There have been all kinds of different eras throughout WWE’s history. The New Generation, the Attitude Era, the Ruthless Aggression phase, the PG-TV days, and others quickly come to mind. But one that is thankfully mostly forgotten these days is the WWE Raw Celebrity Host era between 2009 and 2014. Celebrity involvement in WWE has always been a thing going back to WrestleMania 1, but the company went overboard over a decade ago, and so many random names hosted or appeared on the flagship show.

Bob Barker - September 7, 2009

In addition to being one of the best game show hosts of all time, the late Bob Barker was also one of the most unforgettable Raw hosts. Appearing on a September 2009 episode, the The Price is Right legend held a WWE-themed version of the show, which included an appearance from the villainous Irwin R. Schyster.

William Shatner - February 1, 2010

William Shatner has had multiple appearances on Raw over the years (his 1995 run-in with Jerry “The King” Lawler is hilarious), so it only made sense for the Star Trek icon to host WWE’s flagship show in February 2010. Captain Kirk singing WWE superstars’ entrance themes was not what anyone expected, but it was still wild and low-key great.

Pee-Wee Herman - November 1, 2010

Pee-Wee Herman, aka the late Paul Reubens, hosted Monday Night Raw back in November 2010 when the weekly show was broadcast from the iconic Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York. Herman had some great run-ins throughout the night and was even paired up with Big Show, who was dressed up like the beloved character.

The Muppets and WWE are two things you probably never thought you’d see together. Well, that happened in October 2011 when beloved characters like Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, and Beaker (his run-in with Sheamus is hilarious) all showed up on the Raw Supershow.

The saving grace of the whole appearance was Sasso coming out dressed as Hulk Hogan. It was incredible and you could tell the MadTV star was genuinely having fun out in the ring.

Aaron Paul - March 3, 2014

When making his rounds on the promotional circuit for Need for Speed in March 2014, Breaking Bad alum Aaron Paul showed up and hosted Monday Night Raw. This was one of the final guest host spots, and it’s one that’s pretty forgettable more than a decade later.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. - August 24, 2009

A year and a few months after defeating Big Show at WrestleMania 24, boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. showed up on Monday Night Raw in August 2009. During the appearance, Mayweather had a confrontation with Big Show and Chris Jericho (Jeri-Show) and eventually stood in the corner of Mark Henry and MVP in a tag match later that night.

The MacGruber Cast - April 19, 2010

Will Forte and Kristen Wiig popped up on Monday Night Raw in April 2010 to promote MacGruber, but they didn’t come as themselves. Instead, the SNL alum came in character, which resulted in some hilarious run-ins with WWE superstars, several of whom showed up in the satirical action comedy.

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne were inescapable in the 2000s, so it was only natural for the pair to host an episode of Monday Night Raw in November 2009. Their Raw’s Got Talent segment is without a doubt one of the worst things to ever happen on Raw, which is saying something.

Over the years, WrestleMania has given us some of the electrifying matches of all time, iconic moments that we’re still talking about years (and decades) later, and more pageantry than anyone could ever imagine. But the one thing that separates the “Granddaddy of Them All” from your normal wrestling show is the event’s history with celebrity guests, who do everything from make brief appearances or participate in unforgettable matches.

Below is a list of the 35 celebrities who have appeared at WrestleMania, which dates back to WWE’s first pop culture event in 1985 and going all the way to its most recent running in April 2023. From WWE Hall of Famers to guests you may have forgotten, this is quite a list… 

Mr. T (WrestleMania)

We couldn’t kick off our list of WrestleMania celebrity guests with anyone but Mr. T., the star of The A-Team and Rocky III who sided with Hulk Hogan in the main event of the first “Showcase of the Immortals” back in 1985. His tag match with the Hulkster vs. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff wasn’t a wrestling clinic, but the spectacle of the headlining bout helped make WrestleMania the success story we know today.

Mike Tyson (WrestleMania XIV)

Mike Tyson may have had the quickest three-count in WWE history when he served as the guest enforcer in the WrestleMania XIV match that saw “Stone Cold” Steve Austin dethrone Shawn Michaels for the championship, but it’s still an outstanding moment 25 years later. The controversial boxing figure certainly made the 1998 event one to remember, even before he turned on his D-Generation X ally.

Cyndi Lauper (WrestleMania)

Cyndi Lauper, who was instrumental in the Rock 'n' Wrestling boom of the mid 1980s, also played a key role in the inaugural WrestleMania event. From her great backstage promo with the late “Mean” Gene Okerlund to standing in the corner of Wendi Richter when she defeated Leilani Kai to win the WWE Women’s Championship, the “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” singer was everywhere that night.

Snoop Dogg (WrestleMania 39)

Snoop Dogg has played a role in four different WrestleMania events over the years, but his most recent appearance at the 2023 “Super Bowl of Wrestling” has to be his best. There’s a case to be made for WrestleMania 39 being the best of all time, and the prolific West Coast rapper was key to that success. After Shane McMahon injured himself entering the ring, Snoop saved the segment when he pulled an audible and hit the Miz with a ridiculous “People’s Elbow.”

Muhammad Ali (WrestleMania)

Mike Tyson wasn’t the first boxer to make his presence felt at WrestleMania. That honor falls on the late, great Muhammad Ali, who served as the guest referee in the event’s first headlining bout. There’s even a moment where the boxing legend was standing in the ring with Hulk Hogan, Mr. T, and Liberace. Wrestling is wild sometimes.

Ozzy Osbourne (WrestleMania 2)

WrestleMania 2, which was the only edition in the event’s history to take place in three separate cities, saw a great number of celebrity guests throughout the night. One of the best definitely has to be Ozzy Osbourne, who served as the British Bulldogs’ manager when the team of Davey Boy Smith and the Dynamite Kid captured the gold in the Chicago’s Rosemont Horizon.

Pete Rose (WrestleMania XV)

One of the best running WrestleMania gags of the late 1990s and early 2000s was Pete Rose getting tombstoned by Kane. The controversial Cincinnati Reds legend, who was barred from MLB after a gambling scandal, showed up as the San Diego Chicken at WrestleMania XV in 1999 and was once again confronted by the “Big Red Machine,” who quickly put him in his place to the roar of the Philadelphia crowd.

Johnny Knoxville (WrestleMania 38)

The Jackass crew has a long history with WWE, and one of the genuinely best chapters in that story is Johnny Knoxville’s bout against Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 38. The “Anything Goes” match, which was one of the most memorable contests on the two-day card, had no business being so good. Combining old school wrestling storytelling with Jackass gags (like a giant hand and a mouse trap), the showdown became an instant classic.

Ray Charles (WrestleMania 2)

Some of the greatest singers of all time have lent their voices to WWE over the years, including Ray Charles. The beloved singer known for hits like “Georgia on My Mind,” “Hit the Road Jack,” and “I Got a Woman” performed “America the Beautiful” to kick off WrestleMania 2.

Bob Uecker (WrestleMania IV)

Milwaukee Brewers radio broadcaster (and Major League star) Bob Uecker has quite the history at WrestleMania, as he has popped up three times in the event’s history. It all started with WrestleMania III when “Mr. Baseball” helped out on commentary, but the next year's event saw one of the most classic moments in WWE history when Andre the Giant gave Uecker an interview he'll never forget.

Aretha Franklin (WrestleMania III)

In addition to all her hit songs, iconic movie moments, and other achievements, Aretha Franklin appeared at two WrestleMania events throughout her life, both of which were held in or near her hometown of Detroit, Michigan. The late singer performed “America the Beautiful” at WrestleMania III in the Pontiac Silverdome and then again 20 years later at Ford Field.

Bad Bunny (WrestleMania 37)

Rapper-turned-wrestler-turned-actor Bad Bunny made his in-ring wrestling debut at WrestleMania 37 where he teamed with Damian Priest to take on the Miz and John Morrison in a winning effort. He has since returned to the ring on multiple occasions and continues to improve as a performer.

Gladys Knight (WrestleMania IV) 

Seven-time Grammy winner Gladys Knight is another legendary singer who has been a part of the WrestleMania festivities over the years. Knight showed up at WrestleMania IV in 1988 to perform the customary “America the Beautiful” to nearly 20,000 fans in attendance at Trump Plaza in Atlantic City.

Run-D.M.C. (WrestleMania V)

A few years before WWE superstars performed the “WrestleMania” song, hip hop legends Run-D.M.C. hit the ring with a rap of their own at WrestleMania V in April 1989. The “WrestleMania Rap” was created for the event and was performed by the group in the middle of the ring in front of thousands of screaming fans. 

Pat McAfee (WrestleMania 38)

Former Indianapolis Colts punter and current sports talk legend Pat McAfee has had quite the history in WWE the past few years, including some pretty stellar in-ring moments. Perhaps the biggest came at WrestleMania 38 when he challenged Vince McMahon to a match after defeating Austin Theory. Though Mr. McMahon won the bout (due to some shenanigans), McAfee, with the help of Steve Austin, got the last laugh.

Shaquille O'Neal (WrestleMania 32)

Shaquille O’Neal and professional wrestling was a match made in heaven, and WWE fans got to see that become a reality when the Pro Basketball Hall of Famer entered the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32. Was it a display of in-ring talent? No, but it was an unforgettable moment seeing him stand face-to-face with Big Show in the middle of the 20-man match.

Regis Philbin (WrestleMania VII)

WrestleMania VII is best remembered for being the beginning of the Undertaker’s historic streak as well as the main event championship match between WWE Champion Sgt. Slaughter and Hulk Hogan. The night also included an appearance by Regis Philbin, who stepped in and helped provide commentary in the high-profile headlining bout. 

Alex Trebek (WrestleMania VII)

Alex Trebek, the longtime host of Jeopardy, was another major celebrity guest for WrestleMania VII where he served as the ring announcer during the main event match. The beloved TV figure, who passed away in 2020, also conducted multiple backstage interviews throughout the event.

Rob Gronkowski (WrestleMania 36)

Four-time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski has had two appearances at the “Granddaddy of Them All” over the years, including WrestleMania 36 where he served as the host of the event taped behind closed doors at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The former tight end for the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers previously took part in WrestleMania 33 where he helped friend Mojo Rawley win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Al Roker (WrestleMania 33)

WrestleMania 33 is best remembered for John Cena proposing to Nikki Bella in the middle of the ring after defeating the Miz and Maryse in a mixed-gender tag team match. But who was the ring with Cena and his former girlfriend? None other than Al Roker, the longtime weatherman and personality on NBC’s Today show.

Reba McEntire (WrestleMania VIII)

Reba McEntire made an appearance at WrestleMania VIII in April 1992. The celebrated country singer and actress took to the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana, to perform the “Star-Spangled Banner” in front of a massive 60,000-strong crowd of screaming wrestling fans.

Burt Reynolds (WrestleMania X)

WWE returned to Madison Square Garden for WrestleMania X in March 1994, an event that featured multiple celebrity guests like Donnie Wahlberg, Rhonda Shear, and Jennie Garth. The biggest actor to appear, and the man who served as ring announcer in the main event match involving Bret Hart and Yokozuna, was none other than Burt Reynolds.

Little Richard (WrestleMania X)

Another celebrity guest featured at WrestleMania X was legendary R&B trailblazer, Little Richard, who was on hand to perform “America the Beautiful” to kick off the historic event.

Pamela Anderson (WrestleMania XI)

Pamela Anderson, who was all the rage at the time thanks to her role on Baywatch, was one of the multiple celebrity guests on hand at WrestleMania XI in April 1995. The pop culture sensation served as Diesel’s, aka Kevin Nash, valet in his bout against Shawn Michaels.

Lawrence Taylor (WrestleManina XI)

WWE has a long history of bringing in big-named athletes for marquee events, and that includes Pro Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor, who took on Bam Bam Bigelow in the WrestleMania XI main event. The two-time Super Bowl champion was joined by a half-dozen other NFLers in a winning effort.

Floyd Mayweather (WrestleMania XXIV)

Boxer Floyd Mayweather is another big-name celebrity who has appeared at the “Showcase of the Immortals.” The decorated boxer, who took home a big paycheck for a 2021 fight with Logan Paul, entered the squared circle to take on Big Show in no DQ match at WrestleMania XXIV back in 2008.

Donald Trump (WrestleMania 23)

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has made many appearances over the years, including a “Battle of the Billionaires” match at WrestleMania 23. Trump’s night ended after taking a Stunner from Steve Austin.

Ice-T (WrestleMania 2000)

Rapper-turned-actor Ice-T showed up at WrestleMania 2000 where he performed “Pimpin’ Ain’t Easy” for the Godfather’s entrance.

Limp Bizkit (WrestleMania XIX)

Limp Bizkit, still one of the bigger nu-metal bands at the time, performed a pair of tracks at WrestleMania XIX in March 2003: that year’s official song, “Crack Addict,” and their own hit track, “Rollin,” for the Undertaker’s entrance.

Mickey Rourke (WrestleMania XXV)

After appearing in The Wrestler, one of the best movies of the 2000s, Mickey Rourke entered the ring for real when he confronted Chris Jericho at WrestleMania XXV. Though he didn’t participate in a match, he did give Y2J a knockout punch.

Paul Reubens As Pee-Wee Herman (WrestleMania XXVII)

The Rock may have been the biggest name in the house when he hosted WrestleMania XXVII in April 2011, but he wasn’t the only celebrity on hand that night. The late Paul Reubens, as his famous Pee-Wee Herman character, showed up throughout the night in one of his numerous WWE appearances over the years.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs (WrestleMania 29) 

Sean “Diddy” Combs appeared at WrestleMania 29 where he performed “Coming Home,” one of the event’s official theme songs.

Kid Rock (WrestleMania XXV) 

Kid Rock performed not one, not two, but a whole medley of tracks at WrestleMania XXV back in 2009, including smash hit songs “Bawitdaba” and “Cowboy.”

Colin Jost And Michael Che (WrestleMania 35)

After teasing it in the leadup to the event, Saturday Night Live stars Colin Jost and Michael Che showed up at WrestleMania 35 where they participated in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal. They weren’t successful or anything, but they did look extra ridiculous, especially when Braun Strowman got involved.

Machine Gun Kelly (WrestleMania XXVIII) 

About a decade before Machine Gun Kelly started his whirlwind romance with Megan Fox, the rapper showed up at WrestleMania XXVIII to perform “Invincible,” that year’s official theme song.

Will Smith’s post-Oscar slap comeback has been a slow burn, and he's recently been showing his upcoming movie, Emancipation, through a series of private screenings. Each one has been star-studded based on the photographic evidence all over social media, with one showing even including the Los Angeles Lakers. He’s even gotten sweet supportive messages from the likes of Jamie Foxx. Smith recently had another private premiere with his celebrity friends, including boxing champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. This premiere was a special one, as the Oscar winner shouted out the athlete for his actions in the aftermath of the infamous slap. The King Richard star revealed that Mayweather called him for 10 days straight following the viral moment.

The latest screening of the Apple TV+ historical drama occurred last weekend in Losa Angeles and was attended by a few others in the entertainment industry. Will Smith's kind words regarding Floyd Mayweather were captured in a video obtained by TMZ Sports (via TMZ). Smith couldn’t let the former boxing champ leave the screening without letting everyone know what a stand-up guy Mayweather was after the slap.. In his words:

The boxing promoter was one of the multiple celebrities who supported the box office star in the days following the viral incident. Tyler Perry and Denzel Washington recalled what they said to Smith moments after the Oscar slap, with the former clarifying he spoke with the Oscar winner and Chris Rock.

Whereas the two Hollywood figures seemingly calmed him down, Mayweather sought to check in on Smith’s mental state. Those calls clearly assured Smith that the retired athlete was in his corner after the controversial moemnt. Mayweather's decision to make so many calls, even though he and Smith weren't close friends at the time, says a lot about his character. As flamboyant as his personality is, the former boxing champ seems to care about others, especially during those downtimes.

The word on Emancipation has been positive, as Floyd Mayweather mentioned that the film had him on the edge of his seat during the private screening. This series of movie premieres is leading up to the action thriller's release in select theaters on December 2, and it'll be streamable with an Apple TV+ subscription on December 9. Despite intense hype during the lead-up, Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul’s much discussed exhibition boxing match wound up being a pretty boring affair. There were a handful of nice punches landed, but mostly, there was a lot of clutching, grabbing and staring at each other. As such, most people forgot about it and moved on with their lives almost immediately, including apparently Floyd Mayweather himself who was recently confused about which Paul brother he actually fought.

Speaking to Hoops Plug, Floyd Mayweather reflected on the fight and how little he actually prepared for it. Apparently he dropped into the gym on occasion to do some sit-ups and hit the heavy bag but mostly just went about his life as if nothing was happening. In the same interview, he also confused Logan Paul with his brother Jake and mocked his opponent for trying to wrestle the entire time instead of throwing punches. For those of you who don’t care about YouTube culture and/ or aren’t following the Paul Brothers' exhibition boxing matches, there are some definite differences between Jake Paul and Logan Paul. First, Jake seems to pride himself much more on being an antagonist. The social media star turned fighter has a much more combative personality. He talks an absolute avalanche of mean-spirited trash and has been on the wrong side of politicians and police a few times. He also seems like, far and away, the better fighter of the two Paul Brothers. He's had quite a bit of success inside the ring, though that success doesn't make comparing himself to Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali any less ludicrous. 

Logan Paul, conversely, seems to be a much more easy-going person than his brother, though he’s had his own scandals. He publicly criticized Jake for talking smack about Conor McGregor’s wife and has been far less braggy about his own boxing exhibition matches, though that may be partly because he hasn’t been as successful, at least inside the ring. Outside the ring, he has an extremely popular podcast and has more than twenty million subscribers on YouTube.

It remains to be seen how long the trend of exhibition fights is going to last. They have proven to be quite lucrative so far, at least for the Paul Brothers, but not everyone has fared quite so well. Jake Paul is currently scheduled to fight Tommy Fury in an upcoming boxing match, though it feels like this one has had a bit less hype than many of his previous fights. We’ll have to see what the pay per view numbers end up being.

As for Floyd Mayweather, it’s unclear if he’ll fight again. The undefeated legend called exhibition matches a great way to pick up “backpack money” during the same interview, but having made many hundreds of millions of dollars during his career, he probably doesn’t need any more backpack money if he doesn't feel like fighting again. We shall see.

There wasn’t an official decision or even judges at ringside to score Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul’s recent exhibition fight, but experts and fans who watched at home thought it was pretty obvious the undefeated professional won the fight pretty easily. That being said, many were still surprised the result wasn’t more lopsided. Some conspiracy theories have even claimed Mayweather took it easy on Paul and carried him to the finish line. Well, Floyd’s uncle Jeff Mayweather has now gone public with some thoughts.

The former boxing champ and member of one of the most successful boxing families in history appeared on the Champ And The Chump podcast, and the topic of his nephew’s fight against Logan Paul obviously came up. Mayweather said he thinks Floyd was trying to knock out his younger rival but just couldn’t get the job done. Here’s a portion of his quote...

I can attest to the fact that lots of people were disappointed by the fight. There was a lot of clutching and grabbing from Paul’s end, and there weren’t nearly enough power punches landed. Floyd Mayweather himself even seems to realize that given he referred to himself as a bank robber in a recent conversation. So, good on Jeff Mayweather to acknowledge that.

As for whether Floyd Mayweather was trying to knock Logan Paul out though, that’s a bit more complicated. It’s obvious he was definitely trying for stretches during the fight. He clearly did enough to win on any unbiased scorecard, but there also wasn’t an obvious attempt to do much offensively. In fact, one of Mayweather’s best sequences in the fight seemed to come after Paul actually landed a punch and Mayweather knew he needed to score in response. You could say that’s a sign he could have done more, but Mayweather also has a long history in real boxing matches of playing to win instead of trying to generate a big knockout moment. In fact, Logan Paul even said prior to the fight he was comfortable fighting Mayweather because he's not traditionally a knockout guy.

Ultimately, you can believe what you want about the fight and Mayweather’s intentions. Logan Paul was elated to have lasted every round with Mayweather and clearly sees it as a victory. Mayweather was clearly in it for the money and has been very open about how easy of a check it was to cash. I obviously wish there had been more action, but then again, I’m not sure what I expected watching a fight between a social media star and a retired boxer who is significantly smaller. Now, if Mayweather had stepped in the ring with Logan's far more outspoken brother who is interested in a long-term career in boxing and isn't particularly well-liked by boxer, then who knows? Maybe next time.

Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul’s much-hyped boxing match may not have included as many landed punches as fans would have hoped (though it did include at least one good one), but let the record show it was still an extremely lucrative way to spend an evening for the combatants. We don’t know exactly how much Money Mayweather took home from the pay per view exhibition, but if he’s to be believed, the answer has a double-take worthy number of zeroes behind it. We know because he was recently caught on camera bragging about it.

The undefeated former champion was at a press conference to hype his boxer Gervonta Davis when the subject of his match with Logan Paul came up. Floyd Mayweather did not hold back. He called the fight “fake” and claimed no one else could have made a hundred million dollars from it. He later went on to call himself a “bank robber” and bragged about still being able to stick people up at his age. First of all, you have to take a step back here and just appreciate this conversation taking place in front of cameras. Ninety-nine percent of the world would never say something like this out loud, or at least not in a press conference with cameras around. It takes a special kind of confidence to just openly brag about making 100Ms from a fake fight. Beyond that, however, we also need to acknowledge he’s absolutely right. I think Mike Tyson could have generated as much or more heat and PPV buys, but outside of that, it’s hard to see anyone in boxing that could have joined forces with Logan Paul and generated as much hype.

Of course whether Floyd Mayweather is telling the truth or not is an open question. In the aftermath of the Mayweather/ Paul fight, Sportico published an article claiming the fight sold around 1M PPV buys, which would be about $50M in revenue not including the ticket sales for the actual event and any ancillary money. That’s a really impressive figure, but it doesn’t seem like it would be enough to get Mayweather to $100M. In fact, his take in the article was estimated at $35M.

Now, I would have to imagine Floyd Mayweather has a pretty good idea of how much money he made from the fight. So, people are just going to have to decide whether to believe his very public boastings about how much he took home or whether to believe the more modest sum that had been floating around. Either way, the exhibition worked out great for him, and it seems to have done nothing to slow down the momentum of Logan Paul or his even more ridiculous brother Jake Paul who is carving out his own more impressive resume.

It wouldn’t be a late night talk show without an opening monologue that takes no prisoners. On the June 8 airing of The Tonight Show, complete with the return of the live audience, Jimmy Fallon aimed his roast-fest at some not-too-surprising targets. Specifically, he joked about Chris Harrison’s exit from Bachelor Nation, The Bachelorette Season 17 premiere, with a little bit about Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul’s fight for good measure.

The majority of Jimmy Fallon’s roast on The Tonight Show honed in on the recent news of Chris Harrison’s departure from ABC’s Bachelor franchise, after 19 years as host. Harrison had technically already left, but many assumed it was temporary, not permanent. And the jokes about it were pretty funny. Fallon quipped,

Of course, late night jokes are always a bit of low-hanging fruit. In his roast, Jimmy Fallon wisely aimed clear of the reason behind Chris Harrison’s exit as host of Bachelor Nation, which actually resulted from his controversial interview with Rachel Lindsay that was deemed racially insensitive amidst an already growing race scandal on the last season of The Bachelor. It probably wouldn’t have been the most self-serving of jokes for Fallon to compare the situation to his own controversy from a couple months ago.

Jimmy Fallon didn’t stop with Chris Harrison’s exit, however. He also roasted the premiere of Katie Thurston’s Bachelorette season on June 7. This time he did make a comparison, albeit one to that Logan Paul/Floyd Mayweather match. He said,

Fans were also having a bit of fun at Logan Paul’s expense, even clowning him for being knocked out by Floyd Mayweather. Spectators were already assuming the match was manufactured simply for clout-chasing purposes. And the rule change that there was to be no official winner only seemed to confirm it. At least in The Bachelorette, there is usually a final rose winner - whether they take that rose (and keep it) is another story.

In between the taunts against Chris Harrison and Logan Paul, Jimmy Fallon also joked about the contestants involved this season on The Bachelorette. But Conner B. with his ukulele in the bathtub and the “surgical skins salesman” were only the tip of the humor from the premiere. There was also replacement hosts Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe eating popcorn while watching the gimmicky guys roll out of limos.

But all in all, Chris Harrison is reportedly walking away from Bachelor Nation with eight figures. Meanwhile, Logan Paul might've been cold-clocked but he has a $1 million Pokemon chain. So maybe they have the last laugh after all, no matter what Jimmy Fallon has to say.

YouTube megastar-turned-boxer Logan Paul gave himself immense credit following his Showtime exhibition bout against boxing icon Floyd Mayweather, stating he went toe-to-toe with the legendary pro for 8 rounds without being knocked down or knocked out. There's no real debate over the first part of Paul's statement, but in regards to the second, Paul is getting clowned by quite a few folks online who believe the YouTuber actually did get knocked unconscious during a key moment during their fight.

At one point during Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather's pay-per-view bout, Mayweather landed a counter shot on Paul that looked and sounded absolutely devastating. So devastating, in fact, that Paul stumbled forward and appeared to hang onto his opponent before regaining his footing. To be expected, perhaps, some viewers found it to be a highly suspicious moment during the fight, and ran with the clip online, claiming it to be clear evidence that Paul was briefly knocked out and only remained in the match because Mayweather was holding him up.

Logan Paul ultimately completed the fight without being knocked down to the canvas, but the clip in question has led some to believe he only stayed upright because Floyd Mayweather wanted the fight to go the distance. There haven't been any highly publicized incentives for Mayweather to intentionally keep Paul in the fight in such a way, but that hasn't kept some from speculating the fighter had a motive, as it went in the post above. Of course, there were more than a few like the poster below that wanted to rag on Paul's fighting skills more than they wanted to wave conspiracy flags.

If Logan Paul was indeed knocked out and intentionally kept upright by Floyd Mayweather, that would obviously severely weaken the narrative that Paul remained in the fight on his own merit. Considering Paul was so proud of that aspect after the exhibition was over, people started sharing this clip and other not-so-positive messages while tagging him and his brother Jake Paul, no doubt hoping to get a rise out of one or both of the outspoken siblings.

Typically never one to sidestep controversy, Logan Paul hasn't had much to say thus far about the knockout allegations surrounding his exhibition bout. Critics and fans alike are trying to get his take on it, though, as replies to his last post on Twitter have an increasing amount of comments antagonizing Paul for the moment, though not all are as succinctly stated as this.

Of course, it's possible that less people would be pointing out the alleged knockout moment if one of the Paul brothers would quit declaring full-on victory for the exhibition bout. While Logan Paul has been humble in his response and has said he considers it a victory just to get the opportunity to fight Floyd Mayweather, his aforementioned brother and prominent troll Jake Paul has repeatedly claimed online that Logan actually won the fight. As one would imagine, the responses to those erroneous claims tend to have more of a conspiracy theory bent in terms of the fight's legitimacy.

We may never know the full story behind this moment in the fight, or even if there is a full story. Ultimately, it's hard to say how much it even matters. If Logan Paul did get knocked out by Floyd Mayweather and still fought the rest of the fight, does that really hurt his overall credibility? It's a different situation to consider what Mayweather's intentions would have been in such a situation, but that line of speculation is best left to random Twitter threads.

Does Logan Paul have a shot at beating Floyd Mayweather tonight? Well, that depends on who you ask. The YouTuber turned boxer turned carnival barker is a huge underdog in betting markets. Given his limited experience, you’d probably expect Paul to be worried, but he seems extremely calm and unconcerned about stepping in the ring with a legend. Apparently that’s because of Money Mayweather’s style.

Logan Paul stopped by the BFFs Podcast earlier this week to shoot an interview with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards. Of course the subject of tonight’s fight with Floyd Mayweather came up, and Paul had some really thoughtful and interesting observations. He talked about how he’s expecting to have to change styles mid-way through the fight since Mayweather will likely feel him out in the early rounds before getting more aggressive, and he talked about how he was so willing to take the fight with Mayweather, despite his limited experience, because the legend is a very defensive fighter by nature. Paul contrasted Mayweather with Mike Tyson and said he would be far more worried about stepping in the ring with Iron Mike because he could cause serious harm. There is definitely a lot of truth to that. Mike Tyson’s knockout videos are brutal and among the best the sport has ever produced. Floyd Mayweather’s highlights are much more impressive from a technical and athletic perspective and less so from an is that guy going to be okay standpoint.

On paper, Logan Paul has some tremendous advantages. He’s almost two decades younger, weighs thirty-five pounds more and is taller by about six inches. He also has a longer reach. That being said, Mayweather has way more experience in a boxing ring, was undefeated during his career and is widely considered to be one of the most disciplined and careful boxers in the history of the sport. We’’ll have to wait until the final pay per view numbers come in before finding out how much money each man will make from the fight, but some early estimates are claiming Mayweather could take home as much as $100M. He made an absolute killing in the Conor McGregor fight too. So, if this goes well, you would have to think he might consider doing a few more of these exhibitions. With that said, it's not happening in the way some believed it would, as the official rules for the event spurred many reactions from those who assumed this would be similar to a standard boxing match.

According to the official rules (via ESPN) for the boxing exhibition between Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather, the two will fight for eight three-minute rounds. Paul will be limited to 190 pounds (and fined $100k for every pound he weighs in over), the two will use 12 oz gloves and no headgear, and knockouts are allowed with fight stoppage at a referee's discretion. Then there's the rule that there will be no declared winner or judges present to keep score between rounds, which has spurred all types of reactions, including regarding the legitimacy of this boxing match.

Some fans are understandably upset at the late announcement that no winner will be decided for the match. While some may argue that a winner will be known to fans, part of the appeal of the mega-fight was that Logan Paul had a chance of blemishing Floyd Mayweather's perfect boxing record of 50-0. With the stakes removed, some have questioned the value of watching the fight altogether.

While exhibitions typically don't count towards an official record, many have questioned why judges won't be on hand to further validate the results of the exhibition. There's speculation that Mayweather, who hasn't fought since his bout with Conor McGregor in 2018 and is grossly undersized compared to Logan Paul, is afraid he could actually lose the fight.

Other sports fans speculated something far more sinister, namely that the rule could mean Floyd Mayweather plans to intentionally lose the bout to Logan Paul. You’re not going to believe this, but Jake Paul was running his mouth again. The social media showman turned boxing mega-star had some choice words for Floyd Mayweather ahead of the legend’s upcoming fight with his brother Logan Paul, and those choice words didn’t sit too well with Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe who called them the ‘dumbest comments’ he’s heard in some time. Now the businessman and the YouTuber are locked in their own war of words, and the circus surrounding Jake Paul is as loud, noisy and potentially lucrative as it has ever been. Let’s back up.

Logan Paul is set to fight Floyd Mayweather on June 6th. Jake Paul has obviously been all up in the pre-fight promotions because he’s good at it and also, he’s not going to pass up a chance to be part of the action. So, over the past few weeks, he’s given a steady stream of interviews, stolen Floyd Mayweather’s hat and boasted pretty consistently about how he’s upended the industry. During one of those interviews with CBS, Paul told the interviewer Mayweather needs the Paul Brothers more than they need him. Here’s the exact quote…

As someone directly involved in Floyd Mayweather’s business affairs, he strongly disagrees that the former boxing champion needs anyone’s help to put asses in seats. He fired back pretty quickly with his own assessment of the situation you can read below…

Floyd Mayweather has been involved in four of the five highest grossing pay per view events of all-time. He’s had success from a public interest standpoint at a level the Paul Brothers have not achieved; so, it’s easy to see why some people are rolling their eyes at the initial comments. That being said, it’s also fair to point out that Mayweather is retired, and adding the Paul Brothers to this equation has increased the interest surrounding his return to the ring. Jake Paul especially has been on an absolute heater lately, generating headline after headline after knocking out Nate Robinson, knocking out Ben Askren and signing a big deal with Showtime.

Floyd Mayweather is a heavy favorite going into his fight with Logan Paul. Depending on pay per view numbers, he should pocket a really healthy chunk of change for the match. Whether he slides back into retirement with a little more cash or tries to set up another fight at this point is unclear. Jake Paul, on the other hand, is definitely going to continue fighting and pissing people off on purpose because checks from the haters cash too.

Once the event was over, Jake Paul got in Floyd Mayweather's face. The two exchanged words briefly about scheduling a fight between the two of them, but then all hell broke loose when Paul grabbed Mayweather's hat and tried to make a break for it. A crowd swarmed shortly after, and readers can see the chaos that ensued soon after below.

While it initially didn't look like the two made that much contact before bodyguards got involved, an alternate angle of the fight told a different story. Jake Paul grabbed the hat and tried to make a quick exit, but as this angle revealed, he didn't get more than a few steps before Floyd Mayweather got him caught in a headlock.

Jake Paul has since gone to Twitter and claimed that he caught a punch to the eye from one of Floyd Mayweather's bodyguards. A clip has been circulating on the web of the aftermath of that shot, in which Paul can be seen being ushered away, holding his eye and continuing to taunt Mayweather as his voice cracked.

Jake Paul has been on social media, utilizing the moment to the fullest and making some truly outrageous claims in the process. For those who wanted to know why he decided to take the hat of one of the greatest fighters of all time, Paul tweeted the following:

It seems Jake Paul is still interested in taunting Floyd Mayweather by bringing up one of the more popular complaints fans have had over the course of his career. Paul also made the rather bold claim that Mayweather was so heated about the event, he sent people out to kill him.

Logan Paul has since posted a picture of the altercation, but there have been no posts from Floyd Mayweather about what went down. There's a part of me that feels the whole thing was a scripted moment to heighten hype for the fight, but given Mayweather's lack of a statement, perhaps Jake Paul really did push the champ too far?

Now that the date is set in stone, Twitter really opened up the floodgates with thoughts on how the fight could go down. The most obvious take so far is that Logan Paul has no chance against a living legend like Floyd Mayweather, who is 50-0 in his professional boxing career with 27 knockouts. For those unaware, Logan Paul has had one professional boxing match, and he lost it to another YouTuber by the name of KSI. Paul taking on someone like Mayweather, even at almost half his age, is a move some consider to be reckless.

Others have acknowledged that really the only one with something to lose in this is Floyd Mayweather, as Logan Paul comes out on top either way. Either the YouTuber makes millions of dollars (though the exact amount is disputed) and can claim he lost to the greatest boxer of all time, or he can win and claim he's the greatest.

As for Floyd Mayweather, a loss like this would tarnish his perfect boxing record in about the biggest way possible. It wouldn't just be a loss; it would be a loss to a fighter with only one prior fight on their record. It's hard to imagine Mayweather would take the fight unless he's absolutely positive he'd win, which may be why people have already made outrageous claims about what they'll do should Logan Paul actually pull off a victory.

Then there's the crowd who may have watched the Connor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather fight a few years back, and know there are no real losers in this event. Both fighters walked away from that matchup a good deal richer, and I'd imagine the same level of payday is in store for Logan Paul and Mayweather in this bout.

Really no one can say for sure who will win or if the fight will even happen. With a couple of months to go, there's still some time for a postponement or delay, which happened back in February when the fight was first teased. The two could delay things, though with Showtime attached and a venue booked, that feels unlikely.

We’re a little over a month away from Logan Paul’s boxing match with undefeated former champion Floyd Mayweather, and the possible consequences are finally starting to sink in for the controversial YouTube star. Not the possible consequences of getting in the ring with a professional boxer who beat most of the best fighters of his generation. What he’s worried about are the possible consequences of his brother pissing off Dana White because he’s a huge UFC fan who always wanted to get in the Octagon and now Dana White thinks they’re both idiots.

Logan Paul made the comments about Dana White, his brother Jake Paul and his lack of a UFC future during a recent episode of his Impaulsive podcast. He says they’re getting lumped in together, and he’s not happy about that because he has respect for the UFC. Here’s a portion of his quote…

The Paul Brothers have taken boxing by storm. They’ve generated tons of headlines and their fights have grossed millions of dollars. Jake Paul’s knockout of Nate Robinson on the undercard of the recent Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr fight was a really buzzed moment that crossed over beyond traditional boxing fans. To some, that’s a huge win for combat sports, but to others, like Dana White, it’s ultimately a sideshow. He’s repeatedly said Jake Paul, despite his best efforts, won’t be fighting former UFC champion Conor McGregor, and lately his comments have turned even more dismissive.

Say what you will about the Paul Brothers, but good or bad, they do not wait their turn. They jump into whatever they’re doing with tons of trash talk and they cut in line, or at least some people see their efforts as cutting in line. Think about it this way. There are fighters who spend decades training and slowly rising the ranks to eventually try to get a title shot or even one legitimate fight that makes money. Logan Paul has never won a boxing match and he’s getting a shot at Floyd Mayweather, who many consider one of the best fighters of all-time.

Conversely, however, there’s a strong case that could be made that their efforts in boxing are good for everyone. Ultimately what people want is more interest in boxing and larger purses. The Paul Brothers are bringing a lot of eyeballs to boxing right now (and a lot of money), and assumedly, some of those people are going to become actual boxing fans. In addition, the huge monetary success of the Paul/ Robinson and Tyson/ Jones card could provide a possible path forward for other pay per views. It attracted a ton of interest because it brought buyers who were interested in watching Mike Tyson and it brought a totally separate group of buyers who were interested in Jake Paul. Maybe we need more of these mixed cards, although contrary to what Logan Paul wants, I doubt any will include Chris Hemsworth.

Regardless, what Logan Paul needs to be focusing on right now is his fight with Floyd Mayweather. He doesn’t need to win. No one expects him to win (including his own brother), but for his own future in combat sports, it would behoove him to at least look decent so he can continue to set up more fights. People aren’t going to pay to watch someone lose over and over and over again, no matter how good they are at the hype machine.

It’s been a long few weeks of hearing how much Logan Paul is “actually” going to make for fighting Floyd Mayweather and the numbers related to the purse have varied wildly. Of course, after one journalist online seemingly spilled the beans, Logan Paul and his Impaulsive buddies ultimately decided to open up about the estimates, rumors and how much he is really making.

Here’s the gist: It was previously rumored that Logan Paul would be making something along the lines of $200K and 2% of the PPV intake for his role in the fight. The rumor also stated Floyd Mayweather was alleged to be guaranteed $5 million with 50% of the PPV sales. If you know anything about professional boxing for a big name like Floyd Mayweather, that’s a really low guaranteed number, though total intake always varies depending on how many people buy the fight.

Compared to Floyd Mayweather’s much hyped previous fight against Conor McGregor, which reportedly garnered him a $100 million guarantee and ultimately a $300 million paycheck when all was said and done, these are low numbers overall. Of course, Logan Paul isn’t a pro boxer and so his match against an ageing Floyd Mayweather should have a different sort of entertainment value. Therefore, I guess people were believing those rumored numbers, much to what seems to be the gang’s amusement, as they joked about it extensively on the podcast before getting down to the nitty gritty.

Interestingly, Logan Paul’s buddy Mike Majlak was seemingly totally fine with spilling the beans to Logan Paul's fans. During a recent Impaulsive podcast episode he said “fuck, you aren’t gonna say it, eight figures,” to which Logan Paul definitely looked a little uncomfortable. That news came after Majlak admitted he’d mentioned the number on his Twitch, and fans who watched that have said it’s like $10 million he’s making, which would square with the eight figures number: $10,000,000. It’s unclear if true if this would be Logan’s Pauls’ guaranteed take or what they are estimating he will make based on the rate of people signing up for the PPV fight.

As for whatever the honest answer in regards to Logan Paul and what the actual purse for the match ends up being, there is one thing he is being candid about: just how flipping cool it will be to fight Floyd Mayweather. In fact, he revealed on his podcast he’d do it for free.

Part of the reason the rumored numbers were so believable likely ties in with what Logan Paul says above, which is that the whole thing is good press for the YouTube star. It also makes more sense that Floyd Mayweather would be making more money in the fight, given Mayweather is the bigger draw here and that Logan Paul is not a professional boxer, though he does have some experience.

The match itself is currently going for $59.99 if you want to pre-order it, though those numbers are going to go up to $69.99 on February 11--which means more money in Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul’s pockets. The actual fight will be on February 20th. See you there.

There hasn’t been a lot of optimism about Logan Paul’s chances against Floyd Mayweather. He’s a huge underdog in Las Vegas. Professional fighters have given him no respect, and now his own brother has offered perhaps the bluntest assessment of his fate yet. Jake Paul, who has also spent some time in the ring recently, was asked how he thought his brother would do, and well, to put it nicely, let’s just say he’s not confident.

Jake Paul ran into a TMZ cameraman earlier this week who asked him about his brother’s chances. He did not hold back. He said Logan is “fucked” and that the entire fight is bad for the sport of boxing. You can check out a portion of his blunt quote below…

First of all, he’s not wrong. I’m not sure I would say it’s bad for boxing, but the cold hard truth is Logan Paul lost and tied against KSI, who is another YouTuber and not a professional fighter. Floyd Mayweather is 50-0 and considered by many to be one of the best pound-for-pound boxers, at least in a technical sense, in history. Yes, he’s smaller, older and has been retired for awhile, but the skill level here shouldn’t even be close.

Second of all, I’m a little surprised at how bluntly Jake Paul seems to be taking shit to Logan Paul here, at least in terms of how his own fighting abilities measure up. Logan previously took some shots at Jake's attempts to get in the ring with Conor McGregor, but that seemed to be more from a concerned about his safety angle. The above quote almost sounds like Jake is trying to get his brother in the ring. The Paul Brothers know how to make headlines and that would certainly make headlines, and brothers have scrapped in hockey before. That being said, I’m not really sure that fight would get either of them anywhere. The pay per view buys wouldn’t expand outside their own fanbase, and if Logan Paul loses to Floyd Mayweather (which he almost certainly will), I’m not really sure there’s going to be a big market for him getting back in the ring.

All that being said, I do think Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul will do pretty solid business. Mayweather is responsible for many of the most lucrative fights in boxing history, and the Paul brothers have done pretty well so far too. Both men should bring an entirely different audience to the table, and you would have to think some people will tune in just to watch the sideshow nature of the broadcast. Paul will reportedly only take home a fraction of the total purse, but a fraction of Mayweather sized purse may still be larger than the lion’s share of a smaller purse.

The Mayweather/ Paul fight is currently scheduled for February 20th. Given all that time, it’s likely we’ll get plenty of more brother-on-brother trash talk, and if history is any indication, Mayweather will get in there at some point and verbally mix it up himself. He’s got a long history of selling fights, and if the insults ever turn toward him, he’s not just going to sit there and take it.

As more and more major names head to OnlyFans -- and some previously unknown names get popular -- the platform has only become more and more fascinating. We’ve heard a few stats about how some high earners like Bella Thorne and Tyga have earned a bunch of money in just a few days, but what are other earners taking home monthly? Well, thanks to Logan Paul and Belle Delphine, our eyes have been opened a little more to what the platform can do for some enterprising individuals.

Logan Paul and Belle Dauphine were casually chit-chatting about filming her first adult movie for OnlyFans when the topic of money came out. Belle Delphine, whose real name is Mary-Belle Kirschner, spoke out about being a higher earner on the platform thanks to commanding impressive fees. But the more important note she probably made was revealing how much she’s pulling in per month. She noted:

And if you wonder whether or not $1 million a month on OnlyFans is normal, normal is probably not the correct word. That’s a big number, and Logan Paul’s buddy Mike Majlak, who also appears on the Impaulsive podcast, notes that the other women he’s learned about OnlyFans deals from are only making about half what Belle Delphine says she is raking in per month--and they were high earners too.

Honestly, if Belle Delphine is able to command $35 a month from a large enough pool of people, that could lead to the big numbers she's alluding to. Heck, Cardi B’s only charging $4.99 a month to get the scoop on all her musings. Aaron Carter’s charging $20 bucks a month. Bella Thorne is charging $10 and her sister Kaili Thorne is charging $4.99. It seems to be working out pretty well for Belle though. To bundle she even only gives a 5% discount.

She later told Logan Paul that she didn’t want to “flex,” but that Only Fans had been transparent with her that she was responsible for the largest withdrawal in one swoop on the engagement platform. She really didn’t want to get into it, but with a little coaxing, she did say she once took out $2 million at once.

Meanwhile, Logan Paul’s obviously not doing too shabbily himself. The famous YouTube star has made millions of dollars on the platform, as has his brother Jake. However, he’s looking to expanding his mini empire by getting into fighting and has a match set up with Floyd Mayweather in February of 2021 that should bring some eyeballs to his career and some additional moolah.

Much has been made about YouTube star Logan Paul’s decision to fight undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, but if you ask him, the risk there is nothing compared to his brother antagonizing former UFC Champion Conor McGregor. In fact, Logan Paul took his brother Jake to task recently, saying he’s dumb and going to get himself seriously hurt stepping into the ring. Obviously he was almost immediately roasted by his Impaulsive co-hosts for criticizing him and stepping in the ring with Mayweather, but he feels it’s very different.

The conversation took place during the Impaulsive episode that dropped earlier this week. Paul and company played the recent clip of Jake Paul calling out Conor McGregor and taking shots at his wife. None of it sat very well with Logan Paul who took some shots at his brother for picking on the wrong person. Here’s a portion of his quote…

Obviously Logan Paul is extremely biased here, but there are certainly a few things that could be said about his point. First, Floyd Mayweather’s success in boxing is largely due to how quick he is and how great his instincts are. It is really, really hard to hit him. As such, his game plan is almost always to tire out his opponent, avoid getting hit and take over and really dominate in the later rounds. Because of that, his highlight reel isn’t really filled with a lot of scary knockouts. He just outboxes people, and Paul feels because he’s 43 and doesn’t regularly box anymore, the worst case scenario isn’t that bad.

Conor McGregor, on the other hand, is one of the most dangerous strikers in the history of the UFC. Some of his knockouts are legendary, and he has really hurt people in the ring. He’s also significantly younger than Mayweather, and he seems to take things very personally. So, to Logan Paul, the potential downside to stepping in the ring with McGregor is way worse because there could be potential for a serious injury.

All of that is absolutely true. To a certain extent, I agree with his points, but at the same time, Floyd Mayweather is one of the greatest boxers in history, and he easily defeated Conor McGregor a few years ago. It’s unclear if he was even fully trying during that match; so, it’s completely fair to wonder how Logan Paul could possibly survive multiple rounds.

Over the last several years, the Paul Brothers have proven very good at both generating controversy and making money. The publicity, good, bad or terrible, they are able to generate is incredible. Jake Paul’s recent knockout of ex-NBA player Nate Robinson was the leading topic of conversation on Twitter for hours, and the PPV money poured in. It’s hard to imagine Logan Paul and Mayweather won’t put up huge numbers too, though he allegedly won’t see as much of it as Floyd.

I highly doubt the McGregor/ Paul fight will ever happen. UFC promoter Dana White doesn’t want it, but if Logan Paul is to be believed, that’s a good thing for his brother’s health. We'll see how this plays out moving forward, but if history is any indication, Jake Paul probably isn't going to keep his opinions and his taunts to himself no matter who they're about.

In one of the most unlikely athletic competitions ever, retired boxing legend Floyd Mayweather is getting back in the ring to take on popular and controversial YouTube star Logan Paul. The fight is scheduled to take place on February 20, and it is expected to put up some big pay-per-view numbers. Both of the fighters will reportedly see a percentage of that PPV money, but if the latest rumors are to be believed, Money Mayweather will see significantly more of that purse than Paul.

The first report of the alleged monetary figures came from Drama Alert and its host and creator Keemstar. The well-established YouTube channel boasts almost 6 million subscribers and covers the latest in YouTube/ TikTok/ Instagram/ new media celebrity comings and goings. During the channel’s most recent report, Keem outlined the alleged money breakdown on the fight. He claims Mayweather will be paid a guaranteed $5M upfront, as well as 50% of all the PPV sales, while Paul will allegedly only be paid $200,000 up front and make 5% of all the PPV sales.

It’s not a surprise Mayweather would be making more money for the fight (if the report is indeed accurate). He reportedly took home almost $300M (on a $100M guarantee) for his fight with UFC legend Conor McGregor, and his career prior to that was littered with gigantic purses for fights with big names like Manny Pacquiao and Oscar De La Hoya. He’s, at least to most people, the bigger name and certainly has the longer history of negotiating PPV splits, but both Logan Paul and his brother Jake Paul have started proving there is a market for them too.

Earlier this year, Jake Paul knocked out Nate Robinson on the undercard of a fight between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr that generated 1.6M PPV buys, and prior to that both Paul brothers fought on the same card against KSI and Deji Olatunji and did 1.3M PPV buys. That’s really impressive, but compared to the 5M plus buys Mayweather has put up for some of his bigger fights, there’s still a long way to go.

It’s pretty easy to see why Mayweather would come out of retirement for this fight: easy money. The career 50-0 former champion might have a height, weight and age disadvantage, but he’s also a real boxer with one of the most impressive resumes ever. It’s hard to imagine he won’t score a pretty straightforward victory, and if he can put up some big PPV numbers, the upside here is tremendous. From Paul’s perspective, he can certainly earn some solid money here and it’ll increase his fame, but if he gets beat up too badly, it might hurt his chances of booking more fights in the future. Most people won’t pay to watch someone lose more than a few times.

That being said, it’s important to once again be very clear that we’re only dealing with rumors right now. While I would be very surprised if Mayweather didn’t make quite a bit more money, we don’t know the actual monetary breakdown with certainty. So, until this gets officially confirmed, definitely treat these exact numbers with at least a little bit of suspicion.

If there’s one thing the viewing public enjoys, it’s seeing celebrities head into the ring with skilled athletes. Most recently, fight fans witnessed YouTube star Jake Paul go toe to toe with NBA vet Nate Robinson, which ended with Robinson losing by knockout in the second round. One thing that can certainly be said is that the fight stands to bring in a lot of revenue. The popularity of the two fighters paired with the growing interest in these kinds of exhibition matches could bode well for the event.

There’s no guarantee that Logan Paul will lose to Floyd Mayweather when they enter the ring, as anyone can win on any given night. Still, he might want to prepare himself, as the 43-year-old Mayweather is likely to bring his best when they finally meet.

YouTube star Logan Paul has generated his fair share of shocking news, but the latest reported development in his career is one that fans may have been able to see coming if the stars all aligned for him. Numerous reports this month have placed the 25-year-old Paul in an upcoming boxing match with none other than Floyd Mayweather. Yes, really.

Although Logan Paul (brother of fellow YouTube star and boxing enthusiast Jake Paul) has participated in boxing matches in the past (chronicling his journey on his YouTube channel), Floyd Mayweather is a formidable opponent for a fight, to the point that it's somewhat difficult to believe that the 43-year-old former Olympian who retired with an undefeated record in the ring would come out of retirement just to box a YouTube star. Here's how the story is unfolding.

YouTube user Keemstar, a.k.a. Daniel Keem, hit Twitter on September 16 with the report of Logan Paul vs. Floyd Mayweather, posting:

The post cited a "boxing insider" on the news, which is surprising enough that Daniel Keem actually included "No joke" in his post. While he didn't get into specifics in breaking the reported news on Twitter, this wasn't actually the first time that reports began to circulate in September that Logan Paul will be boxing Floyd Mayweather.

Back on September 12, Mike Feinberg of The Fighting News claimed to have actually seen an image of the Floyd Mayweather's signed contract to participate in a match against Logan Paul, saying:

No details have emerged about what kind of money would be in this reported exhibition match between Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul, but I'm going to go ahead and assume that there is quite a lot. Although Mike Feinberg was clearly doubtful that there will be much of a fight actually happening before Mayweather takes Paul down, he's certainly correct that Paul has a lot of followers. At the time of writing, he has 22.4 million subscribers to his YouTube page.

A fight between Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather isn't entirely out of the blue either, despite the discrepancy in their levels of experience and ability. Following his second loss to KSI back in 2019, Paul shared a tweet challenging Mayweather:

If a boxing match really does happen between Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul, I think Paul can count on Mayweather bringing it! Interestingly, Mayweather teased on Instagram that he would be returning to the boxing world in 2020 with "another spectacular event" back in November 2019 as well, although I have my doubts that he was referring to a fight with Logan Paul. He used the hashtag #UFC and was pictured with UFC President Dana White, and the reported match between Paul and Mayweather was repeatedly described as "exhibition."

So, will Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather really take the ring to face off against each other, and how much money would be involved? I don't doubt that a fight between them could generate a lot of revenue, and critics of Logan Paul might be as willing to check it out as fans. Professional wrestling has long had a tradition of bringing in professional athletes to take part in big marquee matches. Back in the height of the "Monday Night Wars," WCW took advantage of the on-court animosity between Karl Malone and Dennis Rodman during the 1998 NBA Finals for a tag-team match at the Bash at the Beach event. WWE (then-WWF) has done it time and time again with everyone from Super Bowl champ Rob Gronkowski to basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal, and now it looks like former NFL punter and current talkshow host Pat McAfee will be joining their ranks.

As the wrestling world anxiously awaits in-ring debut of the longtime Indianapolis Colts punter against former NXT Champion Adam Cole at NXT Takeover XXX, now is the perfect time to look back at some of the biggest names in the sports world who made a major appearance in the professional wrestling.

Pat McAfee

Pat McAfee hasn't technically made his in-ring debut with WWE's NXT brand, but the two-time Pro Bowl punter has been a major part of a storyline involving his upcoming Takeover opponent Adam Cole more than two years after caused the Undisputed Era leader a victory at an Indianapolis house show. The feud went mainstream in July 2020, when Cole appeared as a guest on McAfee's podcast and the two did what so many of the greats before them did, they had a blowup that blurred the line between reality and kayfabe (wrestling make-believe) and sent the internet ablaze. Not long after, the two got into another heated discussion at a taping of NXT which ended with McAfee punting Cole's head. The match between the two was made official the next day.

Dennis Rodman

There has never been a professional athlete better suited to enter the world of professional wrestling than five-time NBA Champion Dennis Rodman, who was part of two major WCW pay-per-view matches at the height of his career. Starting in March 1997, the colorful defensive mastermind of the Chicago Bulls formed a lasting bond with NWO leader Hollywood Hulk Hogan and even served as his tag-team partner in a losing effort at that year's Bash at the Beach. Rodman would return the following year for another match as Hogan's partner, this time squaring up against his NBA Finals opponent Karl Malone, who teamed with Diamond Dallas Page. The match wasn't anything to write home about, but back in the summer of 1998, it was all anyone could talk about and resulted in a great number of the pay-per-view buys for the company's big summer event.

Karl Malone

Dennis Rodman may have been effective as a heel, but his 1998 Bash at the Beach opponent Karl Malone seemed to be more up to task for the wrestling side of the performance instead of the sensationally effective heel work (there's no question that Rodman was the biggest villain in the league at the time). Like I said earlier, their tag-team match wasn't must-watch television by any means, but WCW wasn't really known for its ring work at the time, except for the outstanding and underutilized cruiserweight division. Rodman, the NWO, and millions of wrestling fans around the world knew that Malone was serious about his commitment as soon as they saw him enter the ring and treat the match the same way he'd treat an NBA Finals matchup.

Shaquille O'Neal

It should be no surprise that Shaquille O'Neal has been involved with professional wrestling throughout his career, but it's crazy that he has only had one match, especially for someone who would have fit in so well back in his glory days. Sure, Shaq made a few appearances here and there in the 1990s and beyond, but he didn't officially enter the squared circle until WrestleMania 32 where he participated in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and had a confrontation with Big Show before being eliminated by a large group of wrestlers. It looked like the two would meet face-to-face for real the following year at WrestleMania 33, but nothing came of it.

Rob Gronkowski

Rob Gronkowski is undoubtedly more well-known for being a three-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots or his appearance as the "White Tiger" on The Masked Singer Season 3, but the lifelong wrestling fan has shown up on WWE television multiple times throughout his career and is even a one-time champion. "Gronk" first appeared at WrestleMania 33, where he helped his real-life friend and WWE superstar Mojo Rawley secure a victory in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. He would show up again three years later to host the two-night WrestleMania 36, during which he would become the 24/7 Champion, a title he would until being pinned in his backyard by R-Truth two months later.

Ronda Rousey

Unlike just about everyone else on this list, former UFC champion Ronda Rousey had a lengthy run in WWE, during which time she was involved in one of the best matches at WrestleMania 34 and was a part of the first female-headlined WrestleMania the following year in her triple threat match against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. During that time, Rousey had a series of stellar matches against everyone from Alexa Bliss (who she squashed at SummerSlam 2018 to secure the Raw Women's Championship), Sasha Banks, Bayley, and the aforementioned Lynch and Flair. With only one loss during her one-year run at the top of the division, Rousey cemented herself in the hallowed halls of wrestling history.

Floyd Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather is another one of those personalities from the world of professional sports that was made for wrestling, and that became a reality in 2008 when the undefeated boxing superstar went up against the much larger Big Show for a no-disqualification match at WrestleMania 24. Held right before the main event World Heavyweight Championship match between Edge and The Undertaker, the Mayweather/Big Show spectacle played out more like a cartoon than a wrestling match and mostly consisted of the boxer trying to escape the reach of the giant grappler and depended upon his entourage to distract his opponent and secure a victory.

Lawrence Taylor

Two-time Super Bowl champ and Pro Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor has the distinct honor of being the only professional athlete on this list to secure a victory in the main event at a WrestleMania. Two years after his career on the gridiron came to a close, Taylor found himself in the middle of a feud with the late Bam Bam Bigelow following an interaction ringside at the 1995 Royal Rumble. Gearing up for their main event singles match at WrestleMania 11, the two opponents, and the show overall, received a great deal of mainstream press considering that one of the biggest stars of the NFL of the 1980s and early 90s was in the final bout at the "Grandaddy of the All."

Mike Tyson

Boxer Mike Tyson's appearance as the guest enforcer at WrestleMania 14 in 1998 not only helped cement the legacy of WWF's Attitude Era, it also helped usher in Stone Cold Steve Austin's reign as WWF Champion and the biggest star in the world of professional wrestling. Leading up to the match between Austin and then champion Shawn Michaels, Tyson appeared to be in Michaels' corner and was constantly getting into arguments and physical confrontations with the Texas Rattlesnake. That partnership didn't last as Tyson turned on the Heartbreak Kid and revealed an Austin 3:16 shirt before helping Austin secure a victory, creating one of the most iconic moments in wrestling.

Muhammad Ali

It is mostly forgotten now, but boxing legend Muhammad Ali once entered a wrestling ring against the great Japanese wrestler Antonio Inoki for an unscripted exhibition match in 1976. The bout, which was held in Tokyo, was the subject of controversy at the time due to the odd set of rules Ali's camp forced Inoki to agree upon for the match to take place. In the one-on-one contest, Inoki was barred from performing any wrestling moves, so he laid flat on the ground and kicked Ali throughout the match that ended in a draw. Due to the number of kicks received during the fight, two blood clots formed in Ali's legs, which according to The Los Angeles Times, almost resulted in an amputation due to an infection.

The Muhammad Ali/Antonio Inoki fight might have been seen as a farce at the time, and almost ended badly for the former world champion boxer, but its legacy is still felt today in the world of Mixed Martial Arts, especially in Japan. Over the weekend, one of the biggest sporting events in the world took place, and I'm not talking about the NFL preseason game between the L.A. Chargers and the L.A. Rams. The pay-per-view boxing bout between undefeated champ Floyd Mayweather and UFC champ Conor McGregor raked in a truckload of money for all involved, but it also raked in a ton of complaints about delays and outages due to so many people attempting to watch the fight at once. As such, Showtime Networks announced that it will give full refunds to customers verified to have been unable to watch.

This was apparently a case where over-saturation and ill-equipped tech worked against everyone, and some Showtime users faced delays that pushed the telecast's start time back ten minutes or more. It was apparently worse for some customers than others, and it's those most unfortunate fans that Showtime will look at case by case to see if the full $99.99 refund will be deemed necessary. For what it's worth, according to Variety, Showtime's senior VP of Communications Chris DeBlasio claimed there were a "very limited number of complaints overall," so perhaps the network won't need to deal with too many full refunds.

It's not a "catch," exactly, but it should be known that the $99.99 refunds will apparently only be considered by Showtime Networks if viewers went through the specific direct-to-customer services. That means not-so-great news for anyone who purchased the fight through UFC Fight Pass and was eventually directed to Showtime's website following the Fight Pass site outage. Showtime made it clear that for cases like that, along with anyone who first purchased the fight through any other cable or satellite providers, refund requests must me made specifically with those companies.

Some have gone public with claims that UFC denied them refunds, and the company has yet to make any official stance on the matter at the time of this writing. Meanwhile, one pissed-off customer filed a lawsuit in Portland, Oregon against Showtime, aiming to make it a class-action suit to include others who also felt they got far less than their money's worth with the fight.

Those who did get to watch Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor go gloves-to-gloves got to see a fight that, in some ways, stood up to what fans were actually hoping for, in that it actually lasted 10 rounds and wasn't just an hour of dancing. Though McGregor eventually lost by TKO in Round 10, and looked particularly bereft of energy when it was finished, he actually fared better than many of Mayweather's recent opponents on the stat sheets, including Manny Pacquiao.

While the fight itself may not have been one for the ages, the mass amount of attention devoted to the crossover match was definitely notable. The fight was even shown in movie theaters for those unwilling to drop the dough for the home-viewing; as well as for those theaters to get a piece of the profits themselves. And much focus has been placed on how much money the athletes themselves made, with Floyd Mayweather reportedly earning $100 million, with Conor McGregor pocketing something around $30 million.

We're not going to get another fight like Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor any time soon -- especially since the undefeated boxer announced he was hanging up his gloves -- but there will always been more boxing and UFC events to dive into in the future, complete with incessant shit-talking and grandstanding. As for availability of locations, there's certainly no shortage of theaters showing the major sporting event. In fact, most major cities between Los Angeles and New York have tickets available. If you happen to have a screening near you, then this is likely an event that you won't want to miss when the punches finally start to fly.

With regards to pricing, seeing the fight in a theater could potentially be a steal -- depending on how many people you plan on watching with. Watching the fight at home on pay-per-view will cost roughly $100, and a single ticket to watch the match in the arena could run you anywhere from $500 to $10,000. By comparison, a $40 ticket for the silver screen showing doesn't seem so bad.

As excited as we are to see Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor face off on the silver screen, it is also not surprising to see Fathom Events put on a show like this. With more people opting not to go to the movies for traditional films (for a variety of reasons), alternative content like live sports, theater productions, and even animated films (particularly DC Animation's recent theatrical release of The Killing Joke) has helped carve out a new niche. The silver screen is not just for conventional movies anymore; it can also specifically cater to people looking for something slightly different in their local movie theater.

One of the biggest feuds that we'll likely never see come to fruition in real life is the one between “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey and Floyd “Money” Mayweather. The two super-athletes are at the top of their game in their respective sports but one gamer wanted to see how they would fair against each other in Street Fighter IV.

Using mods, YouTuber Richie Branson matched up Rousey and Mayweather in Street Fighter IV and you can see the results below, as spotted by Kotaku.

Branson plans on releasing the skin mods for the PC version of Street Fighter IV soon, enabling gamers to download and play as their favorite real life fighters in Capcom's popular one-on-one fighting game.

A lot of people were also all-in on that sick beat that played in the background, and Branson linked to the free tune that you can download over on his website.

The mod itself isn't all that special, other than Cammy's cool looking getup, which actually almost looks like something Rousey would wear. However, the conversation following the display of the mod is what's interesting.

It's a super-fight discussion that most people know will never happen but they want to speculate anyway. It's a little like Mike Tyson versus Brock Lesnar or Stone Cold Steve Austin versus Bill Goldberg; fantasy match-ups that are either restricted by promotion differences, age differences or gender differences.

In this case, Floyd Mayweather came off a huge win against Manny Pacquiao earlier in the year, and Ronda Rousey continues her undefeated streak in the UFC as Dana White's golden child. The two exchanging some verbal jabs at each other in the media has led to many discussions about who would win between the two, culminating in fantasy exhibitions like the one featured in Street Fighter IV above.

However, if I have to be honest I don't think Balrog best exhibits an accurate portrayal of Mayweather at all since the character was originally mirrored after Mike Tyson (and in Japan his name is actually M. Bison as a play on the Mike Tyson name). Despite being a wrestler, El Fuerte probably would have been a slightly more accurate portrayal of Mayweather only because he moves around a lot and attempts to avoid being hit with a lot of fancy footwork.

Anyway, fight fans who have longed for a fantasy match-up between Ronda Rousey and Floyd Mayweather can at least vicariously get their kicks through Branson's Street Fighter IV mod.

If you decided not to fork over $100 to watch the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Manny Pacquiao fight this weekend, you can do the next best thing: watch a reenactment of the match in classic Nintendo game Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!.

Manny Pacquiao is cast in the role of Little Mac. Before he can challenge Mayweather, he has to agree to a long list of demands such as being paid less than his opponent.

After some dithering about the contract, Little Pac finally agrees to the match. While Punch-Out! players can usually expect gut punches, uppercuts and explosive knockouts, the Mayweather-Pacquiao ends up being nothing of the sort. Mayweather hugs Pacquiao for one round and then simply plays defense for the next ten.

"This must be really boring to casual fans," Pacquiao says after the 11th round.

"It doesn't matter. We already got their money," Mayweather replies.

"Boxing is dead."

"It doesn't matter. We already got their money."

At the start of the final round, Mayweather winds up like he's about to unleash some fierce combo. Instead, he lightly taps Pacquiao with his fist. Fight over. Mayweather wins. Referee Mario sums up the fight perfectly:

Mayweather then thanks the audience for their $100 and advises that they protect themselves.

The parody obviously simplifies things but it's pretty dead-on. Mayweather won a unanimous decision after 12 rounds of essentially playing defense. He blocked Pacquiao's biggest punches and then responded with accurate jabs. It might have been technically proficient boxing but it was fairly dull to anyone who wasn't a hardcore fan of the sport. I'd imagine most viewers' response was, "Did I really spend $100 on pay-per-view and stay up this late to watch THIS?"

Also, the negotiations were as drawn-out in real life as they were in the Punch-Out! parody. Mayweather and Pacquiao have been trying to get this fight organized since 2009. Negotiations stalled out a few times due to a range of petty issues. As the video suggested, Mayweather will make a lot more money off the fight, too. Mayweather will be paid around $180 million while Pacquiao earns around $120 million.

SNL aired their own parody of the fight as well this weekend. It's another good way to laugh off your disappointment over the fight.

The Floyd Mayweather, Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao superfight has been a long time coming, and people around the world are expected to tune in for Saturday’s big fight. In Pacquiao’s home country of the Philippines, the fight should be heavily watched. However, due to power outages the country has been suffering, there is expected to be a power deficit during the big Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight. The solution? An electric company is stressing that citizens should turn off all major appliances.

We’re not talking just avoiding running dishwashers and various laundry appliances. The Filipino electric company Palawan Electric Cooperative has advised residents living in the area to shut off all of the big stuff that requires power. Which means residents should forget air conditioning. Oh, and, go ahead and unplug refrigerators, because fresh food isn’t important when there is one of the biggest fights of all-time on. Here’s the direct quote the power company's secretary Rante Ramos told ESPN on the topic.

The electricity problem during the fight is a legitimate concern. In the area, the fight is scheduled for between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sunday. During that time, the power deficit is expected to be at least two megawatts in Palawan. Local malls, department store and hotels have already said they would use their own power generators during that time to help the cause. There are few athletes in the world as popular as Pacquiao, and if his home country missed his opportunity to knock out the polarizing Floyd Mayweather, fans would never let the electric company forget it. It's one thing for the TV/ lights to go out on a random Tuesday afternoon. It's another thing for it to happen right in the middle of the sporting event of the year. That's a story angry fight fans would tell their grandchildren, especially if Mayweather gets knocked out.

It might seem weird to ask people to shut off power for a sporting event, but this is no ordinary sporting event. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and there's a very good chance a high percentage of people will comply with the request.

The Floyd Mayweather/ Manny Pacquiao fight will air on HBO/ Showtime Pay Per View on Saturday May 2nd. If you're not interested in shelling out the $99 to watch it in your own home, chances are you'll be able to find the slugfest at a local sports bar. Just expect to pay a healthy cover or at least be subjected to a 2 drink minimum.

Floyd “Money” Mayweather is known for turning some heads with his eccentric behavior and aggressive opinions, but today, he shocked even his biggest supporters when he went off on his ex-fiancée about abortions during a social media rant. More specifically, he went off on Shantel Jackson for supposedly choosing to abort their unborn twins without his consent, telling the world that’s why he actually broke up with her.

The shocking scene happened this morning on Instagram. Mayweather has since airbrushed the correspondence in question, but he wasn’t able to do so before numerous outlets were able to take a screenshot of what he said.

Abortion is a highly sensitive topic. There are plenty of people who agree on almost everything and can’t find common ground there. That being said, I think an overwhelming majority of people could agree accusing a woman publicly of having an abortion is out of bounds. Whether you believe in a woman’s right to choose or not, she should have the right to be as open and as secretive as she wants about a decision like that.

Of course, Jackson wasn’t willing to just let that comment hang out there without response. So, she loaded up her own gun and fired back, claiming it was stuff like this that caused her to walk out on the relationship.

At this point, it’s unclear whether the couple had an argument ahead of his post, whether he just found out what happened or whether he was just randomly mad about it and wanted the world to know. Apart from these comments, neither one of them is speaking on the record about what happened. A conspiracy theorist might say it’s all clever promotion for Money’s fight this weekend, but that seems like a really low blow to try and drum up interest. Plus, he’s had some problems with controlling his temper around women in stressful situations in the past.

Regardless, here’s to hoping for everyone’s sake these two start getting along a little better or at least keep their dirty laundry out of the spotlight.
