Cutting Class, and Bach in his band’s “18 and Life” music video from the same year:

They don’t look entirely dissimilar, but I guess Bach’s status as a “long-haired hunk” really flipped a switch for Applegate. At any rate, she was so enamored with the singer that she abandoned her date, which made the situation worse for both of them:

I think everyone can understand why the Se7en actor was pissed. Not only did he get dumped, but it literally happened during a very public date. To top it off, he felt he had to drive his date’s mom (who had gone with them) home afterwards! I have to say, the fact that he didn’t leave her to find a cab says a lot about the type of person he probably was, right? Applegate continued:

Though she admits that this tale doesn’t make her look great, it is true that she was very young and likely just didn’t have the presence of mind to realize how much this would suck for her date. And, if you’re wondering how things went with Bach and Applegate, well she quickly found out that he had both a long-term girlfriend and a 1-year-old kid, so her efforts to entice him went nowhere. Hindsight really is 20/20.

Chris Hemsworth comes across as a super cool guy. He’s very good at what he does (both in comedic and dramatic roles), he’s one of the most successful movie stars in the world, and he has that winning smile and cool blue eyes. Unfortunately, there’s no level of cool in the world that can disable the proper anxiety that comes when one gets to meet a Hollywood legend, and Hemsworth got a hard lesson in that field when he once had the opportunity to meet the one and only Brad Pitt.

The Crime 101 actor is a big fan of Pitt’s – so much so that he and his wife Elsa Pataky named their son Tristan after the Oscar-winner’s character in the 1994 western Legends of the Fall. This was a bit of trivia that Hemsworth recently discussed during an appearance on the Smartless podcast, and it led to the actor being asked if he had ever met the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star. He then shared this cringe-inducing tale:

In response, co-host Jason Bateman remarked that the moment would “slow down” for him, and I totally get what he means: this whole interaction would play in my mind in agonizing slow-motion. We’ve all had a similar experience where our own personal greeting didn’t match someone else’s, but it’s typically not Brad Pitt who is on the other side of the introduction.

Adding insult to injury – and kudos to Hemsworth’s confidence in sharing the anecdote – is that he really really made an effort to be chill. He got word that Pitt wanted to meet him with advance notice, and he tried to be blase about it, but the effort was for nought. He added,

He might play a god on the big screen, but he’s human just like all of us.

Perhaps Chris Hemsworth and Brad Pitt will work together one day and put this moment in the past, but for now, Hemsworth is working with plenty of other big stars, including the ensemble in Crime 101 (which is in theaters now and features Mark Ruffalo, Halle Berry, Barry Keoghan, and Nick Nolte) and the ridiculous lineup featured in the upcoming Marvel movie Avengers: Doomsday (arriving on the big screen December 18).

Celebrity couples have a way of capturing the public's attention, as do divorce battles. Just look at how many headlines came from Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. Another former pair that's been battling for years is Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, whose divorce was finalized after eight years. Despite this they've continued to battle over a winery they own, although it looks like the A-listers might finally be forming a truce. Let's break it all down.

Brangelina's winery lawsuit has been going on for years, further tying the former couple to each other. But according to some anonymous insiders who allegedly spoke to Closer Online, that saga may be coming to an end. Someone who is reportedly close to the Fight Club actor claimed:

Points were made. If this insider is to be believed, it sounds like the star of F1 (which is streaming with an Apple TV subscription) is trying to end the decade-long battle over Château Miraval. Specifically the goal is to have the matter resolved before 2026 comes to an end. But how does Angelina Jolie feel about it?

In the same report, there's a quote from another anonymous insider who is allegedly close to the Eternals actress. They claim that she's reportedly looking for a "truce" with her famous ex-husband, offering:

These two alleged insiders' comments may offer hope that that the lawsuit over Pitt and Jolie's winery may finally be coming to an end. Of course, it remains to be seen if this actually happens, despite reports that the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor is hoping to resolve the matter before the end of the year. Fingers crossed that the final chapter in this former couple's decade-long divorce proceedings finally comes to fruition.

Only time time will tell if these anonymous insiders' comments are legit. In the meantime, both Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are keeping busy with a number of acting projects, on the 2026 movie release list and beyond. Given the star power of both A-listers, smart money says that the public is going to continue following along with their wine battle.

Brad Pitt’s F1 was a massive box office hit last year, a noteworthy accomplishment considering the movie was an original IP. However, any movie that isn’t already part of a franchise still has the potential to become one, and it appears that may be in the cards for the racing movie. And after hearing one fan's idea for a sequel that involves Tom Cruise, I'd be all for it.

While nothing is set in stone, early development has apparently begun on a sequel to F1. The first step in creating any movie is coming up with a story to tell, and one post from @miguelaraizac on Twitter reacting to the news of the potential sequel has already pitched a basic concept that is so perfect that the idea has gone viral. And that idea is to reunite the Interview with a Vampire co-stars Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. The post reads (translated from Spanish)…

Make this happen. Sign the talent. I love it not only because it would put Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise back in a movie together, but because a pitch like this would actually set up Tom Cruise as the “bad guy” in the story, which is something that we don’t see very often.

Considering that F1 made over $600 million globally on its own, a sequel that also had Tom Cruise making $1 billion doesn’t even seem like that big a stretch. It feels like a guarantee. Everybody who saw F1 in theaters would probably be buying tickets in advance to see a sequel that’s going even bigger and the added star power of Cruise would surely draw in people who didn’t see F1 until it was available with their Apple TV subscription.

Tom Cruise’s name had already appeared associated with F1 by virtue of the fact that the racing film from Joseph Kosinski came a few years after he directed Cruise in Top Gun: Maverick. There’s also the fact that both movies were produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Bruckheimer also produced Days of Thunder, Cruise’s own racing movie back in 1990. Plus, the two actors did work together a very long time ago, as I mentioned earlier.

In fact, the idea of getting Pitt and Cruise together in a movie that was a sequel to both F1 and Days of Thunder had actually already been pitched. Joseph Kosinski brought up the idea recently, and while he was clearly joking, it could work.

A great deal was made of the fact that Brad Pitt did his own racing in F1. Tom Cruise is known for doing his own stunts, so any theoretical sequel that included both of them would absolutely see them both doing their own driving, and you can bet such a movie would make a big deal out of that.

The odds of an F1 sequel happening at all are unknown, and the odds of a story like this happening would seem to be a pretty long shot. Still, the idea isn’t impossible, and that means I’ll be pulling for it.

When Apple Original Films’ F1: The Movie started popping up in serious Oscar conversations, my first reaction was mild surprise. Sure, F1's first reactions were strong, and a lot of critics really enjoyed it, yet I was still slightly confused by the film's 2026 Oscar nominations. Despite being a slick, star-driven racing movie from Joseph Kosinski, it's not an obvious awards darling, and yet the more I’ve sat with what Academy voters are actually saying about it, the more I’m starting to think this “surprise” nomination makes a lot more sense than I initially thought.

According to a recent deep dive from Variety into anonymous Oscar ballots and behind-the-scenes voter sentiment, F1 is quietly one of the most well-liked films in the race. Voters repeatedly describe it as “great” and “good old-school entertainment,” which might sound faintly damning until you remember who makes up a large chunk of the Academy.

F1 is precisely the kind of flick that plays well with veteran Academy members who built their careers in an era where broad audience appeal mattered more than cultural discourse or online enthusiasm. It’s glossy, technically proficient, and familiar in structure. Think more Ford v Ferrari rather than Everything Everywhere All at Once.

One anonymous voter didn’t bother hedging at all, bluntly declaring, “I f—ing love that movie.” That’s not a consensus-building statement, but it sounds a lot like a comfort vote. And comfort votes are dangerous in a preferential ballot system, especially in a year where critical passion is fractured across dozens of films, and quite possibly, too many best picture nominees.

Best Picture wins often come down to not necessarily voters picking the movie people love most, but the one most people don’t mind ranking highly. And F1 seems to be landing squarely in that sweet spot: widely watched, broadly liked, and rarely despised. In a field crowded with international contenders, challenging arthouse titles, and films that demand emotional or intellectual investment, F1 asks almost nothing of its voters except to have a good time.

Based on reports, it seems pretty clear that many voters simply don’t have the time to watch everything. In that environment, a polished, accessible studio film with a recognizable star like Brad Pitt and obvious technical strengths starts to look very attractive. The movie has a strong chance of snagging the editing, sound, or visual effects award, and once a movie starts winning the crafts awards, it becomes much easier for it to take home Best Picture, providing a true Oscar upset.

This is where my thinking has shifted. I initially saw F1 as a “why is this here?” contender. Now it feels more like a “why wouldn’t it be?” situation. The Academy has always had room for prestige comfort food–you know, the movies that aren’t revolutionary but are professionally made and emotionally easy to endorse.

That doesn’t mean F1 is a shoo-in for Best Picture or will win any of the categories it's nominated in, but in a year defined by vote-splitting and an increasingly global slate of contenders, being the movie everyone agrees is “pretty great” might be the strongest position of all.

So yes, F1 showing up in the Oscar convo, and securing a Best Picture nom, was surprising, but after hearing how voters are actually talking about it, I’m starting to think the real surprise would be if it didn’t. But, I suppose I will just have to wait and see how things shake out when the Oscars air on March 15th as part of the 2026 TV schedule. In the meantime, if you need to catch up on F1: The Movie, it's available to stream with an Apple TV subscription.

There’s been a lot of talk about an F1 sequel pretty much ever since the Brad Pitt-led racing movie started making its victory lap following a massive box office run. While the sequel isn’t guaranteed and nothing official has been announced, the film’s director, Joseph Kosinski, has joked about where the franchise could go. Are you ready for this? It involves Tom Cruise and his own classic racecar movie, Days of Thunder.

Wait, a sequel to one of the best 2025 movies and a classic ‘90s flick wrapped up into one? What could this be? Well, come along as I dig into Kosinski’s comments about bringing two of the biggest Hollywood icons of all time together again before breaking down why I think it could work (and make loads of cash).

Joseph Kosinski Has A Cool Pitch, Even If He Was Only Half-Serious

Back in June 2025, ahead of the F1 release, Joseph Kosinski sat down with GQ Magazine UK to talk about the movie and so much more. Eventually, the conversation turned to making a movie with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, whom he directed in Top Gun: Maverick a few years ago. When asked what he would pitch to a studio, Kosinski blurted out an idea that is totally awesome, even if he was only half-serious:

Cruise opened up about the famous go-kart battle he had with Pitt while shooting Interview with the Vampire during Paramount’s CinemaCon 2025 panel, saying they would finish filming and go race each other all night. Channeling that real-life story, along with both giving off the impression that they are extremely competitive, this seems like a recipe for success, or at least crazy on-screen stunts.

This Could Fill In Some Gaps For Sonny Hayes’ Story And Show Us What Came Of Cole Trickle

Though we learn a great deal about Sonny Hayes’ history on and off the track in F1, there are still some gaps in his journey back to the top of the sport after decades of being left in the dust. Having the aging racer cross paths with Cole Trickle and digging up some old beef (or good memories) would add another layer to Hayes’ already complex path of self-discovery and rebirth.

Also, this would give us the chance to see what the former hotshot NASCAR driver has been up to over the past 35 years. Did he become a legend of the sport and earn a spot on the Mt. Rushmore of stock-car racing alongside Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt, and Jeff Gordon, or did he have a streak of bad luck and end up like Hayes, having to claw himself back from a desert of irrelevancy? There are just so many ways they could go.

A Reunion For These Two Is A Long Time Coming

Brad Pitt has said he would work with Tom Cruise again if he didn’t have to hang off an airplane, but he didn’t say anything about racing. All jokes aside, a reunion for the Interview with the Vampire stars is a long time coming, and something just about everyone can get behind.

I don’t know the man personally, but I bet Jerry Bruckheimer, who produced both films, is included in that group of folks who want this to happen. He’s spoken on why the two actors are so successful numerous times over the years, so maybe he’s heard Joseph Kosinski’s idea and will make it happen. Let’s make it happen!

Only time will tell if we’ll get an F1 and Days of Thunder crossover event, but I’ll be there if (or when) it happens. Now we just need to think of a good title…

There have been talks and rumors, and hopeful wishes for a possible Ocean's Fourteen movie for years. Those rumors have been heating up in recent months, and now we can confidently say that it looks like a new installment in the Ocean’s franchise is on the way. We don’t have a ton of details on the movie, and it’s not going to be part of the 2026 movie schedule, but we have learned a little bit, including whether stars George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, and the other cast members will be returning (the answer seems to be ‘yes’). Here’s what we know, and why I’m excited.

When Will Ocean’s Fourteen Be Released?

There is no release date as of yet for Ocean’s Fourteen. George Clooney was quoted in October 2025 as saying that Warner Bros. has approved the budget and that filming could begin in “nine or ten months.” Keeping that schedule on track might prove tricky, given all the big stars with busy schedules who are hopefully going to return for this.

It’s challenging to predict when the movie might be released, but a late 2027 date doesn’t seem impossible if the schedule remains intact.

The Big Stars Will Likely Be Returning

Obviously, it looks like George Clooney (Danny Ocean) is a lock, as he’s been the one doing the most talking about it in pubic. The Jay Kelly star also intimated that he expects Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Don Cheadle to be back. Pitt hinted at his own involvement back in June, though Damon has been playing it more coy.

Of course, the cast is more than just those huge stars. Casey Affleck, Scott Caan, Qin Shaobo, and Eddie Jemison have all been part of the gang in the previous three movies. I think they would be likely to return. Elliott Gould, who had a guest spot in 2025’s Monster: The Ed Gein Story, which you can watch with a Netflix subscription, is an OG cast member and could be back. Andy Garcia also appeared in each of the first three movies.

Al Pacino and Catherine Zeta-Jones weren’t in the first film, but appeared in the second (Zeta-Jones) and third (Pacino) movies. The franchise has also seen the likes of Eddie Izzard, Ellen Barkin, and Vincent Cassel (all of whom were in Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen), plus there is the entire cast of Ocean’s 8. Could Sandra Bullock, who plays Danny Ocean’s sister in the spinoff, appear? The sky’s the limit here, I think.

Sadly, we’ve lost some of the original cast members since Ocean’s Thirteen’s release in 2007. Hollywood legend Carl Reiner (father of the late Rob Reiner) died in 2020, and the great Bernie Mac passed away at age 50 in 2008. Robbie Coltrane and Albert Finney, who both appeared in Ocean’s 12, have also since passed away.

We’ll keep a close eye on any casting announcements in the coming weeks and months.

David Leitch Is Expected To Direct Ocean’s Fourteen

It has been reported that David Leitch will be helming the fourth installment of the series. Leitch has been building quite a resume since making his (uncredited) debut as a director with John Wick in 2014. Over the last decade or so, he’s directed Atomic Blonde (2017), Deadpool 2 (2018), Hobbs & Shaw (2019), Bullet Train (2022), starring Brad Pitt, and The Fall Guy (2024). He even has a heist movie coming out in 2026, How to Rob a Bank, starring Zoë Kravitz, Pete Davidson, and Nicholas Hoult, so he has some experience with movie thieves.

Steven Soderbergh, who directed all three of the original trilogy, will serve as a producer. Soderbergh has been on quite a run recently, releasing at least a movie a year, every year, since 2017, including two in 2025, The Christophers and Black Bag, so it’s understandable that he might want to take a little break from directing.

What Will The Plot Of Ocean’s Fourteen Be?

As of yet, there is no word on who might be writing the script, but Pitt has said what's being developed is “pretty damn tasty.” Given Pitt’s fondness for eating in movies, that’s an encouraging description.

Clooney has also hinted that the script won’t ignore that the Ocean crew is aging, after all, it’s been almost 20 years since we last checked in with the thieves. The star also said he was inspired by the ‘70s heist movie Going In Style, about aging thieves, in an interview with Variety in December 2025.

So long as the movie has a fun heist and some excellent one-liners, I’m confident it’ll be great.

There Is Also An Ocean’s Prequel Starring Margot Robbie In The Works

Ocean’s Fourteen isn’t the only movie to look forward to for fans of the franchise. Word first leaked out in early 2024 that an Ocean’s prequel movie set in the 1960s and starring Margot Robbie was in the works. Ryan Gosling was rumored to be teaming up with Robbie again, and they would be playing Danny Ocean’s parents in the film.

The latest news on the possible prequel came in October 2025, when it was revealed that Gosling wouldn’t be starring, but Bradley Cooper was in talks to take over in the role. Either way, that’s a win, right? Frankly, I may be just as excited about this as I am about Fourteen, after all, the Ocean’s franchise was born in the 1960s with the original Ocean’s 11, starring the Rat Pack, in 1960.

It sounds like we’re still a ways away from either movie being released, but in the meantime, it’s always a good time to rewatch 2001’s Ocean’s Eleven, which you can do with a Paramount+ subscription. I know that I’m planning on diving back in soon.

After missing F1 in all its IMAX glory upon hitting the 2025 movie schedule, I finally got to experience the eye-popping Brad Pitt flick over the holidays. Let me tell you, I loved this movie and I’m not even a big fan of the sport like some of my colleagues. With drama, intense racing sequences, and the great on-screen pairing of Pitt and Damson Idris, I loved just about everything about Joseph Kosinski’s. Well, almost everything…

With all this talk of a potential F1 sequel with Pitt’s Sonny Hayes possibly taking a spin at a new form of racing, there’s something I would like for the movie to leave in the dust and not bring back the second time around. No, it’s not the flashbacks (those Camel racing jumpsuits were amazing), nor is it the first movie’s length. Instead, it’s the on-track antics of F1’s star…

We Have To Tone Down Sonny Hayes’ Problematic On-Track Methods

I get it, rubbing is racing, and racing is rubbing, but Sonny Hayes takes things to the next level throughout F1, and I don’t mean in a good way. Though I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, and the race sequences were mesmerizing, I could only handle so much of Brad Pitt’s character resorting to some down-and-dirty tricks to help his team. Once or twice would have been enough to prove a point that this former hotshot F1 driver is willing to do anything, but I honestly lost count of all the reckless antics that could have gotten someone killed.

If F1 was the start of a franchise, which I wholeheartedly believe it could be, I hope that Hayes doesn’t have to resort to some old and dangerous tricks to keep up with younger drivers and more advanced teams. I’m no traditionalist by any stretch of the imagination, but this aspect of Sonny’s character took this from a great movie to just a good movie.

We Know The Guy Can Race, So Let Him Race

Through those awesome flashback sequences (seriously, I need that Camel racing suit), that exhilarating final race at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, where Sonny Hayes finally gets a win, and his mastery behind the wheel, we know that Brad Pitt’s character can race. All I have to say is: let him race.

I don’t know where the franchise is headed or if Hayes will be racing for APXGP in the future, but if he does get back on the track, I hope a sequel shows him using his racing skills and mental sharpness when going up against the young competition. Sonny and all of those who plan on seeing the movie deserve it. No tricks, no loopholes, no repeated attempts to send races into caution so his teammate can cut some time. Just let him win it clean. Old-time racing, like when he got started, you know?

All that being said, I won’t make the same mistake of missing a possible F1 sequel on the big screen. Maybe with all the award buzz, including a pair of Golden Globe nominations, and the film streaming with an Apple TV subscription, we’ll see what Sonny Hayes has in store for us soon…

I love the Ocean’s movies because they are light and breezy, and because it’s just so clear on the screen that the all-star cast was having a blast as they filmed. That’s true of the original Ocean’s 11, starring the Rat Pack back in 1960. It’s especially true of the three movies from the 21st century. When the cast, including Brad Pitt and Catherine Zeta-Jones, showed up on the set for Ocean's Twelve, which you can watch with a Paramount+ subscription, it seemed they all had a little fun at Zeta-Jones’ expense, as Brad Pitt revealed.

Zeta-Jones Came In Ready To Work…

Catherine Zeta-Jones, being the professional that she is, arrived on set ready to work. Like most standard roles, she wanted to talk shop and figure out how her scenes would work. For Pitt and the other cast members, like George Clooney, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, Don Cheadle, and the rest of the superstars, the movie was really just a nice vacation in Europe. Well, maybe all but one of the actors. Pitt explained in an interview with the Daily Echo around the time of the release of the movie:

Of course, Zeta-Jones eventually fit right in, as Pitt also mentions in the interview:

That’s pretty much how I’ve always pictured the behind-the-scenes escapades in the making of the Ocean’s movies. You can just tell there was a good time going on. It makes me long for a return to that world, and who knows, maybe we will someday, as George Clooney recently teased that Ocean’s Fourteen could be on the way and could even get it “started up” next year.

Ocean’s Twelve Isn’t My Favorite Of The Movies, But It’s Still Great

Director Steven Soderbergh has made a ton of great movies, but I wouldn’t rank Ocean’s Twelve among his best, if I’m honest. Of all the movies (not including Ocean’s 8, which I also like), it’s probably my least favorite of the Ocean’s trilogy. Still, the backstage hijinks might be the best of them all.

All that said, and as brutal as some fans are, I still love rewatching all the movies, including Twelve. Part of the fun is that the locations are more exotic than Vegas, though I do love a good Vegas movie. Shooting in Italy is what made it a vacation, of course, and it’s what sets it apart and makes it so rewatchable for me, even if it’s not as solid as the other movies.

In terms of Hollywood leading men from the past few decades, few come close to being as prolific, versatile, or recognizable as George Clooney. A star of both screen and stage, the 2026 Golden Globe nominee has proven time and time again he’s one of the best to ever do it. But did you know that he once missed out on a part in Thelma & Louise, the role that made Brad Pitt, the other half of his big Hollywood romance, into a big-time star back in the early 1990s?

This “what if” situation became a major topic of conversation when Clooney and his Ocean’s Eleven costar sat down for a chat with The Times. When opening up about missing out on one of Ridley Scott’s best movies, and losing the part of the charming dfriter named J.D., which launched his future friend’s big-screen career, the Jay Kelly star didn’t hold back at all, saying:

At the time this would be going down, sometime between 1988 and 1991, Clooney had already appeared on shows like The Facts of Life, Murder She Wrote, and Roseanne, but his big-screen releases were not as well-known. Well, that is, unless you’re a fan of Grizzly II: Revenge, Return to Horror High, or Return of the Killer Tomatoes.

Clooney would go on to become a household name a few years later, during the early seasons of ER, before making the leap to the silver screen in the mid ‘90s. Despite that, Clooney admits he didn’t watch Thelma & Louise for years after losing the role to Pitt, adding:

Though it could be argued that this is just one friend giving the other a hard time for prolonging the inevitable, it’s not hard to wonder how Clooney’s career would have been if he had played the shirtless drifter remembered for his cowboy hat and blow-dryer. At the same time, now I’m left wondering what Pitt’s career would have been like had he not gotten his big break alongside stars Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis.

Clooney did, in fact, end up watching Thelma & Louise for himself. Looking back, he admits that it had to be Pitt instead of him, even if his longtime friend continues to mess with him about it:

That’s the thing, it’s honestly difficult to imagine anyone besides Pitt playing J.D. Though the character is only a small part of a larger crime epic, he instantly made an impact, and those few scenes remain untouchable 30-plus years later.

All things being said, Clooney, who seemingly cannot be pigeonholed, has had a remarkable career despite never getting another chance to work with Ridley Scott.

It has been roughly six months since Joseph Kosinski’s F1 landed on the 2025 movie schedule and gave Warner Bros. something to be happy about after it made a ton of cash at the box office. If you’re like me and have been wondering what’s next for the movie that had something for Formula 1 newcomers and diehard race fans alike, you’re definitely going to be into what Kosinski has to say about a potential sequel.

When speaking with The Wrap about the Golden Globe-nominated film starring Brad Pitt as a washed-up Formula 1 driver who’s given a second chance on the track and some much-needed redemption, Kosinski teased some new adventures. But that isn’t all, as he also hinted at some plans Pitt has in store, saying:

In case you have forgotten, F1 ends with Brad Pitt’s Sonny Hayes winning his first Formula 1 race, only to walk away from the sport and try something new. What was he trying, you may ask? Well, the former F1 hotshot left the glitz and glamor of the sport to try his hand at the Baja 1000, a grueling, highly competitive, and dangerous long-distance race in the deserts of the Baja California Peninsula in Mexico.

With F1 making a staggering amount of money at the box office and being a hit with critics and audiences alike, it seems very unlikely that Warner Bros. and Apple Films will not get back together to make a sequel happen. Considering Pitt already has some ideas pitched, as well as taking into account the large stack of cash he earned the first time around, I doubt it’ll take much convincing for the Hollywood legend to return.

Though Kosinski didn’t elaborate on what Pitt pitched to him for a possible second film, I’m definitely on board for whatever these two put on screen. Just make sure we get to see some of that teased Baja action before going back to the grand prix races of the world.

Joseph Kosinki Is Also Working With F1 Legend Lewis Hamilton

Though Formula 1 legend Lewis Hamilton had to turn down a role in Top Gun: Maverick, the Scuderia Ferrari driver didn’t make the same mistake when it came to F1. In fact, he made so many contributions that he ended up receiving a producer credit by the time it was all said and done.

Hamilton, who was one of many real-life drivers to show up in some of F1’s intense racing sequences, appears to be working with director Joseph Kosinski and Brad Pitt when it comes to a second movie as well. As Kosinski revealed in the same chat with The Wrap:

What kind of “spitballing” the three were able to talk out is anyone’s guess at this point, but please make this happen. We need this to happen.

If you want to revisit F1 or finally catch it for the first time after missing it in IMAX earlier in the year, you can watch the new movie streaming with an Apple TV subscription right now.
