From the moment it debuted with a two-hour pilot episode in September of 1994 until it left the air in 2009, ER was a ratings monster. It regularly topped the ratings for the year during its 331-episode run and launched careers left and right. George Clooney for goodness sake! Not only did it have big stars in its regular cast like Clooney, Anthony Edwards, Maura Tierney, and Eriq LaSalle, but it also had a huge amount of guest stars and up-and-coming actors roll through the show. Here is our list of some of the biggest. 

Nick Offerman

Nick Offerman is most well known for playing the great Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation where he regularly delivered some of the funniest lines on the show. He didn't have anything funny to say in his one role on ER where he played a bandmate of a bass player in distress in the emergency room.  

Taraji P. Henson

The accolades for Taraji P. Henson's acting have come fast and fierce in recent years, but she's been showcasing her talent on screen since the late '90s. One of her earliest roles was in a Season 4 episode of ER, and then in Season 5, she returned in a different role. She kept landing guest roles for years on shows like CSI and Boston Legal before landing her starring turn in Empire and the rest is history. 

Bradley Whitford

A few years before the role of Josh Lyman on The West Wing would make him a star, Bradley Whitford appeared in two episodes of ER in 1995. He'd been working regularly for almost a decade at that point and would find small roles here and there for another few years before The West Wing. He's been an in-demand actor ever since. 

Kristin Davis

Before she was a regular on Melrose Place, and before she was one of Jerry's many girlfriends on Seinfeld, Kristin Davis played a woman who was very into George Clooney's character very briefly in one episode of the first season of ER. While she only showed up once on the show, it clearly opened some big doors - and big martini glasses - in the future. 

Zac Efron

Before becoming a star in High School Musical, Zac Efron was almost type-cast as a troubled teen. On ER he played a teenager who turned up in the emergency room after being shot. He was also a troublemaker in an early role on NCIS. These days he's one of the biggest stars to grace the screen, but he used to just be in trouble on screen! 

Ewan McGregor

Ewan McGregor is something different to different generations. For some, he'll always be Renton in Trainspotting. Of course, for many, he'll always be a young Obi-Wan Kenobi. For even others, he's known as the guy who drove his motorcycle around the world in Long Way Round. You can't help but wonder if that name was inspired by his guest spot on ER in a Season 3 episode called "The Long Way Around" in 1997. 

Julie Bowen

While Julie Bowen is best known these days for playing Claire Dunphy in Modern Family, her career stretches way further back. Her first TV role came in the early '90s and her breakout role came in the 1993 Adam Sandler smash hit Happy Gilmore. In the late '90s, she had a nine-episode run on ER as the reoccurring character named Roxanne Please, who was John Carter's (Noah Wyle) girlfriend. 

Ving Rhames

1994 was a big year for Ving Rhames. Not only did he star in Pulp Fiction, but he also landed a reoccurring role as Walt Robbins, father-in-law to Dr. Peter Benton (Eriq La Salle). In total, he appeared in eight episodes over three seasons, but by then he'd also starred in Mission: Impossible and the rest is history. 

Lucy Liu

Lucy Liu is no stranger to hit television shows. She was a star of Ally McBeal in the '90s and '00s, and in Elementary in the teens. Early on, she also appeared in cameos and supporting roles on big shows like NYPD Blue and The X-Files. She also made it onto three episodes of ER, in 1995. 

Chris Pine

Believe it or not, there was a time when Chris Pine wasn't one of the "Chrises" and wasn't one of the biggest movie stars in the world. He was, in his early days, just like so many other actors, just looking to snag any role they could. Luckily for Pine, it was on a show like ER. In fact, the show he appeared in during Season 9 of the show was his first credited acting performance. 

Don Cheadle

When Don Cheadle appeared as a doctor in a 4-episode arc in 2002 on ER, he was already well-established as an actor. In fact, it came not long after he was established enough to take his name off the credits of Ocean's Eleven, despite delivering some of the best one-liners in the movie. 

J.K. Simmons

Any fan of Law & Order knows just how ingrained J.K. Simmons was in prime-time television around the turn of the century. He was a regular on that show, and he turned up in a bunch of others as well, including an episode of ER in 2004. you can always count on a great J.K. Simmons performance, no matter what he is in. 

Christina Hendricks

While she had been cast in a number of shows before Mad Men, Christina Hendricks had never really broken through as a star. That changed with the AMC show, but before that, she was just a regular hard-working actress in Hollywood. One of her earliest gigs was on ER in 2002. 

Adam Scott

Adam Scott is not the only Parks And Recreation star to appear in ER early in his career, but he did have a pretty intense role as an injured man clinging to life in the emergency room way back in 1995. It's hard to imagine it took 15 more years to get the big-time attention he deserves when he landed his role on Park & Rec. 

Glen Howerton

In 2005 Always Sunny In Philadelphia took the world by storm and went on to become one of the longest-running sitcoms of all time. Glen Howerton played a huge part in that, as one of the stars and co-creators. A couple of years earlier, he was playing a very different role as a doctor in six Episodes of ER during its 10th Season. 

Keiko Agena

Gilmore Girls regular and co-star of Prodigal Son, Keiko Agena is one of the few actors who played two different characters on ER. She first appeared on the show very early in her career, in 1998, then later appeared in the final season in 2009. 

Jessica Chastain

With three Oscar nominations and one win, Jessica Chastain has proven she's among the best Hollywood has to offer. She proved her acting years ago though, in shows like ER. In only her second credited role, she appeared on ER in 2004 in an episode called "Forgive and Forget."

Aaron Paul

For most people, Aaron Paul is best known for his legendary role in Breaking Bad but years before that show would become a hit, he played a pretty similar character on ER in an episode called "A Saint in the City," way back in 2003. 

Octavia Spencer

In 1998 when Octavia Spencer appeared on ER, it was the latest in a string of supporting roles she landed early in her career. That string would continue for a little while longer before she emerged as one of the most beloved stars of the teens and '20s after her star-making role in The Help.

Mena Suvari

As it was for a lot of cast members, American Pie was huge for Mena Suvari. She had been working for a few years in Hollywood before that, picking up roles here and there in shows like Boy Meets World and movies like The Slums of Beverly Hills. Another early role came in a 1998 episode of ER where she played a high school cheerleader who didn't want to listen to her doctors. 

Kirsten Dunst

As a child actor, Kirsten Dunst's career started when she was just six years old. It would be a few years before she landed a brief reoccurring role as a troubled teen in six episodes of ER in the show's third season. 

Dakota Fanning

Quite a few child actors who went on to greater fame came through the doors of the emergency room at Cook County General Hospital, including a young Dakota Fanning. Fanning played a young girl named Delia who came in after a car accident and viewers find out she's a cancer survivor. 

James Cromwell

One of the ultimate "that guys" in Hollywood, James Cromwell has been acting for decades. His career really started in earnest in the mid-'70s and he's been playing supporting and starring roles ever since. On ER, he played a drug-seeking priest in four episodes in Season 7. 

Josh Peck

Josh Peck was a breakout Nickelodeon star as half of Drake & Josh. That wasn't his first role though. After a few small roles and a reoccurring spot in The Amanda Show (which led to Drake & Josh), he landed a small role in an episode of ER in 2002 as a kid with heart problems. 

Eva Mendes

Before Eva Mendes semi-retired to raise her family with Ryan Gosling, she was one of the biggest stars on the planet. You can trace her career all the way back to her very first role which came in 1998 on an episode of ER. It's wild to look back and watch her doing her first on-screen performances with George Clooney and not think about what lay ahead for both of them. 

Shia LaBeouf

Without a doubt, Shia LaBeouf has had one of the wildest careers of the 21st Century. There have been times when he was on top of the world, and others when he... definitely wasn't. One high point early in his career was of a kid in the emergency room of Cook County General in 2000, during Season 6. 

Milana Vayntrub

Milana Vayntrub eventually became one of the most recognizable actors in commercials as the AT&T pitchwoman. Long before that though, she was like a lot of child actors who got their start on ER. She appeared in three episodes, her first three credited roles, as a Russian girl, way back in Season 1. 

John Mahoney

Before scoring the role of a lifetime as Martin Crane on Fraiser, John Mahoney had been a steadily working actor going back to the '70s. After Frasier, he could pretty much write his own ticket. One role he chose to take was that of a self-professed "drag queen" whose long-time boyfriend was in rough shape in the hospital on ER in 2006, making a strong statement about gay marriage before many were brave enough to join him. 

Janel Moloney

One of the many great actresses who found early work in their career on ER was Janel Moloney. Moloney scored only a handful of roles between that and The West Wing, but boy was the West Wing lucky to have her - as was ER in its first season when she appeared in one episode. 

Amy Ryan

One of the most underrated characters in The Wire has to be Beadie Russell, played by Amy Ryan. About a decade before she joined The Wire in Season 2, she starred in a single episode of ER in the show's first season. She's been in many TV shows and movies since, including a beloved recurring role on The Office and in the underrated Netflix original Worth.

Rosemary Clooney

George Clooney isn't the only famous person in his family. His aunt is, of course, the inimitably Rosemary Clooney, who was one of the most beloved singers of her generation. She only had about a dozen acting credits on her impressive resume, but one was ER during the show's first season. What a great experience for her and her nephew. Her son, actor Miguel Ferrer, also appeared in an uncredited role in the series premiere of the show. 

Dan Hedaya

If you grew up in the '90s, Dan Hedaya was seemingly everywhere, but he's probably best remember by that generation as Cher Horowitz's angry but loving father in Clueless. On ER, he plays a lawyer with... questionable ethics, but a heart of gold. He appeared in four episodes over the length of the whole show. remembered

There was a time when music videos were as important as the radio in promoting the hottest artists and songs of the day. Back in the '80s and '90s, MTV was one of the most powerful cultural forces in the country, and that was reflected in how many stars you can spot in videos from the day. 

Sometimes, they were already huge stars, like Robin Williams and Chevy Chase, other times, they were actors looking to get their break and now, years later, we can marvel at their humble beginnings. This is a list of famous people in videos from the zenith of MTV highlights both.

Alicia Silverstone - "Cryin'"

Alicia Silverstone first got famous for starring in videos, specifically Aerosmith videos. The Clueless star appeared in three videos for the Boston rockers, the first for the song "Cryin'", then later showing up in the videos for "Amazing," alongside Dazed & Confused cast member Jason London. Silverstone's final appearance, and maybe the most famous video, was for the song "Crazy," alongside Steven Tyler's daughter, Liv Tyler. 

Courteney Cox - "Dancing In The Dark"

One of the most famous examples of a star getting her first break in a music video is, of course, Friends star Courteney Cox in the video for Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing In The Dark." The video, which came out in 1984, was directed by Brian De Palma and, according to Cox, she was one of several women Springsteen could have picked out of the audience, and it was random that he chose her. What kismit! 

Cindy Crawford - "Freedom '90"

Director David Fincher, who has had quite an amazing career in film, started in music videos. One of those videos, George Michaels' "Freedom '90," was challenging because Michaels told Fincher he wasn't going to appear in the video. Fincher decided to cast a bevy of famous supermodels to lip-sync the song, including Cindy Crawford in a bathtub. 

Eva Mendes - "Miami"

In 1998, a young actress from Miami was cast in a video for the Will Smith song, "Miami." Eva Mendes had starred in one direct-to-video movie at that point and was that actress. It would be another three years before her breakout role in Training Day. It's a brief moment in the video, as she drove her convertible next to Smith's on the causeway to Miami Beach.

In 1993, Janet Jackson was on top of the world. Her fifth album, janet. was another huge hit, selling millions of copies, partly on the strength of the single, "That's the Way Love Goes." Little did anyone know at the time that one of the extras in the video would go on to a career that eclipsed even Jackson's, a then-unknown Jennifer Lopez. 

Matt LeBlanc - "Miracle"

Bon Jovi's "Miracle" is, let's be frank, not the New Jersey legends' best work. One thing they did get right was the casting for the video. Matt LeBlanc was a young actor and model just starting out on a career, so while his job is really only to look good in this video, he certainly does. It would be a few more years before America was introduced to his comedic chops too. 

Hugh Laurie - "Walking On Broken Glass"

By the time Hugh Laurie appeared in the video for Annie Lennox's "Walking on Broken Glass" in 1992, he was already very famous in the UK. It would be a few more years until the legendary TV show House would debut in the US, making Laurie a household name on both sides of the pond. John Malkovich also stars in the video, reminding fans of his role in Dangerous Liaisons. 

Angelina Jolie - "Wondering"

Angelina Jolie was a model in Hollywood from her teen years on, so it's no wonder she would have a few videos of her resume, including The Rolling Stones' video for "Has Anybody Seen My Baby," but it is surprising to see her in a video for the Athens, GA-based jam band Widespread Panic's song "Wondering" from 1993. Jolie also appears on the cover of the band's album Everyday, which includes "Wondering."

Zooey Deschanel - "She's Got Issues"

Zooey Deschanel is as successful in music, with her duo She & Him as she is on the big screen, so of course she has an early credit in a music video. Deschanel appears with fiery red hair in the video for "She's Got Issues" by The Offspring. 

Naomi Campbell - "Is This Love"

Bob Marley died over four decades ago, but his legacy is as big as ever, with the release of the biopic One Love in 2024. Back in the day, the reggae superstar filmed a video in London for his song "Is This Love" featuring a couple of local kids, including a 7-year-old Naomi Campbell!  

Macaulay Culkin - "Black Or White"

Michael Jackson redefined what a music video could be with "Thriller" and after that, he often released short films that were much more than just a song, and often they had big stars in them. For "Black or White" in 1991, MJ brought in Macaulay Culkin and George Wendt to play father and son, for example. 

Christina Hendricks - "One Hit Wonder"

Long before Christina Hendricks hit the big time with her role in Mad Men, she was a model and struggling actor in the '90s. One of her earliest roles, way back in 1998, was in the video for "One Hit Wonder" by Everclear. Luckily for all of us, that wasn't her only hit. 

Matthew McConaughey - "Walkaway Joe"

Alright, alright, alright, we'll concede that Dazed and Confused is what made Matthew McConaughey famous, but before that, he appeared in Trisha Yearwood's video for her hit "Walkaway Joe," playing the titular character of the song. 

Wesley Snipes - "Bad"

For the second single, "Bad" from his album of the same name, Micheal Jackson teamed up with Martin Scorsese to make an 18-minute short film for the video. In the video, Jackson famously has a dance-off with his rivals in a New York subway station. One of the baddies is none other than Wesley Snipes, who only had a few credits under his belt previously. 

Patrick Swayze - "Rosanna"

Toto's song "Rosanna" is famously about Rosanna Arquette. Less well-known is that if you watch the video closely, you'll notice a familiar face as one of the West Side Story-like dancers. Patrick Swayze, one year before his big break in The Outsiders is one of the dancers. In an even cooler bit of trivia, another one of the uncredited dancers in the video is Cynthia Rhodes, who would co-star as Swayze's first dance partner, Penny, in Dirty Dancing. 

Elijah Wood - "Forever Your Girl"

Elijah Wood has been working in Hollywood forever. He started as a child actor in films like Back to the Future II and The Good Sun, but before those even, he had a part in Paula Abdul's video for "Forever Your Girl" in 1989. 

Chevy Chase - "You Can Call Me Al"

Chevy Chase was one of the biggest stars on the planet in 1986 when he starred in the video for "You Can Call Me Al" with his buddy Paul Simon. It is, no lie, one of Chase's best performances, and it's impossible not to crack up at his facial expressions and physical comedy in the video. 

Johnny Depp - "Into The Great Wide Open"

Johnny Depp has always wanted to be a rock star, so it was a great move by Tom Petty to get him to play the part of one in the video for "Into The Great Wide Open" in 1991. The video also stars the legendary Faye Dunaway and Gabrielle Anwar. 

Jennifer Connelly - "I Drove All Night"

The late, great Roy Orbison found almost as much fame after he died as he found in life. Two albums of all-new songs were released posthumously and one song, "I Drove All Night," released in 1992, featured Jennifer Connelly alongside Jason Priestly, in the video, along with Orbison in grainy images of an old TV appearance. 

Kirsten Dunst - "I Knew I Loved You"

Does anybody remember the band Savage Garden? The Aussie duo had a string of huge hits in the late '90s, including the song "I Knew I Loved You" which features Kirsten Dunst as a woman on a subway with whom the lead singer, Darren Hayes, is in love. 

Robin Williams - "Don't Worry, Be Happy"

Bobby McFerrin's 1988 song "Don't Worry, Be Happy" has to be one of the most surprising #1 hits of all time. The song was huge when it came out, and went on to win three Grammys. Someone must have had an inkling though, because superstar Robin Williams co-stars in the video with McFerrin. 

Kim Basinger - "Last Dance With Mary Jane"

Tom Petty made some legendary videos during his career, but the strangest has to be the one for "Last Dance With Mary Jane" which features Kim Basinger playing a corpse, dressed up as a bride. Great song, but a very weird video.

Keanu Reeves - "Rush, Rush"

1991 was a big year for Keanu Reeves. Not only did he star in Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey and Point Break, but he also appeared as a James Dean-like character in the video for "Rush, Rush" by Paula Abdul. 

Eddie Murphy - "Do You Remember The Time"

In case you've forgotten just how huge Michael Jackson was in the early '90s, remember there was a time he could premiere a video on MTV, BET, and Fox all at the same time. The video starred Jackson, of course, along with Eddie Murphy and Iman as ancient Egyptian royalty. Magic Johnson also appeared. 

Katie Holmes - "Tongue Tied"

Katie Holmes' career was just starting to take off in 1999 with her starring turn on Dawson's Creek. She also found some time to appear in the video for the song "Tongue Tied" by pop punk band Eve 6. It's not the last time Holmes has appeared in a video, either. A year later, in 2000, she starred with Micheal Douglas and others in a Bob Dylan video. 

Winona Ryder - "Debbie Gibson Is Pregnant with My Two-Headed Love Child"

By far the award for the strangest appearance on this list goes to Winona Ryder in the video for Mojo Nixon's song "Debbie Gibson Is Pregnant with My Two-Headed Love Child." Leave it to the late Nixon for coming up with the most ridiculous premise for a song, then landing a star like Ryder to star in the video in 1989, the same year she appeared in Heathers. 

RuPaul - "Love Shack"

If one were to guess which 1980s video to expect a RuPaul appearance, the smart money would be a B-52's video. That's exactly what happened in 1989 when RuPaul popped up very briefly in the video for "Love Shack" as a dancer and partygoer. He wasn't close to famous yet, but he was good friends with the band and he fits right into the campiness of the video. 

Benicio del Toro - "La Isla Bonita"

Benicio del Toro made his big screen debut in 1988 in Pee Wee's Big Top, but a year earlier, he was one of the extras in the video for Madonna's "La Isla Bonita." He is way in the background and can only be clearly seen in one shot, but when you watch the video, it's unmistakenly del Toro. 

Liv Tyler - "Crazy"

According to Liv Tyler, she didn't meet her biological father, Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler, until she was eight, and didn't know he was her father for another few years. Still, by the time she starred in the video for "Crazy," they had developed a healthy relationship, and the video, in which she co-stars with Alicia Silverstone, launched her career.

Captain Lou Albano - "Girls Just Want To Have Fun"

Cyndi Lauper was one of the biggest breakout stars of early MTV and for good reason. The low-budget video for her debut single, "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" featured a quirky cast that included her mother (playing her mother), her lawyer, and wrestling star "Captain" Lou Albano as her father. It's a video as fun as the song and it was played on repeat in those early MTV days. 

John Goodman - "Wild Wild Life"

The song "Wild Wild Life" by The Talking Heads was part of their soundtrack for the David Byrne-directed film True Stories. For the video, he recruited some of the people who appear in the film, including John Goodman, who lip-syncs along with the song in a karaoke bar. 

LeVar Burton - "Word Up"

LeVar Burton first found fame as Kunta Kinte in Roots, one of the most memorable performances by any actor, ever. About a decade later, between Roots and Star Trek: The Next Generation, Burton popped up in the video for "Word Up" by Cameo, playing a police officer trying to arrest the band. 

One video we left off this list because it's just too big a list on its own is the video for Ghostbusters which, in addition to the stars of the film also includes Chevy Chase, Danny Devito, Peter Falk, Al Franken, John Candy, and more. It's all too much to add to his list of some of the coolest appearances of stars in music videos! 

Despite a slew of devoted fans and a cast of talented actors, NBC made the decision to cut Good Girls short after its Season 4 finale, essentially ending the series on a cliffhanger and leaving the fate of the titular "girls" up in the air.

Good Girls still has a cult following, and rumor had it that Netflix might make moves to resurrect the dramedy and give it a proper final season, seeing how as recently as March, Good Girls made it to #2 on Netflix’s Top 10 list, causing many to wonder why the show was canceled in the first place. 

Unfortunately, no save came through for Good Girls, so Season 4 is the last place we're likely to see all of the actors together on screen. But! You can still see many of the Good Girls actors in the projects they’ve done since its untimely ending. Let’s take a look!

Christina Hendricks (Beth Boland)

Housewife-turned crime boss Beth Boland was portrayed by Mad Men actor Christina Hendricks. Those who haven’t seen Mad Men might also recognize Hendricks’ voice from her role as Gabby Gabby in Toy Story 4.

Hendricks will star in the upcoming film adaptation of the New York Times Bestseller, The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry, alongside Lucy Hale and The Big Bang Theory alum, Kunal Nayyar.

Currently, Hendricks voices the role of Cherie on the Hulu animated comedy Solar Opposites alongside Rick and Morty’s Justin Roiland. Hendricks previously voiced the hive-mind being Unity on an episode of Rick and Morty in 2015. Both shows stream on Hulu.

Retta (Ruby Hill)

Prior to Good Girls, most knew Retta from her days as Donna on the NBC show Parks and Recreation. Recently, she’s been using her talents as the host of the HGTV show Ugliest House in America. She also dabbles in voice acting, appearing in shows like Where’s Waldo? and DuckTales.

In 2022, Retta signed a talent holding deal with NBC under which she will collaborate exclusively with NBCUniversal and Universal Television, including platforms like Bravo, Syfy, and NBC’s streaming service, Peacock.

Mae Whitman (Annie Marks)

Actress and singer Mae Whitman has been super busy expanding her voice acting career since the end of Good Girls, lending her voice to shows like Adult Swim’s Robot Chicken, the bingeable Amazon Prime original animated series Invincible, and Young Justice. She can also be heard in the Disney Channel series, The Owl House.

Whitman will star in Hulu’s upcoming musical rom-com series Up Here, a project that includes writer Steven Levenson (known for Tick, Tick…Boom! and Dear Evan Hansen) and Hamilton director Thomas Kail.

Manny Montana (Rio)

Though best known for his role as gang leader Christopher, a.k.a. Rio, in Good Girls, Manny Montana has joined the cast of Mayans MC, the FX crime-drama series that takes place in the same universe as Sons of Anarchy. Montana joined for the fourth season of the show, which premiered in April of 2022.

Reno Wilson (Stanley Hill)

Ruby’s devoted husband, Stanley, was played by Reno Wilson, an actor most famous for his role as Carl on the CBS show Mike & Molly. After the conclusion of Good Girls, Wilson appeared in the film Bolden, portraying jazz musician Louis Armstrong.

His most recent projects include Born A Champion, the true story of the first American black belt in jiu-jitsu. He's also set to appear in the 2022 movie, HeadShop, alongside actors like Nicole Ari Parker and Michael Jai White.

Matthew Lillard (Dean Boland)

Most recognize Matthew Lillard as the face of Shaggy in the live action Scooby-Doo movies, a far cry from the role of adulterous husband Dean Boland in Good Girls. But many don’t know that he actually still voices Shaggy in a number of projects, including the 2021 TV special, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You Now!, and the MultiVersus video game. He also makes cameos on Robot Chicken as Shaggy.

Recent film credits for Lillard include Scream (2022) and a role on the Showtime drama, Billions.

Lidya Jewett (Sara Hill)

One of the talented children in Good Girls was Lidya Jewett, an actor who has previously appeared in shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Disney Channel’s Bunk’d.

Prior to her time on Good Girls, Jewett was a cast-member of two Oscar-winning films, Black Panther and Hidden Figures, so the young actress has had plenty of experience working with seasoned pros.

Most recently, Jewett starred in Nightbooks, a Netflix film that aired in September of 2021. She will also appear in the 2022 movie, Ivy & Bean, based on the popular children’s books by Annie Barrows.

Isaiah Stannard (Ben Marks)

Good Girls actor Isaiah Stannard impacted the plot of the show in a big way. While the role of “Sadie” (later called Ben) was originally intended for a cis-male, Good Girls creator Jenna Bans changed the character with the help of GLAAD to create a transgender character. Stannard continues to be open about his experience as a transgender teen.

In 2021, Stannard played the role of Evan on the HBOMax show Genera+ion, which was sadly cancelled after one season.

Fans of Stannard can catch him again in the short film 5 Teenagers Walk Into a Bar.

David Hornsby (Boomer)

David Hornsby has appeared in many shows, including his ongoing portrayal of Rickety Cricket in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and small roles in shows like The Goldbergs and New Girl. However, the actor has focused mainly on writing since the conclusion of Good Girls. He continues to write for IASIP, a role he’s held since 2006, spanning all fifteen seasons of the sitcom. The show was renewed by FXX for four more seasons in 2020, so it’s likely Hornsby will be busy writing for a while.

Hornsby currently pulls double-duty writing and acting on Mythic Quest, one of the best Apple TV+ original shows currently streaming on the platform, working alongside fellow IASIP actor/creator, Rob McElhenney.

Zach Gilford (Gregg)

Fans wanting to see Zach Gilford in a show that isn't horror-related might be out of luck. Gilford has become a staple of the horror genre in recent years, giving a heartbreaking performance in Mike Flanagan’s Netflix miniseries Midnight Mass. In fact, Good Girls is the most light-hearted project Gilford has been a part of since his appearances on the Comedy Central show, Drunk History, in the mid to late 2010s. 

Gilford will join Mike Flanagan again on the new horror/thriller, The Midnight Club, as well as the Edgar Allan Poe adaptation, The Fall of the House of Usher, a miniseries that will stream on Netflix. Both are set to premiere in 2022.

Gilford will also appear in the upcoming 2022 film, There’s Something Wrong With The Children (and yes, if you couldn't tell by the name, it's a scary movie).

Lauren Lapkus (Phoebe Donnegan)

Many recognize Lapkus from her quirky side character roles, but her most popular leading role was in David Spade’s 2020 Netflix comedy, The Wrong Missy.

Exciting upcoming projects for Lapkus include the CBS multi-camera sitcom Sober Companion, as well as the horror/comedy Boo!. Lapkus currently serves as the co-host of the Newcomers podcast with Nicole Byer, as well as the Threedom podcast alongside Scott Aukerman and Paul F. Tompkins.

Danny Boyd (Harry Hill)

Danny Boyd was recently featured in The Underground Railroad, available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. He was also in the Halle Berry movie Bruised (2020).

Boyd also portrays Ray Jr. in the Emmy award-winning series #freerayshawn, which airs on the Roku Channel.

Allison Tolman (Mary Pat)

Allison Tolman, most recognizable for her role in the FX series Fargo, currently stars in Season 2 of the Paramount+ original show, Why Women Kill, an anthology series depicting the struggles of several women from different generations and the infidelity (and other issues) of their husbands. (Feels kind of reminiscent of Good Girls, actually!)

Tolman also has appeared in Norman Lear and Jimmy Kimmel’s Live in Front of a Studio Audience series. She portrayed Natalie Green in the live performance of The Facts of Life in December of 2021.

Tolman will be featured in the upcoming Watergate drama, Gaslit, starring alongside Julia Roberts and Sean Penn.

James Lesure (Jimmy Turner)

Around the time of Good Girls’ cancellation, James Lesure was working on the HBO Max series, Divorce, opposite Sarah Jessica Parker.

Lesure briefly found his way back to network television with Rebel, an ABC legal drama that starred Katey Segal, but it was cancelled after one season, in the summer of 2021. 

Lesure also appears as Julius Erving in the HBO Max series Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty.

Ignacio Serrichio (Nick)

Most famous for his ongoing role in the Telemundo International series, El Recluso, actor Ignacio Serrichio has been seen recently in shows like Netflix’s Lost in Space, as well as heard in recurring voice work for shows like Family Guy and Robot Chicken.

Serrichio will be joining the cast of Firefly Lane for its second season, joining current cast members Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke. Netflix announced the show’s renewal via Zoom in May of 2021, but there’s no word just yet on when Season 2 will premiere.

Breckin Meyer (Vance)

Former teen heartthrob Breckin Meyer was seen most recently in a supporting role in Happily, a “killer” romantic comedy film. Fans of Meyer can also see him in his 2021 film, The Enormity of Life, where he plays a man who receives a large inheritance from a distant relative after his failed suicide attempt.

Meyer joins a number of his Good Girls cast mates with voice roles on Robot Chicken, and is set to voice-act again in the long-awaited Star Wars: Detours animated comedy series.

Seasons 1-4 of Good Girls are available to stream on Netflix. While you’re binging, cross your fingers and hope the Netflix powers that be change direction and do come through with an Arrested Development-style redemption arc for Retta, Christina Hendricks, Mae Whitman, and the entire Good Girls cast. I mean, we can dream, right?

It has been 10 years since Nicolas Winding Refn’s atmospheric thriller Drive came onto the scene and inspired countless men to buy satin jackets with a scorpion on the back, wear driving gloves, and listen to moody synth-pop while cruising the streets at night. The movie, which felt like both a love letter to the work of directors like Michael Mann and a sign of what was to come, had a lot going for it: a gripping story about a Hollywood stuntman who spends his nights as a getaway driver, an undeniable vibe, and one remarkable cast that included Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, and Bryan Cranston, to name only a few.

If you were wondering what the outstanding and stacked Drive cast has been up to since 2011, you’ve come to the right place. Below we will break down each of the stars and most of the places they’ve been since roaming the streets of Los Angeles.

Ryan Gosling (The Driver)

It is true that Drive is one of the best Ryan Gosling movies, but it is also true that the multi-talented entertainer’s career has only gotten bigger and brighter since he took on the role of the mysterious loner known simply as The Driver. In the time since appearing in Drive, Gosling has been nominated for three Golden Globe Awards, winning one for his outstanding role in La La Land, a performance that also earned him an Academy Award nomination. 

Outside of his appearance in Damien Chazelle’s love letter to Los Angeles, Ryan Gosling has portrayed memorable characters in dramas like The Ides of March, The Place Beyond the Pines, and First Man (also directed by Chazelle), as well as a little sci-fi movie called Blade Runner 2049. And, at some point in the near future, Gosling will share the screen with Chris Evans in the Russo Brothers’ upcoming spy thriller The Gray Man.

Carey Mulligan (Irene Gabriel)

Already a rising star in young Hollywood by the time she joined the Drive cast, Carey Mulligan’s portrayal of Irene Gabriel helped take the actress to new heights in late 2011. Immediately following her moving performance alongside Ryan Gosling, Mulligan appeared in Steve McQueen’s psychological thriller Shame, in which she played Sissy Sullivan, the tormented and suicidal sister of Michael Fassbender’s Brandon Sullivan. 

The next few years saw Carey Mulligan bounce between big-budget cinematic spectacles like The Great Gatsby and character-driven dramas like Inside Llewyn Davis (which also featured her on-screen husband from Drive, Oscar Isaac). Mulligan’s career reached new heights with her portrayal of the vengeful Cassandra “Cassie Thomas in the Academy Award-winning dark comedy Promising Young Woman. She will soon appear in Maria Schrader’s upcoming adaptation of She Said, which centers on the New York Times journalists who first broke the Harvey Weinstein story.

Bryan Cranston (Shannon)

Bryan Cranston was in the middle of his brilliant turn as Walter White on Breaking Bad when he joined the Drive cast as Shannon, The Driver’s handler and closest thing to a friend. You would think that after the AMC drama series came to an end in 2013 (after the show’s star took home multiple Primetime Emmy Awards and Golden Globes), Cranston would take some well-deserved time off, but that has been far from the case. 

In the past decade, Bryan Cranston has appeared in countless movies ranging from Contagion to Trumbo, shows like Sneaky Pete and Your Honor, and even several stage productions like All The Way, which saw him portray former U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson and Network.

Albert Brooks (Bernie Rose)

Albert Brooks’ portrayal of crime boss Bernie Rose is honestly one of the most terrifying aspects of Drive and is one of his best performances of the 21st Century ,if not his entire career. In the years following the release of the 2011 crime thriller, Brooks, who is perhaps best known either for playing Aaron Altman in Broadcast News (which earned him an Academy Award nomination) or Marlin in Pixar’s Finding Nemo, has shown up a handful of times in movies like This Is 40, A Most Violent Year, and Concussion.

This is on top of all the voice-acting roles Albert Brooks has taken on in the past decade, which includes a reprisal of his Finding Nemo character in 2016’s Finding Dory, The Secret Life of Pets, and The Little Prince.

Oscar Isaac (Standard Gabriel)

Oscar Isaac was already a relatively well-known name by the time he signed on to play Standard Gabriel in Drive, but his portrayal of the recently-released convict in serious money trouble helped usher in a new era for the talented actor. A couple of years after the release of the 2011 drama, Isaac shared the screen with Carey Mulligan once again the Coen Brothers’ musical dark comedy Inside Llewyn Davis, which earned him a Golden Globe nomination and a handful of other awards. After that it was one hit after another until he landed the role of Poe Dameron in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which only took his career to new heights.

In 2022, Oscar Isaac will join the list of actors who have appeared in both Star Wars and the Marvel Cinematic Universe when he takes on the role of Marc Spector in the upcoming Disney+ series Moon Knight.

Christina Hendricks (Blanche)

When Christina Hendricks joined the Drive cast in 2011, she was in the middle of her run as Joan Holloway on Mad Men, a role that earned her five consecutive Primetime Emmy nominations from 2010 to 2015. In the years following her portrayal of Chris Cook’s (James Biberi) ill-fated accomplice, Blanche, in Drive’s pawn store robbery gone wrong, Hendricks has shown up in movies like Bad Santa 2, The Neon Demon, American Woman, and Toy Story 4 (she was the voice of Gabby Gabby).

Over on the television side of things, Christina Hendricks has taken on major roles on shows like Hap and Leonard, Tin Star, and Good Girls. She currently voices the character Cherie on the adult animation comedy series Solar Opposites.

Ron Perlman (Nino 'Izzy' Paolozzi)

Ron Perlman, who portrayed Nino “Izzy” Paolozzi in Drive, has appeared in countless movies and TV shows since his character learned the hard way that trying to pull a fast one on The Driver wasn’t the best of ideas. In the past decade, Perlman has wrapped up his portrayal of Clay Morrow on Sons of Anarchy, starred on shows like Hand of God, StartUp, and The Capture, as well as smaller roles on The Blacklist, Maron, and the 2020 Reno 911! revival. And, that doesn’t even touch his voice-over work that includes American Dad, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Tangled: The Series, and Transformers: Power of the Primes.

The film work completed by Ron Perlman since Drive is just as impressive. In the past decade, Perlman has appeared in several dozens of movies like Pacific Rim, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Stonewall, and Monster Hunter. Perlman is set to voice Mangiafuoco in Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming adaptation of Pinocchio.

Kaden Leos (Benicio Gabriel)

Kaden Leos played Standard and Irene Gabriel’s young son, Benicio, in Drive. It appears that playing the young boy who forms a unique bond with The Driver in Nicolas Winding Refn’s 2011 crime thriller was Leos’ first and only time in front of a camera.

James Biberi (Chris Cook)

James Biberi’s character, Chris Cook, doesn’t get the best way to go out in Drive, but it’s hard to feel bad for the guy after everything he did in the moments leading up to his demise. In the years since being on the receiving end of a fork to the eye, Biberi has appeared in movies like Dead Man Down, The Girl on the Train, and Ocean’s 8.

The veteran actor, who happens to have completed the “Dick Wolf Hat Trick” with appearances on Law and Order, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit (he’s appeared on all three shows multiple times), has shown up on The Blacklist and Daredevil in the years following the release of Drive.

Jeff Wolfe (Assassin In Elevator)

Jeff Wolfe only appears in one scene in Drive, but short amount of time on screen as the would-be assassin who gets his head kicked in by The Driver in the elevator is just too good to not include here. Over the years, the stuntman/actor has appeared in everything from The Avengers to Bosch, and Mayans M.C. to Gangster Squad, and several movie and TV projects. Wolfe has also served as a stunt coordinator on shows like MacGyver, Rush Hour, and Stalker, with additional work on Furious 7, Game Night, and Scandal.

Russ Tamblyn (Doc)

And then there is Russ Tamblyn, whose appearance in Drive is so short, you’ll miss if you’re not careful. In the years since playing Doc (he’s the doctor who stitches up The Driver near the end of the movie), Russ Tamblyn, who received an Academy Award nomination for his portrayal of Riff in West Side Story, has shown up in movies like Django Unchained and Hits. Tamblyn’s television work includes appearances on The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, The Haunting of Hill House, and the 2017 revival of Twin Peaks, which saw the veteran actor reprise the role of Dr. Lawrence Jacoby from the original 1990 series.

Man, it is tough being a TV fan, right? Sometimes the perfect show comes along, which fits your sensibilities just right and manages to debut at just the right time in your life, and it actually becomes appointment viewing for you, even with the dozens upon dozens of choices we have when it comes to televised entertainment now. But, because of all of those options, even our favorites can have a hard time finding an audience, and we all, eventually, have to deal with a show we love to watch getting the boot. While fans of NBC's Good Girls were truly upset to hear that the show had been cancelled after four seasons, we might now know why it got the axe, and two of the shows stars are involved.

Now, before you jump to any wild conclusions, a report from TV Line notes that all of the women at the center of Good Girls, Retta, Christina Hendricks, and Mae Whitman, had agreed to take pay cuts so that the crime dramedy could continue for a shortened Season 5. Obviously, that planned eight-episode season would have given fans a true ending for the story of three cash-strapped suburban moms who turn to a life of crime, and then end up with way more trouble than they intended. Apparently, the renewal looked like a done deal, with production set for spring 2022, but the show was cancelled a month later.

Multiple sources to the outlet, who have ties to Good Girls, its production company Universal Television, and NBC, are saying that money wasn't the issue behind the cancellation, but possible behind the scenes issues between lead Christina Hendricks and co-star Manny Montana, who plays Rio, the crime boss constantly holding the women's lives in his hands, might be. It's being said that contract negotiations with Montana hit a big snag in the middle of June, with both money and scheduling being a problem for the actor.

However, there's speculation that Montana's somewhat strained working relationship with Hendricks may have led him to disagree with the terms of the deal he was being offered, with the thought being that he was unwilling to deal with those on-set tensions and a cut in pay. While no one connected with Hendricks, Montana, Good Girls, its production company, or NBC has responded to those claims, it's been seen as an open secret that Hendricks and Montana weren't very fond of each other, based on comments made during interviews by each of them.

If you spent any time at all watching Good Girls, though, you will know that none of that potential animosity came across on camera, at least not when it shouldn't. The sexual tension-filled relationship between Hendricks' Beth and Montana's Rio is one of the things that fans really (really) love about the show, with many lamenting on Twitter, weekly, when the pair wasn't in scenes together and bemoaning the existence of Beth's husband, Dean (Matthew Lillard), because he was yet another obstacle for her and Rio.

Their constant battles and flirtatious nature definitely helped to fuel the show, but many see the idea that Good Girls was cancelled because a supporting male character wouldn't sign on as "ironic. And suspicious." The series was never a big ratings winner for NBC (though it does very well on Netflix, which came close to picking it up), so some believe that the studio was looking for any excuse to cancel the show.

Good Girls isn't quite done yet, as the two-hour series finale will air on Thursday, July 22, at 9 p.m. EST.

The always-on-the-bubble Good Girls is still rolling along in Season 4, but fans, along with the cast and crew, were dealt a serious blow late last week when word came down that the crime dramedy had been cancelled by NBC. Even though the audience for the series, which focuses on three mothers who tire of struggling to make ends meet and begin living double lives filled with lies and a number of criminal enterprises, had never gotten much attention or many viewers, a dedicated group of fans followed the show religiously. Now, stars like Christina Hendricks and Mae Whitman have reacted to the cancellation news.

Good Girls debuted at midseason in 2018, and many of those who tuned in to see Ruby (Retta), Beth (Christina Hendricks), and Annie (Mae Whitman) as stressed moms desperate for cash who begin a (frequently) comical journey into a life of crime were immediately taken with the wild show. One of the things fans have always loved about Good Girls is how Beth, Annie, and Ruby stand up for each other and stick together no matter the dire circumstances they find themselves in, and when word came down about the cancellation, a similar theme was present in Hendricks' response, which she posted to Instagram:

Awww...Beth is trying to protect her little sis, Annie, until the very, bitter end, you guys! As you can see, Christina Hendricks used the news of Good Girls cancellation as a chance to use a meme, which features Beth covering Annie's eyes, as way to show that she knew just how upset Mae Whitman was going to be at the ultimate fate of their show. Whitman has been especially vocal during Season 4 when it comes to trying to get Good Girls renewed, even urging fans on Twitter to sign the petition which was started just for that purpose.

Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be, and Whitman responded to the news with her own version of the same meme, with hers including a link to the news of Good Girls' cancellation above the same photo, and implying that she simply didn't want to look at it.

One of the things which had given Mae Whitman, fans, and probably much of the cast and crew of Good Girls hope was how well the show has done, particularly recently, on Netflix. The first three seasons of the series are streaming on the giant, and have managed to catch a lot of eyeballs. Season 3, in fact, hit the streamer just a few weeks before the debut of the current season, and the Nielsen rankings for the week of February 15-21 showed that Good Girls was Netflix's top streamed show with almost 1.08 billion minutes being viewed.

Good Girls typically did way better when delayed viewing numbers were added in, with Season 3 being able to more than double the viewership that way. And, it was hoped that Netflix would be able to save the show, as it had previously with series like Longmire and Lucifer, but the deal "imploded," leaving everyone without Season 5.

So far, Retta hasn't spoken out on social media about the cancellation, but Matthew Lillard, who plays Beth's nearly impossible to like husband, Dean, to perfection, summed up all of our feelings pretty well when posting a link to the news on his Twitter feed:

Even when every other network turned down the chance to pick up this soon-to-be hit drama, Matthew Weiner's period piece series found a home at the cable station, and it resulted in one of the most beloved and critically acclaimed series in recent history. With a talented ensemble of great actors, Mad Men's cast received heaps of praise and a number of awards to boot. Following the show's end in 2015, what have they been working on now? Jon Hamm (Don Draper)

As Don Draper, the creative director of Sterling Cooper, Jon Hamm became a star through his leading man role in Mad Men. Previously a TV actor with credits on Providence, Ally McBeal, Gilmore Girls, Charmed, and The Division, as well as film roles in Space Cowboys, Kissing Jessica Stein, and We Were Soldiers, Hamm's breakthrough role paved the way for appearances in A Single Man, The Day the Earth Stood Still, The Town, Million Dollar Arm, and Bridesmaids. 

Following his Emmy-winning performance in Mad Men, Hamm starred in Keeping Up with the Joneses, Marjorie Prime, Baby Driver, Beirut, Tag, Bad Times at the El Royale, and The Report. He was last seen in Richard Jewell and The Jesus Rolls. In television, Hamm starred in A Young Doctor's Notebook, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and Good Omens. He'll next be seen in Top Gun: Maverick and Wild Mountain Thyme.

Elisabeth Moss (Peggy Olson)

Playing Peggy Olson, who was once Don's secretary before moving up the corporate ladder, Elisabeth Moss played a pivotal role in Mad Men. Prior to her role in Mad Men, Moss was best known for her work on The West Wing, Anywhere But Here, The Missing, and Girl, Interrupted. During her time on Mad Men, Moss was also seen in Get Him to the Greek, On the Road, Listen Up Philip, The One I Love, and Top of the Lake. 

Following this career-defining role, Moss has continued to find success and acclaim through her Emmy-winning performance in Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale. She also starred in The Square, The Old Man & The Gun, Her Smell, The Kitchen, High-Rise, Truth, Queen of Earth, and most recently, The Invisible Man and Shirley earlier this year. Next, Moss will be seen in The French Dispatch and Next Goal Wins.

Vincent Kartheiser (Pete Campbell)

In the role of Pete Campbell, the eventual junior partner at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce, Vincent Kartheiser played a primary character throughout the entirety of Mad Men's run. A stage actor who became a film and TV performer, Kartheiser was previously seen in the TV series Angel and films like Alpha Dog, Alaska, and Dandelion. As the actor starred in this hit series, he was also seen/heard in In Time, Rango, Elektra Luxx, and Days Out of Days. 

Following Kartheiser's time in Mad Men, Kartheiser starred in My Friend Dahmer, The Most Hated Woman in America, A Kind Of Murder, Most Likely To Murder, Das Boot, and Crypto. Kartheiser also had a starring role in last year's Proven Innocent and in episodes of The OA. He was most recently seen in Netflix's The Social Dilemma.

January Jones (Betty Draper)

As Betty Draper, the wife (then ex-wife) of Don Draper, January Jones provided an Emmy-nominated performance in Mad Men. Previously a model, Jones starred in Anger Management, Love Actually, Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, and We Are Marshall. 

Through the success of the show, Jones found roles in Unknown, X-Men: First Class, Seeking Justice, Pirate Radio, Sweetwater, and Good Kill. She also narrated 2015's documentary Unity. When Mad Men wrapped, the actress became a main cast member on Fox's The Last Man on Earth before it ended in 2018. She appeared in The Politician and voiced a character in Animals before she starred in Netflix's short-lived series Spinning Out earlier this year.

Christina Hendricks (Joan Holloway)

In the role of Joan Holloway, the office manager of Sterling Cooper, Christina Hendricks provided a lively presence throughout Mad Men's revered run. Formerly a model, Hendricks entered the acting business in the late '90s, where she starred in Showtime's Beggars and Choosers and in ER, The Court, Firefly, Kevin Hill, and more before she landed her Mad Men role. During this time, Hendricks also starred in Life As We Know It, Drive, The Family Tree, I Don't Know How She Does It, Ginger & Rosa, Detachment, Struck By Lightning, God's Pocket, and Lost River. 

Following her Mad Men commitments, Hendricks starred in Zoolander 2, The Neon Demon, Bad Santa 2, Fist Fight, and Pottersville, as well as shows like Another Period, Tin Star, The Romanoffs, and Hap and Leonard. Hendricks is now on NBC's Good Girls.

Kiernan Shipka (Sally Draper)

Playing the part of Sally Draper, the eldest child of Don and Betty, Kiernan Shipka found her fame through this acclaimed drama series. As a child actress, Shipka previously appeared in Monk, Heroes, MadTV, and Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and she was later seen in Land of the Lost, Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, and Very Good Girls when the series came to a close. She also lent her voice to The Legend of Korra. 

Most notably, Shipka starred in the title role of Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which was canceled earlier this year. The actress also starred in The Blackcoat's Daughter, Let It Snow, and Feud: Bette and Joan. Next, Shipka will star in Quibi's Swimming with Sharks.

John Slattery (Roger Sterling)

As Roger Sterling, a senior partner and accounts executive at Sterling Cooper Advertising Agency, John Slattery was a prominent player in Mad Men, notably after the first season. Prior to Mad Men, Slattery starred in movies like Eraser, Traffic, Bad Company, The Station Agent, Mona Lisa Smile, Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, and Flag of Our Fathers, and in TV shows like Homefront, Party Of Five, Under Cover, Jack & Bobby, Desperate Housewives, and Maggie. 

Marvel fans will surely recognize him in the recurring role as Howard Stark, Tony's late father. His first appearance was in Iron Man 2, and he returned to the role in additional MCU movies afterward, including Avengers: Endgame. 

During his Mad Men time, Slattery also starred in Reservation Road, Charlie Wilson's War, Iron Man 2, The Adjustment Bureau, and Ted 2. And he directed 2014's God's Pocket. Shortly after Mad Men ended, Slattery appeared in 2015's Best Picture winner, Spotlight. Next, Slattery stars in Fox's upcoming Next.

Robert Morse (Bert Cooper)

In the role of Bert Cooper, the senior partner of Sterling Cooper, Robert Morse played an increasingly prominent role in the later seasons of Mad Men. A prestigious actor of the stage and screen with two Tonys, an Emmy, and a Grammy to his name, Morse was most notably seen in both the Broadway production and the film adaptation of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. 

During his time on Mad Men, for which he received several Emmy nominations, Morse also starred in The Man Who Shook The Hand of Vincente Fernandez. He did voice work for Sofia the First, The Legend of Korra, and Teen Titans Go! Following his role in this acclaimed AMC series, Morse has been seen in American Crime Story: The People vs. OJ Simpson and Corporate. He returned to Broadway for a 2016 production of The Front Page.

Aaron Staton (Ken Cosgrove)

Playing Ken Cosgrove, an account executive at Sterling Cooper, Aaron Staton was seen throughout the entirety of Mad Men's run. During his time in the show, Staton was also notably the actor behind Cole Phelps in the video game L.A. Noire, for which he received a BAFTA nomination. Following Mad Men's run, he appeared in Castle Rock, Person of Interest, Ray Donovan, God Friended Me, Narcos: Mexico, Girlfriends Guide to Divorce, The Good Wife, and Unbelievable. He also starred in films like Alex & The List, and Preservation. Next, Staton will be seen in Disney+ forthcoming mini-series, The Right Stuff.

Rich Sommer (Harry Crane)

As Harry Crane, a media buyer for Sterling Cooper, Rich Sommer was a constant presence throughout Mad Men's entire run. Prior to this hit series, Sommer was notably seen in The Devil Wears Prada. During his Mad Men time, Sommer also appeared in Celeste and Jesse Forever, The Giant Mechanical Man, The Office, Elementary, and The League. 

Following Mad Men, Sommer starred in LBJ, Hello My Name Is Doris, Girlfriend's Day, Summer of '84, and A Futile and Stupid Gesture. He also lent his voice to Regular Show and appeared in Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, Love, GLOW, Masters of Sex, and Elena of Avalor. Recently, Sommer starred in HBO's Run. He's now a main role in The CW's In the Dark.

Mason Vale Cotton (Bobby Draper)

In the role of Bobby Draper, the middle child of Don and Betty Draper, Mason Vale Cotton played a primary role in the fifth, sixth, and seventh seasons of Mad Men. He was previously on Desperate Housewives. Once his role in Mad Men came to a close, Cotton starred in Scales: A Mermaids Tale, Mad Families, and voiced the title character in Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie. He was last seen in 2017's short film, Super.

Bryan Batt (Salvatore Romano)

As Salvatore Romano, the art director at Sterling Cooper, Bryan Batt was a main cast member during the first three seasons of Mad Men. Primarily known as a theater actor, Batt performed in Broadway productions of Cats, Starlight Express, Sunset Boulevard, Saturday Night Fever, Seussical, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat prior to his time in this hit drama series. 

Following his role in Mad Men, Batt played a recurring role in MTV's Scream and made appearances in NCIS, NCIS: New Orleans, and EastSiders. He also starred in films like 12 Years a Slave, Parkland, LBJ, Tales From The Hood 2, and Billionaire Boys Club. Most recently, Batt produced and starred in Easy Does It. He'll next be seen in Don't Look Back, American Reject, and Night Teeth.

Michael Gladis (Paul Kinsey)

Playing Paul Kinsey, a copywriter at Sterling Cooper, Michael Gladis was part of Mad Men's main cast throughout its first three seasons. Following his role in the hit series, which also included a guest star appearance in Season 5, the actor provided turns in Devil's Knot, Knights of Badassdom, Not Safe For Work, Terminator Genisys, and Armed Response. 

On television, he starred in Eagleheart, Reckless, Extant, and Feed the Beast, and he appears in episodes of The Good Wife, Medium, Leverage, The Mentalist, Justified, House of Lies, Elementary, Lucifier, and Criminal Minds. Earlier this year, Gladis became a main cast member on Showtime's Penny Dreadful: City of Angels. He'll also soon be seen in The Mental State.

Jared Harris (Lane Pryce)

In the role of Lane Pryce, the former financial officer at Sterling Cooper, Jared Harris gave an Emmy-nominated standout performance in the middle seasons of Mad Men. As a well-trained English actor, Harris starred in I Shot Andy Warhol, Natural Born Killers, The Last of the Mohicans, Far and Away, Dead Man, Happiness, Lost in Space, Mr. Deeds, Ocean's Twelve, Lady in the Water, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, among others, prior to his work in this series. 

He also played a reoccurring role in Fringe. During his time on Mad Men, Harris was also seen in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. In the following years, Harris starred in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Allied, Certain Women, and Poltergeist (2015). He was also in Cherynbol, The Crown, and Carnival Row. Next, he'll star in Morbius and AppleTV's Foundation.

Many remember the first time they laid eyes on Christina Hendricks as the 2007 the debut of Mad Men, on which she starred as Joan Holloway (later Harris). However, if you ask any fan of Firefly the same question and Joss Whedon’s cult sci-fi western might be their answer.

Excluding a select few, including the aforementioned fans of Firefly, most people seem to have forgotten about the decade-long career that Christina Hendricks led prior to landing her six-time Emmy-nominated role on AMC’s acclaimed period drama exploring the inside world of 1960s-era advertising. As Joan Holloway Harris is often considered the Good Girls star’s breakout role, it is easily forgivable as it also bears an opportunity for a deeper dive into the earlier moments of her career.

The following are seven notable TV appearances of the stunning, talented redhead before she broke out on Mad Men. Let us start by taking a trip back to a time when music videos were still played on television.

Bar Maid - Angel

In 2000, Christina Hendricks made her debut in a creation by super-producer Joss Whedon, in this case Angel, starring future Bones star David Boreanaz as the vampiric title character. In a 2000 episode from the first season of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer spin-off titled "The Prodigal," we get a glimpse of Angel's past as a reckless, drunken mortal in the 18th Century. In one flashback, we also catch a glimpse of Hendricks as an unnamed bar maid with an Irish accent who gives a very intrigued Darla a poetic explanation as to why his "charm" is not worth falling for.

Joyce Westlake - ER

Christina Hendricks' character from the eighth season of ER probably could have used some similar advice. The actress appeared in four episodes of the hit NBC medical drama as Joyce Westlake, a young, friendly, recently moved-in neighbor of Dr. Abby Lockhart, played by series regular Maura Tierney, who discovers that her new friend is a victim of violent domestic abuse at the hands of her husband, Brian (future Gossip Girl star Matthew Settle). When Joyce refuses to report him, Abby goes to dangerous lengths to help her escape any further attacks.

Saffron - Firefly

In her second collaboration with Joss Whedon, the producer decided to give Christina Hendricks a character with screen time that lasts longer than 30 seconds and a name... well, more than one name, in fact. While primarily referred to as "Saffron," Hendricks' recurring role on the cult sci-fi western TV series Firefly assumes multiple identities (including known aliases "Bridget" and "Yolanda Haymer") to con unsuspecting men out of their own riches by seducing and feigning matrimony with them. However, Saffron managed to fool Serenity captain Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds, played by Nathan Fillion, after drunkenly participating in a real marriage ceremony with him and taking advantage of the "relationship" to infiltrate the spacecraft and cause trouble.

Esther Davis - Cold Case

Before Christina Hendricks played a bombshell in the 1960s, she played a bombshell in the 1940s. In "Colors," from the fourth season of the CBS retrospective crime procedural Cold Case, Lilly Rush (Kathryn Morris) takes the case of Clyde Taylor (Arlen Escarpeta), a black baseball player beaten to death with his own bat in August of 1945. The investigation leads to the discovery of Clyde's forbidden romance with a white woman named Esther Davis (also given the nickname "Legs") played in modern day by Elinor Donahue and in flashbacks by Hendricks.

Connie - Las Vegas

Vegas sounds like just the place that Don Draper would have a field day at, but it was a different Mad Men regular who got to pay Sin City a visit on the hit NBC drama named after the beloved city. In "Chaos Theory," a Season 3 episode of Las Vegas, Christina Hendricks plays Connie, who finds herself to be a subject of interrogation at the Montecito Resort and Casino by Danny McCoy (Josh Duhamel) and Mike Cannon (James Lesure), who believe she is linked to a gambler making the suspicious request to play a game of Blackjack at $1 million dollars per hand.

Loopy - Everclear: One Hit Wonder

Going back to the earlier days of her on-screen career, this 1998 music video for the song “One Hit Wonder” by Everclear, which is directed by music video veteran and future blockbuster helmer McG, Christina Hendricks plays Loopy. The young woman is a hopeful contestant on a The Price is Right-esque competition program hosted by game show veteran Wink Martindale, the object of which is ambiguous, to say the least. When Loopy is selected to move onto the next round of the game by correctly guessing the winning lyrics to the titular song, apparently, she eventually comes out on top and goes home with the grand prizes: a brand new, shining mobile home and the alternative rock trio themselves, dressed in equally shiny golden tuxedos.

Tanya - Jake in Progress

As Full House was reaching the peak of its popularity (in syndication, that is), Uncle Jesse actor John Stamos returned to ABC for a whole different kind of a role in the short-lived mid-2000s dramedy Jake in Progress, in which he played the titular aging womanizer seeking a change to his romantic lifestyle. Before you ask - no, Christina Hendricks' character Tanya is not a love interest for Stamos, but instead plays the unwitting temptress of Jake's married friend, Adrian, (Ian Gomez), who has just been hired as his new dental assistant. She continues to be a distracting presence for the dentist for four episodes of the second season until Adrian makes the official decision to break the awkward by firing her.

This weekend’s Toy Story 4 has been described as being very much Woody’s story. But while the heart of the story might be Tom Hanks’ cowboy, this latest installment in the Pixar franchise is also giving more shine to female characters, including Bonnie, the returning Bo Peep and newcomer Gabby Gabby. Christina Hendricks, who plays Gabby Gabby, believes the female focus of Toy Story 4 is important, as she explained:

As she told USA Today, Christina Hendricks finds it important for this beloved franchise to change with the times by giving female characters more to do. In her estimation, to not do so and to become stagnant in that regard would be a mistake. So by having a greater female focus, Toy Story 4 is evolving in an important way and avoiding what the actress would see as a mistake.

This evolution has to come naturally though and stay true to what makes Toy Story, Toy Story. Christina Hendricks didn’t want any kind of evolution to have greater inclusion of female characters betray the core and the heart of the story franchise. If Toy Story 4 can both evolve to increase its focus on female characters while also remaining unmistakably a Toy Story film, then that is the ideal scenario.

That seems like it will be the case with Toy Story 4. The core of the story is still based around Buzz and Woody and their gang of toys, but with the toys all belonging to a little girl now and Bo Peep coming back in such a big way, the franchise mixes things up and makes the ladies part of the starting lineup, not just sideline cheerleaders.

The female characters aren’t the only ones getting some shine in this new film though. In addition to the obvious main characters Woody and Buzz, there are new characters like Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele’s Ducky and Bunny, as well as Tony Hale’s Forky (who was informed about the character through Arrested Development clips) and of course Keanu Reeves’ shockingly funny Duke Caboom.

This evolution and female focus seems to have worked out pretty well (although if we hear about a defeminized cut in the future, don’t be surprised) because the reviews for Toy Story 4 are as glowing and effusive with praise as you would expect for an entry in one of cinema’s most perfect series.

It looks like audiences too are eager to see the badass Bo Peep, creepy Gabby Gabby and the always-cute Bonnie. Toy Story 4 is set to get the box office out of its recent funk with an opening weekend that could top $160 million.

Toy Story 4 is bringing back a lot of favorite characters from the previous trilogy, but we'll also be introduced to several new characters. We've seen a lot of Forky and Ducky and Bunny in the trailers, but we've seen a lot less of Christina Hendricks' new character, Gabby Gabby.

Luckily that oversight is being rectified in the form of a new clip that has been released, which appears to also be the character's introduction in the film. Check out when Woody and Forky meet Gabby Gabby in the clip below.

A piece of this scene can be found in the trailer for Toy Story 4, but this clip extends that considerably. We see Woody and Forky inside the antique store where Bo Peep's lamp has been discovered. While looking for Bo, Gabby Gabby comes across the pair and offers to help them, since she knows Bo Peep.

Of course, one thing we do know from the trailers is that Gabby Gabby is the villain of Toy Story 4, so, while Woody and Forky don't know it at this moment, they are absolutely in trouble right now. As if the utterly creepy ventriloquist dummies weren't enough evidence for that.

This clip also gives a us a bit of understanding in Gabby Gabby's potential motive. We see her notice Woody's pull string in a way that makes it clear it is important. One thing we know about the character is that her own voice box is broken, which is part of the reason she's found in an antique store and not in a child's home. It's not hard to put this information together and figure out what Gabby Gabby's goal in Toy Story 4 will be.

Christina Hendricks voice is perfect as Gabby Gabby. She sounds absolutely adorable and sweet, which fits because that's the way the doll is designed to look, but we know Hendricks can be tough as well and that's going to come through when we see her drop her facade.

While Gabby Gabby might be our film's villain, it's unclear just how much of an obstacle she'll actually be. While the Toy Story films have had villains before, like Lotso and Stinky Pete, the previous films haven't been so much about overcoming them as they have been about much broader themes. The villains are usually more personifications (toyifications?) of those themes than they are simply bad guys to be defeated.

I would guess that will be largely the case with Gabby Gabby as well. Toy Story 4 appears to be about Woody coming to terms with his own existence after Andy. A lot has changed for him, and then he meets Bo Peep again, for whom even more has changed. He will see a potential future that he never considered before. Bo Peep and Gabby gabby are both "lost toys" something Woody sees as a terrible fate, but perhaps it's not quite what he thinks it is.

Toy Story 4 hits theaters June 21

Budding suburban criminal moms rejoice! NBC has renewed its darkly comic crime dramedy Good Girls for Season 3, before Season 2 has even finished airing. The show joins previously renewed Peacock shows Superstore, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Blacklist, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, Chicago P.D., Law & Order: SVU, New Amsterdam, Ellen's Game of Games and Will & Grace. So, Good Girls will be joining some old friends when it returns for the 2019-2020 television season.

While there are some true heavy hitters that have currently been renewed along with Good Girls, the show is hardly among that lot. According to TV Line, the first six episodes of sophomore series have averaged just over a 0.6 in the target demo rating, with only 2.4 million weekly live viewers. This puts the criminally under-watched show last among NBC several hour-long dramas, but when adding in DVR views those numbers do grow to a, still modest, 1.2 in the demo rating and 4.2 million viewers.

But, it would seem that the network has faith in the show based, at least partly, on the fact that each Season 2 episode has managed to break its series record for best seven-day non-linear viewership. This means that the show has doubled its digital numbers over last season, plus the most recent episode, which aired on April 7, was able to hit a four week high in total audience.

So, it would seem that Good Girls has a bit of trouble luring people into its deceptive clutches on Sunday nights, but those who are looking to watch the underworld adventures of three best friends turned semi-reluctant criminal masterminds are sure to DVR the show and tune in later in the week. And, that's a very good thing, as far as I'm concerned.

As I noted above, Good Girls is a darkly comic tale of three moms, Ruby (Retta, Parks and Recreation), Beth (Christina Hendricks, Mad Men) and Annie (Mae Whitman, Parenthood), in suburban Detroit who all found themselves up against a financial wall in Season 1, took some extreme action and then saw themselves getting further and further into some very dangerous criminal activity. In Season 2, we've seen them continue to try to pull themselves out, only to go even deeper down the criminal path, with the law on their tail and...finding that they might enjoy doing wrong more than they thought they would.

Good Girls always manages to work comedic moments into the drama, keep the stakes unbelievably high and pull Annie, Beth and Ruby deeper into the weeds in some amazingly intriguing ways. If you think kidnapping, attempted rape, extra-marital affairs, money laundering, grocery store robbing and disposing of...well-prepared bodies is all played out territory with no room for uncomfortable laughs, then it's clear you need to check out Good Girls. The show also manages to make sure we're on their side (even when they do terrible, stupid things), but we also still feel for the FBI agent who's on to them and just can't find enough proof to take them down.

Good Girls has been a midseason show for two seasons, so it will likely debut Season 3 sometime in early 2020. Until then, you can watch Season 2 on Sundays at 10 p.m. EST on NBC, and catch up on Season 1 via Netflix.

For a family-friendly franchise all about the cute, adorable and fluffy toys of our childhood, Toy Story has featured some rather spooky characters. Remember Babyface from Sid’s room in the first film? What am I talking about, of course you do – that character’s creepy face is likely singed into the brains of everyone who watched it, especially if you were a kid.

Soon Toy Story 4 will introduce a completely new generation to the emotional damage that comes with being a neglected toy, when Christina Hendricks’ new character Gabby Gabby debuts on screen. The Mad Men and Good Girls actress will be a vintage ‘50s doll who comes complete with a heartbreaking backstory and her own army of dolls to scare the children of today into sticking with video games for good. Here’s what the movie’s director Josh Cooley told Entertainment Weekly of the character:

Did I say Toy Story can be creepy yet… because chills. Some of the most powerful villains can just sit back and watch her followers do the dirty work for them, and that looks to be exactly what Gabby Gabby does with the ventriloquist dummies Woody will meet in Toy Story 4. The pull string doll has apparently been collecting dust in an antique store for more than 60 years, and never been held and loved by a child because she was made with a broken voice box.

Because she has a defect in her voice, she sympathizes with the silent ventriloquist dummies and speaks on their behalf. Therefore, they seem to follow her every beck and call without batting an eye. Why did the filmmakers decide to include these eerie dolls in the upcoming Toy Story movie? Josh Cooley said this:

Gabby Gabby and her ventriloquist army will join some of the other villainous characters in the Toy Story universe such as Prospector, Lotso, Emperor Zurg, Sid and Big Baby. Have no fear, the new Pixar film is also introducing a slew of other new characters who seem a bit more delightful.

Keanu Reeves will play Duke Caboom, a Evel Knievel-type daredevil who will assist Woody and Bo Peep in their mission. Key and Peele will play carnival stuffed animals named Ducky and Bunny and the tiniest toy in the franchise Giggle McDimples will be played by Ally Maki. Toy Story 4 heads to theaters on June 21… on the same day the Child’s Play remake will be released. Coincidence? With Gabby Gabby on board, maybe not.

Pixar seems determined to top the emotional gauntlet that was Toy Story 3. The newest film in the franchise, Toy Story 4, is said to have brought poor Tom Hanks to tears in the recording studio, and the film isn't pulling any punches with its new characters. The doll Gabby Gabby is voiced by Christina Hendricks, and apparently the toy has never felt the love of a child because of a factory defect.

In addition to old favorites like Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie, Toy Story 4 will feature a bunch of new toys who will either help or hinder the heroes. One of the new characters is Gabby Gabby, who looks like she's based on one of those older "talking" dolls. The first trailer for the movie seems to position her as the villain (she does have an army of ventriloquist dummies after all), but she's got a backstory that will bring you to tears.

Christina Hendricks voices the new character and she told People that Gabby Gabby has a tragically ironic origin that prevents her from doing the thing all toys are meant to do. She has a broken voice box and has thus never been loved or given love to a child. Not only that, but she lives in a boring antique shop!

It doesn't sound like the other two new characters will be as tragic as Gabby Gabby. Keanu Reeves voices Duke Caboom, a Canadian daredevil modeled after Evel Knievel. Caboom is a friend of the returning Bo Peep, and he's enlisted by Bo and Woody to help on their mission. However, he's got a fear of failure that he'll have to confront to get the job done.

The final new character is the tiniest toy in the franchise, Giggle McDimples. Voiced by Ally Maki, the one-inch Giggle is the police chief of a toy haven called Miniopolis. She's Bo Peep's best friend and a "mega boss," according to Maki.

Toy Story is known for introducing great characters, so hopes are high for these three new toys! Despite an especially rough development process, the movie looks great and we'll see if it forces us to use every tissue in the house by the time the credits roll.

We have talked and written about the fact that horror movies are hot in 2018, but few horror flicks to that have debuted this year have honored the classic slasher genre quite like The Strangers: Prey at Night. The film served as a total love letter to classic slasher cinema like Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Black Christmas, and that grounded element of the story is what made the film so downright terrifying to star Christina Hendricks. In fact, in a recent interview with CinemaBlend, Hendricks addressed the down-to-earth and random nature of the horror and explained:

That's kind of the entire point of The Strangers world, isn't it? Both movies begin with one of the titular slashers arriving on a doorstep to ask, "is Tamara home," and in both cases, the question leads to a full-blown assault that leaves seemingly innocent victims dead merely because they were home. Despite all of the creepy ghosts and goblins that the horror genre has become known for, this sense of realism stands out as the thing that makes The Strangers: Prey at Night so creepy to Christina Hendricks.

This is a stark contrast to other subgenres of horror, particularly with regards to the styles of horror movies that we have seen debut this year. Though The Strangers: Prey at Night is a gritty horror thriller set in an authentic world, 2018 has mostly been defined by movies about demons (Insidious: The Last Key), curses (Truth or Dare), aliens (A Quiet Place), and demonic cults (Hereditary). Even the other notable tentpole slasher film set to debut later this year (David Gordon Green's Halloween), toys with elements of the supernatural in how immortal Michael Myers seems. Amid all of these otherworldly horror romps, The Strangers: Prey at Night stands out as one of the most plausible.

There's something about seeing suburban do gooders involved in the crime underworld that really resonates with TV audiences. Fans were delighted to watch Nancy Botwin start selling dime bags in Weeds, while Walter White's rise as a druglord in Breaking Bad was both fascinating and harrowing. Now it looks like NBC is trying their hand at this format, with its female-centric new dramedy Good Girls. While news of the show's production left questions regarding its tone, the finished product is full of laughs, twists, and a ton of heart.

Good Girls was created by screenwriter Jenna Bans, who is known for her contributions to major small screen adventures like Desperate Housewives and Scandal (to which she was also an executive producer). The series follows a trio of friends and mothers, who are just trying to keep their heads above water. This includes homemaker Beth (Mad Men's Christina Hendricks), her cashier sister Annie (Parenthood's Mae Whitman), and their waitress friend Ruby (Parks & Rec alum Retta). They each need to step up for their family to make some quick money, and they eventually decide to rob the grocery store where Annie works. As you can image, it all doesn't go exactly as planned.

Ultimately Beth, Annie, and Ruby end up getting a bit over their heads. What follows is a terrifying and hilarious journey that includes robbery, kidnapping, money laundering, and even international crime. The stakes for the show continue to escalate, as the ladies attempt to navigate their new world of crime. The show expertly two steps between drama and comedy, allowing audiences to be constantly surprised by what happens next.

While this plot seems reminiscent of movies like Sugar and Spice or Thelma and Louise, Good Girls has its own strong emotional core to lean upon. The fate of their family is at hand, and each of the leading ladies is just trying to keep their kids safe and happy. This keeps the story grounded, and explains why the trio are so determined and desperate to get through their ordeal alive. Simply quitting isn't easy enough- they've got tiny humans to take care of.

This allows the starring cast of ladies to each shine in their respective plot lines, while also functioning as a unit throughout much of the show's more action oriented scenes. The biggest revelation has to be Retta, who TV audiences will best know from NBC's beloved comedy Parks and Recreation. Her character Ruby's is just trying to help her sick daughter, and she's able to break hearts at least once an episode.

Christina Hendricks stars as Beth, who in some ways is the biggest character. After finding out her husband (a still very likable Matthew Lillard) was having an affair and putting them into a financial hole, Beth becomes a badass who takes control of her own life. This often results in her being perhaps the biggest wild card during more dangerous situations. Meanwhile Mae Whitman plays her character with the charm and vulnerability we've seen through her career. Although it can sometime be hard to see Parenthood's Amber as the mother of a preteen.

The cast has its share of slimy characters, as well. Joining the trio of ladies in the starring cast is Graceland's Manny Montana, who plays the terrifying drug dealer Rio. Annie's slimy manager Boomer (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's David Hornsby) also gets himself involved in the show's sloppy crime attempts, to hilarious results. Each of the women's kids also make regular appearances in the show, with the most remarkable being Izzy Standard as Mae Whitman's daughter Sadie. The show is making reference Sadie's gender queerness, which will no doubt be explored more as the show moves forward. Standard oozes vulnerability and quirkiness as the character, and is a definite highlight of the show.

Good Girls opens with the trio attempting to pull their robbery, and it wasn't originally clear how the story would continue following that first incident. But the series somehow managed to keep upping the stakes, allowing each episode to be fresh and exciting. Now the test will be how to keep the story believable and evolving as the show gets further into its run. Will they end up being suburban crime lords? Or will they manage to be there for their kids? Or both? We'll just have to wait and see.

Overall, Good Girls is full of fantastic performances and features a fresh story that will consistently surprise you. It certainly has the potential to be NBC's breakout midseason replacement, especially since the network has had a mixed history with comedies. Now is the perfect time to see the three women lead this cast, and hopefully continue the show's run through multiple seasons.

Good Girls, the upcoming dramedy from NBC, features three women who break bad in an effort to combat the struggles happening in each of their lives. Promotion and trailers for the series have caused some to compare Good Girls to the 1991 film classic Thelma & Louise, and Christina Hendricks is ok with that. That said, Hendricks told CinemaBlend's Conner Schwerdtfeger and others at the Television Critics Association press tour she doesn't think the similarity between the two lies within the story, but rather the on-screen dynamic she shares with her co-stars Retta and Mae Whitman:

Christina Hendricks surely gave anyone anticipating Good Girls chills with her statement about chemistry, since comparing the vibe Hendricks has with her fellow co-stars to that of Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis certainly says something about this upcoming series. Just looking at the plot outlines though, it's clear Good Girls puts its characters in a wildly different situation than what happens in Thelma & Louise. At the same time, the premise of Good Girls, which focuses on women doing whatever they can to regain control of their lives, certainly gels with the same feminist values Thelma & Louise was praised for when it was made, so its easy to see how that comparison can be made.

Jenna Bans, the executive producer for Good Girls, agreed with Christina Hendricks in regards to the Thelma & Louise comparisons. Bans said that while some themes between the two properties apply, Good Girls is its own unique story. In short, as cool as it might be to be compared to a film as prestigious as Thelma & Louise, anyone interested in this series should know that Good Girls isn't some variation of that plotline:

After decades of popularity in the comics, television and other forms of media, Wonder Woman finally made her live action, theatrical debut earlier this year being played by Gal Gadot in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Gadot will reprise the role next year in Wonder Woman (and then Justice League months later), but it took years to lead to her solo movie finally becoming a reality, and several actresses were considered during that time. For instance, when The Neon Demon's Nicolas Winding Refn was briefly in talks to direct, he had Mad Men star Christina Hendricks star in mind to play the Amazonian.

While appearing on the Happy Sad Confused podcast (via ComicBookMovie), Refn reveals that he did indeed have a meeting with Warner Bros about helming Wonder Woman, though he scoffed at the idea of the studio actually hiring him for the project. Nevertheless, during the meeting, he stated that he wanted Hendricks to play Diana of Themyscira, and that's apparently where the talks ceased. Hendricks was among the many actresses considered for a Wonder Woman movie over its two-decade tenure in development hell, including Angelina Jolie, Cather Zeta-Jones and Priyanka Chopra

These talks obviously occurred way before Gal Gadot was cast as Wonder Woman in the DC Extended Universe (a.k.a. pre-late 2013), so this was around the time that Christina Hendricks was still leading one of the most popular shows on television. Sci-fi fans may have known her years before for appearing in two episodes of Firefly, but she's most famous for starring as Joan Crawford on Mad Men from 2007 to 2015, a role for which she earned six Emmy nominations. During that run, she also appeared in movies like Drive _(where she was directed by Winding), _Struck By Lightning and Lost River, as well as provided Lois Lane's voice in the animated movie All-Star Superman. Had Wonder Woman gone into production sooner, I can definitely imagine Hendricks as Diana, iconic costume and all. However, it sounds like Warner Bros wasn't too keen on casting her, though as Refn noted, maybe they just didn't care for any of his ideas in general.

This was but one moment in the struggle to get Wonder Woman to the big screen, but it finally became a reality when Gal Gadot's iteration was introduced in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Her movie next year, which takes place during World War I, is being directed by Patty Jenkins, who succeeded Michelle McLaren after she departed for creative reason. Its main cast includes Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Lucy Davis as Etta Candy, Robin Wright as General Antiope and more.

While we'll never see Christina Hendricks wear the tiara and wield the lasso, you can see Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman next when her solo movie arrives on June 2, 2017. However, you can see Hendricks star as Chair in the Comedy Central spoof series Another Period.

When Bad Santa 2 was first announced, it had us wondering whether or not the sequel would have Billy Bob Thornton re-teaming with Lauren Graham in the forthcoming sequel. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like that's the case, as a brand new woman has strolled into the life of Willie T. Stokes. Prepare for Christina Hendricks to give our favorite mall Santa a run for his money.

In an announcement, courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter, Hendricks' character in Bad Santa 2 has been announced as a woman with a bit of a Santa fetish – much like Graham's bartender character from the original film. However, the new potential match for Thornton's Kris Kringle is the head of a charity, and possesses an Ivy League education. Along for the ride as his accomplice is Kathy Bates' mother character, who is helping Willie out on completing his latest heist - that very same charity run by his romantic opposite.

Despite being a little bit bummed that the odds of Lauren Graham's Sue returning being not particularly rosy, the new addition of Christina Hendricks is so exciting that we're already imagining the possibilities. While not much else is known about the film's story, key building blocks of the plot and the story have been revealed in the months after the film's official greenlight. With the project set to start filming this month, this is only the beginning to the Bad Santa 2 secrets to be revealed to the public.

Even before Mad Men drew to a close, with its finale airing last May, Christina Hendricks has been making her way into the world of the movies for some time. Roles in films like Drive, Lost River, and The Neon Demon have built her resume to a point where more mainstream titles are coming to call on her skills. With Bad Santa 2 acting as her most visible film project yet, this role might be the one to cement Hendricks as a full-fledged film actress. Though should a return to TV be in the cards, it also helps that a comedic role will help Christina Hendricks from being typecast in another drama.

With a cast of returning actors, as well as some surprising new additions, Bad Santa 2 is shaping up to be a sequel that's becoming increasingly harder to look away from. As if Billy Bob Thornton returning to his iconic role of a misanthropic, but eventually kind Santa, the potential banter with his new co-star is a very promising prospect. Commercials tend to promise some fairly unbelievable things. They’ve done that pretty much since the form of advertising originated. Having said that, every once in a while, the annoyances in the middle of TV are actually held accountable for their claims. That’s what has happened to Christina Hendricks’ new Clairol ad in the U.K., which has been pulled for being misleading.

The ad in question depicts the Mad Men actress dyeing her hair from red to blonde. As you might expect, her hair magically transforms from the vibrant red that we all know and love to a bright blonde, as if by magic. Well, according to the U.K.’s Independent and a couple of “hair color educators” - which is apparently a thing that they have in the U.K. - it must have been magic because there was no way the Clairol product could have possibly transformed her hair like that. Great Britain’s Advertising Standards Agency received complaints from these hair color experts

As it turns out, these experts apparently know their stuff because they were right. In reality, Hendricks is a natural blonde that has been dyeing her hair for years, and she let her hair grow out and did not dye it for the eight weeks leading up to the advert (because British words are fun). Then they dyed Hendricks hair blonde, and then they dyed it red in order to film the beginning of the commercial.

In Clairol’s defense, they apparently did only use their product, and Hendricks herself provided a signed statement to that effect. They just mixed up the order, I guess. There do certainly appear to be some shenanigans. Procter & Gamble have been ordered to pull the commercial in its current form which, since there’s really no other way to air it, means it’s now gone for good. You can check out the ad here.

Setting aside that the fact that the thing that should be banned here is Christina Hendricks as a blonde, it’s just not right, and we’d like to thank our cousins across the Atlantic for doing it right. In the U.S., we ban ads because they’re too suggestive, or because they involve selling dogs. These are absolutely good reasons, but seriously, when was the last time we banned an ad because it was wrong or because it made promises it couldn’t keep? That’s pretty much ever ad on television, isn’t it?

There are a ton of potentially excellent pilots and series in development at the moment, and one of the most exciting is Showtime’s Roadies, director Cameron Crowe’s first trip to the small screen. But that doesn’t mean that everything is going smoothly, and there’s already been a casting upheaval, as actress Carla Gugino is taking over a role previously slotted for Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks. Let this be the only snafu-that-isn’t-really-a-snafu that’ll affect this show.

Hendricks was set to play leading lady Shelli, but reportedly decided to exit the hour-long comedy project after the creative team decided to revamp some of Shelli’s characteristics. According to THR, Hendricks’ vacating the series was on amicable terms, and the decision to conceive the character in a new way had nothing to do with the actress or her performance. No feuds here.

So now we’ll get to see Gugino as Shelli – assuming Showtime picks the project up to series, anyway – who will be the production manager for the band that Roadies revolves around. (The concept centers on the behind-the-scenes team that keeps a rock tour from imploding.) Shelli is being described as “a world class multitasker, passionate music fan and tireless work partner” to Bill, the band’s tour manager to be played by Luke Wilson. Their relationship will be a core facet of the show’s comedy-infused drama as they mix their professional relationship with their personal one. It’s a description that doesn’t really sound all that different from the original version, but it’s possible the connection between Shelli and Bill was built up more.

Gugino is the latest addition to a cast that already includes Wilson, Imogen Poots, Rafe Spall, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Peter Cambor and rapper Colson Baker, better known as Machine Gun Kelly. I can’t wait to see who else gets added as it goes on, and hopefully more musical acts will pop in and out.

A veteran of both television and movies, Gugino has been all over the place in recent years, most recently on the big screen with Dwayne Johnson in San Andreas. She was part of the mystery in Fox’s recent bonkers thriller Wayward Pines, which could possibly see her return for a second season if it comes to that. She’s also on the HBO comedy The Brink, which could make her the rare performer to be on two premium cable networks at the same time. Her Roadies role reconnects her with Showtime, where she starred on Californication during Season 4.

The Oscar-winning Crowe (whose career took a recent critical tumble with Aloha) wrote the pilot and will be directing. The showrunner will be Winnie Holzman, who created the one-season-wonder My So-Called Life, and she’ll be executive producing alongside J.J. Abrams, whose Bad Robot cohorts Bryan Burk and Kathy Lingg will be there as well. Here’s hoping we get more info on Roadies soon.

If you want a comeback streak that only seems to become more interesting with each passing film, look no further than the career of Keanu Reeves. With John Wick succeeding at the box office enough to put a sequel onto the board, as well as Eli Roth's thriller Knock Knock in his queue, Reeves looks to be in demand at this moment. If you didn't think he could get any more popular, then hold onto your hats – as Nicolas Windnig Refn's latest project has just found, "The One."

It has been announced via press release that The Neon Demon has just cast Keanu Reeves in a role of unspecified importance, alongside previously named cast members Elle Fanning and Jena Malone. Also confirmed for The Neon Demon cast is mutual muse to both Refn and Ryan Gosling, Mad Men star Christina Hendricks, who we previously guessed might become involved with the project. All will star in a story about "vicious beauty" that was inspired by Refn's observation that he felt, "surrounded and dominated by women." Sounds like the wholesome family fare Nicholas Winding Refn offers every time he steps behind a camera.

It would appear that Hollywood has heard Keanu Reeves' plea from a few months ago to do more diverse and interesting projects with diverse and interesting filmmakers, as he's had quite a round of good fortune in his corner as of late. Jumping on board as ambitious a project as The Neon Demon not only affords the former Matrix star the opportunity to work with new talent, but it also puts him on a particularly promising track as an actor. Much like Ryan Gosling, Reeves' might not only find himself working with Refn again, but also could find himself in the favor of other, similarly independent directors.

While there's no specifics on the story or characters released just yet, The Neon Demon sounds like it'll be a cautionary tale about fame in the City of Angels, rife with diabolical and deadly chances for the film's leading ladies to take each other down a peg – or off this earth – with the greatest of ease. This means that Keanu Reeves could play anything from a sleazy studio executive, to a paparazzi, to even a shadowy killer. Of course, it doesn't hurt Reeves' career to be seen in roles he doesn't normally inhabit, surrounded by cast members of mass appeal.

Much like his comeback character in John Wick, Keanu Reeves has found himself in a renaissance position that could help him write his ticket to starring in either more prestige friendly or niche, genre-driven films. For the moment, the world is the man's oyster, and he looks ready to dig out some pearls.

The Neon Demon begins shooting on March 30th.

There are a ton of impressive TV projects in development out there, but few have my eyes (and ears) perked as much as Cameron Crowe’s upcoming HBO comedy, which sounds like it could be a spiritual successor to Almost Famous. Roadies, currently in the pilot stage, now has a talented new cast member entering the fray, as Mad Men star Christina Hendricks is joining Luke Wilson and the rest of the previously announced cast.

Roadies’ plot is not an outlandish one, as it takes place during a huge rock tour, only from the points-of-view of the guys who get things up and running behind the scenes. Hendricks will be playing the band’s production manager Shelli. (You can always tell the quality of a person by whether an “I” or a “y” is at the end of the name.) She’s kind of a hardcore gal that deals with her problems privately rather than publically, and she also excels at her job. Which is good, since she’s doing it all the time. I can easily picture Hendricks putting the kibosh on many an ill-advised band member’s ideas for Party Time.

For Roadies, Wilson will play the sleepless tour manager Bill, who is working through five years of sobriety, and will be partnered up with Shelli in keeping the band in line. Imogen Poots (Need for Speed) will play Kelly Ann, a bubbly and personable electrical tech, while Keisha Castle-Hughes (Whale Rider) is set to play the outspoken sound mixer. For a guitar tech, the show has Peter Cambor (NCIS: Los Angeles), whose charm is as sizeable as his grunginess. Rounding out this talented squad is Rafe Spall (Prometheus), who will play a wealthy financial advisor who tags along for the tour to keep the budget intact, regardless of the gaps in his musical knowledge.

Cameron Crowe has written the pilot for Roadies and is set to direct it as well. J.J. Abrams is also on board as an executive producer through Bad Robot, along with My So-Called Life creator Winnie Holzman. This is obviously an all-star bunch on both sides of the camera.

Hendricks, who is set to return to Mad Men in 2015, can be seen in recent features such as John Slattery’s crime drama God’s Pocket and Ryan Gosling’s fantastical directorial debut Lost River. She’ll be seen next year on the big screen in Gilles Paquet-Brenner’s adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s Dark Places, as well as Campbell Scott’s revolutionary drama A Book of Common Prayer.

Roadies is set to go into production on its one-hour HBO pilot in early 2015 in Vancouver. Somebody get Patrick Fugit involved, stat.

While a lot of hot-blooded men were probably rocking on their heels waiting to see Christina Hendricks play a stripper in Gilles Paquet-Brenner’s upcoming mystery thriller Dark Places, her role was recently changed once the film went into production. The waiting game to see who filled the role hasn’t lasted long, as Exclusive Media announced in Toronto that actress Drea de Matteo will be filling the role. Or drilling the pole, as it were.

While she’s well-known for her TV work, de Matteo hasn’t had a role in a film with this much buzz going for it since she starred in Stephen Winter and Xan Cassavetes' segment in 2009’s New York, I Love You, and if that doesn’t count, then it’s probably 2001’s Swordfish. Or maybe 2005’s Assault on Precinct 13. Either way, we’ve been lucky that de Matteo keeps landing great roles on TV. She’s arguably best known for her Emmy Award-winning work as Adriana on HBO’s classic series The Sopranos, and has had long stints on series such as Desperate Housewives, Joey and most recently Sons of Anarchy, which she’ll come back to when it returns on September 10.

In the film, an adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s bestselling 2009 novel, protagonist Libby Day (Charlize Theron) was seven years old when her mother and two sisters were brutally murdered, devil worshiper style, and she testified that her teenage brother Ben (Corey Stoll) was the killer. As an adult, Libby is confronted by a secret society of crime-obsessed mystery-solvers who want to prove Ben’s innocence, and Libby’s search for the truth takes her all over the place, with a killer not far behind. de Matteo will portray exotic dancer Krissi Cates, who Libby meets along the way, learning that Krissi accused Ben of being a child molester.

Dark Places also stars Hendricks as young Libby's mother, Nicholas Hoult (Warm Bodies, Tye Sheridan (Mud), Andrea Roth (Rescue Me), and Chloë Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass). It’s currently filming in Shreveport, Louisiana, and is set to hit theaters next year on September 1, 2014.

This is the first of two Flynn adaptations we can look forward to in the next year or two, as David Fincher is currently casting his next project, the thriller Gone Girl, with Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike.

Earlier this year, de Matteo filmed Shana Betz’s crime drama Free Ride with Anna Paquin, but there’s no release date set for it yet. Although there are clips out there of de Matteo in a bra-and-panties scene that would fit the subject of this story, this fanmade tribute video is far too excellent to pass up, given the awkward juxtaposition of Whitesnake’s “Here I Go Again” next to anything.

John Slattery's tenure on the long-running series Mad Men has afforded him the opportunity to flex his filmmaker muscle, having directed four episodes of the show, but now he's ready to take his behind-the-scenes prowess to the big screen. And what's more, he's bringing one of his co-stars, Academy Award winner, and two of the best character actors we have along with him.

According to Deadline, Slattery is now getting ready to make his feature directorial debut on God's Pocket, an adaptation of the Pete Dexter novel that he scripted with Alex Metcalf, and has signed Christina Hendricks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Richard Jenkins, and John Turturro to star. Set in South Philidelphia, the story follows a man named Mickey, whose psychotic stepson is killed on a construction site due to an "accident." While Mickey tries to quietly get rid of the body, his life becomes complicated when a reporter starts snooping around. From there, the site says, the protagonist "finds himself stuck in a life and death struggle between a body he can’t bury, a wife he can’t please and a debt he can’t pay." The article makes no mention of what characters any of the actors will be playing. The film is being sold at the Cannes Film Festival, but there's no mention of when production is scheduled to start.

Speaking of directorial debuts, Hendricks is currently in production on Ryan Gosling's, a fantasy thriller called How To Catch A Monster. Hoffman will be seen later this year in both The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, in which he plays Plutarch Heavensbee; and the John le Carre adapted thriller A Most Wanted Man. Jenkins has both White House Down and Turbo due out this summer, and Turturro is in post-production on his latest directorial effort, Fading Gigolo.

Though there’s no sign that Mad Men will be leaving the airwaves anytime soon, actress Christina Hendricks has been laying the groundwork down for a successful film career, taking on smaller roles in a variety of genres, most notably in 2011’s Drive. Now it appears she’s moving into the leading lady roles, already set to star in Ryan Gosling's directorial debut How to Catch a Monster, and now adding another project to her slate.

Hendricks has signed on for director Campbell Scott’s upcoming adaptation of Joan Didion’s 1977 novel A Book of Common Prayer, Variety reports. Leaving behind all shades of femme fatale Joan Holloway, she will play the central character Charlotte Douglas, from a screenplay adapted by Joyce McKee and Rachel LeMin.

In the novel, Douglas is an American woman whose life is torn apart when her daughter runs away with a group of terrorist radicals. She travels to a Central American country with revolution ever-present on the horizon, and inexplicably believes that this is the place where she and her daughter will reunite. The narrative is told from the point of view of an American expatriate anthropologist who tries applying her analytical point of view into understanding Charlotte’s plight. This has festival potential written all over it.

“We are thrilled that Christina has agreed to come on board to play the lead role of Charlotte Douglas,” Scott and producer Marcia Weiss said in a statement. “Charlotte is a complex and compelling character and Christina is the perfect actor to play her.”

Ryan Gosling has been an actor, a producer and even contributed to a couple of soundtracks, but now he's ready to take the next major step in his career: he's both grabbing a pen and getting ready to hop into the director's chair. The Oscar-nominated star is now prepping to both write and helm How To Catch A Monster, a project described as a fantasy noir and set to star Mad Men actress Christina Hendricks.

THR describes the film as a "modern day fairytale set against the surreal dreamscape of a vanishing city." Hendricks will play a single mother named Billy who finds herself brought into a dark underworld while her teenage son discovers an underwater town. Gosling will also produce the film along with Marc Platt, Adam Siegell, Michel Litvak and David Lancaster. Bold Films will be financing the film and the project will be brought to month's Toronto International Film Festival in search of foreign buyers. Sierra/Affinity will be dealing with international sales and production is being planned for next spring.

In a press release about the film, Litvak is quoted saying, ""We have a tremendous amount of trust and confidence in Ryan, Christina, Marc and Adam, both personally and professionally. We responded immediately to Ryan's script, and look forward to nurturing the next phase of his career and continuing Bold's commitment to an artistically collaborative environment."

Gosling, of course, worked with Christina Hendricks in Nicolas Winding Refn's Drive. The actor will next be seen in Derek Cianfrance's The Place Beyond The Pines - which will be premiering at TIFF - while Hendrick's next big screen role will be will be alongside Elle Fanning and Annette Bening in Sally Potter's Ginger & Rosa.

Earlier today, racy photos of Christina Hendricks started appearing on the Internet. They featured the actress in various outfits and poses, but not surprisingly, the one that showed her nipples aroused the most interest. Because it was the only picture that was from the neck down, many observers wondered if it might be a fake. Well, after hours of speculating, we’ve been given an answer.

Apparently, the Mad Men star’s phone was hacked, and all of the photographs are of her except the one with exposed nipples. The actress’ rep told E! News the most revealing shot is definitely a fake. Nonetheless, the police have still been informed of the breach to her privacy, and an investigation has been launched to try and find the hacker that infiltrated her phone.

In addition to Hendricks’ snapshots, candids of Olivia Munn also made the rounds today. They too included a wide assortment of scantily-clad shots featuring the actress’ face and one entirely naked one from the neck down. Munn’s people have not responded to the hoopla, but it’s entirely possible if her phone was hacked, authorities might be looking for the same person.

The contents of someone’s phone and email should be their private property, but today’s leaks coupled with Scarlett Johansson’s recent dilemma are evidence of just how public those contents can sometimes become. We’ll keep you updated if authorities have any luck tracking down the perpetrator or if Munn releases an official statement.

I was in the audience at the Los Angeles Film Festival when Nicolas Winding Refn told the crowd that if he were ever going to make a movie about Wonder Woman he would choose Christina Hendricks to star. Some people took this to mean that the Danish filmmaker was actively working on a Wonder Woman project and was announcing Hendrick's involvement. While he may have an idea what he'd like to do with the property, there didn't seem to be any guarantee that he was actively pursuing it. Now recent comments have revealed that Winding Refn does, in fact, have some real interest in the project.

While participating in a Q&A during the Empire Big Screen '11, the filmmaker revealed that he would love to bring the DC Comics heroine to the big screen with Christina Hendricks in the role, but that "Warner Bros haven’t called yet." According to The Playlist, Winding Refn then said that his remake of Logan's Run has been moving forward and that he may use the project as a means to convince the studio that he would be the right man to make the movie. Said Winding Refn, "I think someone said to me in a meeting that if I get Logan’s Run right, then I’ll get Wonder Woman."

Given how the Drive helmer's words were twisted at LAFF, I'm inclined to take these quotes with a grain of salt as he could just be joking. That said, I'd be incredibly curious to see Winding Refn's take on Wonder Woman and I would never in a million years complain about seeing Christina Hendricks in a corset, short-shorts and knee-high boots.

Now that NBC has given up on turning Wonder Woman into a TV series by passing on their already filmed pilot, we can get back down to the business of covering Wonder Woman movie rumors. Here’s the latest: Christina Hendricks could be the favorite to play the Amazonian superhero.

Rumor of her possible involvement comes from the Los Angeles Film Festival, where last night Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn told the assembled crowd that he “has a plan in mind” for a Wonder Woman feature. Whether he’s actually doing anything with that plan is anyone’s guess, he’s been talking about doing this since 2010 and nothing has come of it. With the TV series out of the way though, maybe the time is right, and according to NY Mag he already has his star picked out. During the discussion Refn pointed to Drive actress Christina Hendricks and said, “If I ever get to do it, she's going to be it.”

Who exactly will she be in it? It’s worth nothing that Refn didn’t come right out and say he wanted her to wield Wonder Woman’s golden lasso, he just said he wanted her in the movie. I suppose he could just throw her in for some sort of cameo. But let’s assume for the sake of argument that he wants her for his Wonder Woman. That would be just fine with Hendricks, who’s been only too happy in the past to tell the world about her love of the character. Last year she even went on Rachel Ray and admitted to wearing Wonder Woman underoos.

Still, there are an awful lot of ifs here. If Refn actually has a studio interested in making his project, and if that studio would consent to cast an actress primarily known (but not really that well known at all) for her work on a basic cable television show (AMC’s Mad Men) and if they could find a Wonder Woman costume which can actually fit around Christina’s overtly female proportions, then we might have a good idea for a decent, female-led superhero movie here. Wonder Woman as a busty redhead? I can dig it. Anything’s better than what NBC did, by casting the character as a bland brunette with a penchant for wearing pants.

It's amazing what being a part of a massively successful television show can do for your career as an actor. For years Christina Hendricks' filmography was largely filled with guest spots on television shows from ER to Tru Calling. But with the incredible popularity of Mad Men and her ability to look jaw-droppingly beautiful in 1960s garb, she's getting her fair share of film parts. Starring in Tony Kaye's Detatchment and Nicolas Winding Refn's Drive later this year and recently signed on to I Don't Know How She Does It, Hendricks has done an excellent job of filling her schedule while her series is on hiatus, and now she's adding another.

Deadline is reporting that the actress has signed on for Seconds of Pleasure set to be directed by Mike Figgis and based on a script by Neil LaBute. An omnibus structure, the film is made up of a series of vignettes connecting the lives of passengers on a plane. Hendricks will play the wife of a character played by Brendan Fraser who catches him "in a compromising position." The rest of the cast is rounded out by Julia Stiles, Matt Dillon and Kristen Scott Thomas.

Considering my not-so-secret crush on Christina Hendricks, I will say that I'm happy to see her get more work, but not too thrilled that she's being paired up with Brendan Fraser. After all, that's the dude who's doing the fish heist movie.

They may not be naked and covered in blood like those True Blood hedonists, but the Mad Men cast is looking plenty sexy on the cover of this week's Rolling Stone. Jon Hamm is on hand to represent the menfolk, while Christina Hendricks, Elisabeth Moss and January Jones are all there, done up in their finest (never say Rolling Stone doesn't know what kind of photos sell magazines). Neither Moss or Jones is dressed exactly like Peggy Olson or Betty Draper would in real life, but don't let anyone say they're not pulling it off anyway.

Newly crowned yet again as an Emmy winner and coming off a stellar recent episode, Mad Men seems even more on top of the world now than it was before. A Rolling Stone cover isn't exactly as hip as it used to be, but at least the classy ladies and gents of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce aren't letting the vampires have all the fun.

Call me biased, but I don't think Mad Men's Christina Hendricks ever looks as gorgeous as she does when laying down the law and showing off her curves as Joan Holloway. But hey, maybe her red carpet style doesn't do her justice, and seeing her in live-action in the modern world will prove me wrong.

Unfortunately, I don't expect there to be much exciting about her role in Life as We Know It the Katherine Heigl-Josh Duhamel weepie in which Hendricks will play the best friend to both characters. Given that the movie starts when the mutual best friends of the two die in a car accident, it's unclear whether Hendricks will play a dead best friend or a living one. All I know is it would be a shame to pull Joan away from Sterling Cooper only to have her play a ghost.

According to THR, filming starts in Atlanta this fall. I know Christina Hendricks isn't really Joan Holloway, but I wouldn't mind her bringing some of Joan's no-nonsense attitude to keep whiny Katherine Heigl in line? "You complain about 18 hour days? Let me tell you about the time my fiance raped me on my boss's office floor!"
