As things continue to get serious on the beaches of Bachelor in Paradise, one engagement from The Bachelorette has come to an end. Season 16 Bachelorette Clare Crawley has reportedly ended her relationship with Dale Moss — again. But while the couple has broken up before and been fairly open about putting work into their relationship, it sounds like Crawley and Moss might be done for good this time.

A source confirmed the breakup to Us Weekly. Said person alleged that Clare Crawley and Dale Moss were doing what was “best for them":

The Season 16 Bachelorette and the former football player briefly split up in January, and rumors swirled about whether Dale Moss had cheated on Clare Crawley. However, only a few weeks later, the couple was spotted hanging out again. They reunited and got re-engaged, even as they were reportedly still working through the issues that caused them to break up in the first place. If one of those issues is that Moss doesn’t want to leave New York, that’s a big hurdle to overcome, as Crawley likely wouldn’t be willing to leave her mother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s and is in a care facility in California.

The two appeared happy on social media throughout the summer, and Dale Moss stuck by his fiancée as she suffered from Breast Implant Illness and ultimately had surgery to remove her implants. Earlier this month, Moss had only positive things to say about Crawley and the strength she displayed amid her health battles:

Clare Crawley fell in love at first sight on The Bachelorette. After Dale Moss exited the limo, Crawley told producers she felt like she had just met her husband. The two had known each other less than two weeks when Crawley decided her journey on the show was over. She and Moss got engaged, and Tayshia Adams was brought in as the new Bachelorette for Crawley’s cast-offs.

The attraction between Moss and Crawley is undeniable, and it seems like they really tried to make it work. But there are clearly issues at play that the couple can’t get past and, whether that’s fidelity or the health of Crawley’s mom or something unknown to the public, this time the break-up really sounds permanent.

Season 18 of The Bachelorette premieres Tuesday, October 19, featuring Michelle Young’s quest for love and, while ABC hasn’t made any official announcement, the Bachelor for Season 26 has been identified by many media outlets as one of her suitors. Clare Crawley broke the mold when she walked away from The Bachelorette Season 16, engaged to Dale Moss after only two weeks of filming. Since her time on the show, Crawley has continued to speak out for self-care, and has been open on social media about the health struggles she’s faced, which includes a recent surgery to have her breast implants removed. Moss has been at her side for her battles, despite their temporary split, and he has opened up about Crawley’s condition, as well as the lessons he’s learned from watching her.

On Instagram, Clare Crawley has documented her struggle with Breast Implant Illness, telling followers about her decision to have her implants removed and speaking to the importance of women’s body images as related to their body shapes. Dale Moss, the former contestant on The Bachelorette who formed an instantaneous connection with Crawley, spoke to the Talking It Out podcast about how proud he is of his fiancée for taking the necessary steps to keep her health a priority. He also gave an update on Crawley’s post-surgery recovery, saying that everything is all good now.

Dale Moss firmly stated that Clare Crawley’s decisions about making changes to her body were hers to make, saying his role was as a source of support. He told podcast hosts Mike Johnson and Bryan Abasolo that the most challenging part for him was not actually being able to do more, as he had to learn how to comfort and encourage Crawley without being able to physically fix her situation. In his words:

Only four episodes of The Bachelorette Season 16 were filmed before Clare Crawley turned the show upside down by announcing she’d found her future husband, and proved it by bowing out. Tayshia Adams was brought in to serve as The Bachelorette for the rest of that season's episodes, ultimately getting engaged to Zac Clark.

Aside from Clare Crawley’s health issues, she and Dale Moss have weathered other storms in their relationship — probably to be expected when you get engaged after two weeks. The couple broke up after a five-month engagement, with some even saying Moss had been cheating on Crawley. But true love won’t be denied, and the couple was seen together just a month after the breakup, with their reconciliation later being made public. Here's hoping Crawley's health continues to stay on the up and up as their relationship grows.

When Clare Crawley gave out her final rose earlier than expected on The Bachelorette, prompting ABC to bring in Tayshia Adams to replace her, it wasn’t too surprising. It seemed that her fairytale just so happened to be on the fast track after she fell in love with contestant Dale Moss. Things didn’t pan out so well for the two after The Bachelorette though, with the couple eventually breaking up. Now, Crawley saying that her season didn’t “come out” the way she hoped in the final edit.

Bachelor Nation alum Clare Crawley only had four episodes of her time on The Bachelorette air before she walked off into the sunset, engaged to Dale Moss. Their love story was portrayed as picture perfect, with Crawley even saying on the first night that she “just met my husband” after meeting Moss. Apparently though, this magical reality television edit wasn’t what Crawley wanted. She told the Girl Powerful Project during an Instagram live session:

Clare Crawley’s claim is probably a first for The Bachelorette, wherein the leading lady thinks she was edited out to be too perfect or too magical. One must admit that the alternative seems a heck of a lot worse. Some women have been denied, even at the final rose ceremony, while others have been heavily criticized for poor behavior. Leaving the show with supposedly the perfect man and on your own terms actually sounds like the best-case scenario for a reality competition.

Still, despite the idyllic love story between Clare Crawley and Dale Moss on The Bachelorette Season 16, it wasn’t exactly a “perfect fairytale” journey for Crawley, who took on the moniker of being the oldest Bachelorette in the show’s history. In fact, there was a lot of drama just in her four episodes. The men complained that Crawley spent too much time with Moss, and it culminated with the explosive exchange between Crawley and Yosef Aborady. Aborady apparently had a problem with Crawley stating that the men were “there for her” and with the concept of a naked dodgeball date, telling her at the time that it was “degrading,” “humiliating,” “immature,” “distasteful,” and “classless” of Crawley.

Suffice to say, Yosef Aborady was asked to leave. But it was Clare Crawley’s impassioned and emotional line that she was the oldest single Bachelorette precisely because she didn’t “settle for men like that.” She was widely applauded for her defense of herself. Still, Crawley hoped that other facets of her personality would come through on The Bachelorette. She continued:

Being one’s true self isn’t always the chief aim of reality television, however. As we saw recently from Matt James’ Bachelor season, things eventually come out that perhaps contradict who you present as on TV. Former Bachelor Nation contestants are now allegedly wary of signing on to do the next season of Bachelor in Paradise for exactly this reason.

Clare Crawley might not be so ecstatic for her Bachelorette Season 16 edit. But as we all know now, things could have played out worse. Much worse.

Dear Bachelor Nation, when you awoke from your peaceful slumbers this (possibly snowy) February morn, did you expect, in even the slightest way, to be reading about The Bachelorette's Clare Crawley and Dale Moss? I, for one, can certainly say that I did not dream of such a thing, and yet here we are. It hasn't even been a full month since the breakup heard 'round the world, but something's going on with those two, because it looks like Clare and Dale have been hanging out again.

As you may recall (LOL. I know you do.), Clare and Dale broke up in late January, just three months after their very speedy engagement was shown on Season 16 of The Bachelorette. And, several aspects of that split did not seem to imply that Clare and Dale would be on friendly terms so recently after the fact, but TMZ has obtained photos of the two out and about at a bar in Florida just yesterday.

Apparently, Clare and Dale were spotted at the Nokomo's Sunset Hut in Nokomis, Florida yesterday, where they reportedly walked in together and even saw fit to engage in a little PDA, as they hugged a few times while patronizing the establishment. According to others who were in the bar at the same time, Clare and Dale each had a Moscow mule, and stayed at the bar for about 45 minutes before leaving to walk down the waterfront, which is nearby.

Guys? I am so confused. If you look at the photos, neither of them appear to be especially happy, but they're also not distancing or wearing masks, so...what? What does this mean?! Is this just a post-breakup reckoning? If that's the case, couldn't they have done it over the phone or video chat, and not traveled from their respective homes (which I believe to be Sacramento for her and New York for him) to meet in person, when they likely haven't spent any time together in almost a month? Could they be trying to work things out and actually considering getting back together?

The idea of that seems rather unlikely considering how their breakup went down, but everything about how Clare and Dale got into a relationship in the first place is unlikely. When Clare was chosen as Bachelorette early last year, we all thought things were going to go as planned, but, of course, pretty much nothing did. Because of the long break needed before they could film her season, she had time to check out all the men who'd been cast, and seemed to have set her sights on Dale very early on.

Once they met on set, it only took about two weeks for them to become engaged, which led to Clare leaving her season way early, and them riding off into the sweaty Palm Springs sunset during the fourth episode of The Bachelorette. Everything seemed hunky dory between them for the entirety of their five month engagement if one checked out their social media or watched interviews with them, right up through the first week of January. Dale then announced their split on Instagram on January 19, claiming that it was a mutual decision, which Clare disputed when she released her own statement a couple of days later.

On top of that, there have been rumors that Dale was cheating on Clare for the duration of their romance, which sources have said isn't true, noting that the woman Dale was spotted with was simply a long-time friend who was trying to help him find an apartment in New York for himself and Clare. Either way, it sounds like their split was sudden and at least somewhat contentious, so them being seen with one another so soon afterward is very surprising.

But, they also could have met up in private, so, who knows? It seems that Clare Crawley and Dale Moss wanted everyone to know that they had a Florida hang, though we may never know why they did it publicly. For those of you who were heartbroken over their breakup, I suppose this might offer a small glimmer of hope that the two are trying to work things out. We'll just have to wait and see what happens next.

The whirlwind romance of Clare Crawley and Dale Moss from the early episodes of The Bachelorette Season 16 has come to an end after just five months of engagement, as announced by Moss himself via social media. Speaking in terms of "we" and "us," Moss said that they hope for the best for each other and decided to go their separate ways. Now, just days after Moss shared his side of the story, the plot has thickened. Was he cheating on Crawley during their entire engagement?

As it turns out, there are several sides to this story, with Clare Crawley herself pitching in with her own perspective on the breakup as well. According to E! News, multiple sources familiar with Crawley and Dale Moss' breakup believe that he had been cheating on the former Bachelorette all along. A source claims that Moss was reportedly close with a woman in what Moss told Crawley was a business relationship since 2019, but Crawley had suspicions that were ultimately confirmed when she saw proof that Moss was with this other woman every time he made a solo trip to New York.

Sources state that Dale Moss can join the list of Bachelor Nation alums who were there "for the wrong reasons," looking for fame in the form of podcast hosting (which has worked for others out of Bachelor Nation) and modeling. Another reported insider says that Clare Crawley was "completely blindsided" by Moss' post that they had broken up, when she believed despite evidence to the contrary that they were working on their relationship. Signs from these sources indicate that Moss was cheating and then shocked Clare by going public with a breakup, but those aren't the only rumors floating around.

A source close to Dale Moss told ET that reports of him cheating on Clare Crawley "are not true," and the woman he is accused of cheating with is said to have been helping him to find an apartment for both him and Crawley in New York City. The source claims that Moss was faithful "the entire time he was dating Clare." At this point, it's anonymous source vs. anonymous source, so let's turn to what Crawley herself has to say. The brief Bachelorette leading lady took to Instagram to break her silence:

Whether or not the cheating allegations are true remains to be seen, and Clare Crawley didn't address them in her statement on the breakup. That said, it seems clear that she has taken the breakup very hard, especially without getting advance notice of what Dale Moss was going to post. As for her declaration that she'll continue to "be committed to love," that's a brave statement considering her heartache stemming from the infamous breakup with Juan Pablo Galavis on The Bachelor, the broken engagement from Bachelor Winter Games, and now the post-Bachelorette breakup with Moss.

All things considered, the breakup might not come as the biggest surprise to viewers who watched the romance unfold on The Bachelorette. Dale Moss seemed surprised to be somewhat put on the spot with the news that Clare Crawley was ready for a proposal, but went ahead and popped the question anyway. Some Bachelor Nation romances work out despite unlikely circumstances; Moss and Crawley will join the ranks of those that didn't. Maybe Matt James will have better luck with his current run on The Bachelor, on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC!

Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette was bonkers even by Bachelor Nation standards, with Clare deciding that her search for love was over after just two weeks of filming, getting engaged to Dale Moss in the fourth episode, and being replaced by Tayshia Adams to finish Season 16. The whirlwind romance between Clare and Dale started as soon as Clare set eyes on him, and she didn't spare much attention for the rest of her suitors before finally making the decision that Dale was the one. It also apparently did not build the foundation for a lasting relationship, as Dale himself has broken the news that their love story has ended.

In an Instagram post, Dale Moss didn't mince words in explaining the situation to fans:

Dale Moss was respectful to Clare Crawley in revealing the breakup news on social media, sharing that they decided this was the "healthiest decision" for them at this point and hope for the best for each other. He also finished off the post by asking that people "respect our privacy as we work through this together." The breakup comes just three months after their engagement was broadcast on The Bachelorette back in November 2020.

Interestingly, both Dale Moss and Clare Crawley's Instagram accounts don't point toward a breakup even within recent weeks. Clare liked a post of Dale and his parents just days ago, left heart eye emojis on a shirtless photo of Dale from a week ago along with a like, and was featured in a video of the two of them jamming out together in a car on January 5 on Dale's account. He even shared a New Year's Eve photo of the two of them with the caption of "The best is yet to come."

As for Clare Crawley on Instagram, she posted an image of her looking quite cozy with Dale Moss with the caption of "Let's never leave" on January 9, and a video on January 1 of her and Dale celebrating the new year with their dogs in hand and Dale going shirtless yet again. If this breakup was a long time coming, then both Clare and Dale did a good job of hiding any trouble from their social media accounts to this point.

Clare Crawley hasn't yet commented on the breakup, but Dale Moss posted several Instagram Stories on January 19 before ultimately sharing the breakup news, and he doesn't seem too upset in those Stories. He reveals that he's in New York, at work with some snacks and coffee, and then says in a video that he still feels "like I'm on holiday break" with a big smile. Obviously I'm not in on the details of their breakup, but can I just say "ouch" on Clare's behalf? Maybe she'll have another regret from her season now.

For now, we can only wait for the next developments in what happened to their brief but passionate romance. The Bachelorette Season 16 has come to an end for both Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams by this point, and the franchise has moved on to Matt James and his season of The Bachelor, which has already packed in its share of drama. The Bachelorette Season 16 went full-steam ahead with its Men Tell All episode, revisiting past moments from early on in the season's run, when former Bachelorette Clare Crowley was the main focus ahead of Tayshia Adams’ arrival. When one particularly contentious incident from earlier in Season 16 was brought up during the telecast, it made Crowley wish she’d been allowed to attend the Men Tell All event.

Here’s what happened. In an October episode of The Bachelorette Season 16, contestant Yosef Aborady expressed being appalled and humiliated about the strip dodgeball date (which he was not a part of) and accused Clare Crowley of not setting a good example for his daughter. That conversation escalated into a fight that caused Clare to walk away from Yosef once he kept interrupting her as she tried to say her piece.

During the Men Tell All episode of The Bachelorette's latest season, the incident was brought up again, and Yosef Aborady still had no regrets about what he said or how he handled the situation with Clare Crowley. He went on to say that if his daughter went on a date that included strip dodgeball, Yosef would have wanted someone to call her out on it, too. The rest of the contestants took Yosef to task and even host Chris Harrison jumped in to offer Yosef some advice (that he of course didn’t listen to). Though Clare wasn’t in attendance to defend herself, she took to Twitter to thank the rest of the men for defending her. Here’s what she wrote:

The Bachelorette Season 16 has featured its fair share of drama, but that strip dodgeball date was a definite point of contention for some viewers, as well as former Bachelor Ben Higgins, who argued that there was a “double standard” on The Bachelorette. In his mind, there was no way that a season of The Bachelor would allow the female contestants to strip down to their underwear without it being considered a major issue.

In her defense, Clare Crowley has implied that the strip dodgeball game was not her idea, and she has liked tweets speculating that the producers were actually the ones who wanted that particular date to happen on The Bachelorette. Either way, I think we can all agree that the way Yosef Aborady spoke to Clare and his lack of remorse for the way he handled the situation isn’t the greatest look. But, hey, at least she knows the rest of the guys have her back.

After months of rumors, but no confirmation, last week's episode of The Bachelorette Season 16 finally saw Clare Crawley ride off into the Palm Springs sunset after getting engaged to suitor Dale Moss only a few days into her time as lead. What came next, in the final moments of the episode, was Tayshia Adams taking over as Bachelorette, as we'd heard would happen for many weeks. But, if you're wondering why Tayshia was the right woman for the job, among many potential options, we now have the answer for you.

Tayshia first stole hearts last year on Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor, then moved on to give us a lot of drama on that year's showing of Bachelor in Paradise. As we all know, though, producers could have easily chosen any of a dozen (or more) women to pick up leading lady duties after Clare found her (possibly) forever love, even if they had just mined the casts from Colton's season or Peter Weber's early 2020 season. Now, ABC's senior vice president of alternative series, specials and late-night programming, Rob Mills, has spoken out about why they all thought that Tayshia was the new Season 16 lead we all needed, telling Variety:

You'll probably recall that one of the major deals made about Clare being chosen for The Bachelorette (both before her season started and as we saw her time play out on screen) is that she's the oldest of the bunch so far. After Peter's season, fans had clamored for someone with more maturity to come in as Bachelorette, and the show managed to give us Clare, who turned 39 a few months before they filmed her part of the 2020 season.

Of course, age doesn't always equal maturity, but Rob Mills is saying that everyone involved in the decision to cast Tayshia (who's a decade Clare's junior) believed that she would also offer up the maturity that fans seemed to be looking for in their new Bachelorette. He also noted that because Clare was already announced rather late in the Bachelorette game, that many of the guys who were cast might have been hoping that someone else was going to be chosen anyway, so Tayshia seemed like a good fit to help them forget Clare and be able to become emotionally attached (hopefully) to someone else quickly.

Of course, Tayshia's journey is just getting started, so we can all see how it turns out (and if the rumors of her final rose pick are true) as The Bachelorette continues to air, Tuesdays on ABC at 8 p.m. EST. The Bachelor franchise has a long-standing tradition of including Tell All episodes for each respective season where the cast is reunited before the final rose is handed out. These installments are stereotypically ripe with drama, too, since there is usually a lot to air out between the cast members. However, The Bachelorette Season 16, like all TV shows, has been filming under strict COVID-19 restrictions. Despite the current situation and the risks involved with in-person groupings, host Chris Harrison says he doesn’t want to just have a virtual tell-all for Season 16.

The Bachelorette Season 16 has been one of the most talked about seasons of the series thus far. The drama actually started well before the show premiered, incited by Bachelorette Clare Crawley departing the production two weeks into filming, allegedly to be with contestant Dale Moss. She was quickly replaced by Bachelor Nation vet Tayshia Adams, so there’s definitely plenty to discuss when the Men Tell All episode does come around. Currently, Chris Harrison says the production is trying to bring viewers a semblance of normalcy with the upcoming tell-all, rather than falling back and relying on a virtual episode. Here’s what he told ET:

Hey now, I don’t think all the talk shows look bad being virtual. We’re currently in the midst of a global pandemic and the shift to less-populated formats is warranted, as well as being the safest route to go. That said, I agree that it’s more engaging to watch when everyone is there in person in person, and it might not have quite the same impact to watch The Bachelorette’s men speaking to each other about the events of the season through computer and mobile screens.

The Bachelorette quarantined its cast members in a Palm Springs resort starting in in mid-July so that they could film the show with all the proper safety protocols and guidelines in place. However, having all the contestants back in a studio might pose some additional safety issues that will have to get sorted out beforehand, though Chris Harrison wasn’t clear on what would need to be done to make it happen.

The Bachelorette’s Season 16 has only been airing for three weeks now, but there’s already so much going on. Chris Harrison went on to tease what’s in store for Episode 4, which he described as “even more incredible” than what has already transpired this season. He also believes the episodes from weeks three and four will go down in The Bachelorette’s history, presumably due to Tayshia Adams' inclusion. That tell-all can’t come soon enough!

Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette has been surrounded by melodrama since before it even premiered, and not entirely due to the delayed production that held the premiere until October. Rumors circulated that Clare was going to settle on Dale Moss early in the season, resulting in an unprecedented Bachelorette swap with none other than Bachelor Nation alum Tayshia Adams stepping into the spotlight. Read on for a look at the major twists that may be on the way, according to current spoilers!

The Bachelorette is barely into Clare's season, with only two rose ceremonies under her belt so far, but spoiler guru Reality Steve reports that her time is almost at an end, and she won't be distributing roses again as Bachelorette. Yosef Aborady, who was one of the most vocal bachelors protesting the strip dodgeball date (that he wasn't even part of), apparently won't have a shot at love with Tayshia Adams when he drops some harsh words on Clare and is sent home. The second rose ceremony will reportedly see the departures of Garin Flowers, Tyler Smith, and Blake Monar.

Unsurprisingly, Reality Steve states that Clare will spend more time with Dale Moss moving forward, which isn't going to sit well with the rest of the guys who have had to watch her favor him from almost the very beginning of the season. After a bad one-on-one date with Zach Jackson and a roast that doesn't result in diverting Clare from Dale, Clare would normally be heading toward her third rose ceremony, and this is where things start to get really juicy, based on available spoilers so far.

Reality Steve now claims that she never gets to her third at all, meaning that the next Bachelorette rose ceremony of Season 16 will be Tayshia's. The next episode will finally reveal the context of Chris Harrison's much-hyped statement to Clare that she's "blown up the Bachelorette," which has played so often in Bachelorette promos that I think it qualifies as Clare's version of Colton Underwood jumping the fence during his season of The Bachelor. Before the end of next week's episode, The Bachelorette will reportedly make the long-expected switch from Clare Crawley to Tayshia Adams.

It's not clear at this point how much of Tayshia will be featured in the upcoming episode. Clare already seems pretty fixed on Dale, so I'm not sure how much longer the rest of the guys will stand for her clear preference. That's not to say that I'm expecting Tayshia's first rose ceremony to happen next week, but it's entirely possible that things will move quickly as Clare's time on the show comes to an end. Then again, this season has been pretty unpredictable from the start, so who knows? Even Reality Steve has been wrong before.

The Bachelorette is missing its usual Tuesday night release next week due to the 2020 election coverage that will dominate the network TV lineup on November 3, but ABC will still release a new episode. There has been so much confusion and mystery surrounding Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette, that fans are already well aware of the nutty time which is (supposedly) yet to come as we watch her try to find love on national television. But, as the episodes continue to roll out every week, many of us have begun to pick apart everything we see and hear to try and divine the truth from the intriguing situations which have been presented to us. But, because of that, one Bachelorette fan has just apologized to Clare for a wild reason.

If you're keeping up with The Bachelorette, you might remember a moment from this week, where Clare was having some alone time conversation with Chasen Nick. When he shared that his younger years were like that of a hermit crab because he was alone all the time, Clare responded by noting that she never went to her high school prom, and no one asked her, adding, "Nobody even knew who I was in high school. I was just invisible, I think. I felt invisible."

Well, a fan thought she had the inside details on this way-back story of Clare's, and took to social media with a yearbook photo of her now-husband and Clare at a high school dance, claiming that her husband actually took the reality star to prom. After a quick and fierce rebuttal from Clare, though, that fan has now publicly apologized on Instagram (via Us Weekly), saying:

I'm sure Clare appreciates the apology, especially considering how short and to the point it is. She probably also enjoys the fact that this fan made an effort to address one of her main points of contention with the original claim that Clare was lying about her high school experience, which our Bachelorette talked about when she replied to that first post to defend herself:

Basically, this quick-to-judge member of Bachelor Nation has realized and admitted that just because her husband is in an official school dance picture with Clare, that doesn't mean that he took her to prom, just some other high school dance, of which there tend to be many at your typical school.

I don't say this often, mostly because I generally don't get a chance to, but it's nice to have some dust stirred up in Bachelor Nation, and not have it turn into a big, depressing deal. Someone realized the error of their ways and made amends without the immediate threat of personal cancellation, you guys. This sounds like a great time to celebrate with the adult beverage of your choice, while mulling over what might happen next on The Bachelorette!

I don't know about you, Bachelor Nation, but as I'm still decompressing and trying to wrap my head around the bonkers events of this week's episode of Clare Crawley's Season 16 of The Bachelorette, I had not been expecting too much word on the (probable) current romance between our leading lady and Dale Moss. So, I was pretty surprised when my attention was drawn to a recent social media post of Clare's which has many wondering if her diamond ring explanation actually means bad news for her future with Dale.

Here's what's been going on. So, you know how we've all heard that Clare quit her season after becoming so besotted with Dale that she didn't see the need to keep trying out the other dudes lined up for her? OK, good. Then, you'll also know that there are rumors that she and Dale have actually already gotten engaged, after only knowing each other for a few weeks. Apparently, though, some fans have noticed that Clare is wearing a random diamond ring on her wedding finger, having seen it in her recent interviews for her season.

And, as the denizens of Bachelor Nation are wont to do, they've been inquiring about said ring. Well, Clare has finally offered an explanation for it on Instagram, so let's take a look at what she said, and discuss what this could mean below:

Alright. I mean, at first glance that sounds simple enough, right? Here's the issue, though. If Clare is currently wearing this diamond ring as a symbol of self-love, and still rocking the rocks on her wedding finger, does that just mean that she and Dale haven't actually gotten engaged yet, or is the engagement off and there's some trouble brewing in paradise?

Well, let's start with the most obvious possibility for why Clare is still sporting her self-love sparkler. It is entirely possible that Clare and Dale are still together, but the rumors are erroneous, and they haven't gotten engaged just yet. Let's not forget that The Bachelorette is already on a very speedy timeline for people to fall in love and become engaged, so maybe, after leaving the show, they (wisely, I believe) decided to slow stuff down a bit and simply continue getting to know one another.

We've seen that Clare likes to have a lot of super deep conversations, and those can all hardly be had in a few weeks time. You also likely wouldn't want all of your time together to be emotional and heavy, so these two might just be spreading things out and waiting to formalize their future.

I tend to think that there's not been a complete breakdown of the relationship right now, which leads to the other potential reasoning behind Clare keeping this ring: she's trying to hide her engagement. Doesn't this make a ton of sense? Consider how this whole season has been handled, folks. They still refuse to acknowledge that Tayshia Adams has been said to take over as Bachelorette once Clare leaves. Do you really think Clare would wear her Neil Lane engagement ring right now, and give away that bombshell before the producers say it's OK? OF COURSE NOT. If these two are already engaged (or take that step at any point while the season airs), that will 100% be officially announced on the show.

Look, I don't believe we need to worry about Clare and Dale any more than we might already be doing so. They're probably still figuring things out. But, you guys, this whole season / pre-season has been wackadoodle, so truly any reality could be possible right now, and we all need to keep that in mind. Spoilers ahead for the second episode of Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette on ABC.

Only two episodes of Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette have aired so far, but the drama is so intense that it feels like Clare has spent much more time with her batch of men than she has. The guys were split up for some group dates in the second episode, and it's the game of dodgeball that has me wondering if The Bachelorette has already gone too far. Why? Because it was strip dodgeball, with real dodgeballs!

Ten men were split up into two teams of red and blue, and it was all set to be a traditional game of dodgeball before Clare (who has a weird regret from her season) announced that she was upping the ante and turning it into a strip game. More than one of the guys were visibly unhappy abut the situation, and the losing team wound up in nothing but jockstraps at most.

The losers had to go back to hang out with all the other guys without getting their clothes back, and rule-breaker Blake Moynes was upset enough that he went rogue and pulled Clare away from the winners for a chat. Later, Yosef Aborady said that the strip dodgeball game was "classless" and he never would have done it.

Admittedly, Yosef is seemingly being set up as the villain of Clare's brief time as leading lady of The Bachelorette, so viewers are probably expected to side with Clare over him. Still, I can't blame him or any of the other guys for being uncomfortable with the strip dodgeball, because I can't help but imagine a scenario of The Bachelor and Bachelorette being switched and ten women were asked to play strip dodgeball.

I can't picture Bachelor Nation actually asking or expecting the women to do it, so it strikes me as a step too far to ask the guys to do it. Sure, the ladies of Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor had to wear nightgowns -- some skimpier than others -- for some extreme pillow fighting, but the five guys who lost the game of dodgeball had to be blurred from the waist down for extended periods of the episode.

And as somebody whose gym teachers didn't allow those real rubber balls for games of dodgeball in school because of how hard they are, I have to believe that a rough game of dodgeball with barely any clothes on was painful! The guys weren't just gently tossing the hard rubber balls at each other, and I'm guessing that some of them were black and blue by the next morning.

With strip dodgeball happening in the same episode that saw Clare focusing her efforts on Dale Moss (and the other guys definitely noticing), Clare getting upset with the guys for not immediately trying to pull her aside to woo her, and everything happening at a furious pace, I'm just not as big of a fan of Clare as Bachelorette leading lady as I wish I was.

None of this is to say that I won't be 100% Team Claire when one of her guys (who seems to be Yosef at this point) makes a crude crack about her age before the switcheroo sees Tayshia Adams take over the search for love, but the strip dodgeball just rubbed me the wrong way. I'd hate to see The Bachelor put the women in that position, so I can't love to see The Bachelorette do it to the men, especially when it had to hurt.

Well, we're finally in the thick of things with Clare Crawley's Season 16 of The Bachelorette, aren't we Bachelor Nation? Last week's premiere didn't give us many clues of the (possible) major drama to come, but we definitely saw, without a doubt, that Clare was more than taken with Dale Moss and very interested in figuring out her own way through this process of finding love on national TV. The second episode is coming up tonight, so we're going to take a look at what the new installment might have in store for us with the second rose ceremony, some contestant conflict and more!

Alright, let's get going with some tidbits about what Clare and her suitors will be doing tonight. As you may have imagined, we are now in full-on dating time for Clare and her men. This means we'll get to see some adventurous Palm Springs resort dates on this fine night, and, according to Reality Steve, Episode 2 will bring us two group dates. Based on what I've seen of photos from this episode, one appears to be theatrical and touchy-feely in nature, while the other is sporty and seems to be the one shockingly teased last week, which could include some perfectly placed black boxes.

It also sounds like Clare will be headed out for her first one-on-one date with Jason Foster, who, I believe, was the guy from night one who talked to Clare about his desire to just live outdoors. Now, here's a big bit of info from tonight's outing. You know how we generally get a rose ceremony at the end of every episode? Well, we can count ourselves out of that treat for this evening. There's no word on whether or not Clare actually cancelled the rose ceremony (as was rumored to have happened on several occasions) and had to be persuaded to have it, or if producers simply decided to hold off on airing it until the beginning of the next episode. So, we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Along with that potential news, you might remember that it was originally thought that Clare would be leading the rose charge this season for four episodes, with Tayshia Adams then (we think) coming in as our new Bachelorette. But, Steve believes that the lack of a rose ceremony tonight means that the Clare drama will now continue for at least an additional week, with Clare sticking around for five episodes.

Now, on to that contestant conflict! Most of the teasers for the season have included a scene of Clare giving one of her guys a fierce telling-off, and that man is supposedly Yosef Aborady. It looks, though, like we will have to wait to see exactly what leads to all of that messiness, because it's not due to air tonight, either. Reality Steve believes that argument will start off Episode 3 (remember, Yosef gets kicked out before Clare hands out any additional roses), with the second rose ceremony to air some time after.

And, last but not least, we've also been treated to promos which appear to show some of the guys mumbling about how Dale isn't who Clare thinks he is. While this might actually be true, Steve sees those snippets as more of The Bachelorette's patented creative editing, with the negative things being said not really being said about Dale. He also thinks that the guys knew from the get-go that Dale was Clare's favorite, so any pushback he gets from them will be pretty standard, and not because of anything particular he says or does. Phew!

One might assume that there would be many things which Clare Crawley, (current) lead of the most talked about Bachelorette season ever, would look at from her time on the show and regret. Wading through quarantine just to stick with filming her Season 16 while stuck in one location, could make that list. As might (potentially) leaving her season only 12 days into said filming to head off into the sweaty sunset with Dale Moss, before giving her other suitors much of a chance to connect with her. Apparently, though, Clare actually has a truly weird regret from her season.

Now that we've finally gotten our first look at Clare on The Bachelorette with last week's premiere, she's been doing the rounds of press to talk about all of the rumors regarding her season. While appearing on Daily Pop recently, Clare was asked to open up about any regrets she has because of the decisions she made during filming, and even though she said nothing came to mind at first, she did cop to one oddball regret. Most of us may not have been through a wild experience like The Bachelorette, but I still think several of us can understand this. According to Clare:

Well, golly. Who among us has not regretted eating too damn many chicken nuggets? Or, too many cookies, slices of pizza, nachos, hell, even ingesting too many carrots could lead to second thoughts about one's decision-making powers. The chances of chowing down on too much of literally anything are basically endless! Unless you've never been tempted by any food, you will certainly feel Clare's pain on this front.

Of course, the much bigger story regarding temptation and Clare's time as Bachelorette is her hotly rumored romance with Dale. The widely held assumption is that she quit filming (or was persuaded to leave) after her intense and immediate attraction to Dale became overwhelming and left the previously lovelorn lady too struck dumb by desire to continue even considering the other men cast for her season. We've been told that producers then brought in Tayshia Adams (from Colton Underwood's 2019 Bachelor season and that year's Bachelor in Paradise) to take over rose-giving duties.

Now, even though these are what the reports claim happened, no one behind the show has confirmed it, and, much to the chagrin of fans everywhere, we've yet to see or hear Tayshia in an official promo for this season. Meaning, obviously, that all of it could be true or just some of it, and we still don't have a clear picture of how any of these potential shockers might go down on the show.

We're also hearing that Clare and Dale did actually get engaged (even though they'd only been face to face for a few days at that point), so who really knows what could be coming down the pike? My guess is that we can at least count out a future wedding dinner featuring chicken nuggets, unless Clare and Dale decide to get real cute with their (implied) future nuptials.

The sixteenth season of The Bachelorette starring Clare Crawley (for now) launched with an episode that proved quarantining didn't stop the men from bringing some drama into the La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs, and Clare seemingly fell head-over-heels at first sight with one gent, but her conversation with the man who already broke the rules was a standout of the episode.

Clare revealed that 29-year-old wildlife manager Blake Moynes from Ontario, Canada actually contacted her before coming on the show, opening a line of communication when that isn't supposed to happen ahead of seasons in Bachelor Nation. She shared that Blake messaged her "a couple months back" when she was "struggling really bad" because her mom had fallen and broken her nose. It was a risky move from Blake, and Clare had a conversation with him about breaking the rules.

Blake looked more than a little apprehensive when Clare started, and it's hard to blame him based on her first few sentences. Clare shared:

Breaking the rules in general might not be the best idea in Bachelor Nation, and doing anything for "the wrong reasons" is a surefire way to make a mess, but Clare didn't hold back in expressing how much Blake reaching out meant to her in her difficult time. The quarantine (which was long enough that The Bachelorette ran the risk of losing some of the men vying for Clare's heart) wasn't all quiet on the bachelor front for Clare, and she was happy about it.

According to Clare, Blake's instinct to make a risky move wasn't good just in this one instance. She continued her heartfelt speech to Blake, saying:

Unfortunately for Blake, his reaching out may have meant everything to Clare, and it may have gotten him the first kisses of Clare's season, but he didn't receive the first impression rose. That honor (unsurprisingly) went to 31-year-old former football player Dale Moss, who had Clare swooning and imagining him as her husband almost as soon as he stepped out of the limo.

Even if all signs didn't point toward Clare running off into the sunset with Dale, he definitely earned that first impression rose. Clare practically had the vapors after a quick introduction! She of course had to send some guys home before the end of the episode, and she simplified things for Bachelor Nation fans by eliminating Season 16's Tyler C. and sparing us a season of confusing him with Hannah Brown's former suitor Tyler Cameron!

Oh. My. GOODNESS. It has taken forever, but, Bachelor Nation, we are finally standing on the brink of Season 16 of The Bachelorette! Tonight will see Clare Crawley (but probably not Tayshia Adams) begin her selection process among the 31 men chosen to be a part of her coterie. Now, we've all heard the rumors by now about the biggest of the events which has been said to go down during this season, but what about everything else? Where are the spoilers? Not to worry, fans, we've got word on how long Clare will be sticking around the Bachelor...resort, who she eliminates and more!

With all of the waiting and rumors and other things which have been so confusing and up-in-the-air about the soon to air season of The Bachelorette, it can be hard to know what info to trust. ABC certainly hasn't loosened its metaphorical lips any, especially with regards to Tayshia, Clare or the potential Dale Moss of it all, so let's turn to Reality Steve and see what he has to say about Season 16. Shall we start with when (and who) Clare kicks some of her dudes to the curb? Let's do!

OK, so, Clare begins her season (Tonight!) with 31 men to choose from. As usual, she has her first rose ceremony not long after meeting everyone and cocktail partying it up for the first time. According to Steve, on night one, Clare eliminated seven of her 31 guys. Take a look at the list, and see if any of your early favorites were among the doomed:

Oooh. OK, in this grouping are the oldest contestant ever to grace any Bachelor franchise show in 40-year-old banker Jeremy Higgins, six-foot-eight-inch Jordan Manier, and Robby Stahl, who's said to have been recommended to the show by former Bachelor Nick Viall. And, you know what? While there were certainly some cuties in this particular group, I'm just going to go ahead and trust Clare's instincts and assume she cut out the correct guys on the first night.

Now, here's some more big, spoilery information. You know how we had no idea how long Clare would be around on this season before she (probably) abandons everyone for Dale? Well, Steve tells us that she actually managed to stick with the rose-giving for long enough to have two additional rose ceremonies, meaning that we'll likely see her in a total of four episodes. So, who else did Ms. Crawley mercilessly cut before attaching herself to Mr. Moss? Across her two final rose ceremonies, Clare cut another seven men:

Again, this is a good looking group, but Clare wasn't feeling it with any of them; not even a little bit. It should be noted, though, that (technically) Yosef Aborady is told to hit bricks before a rose ceremony. We've seen snippets of Clare chewing someone out during a few of the promos for this season, and it's believed that said dude is Yosef. While we can't be sure how much of what he said to Clare will be shown, Reality Steve reports that he was an all-around ass to Clare, going so far as to call her names and be generally rude. And, this was because of a group date he wasn't even a part of. Good riddance!

Wow. Guys? It's almost here! After waiting for many long months and dealing with one unexpected delay after another, we are finally just a few days away from the Season 16 premiere of The Bachelorette! As I'm sure absolutely all of Bachelor Nation has heard by now, not only will the new season be giving franchise veteran Clare Crawley her fifth chance at finding her forever love on television, but (reportedly) Tayshia Adams will also (supposedly) be stepping in to take over the Bachelorette reins once Clare (allegedly) discovers the hot man for her among all of the suitors chosen for this season.

If you've been paying any attention at all to news about The Bachelorette lately, then you know that there seems to be a lot of upheaval which went on when they finally had the opportunity to film Season 16. If you're like me (and former Bachelor Nick Viall, for that matter) you probably have a ton of questions about what we're actually going to see when the show premieres on Tuesday, October 13. So, let's go ahead and break down the six major questions we still have about Clare Crawley's and Tayshia Adams' Season 16 of The Bachelorette!

Is ABC Really Never Going To Confirm That Tayshia Is Also The Bachelorette In Season 16?

Well, this is a sticky wicket for those who work behind the scenes on The Bachelorette. What we've all heard is that Clare managed to actually, totally fall in love with one of her suitors, Dale Moss, only about 12 days into filming. While reports differ on just how much chaos that caused with the filming of the show (Reality Steve believes that production was very much ready for Clare and Dale to be so into each other that they'd want to ride off together early on), the information that's been rolling around since then is that Tayshia was called in to take over as rose-giver.

The problem, of course, is that no one behind The Bachelorette, and no one at ABC has ever bothered to confirm that Tayshia is even on the show this season. Not even Chris Harrison would cop to what we've all heard is true: Tayshia is also our Season 16 Bachelorette. On one hand, if all of this really did happen, it would be the biggest thing that's ever been seen on a Bachelor show, so I get that they want to hold on to the surprise. At the same time, we've had so many reports come out and say it's true, that withholding the Tayshia info seems silly now, and has actually angered lots of fans. But, seeing as how the premiere is this week, I expect them to hold on until we actually see our second black Bachelorette on screen.

Did Clare Really Abandon The Bachelorette Days Into Filming?

As I mentioned earlier, no one who's officially in the know about this season has gone on record to say that any of the reports are true. Right now fans are left with a big ol' rumor when it comes to what goes down in Season 16. But, the reports which leaked out at the beginning of August did, in fact, say that Clare quit the show, after becoming a bit difficult by cancelling cocktail parties, dates and the like, apparently because she was already super hot to trot for Dale.

Here's the wrinkle: not only do we not know whether or not this season will be completely filled with Clare, we also don't know if she really quit. Reality Steve has gotten intel on this season which led him to believe that production had enough conversations with Clare before filming to know she'd probably want to back out early into filming, because of Dale. As such, they had Tayshia at the Palm Springs resort where they filmed, all quarantined and ready to go when it became clear that the Clare / Dale love train was eager to leave the station. Then, the producers sat Clare down, and suggested that she just leave, so that they could get her out of the way. I truly cannot wait to see if any of this ends up on screen.

Is Clare Really In Love With Dale Moss?

Well, like, what is love, anyway, you guys? In all seriousness, since all of the rumors began that Clare left The Bachelorette because she'd gotten all hot-in-the-pants for one of her suitors, the only name we've heard as said love object has been Dale Moss. I'm going to guess that, whatever truly happens when we have a chance to set our sights on the season, it will (at the very least) become supremely clear, supremely early on, that Clare and Dale only have eyes (and other assorted body parts) for each other.

Now, this does beg another very much related question. Are Clare and Dale really in love, or were they just so into each other and Clare so determined to spend as much time with the former football player as possible that leaving to try a relationship simply felt like a better option? There are several reports which say the duo is already engaged. Either way, it's hard not to wish these two crazy kids the best of luck, because we all know that couples from this franchise rarely last for very long. If Dale has already popped the question, I sure hope they have a looooooong engagement, and that it helps them see their romance as clearly as can be.

How Long Will Clare Be Shown On The Bachelorette Season 16?

I am so very confused about this one, and have high hopes for the answer to go the way I want, which would be that we get maybe two episodes with Clare and then Tayshia comes on the scene. Right now, of course, we don't know how this is going to go. We could get two episodes of Clare drama, have Tayshia arrive and take over, but then have Clare and Dale stick around so that our elder stateswoman of Bachelor Nation can tutor Tayshia on handing out roses and dating 50,000 dudes at once.

Another option is that we continue to see Clare and Dale, and get to watch more of their love story unfold without the distraction of... anything, really. You know, because they'd still be stuck at the resort in Palm Springs and without any contact with the outside world. It would be interesting to see how they relate to each other without the usual Bachelorette shenanigans, but, at the same time, it would pull focus from Tayshia. And, if she's the new lead, the show needs to let her be the lead and not spend any significant time on Dare. (Dale and Clare, get it?)

Does Tayshia Get A Full Season's Worth Of The Bachelorette Episodes?

Again, ABC is committed to pretending that Tayshia has nothing to do with Season 16, but does that mean all of the clips of Clare we've seen happen in two episodes, or is there more of her? Even if we do only get two weeks of Dare, Tayshia would now be cheated out of two weeks of air time, correct?

My sincerest hope is that we get an extra episode or two to help fill in the blanks. Tayshia deserves a full Bachelorette season in which to recover from the John Paul Jones of it all. This really shouldn't be hard to do, either, because there is hardly anything on television right now. If the people at ABC can't make room for four extra hours of Tayshia this fall, they're not even trying.

Will Tayshia Have To Date Clare's Cast-offs?

OK, people. I don't like this idea one teensy little bit, but, is Tayshia really going to have to date all of the men left over after Dare takes its bow and rides off into the sweaty Palm Springs sunset? Even though, at some point, everyone in Bachelor Nation has dated someone's leftovers, for some reason I find this unbelievably icky. What if there are guys who are actually there to try and woo Clare? Will they stick around once she leaves and give Tayshia a shot? And, if so, should she really want them to?

What about the fact that Clare certainly had time to send at least a few guys home? Are they going to bring the roseless back for Tayshia? Does she get some all-new men to replace the ones Clare kicked to the curb? I have so many questions, folks. Here's one more: Is it October 13 yet?

Luckily, we no longer have much time between us and The Bachelorette answers we so desire, as the show starts (on a new night) next Tuesday, October 13 at 8 p.m. EST.

Well, would you look at that? After a delay of several (excruciating) months, we are actually, really, nearing the start of The Bachelorette Season 16. Even though Clare Crawley's time as head rose-giver was besieged by unforeseen difficulties from the very beginning, no one could have predicted the massive rumor which would come about just a few days after filming was finally able to get underway. Oh, have you not heard? Apparently, Clare fell in love almost immediately, and Tayshia Adams will take up her Bachelorette mantle. What we heard when this report first came out was that Clare's decision threw production into disarray, but was the show actually more prepared for the switch than we thought?

While it would make total sense to most of Bachelor Nation that Clare deciding to abandon her post a mere 12 days into filming (after such a long delay and many other worldwide health crisis-related obstacles had to be overcome) would, indeed, lead to a massive shakeup which caught the producers way off guard, we're hearing that this simply isn't the case. According to spoiler guru Reality Steve, not only were those behind the show not surprised when Clare and suitor Dale Moss began falling in love super early in the process, but they already had a plan in place for when that affection became obvious.

While we don't have all the details yet on how the switch from Clare as lead to Tayshia's Bachelorette time will go down, Reality Steve is saying that none of those murmurs we heard (back when reports first came out that Clare wasn't going to be the lead for very long) are true. We'd heard that Clare quickly became a problem once she and Dale were brought together on the show; refusing to film, cancelling dates and cocktail parties, and then quitting the show altogether to be with her newfound love.

Instead, Steve's intel says that while Clare did check her potential suitors out online during the long break before filming, she and Dale didn't have any actual virtual or in-person contact (not even texting) before the show began to film. But, she was already pretty hot on the model / former football player by then, and had Dale in her mind as a potential front-runner. When the cameras actually started to roll on Season 16, apparently there was no way to hide the attraction between both of them, and luckily, the producers already had a plan.

Apparently, producers had had enough conversations with Clare throughout the break to know that she had the tingles for Dale before filming began, and figured that she wouldn't be extremely keen to continue after meeting and talking to him for a bit. So, what did they do? According to Steve, they made sure Tayshia was prepared to come in and take over, settling on the new Bachelorette before they even started filming.

Reality Steve points out that, at no point, did The Bachelorette stop filming once things got going. This seems to mean that they were more than ready for the switch way ahead of time. He also notes that Tayshia was taken to the Palm Springs resort where they shot the season just nine days into filming, and she was quarantining there as Clare was still going on dates. He asserts that the producers were already worried about Season 16 being boring because of the single location, and when it became clear that Dale and Clare would fall for each other they just went ahead and worked Tayshia into the production schedule ASAP.

And, here's the real kicker to all of this. Steve's information also says that Clare didn't even really quit the season. I know! He believes (or has a scoop which has led him to believe) that the producers are the ones who set off the whole process of Clare leaving. They went to her after it was apparent that she and Dale were hitting it off in person and presented her with the opportunity to leave The Bachelorette behind so that they could pass the torch to Tayshia, who was happily waiting in the wings.

I really don't know what to make of all this, but I can certainly see the producers worrying about how exciting the season would be without all of their usual jet-setting. When you add in their supposed knowledge of Clare and Dale's pre-show feelings for each other, and how that (apparently) manifested so clearly when they were filming, it makes sense that they would have had a plan in place should they feel the show stalled in the "most dramatic season ever" department.

It's incredibly unlikely that anyone behind the show will publicly confirm any of this, and we certainly don't know if any of these behind-the-scenes shenanigans will show up on screen, but it is fascinating to consider, right? And, we can all see how this plays out on camera when The Bachelorette premieres, Tuesday, October 13 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.

Alright, Bachelor Nation. After many, many unexpected months of waiting for Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette to finally begin airing, we are almost at the start date. Obviously, there are surprises aplenty in store for us (cough Tayshia Adams cough), but one thing we don't know about what's to come is just how the show managed to handle COVID-19 testing and the rest of its pandemic prepping. Now, though, we have an answer for you, as host with the most Chris Harrison has confirmed that the show won't ignore the current realities of the world.

As we all wait to see exactly how Clare will find love (and how Tayshia will take over for her own search), one of the biggest factors for Season 16 of The Bachelorette will, of course, be our current health crisis. The show was forced to shut down for months, just like every other production, back in March, but it had to do so on the very day it was set to start filming. As the producers worked on a plan to get things up and running again, one of the necessities was figuring out how to make sure the entire cast and crew were tested and healthy for the duration of filming.

Chris Harrison spoke with E! recently to talk about the new season of The Bachelorette, and revealed that fans will see what the process was like for Clare and her men, when it came time to film in this year's Bachelorette Bubble:

Honestly, this is a pretty solid idea. While everyone who tunes in for Season 16 of The Bachelorette will be looking to escape daily life at least a little bit, if the biggest component of 2020 didn't come up here and there it would seem odd. I'm sure there will be some conversations among Clare, Chris Harrison, and her suitors about this year and the future, so the production might as well show us how they got everyone quarantined and checked out to make sure they were all healthy and ready to possibly swap spit on screen.

Having said that, though, there's already a lot going on this season, so I hope they don't spend too much time showing us testing and the like.

As most fans know by now, there had to be several unexpected changes made so that The Bachelorette could resume operations several weeks ago. Production had to abandon the Bachelor Mansion, and instead opted to buy out a Palm Springs, California resort for filming, so that they could ensure all of the cast and crew would be able to stay virus free for the many weeks of work which were ahead. They also needed to make sure that there were a variety of locations / activities for all of the dates, rose ceremonies and cocktail parties, seeing as how they obviously couldn't travel internationally or even within the U.S. safely.

This strict quarantine process led to a bit of a fan uproar when Chris Harrison, who has hosted roughly 9 million hours of Bachelor Nation content since the franchise began in 2002, was replaced for a few weeks. In mid-August, he left the (apparently very secure and healthy) Bachelorette Bubble to take one of his sons to college in Texas, and when he returned had to quarantine again for several days before he was allowed to roam freely about the resort and resume his hostly duties.

Luckily, filming for the show was able to be completed without any health related hitches, so even though we had a super long wait, we should still get all of the longing glances, smoochy-faces, groping, hot tub dates, drama and shocking reveals that we usually do. In fact, the process worked so well that Harrison even confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that they will be filming Matt James' Season 25 of The Bachelor in the same way, with the cast and crew reportedly filming from the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Pennsylvania. About the new season, Harrison said:

I really like the sound of that! We need at least one of these pandemic seasons to have a makeout session among a lush outdoor location, and I will absolutely die if there's somehow a waterfall under which Matt can kiss one of his ladies. Season 16 of The Bachelorette comes to ABC on a new night, Tuesdays, beginning on October 13 at 8 p.m. EST, while The Bachelor with Matt James is still expected to land on the network sometime in January 2021. Man, alive, Bachelor Nation. When we were coming toward of the end of Peter Weber's messy as all hell season of The Bachelor, did any of you expect that Clare Crawley's Season 16 of The Bachelorette would manage to be just as messy (if not even more so) while not even airing for much of the time it was talked about? True, a lot of the rumors, problems with production and the other issues stemmed from our pesky and enduring pandemic, but...still. Could Clare have gotten a worse season handed to her when she was chosen to lead the rose-giving festivities back before we all had many face masks to our names?

Well, the fact remains that there have been a ton of setbacks for Clare's 2020 season of The Bachelorette, and if you're looking to re-visit the long road to production on her (supposedly very short!) time as our new leading lady, we've got you covered. Let's take a trip back in time and get all the problems with Clare's season straight, shall we? Let's get started with the obvious, that fateful day when she was confirmed as the new lead on her first solo journey toward finding the love of her life...

The Bachelorette Begins Dumping Clare's Men!

March 2: The problems started quite early for Clare's season. Even before she was officially announced to be our new lead, there were plenty of fans who complained about the fact that Clare (who was 38 at the time) was so much older than the typical female contestant or lead. The show seemed to have responded to the wide-ranging complaint that the women on Peter's season were just too immature to lead the next season of The Bachelorette, so they went into the Bachelor Nation archives to give us Clare, who'd already been on four previous seasons to find love, and hadn't been seen on screen at all since 2018.

But, her casting did immediately bring another problem. The producers are constantly picking people out who they think will be right for each season, but with Clare being so much older than the typical lead, the guys they had already cast were suddenly looking a bit too...short in the tooth. (Fine. I know people don't say that, but I'm trying to innovate here, OK?) Clearly they didn't have a firm handle on who they wanted as lead when they started the casting process for Clare's season, so some of the younger dudes had to go. Though, this would not be the last time this happened, but we'll get into that more later on.

The Bachelorette Is Postponed!

March 13: This date brought fans their first big blow where Season 16 of The Bachelorette was concerned, as our enduring health crisis had already gotten scary enough that the season needed to be delayed. We had been hearing rumors of how the producers were trying to figure out the best way to film, seeing as how many foreign countries were already entering lockdown in the weeks leading up to this very important day in the history of the franchise. There had, by the beginning of March, been talk of them not traveling internationally to keep everyone safe, but, as we know now, the production had to go way beyond that.

What made this even more difficult (and would, in turn, possibly lead to another issue, which we will get to later) is that Clare, all the men chosen for her season, and the entire crew, were already at the Bachelor Mansion and set to begin having Clare date her face off for all of us to watch. So, everyone literally had to be sent home to quarantine, without being able to film a single shot.

Clare's Men Are In Jeopardy!

March 18: Well, here we go! This was our first clue that even the men who'd been chosen for Clare's season and officially revealed by the show would be very likely to change again before filming had a chance to start. By this time, it was becoming pretty clear that quarantine wouldn't last for just a couple of weeks. So, one big issue that was now facing production was whether or not the 25 to 30 men who'd been cast for Clare kiss would all be able to drop everything once production started back up.

Sure, they may have all been eager to meet Clare, get to know her, and try to get some sweet social media influencer deals out of it...I mean, get some sweet long-term love out of being on the show, but having to face down a pandemic to do it was going to be a tall order for some people. The idea that all of them would still be on board (or logistically be able to) after a few months of quarantine was going to be a longshot. This isn't exactly why they cast for these shows all year round, but I'm sure it helped producers to rebound quickly, and some gentlemen were recast by July 22.

This Is How You Film The Bachelorette During An International Health Crisis!

April 9: The world wasn't exactly chugging along easily by early April, but Bachelorette producers were doing some creative thinking with regards to getting the franchise back on track. And, while what they came up with was before any official guidelines for filming came down in most countries, they should feel good in knowing that they were thinking of the right kind of solutions, because most of their plans were implemented.

It was obvious that they wouldn't be able to bust through shelter-in-place orders, so the producers came up with an ingenious plan: film the entire season in one place! They ended up renting out the La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs, California, so that the entire location is filled only with those in The Bachelorette cast and crew as they film. All of the dates and rose ceremonies are being filmed on the property, and if someone has to leave the premises for any reason (like host Chris Harrison did not long ago) they need to undergo another quarantine before being allowed to roam about the property.

Wait... Clare Quit The Bachelorette?!?!

August 3: This is it, guys, the big problem that has shaken Bachelor Nation to its very core for weeks now. By the beginning of August, it was being reported that Clare had actually, truly done something that no other lead had ever done...quit her season during filming! Not only that, but Clare quit a mere two weeks into filming. While this still hasn't been confirmed by ABC or the production (we'll get to that in a bit), the rumor is that our lead actually managed to find love, or what was love-adjacent enough that she felt like she was wasting everyone's time by dating all the other dudes who'd been cast.

Now, remember earlier when I said that sending everyone home after they'd already been in the Mansion and all the dudes officially announced would cause another problem? Well, this is (reportedly) it. See, usually once you're set to film, the producers have taken your phone and other electronics away, and you can't just sit around in whatever free time you have Googling everyone. Well, not all of the men were recast for Clare's season, and it's thought that when they all got sent home, Clare and at least one of her men were able to find each other online and start chatting. This means that they "cheated," and got to know each other away from the cameras. Again, though, producers rebounded quickly, casting Tayshia Adams to be the new lead.

Fans Appear To Be DONE With Clare's Bachelorette Season

August 27: This is our final problem with Clare / Tayshia's season, and it could be a big one. After a loooong wait to get some official promos where we saw Clare as The Bachelorette, late August finally brought them to us. But, instead of seeing fans get all excited about the first look on social media, there was a lot of annoyance about pretty much everything dealing with the upcoming season and the promo shot itself.

Fans were very irritated by the fact that the show still won't confirm that Tayshia is involved, and she was nowhere to be found in the promo shot. They were also annoyed by Clare's clothing, the October 13 release date, and super displeased with the nod to the classic film The Graduate which the promo was styled after. For whatever reasons, The Bachelorette never does as well in the ratings as The Bachelor anyway, but I have a bad feeling that all of this ill will could sink Season 16, unless something truly crazy happens on camera that literally no one is expecting.

So, we've only got until October 13 to see what happens with Clare and Tayshia's Season 16 of The Bachelorette, and to see if even more problems manage to arise before then. In the meantime, you can see what else is coming up on the small screen with our fall TV premiere schedule!

I don't think there's currently a single fan in Bachelor Nation who doesn't feel a bit at sea right now. The Bachelorette was due to be way past done airing by this point in the year, and we should have been nearing the end of another beach-side season of Bachelor in Paradise, but the pandemic had other plans. Along with the standard slate of shows getting pushed back or cancelled, we are also now dealing with a lot of questions regarding the state of Clare Crawley's time as our leading lady, and former star of The Bachelor, Nick Viall, is among those many with "so many questions" about the whole thing.

Even though Nick Viall was considered to be one of the franchise villains for a bit, he's now been a member in good standing with Bachelor Nation for enough time that fans trust his opinion about the rumors and many happenings in the franchise. So, it's pretty cool to hear that Viall is really just like the rest of us in being confused about how everything is going to go down on Clare's upcoming Season 16 of The Bachelorette, especially considering that no one behind the show or the network has confirmed that she quit during filming and will be replaced by Tayshia Adams during the season.

So, just what does Nick think about all the talk surrounding Clare, Tayshia and the new season of The Bachelorette? Here's what he told Entertainment Tonight, and I think lots of fans will echo his sentiments:

Well, he ain't kidding that there are truly a lot of questions that fans want answers to right now. When reports came out in early August that Clare quit her season just a couple of weeks into filming, it was said that she had actually fallen in love with one of her suitors and decided to become engaged to him instead of just seeing how things would play out with the other dudes cast for her. We were also told that Tayshia was plucked from the pool of Bachelor also-rans (she was on Colton Underwood's 2019 season, as well as BIP last year) to take over.

As I mentioned, though, none of this has been confirmed. And, while I understand that the producers would want to hold on to as many surprises as possible for Season 16, this particular kissing cat appears to be out of the bag, so their insistence on pretending that none of this is happening, has (understandably) annoyed a lot of fans.

As you can imagine, because no one connected to the show is acknowledging the Clare / Tayshia switch, we don't know anything else about how this season will play out. Will Clare get two full-sized episodes of her own before riding off into the newly-engaged sunset? Will Tayshia have to date Clare's recent rejects? Is Tayshia going to get a full season of dating and rose-giving on screen, or will she be obviously short-changed when it comes to screen time? Seeing as how Clare had to stay at the resort where they were forced to film this year (so as to not further spoil the twist), might she be seen past The Great Quitation on her love journey, or to give Tayshia advice?

All of these questions and more are swirling, because right now, we really have no way of knowing what to expect. From what Nick has heard so far, though, it sounds like Clare will be doing things her own way from the word go, while Tayshia will get to be a more traditional Bachelorette in a very non-traditional situation, so it will be intriguing to see how the two (potential) styles play in one season.

Well, Bachelor Nation, it's taken a looooong time, but we finally know that Season 16 of The Bachelorette will premiere on ABC on October 13. The season has, obviously, already seen a lot of delays, rumors, and behind the scenes controversies, making for a season that's managed to hit the news on an almost constant basis, even though it's only been filming for a short time. While it seems like the announcement of a release date should have set fans on fire (yes, in a good way), the show appears to have another problem on its figurative hands, because fans seem to be really annoyed by everything about The Bachelorette right now.

Don't get me wrong, during my three years in Bachelor Nation, fans have absolutely never lacked a wide number of things to be annoyed about with any of the shows. But, many of those things had to do with the actions of people on the shows as they aired, meaning that fans were still watching and engaged with The Bachelor, The Bachelorette or Bachelor in Paradise. When I checked Twitter to see how people were responding to the news that we'll finally see Clare Crawley's (reportedly very short) journey to love and a lot more time with (reported) back-up Bachelorette Tayshia Adams, fans seem really over it.

Instead of expressing excitement over the new season, fans are simply taking to social media to voice their concerns over several aspects of the new season. Starting with the fact that no one behind the show has officially confirmed that Tayshia will take over for Clare, meaning, as you might imagine, that Tayshia is no where to be found in any promos for Season 16...

In early August, pretty much every media outlet began reporting that Clare found love after only a couple of weeks of filming on this season and that Tayshia would pick up the rose-giving gauntlet, but, that's right, The Bachelorette has yet to confirm the news. It's pretty easy to see why the producers would want to hold off, and let the whole thing play out on TV, but when it looks so certain that we know what's going to happen (just not how, exactly) the silence can feel like they doubt the intelligence of the fans.

As mentioned above, this season has been plagued with the kind of problems that no other season has, and all of them stem from our pesky pandemic. First, production had to shut down on the very day in March that Season 16 was supposed to start shooting. Then, producers had to figure out how to safely film a dating show that usually travels to far flung locations and sees folks doing at least semi-horizontal adult things all the time.

Everyone involved in production, obviously, got sent home to quarantine, but this meant that Clare was able to investigate the men who'd been cast on her season, unlike any lead before, and this is probably what led to her very suddenly falling in love so soon into filming. Speaking of Clare falling in love, several of her dudes had to be recast (with some of them speaking out about it), either because they were no longer interested in doing the show in the coronatimes, or because they just couldn't take a chance on putting their lives on hold later in the year than originally planned (or, because they were way too young, anyway).

Clare also got a bit of negative attention early in the summer for appearing to shade one of her former suitors who'd been cast, by unfairly calling him out on social media. Who am I talking about? Well, it's none other than our new Bachelor, Matt James. As you know, Matt will take the reigns in 2021, and is going down in The Bachelor history books as the first black lead for that show. It was a ridiculously long time coming, and fans were already on his side because he's a good friend of Tyler Cameron's, so Clare giving him guff did not sit well with a lot of people.

In case you're wondering, fans are not just pissed that ABC is acting like Tayshia won't be a part of this season. They're also genuinely annoyed by that date announcement you see above. Everything from Clare's clothing to the "It's about time" slogan, to the rip-off of a famous scene from the classic film The Graduate has set fans on edge. And at least one person in particular seemed truly offended by the reference, and pointed out some hypocrisy in the franchise:

Ooooooh, boy. I don't know if I ever mentioned this in my (many) previous articles about Season 16 of The Bachelorette, but I've been thinking that, with all the problems leading up to and after starting to film, the producers might have really been better off just skipping this season and going straight to Matt in early 2021. Because, this sounds like the over-riding thought from Bachelor Nation on the upcoming Clare / Tayshia season...

Well, well, well. After a little over two years away from the screens of Bachelor Nation denizens, Clare Crawley is now getting another (possibly really successful!) shot at finding love by (temporarily?) leading The Bachelorette. After a veeeery long, pandemic-induced wait, Clare and her men are quarantined for the duration of filming in a fancy resort in Palm Springs, California, and we'll be able to see what surprises await her as she begins dating all of her dudes this fall. But, because Clare has been absent from the franchise for so long (in Bachelor franchise terms, anyway) you might be wondering just where Clare's journey began.

If that query describes something you've been thinking lately to a T, then you're in luck! We know the ins and outs of what Clare's been up to on each of her previous seasons of Bacheloriffic fun, and we're here to lay out the major details for you, so you know what she's been through during her time on The Bachelor, two runs on Bachelor in Paradise and Bachelor Winter Games. Here we go!

The Bachelor, Season 18 (2014) - Juan Pablo Galavis

I don't know if I will ever get over the fact that bunches of people sign up to try and date one person, as that person dates roughly 25 to 30 other people, but The Bachelor and The Bachelorette have not lost their appeal when it comes to potential suitors. And this is how we first met Clare, as a potential on Juan Pablo Galavis' 2014 season of The Bachelor. By all accounts, Juan Pablo's season was messy as hell, and he has managed to make the list of the few leads whom fans actually consider to be of the franchise's villains. And a lot of this had to do with the way he treated Clare.

She and Juan Problematico...I mean Pablo, hit it off early on so Clare felt completely cool heading to his hotel room in the wee hours of one morning and asking him to swim in the ocean with her. He agreed, and the two had non-fantasy suite sex while doing it. The next day, Juan Pablo told Clare he didn't want to set a bad example for his daughter and regretted it, leaving her confused. On top of that, on a later date when Clare basically begs him to say he loves her, he (apparently) whispers "I loved fucking you," instead. It took way too long, but Clare finally told Juan Pablo off after he dumped her at the final rose ceremony.

Bachelor In Paradise, Season 1 (2014) - Zack Kalter

Despite the very poor treatment she got on Juan Pablo's season, Clare headed to the sweaty Mexican beach which is now known for playing host to her fellow Bachelor and Bachelorette rejects for a summer of sun, sand and potentially more sex with the first season of Bachelor in Paradise. After spending a little bit of time with Robert Graham (who gave her his rose after week one), Clare found herself having a deeper (and more confusing) romance with Zack Kalter.

Unfortunately, Clare's time on the beach was also fraught with confrontations, especially since she was the focus of a lot of slut shaming-esque gossip from some of the other women because she had sex with Juan Pablo. Also, Zack kept going back and forth with her about wanting to be in a relationship with her. After fellow BIP beach-goer AshLee Frazier called Clare "cuckoo" while talking to Zack about her, and Clare found out, she decided she'd had enough and dramatically left Paradise.

Bachelor In Paradise, Season 2 (2015) - Jared Haibon

You'd think that after two of her shots at finding love on ABC ended so disappointingly that Clare would throw in the towel, but she was ready to try again the next year and headed back to BIP. After her week one tantric yoga date with Mikey Tenerelli (which she was originally none-too-pleased with) ended with Clare realizing he was a better dude than she first thought, Clare had some trouble settling in as others paired off. During the second week, she even told everyone that she thought people in Season 1 were more serious about finding love, which pissed off many of those who heard her speech, and she walked out during the rose ceremony, almost quitting.

Even still, Clare managed to find herself in the middle of a brief love triangle after accepting a date from Jared Haibon, after he'd previously gone on a date with (his now wife) Ashley Iaconetti. The eventual Mrs. Haibon was not happy about Clare swooping in and grabbing her man's attention, with Clare and Jared sailing to an island and bungee jumping. It didn't take long for the two to get into an argument, though, as Jared felt like being eight years Clare's junior might become an issue down the line if they kept dating. This led to Jared smooching with Ashley, and Clare's elimination coming during the Week 3 rose ceremony.

Bachelor Winter Games, Season 1 (2018) - Christian Rauch

Man, Clare just can't stay outta the love triangle business on these shows, can she? When Season 1 of Bachelor Winter Games rolled around in 2018, Clare started off with a strong connection to Benoit Beauséjour-Savard (more on him later), who was very much committed to her from the beginning. But, Clare was also taken with Christian Rauch, who also seemed to be into her. As you might imagine, Clare didn't have the easiest time making up her mind, and didn't feel much pressure to do so early in the season, even though Benoit really wanted her to choose him.

But, Clare had a dust up with Christian over a planned hot tub date, which turned into a deeper conversation about Clare being upset that Christian was upset about her feelings for Benoit, when he hadn't been as clear with her about his feelings as Benoit had. On top of that, Clare felt like the whole date debacle could have been cleared up if Christian had just come looking for her when they were supposed to have their date. The two made up for a time and Christian gave Clare his rose, but they did not leave Winter Games together.

Bachelor Winter Games, Season 1 (2018) - Benoit Beauséjour-Savard

I know what you're wondering: What happened to Benoit? Well, when I said he really wanted Clare to quit her hemming and hawing and playing both sides of the international field to just side with France already, I wasn't kidding. When Benoit sat Clare down to say he had real feelings for her and thought she was feeling the same about him, Clare had to tell him that she still couldn't decide between him and Christian and that they weren't in the same place. They both ended up crying and Benoit immediately decided to leave.

But! There's more! Remember how I said Clare and Christian didn't end up working out for long? Well, on the live finale, Clare revealed that as soon as she got home from Winter Games, there was a message from "a guy" on her phone who wanted to make sure she was Ok. Obviously, that guy was our sweet, devoted Benoit and he and Clare began to connect while the cameras were off. This led to a very romantic and surprising proposal from Benoit during the live Winter Games reunion, which Clare accepted. Unfortunately, though, the couple announced their breakup about two months later, but the two appear to have parted as friends.

As you can see Clare Crawley has already had several very dramatic romances during her on-screen time in the Bachelor franchise, so even though it looks like she may have already found her true love during her run as Bachelorette, you can rest assured that watching her fall in love will be full of twists, turns and romantic intrigue.

After a very tumultuous start and loooooong wait (thanks, worldwide health crisis!), production on The Bachelorette Season 16 with Clare Crawley is finally underway. But, if the word going around is true, Clare has decided to quit after just a couple of weeks, because she's already fallen for one of her suitors. We've still had no official word on this from the show, ABC or Clare, but we may now know why it's unlikely that our latest leading lady will say anything before her season begins to air.

It's no secret that everyone who signs up for any Bachelor franchise show is under contract with ABC, and according to an anonymous source close to the production who spoke with OK! Magazine, if Clare or the guy she's supposedly fallen for, Dale Moss, utter one iota publicly about what's going on with The Bachelorette right now, neither of them will get paid what their contracts promised them. For Clare, that means she'd forfeit a cool $250,000 pay day. On top of that, each of them will put any possible futures with the network as a whole in jeopardy, meaning no Dancing With the Stars or high profile GMA interviews, for instance.

When production was finally able to get going a few weeks ago, they had to undertake some serious changes to the way things were usually done in order to keep everyone safe (though they aren't using any mannequins for all those make out sessions). The entire cast and crew holed up in a fancy resort, reportedly in Palm Springs, California, which was shut down through September so that they could film everything there and wouldn't need to travel. Of course, it would seem that one of the issues with Clare and Dale is that they had been at the Bachelor Mansion back in mid-March to film, with info on all the guys already released to the world, when they suddenly had to shutdown.

This, in turn, meant that when they released everyone to figure out how best to proceed with filming, Clare was able to look up all the guys who'd been cast for her season, which no other lead has been able to do. So, it now seems that Clare and Dale hit it off online and "cheated" by having some serious quarantine hang time, meaning that they likely fell in love without cameras following along with the process. Which would appear to be the only explanation for how those two could have truly fallen in love after roughly 12 days of filming.

While this whole situation seems to have entered a realm of the super messy which is beyond anything that Bachelorette producers could handle, you can believe that they're on the case to make sure as much of this ends up on air as possible. While additional rumors abound that Tayshia Adams will now be Season 16's new Bachelorette, the source notes that producers are working closely with the show's promotions team to figure out how best to feature all of this on the show, as well as how to continue to build the most interest in the season. You already hear Chris Harrison yelling that this will be "The most dramatic season ever!" don't you?

Apparently, Clare and Dale have been moved from the resort to a private home, but we don't know if that means the production will film them there (and show them throughout the season) or how much of their love story between getting to the resort and Clare quitting will be shown when The Bachelorette airs. Either way, it will amount to Season 16 being perfectly messy, and lead to a much bigger build up for the season than what we currently had.

All that Clare and Dale have to do now is stay quiet and stay boo'd up to get their cash, and be thankful that their combined pay checks will surely be enough to help them start a life together after the show is done with them. Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette has been unconventional from the start, and not just because Bachelor Nation pulled a single who last appeared in the franchise years ago back for another shot at love. Production shutdowns throughout the entertainment industry brought her season to a halt before it could really begin, and spoilers ran dry for a long time. Now, it seems that Crawley may have actually quit The Bachelorette early, and may be replaced by another Bachelor Nation alum.

Although nothing has been confirmed by ABC, Clare Crawley, or even Chris Harrison at the time of writing, Deadline reports an first-ever twist on the way in Crawley's season of The Bachelorette: the leading lady leaves for love early, and another woman steps into the spotlight. Rumor has it that Crawley fell in love with one of the men trying to win her heart early in the game and left rather than continue the Bachelorette process and lead men on when she has no intention of choosing them. Too bad this seemingly didn't occur to Colton Underwood back in his fence-jumping days, even if he did start lying to producers!

Clare Crawley's decision to bow out early will reportedly be part of the season's story rather than something that turned production upside down and forced The Bachelorette to start all over again. Interestingly, if reports about how The Bachelorette switches gears after Crawley left early are correct, the second Bachelorette of the season will be one unconnected to Crawley: Tayshia Adams.

Tayshia Adams started her Bachelor Nation journey looking for love as one of the women trying to win Colton Underwood's heart on Season 23 of The Bachelor, then jumped to Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 (on which she roasted Underwood's kissing skills) to connect with John Paul Jones. Her romance with JPJ went through some ups and downs; if Adams really is going to be the second Bachelorette of Season 16, then it's safe to say that she and JPJ never worked things out for good.

According to reports, Tayshia Adams joined production on The Bachelorette Season 16 after going through quarantine, and production will seemingly give Adams the choice of the men Clare Crawley had already eliminated as well as those who were still in the running when she apparently chose to chase her happy ending early. Crawley herself may have added further weight to the reports via social media.

Clare Crawley's account evidently "liked" a tweet about Tayshia Adams stepping into The Bachelorette Season 16, although it was "unliked" afterward. As Bachelor Nation fans know, contestants aren't allowed access to their cell phones during production. With production ongoing, it makes sense that Crawley called it quits to ride off into the sunset with her bachelor of choice and reunite with her phone.

For now, Bachelor Nation fans can only wait for news and hope for confirmation one way or the other. Spoilers may be harder to come by than usual for this season of The Bachelorette due to changes in production for the sake of safety during the pandemic. The season will reportedly film in full at the La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs, California. If Clare and her bachelors aren't heading out for extravagant dates beyond the walls of the Bachelor mansion, there are fewer chances for details to leak.

With production reportedly ongoing, The Bachelorette will seemingly make its intended fall premiere on ABC, when it will switch from Mondays at 8 p.m. ET to Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. If you've been watching all things Bachelor Nation for a while now, you will likely recall that Chris Harrison is always telling fans that every season of the show is, something along the lines of, "THE MOST DRAMATIC SEASON EVER!" Well, guys, Clare Crawley's Season 16 of The Bachelorette isn't even airing yet, and it's already sure to win the title of most dramatic season for tons of reasons. After an extra long delay between Peter Weber's go-round as rose-giver and Clare's time as lead, we finally have a recast set of suitors for our leading lady, but some of them are starting to get cut and these "rejects" have some things to say about getting booted so quickly.

Obviously, no one could have foreseen all of the issues that would come up when planning this season of The Bachelorette. Our ongoing health crises hit right as the kissing-obsessed competition was due to begin filming, and shut the show down for several months. With that, we expected several of the men who had been cast as Clare's Coterie to be unable to stick with the show, as it always requires several weeks away from work / friends / family anyway, and many would likely be unable or unwilling to do that during a pandemic.

The men who couldn't continue with the show were recast last week, but now that some of those 42 potential suitors have been booted, they're beginning to speak out. Let's move into this gently, OK? We'll start with 30-year-old Collins Youngblood of the big smile, bigger gunz and (relatively) gracious defeat:

Awww. It seems like Clare is missing out with this one, right? Who knows why he got cut, but, as I mentioned earlier, when producers recast her season, they showed us 42 men, so we knew that several of them would fall by the wayside as they prepared to head to the Palm Springs resort which will host the cast and crew for all of filming. While Collins was very clear in thanking those behind The Bachelorette for the opportunity, as well as his friends and family for their support, it does seem like he's a teensy bit annoyed at getting the boot.

Now, his feelings could just be due to the fact that he was really looking forward to meeting Clare, or because he'd made a lot of arrangements in preparation for his extended time away to shoot the show which will now have to be cancelled. But, I have to say, his comment of "please do not ask me on why I was cut" sounds a bit like he thinks he was given an unfair reason for being left out of this year's Bachelorette festivities. Collins might talk about it at some point, but it's far more likely that we'll never know his full thoughts on what happened.

Alright, let's move on to 28-year-old Alex Brusiloff, who had been one of the holdovers from the first round of bachelors recruited for Clare's season earlier this year, before everything got postponed. At least Alex seems to have a sense of humor about the whole thing:

Oooh. I'm very intrigued by his caption, as Alex seems to be implying that The Bachelorette producers ghosted him on some level. If this isn't simply a joke, what could it mean? Does Alex feel like they strung him along and gave him real hope he'd actually be on Clare's season, only to cut him at the last minute? Did he think things were going fine, and try to confirm when he'd need to travel to the resort for filming, but never hear back and get word along with the rest of us that they have, apparently, gotten started on the season already?

Again, this is another case where we will likely never hear from producers why Alex was let go, even though he was in Clare's original group of men. And, there's also not a great possibility that we'll get more details from Alex on why he was let go, but at least this member of the "#bachelorrejects" squad has two adorable pups to help keep him company in quarantine.

OK, folks, let's wrap this up with the one man who's been cut and spoken about it so far who truly seems less than pleased. Tien Yang, 36, was one of the new guys who was just cast for Clare's season, but has now been relieved from his duties as a potential suitor. According to Us Weekly, he'd posted a picture of a sunset to his Instagram Stories (which is no longer on his feed) and noted that he'd "found a slightly more diverse hangout."

When a follower commented on another post of Tien's to say they were disappointed that he wasn't going to be on The Bachelorette, he replied with:

The person that Tien referred to in his response is probably 36-year-old Joe Park, who was another new casting and is, as far as we know, still going to be romancing Clare in the coming weeks. Joe does appear to be the only other Asian American man cast this season, and it definitely sounds like Tien believes that he was cut because the producers didn't want (or feel that they needed) more than one person with Asian heritage around this season.

The controversies over diversity are well-known to people who follow news about The Bachelorette and The Bachelor. The latter show, especially, has been under fire for some time, and has just now cast its first ever black lead, Matt James, who will make his debut in 2021 and had previously been scheduled to appear as one of Clare's Coterie this year. These shows have also been very slow to cast a variety of non-whites in the suitor roles on each season, so while I doubt that producers would have told Tien he was being cut because they didn't want two Asian Americans dating Clare, I can certainly see where that concern would come from.

There's still a lot of narrowing down to do when it comes to the cast for Clare's season, so we'll see if any of the other men take issue with being booted, or simply decide to talk about getting cut publicly. Season 16 of The Bachelorette is set to air this fall on ABC on a new night, Tuesdays, at 8 p.m. EST, so be sure to stay tuned to CinemaBlend for the latest!

It's been a long road, Bachelor Nation, but, after having filming for Clare Crawley's time as The Bachelorette delayed since March, we are finally nearing a start date for Season 16 of the ABC hit. And, while we knew that things would have to look very different this time around, we've finally got some confirmed details on how the producers plan to film during our on-going health crisis and try to keep everyone safe.

Many television and film productions are beginning to pick up again after literally everything being suspended by the middle of March. CBS was the first to make serious moves at getting up and running, with its two soap operas currently filming new episodes with serious safety features (including some mannequin-filled sex scenes) in place to help protect actors. And, the situation is no different for the kiss-a-thon known as The Bachelorette, though, as far as we know, no mannequins will be involved in Season 16...at least not on camera.

One big problem facing The Bachelorette was how to give fans the experience they expect, when the cast and crew can't travel to far flung locations. We'd heard previously that the production was considering filming everything in one place, in order to get underway as soon as possible, and, according to Entertainment Tonight, that is precisely the plan. Apparently, they are now going to film the entire season (rose ceremonies, dates, and all) at the La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs, California.

This is a slight change from the late June rumor which said everyone would be heading to the city's Ritz Carlton Rancho Mirage for filming, but you can rest assured that it sounds as though the La Quinta has everything they need for Clare and her men to try and fall in love. For starters, fans will know that no Bachelor franchise show is worth watching unless most of the men and women can strip down to their swim-approved skivvies and take a sexy dip, and this resort boasts 41 swimming pools. And, let's be honest, at least a few of those likely include an attached hot tub, so we are all set for any water-bound makeout sesh!

As I said, literally everything will be filmed at this resort, so producers needed to make sure that there were a variety of locations available at one spot, and this place is also outfitted with five golf courses, seven restaurants and 23 tennis courts. Wow, this makes me think two things. First, that sport must be more popular than I realized. And, second, will tennis become the new airplane / helicopter ride of The Bahelorette, where every third date includes a trip to the courts to knock some balls around? I can't wait to find out!

In case you're wondering about how The Bachelorette can film at all, considering the recent spikes in virus cases around the country, the cast and crew will be quarantined before they begin filming, and after everyone receives an initial test. On top of that, the main reason to do everything in one location is so that no one involved in the production has to go anywhere for the duration of the shoot, so that there should be little to no chance of someone who was cleared before suddenly becoming ill. Also, the entire resort has been closed to the public through September, so none of the cast or crew will come upon and randos while there.

That earlier rumor which said The Bachelorette would film in one place also set a potential time frame for filming, which may still be in place. Originally, it was thought that everyone would get to Palm Springs by July 9, quarantine for a week and then begin filming by around July 17, with filming set to wrap by the end of August. While nothing has been confirmed, it is still believed that most of the filming will happen in August, so the production might currently be quarantining at the resort so that they can begin work soon.

Well, Bachelor Nation, 2020 is half over and it only feels like these six months have lasted for...r oughly 18 years. And, part of that has come from the extended delay we've had between Peter Weber's super messy season of The Bachelor and the beginning of Clare Crawley's time as The Bachelorette. But! Things are looking up, because we seem to be nearing some Bachelor-related normalcy (though probably not with Bachelor in Paradise), meaning that the hot singles train appears to be gassing up (trains do that, right?) to give us more of the crying, confusion, kissing, and here-for-the-wrong-reasons glory we've been waiting for.

As you may have guessed, though, the Bachelor franchise is a wee bit out of wack right now, much like a lot of the things we use to entertain ourselves. So, you've probably been asking yourself when the new seasons will film, where these seasons will happen and more, and, luckily, we're here to answer as many of these questions as we can. Let's get to it!

The Bachelorette - 2020 - Clare Crawley

Man, it's been a long road to get here, right? Well, after being officially announced at the beginning of March, we should have seen Clare begin filming on her season in mid-May. Obviously, that could not be done, and while the producers originally thought that they'd simply have to forgo using any foreign locations, taping had to shut down along with pretty much every other show. But, things are starting to move along, and spoilers from Reality Steve are saying that her season is actually close to filming.

Here's the plan, as mentioned before, the producers are sticking with filming in one location to try and keep everyone in the cast and crew as safe as possible. According to spoilers, everyone is currently set to arrive in Palm Springs, CA around July 9. Everyone will be quarantined for a week to make sure they're all healthy, then filming will begin somewhere around July 17. It looks like their location for the entire shoot will be the Ritz Carlton Rancho Mirage, with the season being done with filming by August 27. Even if this isn't the resort, with no traveling allowed once they're at the location, rest assured that it's been scouted so as to have the best date locations on the property as possible. We might not get to see any waterfalls, but at least everyone will stay healthy.

Aside from having everyone hang in one location for the duration of filming, there are other changes afoot. For one, as Chris Harrison confirmed a while back, they've had to recast some of Clare's suitors (which is just fine by me). We don't know how many of the original cast has had to be replaced, but, apparently, many of these new men skew older than the ones in the first crop, which sounds like a solid choice. A lot of the men who were first announced seemed way too young for what Clare was looking for, so here's hoping that the new crop is a bit less right-out-of-college than the other guys were.

Now, my only question about them is whether or not we'll get all of the kissy-face-lovey-dovey touch time that we usually do. The show might do all the appropriate quarantining, social distancing and health testing they can, but will the participants be as cool as usual with getting so up close and personal right away? I certainly can't wait to find out! Info on the new dudes should come out mid-July, before filming commences.

OK, here's the other big change that really might hit you right in your Bachelor Nation loving souls. You know how all the Bachelor shows air at the same time on Monday nights? Well, not this time! Clare's season is scheduled to air in the fall now, and you might remember what's been on Monday nights in the fall. That's right, Dancing with the Stars is keeping its Monday spot, while The Bachelorette will air on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST.

The Bachelor - 2021 - Matt James

As we all know by now, Matt James, who had been scheduled to romance Clare as one of her many suitors during her season, was called up to be our next Bachelor. Unfortunately, it took nationwide protests, a major petition to diversify the show behind the scenes and on camera, and former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay announcing that she'll stop her involvement with the franchise if they didn't cast a black Bachelor for the show to make this move, but now that it's (finally) done, how is Matt's season going to work?

Let's start with a little background info on Matt, first, because, if you've been paying attention to the franchise for the past year, you have probably seen him before. While Matt has never been on one of the franchise shows (and will not be on Clare's season anymore), fans who like to follow their Bachelor Nation favorites on social media will know that Matt is the best friend (and roommate...and business partner) of Tyler Cameron, who made serious waves on Hannah Brown's Bachelorette season in 2019.

I don't doubt that Matt was, likely, intrigued by the prospect of joining the franchise after watching Tyler's profile increase in the past year, which would help the 28-year-old North Carolina native in his business pursuits, which include being an entrepreneur, real estate broker, and community organization founder. Matt will be looking for his first ever love on The Bachelor, and while there are plenty of unknowns still about his season, we do have some idea of what will be in store for us when we tune in.

First of all, things are still on track for The Bachelor to start filming by late September, when it generally starts taping episodes, anyway. Now, here's the tricky part: we don't have any idea what Matt's season will look like yet, because no one knows if worldwide health conditions will be safer by then, or not.

ABC's Vice President of Alternative Programming, Rob Mills, spoke to On Air with Ryan Seacrest just a few days after Matt was announced as Bachelor to talk about how they were going to film seasons in the coming months, and the key with his season is going to be flexibility. Because no one knows what the world is going to look like come late September, they're open to filming The Bachelor at that infamous mansion, and possibly having some travel (maybe even by bus!). But, if things aren't that safe yet, everyone is on board with filming in the same manner as Clare's season. None of those potential details have been ironed out, though.

On the upside, Mills also confirmed that competition to get on Mike... I MEAN, Matt's season of The Bachelor is already at a fever pitch. In the five days between Matt being confirmed and Mills appearing on Seacrest's show, they had 6,500 new applicants who'd like to try and win Matt's heart, which is a record in that time span. Let's hope they pick some good ones. And, by "good" I mean at least 60% crazy troublemaker, because that's what this franchise is all about! As is usually the case, photos and bios for these ladies will probably be released a few weeks before Matt begins to tape his season.

Bachelor In Paradise - 2021

That's right, Bachelor Nation. I hate to ruin this little bit of potential summer joy for you, but there is pretty much no hope for Bachelor in Paradise to air in 2020. As we know, things are already seriously backed up, with Clare's Bachelorette not even filming until probably mid-July, and airing this fall. On top of that, Matt's Bachelor season will (hopefully) be in full swing this fall, and in addition we don't even know if it will be safe for our sexy singles to head to a Mexican beach to kiss (eeewwww) and cry their hearts out in the coming weeks.

Because of the filming delay with Clare's season, we obviously wouldn't have a fresh of a crop of rejects... I MEAN, lucky singletons (I keep doing that, don't I?) to populate the show. So, while there hasn't been any clear confirmation on this, it would seem that we'll have to wait until the end of next summer (all things being better than they currently are) to see if anyone who didn't find love with Matt or Clare will be able to give it another shot while sweating through their shorts in a tropical locale.

That's everything we know about the upcoming seasons of The Bachelorette, The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise. Friday saw what will, hopefully, be the dawning of a new era when it comes to The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and all things Bachelor Nation. After the franchise got some strong criticism last week from former leads and contestants, like Rachel Lindsay, and fans who mobilized to start a petition to see diversity among the leads who get cast, Matt James, who was scheduled to be a suitor for Clare Crawley's upcoming season, is cast as lead for The Bachelor Season 25, which is slated to air in 2021. Now the producers have made a statement, and committed to address diversity issues going forward.

As we all know, the past few weeks have seen numerous protests over the murders of black citizens at the hands of police officers, and those protests have, in turn, led to a lot of larger conversations about racism and inequality in our society. More and more people are starting to understand that it's important to face, address and make serious efforts to change that inequality, wherever it is, even if it seems, at first, like the societal area where that inequality exists is unimportant. And, with 40 seasons across 18 years, and only one black lead under its belt, The Bachelor franchise is one of those areas.

In a statement which was posted to Chris Harrison's Twitter feed, the executive producers of The Bachelor let it be known that they are now interested in making the kind of changes that they should have been trying to make for years. Here's what they had to say:

When I heard that Matt James was cast as the next Bachelor last Friday I was not excited. It looked like inroads had been made when Rachel Lindsay was declared the Bachelorette in 2017, but fans will know that every season since then has still had a white lead. This was even true of this year's Bachelor, Peter Weber, when there was very strong fan support for Mike Johnson to get the lead in 2020, after his time as a suitor on Hannah Brown's Bachelorette season in 2019.

After Rachel's season, it seemed clear that the producers weren't interested in changing the way they did things, so many fans of color kept watching, likely out of habit, without any real hope that things would change. So, getting Matt as Bachelor in 2021 just felt as though they were throwing us another bone, without putting real effort into creating an environment that would lead to significant and lasting changes. Now, that the executive producers have put out this statement, though, I feel I can proceed with the franchise with more cautious optimism than before.

As with many television shows, part of the issue with casting isn't just in who tries to get on the show, but in who works behind the scenes. If you have a dozen producers / people helping to cast The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, but only two of those folks are people of color, the chances that there will be fairer representation on camera are going to be pretty low.

The same applies when it comes to the desire to see things change. If basically everyone is cool with the status quo, change won't happen. This statement makes it clear that those behind the show take responsibility for letting the franchise linger for 18 years with only one person of color in the lead, and they're vowing to make the kind of changes behind the scenes (which was one of the things the petition called for) that should keep us from looking back on the franchise in another 18 years and going, "Wait, have the only non-white leads been Rachel and Matt? How the fuck did this happen again?!"

So, with cautious optimism is how I will watch The Bachelor and The Bachelorette in 2021. I need to see what happens beyond those seasons to tell if these folks are really, truly serious about their desire "to reflect the world around us and show all of its beautiful love stories." There's no reason why one season per year can't cast a lead of color. We need to see folks with Mexican, Chinese, Indian, Native American, Filipino, Caribbean and the wide variety of other cultures / ancestries who reside in this country as leads, and now that the producers seem to be on board, that shouldn't be an issue going forward.

It's no secret by now that A LOT of Bachelor Nation folks have come out to really take a stand against racism in the franchise. We've had 40 combined seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette by this point, across 18 years, and Rachel Lindsay is the only black person to act as lead, with her season coming so far into the run as to have just been in 2017. She spoke out earlier this week, saying she could no longer represent the franchise if they didn't make serious changes, including casting a black lead for The Bachelor, and fans followed suit by signing a petition to see change happen.

Well, producers of The Bachelor took notice (finally) and have now announced a black lead for the series in Season 25. Ladies and gentlemen of Bachelor Nation, meet Matt James, The Bachelor 2021:

Alright, I know you're all wondering how this came about so quickly, and who this lovely (He seems tall. Do you see those dimples?) individual is, so here's what happened. Let's start with the details we know about Matt. The North Carolina native is a 28-year-old entrepreneur, real estate broker, and community organization founder who is actually setting about his Bachelor journey to try and find love for the first time. Here's the rest of his official bio:

It should also be noted that Matt is Tyler Cameron's best friend, and the two run a charity together in New York, so it's not like Matt is totally new to this crazy Bachelor world, as he's been by Tyler's side through all of his ups and downs since he appeared on Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette in 2019. Still, it needs to be said: See, Bachelor producers? See how easy it was to find an amazing black dude to carry your franchise? This should have happened over a decade ago, but it's happening now, so don't blow this chance at redemption, alright?

After Rachel said she was embarrassed to still be repping all things Bachelor when they hadn't bothered to cast a black lead besides her, not to mention the racism that is prevalent in general within Bachelor Nation which has been allowed (and, some would say covertly encouraged), fans started the Bachelor Diversity Campaign on Twitter. Along with that came a petition, which over 85,000 people have signed as of this writing.

I can only imagine that the producers and ABC saw that the writing was on the wall, and realized that they had to act, and act fast. As you will likely notice, if you've been watching The Bachelorette for a few seasons, Matt has not been seen on screen in the franchise before, despite his friendship with Tyler. Well, he had been cast as a suitor for Clare Crawley's upcoming Season 16 of the show, which has been on hold since March.

There was a bit of controversy at the end of April, when Clare (who was seemingly doing research on her potential suitors) appeared to shade Matt on Twitter with this post:

Fans assumed she was talking about Matt, because he's one of only two of her proposed suitors to have such a strong media presence prior to her season. But, many of them came for her, pointing out that Matt was doing those interviews and Cameo videos to grow his charity. That led to a lot of fans saying they wouldn't be watching her season of The Bachelorette, and also calling for Matt to be Bachelor. A little over a month later, and those fans' dreams have come true. Wanna see Matt in action? Here ya go:

Holy...Is Matt actually rocking that salmon jacket of Tyler's that made the rounds to the torso of almost every dude on Hannah's season? You know, never mind, I'm just going to concentrate on the positives here...

While Matt seems like a perfect choice to lead The Bachelor, and I'm truly glad that the franchise has come around, I do not want this to be the end of things. We can't, in another 40 seasons, be looking back at Matt James and Rachel Lindsay and realizing that there haven't been any other leads of color since them (I still feel bad for Mike Johnson). Luckily, ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke sounds committed to doing the right thing going forward:

The Bachelor is back! Well, not exactly. But, with Season 16 of The Bachelorette starring Clare Crawley on hold for now, and the premiere season of the new tuneful franchise entry, The Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart, not really doing its part to connect with fans since its debut just a few weeks ago, producers wanted something to fulfill the rose-giving desires of Bachelor Nation denizens everywhere. So, this summer will see the debut of The Bachelor: The Most Unforgettable – Ever!, a retrospective which will feature a look back at the wildest seasons in Bachelor history.

The 10 episode event series will begin on June 8, and, according to Variety, each three hour episode (which will, indeed, be led by Bachelor host with the most Chris Harrison) will revisit a full season from the annals of Bachelor Nation history. So, we'll get to take a look back at the harshest breakups, most cringe-worthy kisses, deeply devastating rose ceremonies, unexpected meltdowns, passionate makeout sessions and much, much more. Here's what ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke had to say about the new series:

I know a lot of people assumed that The Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart would be a shoo-in for all those eager Bachelor Nation eyeballs before it began, but The Bachelor: The Most Unforgettable – Ever! seems like it will be way more up the romance alley of fans looking to stay immersed in all things The Bachelor until they can get back on track with new episodes. With Clare's time as Bachelorette yet to be able to establish a definitive start date, this means that the late summer staple Bachelor in Paradise is also up in the air, and there seems to be nothing that fans love more than catching up with their old favorites.

Speaking of Clare, because her season would be the next to film when production can start again, the current plan is to (you guessed it) feature her time with unsuitable suitor Juan Pablo Galavis on his Season 18 of The Bachelor, which aired in 2014. Clare will be able to join in on the fun via video chat with Chris Harrison, and the hope is that those who never got to watch her previous run at finding love will have a chance to become invested in her search for Mr. Right and be even more interested to see what happens when her season of The Bachelorette can finally air.

While not all of the seasons of The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, BIP, Bachelor Pad and The Bachelor Winter Games that will be featured on the show have been decided just yet, it's thought that the season that started it all in 2002 (with Bachelor Alex Michel) will be shown, along with the first season of The Bachelorette (starring Trista Rehn in 2003). In addition, we're very likely to revisit Kaitlyn Bristowe (The Bachelorette Season 11, 2015), Sean Lowe (The Bachelor Season 17, 2013) and Ben Higgins (The Bachelor Season 20, 2016). And, the hope is that other past Bachelor Nation favorites will join in via chat to talk about their time in the franchise, as well.

Those of you hoping to dive back into the messy mess that was Peter Weber's recently completed Season 24, however, will be disappointed. The show has decided not to head to those choppy, Barbara Weber-filled waters again, which is probably for the best.

I think it's fair to say that we've all had a weird time the past few weeks. And, while there are certainly big things to complain and worry about, one thing that's had many members of Bachelor Nation bummed to no end, is the knowledge that we will not have Clare Crawley's 2020 season of The Bachelorette (a.k.a. Season 16) to look forward to this May, when it was supposed to begin airing. If you've been wondering exactly what's happening with Crawley's first go-round as franchise lead, or, less specifically, The Bachelorette in general, we have some answers for you!

Below, we've listed all the details we could gather about the next season of The Bachelorette, good, bad and ugly, for you to sink all of your Bachelor Nation teeth into. We'll start with the most basic question, because why not make my job a little easier? Let's get down to it!

Why Won't We See Clare Crawley's Season Of The Bachelorette In May?

Ah, yes, this (month) old chestnut! Filming on Season 16 of The Bachelorette had to be postponed back on March 13, which was right around the time pretty much every other TV and film production shut down so that everyone could go home and self-isolate to try to keep people healthy. Basically? It was really just super bad timing, seeing as how the day production closed up shop was the very day that was supposed to be the first day of filming on Clare's journey to find love. Had production been able to go on as planned, we would have seen Season 16 premiere on May 18, but with that unable to happen, we won't get a debut for Clare's rose-giving skills as lead until sometime later.

When Will Clare Crawley's Season Of The Bachelorette Film And Air?

When, exactly, is "sometime later"? Unfortunately, just like every other television show or movie that had to stop production, we don't really know yet. The producers of The Bachelorette are beholden to the nature of our current health crisis and word from officials on when it will finally be alright to assemble in large groups and start kissing everyone in sight again. We all hope that such a time will come well before the end of 2020, but, right now, we don't know if it will.

What Is The Plan For Filming The Bachelorette When They Can Start Again?

I'm so glad you asked! As a faithful member of Bachelor Nation, you will likely know that production never really stops, even if there isn't a show on the air (though we do have The Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart airing on Mondays right now). Casting, scouting locations, planning adventurous dates and the like take pretty much year-round work, so the team behind Clare Crawley's 2020 season has put a temporary, and very hopeful, plan into place for when they get the all clear to shoot her season.

According to Bachelor Nation spoiler king Reality Steve, here's how they'd like to be able to handle filming on Season 16 of The Bachelorette later this year:

It's clear that we're probably going to get a very different show in Season 16 of The Bachelorette than we would have before, but I think we all understand that this would all be done in an effort to get our jollies while still keeping people healthy. Now, obviously, a large part of this plan hinges on the show being able to pick things back up in July or early August when producers would like to, so that the show can begin to air no later than September.

Assuming we get that (Please let us get that. I'd love to be able to leave my house without wearing a mask before summer is over.), production is trying to secure one location, a resort or something similar, so that everything they need to do - cocktail parties, rose ceremonies, dates, and the living quarters of all cast and crew - can be handled without having to travel during filming or exposing production to potentially ill individuals. Along those lines, everyone would be tested before being getting there and would not be able to leave until the five weeks of filming were completed, which might keep spoilers from getting out.

I like to think this means that, when Clare dumps someone, that guy would get to go home. But, just think about all the emotional madness that might ensue if she dumps men and they're forced to stick around? I literally just got good-reality-show-drama chills from that thought, you guys! Speaking of which...

What's Happening With The Men Cast For Clare Crawley's Season Of The Bachelorette?

This is yet another super tricky question to answer right now. As those who were looking forward to Clare's season know, all of her men had been cast, which makes total sense, considering that there were set up at the Bachelor Mansion to start filming when things were shut down. Two problems have now arisen with that iteration of Clare's Coterie, though.

First of all, even though production probably kept Clare and the men apart for whatever time they were at the mansion, all of the guy's names had been made public. So, once Clare got back to the real world post-production stoppage, she could have easily looked everyone up and begun weeding some folks out or choosing potential favorites, which would make watching her meet the guys on camera way less fun when the show started to actually film.

Secondly, how many of those guys, who had taken several weeks off of work or even quit their jobs to be on The Bachelorette, plus given up their apartments or sublet them, or set up a house sitter or even long-term baby sitting for any kids they might have had, would be willing or even able to go through that all over again later in the year? I doubt many bosses who were willing to give an employee six weeks off to do a reality show would be prepared to do so again. Even though the opportunity fell through last time, they will likely need all hands on deck to get things up and running at full speed when filming would be starting.

So, this means that production is looking, one more time, to cast Clare Crawley's 2020 Bachelorette season. We don't know right now which men from the first round of casting will be sticking around, but seeing as how the start of production is still up in the air, I'm sure they're going to hold off on any firm announcements until cameras are actually rolling and have been doing so for a while.

When Will We Get Spoilers For Clare Crawley's Season Of The Bachelorette?

Whoa, there. Nothing's happening yet! I mean, it's amazing that we even know what The Bachelorette producers are thinking of doing once they can start filming. The good news, though, is that we never know when some tidbit will leak out, so stay tuned and hope for the best!

Our current year hath wrought many unfortunate things, and, while certainly on the less terrible end of that scale, one thing that Bachelor Nation has been annoyed about for several weeks now is the utter lack of filming on Clare Crawley's Season 16 of The Bachelorette. Friday, March 13 was supposed to see the show begin to tape as our most adult and mature Bachelorette looked for love, but, due to world health reasons and the shutdown of pretty much everything in Hollywood, it was not to be. But, we might finally have an idea of what filming will look like once The Bachelorette can finally get up and running again.

As is traditional, Bachelor Nation spoiler guru Reality Steve has details on how production might be able to actually give us our much clamored for time with Clare Crawley on The Bachelorette. While the status of the show changed very quickly in the lead up to that former date for the beginning of filming, with production first announcing that it would forgo some international trips, then all of the globe-trotting, and then shuttering things altogether until further notice, you can rest assured that they've continued to work behind the scenes to figure out just what the best plan of action will be once the many shelter-in-place orders have been lifted around the country.

According to what Reality Steve says, Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette is going to be very far from the typical affair. Here's the plan that producers are trying to solidify for her season once filming can begin:

WOW. Alright, there's a lot to pick through here, but let's just start with the fact that we'd see none of the infamous Bachelor Mansion during this proposed season, because the producers are trying to secure an entire resort for the purposes of filming. Typically, of course, everything starts at the mansion so that the lead and audience can be introduced to all the potentials before the initial cocktail party and rose ceremony. Then they head off on a few trips around the country before touring the world.

My guess is that those behind The Bachelorette are looking for the easiest way to make sure that two things happen with Clare Crawley's season. First of all, they want a whole resort to themselves so that they can do whatever filming they need to do whenever and wherever they need to do it on the property without having to clear portions of the resort ahead of time. Secondly, I don't know if any season of The Bachelorette or The Bachelor has filmed in one location for the whole time, so they'll need as many different looking areas to shoot in as possible to try and give viewers some of the visual interest we're accustomed to.

Also, of course, it would be good to have the whole resort to themselves so that it would be easier for Clare, all of her men (usually 25 to 30 of those) and everyone needed behind the scenes to live on the premises for the entire five weeks of shooting. I can't help but wonder if this means that when Clare sends a guy home, he's really just going to be stuck at the resort until filming is over, or if the men really will be able to leave when they get dumped.

Logically, I'm thinking they'll be able to leave, but the drama queen in me is secretly hoping they have to stay so that we'll get at least a few shots of the dumped dudes watching Clare date the remaining men from afar. Imagine the intrigue!

I really like that the production has built in some good lead time for filming on The Bachelorette to start. Hopefully (and for many, many reasons) things will be mostly back to normal-ish by some point in July so that Clare and her menfolk can really get down to the business of filming. This, thankfully, gives producers time to recast and get at least a few more men who seem actually ready for what Clare's looking to get out of her time as Bachelorette. It will also mean that we'll actually get to watch her season this year.

Luckily, even though Clare Crawley's 2020 season of The Bachelorette has been postponed, the new franchise entry, The Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart has completed filming, and will air on Monday nights, beginning on April 13. It feels like just yesterday that the latest season of The Bachelor wrapped up in dramatic fashion but, before it even came to an end, fans had already begun turning their attention to The Bachelorette. Back in February, it was announced that Clare Crawley would take the title role in the new season, but then the coronavirus pandemic happened. So with this stumbling block, how will The Bachelorette handle things during Crawley’s season?

Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette was already being impacted before it was postponed altogether last month. This even included a now-canceled trip to Italy. So where do things stand now? Well, series host Chris Harrison has now provided some insight and, believe it or not, Crawley’s season won't ignore the coronavirus or how it affected production. Speaking on the situation, Harrison told People:

The fact that viewers can indeed expect The Bachelorette to dive head-first into the coronavirus pandemic is interesting. One could argue this is going to cause the popular reality TV show to become more topical than it's ever been. And it's pretty difficult for it not to be given COVID-19's impact behind the scenes.

Production on the season is still up in the air, which has led speculation that Season 16 will have to recast the bachelors that were initially set to court Clare Crawley. However, that possibility probably won't break the hearts of those who were weren't impressed with the original cast.

As most know by now, The Bachelorette is far from the first reality series to be delayed due to the coronavirus. Yet it remains to be seen if any of those other shows will actually mention COVID-19 directly.

Before the coronavirus came into the picture, Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette, there was already quite a bit of info known about it. At one point, it even looked likely to get spoiled before it aired. This doesn't mean that fans still didn't have a few questions, though. For example, will Clare’s past with her Bachelor ex, Juan Pablo Galavis, also come into the equation?

Outside of The Bachelorette's upcoming season, the long-running franchise has been affected by the virus in another way, as former Bachelor Colton Underwood recently tested positive for it.

Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette was initially set to premiere on May 18 but, at this time, a new return date has yet to be announced by ABC. So fans will just have to wait a bit longer for the answers to their questions.

But while you wait for The Bachelorette to arrive, this spring’s premieres will give you something to look forward to. Among them will be the spinoff, The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart, which premieres Monday, April 13 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Peter, Peter, Peter...That's the refrain that pretty much everyone in Bachelor Nation sang weekly while we watched Peter Weber, fresh from Hannah Brown's 2019 season of The Bachelorette, try to find love as our newly minted star of The Bachelor in Season 24. And, every week we watched him make the most baffling decisions, wherein he consistently rewarded those who created drama and ignored some very solid ladies who managed to stay above the fray. Well, Season 23 Bachelor Colton Underwood, was right there with us watching as Peter flailed, as he's just as frustrated as the rest of us.

Everyone who signs up for The Bachelor or The Bachelorette is going to go through some rough times while trying to find the love of their life among the 25 to 30 people presented to them on the show, especially because of having to do it in such a public way. And, even though Colton Underwood understands those challenges very well, he was still disappointed by how Peter Weber's season went down. But, it sounds like his experience with the franchise does mean that he's able to give Peter a bit of a break. Here's what he told Variety:

Well, I have to say that I appreciate the way in which Colton Underwood managed to cut Peter Weber some slack for all his very, very poor decisions during his time as Bachelor this season, but also held him accountable for not being able to "take ownership in certain situations," which I'm going to read as Peter's well-documented inability to make a choice and stick to it.

I'm sure you remember how Peter had so much trouble deciding who was telling the truth between Victoria P. and Alayah that he turned a pool party into a low-rent police investigation and interrogated many of the other women just so he could make up his own mind. Then, he cut Alayah loose, but when producers let her come back a few days later, Peter not only took her back, but gave her the rose for that day, when all of the other ladies had worked their asses off to impress him during a tag football group date. Then, when the women got mad at him, he dumped Alayah...again.

The last few episodes saw Peter have sex during fantasy suites week, knowing that Madison Prewett had told him beforehand that she wouldn't be cool with that if it happened, which led to much back and forth between Peter, Madi and his other final pick, Hannah Ann Sluss. Peter got engaged to Hannah Ann, but only after Madi dumped him, and without him telling Hannah Ann anything about what had happened with Madi.

They were engaged for about a month before Peter went to Hannah Ann and apologized for not being able to "give you what you want," which basically led to him taking the coward's way out and letting Hannah Ann break off their engagement. During the live finale, he and Madi said they were going to give a relationship another try, but Peter's family, led by mom Barbara Weber, said they wouldn't support him in that decision, and he and Madi announced their breakup two days later.

Man, I was right there watching that whole mess, and I'm still getting some kind of anxiety reaction from recounting it. Colton really might not be giving Peter enough credit for how screwy his season was, even considering that Colton knows, firsthand, how the producers work behind the scenes to push the drama forward as much as possible, as opposed to making sure that something like true love has the clearest way forward in the Bachelor franchise.

At least Colton acknowledges that it's pretty easy to feel sympathy for Madi and Hannah Ann, as well as hoping that this wild experience helped Peter grow and become a better person. I mean, I feel like it probably didn't, but we can all hope, right?

Almost all things The Bachelor and The Bachelorette (Including Clare Crawley's 2020 season...dammit!) are currently on hold, like many other TV projects, but the new franchise series The Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart will still debut as planned on April 13, as it finished filming many weeks ago. After dealing with all of Peter Weber's insanity on his season of The Bachelor, it's been a long road to get here, but we're all, I think, finally ready to dive into the goodness that (hopefully) lies ahead when we can watch Clare Crawley's 2020 season of The Bachelorette. Production was supposed to begin last Friday, but had to be delayed because of fears over the coronavirus. Now we're hearing that, because of that delay, the show might be forced to recast the bachelors who were chosen for Clare's season. Bright sides!

OK, here's what's happening now. Obviously, all of Bachelor Nation is annoyed that Clare's season of The Bachelorette can't quite go on as planned right now, even though we know the production shutdown was important. So, to talk more about what might happen with the upcoming Season 16, franchise host with the most Chris Harrison did an Instagram live video recently (via People) to talk things out with fans. His thought? We will likely see a very different list of men in Clare's Coterie when filming does actually begin:

The current plan is for The Bachelorette to delay production for two weeks, then assess the situation and see if and when it's possible to start filming. But, as Chris Harrison said, there's no way for any of the many productions that have shuttered their doors to know exactly when they can go back to work, so the case is the same for The Bachelorette.

But...this would take care of an issue that many fans noticed when Clare's list of bachelors was first announced. A lot of people (including yours truly) felt that most of the guys who'd been cast were simply too young. Clare will be 39 when filming gets underway, and somehow (miraculously) the producers were only able to find three dudes who were in their mid-30s to early 40s for Clare to date and try to find love with. Most of the men were, pretty typically for the franchise, still in their twenties and early 30s, with a few at or below 25-years-old.

Clare didn't really seem to have a problem with this, seeing as how she stood up for the choices and herself when talking back to her Bachelor ex Juan Pablo Galavis after he bad-mouthed her and The Bachelorette on Twitter, but, it looked to me like the show was trying to set her up to fail. Clare's ready to get married, and possibly have a bambino or two. How many 23-year-old guys are really ready to do both of those things by the time they turn 25?

So, Clare and the fans might actually get more men closer to her age on the show now that the delay is shifting everyone's plans, but there's another factor at play that Chris Harrison didn't mention when talking about casting new guys. As Reality Steve pointed out, a big part of the whole Bachelor / Bachelorette journey is the lead getting to know everyone for the first time, as well as the cast interacting for the first time on camera. Well, guess what? Because they were due to begin filming on Friday, they now all know each other and have already had many of those interactions without fans being a part of it.

Even if everyone cast could come back whenever they get around to filming for real (we'll get to that in a bit), the novelty will be somewhat broken. They weren't all together for very long, but we're already in a situation where Bachelor A could now have inside jokes with Bachelor C and Bachelor X. Bachelor P and Bachelor T could have realized that they're actually related, and Clare could have decided that she doesn't like the look of any of them at all. So, give Clare new men!

Now, about when filming could start up again. This also poses some big problems that go beyond the dudes Clare might be dating. According to Reality Steve, The Bachelorette would have been done shooting around the 8th or 10th of May, for a May 18 premiere. With the delay, though, and not knowing how things are going to shake out with the coronavirus, Steve posits that it could be June 1 (at the earliest) when they get cameras rolling again. The seven week filming schedule would then push Bachelor in Paradise back to a start date somewhere in August.

On top of that, Clare's Bachelorette season would then begin airing in early August and last for 11 weeks, meaning that BIP can't premiere until the week before Halloween at the earliest, and then air through the winter. Also, this would mean that either Bachelor in Paradise airing will have to overlap with The Bachelor filming (which happens in the fall / winter) or that show will also need to be pushed back, potentially throwing the whole franchise and ABC's schedule into disarray.

Basically, as you can see, this is a big ol' Bachelor Nation mess of a very different kind, and it'll be intriguing to see just how everything plays out over the next several months.

I really just want two things to come from this: 1) for everyone to be safe and healthy, and 2) to be able to watch grown-ass woman Clare Crawley look for love on a semi-trashy reality dating show. Come on, universe. I don't think that's too much to ask for!

It's been a rough-ish week, right Bachelor Nation? Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor wrapped up with one of the most dramatic finales ever, which led to him and Madison Prewett breaking up just two days later, and then we found out that Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette was postponed to try to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Now it looks like Clare and her Bachelor ex-boyfriend, Juan Pablo Galavis, might still have some bad blood between them.

While it would have been easy enough for the two to continue to stay out of contact with each other after Clare had to tell Juan Pablo off at the end of his very dramatic season of The Bachelor, it seems like he just couldn't resist poking at Clare over something that quite a few fans have had an issue with as her season began to gear up. JP did what most people do when they want to get a public rise out of folks and took his message to Twitter. Take a look:

Siiiiiigh...Insert fart noise and aggressive eye-rolling here. But! If you think Clare was going to stand for this, albeit mild, shade from JP, think again. She took him to task pretty quickly after he responded to a fan who called him "jealous" and "petty" in his response:

Alright, I can see some people taking Juan Pablo's side (but probably not many of them) and saying he wasn't being shady, but simply reacting the way many of us did when we first heard about how many of Clare's Coterie would be dudes in their 20s. I think there are three important factors to dispute that notion, though, meaning that he totally deserved Clare's strong comeback. First of all, it's hard not to notice JP's selective use of ALL CAPS in both of his tweets, which seem to indicate that Clare, specifically, isn't suited to date younger men.

Secondly, that winky face emoji after he claims to just find all the young men who were chosen for Clare's season "fascinating" looks to be the very definition of shady. And, last but not least, if he was just intrigued by this development, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have bothered to @Clare to make damn sure she would see his tweet. In case you're still in the dark on Clare's (still upcoming, I hope) time as The Bachelorette, you might be wondering what the big deal is about most of her guys being so young. Well, provided the season still films this year, Clare will be 39-years-old and the most senior of the Bachelorettes who've ever led the show. Much of Bachelor Nation had been calling for the franchise to shift away from men and women in their 20s, because of how immature and totally not ready for marriage most of them have seemed in the past several seasons, so there was great hope Clare's time would remedy some of that.

Then, the full list of Clare's Coterie came out, and, lo and behold, most of the men were way younger than Clare, with only three men in their mid-30s through early 40s. As I said last week, I have no problem with an up to 10 year age spread on either side of Clare's 39 years, but having most of the men be way younger (Including one 23-year-old!) made it seem like the producers were setting her up to fail.

Clare still hasn't said that this was actually the way she wanted things to shake out for her gentleman choices on The Bachelorette, but she at least seems to have hope that all of them will be able to provide her with some solid dating / marriage options once her season gets underway.

Of course, Clare's season getting underway is exactly the issue, because as of last Friday, when they were supposed to being filming, the production actually decided to delay things for at least two weeks, to aid the efforts of many productions (and the nation in general) in stopping the spread of the coronavirus. So, right now we don't know if Clare Crawley will get her Bachelorette season soon, later this year or not at all. Here's what Chris Harrison had to say about the production shutdown on Instagram:

We might have a while to wait to see if Clare can begin her journey on The Bachelorette, but, in the meantime, we can look forward to The Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart, the new musical franchise show which will begin airing on April 13, and has already filmed its dramatic finale. Phew! This week in Bachelor Nation news has been a true roller coaster! First, we had all the live drama between Peter Weber, and his The Bachelor finale-mates Madison Prewett and Hannah Ann Sluss. Then his mom Barbara Weber tore her son and Madi a new one on live TV, Peter and Madi broke up and now...Now it's been confirmed that Season 16 of The Bachelorette, a.k.a. Clare Crawley's season, has been postponed.

I'm sure you can imagine why producers have decided not to go ahead with filming, but here's what happened. According to Entertainment Weekly, Warner Bros. Television, which produces The Bachelorette, released a statement explaining that, that's right, coronavirus fears are just too great for those behind the company to feel totally safe starting production on the show, which had been slated to begin today. Here's the full statement:

Man, I totally get it. But, that doesn't mean that I'm not bummed, especially since the statement gave no word on whether or not Clare's season will be scrapped entirely, or if they're just doing a cautionary shutdown for a few weeks before starting up again. Considering how things are going with the outbreak of the virus, that's probably because they simply don't know right now.

We had already heard that Clare's time on The Bachelorette was likely going to be kept within the borders of the U.S. due to coronavirus concerns. First, the production halted a planned trip to film in Rome, Italy, then we heard spoiler info from Reality Steve which said they'd actually decided to stop any international travel plans altogether.

Obviously, travel isn't the only worry with a show like The Bachelorette. While Warner Bros. was very clear in stating that no one on any of its shows has tested positive, if the show left the confines of Bachelor Mansion, there would be a possibility of someone catching it. And, we all know that Clare and the bachelors who've been chosen to appear on her season would be doing a lot of touching and swapping a lot of spit, so there would be almost no way to control the spread within that population if it got to them.

Speaking of both the possibility of The Bachelorette having to deal with the coronavirus and Clare's bachelors. Twitter has had some fun thoughts on what this postponement could mean. For instance, there are some people who think that filming actually can continue:

You probably won't be surprised at the impressive number of people who support this idea. And, while I can freely admit that I'd be down to watch The Bachelorette: Clare's Quarantine, do we really want these folks trapped together for two months? Do you know what kind of madness that amount of cabin fever might produce? It would turn into The Purge in that damn mansion!

I went on record just a couple of days ago and said that I was disappointed by the men who've been chosen for Clare's season. She'll be 39 in about a week, yet most of the men who were picked for her by production are in their 20s to early 30s. Well, it sounds like a lot of folks agree with my displeasure, and hope that the production delay can take care of it:

My guess as an answer to this question? No. People are probably going to be very nervous about flying, meeting lots of new people, sharing living spaces with them and getting all kissy with a woman who's kissing 29 other dudes for at least a few months. But, this could still mean that some of these too-young men drop out and they have to be replaced. If that's the case, we could (maybe...possibly) see more older guys on Clare's Bachelorette season, should it pick back up at some point.

That leads me to another question, actually. What if they can't start filming The Bachelorette in a few weeks and have to scrap the whole thing this year? Will Clare still be our next Bachelorette or will they abandon her season and go back to the drawing board with another woman in her early 20s? Look, I really just want the coronavirus to stop and everyone to be / stay healthy, but I'm also gonna be super pissed when things get back to normal if they skip over Clare. She didn't start this pandemic so they shouldn't make her pay an unnecessary price for it!

I'm not over Peter Weber's After the Final Rose finale of The Bachelor, you guys. Nope, not quite yet. And, with good reason, seeing as how we're still getting information about how things went down for Madison Prewett's awkward family-time visit Australia, Peter's poorly thought out proposal to Hannah Ann Sluss and everything that has happened afterward. This, of course, includes how Peter's mom, Barbara Weber, acted on the live finale when she found out that he and Madi were planning for another shot at romance.

Even fans who agreed with the basic idea that Madi and Peter were too different to try romance again, were shocked to watch Barbara go on and on about how the two of them would fail, and detail all the reasons why, and why no one, out of all Peter's friends and family apparently, thought the relationship would work. Which, we now know, it didn't...but STILL. Damn, Barbara; you're talking to your son like this on live television!

As you might imagine, Chris Harrison, who was right there in the midst of all the drama, was not cool with how The Bachelor finale turned out, either. Here's what he told Entertainment Weekly:

I'm sure Chris Harrison wasn't the only one who was sick to his stomach watching Barbara decline any familial support for Peter and Madison's romance. But, because he was present at the live taping and privy to what went on in Australia, Harrison has given us some background information on what happened prior to Madi's time with Peter's family, as well as something that he noticed during the finale.

First off, let's go back to what Barb said about Madison when the family had just flown half way around the world to talk to Peter's final two women. She said (several times) that Madison made them wait three hours before Peter was finally able to convince her to come and meet his parents and brother again (remember, she met them the first time during the first one-on-one date she and Peter had many weeks before). According to Chris Harrison, it wasn't fair for Barb to put the blame for all of that wait time on Madi. He told ET:

Wow. OK, Barb really did make it sound like it was all on Madison for their wait once they got to Australia when she was sitting there dressed like a funeral was about to go down on the live finale, didn't she? Well, it turns out that their wait was just about Madi and Peter trying to hash out relationship details, which, as Chris Harrison pointed out, really did need to be discussed. (I mean, it didn't help. But at least they tried?)

The other added bit of info takes us back to what happened live during the finale. After we watched video of Peter and Hannah Ann breaking up at that mystery location that Bachelor Nation managed to track down a few weeks ago, Hannah Ann came out to confront Peter about his broken promises. Now, I didn't really think that Perter should have ended up with Hannah Ann, either, especially not with the circumstances surrounding that proposal, but no one can argue that she didn't stand up for herself during the breakup and call Peter out on some very important points when she sat down for the finale.

Pretty much everyone watching saw how much support Barb had for Hannah Ann as she was telling Peter off (with a lot of admirable sophistication), but what Chris Harrison saw that most of us probably missed is that all of those applause for Hannah Ann started with Barb. That's right folks, Barb was so against her son leaving Hannah Ann behind and pursuing Madison again that she basically turned against her kid on live TV.

This whole season of The Bachelor? Well, it has me sorta exhausted. I can't wait to move on to whatever messy drama The Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart and Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette have in store for us, though. I need a reality TV romance palate cleanser so I can forget about Peter Weber, Barb and the whole lot of 'em.

WARNING: Spoilers ahead for the finale of Peter Weber's 2020 season of The Bachelor and its aftermath!

OOOOOh, weeeeeee! Bachelor Nation, we all knew things were going to be tough for Peter Weber and Madison Prewett after we saw what happened on that live, After the Final Rose Bachelor finale Tuesday night, but it did not take long for romance bombs to start dropping. Few of us can get the words and images out of our heads after watching Peter's mom, Barbara Weber, stick to her Madison-hate guns and then double down on her feelings...on live television with Peter and Madison sitting right in front of her. Now, the couple has already officially broken up...AGAIN.

If you're thinking this is just a hint of a rumor that we're going off of here, unfortunately for Maditer fans (I have no idea what their blended name would have been, OK?), the news of Peter and Madison breaking up and deciding to forgo any more romantic opportunities together has come from Ms. Prewett herself, via Instagram. Take a look:

Boy, oh boy, Oh. BOY. Alright, there is a lot I could pick apart here, but let's just deal with what Madison said in her post. After giving thanks for her whole experience on The Bachelor, she notes that she's better for it and has "learned the importance of acceptance, forgiveness, and grace," before dropping the information that she and Peter have "decided to go our separate ways." It sounds so mature and civilized, doesn't it? I am pretty sure it was exactly that simple, while also being a time which was filled with hot, hot tears of anger and disappointment.

So, Madison's post came in the wee hours of the morning, and after what happened on The Bachelor finale, I really can't imagine that she and Peter weren't trying to figure out how to move on from the time the cameras stopped rolling until right up to when she posted about their breakup. That's two full days of conversations about how, exactly, they could date when all of Peter's family was sour on the idea of him being with Madison, and his mom had been very vocal about how Peter would need to "fail to succeed" in his relationship with her.

Now, Barb had a lot of solid reasons for not liking Madison or the idea of Peter dating (potentially marrying) her. We found out that Madison made the Webers wait for three hours after getting to Australia to meet them, with Peter having to talk her into it, and that when Barb asked Madison if she was in love with Peter she said no and that she wouldn't accept his proposal if asked. Barb and the family were already unsure about how Madison's very religious nature and Peter's love of sex and partying would mesh, so this was the nail in the coffin for Barb.

Now, here's the other thing. While a lot of people in Bachelor Nation agreed with Barb in thinking that a relationship with Peter and Madison wouldn't work because their values seemed too different, it's possible that this breakup has to do not only with their differing lifestyles, and the fact that Peter's family hates Madison. According to Reality Steve, there have been rumors floating around for the past three months that once Peter was done filming he did something that Madison most certainly wouldn't approve of: sleep around with several women.

And, the most important of these women? Kelley Flanagan! She who says she wasn't invited to the Women Tell All, but whom producers made damn sure to have in the audience at the finale. There have been "rumors swirling" since Super Bowl weekend (a few days after Hannah Ann Sluss gave Peter's engagement ring back) that Peter and Kelley spent the weekend together and made with the sexytimes. Kelley says now that she and Peter aren't dating, which could very well be true, but that doesn't mean they didn't spend a weekend together.

Also, lending some truth to the weekend bangathon rumors, is the fact that Peter's family follows Kelley on Instagram, and, on Tuesday night after the finale when she posted her well wishes to "everyone involved," Barb replied by saying, "You were and will always be my Fav," and lavishing Kelley with other forms of praise.

Part of the reason Madison got back with Peter was that he claimed he had more feelings for her than for Hannah Ann. And, this might be true, but if rumors are to be believed it's also true that he couldn't stop his windmill sex ways after telling Hannah Ann he couldn't give her what she wants. If Madison confronted him, over the past two days, about these rumors and he copped to any sex with anyone else, that activity (on top of the family-hate) would certainly lead to a breakup, as well.

Man, what a mess, right? I mean, it was a mess all season, but this aftermath mess is kinda wearing a girl out, you know what I mean?

Peter Weber's time as The Bachelor is finally over, but Bachelor Nation keeps rolling on. April 13 will see the premiere of the new musical entry in the franchise, The Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart, which has already given us some major fuck boy spoilers, so be sure to check those out. You guys? Dating is hard. I have literally never heard anyone, especially in this modern, app-obsessed day and age, proclaim, "Dating is so much fun! I just love everything about it!" While much of Bachelor Nation has dragged some people on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette for only wanting fame and not actual relationships, I do believe that quite a few of those involved are looking to find their forever love, or are at least open to it. Well, Clare Crawley's potential bachelors for her 2020 season of The Bachelorette have just been revealed, and I am not impressed by the choices she's been given.

Let's back up just a bit so you'll understand why myself and other fans find Clare's coterie (as it currently stands) lacking. When Clare was announced as Bachelorette, a lot of people had some very shitty things to say about the fact that, at 38-years-old, Clare is now the oldest lead of The Bachelorette. She's also a four-time veteran of the franchise, having last been seen on the 2018 season of Bachelor Winter Games. Some folks couldn't handle that Clare's not 23, which has become the most common age for women in the franchise.

But, some of us who spent the bulk of Peter Weber's disastrously dramatic season of The Bachelor calling for future seasons to introduce some leads / contestants who might (might) possibly (hopefully?) have some additional maturity due to the simple fact of them being older were very happy to hear about Clare leading Season 16 of The Bachelorette. Because so many of the people we see in the franchise have been so young for so many seasons in a row, though, I wondered if producers were going to be able to find appropriate men for our Clare.

Spoilers from Reality Steve told us that, after the last minute decision to cast Clare as the 2020 lead of The Bachelorette, they cut three men in their mid-20s who had already been cast, with one 23-year-old likely to get cut as well. Steve also noted that they had gone back to the drawing board to find men who would be more mature and within Clare's age range, even interviewing some for the very first time recently.

Photos of all the men chosen (with a couple of extras who will not make the final cut) have finally been released on The Bachelorette Facebook page and, lordy, lordy...this ain't no party! Get a look at them first, and we can talk details:

I'm sure you scrolled through the bunch, and, while most of these pictures are terrible, the more pressing (sigh depressing) issue is the age of all but three of the men who've potentially been cast. Only three of Clare's Coterie are in their mid-30s to early 40s? How is this possible?

Now, I'm not saying that everyone on Clare's season needed to be 38 or 39 (Clare will actually have her birthday about a week into filming). I am, in fact, totally cool with there being a 10 year range for these dudes, with some being up to 10 years younger than Clare, some being up to that much older than her, and most being right around her actual age. So...honestly Bachelorette producers. What deep fuckery is this?

Only eight men are in their 30s at all, with most of them being in their early-30s. Do they at least seem like they'd be a fun hang for Clare while she searches for true love? You tell me; take a look at this winner by the name of Josh E., who's 31 and hails from Minneapolis, MN:

OK, Josh, calm down. You haven't even met Clare yet...Or, did you think you'd be meeting Hannah Ann Sluss or Madison Prewett? LOL! I'm sorry, sir. So very, very sorry. We also have several, wait, let me count...23 men who are in their 20s. STILL! And, of those men, 11 are under 27-years-old. I know what you're thinking: We were told they were cutting some men in that very age range. Why would there still be so many of them? Excellent question! I'd really like to know why Clare is going to be subjected to James C. from Chicago, who is only 23-years-old:

Sure, James is cute with his deep dimples and lush eyebrows, and his photo is better than most of the guys', but do we really think this champion is ready to get engaged in a few weeks and be married with kids in potentially just a couple of years? I'm sure most of the men who've been chosen are at least semi-decent human beings (no misogynistic tweets or photos with any of these dudes in blackface have come out...yet), but we all know that if this were a 38-year-old lead for The Bachelor and most of his women were this young, we'd be annoyed.

So, I think one of two things happened here. First, either the producers simply weren't organized enough to change course so quickly and pick a lead with some good years on her, meaning that their talent pool was still woefully young and they couldn't entice enough older men to audition at such a late date. Or, and this is the conspiracy theorist in me (Thanks, Mom!), they really don't want this idea of an older lead to succeed.

This franchise casts people all year round; meaning that even when none of the shows are filming or airing (granted, not much of the year makes up this time period), they're looking at photos, social media accounts, having conversations with potential bachelors and bachelorettes to date the leads and narrowing down the entries. As noted earlier, the past several seasons have seen younger leads and contestants, so their pool of potentials is pretty youthful right now.

But, Peter Weber's season, as well as Hannah Brown's 2019 season of The Bachelorette, led many fans to call for older leads / suitors. Maybe we've been seeing such young people on the franchise because that's who's been trying out. It's much easier to leave your life behind to go on the show for a couple of months when you have fewer responsibilities. The younger you are the more likely you are to not have children, pets, a home you own, or a job that requires you not take off for eight weeks and be totally unreachable.

In short, I think that the producers are trying to throw us a bone by casting Clare as the lead. They don't want to fill the shows with people in their 30s or (Egad!) 40s, because those people will be too hard to cast, and I'm sure they're also worried that they will be too mature to create the kind of insane drama the shows have become known for.

So, they make Clare Crawley The Bachelorette in 2020, but do it with a bunch of men who will likely not be up to her standards. The test fails, and they can go back to having pageant also-rans and social media influencers populate most of the shows, while they give us The Bachelor: Senior Lovin’ (or whatever the senior citizen version will be called) to satisfy those who argue that everyone in the franchise is too damn young.

Look, I’m not, by any means, saying that if the producers had populated Clare’s season with nothing but men between the ages of 38 and 42 that they’d all be sane, gentlemanly, intelligent guys that she could actually fall in love with. Being the same age doesn’t guarantee that they’d have enough of the same values, dreams, or interests to make a long-term romance work. But, I do feel like The Bachelorette has stacked the deck against Clare in Season 16, and I’m not OK with that.

I’m really rooting for Clare on this season of The Bachelorette, so we’ll have to see how things shake out for her when it begins airing on May 18. In the meantime, stay tuned to CinemaBlend for Bachelor Nation spoilers and news!

Warning: Big Spoilers Ahead for the live finale of Peter Weber's 2020 Season of The Bachelor, a.k.a Season 24!

Oh, my word, Bachelor Nation! We finally got to see just how Peter Weber would end his time as The Bachelor during the second part of the live two-night finale on Tuesday, and Chris Harrison might have been right when he said that this would it be the most dramatic finale ever. Sure, there were spoilers aplenty which told us that Peter would propose to Hannah Ann Sluss, break off the engagement after a while and then go after Madison Prewett, but we didn't know about once crucial factor: Peter's mom, Barbara Weber. And, because of that, the finale ended up being truly "scary" for those at ABC.

If you've seen the finale and the whole After the Final Rose special, you'll know that Barb, who had met and originally liked Madison way back when Peter brought her to meet his folks on their first one-on-one date, had turned on Madison by the time Peter whittled his choices down to her and Hannah Ann. Peter told his parents about Madison's no-sex-with-your-other-girlfriends-please ultimatum, and that really turned the tide, along with Madison's more religious / less party-centric lifestyle, which doesn't match with what Peter's parents have seen from him.

While it's true that no one in Peter's immediate family thought that he and Madison were a good match, Barb is the one who really went for the gold. The clip we had been seeing all season of her crying and begging Peter to "bring her back home to us!" was actually her plea for him to propose to Hannah Ann. And, when Madison broke up with Peter after her combative meeting with his folks, that's what he did. But, after about a month, they broke up because of his wavering feelings and he sorta worked things out with Madison, enough for them to sit on stage at the live show and talk about rekindling their romance for real.

Here is where it got scary, because Barb was not having it. Generally parents on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, even if they aren't happy with their kid's choice of partner, defer to their decision and say they want the best for them and will be there no matter what. Barbara Weber did not do that. She told everyone, on live TV, that Peter was going "to have to fail to succeed" in his relationship with Madison. When asked if those at ABC knew how ugly the confrontation was going to get, network executive Rob Mills told Variety:

Obviously, Rob Mills and those who produce The Bachelor, not to mention Peter Weber, all knew that Barb was not down with Madison and her son having any kind of relationship going forward. But, it was pretty clear that no one was expecting Barb to double down on her dislike of the potential romance while on live television. I haven't exactly watched every season of The Bachelor and The Bachelroette, but I don't ever recall a parent actually getting booed during one of the live finales before. And, y'all, Barbara Weber got booed big time.

Rob Mills was also asked if he thought that Barb went too far when detailing the reasons why she wasn't happy about Madison and Peter's relationship (and unwillingness to support them as they gave it a shot), and here's what he said:

Alright, Rob Mills. I see you sidestepping the question and not telling us whether or not you think Barb went too far last night. So, I'm gonna just take that as a yes. Honestly, after watching what happened between Barb, Peter and Madison last night, it's hard to argue that Mrs. Weber did the right thing.

I was with Barb after she detailed how they'd just gotten off the plane to Australia, and Madison made the family wait for three hours before coming to see them, and then didn't apologize. Barb was also pissed that Madison straight up told her she wasn't fully in love with Peter yet, which I get would be troubling for any parent. But, going on and on about not supporting your son and his (possible) girlfriend, and how the romance is doomed...on live TV? Barb? You're doing too much and need to learn how to keep some of your family drama at home. Well, at least she didn't cry...

As Rob Mills said, lots of people have had to deal with their family not really liking (or, outright hating) the person they chose to spend their life with, but that knowledge is usually kept within a smallish circle of family and friends. This on-air confrontation lasted so long that we barely got to meet new Bachelorette Clare Crawley, and didn't get to see any of her suitors for Season 16, which is standard for the After the Final Rose finale. So, it begs the question: How can Peter and Madison continue this relationship with so much pressure from his family, and literally everyone knowing about it? Here's what Mills had to say:

This is all true. If Peter and Madison don't last as a couple, it will be very easy for Bachelor Nation to figure out why, no matter how far down the line it may happen. Many fans already had a lot of questions and issues with Peter potentially choosing Madison before we saw how little support they'd get from his family, but when you add that on top it seems sorta impossible for them.

We were all on this journey with Peter, and it was truly awkward 99% of the way through. If this leads to Peter finally moving out of his parent's house, though, at least some good will come out of it. And, that's actually me being serious, because it seems like Peter could really use some space from his family; Barbara Weber in particular. Plus, there's no way he and Madison can date with him living at home, considering how the Weber clan feels about her.

The Bachelor may be over for 2020, but there's more to come in Bachelor Nation. The night is finally upon us, Bachelor Nation. We're about to get the sweet release we've all wanted for weeks from "Pilot" Peter "Windmill Sex" Weber's maddening season of The Bachelor. But, lest you think this will remove franchise spoilers from our lives for the next couple of months, there's much more to come! Season 16 of The Bachelorette, which will star four-time franchise vet Clare Crawley in 2020, will begin filming in just a few short days, on March 13. With that will come plenty of spoilers, but we might get them quite a bit quicker than usual this year.

Now, the master of Bachelor Nation spoilers, Reality Steve, is no slouch when it comes to supplying fans with all the details on the leads, their bachelors or bachelorettes, the dates, locations and every other aspect of the shows. But, sometimes it can take a while for that information to get to him, especially as the shows film in far flung locales. This year, though, that looks to be changing in a big way, because, according to Steve, all international travel has been put on hold for Season 16 of The Bachelorette.

Aside from the obvious side effect of denying fans a look at places like Iceland, Croatia and Italy (all countries where the production was previously looking to film), this means that spoilers will leak out way faster than usual, because it sounds like all of the action will take place around the United States.

OK, let's back up a bit and go over what's happening with Clare Crawley's 2020 season of The Bachelorette. While filming is still set to begin this Friday, last week word came down that Italy (they were planning to shoot in Rome) had been scrapped as a location due, naturally, to fears of the cast and crew getting the coronavirus, which has gained a nasty foothold in that country recently.

At the time, a spokesperson for Warner Bros., which produces the show, said that "production travel is being evaluated on a case-by-case basis" and they were using information from several health organizations to determine whether or not countries / cities were safe. But, now that spoilers are indicating that those behind The Bachelorette have actually decided to forgo all foreign travel, it means fans are a lot more likely to have info about Clare's dates, which men are on them and what they do if all of these things happen in the U.S.

As Reality Steve was quick to remind us, when The Bachelor or The Bachelorette film dates here, they are almost always public and even ask Bachelor Nation to come out to be a part of the dates. Sound weird? Well, if you think about Peter's season of The Bachelor (which is, again, blissfully almost over) I'm sure you remember the flag football date that left several women with bruises? Right! Of course you do!

That date happened in the same U.S. city as his awkward date with Chase Rice...I mean, Victoria F. (LOL) and Peter's soap box derby race with Kelsey, and both of those had crowds of fans to back them up. Plus, we found out about those dates and who was on them on the very day they filmed. While we don't have word on all the non-Los Angeles U.S. cities that will be featured on Season 16 of The Bachelorette yet, it sounds like we'll have much more information up front about Clare's dates than we did about Peter's this year.

Speaking of U.S. filming for Clare's season of The Bachelorette, spoilers have told us that Chattanooga, Tennessee will be featured on the series, which should be shown in Episode 4, and will film at the end of the month. According to Reality Steve, here are the filming schedules for the first three episodes, which will all take place in L.A.:

While we've been obsessing over all the drama, rumors and spoilers about the finale of Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor, ABC has done its job and appointed a new lead for The Bachelorette, Clare Crawley! Our new Bachelorette will have quite the task ahead of her as she looks for love in the franchise for the fifth time. We're already hearing a few spoilers about her 2020 season of The Bachelorette, so let's go ahead and dive into what they can tell us about Clare's Season 16 stint as lead!

Where Have We Seen Our New Bachelorette Before?

I'm so glad you asked! Clare Crawley is already a four-time veteran of Bachelor Nation, having appeared on Season 18 of The Bachelor, Seasons 1 and 2 of Bachelor In Paradise and the 2018 season of Bachelor Winter Games, where she met her former fiancé Benoit Beauséjour-Savard. That relationship ended just a few months after he proposed to her during the reunion special that February, which is why Clare is now available to lead The Bachelorette.

When Will The Bachelorette Begin Filming?

This franchise likes to keep the wheels turning almost all year long, and seeing as how Peter's season of The Bachelor will wrap up over two nights, March 9-10, we don't have long to wait for things with Clare Crawley and all her menfolk to get under way. Filming on The Bachelorette will begin promptly on Friday, March 13, in Los Angeles, with Clare and the bachelors populating Bachelor Mansion trying to date their way into each others (and our) hearts.

When Will The Bachelorette 2020 Premiere?

OK, we know that, for the past 12 seasons, The Bachelorette has premiered in May, and Clare's season will be no different. While we bide our time with the musical leanings of The Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart (which premieres on April 13), we can rest assured that The Bachelorette will begin to hit our eyeballs weekly on Monday, May 18.

When Will We Be Introduced To Clare's Bachelors For The Bachelorette Season 16?

Luckily, just like in past seasons, the finale for The Bachelor will hold a special surprise for those who wait. The second part of Peter's finale, which will include the After the Final Rose special, will lead into Clare meeting five of her bachelors for the first time, on live television. Let's hope for two things. First, that there is no Luke P. personality among this group, and second, that someone raps or does something else at least semi-goofy like Cam did last season.

Who Are The Men Who'll Be On Clare's Season Of The Bachelorette?

Not Juan Pablo Galavis, that's for sure! Ahem, speaking of Clare's bachelors for Season 16 of The Bachelorette...we have some spoilers to work with right now, via Reality Steve, but no official photos or bios from ABC just yet. The show released that info pretty early last year, on March 13, so we might get all of those details before too much longer, but something tells me they're going to wait until we're closer to the finale of Listen To Your Heart for that, so it doesn't pull too much focus away from that show.

Now, speaking about those spoilers, here's what we've heard so far. The only contestant we have details on right now is 28-year-old Cameron Duffy from San Diego, California. Apparently he was caught filming his intro package for The Bachelorette on Crystal Pier in his hometown, and has already made his (formerly public) Instagram private. You can take a look at some of the shots of his IG that Reality Steve captured before the public shutdown, and, well, from the looks of things this guy is going to be trouble. Run fast, Clare!

One thing we also know is that, as of Clare's official announcement as Bachelorette, they were still casting and had actually cut one younger man from the roster who had already been told he'd be a part of Season 16 in 2020. That younger guy was only 25-years-old, and it was determined that Clare, who will turn 39 just a few days into filming The Bachelorette, would be unlikely to mesh well with dudes who were that much her junior, so they cut them loose.

They cast year-round for both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, with a couple of final casting weekends for the latter show in late January / early February, where they fly about 50 potential suitors to L.A. to narrow them down for the show. But, by the time this process wrapped up this year, they still hadn't finalized their lead, which is why some guys were let go at such a late date. On February 29, spoilers are told us they had 14 guys chosen, if you take out the one who is 25, that leaves us with 13 from Reality Steve's list:

However, Steve was later able to confirm that, along with Mr. 25, the two 26-year-olds were also told this season would be a no-go for them, which makes it unlikely that the one 23-year-old on the list will make it, either. This means production was left with 10 men for Clare from their original casting.

I was really hoping that this doesn't tell us that Clare, who will be the oldest lead in the history of The Bachelorette, will have more men who are at her stage of life, but that they'll be horrible people who are the dregs of the casting barrel. I want her to have a real shot at this, OK? Lucky for us (or, really, lucky for Clare) spoilers are saying that producers were having conversations with people, for the very first time, to try to fill out the cast after Clare was announced as lead, so it sounds like they are making a real effort to replace the too-youngs with men who are not only older, but solid individuals. Yes!

In addition, we're hearing that one of the men who's being considered for the cast will be related to someone who is a bit famous. It's not confirmed that this person will be a member of Clare's suitors, but he should be a fun addition once we find out who this mystery man is and who he's related to.

To top all of this off, there are four men who are single fathers. Maybe this means they're stand-up people; maybe it doesn't. Either way, it would seem like these dudes might be more capable of getting where Clare is coming from (Fingers crossed!).

What Locations Can We Look Forward To Seeing On The Bachelorette In 2020?

While all of the opening action for The Bachelorette always happens in L.A. at the Bachelor Mansion, one of the most exciting parts of the show is watching our lead traverse the globe with her diverse(ish) group of men as they go on wild, adventurous dates that normal people just don't get to experience on any kind of regular basis. Well, here's where things get kinda tricky when it comes to spoilers.

The end of February also brought the spoilers that Clare and company would be filming in Chattanooga, Tennessee as one of the far flung, exotic US locations (LOL) and traveling abroad to Iceland, Coratia and Italy. Have you already noticed the problem? That's right, folks, Italy (where the production was planning to spend time filming in Rome) is out due to coronavirus fears, which is only fair. Who can look for love while they're feverish? Alright, fine, some people, but not most, I daresay.

Because The Bachelorette wants to try to keep everyone as healthy as possible while they swap spit (and, potentially, other...things), those fancy international locations are being taken a day at a time, so we don't know for sure how much of the world we're going to see on Clare's go-round of The Bachelorette.

When Could Spoilers Reveal Who Bachelorette Clare Picked?

Well, as much as we know how gifted our spoiler guru is when it comes to sussing out information about each rose ceremony, date, and every other aspect of The Bachelorette, sometimes it's difficult to get all the details confirmed on the finale. But, if we look at what happened last year with Hannah Brown's messy, tear-filled Season 15, it could give us some clues.

Hannah's season began airing on May 13, 2019, and assuming that she began filming in March, like Clare will, there were at least a couple of months of filming behind them by the time the show hit ABC. On May 11, two days before the premiere, Reality Steve was able to accurately give us the basics of what happened during hometown dates, and tell us Hannah's final three men and then which two guys would go into her final rose ceremony. So, it's possible that we could get the spoilers about Clare's final two men before her season even begins airing.

What's Coming To Bachelor Nation After The Bachelorette 2020?

That's easy enough: Bachelor In Paradise! That's right, there's no skipping our yearly trip to that tear-soaked beach in Mexico, but filming for that is so far out we don't have any idea yet who will be populating the palapas or possibly punching each other. But, if you're worried that have a bunch of older guys on Clare's season of The Bachelorette right before will remove all the ridiculous drama of past seasons (or lead to a bunch of 40-year-old men mackin' on ladies who are almost young enough to be their daughters)...well, then you don't know how this franchise works.

BIP is always filled with the soapiest drama, so whomever they choose to head to Mexico this year will be just the right combination of hot / kinda immature / could get in a serious relationship / could also just sleep around a lot. In short, we'll have to tune in to see!

Peter Weber's tumultuous season of The Bachelor hasn't ended just yet, but it's already time to look ahead to the next season of The Bachelorette, starring Clare Crawley. At 38-years-old, Clare is already the oldest Bachelorette in Bachelor Nation history, and some of her potential suitors are reportedly already being cut for being too young. Now, a photo has surfaced online that seemingly shows Clare eating a happy lunch with former fiancé Benoît Beauséjour-Savard while filming The Bachelorette.

According to Bachelor Nation fan atticusandclaude on Reddit, The Bachelorette was filming Clare Crawley eating with somebody in Sacramento, and a sneaky pic shows Clare looking like she's having a grand old time and laughing. The photo doesn't show her lunch companion from the front, but his hair color and facial hair definitely make him look an awful lot like Benoît. The fan who snapped the pic said this about Clare and the man:

Assuming Clare was having lunch with Benoît, what could be the purpose? On the one hand, Hannah Brown's visits to Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor prove that sometimes former Bachelor Nation flames can still hold a torch for each other, and the Bachelor team is willing to indulge.

On the other hand, a former flame could also provide some closure or even a good launching point for the journey toward reality TV love. Clare doesn't seem nearly as emotional as Peter when Hannah Brown showed up, and it's work noting that Benoît has already shared his support for Clare as the next Bachelorette. He posted this on Instagram:

Clare and Benoît got engaged after the 2018 season of The Bachelor Winter Games, which was her fourth Bachelor Nation outing after Juan Pablo Galavis' season of The Bachelor and two seasons of Bachelor in Paradise. The two announced the end of the relationship back in April 2018. With almost two years passed since their relationship ended, Benoît seems to feel no ill will toward Clare and Clare looks happy to see Benoît in the photo.

Calling Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor a roller coaster would be an understatement. But, even with all the on screen back-stabbing, tattle-telling, arguments, crying and confusion, it turns out that there's been something going on during all of Season 24 that most of Bachelor Nation hasn't been aware of: bullying. During Monday night's Women Tell All special, many of Peter's former girlfriends took time out of their bickering and personal conflicts to address the issue. And Sydney Hightower, for one, wants justice for those affected.

The Women Tell All special gave fans insight into many of the things we've been seeing on screen all season during Peter's time as The Bachelor, with discussions about Kelsey's emotional state, Tammy's unfair judgements, Victoria F.'s possible cheating and many other things coming under the microscope.

But it wasn't until the episode was nearly over that the cast and host Chris Harrison were joined by former Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay, that things took an even more serious turn. Rachel led a discussion that put a spotlight on how the women of Season 24 have been harassed online, with part of the focus being on the racially charged nature of much of bullying.

Contestant Sydney Hightower, who was eliminated during week six of The Bachelor, spoke to The Hollywood Reporter after the WTA to talk about why the segment, which she said came about after she reached out to Rachel Lindsay about the online hate over her race, was important:

When Chris Harrison asked the women how many of them had been victims of online harassment, they all raised their hands, and each of the African American women (including Lindasy, who starred on The Bachelorette in 2017) agreed that the focus of the bullying they receive is usually based on their race, skin color and even their hair. You can take a look at the WTA segment below, but be aware that some of the language used in these online missives might be troubling to some:

Like the rest of the contestants, Sydney Hightower was probably prepared for some amount of online hate once Season 24 began to air, but it sounds like she was unprepared for how bad the bullying would get, especially with regards to her race, something she obviously can't (and likely wouldn't want to) change. But, just as we should all do in any situation when things become a bit too much for us to handle, she was able to reach out to someone who'd been through similar harassment to figure out how to deal with it.

As you can see from the clip, many of the audience members were shocked by some of the messages that have been directed at this season's contestants, which proves that Sydney was correct in thinking that the issue needed to be addressed publicly so that everyone could see what it really means to bully and lash out at someone with hate because of their race.

I wish that Sydney Hightower, Rachel Lindsay and, honestly, all the women who've been subjected to this kind of harassement could get true justice. But, as we know, the reason so many people feel comfortable sending messages like this is because they can hide in the vastness of the internet, and there simply aren't enough resources to track every one of them down and make them face legal action of some kind.

We might all just have to hope that getting called out on The Bachelor Women Tell All will be enough to stop at least some of these people from doing the same to women who will sign up for the franchise in the future. Clare Crawley, for instance (who's getting ready for her turn as The Bachelorette to begin later this month) has already received some hate over the fact that, at 39, she'll be the oldest Bachelorette in franchise history. Here's hoping, truly, that the spotlight on bullying will shut some of the unnecessary hate down in the months to come.

They get to frolic in exotic waterfalls, picnic on mountaintops and hang out with wild animals we don't have here. But, it sounds like the threat of the coronavirus is changing that for Clare Crawley's 2020 season of The Bachelorette.

Fans will know that significant parts of each season of The Bachelorette and The Bachelor are typically filmed in far flung locations, but a special challenge has come up for the producers as they try to schedule travel and filming for Season 16 of The Bachelorette, starring the newly announced lead, Clare Crawley. The growing threat of the coronavirus has led the production to cancel its planned trip to Italy this year.

The Bachelorette is produced by Warner Horizon Unscripted Television, and a spokesperson for Warner Bros. issued a statement to Variety about how the company is trying to protect its productions:

This is a scary time for a lot of people. With the coronavirus beginning to make its way around the world, folks are doing everything possible to try and stop the spread, as well as treat people who've been infected and try to get them healthy again. The last thing any employer would want is to unnecessarily put its employees at risk of contracting the virus, so Warner Bros. is doing the right thing here by considering all of the locations The Bachelorette had planned to film in and determining whether or not it's still a safe bet.

As the statement noted, the best way to do this without completely changing a huge part of what fans expect to see on The Bachelorette is to evaluate countries on a "case-by-case basis" and use information from the many organizations which are working to monitor, treat and stop the spread of the coronavirus.

We all want Clare Crawley, her suitors and the rest of The Bachelorette production to be safe this year while they film Season 16, and the good news is that all international travel hasn't been scrapped for the show just yet, so production is still moving forward as planned, for the most part.

Speaking of Clare Crawley and her suitors, it seems like we're going to be in for a real treat this season, with Clare being the oldest Bachelorette who's ever led the show. While some people have been, frankly, pretty mean about the fact that she'll be 39 when she starts filming later this month, many are very excited to watch some grown folks look for their forever love on The Bachelorette. But, because Clare is way older than the typical 23-year-olds seen in the franchise, it has led to an interesting wrinkle for the production.

Bachelor Nation spoiler king Reality Steve reported recently that quite a few of the men who'd already been cast for Clare's season have now been rejected, namely a couple of 25-year-olds, because they're too young. Part of the issue was that Clare wasn't confirmed to lead The Bachelorette until a couple of days before she was unveiled on Good Morning America this Monday, so, clearly, there were much younger women like Hannah Brown (who wanted more money), and ladies from Peter Weber's current Bachelor season like Kelley Flanagan and Kelsey Weier, who were in consideration.

If you watched The Bachelor Women Tell All special last night, and paid attention to the commercials, you probably noticed that they are still looking to replace those younger men and cast the rest of Clare's season with appropriate suitors. But, spoilers are telling us that the producers have already snatched up 12 men over 25, with the oldest currently being 40. Plus, four of the men already cast have children, so it seems like they're on the right track to give (most) fans the more mature season of The Bachelorette that we deserve and have been asking for since Hannah B. let Luke P. stick around through fantasty suites.

Hopefully, and for several reasons, the coronavirus will be under control soon and The Bachelorette will be able to film safely in some international locations. Clare Crawley's season will begin shooting later this month, and will debut sometime in May, after the new musical franchise show The Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart wraps up. Bachelor alum Clare Crawley has been confirmed as the leading lady of the next season of The Bachelorette, which undoubtedly came as a surprise to the non-spoiler savvy fans. Despite appearances on Juan Pablo Galavis' season of The Bachelor, two seasons of Bachelor in Paradise, and one stint on The Bachelor Winter Games, she hasn't been around Bachelor Nation since 2018, and she's older than most Bachelorettes at 38. Now, spoilers indicate some of her potential bachelors are being cut for being too young.

On March 1, Bachelor spoiler guru Reality Steve shared that "a couple of the 25 year olds" who had already been cast for Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette were cut because of the age difference, and four of the guys who have been cast have kids. Of the group of 14 guys whose ages he had originally reported, two were 25 or under, with the oldest at 40.

Although ABC hasn't confirmed any of the gents looking for love with Clare Crawley, one 25-year-old has revealed that he was dumped from The Bachelorette due to his age: Jackson Canfield, who Reality Steve named as one of the 25-year-olds on his list who had been cast and has since been removed. Canfield revealed his casting and subsequent cut via Facebook:

Considering the ladies looking for love on seasons of The Bachelor are often in their early-to-mid 20s, a 25-year-old being deemed too old comes as a surprise, despite signs that the franchise could start pursuing older contestants. Casting is reportedly still ongoing this week for Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette; if Jackson Canfield was cut because of his age, fans can probably count on the rest of Crawley's pool of suitors being 25+.

The Bachelor franchise seems to be exploring some new avenues when it comes to ages and length of time that contestants have been separated from the various series, considering none of current Bachelor Peter Weber's ladies will be distributing the roses on The Bachelorette and the senior dating show that's in the works. Weber's season of The Bachelor has been packed with drama and also packed with many ladies under the age of 25. How will Crawley's season compare?

After a weekend of rumors, teases and spoilers, the new star of The Bachelorette has finally been announced as 38-year-old franchise veteran Clare Crawley! When it was rumored over the weekend that Clare might end up as our new Bachelorette, after having not been seen in the franchise since 2018's The Bachelor Winter Games, a lot of fans were up in arms about two things: how long it's been since Bachelor Nation had seen Clare...and, her age. Luckily, though, Clare has no problem being older than the usual lead.

Clare Crawley will be 39-years-old by the time her season of The Bachelorette begins filming later this month, and this will make her the franchise's oldest Bachelorette in the history of the show, which began in early 2003. But, Clare isn't here for any talk of her being too old to lead Season 16. When she was announced as the new lead today on Good Morning America and her history-making turn as the oldest star of The Bachlorette was brought up, Clare said:

It's a good thing that Clare Crawley is cool with her age (as everyone should be), because the decision to make her The Bachelorette has already brought some...very unpleasant responses from Bachelor Nation, even though we had heard that the producers might be in the market to "age up" contestants for the next season. But, as Clare noted during her interview, she feels like the added years have made it easier for her to pick the wheat from the chaff, which will be a big change from what we saw on the show last season.

As fans will remember well, The Bachelorette 2019 starred Hannah Brown, 24-years-old at the time, who was fresh from her season as one of Colton Underwood's women on his season of The Bachelor. Audiences watched Hannah put up with an extremely troubling suitor for nearly the entire season, and then become engaged to yet another suitor who'd admitted to going on the show to further his music career...and who ended up having a girlfriend at home the entire time he was pitching woo to Hannah on the show.

Another way that Clare Crawley's stint as The Bachelorette will break with tradition is the fact that she wasn't on the currently airing season of The Bachelor. But, one of the biggest complaints of Peter Weber's season (aside from his oddball decision making) has been that the women, many who were in their early to mid-20s, were simply too young and (even more importantly) too immature to be ready for marriage, which was exemplified by the amount of time they spent fighting with each other and trying to sabotage Peter's other relationships.

When it was mentioned that none of the three finalists on Peter's current season are over 25, Clare Crawley did joke that they were, "Babies. I feel like I could be their mom," but she clearly feels "younger at heart" than someone in her late 30s and ready for the challenge ahead.

Clare Crawley will begin her journey as The Bachelorette when filming on Season 16 starts later this month, with the show set to begin airing in May.
