When it comes to how Spears herself is apparently feeling right now, Page Six’s insider alleges that she’s “devastated” and that the situation “has scared the crap out of her.” It’s also claimed that Spears is aware of the fact that she “has to face the consequences whatever they may be” and that she “feels a lot of regret over what has happened.”

Less than a month after celebrating the sale of her music catalog to publisher Primary Wave, with competing rumors for why she made that decision, Spears is facing new legal troubles after she was arrested late Wednesday evening on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

The pop star, whose dancing social media posts always get her followers talking, is said to have been driving in Westlake Village, not far from her residence, when she was pulled over by California Highway Patrol around 9:30 p.m. PT. Officials soon brought her to a nearby hospital to draw her blood to figure out her blood alcohol content. She reportedly wasn’t beyond the legal limit of .08 in California, according to TMZ, but police are still within their rights to charge drivers who are driving erratically.

Nearly six hours after she was first pulled over, Spears was booked into a Ventura County jail around 3:00 a.m. PT. It took around three hours for her to be let out as a “cite and release” around 6:00 a.m. PT. According to Deadline, the Sheriff’s Office report is missing a reason for the arrest, so it’s unclear if the DUI charge will be pushed or dismissed. At this point, she’s scheduled to appear in a Ventura County Superior Court on May 4.

All are iconic looks, but none may take the cake more than the time Britney Spears went basically nude, then covered her body in a bunch of rhinestone crystals. Or was it a sheer bodysuit? TikTok just can’t seem to agree.

The outfit in question was one Ms. Spears wore in 2003 as part of the promotion for her popular song “Toxic.” There were actually two looks to come out of the music video for “Toxic.” The first is a blue, futuristic flight attendant outfit. The second is the sparkly, rhinestone-covered look.

Speaking with host Jonathan Ross years ago, Britney Spears confirmed the rhinestones in the “Toxic” music video were literally “glued” all over her person to achieve the glittering effect.

The effect is stunning, but a slew of people remember the incident differently, with some even noting they remember a piece of fabric tucked between her fingers denoting a bodysuit. Some of these recollections seem very specific.

• Is this a new Mandela effect? I’m Suree she was wearing a bodysuit.
• No way. This was a sheer suit! There was string wrapped around her finger holding the sleeves on!

So how did this meet-up come together? An insider shares what reportedly went down.

According to a source for US Weekly, the girls’ night in was apparently set up by Britney Spears’ manager, Cade Hudson. The trio (plus Hudson) met up at Kim Kardashian’s house, where they took selfies together that ended up going viral when followers were shocked to see these worlds collide. The insider confirmed that the “...Baby One More Time” singer allegedly doesn’t hang out with the Kardashians very often, saying:

Now, K-Fed is addressing that notion.

Admittedly, the sound of little Phoenix saying “Aunt Britney” is also too adorable for words. Some commenters also seemed to be of the opinion that Spears needed support at this point.

Via her former husband’s book, Britney Spears was accused of breastfeeding while doing cocaine, wielding knives while her sons slept and more. It's in that video that Spears is found in her Mars fortress by an astronaut. Naturally, Hilton nailed the look down to the hair and makeup in a video shared to the media personality’s Instagram, and it’s giving me all the nostalgic feels:

We haven’t seen many public appearances of the pop culture icons together since Spears' wedding to Sam Asghari in 2022 (the couple divorced in 2024) and a party for a mutual friend in early 2023. I miss this duo, and I would love to see them reunite. I think it would be so cool if the “Sometimes” singer dressed up for Halloween in a classic Paris Hilton look. I think my dream Halloween costume for them would include a holy trinity reunion with Lindsey Lohan, dressed as the plastics from Mean Girls. Alas, maybe one day, if the spooky stars align.

Spears’ update included a video, which showed her clad in a bikini and painting while soaking up the sun with her dog. Though their kids are now adults (and he recently stopped getting child support for them), with Federline’s new memoir out, it’s made a lot of accusations about things that supposedly happened with the Crossroads lead as he raised their sons (including her allegedly watching them sleep while holding knives). His book also published texts that he claims Jamie Lynn Spears sent to his current wife, Victoria Prince, after her older sister’s conservatorship ended. According to Us Weekly, this has led the younger Spears to unfollow both Federline and Prince on Instagram.

The outlet notes that one reported text saw the Sweet Magnolias actress detail her feelings after the “Toxic” singer berated her sons on social media, with Jamie Lynn allegedly writing:

The Zoey 101 star allegedly sent other texts to Prince, which noted how she felt Britney was "incapable" of seeing she had “accountability” when it came to communicating with her children, and was “so unaware of anything outside of herself.” It’s also claimed that Jamie Lynn later texted Prince and added (among other things):

Stemming back to the Maleficent comparison, Britney Spears talked about having felt as if her wings had been destroyed by others, saying:

As far as what kind of brain damage Spears would have suffered, it's unknown, and it's unlikely she'll specifically address that in one of her next social posts, though not impossible. If her fans make enough noise to gain the attention of her publicist, manager, etc, then it's plausible she could return to that subject in the future.

Spears also veers into a seemingly unrelated question about visiting the Vatican, possibly in relation to her past thoughts about getting married in the Catholic Church, and Vatican-related pictures. But I'll cop to possibly just personally missing the point here:

If we all wake up in 2026 to Britney Spears soaring across the country via a pair of highly advanced bioengineered wings, I think we should just let her fly, ya know?

Now, her ex, Kevin Federline, is opening up about it, as he specifically commented on his sons seeing their grandfather, Jamie Spears, for the first time in seven years and the impact the conservatorship had on his former father-in-law.

Back in 2019, it was alleged that Jamie Spears got into an altercation with Federline and Britney’s son Sean Preston, who was 13 at the time. After that, a restraining order was put in place. Then, last year, it was reported that the boys and Jamie were reconnecting after being estranged. Now, their dad has opened up about the relationship between his sons and their grandfather, telling ET that “Jamie Spears is a flawed man,” and then explaining:

Federline’s comments fall in line with what his lawyer told Page Six last year. His attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, explained that Sean Preston, who is now 20, and Jayden James, who is 19, “miss their grandfather,” and he said that they had “forgiven him.” He also noted that the restraining order “expired on its own terms,” and that the boys had been in communication with Jamie.

The lawyer also said at the time that Federline wouldn't “oppose” a trip to Louisiana for them to visit their grandfather. Well, now we know that this trip has indeed happened, and Sean Preston and Jayden James have reunited with Jamie in person.

Along with opening up about his kids’ relationships with Jamie Spears, Kevin Federline also shared his thoughts on the conservatorship and how it was handled. He said this specifically about Jamie Spears:

Over the last few years, the Spears family has been under a magnifying glass, especially when it comes to the conservatorship. Britney and her dad had been in a legal battle for years after the conservatorship ended over legal fees, and that case was settled in 2024.

In this new interview, Kevin Federline continued to elaborate on how the conservatorship impacted the Spears family while also explaining his kids’ relationship with Jamie. He said:

Over the years, both Federline and Britney have been critical of each other on social media, and there’s been drama between her, him and their kids. After all this discourse, casual fans may be wondering exactly what Kevin Federline wrote about Britney Spears' behavior in her own home. An early excerpt from his book made a bold allegation about what's happened behind closed doors, reading:

In his memoir (via The New York Times), Kevin claimed there were times when his kids would wake up to see their mother standing in proximity to them while keeping a knife in hand:

Whether she or her team opts to respond to her ex’s claims remains to be seen.

A lot of fans are looking forward to seeing Sydney Sweeney and Zendaya share the screen again when Euphoria Season 3 finally premieres (hopefully next year) on HBO. Just like her co-star on the teen drama (which can be streamed with an HBO Max subscription), Zendaya is always one to watch when it comes to wardrobe. The mononymous actress showed off her own silver ensemble at Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday:

The Louis Vuitton ambassador was decked in the brand from head to toe as she attended the fashion house’s Spring/Summer 2026 show. Zendaya wore no pants beneath the textured metallic silver coat that stopped at her thighs. The piece featured a column of bows running down the center, as white fur lined the collar and long sleeves.

She paired the coat with shiny silver Louis Vuitton stilettos that featured a pointed toe, and that fabulously expensive engagement ring from Tom Holland was on full display as well.

As for whether or not she upstaged her Euphoria co-star, I’m sure people will have their preferences, but I’m certainly not one to pick one woman over the other. They both look fabulous in their wildly different silver ensembles, and I think we’re just “Lucky” (get the Britney Spears reference?) that they’re sharing their looks with the world.

We’ve still got a long wait before we see Sydney Sweeney and Zendaya reunite with their co-stars for Euphoria’s highly anticipated third season, though we did get a first glimpse of Zendaya on set earlier this year.

Fans have been thrilled to see the former pop star experience things like driving and even just wearing a nightgown, which she reportedly couldn’t in the 13 years prior. However, there’s also been some concern about her well-being, her exorbitant vacation spending and worries that she’s no longer protected. With that, insiders have opened up about what allegedly goes on behind closed doors.

Fans can often catch Britney Spears dancing (even through wardrobe malfunctions) on social media, but insiders are apparently concerned that she doesn’t get out of her house much. She’s also alone, Page Six sources allege, with the only people around her being the ones on her payroll. They said:

But since her on-off relationship with him apparently ended, and after her split from husband Sam Asghari in 2023, Spears is now allegedly by herself most of the time (though she has reunited with her son Jayden in recent months).

Sources claim the people closest to her want to help but that Britney Spears doesn’t realize that anything is wrong. Because she is no longer under her conservatorship, mental evaluations are no longer required. One source said:

The police have been called to check on the “...Baby One More Time” singer in the past — including when a video of her dancing with knives went viral — but as far as trying to get Britney Spears to seek help, there isn’t legally much anyone can do, said another insider:

The source pointed out that there was no continued care program ordered when she was released from the conservatorship. Britney Spears is not required to go to therapy and she allegedly doesn’t think she has a problem. The insider said:

It’s hard to hear that after fighting so long to be free of her father’s conservatorship, Britney now may need help that she’s not getting. Fans will definitely continue to keep an eye on her social media with hopes that she is OK.

Britney Spears and Sam Asghari’s divorce was finalized well over a year ago, and they've both moved on. Apparently, the singer’s ex-husband isn’t totally ruling out tying the knot again, either, as he was asked about the potential to get married again.

Right now, Asghari is dating Brooke Irvine. They’ve been together since last November, and when TMZ caught them out on a walk, they asked about the couple’s long-term plans. When asked if he and Irvine would get engaged anytime soon, The Traitors competitor said:

The report notes that Irvine “giggled” at this indecisive answer. However, it does feel significant that he didn’t flat-out say no. Meanwhile, Asghari’s girlfriend didn’t say anything during this interaction about the future of their relationship.

However, that was not all Spears’ ex had to say. He was asked if he had discussed long-term relationship plans and goals with his girlfriend as well. In response, he said:

Irvine, who is a real estate agent, and Asghari were first linked in November 2024, per People, about six months after he finalized his divorce from Spears in May 2024. However, they didn’t go Instagram official until the start of 2025.

Before all this, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari, who first met on the set of "Slumber Party" in 2016, spent nine months separated and working through their divorce, which was finalized “amicably.” However, their union and their relationships after their breakup are still a point of interest.

Just last month, Spears called their marriage a “fake distraction,” and Asghari responded by saying it was “very real” to him, noting that they were “together for seven years.” He also explained in March of 2024 that when it comes to his divorce and their relationship, he views it as a “blessing.” He noted that his relationship with the pop star will always be a chapter in his life, as well, explaining that he wouldn’t talk bad about it.

He’s also been open about how his relationship with the “Circus” singer has helped his career, even though it’s obviously presented obstacles too. However, while we do see Sam Asghari still, he has made it clear that his relationship with Irvine is “not about Hollywood” and “all about love.” That seems like a good mentality to have as their relationship continues, and who knows, maybe they really will get to a point where they get married; they certainly don’t seem to be ruling it out.

While Britney Spears doesn’t participate in formal interviews too often these days, she does manage to interact with the public at large in other ways. The 43-year-old pop star has an active social media presence, and she mostly uses her platform to post various videos of herself dancing. Many of the posts that Spears shares ultimately go viral, and it seems she has another one on her hands. Spears recently shared a clip that features her showing off her moves and wearing a sheer ensemble while doing it.

This latest post from the “Toxic” singer was shared to Instagram and, in it, she sports a black, see-through outfit, black boots and eventually a red hat as well. At one point, the mother of two wears a bikini but she eventually ditches the two-piece, with digital flowers ultimately covering up her breasts. Elsewhere, the singer has been back in the news following the release of Freakier Friday this month, which saw the return of Chad Michael Murray as Jake. In the original movie, he sings to “...Baby One More Time’ at the top of his lungs, and he told CinemaBlend filming the scene was “absolutely terrifying.” He's not the only one who doesn't love performing the early aughts pop hit, as Ms. Spears has also said she's not keen to get back to performing in general.

She’s reconnected with both her mother and sister over the past couple of years and was even reportedly living with her older brother, Bryan, after one of her breakups with on-off boyfriend Paul Soliz.

The relationship between her and her father, Jamie Spears, however, has remained complicated. Despite the patriarch going through medical issues that required his leg to be amputated, Britney Spears has struggled to forgive and forget what he did to her through the conservatorship.

She’s written about it numerous times on social media, recalling the day he took over her life, and after settling the two-year lawsuit with her parents over legal fees tied to her conservatorship case, Britney Spears maintained that, “There has been no justice.”

It’s hard to imagine the relationship between the singer and her parents ever fully healing, but I love that she’s getting to spend time with at least one of her sons again. While speaking on the Page Six podcast, one of the hosts asked about how the Hacks guest star’s career aspirations have been impacted by the fact that most people got to know him because of his romance with Spears. Asghari answered:

The star (who has now moved on romantically with Los Angeles real estate agent Brooke Irvine) was very open about how his involvement with the Crossroads lead gave him a “platform” and upped his visibility. However, he also noted that they met on set, which meant that he was already working toward his goal of becoming an acting talent, whether he was in a relationship with someone famous or not. The slim star (who dropped 40 pounds post-Spears split) also said that there are some downsides, and added:

When the Great Nepo Baby debate of a few years ago was going on, we also heard a lot of this same story from actors like Lily-Rose Depp, who dislikes the title but also admitted to feeling that “people have been ready to see me fail, in a way, since I was a kid,” and talked about having to work a lot harder to get rid of misconceptions about why she gets high profile jobs.

All in all, Asghari has continued to do pretty well for himself by plugging away and auditioning and landing gigs whenever he can, just like any actor. It’s good to hear that he can acknowledge both the upsides and downsides of his famous former romance, and is committed to making sure he works hard for every opportunity he gets.

Britney Spears’ divorce from her third husband was finalized in early May 2024, the same week that her conservatorship battle with her dad, Jamie Spears, officially ended. It was at that time that her stay with Paul Richard Soliz at the Chateau Marmont ended, with cops and paramedics being called after an alleged altercation.

One can imagine that Sam Asghari would be happy to have a less-public relationship after everything he and Britney Spears endured. As the “Stronger” singer regained control of her life post-conservatorship, it seems the two didn’t see eye to eye on her posting nude photos to social media. However, while Asghari “preferred” she didn’t, he admitted he had no right to control what she showed of her body.

In January 2023, he expressed frustration that his wife couldn’t even eat a meal without being swarmed by fans with cameras after Britney Spears was reported to have stormed out of a restaurant after acting “manic.” By March of that year, rumors that their marriage was in trouble really picked up speed when both the singer and Sam Asghari were pictured without their wedding rings.
