Oh Mylanta! I’m not normally the type of fan that second guesses what a movie or tv show would have been like had another actor been cast in a specific role, but as a superfan of both Saturday Night Live and Full House, I have to admit I’m spiraling right now. I just found out that a few years before Lorne Michaels brought him to Studio 8H, David Spade was called in to read for the part of Joey Gladstone.

Apparently Spade has mentioned his audition before, but I wasn’t aware of it until I listened to the comedian’s appearance on Esquire’s What I’ve Learned earlier today. Host Michael Sebastian asked Spade if it was true he almost played Joey, and I let out an audible, “Have Mercy!” The Joe Dirt star verified it happened and even gave some insight into his audition. Here’s a portion of his quote…

I love Spade, but it’s hard to imagine him being a fit on Full House. Dave Coulier, who got the Joey role, projects extreme sincerity, which is the hallmark of the show itself. It’s all about learning lessons and connecting as a family, whether you’re related by blood or just by love.

Spade, on the other hand, is all about insincerity. He’s best when he’s sliding in little comments and second-guessing everything going on around him. It’s hard for me to imagine how any of it would have blended together, except I’m positive his scenes with noted weirdo Kimmy Gibbler would have been electric.

We have no idea if producers ever seriously considered him, but he said he knows he definitely was close to landing something on In The Heat Of The Night. That’s not really a show that’s talked about a ton anymore, but it was a police procedural that ran from 1988 to 1995. Perhaps more notably, it was Carroll O’Connor’s follow-up to All In The Family/ Archie Bunker’s Place. Had Spade been cast, he likely never would have had that amazing run on SNL (or Just Shoot Me) and may have seen his career go down an entirely separate path since the show had a much more serious tone.

Full House ran for eight seasons and unlike In The Heat Of The Night, remains very culturally relevant. Reruns of the sitcom were broadcast very consistently for decades, and more recently, Netflix even gave us five seasons of a spinoff following the next generation called Fuller House. I’ve seen every single episode of both shows. I wouldn’t change a thing about the cast, but I would pay more money than I’d care to share for an alternate universe DVD set of the show featuring Spade exchanging, “You got it, dudes” with the Olsen Twins.

Multiple generations now have grown up with Full House’s Tanner family, and let’s not pretend that we haven’t all thought about what it would be like to live in that iconic Victorian home on San Francisco’s slanted Steiner Street. Full House creator Jeff Franklin bought the house in 2016 and had visions of turning our dreams into a reality by renovating that famous property into a Full House vacation rental experience. Jodie Sweetin explained why it never came to be.

Of course, Full House and later Fuller House were not filmed in San Francisco. The set we know so well, with that wraparound staircase, was far too big for that little Victorian house, but the property became famous from the TV show’s opening credits, which showed the exterior of the famous “Painted Ladies.” Jodie Sweetin, aka Stephanie Tanner, said as much as she told Bob the Drag Queen on his Only Child podcast about what was once planned for the home, saying:

I’m honestly trying to imagine what a scaled-back version of Danny Tanner’s family home would look like, and all I know is that it would be impeccably clean.

Jeff Franklin even apparently got the cast members to come in to make their mark on the property … before things turned sour. Jodie Sweetin continued:

The actress said the house was actually a “nightmare” for it owners and their neighbors, due to how many tourists it attracts to San Francisco’s “Postcard Row.” Neighbors complained to the city about an endless stream of people traipsing around their neighborhood, taking photos of the famous house.

And in a super obnoxious (but kind of funny) move, some fans would apparently drive by the houses blasting the Full House theme song at full volume. It got so bad that, according to Jodie Sweetin:

Jeff Franklin’s Full House Airbnb would seemingly have only brought more attention to the area. Throw in a busted gas line that made the situation better for no one, and Franklin's vision was never fully realized. He ended up selling the house in 2020.

We may not ever get to spend the night in the Full House house, but at least we’ll always have the Tanners. All eight seasons of the beloved sitcom are available to stream with a Hulu subscription, while Fuller House can be found with a Netflix subscription.

In the history of TV families, Full House stands out as a beloved property that has been fondly remembered for decades, and that eventually even led to the Fuller House spinoff. Of course, even the best of families can be messy. Jodies Sweetin and Candace Cameron Bure, for example, have had some public clashes. Or, there’s the time the Olsen twins declined to participate in the revival show. Sweetin was asked about this and more in a recent interview, and her take on the entire matter is quite a bit refreshing.

When It Comes To The Olsens, Sweetin Feels A Lot Of Empathy

Jodie Sweetin spent her formative years on the set of Full House, but she told Bob The Drag Queen in a recent interview the girls were much younger when they kicked off their TV careers. What followed was a whirlwind of fame and money, but looking from the outside, she personally feels Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were overworked.

They didn’t have the same choice to be in the industry she feels she had as a younger person. On her end, the struggles in her career actually came as her years as a child actor were ending. She wasn’t sure what she would do as an adult, but she also didn’t have the millions of eyeballs following her every single moment in public her onscreen sisters did.

She’s not really surprised Mary-Kate and Ashley ultimately left the industry. (Mostly, Mary-Kate had a few roles as an adult.) Time passed and the cast grew apart. Sweetin opened up about finally seeing the Olsens at Bob Saget’s funeral in 2022, and how she feels about their relationship changing over time.

Everyone reunited in 2022 at Bob Saget's "punk rock shiva," which also featured appearances from fellow comedians like Dave Chappelle and Jeff Ross, his pal John Mayer, and the dudes in the Full House cast. Since then, they've gone their separate ways again. Unlike the older gang, Sweetin thinks the age gap is one of the reasons the girls separated themselves from the rest of the Full House cast, who really have supported one another publicly and came together for the revival, which is still available to watch with a Netflix subscription.

Now, just because Sweetin doesn’t feel any ill will towards the twins doesn’t mean there aren’t occasionally differences of opinion and disagreements within the cast. Candace Cameron Bure’s exit from Hallmark and comments about “traditional marriage” did inspire Sweetin to speak out against her co-star a while back. They obviously have appeared together at events since, but sometimes a full house can lead to conflict.

How Jodie Sweetin Feels About Candace Cameron Bure Now

Sweetin has previously said she has a different viewpoint than Bure. Back in 2022, Candace posted her comments about “traditional marriage” and Sweetin followed up with her own comments about being an LGBTQ ally. Fuller House had ended its run by that point, and both had moved on to new projects, but they managed to reunite at ‘90s Con some months later.

The actress has a very pragmatic approach to her relationship with her former co-star, noting she knows who she is as a person. But she also knows who Bure is.

For her part, Bure has said it's all "love" with her Full and Fuller House family. She knows from the outside, it can seem like they "bicker," but she seems grateful to still be a part of the group and show that set the tone of her career. While the Olsens don't always participate, it seems like it's all love from Sweetin there, too.

It’s hard to believe it’s been four years since we lost the great comedian Bob Saget. The former stand-up comic and star of Full House died in a tragic accident four years ago today, and several of his co-stars, Candace Cameron Bure, John Stamos and Dave Coulier, took a moment to remember him on this unfortunate anniversary.

Bure took to Instagram and posted a collection of photos of herself and Saget. Some of them are more recent, from the period in and around the Fuller House reboot, but a couple of these are true throwbacks to when Candace Cameron Bure was just a kid named Candace Cameron. It’s a relationship that has spanned most of her life, and seeing it in pictures is equal parts heartwarming and heartbreaking.

Bob Saget is one of those performers that a generation grew up watching, and so it felt like they knew the man personally. He was one of America’s most famous dads as Danny Tanner on Full House, even if his stand-up work was far more mature. John Stamos posted his own Instagram tribute, with shots from both the Full House days and more recent times, showing the progression of a long friendship. In his post, Stamos said…

John Stamos and Bob Saget certainly came a long way. Stamos has previously said he didn’t like his co-star that much, but the two ultimately became very good friends. They spent one of their last days together at Stamos’ favorite place, Disneyland. Considering how random and unexpected Saget’s death was, there was certainly no way to know it would be the last time they would see each other. Sagat is believed to have died from injuries sustained from an accidental fall in his hotel room in Florida where he was on tour performing stand-up.

The third member of the Full House trio, Dave Coulier, didn’t miss the chance to tell the world what Bob Saget meant to him, in his own Instagram post, he said he thought his friend would want that…

It’s clear that Bob Saget meant a lot to those whose lives he touched. For those who knew him and those wno simply watched him, we’re all poorer now that he’s gone. Our thoughts go out to his friends and family on this difficult day.

Some television characters are so iconic that the actors who play them will forever be known for that role. That’s definitely the case for Jodie Sweetin (and probably the rest of the Full House cast, too). While Sweetin was merely 5 years old when she first portrayed Stephanie Tanner on the ABC sitcom, it’s a role that has followed her for nearly 40 years, and I love her positive take on how she came to terms with that.

Jodie Sweetin has appeared on the Hallmark schedule several times in recent years with projects like The Jane Mysteries, and she starred in the Lifetime movie Dateless to Dangerous: My Son's Secret Life, which premiered on the 2025 TV schedule in June. No matter how many TV movies she does, though, Sweetin knows the truth. She told People:

Stephanie was the middle sister on Full House, falling between Candace Cameron Bure’s DJ and the Olsen twins’ Michelle. Part of what endeared audiences to the saccharine-sweet sitcom was being able to watch the young actresses grow up literally in front of our eyes over the course of eight seasons (which can be streamed with either a Hulu subscription, Disney+ subscription or HBO Max subscription).

However, that also made them kind of synonymous with those roles, for better or worse. For Jodie Sweetin, she’s decided it was for the better, and she explained how reprising the role actually led her to branch out in her career:

Fuller House featured much of the same cast (but notably not Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, for good reason) and centered around a recently widowed DJ and her three sons. According to Jodie Sweetin, giving people the chance to see her as an adult — even if she was still technically Stephanie Tanner — kick-started a new chapter in her acting career.

In addition to some TV movies and reality competition shows, Jodie Sweetin has also started a rewatch podcast with Full House and Fuller House co-star Andrea Barber, which has even further deepened her appreciation for the fans who continue to show interest in the Tanner family after so many years.

Jodie Sweetin likely can’t do anything to change the fact that she’ll always be known as Stephanie Tanner, but she can control how she feels about her childhood character following her into adulthood. I love how she’s chosen to embrace it.

Full House premiered on ABC back in 1987, and to this day, the show remains a favorite among many and is arguably one of the best sitcoms of all time. Whether with reruns, streaming it with a Max subscription, or watching the Netflix revival, the Tanner family will forever be one of television’s best families. As for whether another Full House series could ever happen in the future, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber weighed in on the possibility, and they make some good points.

Full House ran for eight seasons, ending in 1995, and then the extended family came back in Fuller House on Netflix for five seasons, from 2016 to 2020. Although Full House didn't need a reboot, that didn't stop Netflix from doing one. There have been some talks about doing another show in the distant future, with Stephanie actress Sweetin even suggesting a Golden Girls-esque spinoff.

She and Barber, who played Kimmy, spoke about doing another show on their podcast, How Rude, Tanneritos! by answering a question from a fan wondering how serious their talks about a Fullest House are, and Barber had a simple three-word answer:

Sweetin agreed with her co-host’s answer, but also elaborated more on it, noting that it’s a bit too soon to do another show, and I can’t say I disagree. Fuller House only ended five years ago, and the series came out over 20 years after Full House ended. But that doesn’t mean that Sweetin hasn’t thought about the perfect way to do another series, because she has, and she is sticking to her Golden Girls idea:

Barber went on to explain that there’s a challenge to doing another spinoff of Full House so soon, and it certainly makes sense. Although it would be fun to follow a similar format that Full House and Fuller House did, there’s only so much that can be done and so many characters that fans will actually want to follow. Hence, the Golden Girls idea:

Obviously, the kids in Fuller House were interesting, and it was fun to see DJ and Kimmy as moms and Stephanie as an aunt (later a mother), but the reason why Fuller House did so well and came to be in the first place was because it centered on the original characters that people grew up with.

That’s not to say longtime Tanner fans don’t care about the kids in Fuller House, but they would certainly be interested in the original characters. And Sweetin knows what kind of place would be perfect to revisit them in:

Sweetin continued to say that she sees the characters in their late 60s, and they come back and are very much still who they have always been. Barber added that Stephanie, Kimmy, and DJ are all living together in the same retirement community. Honestly, I would love it. Of course, anything new with Full House would be hard without Bob Saget, who died in 2022, but a Fullest House set in a retirement community sounds perfect.

It's honestly hard to believe that we're about to hit the five-year anniversary of Fuller House's series finale. The Full House sequel series famously reunited the original cast, including Jodie Sweetin, as she reprised her role as Stephanie Tanner. Sweetin is one of a select group of actors who's been able to reprise a role she played as a child. Now, she's explaining how that opportunity impacted her view of the OG series, and I love her take.

It's no secret that to this day, Full House remains one of the most beloved TGIF shows from the '90s. During an interview with People, Jodie Sweetin was specifically asked about the enduring popularity of the series and her time on the spinoff. It would seem that her stint on the newer show, which is available to stream with a Netflix subscription, helped her shed some preconceived notions she had as a teen actor:

Considering the somewhat cheesy and goofy nature of the ABC sitcom, it's understandable as to why Jodie Sweetin felt somewhat embarrassed as a teen. Regardless of that, Full House (which you can stream with a Max subscription) still struck a chord with viewers. Sweetin's own performance as the cheeky Stephanie also garnered much love from fans.

Sweetin recalled that her own feelings shifted with every passing year. What I love about the actress' comments is the fact that her comments indicate a natural sense of maturity that come with age. With that, she's also come to realize just how important this TV franchise is to so many people, which I love. And, with that, comes a considerable amount of gratitude as well:

It’s so wonderful to hear that The Heiress and the Handyman alum now has such a positive perception of the sitcom that made her a star. This is quite significant, considering that just several years ago, Sweetin admitted to not having seen a Full House episode. Now, she hosts a rewatch podcast, How Rude, Tanneritos!, alongside co-star Andrea Barber, on which they dig deep into each installment of the eight-season show.

As for Fuller House, the show allows for Stephanie to grow in a myriad of ways. She blows in from London to help sister D.J. raise her children and, by the end of the show, she's a married woman with a child of her own on the way.

Overall, Jodie Sweetin seems to still hold a special place in her heart for both Full House and its follow-up, which I love so much. She even still owns Stephanie's Mr. Bear, and that's a testament to her affection for the series. Hopefully, Sweetin will continue to hold onto the positive feelings she has. Nowhere can that be better seen than in star John Stamos’ recent new years message, which saw him shout out co-star Dave Coulier, amidst his battle with cancer.

What’s more, fellow on-screen family member Candace Cameron Bure also reached out with her own best wishes for a happy and healthy road ahead. With Stamos taking to Instagram with a photo featuring his wife Caitlin McHugh and their son, the Spidey and His Amazing Friends star had this lengthy message of hope to share with the world:

Even if you aren’t a fan of Full House, it’s a beautiful sight to see a sitcom family actually keep the love going long after they’ve wrapped on their roles. John Stamos has been showing that love ever since Dave Coulier’s cancer diagnosis became public; which inspired stunts both heartfelt and silly.

The latter part of the spectrum inspiring Stamos’ bald cap show of solidarity, which cause a bit of a divide among the fans. What can’t be debated though are the continued well wishes from Coulier’s Full House family.

Not only supporting the Canadian funny man during his time of need, folks like Candace Cameron Bure have shown love to John Stamos and others in the process. Looking through the comments of that post, you can see the former Aurora Teagarden star had a very special message for her other TV uncle:

You don’t make one of the greatest TGIF comedies of all time by faking the energy needed to act like a family. That’s especially true when you take into account Full House’s initial eight season run, and Fuller House’s additional five seasons of wackiness on Netflix. The legacy cast of this legendary sitcom all love each other like an actual family, which only makes the enduring memory of such feats more powerful.

John Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure, and Dave Coulier are all headed into the new year with faith for better days ahead. And it’s hard not to want that for them, as reflecting their sitcom familial relations is as heartwarming as it was when they did it as the Tanners.

If you want to have a nice throwback marathon of Full House, you don’t need to believe in the milk man, the paper boy, or evening TV. Ok, maybe you need half of that last one, as using a Max subscription will allow you to revisit the Tanners everywhere you look for streaming entertainment. What time of day you decide to wood, er would, like to do so it totally up to you.

As beloved as the shows remain, there are plenty of inconsistencies that continue to baffle fans, and Andrea Barber — who played Kimmy Gibbler on both series — recently revealed that she pushed back about one specific detail of her character’s lore on Fuller House because she knew fans would have a problem with it. Turns out, she was right, because she’s “still hearing about it.”

Andrea Barber Knew Fans Would Take Issue With Kimmy’s New Brother

Kimmy Gibbler’s family is one of the biggest anomalies in the Full House universe, made only more confusing by the fact that we never saw Kimmy Gibbler’s parents or any other family members — at least until Fuller House. The only one of Kimmy’s siblings who was even given a name in the original series was her brother Garth, and that’s why Andrea Barber knew that introducing a different brother on the spinoff was going to be a major headache for her. She explained on her How Rude, Tanneritos! podcast:

Jimmy, played by Adam Hagenbuch, ended up being a pretty important character on Fuller House after his introduction in the Season 2 premiere.

Adam Hagenbuch appears in 36 episodes, with Jimmy eventually marrying and having a daughter with Jodie Sweetin’s Stephanie Tanner. As for Andrea Barber’s prediction, was she right about the questions, DMs and emails? She confirmed:

Until people stop streaming Full House and Fuller House, I guess! Unfortunately for Andrea Barber, she knew that the team that created Jimmy Gibbler wouldn’t be the people who would have to answer to the fans wondering why he was never mentioned on the flagship series. So just how complicated is the Gibbler family tree?

Full House’s Gibbler Family Remains Confusing, Even For The Actors

In the Full House premiere, way back in 1987, it was established that DJ Tanner’s BFF, easily one of TV’s most annoying characters, had three older sisters, though they weren't spoken of again. Later in the series Kimmy mentions her older brother Garth. In the Season 3 episode “Divorce Court,” Kimmy also says that she’s glad her mom stopped having kids after her, so it could be presumed that the ever-present neighbor was the youngest of five Gibbler siblings.

When Jimmy appears on Fuller House, however, he’s introduced as Kimmy’s younger brother who Stephanie hasn’t seen since he was “a scrawny little kid.” Sounds like the Gibbler parents weren’t done after all!

Strangely, though, Jodie Sweetin pointed out on the podcast that neither Garth nor any of their potential sisters appeared at the big triple wedding. (Which I guess isn't so strange if you consider that the Olsen twins never returned either!)

Candace Cameron Bure has apparently had beef with several notable stars over the last several years for varying reasons. She was called out by JoJo Siwa due to a supposed encounter the two once had, and Bure has even seemingly clashed with former Full House co-star Jodie Sweetin. (On the latter front, it seems that the two now disagree on the drag performance at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympic Games). Now, Bure has been called out by yet another star, and it’s none other than Vanderpump Rules cast member Scheana Shay.

What Did Scheana Shay Have To Say About Candace Cameron Bure?

The 39-year-old Bravo alum claimed during an episode of her Scheananigans podcast that the Hallmark-turned-GAF star wasn’t all that kind when they crossed paths years ago. Scheana Shay discussed the run-in with co-host Kiki Monique after talking about the fallout from the Olympics opening ceremony, which Candace Cameron Bure found “disgusting.” Shay went on to explain what brought her into the former child star’s orbit and how their meeting supposedly went down:

The reality TV veteran’s comments (which can be heard on YouTube) suggest that her meeting with the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries star left a bad taste in her mouth. It was apparently bad enough that it discouraged the VP star from watching Ms. Bure’s hit sitcom:

As of this writing, Candace Cameron Bure has yet to respond to Scheana Shay’s claims, and one has to wonder whether the two might link up to discuss the matter. That could surely be a possibility, especially since Bure previously touched base with JoJo Siwa during their reported tiff.

How Did JoJo Siwa Come Into Conflict With Candace Cameron Bure?

In a TikTok video posted back in July 2022, JoJo Siwa quickly slammed Candace Cameron Bure, not-so-subtly referring to her as the “rudest celebrity” she’d encountered. The former Nickelodeon star didn’t provide any context for that designation at the time. Shortly after, though, Bure revealed that she’d connected with Siwa and explained that the singer’s viewpoint stemmed from a moment at the Fuller House premiere. It was at that time that Bure supposedly dissed Siwa by not taking a photo with her as the then 11-year-old actress had asked. With that, the two seemingly patched everything up, though a little bit of drama persisted.

Natasha Bure, Candace’s daughter, clapped back at the “Guilty Pleasure” singer’s remarks. The younger Bure opined in the eventually deleted post that “someone saying no to taking a photo with you is not a 'rough experience.’” She also declared that the J Team star should “grow up.” While everything still seemed to be smooth sailing between Candace and JoJo Siwa, they became embroiled in another squabble after the former said that GAF’s content would put “traditional marriage” at the core of its storytelling. Siwa, a member of the LGBTQ+ community, dropped an F-bomb while sharing thoughts on the matter. And she would later receive support from Jodie Sweetin, and that move reportedly put Sweetin herself at odds with Bure.

As for the situation involving Scheana Shay, it should be noted that no one else has backed up her comments about Candace Cameron Bure. Whether someone steps forward to corroborate or dispute the Vanderpump Rules star’s account remains to be seen.

Candace Cameron Bure may have left Hollywood  with her family, but she is still staying as busy as ever. In recent years, the former Hallmark star has been producing films for rival network GAF and, before that, she reprised her role as DJ Tanner on Netflix’s Fuller House. While she is continuing to stay booked and busy, there was a time in her life where she didn’t act for 10 years and, now, she’s revealing what made her return.

After Full House ended in 1995, the star took some roles in TV movies and one-offs on TV shows but, between 1997 and 2007, she only had a few roles. She recently appeared on former co-star Dave Coulier’s podcast, Full House Rewind, where the host brought up how much she and her husband, Valeri Bure, moved around while he played hockey. As the actress explained, she stepped away to handle responsibilities within her domestic life:

One has to think that because Candace Cameron Bure had been acting since a very young age, it couldn’t have been easy stepping away. Nevertheless, she definitely had a good reason for doing so. Dave Coulier admitted that he didn’t even know if she would return to acting. And, quite frankly, it wouldn’t have been surprising if she'd quit the business altogether, because of her familial duties. As for what brought her back, she attributes that to her time on Full House:

There are a lot of child actors who've left Hollywood behind because it wasn’t for them, they didn’t have a good experience or for some other specific reason. (Following the Quiet on Set docuseries, many former child actors have been opening up about their own experiences as of late.) Ultimately, we as viewers don't know everything that goes on behind the scenes, including matters involving child stars. Knowing that Candace Cameron Bure's experience was so positive that it factored into her return to acting is sweet.

Other celebrities who take breaks from their careers for their families or for a different venture, and some manage to return stronger than ever. I'm happy that Candace Cameron Bure found her way back to the industry and has been consistently cranking out work. I'm sure those who've enjoyed her Hallmark and GAF fare are particularly happy about that as well.

Lori Loughlin was once best known to a generation of millennials for her role as Aunt Becky on Full House, which she reprised for the Netflix sequel series Fuller House. Back in 2019, however, the actress was involved in a college admissions bribery scandal that resulted in time behind bars. Now, years later, Loughlin has spoken out in her first big post-scandal magazine feature, and commenting on her ordeal involved dropping a line from Chumbawamba's most famous song.

And honestly, for an actress who was a hit with many fans in the '90s, why not use a '90s anthem when describing a situation? Speaking with FIRST for Women for her cover story, Loughlin said:

While Lori Loughlin didn't drop Chumbawamba's name or the title of the song – "Tubthumping," despite the widespread belief that the song is called "I Get Knocked Down" – there's no questioning what she's talking about. Her followup line about nobody saying life would "be a breeze" honestly had me thinking of the iconic Friends theme song, but the actress will always be known for Full House. She went on in the interview to address the concept of forgiveness:

Lori Loughlin certainly was surrounded by plenty of negativity starting back in 2019 when details began to emerge about her alleged role in the "Operation Varsity Blues" college admissions scandal, and she eventually pleaded guilty to charges and was sentenced to two months of jail time in a federal prison. While the scandal was breaking, she was dropped from When Calls the Heart on Hallmark as well as Fuller House on Netflix, with Fuller House explaining Aunt Becky's absence in a surprising way.

This wasn't the first time that Lori Loughlin has spoken publicly since her jail time for the college admissions scandal, but the cover story for a magazine is certainly higher profile than some of her other platforms. She has also made a bit of a comeback on the small screen since getting out of prison, including Hallmark's When Calls the Heart spinoff in 2021, Blessings of Christmas at GAF in 2023, and most recently Curb Your Enthusiasm, on which she played a fictionalized version of herself in true Curb style.

Whether her magazine cover is just another step in a larger comeback in showbiz remains to be seen. 25 years after Full House ended, DJ Tanner and Steve Hale got back together on the spinoff sequel series Fuller House, but it didn’t happen right away. Steve wasn’t the only one who caught DJ’s eye, as her vet co-worker, Matt Harmon, also stole her heart. For a while, it seemed like the two veterinarians were a match made in Heaven. However, it was clear that after all these years, Steve and DJ were still had feelings for each other, even after the characters broke up on the OG series. Candace Cameron Bure is still thinking about it as well, as she recently posted a throwback photo of the engagement. And fans have since proven that they're still salty.

The actress took to Instagram to share some sweet behind-the-scenes photos and videos from Season 5, Episode 9, “A Modest Proposal." It was during that installment that Steve finally got down on one knee following the flashiest flash mob ever. Actor Scott Weinger even replied in true -- Steve fashion -- by telling his co-star, or rather DJ, that she drives him crazy. And even though it’s been nearly four years since it happened, I still love it:

However, not every fan feels the same way. Throughout Fuller House’s run, DJ kept going back and forth between Scott Weinger’s Steve and John Brotherton’s Matt, and viewers were divided. While she and Steve were a fan-favorite couple on Full House, some fan had moved on by the the sequel show rolled around and are still hurting from the engagement, including a user named alishabravely, who said:

Matt was introduced as the son of DJ’s retiring boss and the two soon got together, even becoming partners and owners of Harmon-Fuller Pet Care. He later proposed to Tanner, which complicated matters. She eventually broke up with him while in Japan for Steve’s own wedding. Of course, both Matt and DJ found someone else to spend the rest of their lives with, but dxnerkier is still hurt:

On top of being hurt, some people are simply pointing out that Steve and DJ had their chance on Full House. A proposal was likely out of the question for the TGIF sitcom due to the fact that DJ was still in high school by the series’ end. So some viewers hoped that that would mean their ship sailed. Meanwhile, some fans are feeling somewhat conflicted. For instance, missykayleen18 seems to have all the feelings for Steve and DJ, but they also admitted that Fuller House turned her into a member of Team Matt:

Not every storyline is going to make every fan happy, and that's especially true when it comes to love triangles. It was probably inevitable that Steve and DJ would end up together on Fuller House, as to satisfy longtime Full House fans. I guess that, at the very least, those who are still pining for Tanner to be with Matt can write some fan fiction.

For now, though, series devotees will just have to continue to bask in the fact that DJ and Steve are together forever, and even the actors apparently can’t help but remind people every once in a while. The actors themselves are also still good friends. While promoting their appearance at ‘90s Con last year, Candace Cameron Bure shared a throwback of her and Scott Weinger, indicating that they're still close. And that's something I don't think any fan (whether they were pulling for Matt or Steve) should be salty about.

In January 2022, many of us were met with the tragic news that Bob Saget had died at the age of 65 due to head trauma he sustained. The comedian was widely mourned by fans as well as fellow celebrities across Hollywood. Aside from his family, those who seemed to take his passing particularly hard were his co-stars from Full House. Many of them, including John Stamos and Candace Cameron Bure, have honored Saget in the time since he departed this life. Most recently though, Bure, Stamos and a few others got together to pay tribute to the late comedian on the two-year anniversary of his death.

It’s honestly hard to believe that the late star has already been gone for so long. His longtime friends and colleagues from the hit ABC sitcom and its Netflix sequel series still seem to be processing it as well. Jesse Katsopolis actor John Stamos released a joint message alongside Joey Gladstone portrayer Dave Coulier on Instagram. The post included a video clip of the two actors discussing their late co-star alongside fellow castmates Jodie Sweetin, Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber. Stamos, while speaking, admitted that he’s “not sure” how to feel as he begins to adjust to his buddy’s absence. That was the kind of sentiment that was conveyed in the caption: 

As emotional as those thoughts are, the conversation amongst the cast members (who assembled virtually) was even more moving. Jodie Sweetin opened up about sometimes feeling that she still sees her on-screen dad out of the corner of her eye. Dave Coulier and Andrea Barber discussed their fun phone correspondences with the Danny Tanner actor, which included long-winded songs and humorously neurotic calls. Candace Cameron Bure shed tears after her TV uncle revealed a clip from her wedding day. While Bure misses her mentor, she mentioned that she takes solace in being able to grieve alongside others. This cast has always seemed close, and it’s moments like these that further drive home that point. If you ask some of them, they would argue that their bond was maintained by Bob Saget. Stamos referred to him as “the glue” that held their ensemble of actors together through thick and thin. To that point, during this latest meet-up, Dave Coulier sweetly mentioned that Saget “gave” them the tender moment they were having together. That’s a lovely sentiment if there ever was one.

The tight-knit group has also remained close with the America's Funniest Home Videos alum’s family, including his widow, Kelly Rizzo, and three daughters from his previous marriage to Sherri Kramer. Shortly after the stand-up comedy veteran’s death, Rizzo thanked fans for helping her cope with the grief. She and John Stamos also appeared at an awards ceremony, where they accepted an honor on the star’s behalf. 

It would be a gross understatement to say that there’s a serious void not just in the world of comedy but in society as a whole now that Bob Saget is no longer with us. What’s comforting, though, is that his memory will live on, and that’s not just because of his exceptional work. As long as John Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure and more continue to remember him in sweet ways, he won’t be forgotten.

Full House star John Stamos has been consistently making headlines lately tied to the release of his new memoir If You Would Have Told Me, which hit bookshelves a week ahead of Halloween’s arrival. The actor did have some scary topics to discuss when chatting with Howard Stern, by way of his bouts with alcoholism, but it wasn’t all cautionary tales. The Grandfathered vet also revealed the big way Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen shared their love and appreciation for Full House in the years after they’d rejected offers to reprise the role of Michelle Tanner for Netflix’s Fuller House. 

For the most part, Stamos is the Full House vet who’d most often shared feelings about the Olsen twins choosing to remain out of the TV spotlight throughout Fuller House’s five-season run. During his latest appearance on The Howard Stern Show, the actor addressed the fact that his initially angry reaction didn’t help the matter (even though his comments did spark the siblings to present him with a porkchop of solidarity). But he also said Mary-Kate and Ashley smoothed things over with their former cast members while at Bob Saget’s funeral, and in a way that was quite meaningful to Stamos and others. In his words:

For all that the Fuller House stars were genial and polite about the Tanner family never fully coming together again without Michelle around, it's not out of the question to think that some of the stars even beyond Stamos might have felt miffed by it. But hopefully by sharing such loving words at Bob Saget's funeral, the twins put others' minds at ease and convinced them it wasn't a personal dig. 

To be sure, John Stamos definitely came around to understanding why Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen chose not to step back into the role of Michelle Tanner now as full-grown adults with hugely successful business ventures to their names. Co-star Jodie Sweetin arguably explained it best by pointing out that Full House was over before the Olsens hit double-digit ages, and so their time on the sitcom wasn't as formative an experience as it was for the rest of the cast, as they wouldn't have had nearly as many memories about the earliest seasons. 

Of course, Dave Coulier's tale about farting in his kid co-star's faces could have also played a part in why some of those memories may have been repressed. Someone check and see if they had any "no-farts clauses" in their contracts. 

Bob Saget's death in early 2022 was a huge blow to the comedic actor's fanbase, as well as to the fellow cast members that had become his makeshift family in the years since Full House came together. And it marked one of the first times that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen spoke publicly about their TV dad, albeit in the form of a prepared statement.

While the Olsen sisters never opted in for more Tanner family fun, the show did drops some references to them throughout the years, including that final straight-to-camera joke in the penultimate episode. For so many years, the bulk of the actors at the heart of the beloved sitcoms Full House and Fuller House appeared to be just as close and familial as the Tanners. (And the Gibblers, if we must.) But the cast members’ dynamics appeared to change somewhat in the months that followed Bob Saget’s death in January 2022, with reported feuding between co-stars Candace Cameron-Bure and Jodie Sweetin. John Stamos, who’s previously voiced his dismay over the in-fighting amongst the former co-stars, has reflected on life after Bob, as it were, and thinks that the fictional patriarch would have already brought a halt to background drama. 

Speaking with People in connection with his new memoir If You Would Have Told Me, Stamos talked about the Full House cast’s extended bond that has stayed mostly strong and intact for the past 35 years or so. And while he said some of them are “just as close” as ever, he seemed to be implying that there are more under-the-radar issues than fans are aware of. Here’s how he framed it, with Saget as the central pillar:

The most curious part of that response is Stamos saying “It’s not what you think it is,” which indicates the more public reports shared about Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin don’t amount to the entirety of whatever strife is present. The Scream Queens vet isn’t hesitant or too proud to admit that he isn’t the right person to step in and play peacekeeper in Bob Saget’s stead. He isn’t invested with digging into his co-stars’ private lives in such a way, but thinks that the late comedian would have brought the calming sageness to the situation.

By and large, the kerfuffle between Bure and Sweetin has been the only publicly acknowledged feuding amongst Full House alums, which was seemingly based in large part on the former Hallmark star switch to Great American Family, with an eye toward producing holiday movies that adhere entirely to traditional marriage couplings. Those comments set off the LGBTQ+ community and its allies, with JoJo Siwa resurfacing her past issues with Bure in order to criticize the cable network’s limited programming scope, followed by Sweetin showing her own support for Siwa.

None of that back and forth was ever resolved, really, though the D.J. and Stephanie portrayers did sweep any friction under the rug so that they could reunite on stage for multiple appearances at ‘90s Con in 2023. So if they’re still technically cool enough to make that happen, was John Stamos referring to another underlying issue that fans aren’t privy to just yet?

Is everybody finally mad at Dave Coulier for farting in people’s faces while filming Full House all those years ago? Probably not. Perhaps Stamos was referring to the mostly silent-and-invisible Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, whom the General Hospital vet had previously discussed being angry with over their refusal to appear in Fuller House. But he still seems to be cool with them, having congratulated Ashley Olsen on having her first child nearly a year ago.

In his forthcoming memoir, titled If You Would Have Told Me, Stamos explores the tumultuous path of addiction and recovery, and reveals how one pivotal moment transformed his life forever. Speaking with People, the now 60-year-old Thieves vet shared the turning point that came with his headline-making 2015 DUI arrest. This life-altering incident forced him to confront his destructive behavior. He explained:

Once the Scream Queens star realized he needed help, he bravely checked into rehab. It understandably wasn't a walk in the park early on, but as time passed, things started looking up, especially as he began connecting with others going through similar journeys. It’s been a whopping 36 years since fans first heard “Whatever happened to predictability?” and sitcom TV was changed forever. The Tanner family came into our lives on September 22, 1987, and the rest is history. Full House is still very much a part of the fans’ and cast's lives today. In the past, the cast has celebrated Full House's anniversaries, and this year Candace Cameron Bure honored it in a very sweet way.

Bure took to Instagram to celebrate the major milestone by throwing it back to “finding the DJ wedding dress” for the Fuller House series finale. She also made sure to mark that it was the day she officially became DJ Tanner. Celebrating 36 years of her by dropping a picture from the end of her journey is definitely full circle:

Playing a character for 12 years feels like a lifetime, especially when you consider how young Bure was when she was cast. She grew up on Full House, and it’s clear that the experience is still close to her. It also helps that she was able to get back to playing DJ 21 years after the series finale. Not to mention the fact that she reunited with a lot of her castmates at ‘90s Con Tampa the weekend before this anniversary, so there was likely a lot of celebrating going on then as well.

Candace Cameron Bure has frequently shared throwback photos on Instagram from both her Full House and Fuller House days. Ahead of ‘90s Con, she even shared some sweet images taken on the set of the TGIF series with then-on-screen boyfriend Scott Weinger, who played Steve Hale. Steve and DJ ended up finally getting married during Fuller House’s final season, hence the wedding dress fit. They really were the couple back then, and it filled so many hearts to see them tie the knot on the reboot.

The Full House family may not be as close as they used to be, especially after a falling out between Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin, but that isn’t putting a damper on the fact that it has been 36 years since the series premiered. While my parents weren’t even married when Full House first hit TV, watching reruns on Nick@Nite is quite a core memory. It’s hard to imagine life without the Tanner family, and it seems like the cast feels the same way.

Sweetin’s character Stephanie on Full House was known for her catchphrase: “How rude!” whenever something happened that she didn’t like. A fan had gotten that exact phrase tattooed on themselves, and according to their Instagram post about it, it’s actually in the actress's signature. The Hallmark star also shared it on her own Instagram as part of a photo dump from the event:

While Sweetin loved what the fan did, others did not like it, mostly because of how it looked. People couldn’t help but point out that “How Rude” looks more like “How Thude” in regards to the “R” looking like a “Th.” There were a lot of people pointing it out in the comments:

It should be noted that from the looks of the Instagram of the fan who got the tattoo, it is Jodie Sweetin’s actual handwriting. So, it’s not really the fault of the fan or the tattoo artist. It’s just the way Sweetin writes. It’s likely the fans in the comments didn’t know that the actress was the one who initially wrote it, but either way, in the words of Stephanie Judith Tanner: “How rude!” 

Regardless of the handwriting, it’s pretty amazing that someone would get a Full House tattoo. While this probably isn’t the first time someone has gotten ink in honor of the TGIF series, it never ceases to amaze me. 

Full House is beloved by many, and it is one of the best shows streaming on Max. There's also its wildly successful Netflix sequel series, and there are ideas being thrown around about another spinoff in the future, but that might still be far away. Basically, what I'm saying is, the love for Full House is real and very much still alive. 

Luckily, interest in Full House will likely continue for years to come as generations old and new discover and rediscover the series. The cast may bicker like family or annoy each other, but the fans have definitely brought them closer together. The handwritten “How rude” may not have gotten the response Sweetin or the fan who got it tattooed might have expected, but it’s the thought that counts. Plus, it’s still really cool that they had it tattooed in the first place in the actress's handwriting, and Sweetin will probably keep it in her memories for years to come.

Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin seemed to have had a public fallout in recent months, though it hasn't been very evident whenever they've actually hung out together. After Bure’s remarks about “traditional marriage,” her on-screen little sister made it a point to discuss how much of an ally she is to the LGBTQ community. Sweetin had supported Jojo Siwa over what she'd said about Bure’s comments, and seemingly unfollowed her former co-star on social media in the aftermath. None of that drama was present when they reunited earlier this year for ‘90s Con in Connecticut, and over the weekend, another ‘90s Con event brought the Full House stars together again. 

Bure and Sweetin — along with Andrea "Kimmy" Barber, Dave "Joey" Coulier, Scott "Steve" Weinger, and creator Jeff "No Character Name" Franklin — reunited for ‘90s Con in Tampa, Florida, with plenty of fans turning up to share their love for the TGIF hit. The former Hallmark star documented her weekend on her Instagram Stories with plenty of pictures with the Full House cast and Full House fans. One photo in particular shows the She-Wolf Pack was all smiles, and the Tanner sisters even stood alongside one another in their colorful outfits.

Whether they are all genuinely happy to be together, or are just doing it for the cameras, it is still nice to see Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin together after all that they’ve been through. Not all celebs with bad blood would make the effort, even for fans, so kudos to them both for turning up. The cast has shared that they bicker as much as a normal family, without things going too far, so it’s possible that the two have buried the hatchet. It seems like they had fun over the weekend, and may have spent some quality time together if and when they had free time. Hopefully, this means that Bure and Sweetin are back to normal, but even if there's smoldering involved, it’s better than nothing.

If things haven’t always been great between Bure and Sweetin, it might be partly due to the fact that they are basically like sisters. Sweetin previously opened up about how she would annoy Bure during Full House’s early days on her podcast with Andrea Barber, How Rude, Tanneritos! She would keep trying to get Bure to listen to her jokes, and while she was admittedly all over the place, Bure did not always want to deal with to the younger girl's hyperness, which made the dynamic “actually very real.” Even today, the two get in fights and have fallouts, but hopefully all can be forgiven in the end, even if they don't meet eye to eye on everything.

Maybe if Bure and Sweetin’s friendship continues, fans can get another Full House series. Ideas have been thrown around by some of the cast, with Sweetin even suggesting a Sweetin even suggesting a Golden Girls-esque series where it still follows the girls but a lot older and a lot more wiser. But with Fuller House's emotional series finale only airing a few years ago, it might be a while until people start genuinely thinking about another series. Not to mention the fact that it would have to properly honor and pay tribute to the late Bob Saget, which would be hard to do. 

It's no secret that DJ and Stephanie had their ups and downs on Full House and Fuller House, and Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin are getting through a rough patch as well. It’s unknown how long this friendship will last, but at least they are smiling together again.

While there have been rumors of a feud between them for months, Bure now appears to be trying to bury the hatchet. Yet it seems only colleague Dave Coulier who's truly being receptive.

Near the end of 2022, Jodie Sweetin spoke out about being an LGBTQ ally after Candace Cameron Bure shared her statement. While at the time, sources claimed they were beefing, neither actress has directly derided the other in public. In fact, they're set to reunite at ‘90s Con in Connecticut this September, where they'll meet up with Full House fans. Ahead of that meet-up, the former Hallmark star took to Instagram to share some behind-the-scenes images from the Fuller House set and said she’s “Missing this feeling, along with the laughs”:

The sweet and heartwarming photos included Dave Coulier, Scott Weinger, Jodie Sweetin, and Andrea Barber. However, only Coulier and Weinger replied, and both agreed that they miss those cast moments as well. But Coulier was particularly enthusiastic, saying that it “sounds like we need to do Fullest House!” While we can't speak to Candace Cameron Bure's exact relationships with Sweetin and Barber right now, it would at least appear that Coulier is still in her corner. 

Dave Coulier hasn't directly addressed any alleged friction between his longtime co-stars. However, he has been candid about dealing with occasional cast squabbles in general, explaining that he usually serves as a neutral party or mediator. Coulier himself seems to have good relationships with his colleagues.

The comedian's latest comment about a hypothetical Fullest House is likely to get fans excited as well. It's an idea that's been discussed by the stars off and on, and some of them even have ideas for such a show. Jodie Sweetin shared an A+ idea for a new series, a la Golden Girls, which would see the "She-Wolf Pack" back together. Though that would mean she'd also be working with Candace Cameron Bure again. 

One would hope that if there truly are issues amongst the ensemble, they'll be resolved. John Stamos was allegedly devastated that his Full House family wasn't on the same page. And surely hardcore fans may also be sad to think that the tight-knit group isn't as solid as it's always been.

Though Candace Cameron Bure's post hasn't received much love from co-stars as of this writing, it's possible that others could weigh in as time goes on. What'll be most interesting to see is how she and Jodie Sweetin interact when they meet up at '90s Con. One hopes that they'll share some tender moments while participating in the festivities. I'm sure such a development would delight their TV uncle, Dave Coulier, as well.

It’s been just over three years since fans had to say goodbye to the Tanner family a second time after Netflix’s Fuller House came to an end. While the Full House revival included many familiar faces and callbacks to the beloved TGIF sitcom, the was a glaring hole in the cast, and that was the expected absence of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. The cast has opened up throughout the years about their feelings regarding the Olsen Twins not returning, and Dave Coulier was the latest to share his thoughts.

The Olsen Twins skyrocketed to superstardom at a young age when they were starring in Full House. After that, they went on to star in tons of movies and started a production company. These days aren't seen on screen much and they've moved into the world of fashion. When it came to the Fuller House reunion, they decided to not return, and Dave Coulier told Yahoo! Entertainment that the twins have it a bit different than the rest of the cast since they did start the show so young:

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were nine months old when they were cast as Michelle, meaning they spent basically the first eight years of their lives on the series. Since then, they haven't really participated in any reunions. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t want anything to do with Full House since they did attend Bob Saget’s memorial in 2022. 

Considering the twins retired from acting over 10 years ago, it wasn’t surprising that they weren’t on Fuller House, but I think many of us were hoping they'd pop up.

Being a child star and starting so young, even before you can talk, is not easy. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were pretty much on the go for years, and being the youngest on the cast for the first five seasons as the show’s popularity grew probably made it even harder. Even though they did get to have family at work, as Elizabeth Olsen recalled being on the Full House set and seeing the audience and her sisters acting, being in that environment at a young age is likely taxing, and Dave Coulier understood it all:

With the Olsen Twins being so young on Full House, it sometimes made things hard, as John Stamos got them temporarily fired. Meanwhile, Fuller House poked fun at Mary-Kate and Ashley not appearing in the series, as it occasionally mentioned Michelle being too busy with her fashion empire to come home. It seems that everything is fine with them and the ensemble though, and while they didn't appear in the series, it’s nice to know they still support their castmates and vice versa.

A return for Michelle Tanner may not be in the cards any time if there’s another Full House spinoff, but things could always change. Since the Olsen Twins have been out of the game for a while and don’t seem to be in any rush to return to their acting roots, at least they’re not opposed to reuniting with their former co-stars. Fans can watch the fashion designers as Michelle on all eight seasons of Full House with a Max subscription.

Without a doubt, one of the things that made Full House so successful back in the day — and contributed to its longevity — was the chemistry between the members of the Tanner family, and it’s been special to see how strong their relationships have remained over the decades. But sisters will be sisters, and just like we saw D.J. and Stephanie butt heads sometimes on the family-friendly sitcom, Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin were in disagreement last year over the GAF actress’ comment about “traditional marriage.” Dave Coulier recently spoke about where he stands when members of his TV family don’t see eye to eye.

Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin don’t require the intervention that D.J. and Stephanie did on show — when any combination of Bob Saget’s Danny, Dave Coulier’s Joey and John Stamos’ Jesse would swoop in to help the girls find common ground. When it comes to real-world squabbles between the former cast members these days, Coulier told Yahoo! Entertainment that he’s “always been Switzerland.” He said: 

It sounds like the comedian refuses to take sides when his friends argue, and that the family members are sticking together, even when they have disagreements with each other. Dave Coulier’s comments fall in line with what the Full and Fuller House actors have said in the past regarding any sibling rivalry. 

When Jodie Sweetin and Candace Cameron Bure reunited for 90s Con in March, Bure assured fans that the cast is “family to the core,” and no matter what’s going on, the love is always there between them. Dave Coulier, who played the girls’ honorary uncle Joey Gladstone on Full House, added that they go through things too, just as any family does.

While Uncle Joey seems to see the rumored beef between the actresses as a typical part of any family dynamic, Uncle Jesse might be having a tougher time with it. Following reports earlier this year that Candace Cameron Bure had unfollowed Jodie Sweetin on Instagram in the aftermath of Bure’s comment about LGBTQ+ representation in holiday movies, John Stamos was reportedly “devastated” that his “perfect” TV family had been turned upside-down.

Candace Cameron Bure, who left Hallmark for Great American Family in 2022, told the Wall Street Journal last November that she thought her new network — where she serves as the chief creative officer — would “keep traditional marriage at the core” of its holiday programming. Jodie Sweetin supported actors who spoke out against her TV sister, including JoJo Siwa and Holly Robinson Peete, and Bure reportedly took issue with the LGBTQ+ ally addressing her concerns publicly, rather than talking it out one-on-one.

Whether the tension still exists between the two, or it’s all water under the Golden Gate Bridge, Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin are set to reunite once more, as they will both be attending 90s Con in Tampa, Florida, in September. During Full House’s eight-year run on ABC, Candace Cameron Bure was 11 to 19 years old. Bob Saget — who was the epitome of a sitcom dad on Full House but as raunchy as they come on the stand-up stage — came up on Candace Cameron Bure’s podcast, as the actress talked with Christian music songwriter Katy Nichole about her song “Things I Wish I Would Have Said.” While it’s all too common that people miss opportunities to share their love for one another, that’s not an issue the Great American Family actress had with her TV dad. Bure explained: 

Having  had Bob Saget in her life continues to remind Candace Cameron Bure to not hesitate to share kind words with her loved ones, she said, because the comedian demonstrated that in his life by always telling his Full House co-stars that he loved them. He also showed how much he cared by doling out the hugs. Bure remembered how there were “always hugs” from Saget, and she even memorialized him by selling sweatshirts to benefit the Scleroderma Research Foundation that read “Love Like Jesus, Hug Like Bob Saget.”

The actress has said that many people don’t understand how they could have been friends, given Bob Saget’s brand of humor, and she’s explained that she was able to separate the man telling the dirty jokes from the real heart she knew in her friend. But that doesn’t mean she approved of his crude sets, and Saget apparently knew where to draw the line. Candace Camerone Bure said the comedian would invite her to his shows but also warn her not to go. In her words: 

You have to appreciate that kind of honesty, with Bob Saget apparently knowing not to put his TV daughter in situations that would be uncomfortable for her. 

Nobody can doubt the strength of Candace Cameron Bure’s relationship with Bob Saget, and it’s special that she still is reminded of the love he showed his TV family and how her memory of him reminds her to always share her own love with others.

Over the past year, Candace Cameron Bure has been called out a few times by other celebrities, first for allegedly being “rude” to JoJo Siwa following the Fuller House premiere and then for comments about “traditional marriage” and featuring LGBTQ+ characters in Great American Family’s Christmas movies. Now Glamorous actress Miss Benny has spoken out about her time on Bure’s Netflix spinoff, accusing the D.J. Tanner portrayer of trying to get her kicked off the show, and Bure responded.

Miss Benny appeared on two episodes of Fuller House’s fourth season as Casey, who was gay and attended prom platonically with Kimmy Gibler’s daughter Ramona. The actor took to TikTok with some accusations about what allegedly happened behind the scenes. Miss Benny said: 

Miss Benny didn’t mention Candace Cameron Bure by name, but the GAF actress was hashtagged, and given her response to TV Line, she seems to have felt the comments were aimed at her. Bure denied the accusations that she attempted to get rid of the Casey character or any other queer character, saying:

This accusations from Miss Benny come a year after JoJo Siwa’s TikTok post that called the Full House alum the “rudest” celebrity she’s met in person, after Candace Cameron Bure allegedly snubbed her following the premiere of Fuller House. The two went back and forth on social media and apparently spoke on the phone about the situation before it died down.

However, the former Hallmark actress made headlines again late last year, when she told the Wall Street Journal that she thought “Great American Family will keep traditional marriage at the core,” when asked about the network’s competitor featuring LGBTQ+ characters in its Christmas programming.

Several celebrities were outraged Candace Cameron Bure's comments, with Hilarie Burton and Holly Robinson Peete calling her a "bigot." Even Bure's Full House sister Jodie Sweetin showed her support publicly for JoJo Siwa and others who were speaking out about LGBTQ+ discrimination, which allegedly led to Bure unfollowing Sweetin on Instagram.

Candace Cameron Bure issued a statement at the time, saying she loves everyone “of any race, creed, sexuality, or political party.” The actress also explained that she had said “all ethnicities and identities have and will continue to contribute to the network,” in her interview with WSJ, however that was left out of the story.

Although Miss Benny's time on Fuller House was short-lived, the actress admits "everything happens for a reason," and "the show ultimately led to me being on Glamorous on Netflix." Much ado was made about Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s decision not to reprise their roles as Michelle Tanner for the 2016 spinoff Fuller House. Not only were fans disappointed, but the show made several references to their absence over the course of its five seasons. Apparently it rubbed some of the cast the wrong way too, as John Stamos — who has admitted to getting the Olsen twins “temporarily fired” from the ‘80s sitcom — recently opened up about being angry that they didn’t join the Netflix series, and the unusual olive branch they extended. 

John Stamos has been championing Bob Saget’s legacy for over a year now, since the comedian died suddenly last January from a head trauma. Members of the cast have consistently credited the Full House patriarch with ensuring the family remained close, and the Uncle Jesse actor told the And That’s What You REALLY Missed podcast it was mostly Saget who kept in touch with the Olsen twins, despite their refusal to return to acting with the rest of the family. He said: 

Bob Saget understood Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s decision to not appear on Fuller House, but it was apparently more of a struggle for his TV brother-in-law. John Stamos admitted to being upset with them, and told the podcast about the odd olive branch the fashion moguls offered: 

Sure, a frozen porkchop may seem like a random way to say, “We’re sorry,” but I’ve got to say, there are probably a few arguments in my lifetime that could have been resolved quicker if someone had brought me dinner, so I can’t hate on this. And it seems to have worked, as John Stamos said they remained close afterward!

Jodie Sweetin offered the best reasoning for why the Olsen twins didn’t want to reprise their role as Michelle Tanner in pointing out that they were 8 years old when the series ended. For all of the other cast members, the eight years on Full House was a significant stretch of their lives, but for Ashley and Mary-Kate, most of their memories were formed after the sitcom wrapped.

The twins’ Tanner family seems to understand why the Mary-Kate and Ashley cameo never happened, but that didn’t keep the show from making it a running gag over the seasons. The Fuller House characters broke the fourth wall several times over its five seasons to make pointed statements about their little sister, starting in the series premiere and ending with one final Olsen twins joke in its final episodes. 

It’s good that John Stamos and the Olsen twins were able to bury the hatchet, and if you want to relive any of the Tanner family fun, Full House is available for streaming with a Hulu subscription or to HBO Max subscription holders. Fuller House, meanwhile, can be streamed with a Netflix subscription.  

Even though Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were the twins of Michelle Tanner on Full House, despite not returning for Fuller House, it seems like another Tanner sister is getting her share of twinning these days, but in a different way. This is because after Jodie Sweetin posted a photo with her daughter Zoie Herpin, fans could not get over the uncanny resemblance, but that’s not the only comparison they’re making as one person compared the actress's daughter to Scarlett Johansson.

Jodie Sweetin took to Instagram to celebrate her daughter Zoie's birthday and update her followers on the festivities that took place. The photo is as “sweet” as can be, and it really shows just how close Sweetin is with her daughter:

However, getting past the birthday festivities, fans couldn’t help but notice just how alike the duo looks, even pointing out that they could be twins, as one fan commented:

Another fan also couldn’t help but notice just how strong the mom genes are. While just about every kid looks like their parents somehow, there is just something about Jodie Sweetin and her daughter Zoie that makes them look almost identical, as some people wrote:

However, the comparisons don’t stop there. There are also a handful of fans that thought Zoie Herpin actually looks a little bit like Scarlett Johansson, or at least a mixture of ScarJo and Sweetin. When you take a good look at the picture, you can actually see how much she looks like the Marvel star:

Now that that comparison has been made, it’s hard to unsee. She definitely looks a bit like Scarlett Johansson, and it just proves she’s been double blessed. Getting compared to not one but two actresses is impressive, and it seems that fans are agreeing that Jodie Sweetin and Johansson are the top comparisons.

It's clear that Sweetin is very close to her daughter, and it makes sense considering her deep connection and care for both her adoptive and biological family. After Sweetin was sued for child support a few years ago, it's nice to see that all is well. 

Knowing how close the mother and daughter are, and considering their resemblance, I'm curious about how many times they are told in real life that they look like twins. Or who knows, maybe Zoie has also gotten the ScarJo comparison before as well.

While Jodie Sweetin may be caught up in some Full House drama involving former co-star Candace Cameron Bure, it looks like she is focusing on her family these days. While the Full House cast bickers like a family, Bure’s comments on traditional marriage and GAF seem to have caused a rift between the two actors, it seems like Sweetin is having fun with her family rather than focusing on the reported drama. 

At the very least, Sweetin is putting much of her time into her family and her mini-me, who may or may not still look like her when she’s older. It's refreshing to see her out having fun with her daughter, and it will be fun to see more of the Full House star's daughter, who also lowkey looks like Scarlett Johansson.

Few sitcom settings can instantly pop into TV audiences’ brains quite like the Tanner family’s abode in Full House, helped along by the fact that it was literally recreated for Fuller House 20 years later. I’d be surprised to meet a fan of the TGIF hit that hasn’t imagined having something from that set within their own homes, which means there are no doubt plenty of people out there who would be way jealous of stars Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Dave Coulier and Andrea Barber for all of the props they’ve openly admitted to bringing home from their time on both shows. 

While reuniting for Full House’s audience-pleasing panel at ‘90s Con in Hartford, CT — the first of two ‘90s-focused events set for 2023 — the aforementioned quartet of stars reflected on their lives before, during and after the beloved sitcom’s ABC run. Early on in the panel, after Dave Coulier attempted to explain why farts are funny, the actors were asked about any memorable set items they took possession of once filming was completed. John Stamos was mentioned for having taken the living room couch, with Candace Cameron Bure bringing up her attempt to nab it from him. And then Coulier went and shared the best example possible (arguably), saying:

This pulled a noteworthy cheer from the crowd, as it should be. It’s possible that the good vibes from the crowd are why he didn’t share anything further about Mr. Woodchuck’s current state. I’d admittedly forgotten in the moment that Coulier previously offered fans a less-than-celebratory update on the marionette puppet’s fate in the time after Full House, sharing on Reddit that he’d kept the original prop, and then his Labrador Ranger ate Mr. Woodchuck’s face. Sigh. 

From there, Jodie Sweetin brought up a couple of the recognizable mementos that she liberated from the Full House set, so to speak, saying:

Okay, so having O.G. Mr. Bear is like, right behind having Mr. Woodchuck as a set prop, and I’m sure there are plenty of people who…would… prefer the teddy over the puppet. But I think we can all agree that Full House should have merchandised the hell out of both of those. Not to mention the sea-pappy statue. If Funko released a Pop version of just the sea-pappy’s head, I’d be all over that. 

Andrea Barber, who later brought up just how much she did not like Kimmy Gibbler’s outfits as a teenager going through emotions, shared this:

This might just be memory bias, but it seems like Barber would have roughly 200,000 hoop earrings, giant pink scuncis, jangly bracelets and more. Kimmy Gibbler knew how to pull a fashion ensemble together. Or she knew how to pull it completely apart. One of those. 

Finally, Candace Cameron Bure shared that she does indeed still have one of D.J. Tanner’s most memorable props, and shared that she also took a few family-specific things from the Fuller House set as well. In her words:

Anyone who started watching Full House at any point after the 1990s might not have any clue that the Pillow People were a huge toy line that existed outside the TGIF sitcom, though the popularity was relatively short-lived and largely limited to the late 1980s. The particular Pillow Person that D.J. favored was named Window Rattler.

For those who think it’d be amazing to live in the home whose exterior is used sparingly to represent the Tanner’s home, there’s proof to the contrary, with overeager and photo-happy fans making life difficult for those who have lived there. Hopefully events like ‘90s Con can help give fans like that someone more appropriate to show off their Full House adoration.

Over the years, John Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Lori Loughlin and their co-stars have fostered tight bonds both on and off camera. However, from the outside looking in, it would seem that the tight-knit group has been rattled by a few elements, including Cameron Bure’s traditional marriage comments. The actors themselves haven’t spoken out on the state of their relationships, but a source now claims is allegedly “devastated” that his found family is seemingly falling apart. 

This rumor allegedly comes from one of the actor’s friends, who spoke with RadarOnline.com. The unnamed source referred to his purported pal as “a get-along kind of guy” and claims that the Jesse Katsopolis actor “really believed” in the themes conveyed by he and his co-stars’ two sitcoms. With that, it apparently pains him to see his family in disarray at this time:

The first conflict to truly cause strife amongst the group was Lori Loughlin’s college admissions scandal, which saw her serve two months in federal prison. John Stamos has since defended Loughlin but, as the source mentioned to RadarOnline, he “caught a lot of crap for defending Lori” and that’s purportedly why he’s opted not to speak on Candace Cameron Bure’s situation. In November 2022, Cameron Bure stirred up controversy after she stated that Great American Family would heavily feature traditional marriage, likely meaning that LGBTQ+ relationships would not be featured.

This stance apparently brought the actress into conflict with her on-screen sister, Jodie Sweetin. After JoJo Siwa spoke out against Candace Cameron Bure’s comments, Sweetin supported the pop star and has since spoken out about being an LGBTQ+ ally. One of the latest updates on their reported squabble alleges that Cameron Bure was upset with Sweetin for publicly taking a stance on the matter as opposed to speaking with her one-on-one first. 

These controversies apparently aren’t the only situations that are said to be weighing on John Stamos, as he’s also still processing the death of Bob Saget – his longtime friend and co-star. The beloved actor and comedian died in January after experiencing blunt head trauma. Stamos, who sentimentally eulogized Saget, got real about mourning his friend at the funeral, which contributed to what he called “the hardest day” of his life. His alleged friend also said: 

It’s fair to say that the cast has been through a lot over the past few years. However, there may be reason to believe that the tension is cooling off. Some Full House stars are getting ready to reunite, as Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber and Dave Coulier will all appear at ‘90s Con in March. Only time will tell whether Cameron Bure and Sweetin will address any differences they have and whether they, John Stamos and their colleagues can re-establish the tight bond they once had.

At The Wrap’s Power Women Summit this month, the Hollywood vet talked about what it meant to her to show public support for marginalized groups, telling ET: 

The actress seemingly proved this to be true, after she showed support for JoJo Siwa and Holly Robinson Peete, who spoke out against Jodie Sweetin’s former co-star, Candace Cameron Bure. The chief creative officer for GAF told the Wall Street Journal that she thought Great American Family movies would keep “traditional marriage at the core,” as Hallmark premiered its first Christmas movie that featured gay leads.

Jodie Sweetin said at the summit that she was "so honored and lucky that I get to be at the forefront, and to have these discussions," saying that using her platform to fight for equality is not just a privilege, but a responsibility. She continued:

Amid Candace Cameron Bure’s brouhaha, Jodie Sweetin showed support for JoJo Siwa by commenting, “You know I love you,” after the So You Think You Can Dance judge called Bure “rude and hurtful” for what Siwa said was intentional exclusion of the LGBTQ+ community. Sweetin also reposted a message from Hallmark actress Holly Robinson Peete — who was one actress who stayed after many, like Bure, left Hallmark to join GAF — about the dangers of using tradition to justify discriminatory practices.

Even though Jodie Sweetin did not mention Candace Cameron Bure by name in her responses, her choice to speak publicly, rather than handle their difference of opinion one-on-one, may have caused some friction, as it appeared the older Tanner sister unfollowed Sweetin on social media.

The Stephanie Tanner actor's activism made headlines this summer, after the Full House alum was thrown to the ground by a member of the LAPD during an abortion rights rally. The actress did not address the incident with law enforcement afterward, instead expressing pride for those who protested alongside her and promising to continue to fight for justice.

Can you imagine them being so successful in fashion and then choosing to go back to what they were doing at 8 years old? That was a different lifetime to them. 

The TV Tanners may have been accepting of the Olsen twins’ decision, but Jodie Sweetin previously said they tried everything to get them to make an appearance, before they just stopped asking. Even the twins’ consistent refusals didn’t keep the spinoff characters from breaking the fourth wall several times throughout the series to make a pointed Olsen twins joke. It was often said that Michelle Tanner’s own fashion career was the reason she was never around.

Candace Cameron Bure’s comments on “traditional marriage” sparked quite the conversation, with many speaking out against what she said. Now, Bure and her Full House co-star Jodie Sweetin are apparently in a “pretty serious” disagreement over the comment. 

According to a source who spoke to ET, Sweetin is “progressive in her beliefs and Candace is very religious in hers.” The source also spoke about how In Sweetin’s opinion Bure’s comments “held a lot of weight,” and the two actresses “have different views and opinions on various important topics.” The source elaborated on how the Stephanie Tanner actress allegedly feels about her on-screen sister, saying: 

We’ve known for a while that Sweetin might not agree with what Bure said because she showed support for Jojo Siwa’s comments calling out the GAF star. Siwa has been clear that she disagrees with Bure about GAF keeping “traditional marriage” at the center of its content. Both Siwa's posts clearly called out the D.J. Tanner actress, and in the first post she said: 

Sweetin then commented on Siwa's Instagram post, writing: 

Along with supporting Siwa, Sweetin also supported Holly Robinson Peete’s post in response to Bure’s comment by reposting the Hallmark actress’s Instagram story. 

Following Sweetin’s support for Siwa, Bure seemingly unfollowed her on social media. So it appears that the Full House sisters may not be on the best terms following this whole situation. 

While things are not totally clear between Sweetin and Bure, there are many other actors who have directly spoken out against Bure’s comments. Along with Siwa, ex-Hallmark star Hilarie Burton called out Bure, calling her a “bigot,” and GLAAD responded to the Fuller House actress. GAF’s Danica McKellar also wanted to “set the record straight” saying she likes to “celebrate all forms of healthy love.” 

Bure has explained her controversial quote following so many responding to it.  She said she is “a devoted Christian” and believes “that every human being bears the image of God.” She added that because of that she is “called to love all people.” 

This whole conversation is happening as the 2022 Christmas movie schedule really gets going. Both Bure and Sweetin have movies coming out this holiday season, with Bure’s first GAF movie airing last week, and Sweetin’s Hallmark movie A Cozy Christmas Inn is on our list of Hallmark holiday movies to prioritize. 

With 2023 just over the horizon, bringing a smorgasbord of new and returning shows along with it, the chances of the Tanner family returning to the small screen aren’t overwhelmingly high. Between the tragic death of Bob Saget, co-star Candace Cameron Bure’s current duties at GAF (controversial as they may be), John Stamos’ various TV gigs and more, there just doesn’t seem to be the time or availability to make anything happen in the near future. But Jodie Sweetin has a pretty stellar idea for how to eventually bring the Tanners back to the small screen, and the late comedy queen Betty White would probably offer a giggly seal of approval for it. 

Speaking with E! News about the TV role that turned her into a household name through the decades that followed, Sweetin offered her proposal for how she’d want to return as Stephanie Tanner in the future, though possibly a bit deeper into the future than fans would expect. She’d like to catch up with the San Fran fam again when they’re in their golden years. In her words:

Jodie Sweetin would probably need to grow another few inches, while also pitching her voice deeper, in order to truly embrace her inner Bea Arthur. But it’s not like a second Full House continuation series would actually be a parody of Golden Girls or anything. Although I could actually see Andrea Barber’s Kimmy Gibbler slotting into the Sophia role, even if the age differences wouldn’t match up. Pretty sure we would need one or both of the Olsen twins to return as Michelle Tanner to make the female quartet whole, but that’s probably the least likely element to work out. 

While that particular idea is more of a random shot in the dark at how a return could work for these characters, Sweetin doesn’t actually know if such an idea is feasible. But while nothing is currently in the works, she reflected on how unlikely a Full House follow-up seemed in the years immediately following its conclusion, saying:

Jodie Sweetin will be 60 years old in another 20 years, which is slightly younger than three of the Golden Girls stars were when that show debuted. (Rue McClanahan was around 12 years younger than her co-stars.) So maybe don't set your 2042 calendars for the next Full House iteration just yet, but don't be wholly surprised if the Tanner family returns in some form.

Of course, that would probably mean the current backlash against Candace Cameron Bure over her GAF holiday movie comments regarding content focusing on "traditional marriages," which many have inferred as being a slight against the LGBTQ+ community, considering Bure left Hallmark Channel as it started becoming more inclusive with its programming. Sweetin herself has aligned with those speaking out against Bure, such as Holly Robinson Peete and JoJo Siwa, which reportedly led to Bure unfollowing Sweetin on social media. Will that be water under the bridge 20 years from now? 

All five seasons of Fuller House are available to stream with a Netflix subscription, while Full House’s eight-season run can be streamed in full with an HBO Max subscription. (Hulu is where the Golden Girls remain lively and thriving these days.) 

There’s nothing abnormal about the occasional spat between sisters, and I guess that’s true for TV families, too. It appears Candace Cameron Bure may have taken issue with Jodie Sweetin — who played her younger sister on Full House and Fuller House — showing support for JoJo Siwa and others who clapped back at the Great American Family actress for her comments about “traditional marriage.” While the two grew up together in front of viewers, and have remained close over the years, it appears that following all of the recent social media brouhaha, Bure has unfollowed her little sis.

Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin played Tanner sisters DJ and Stephanie (along with the Olsen twins’ Michelle) on the set of Full House, which ran from 1987 to 1995, and even went on to co-star in the Netflix spinoff Fuller House in 2016. The entire Full House family appears to have stayed in touch, as evidenced by how they rallied together this year following the sudden death of Bob Saget. But it seems the TV sisters have hit a rough patch, as US Weekly reports that Bure has unfollowed Sweetin on Instagram.

The whole issue began with a Wall Street Journal article, in which Candace Cameron Bure, who left Hallmark to join Great American Family, said she thought her new network would “keep traditional marriage at the core,” in regards to a question about LGBTQ+ couples being featured in the movies. The comment sparked backlash from many, including Dance Moms alum JoJo Siwa, who came out early in 2021 and had started a feud with the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries actress in July, when she called her the “rudest” celebrity she’d met.

Jodie Sweetin appeared to take JoJo Siwa’s side in the reignited squabble, and after the So You Think You Can Dance judge called Candace Cameron Bure’s comment “rude and hurtful,” Sweetin told Siwa in the comments: 

The Stephanie Tanner actress also showed support for fellow Hallmark actress Holly Robinson Peete, who posted an Instagram Story that appeared to call Candace Cameron Bure a “bigoted judgmental Holier than thou person,” though she didn’t mention Bure by name. Jodie Sweetin reposted another of Peete’s Instagram posts to her own Stories (per US Weekly), in which the Christmas in Evergreen actress discussed the use of tradition to justify discriminatory practices. Peete said, in part: 

While Jodie Sweetin’s support of her TV sister’s critics may have prompted Candace Cameron Bure to unfollow her, it appears Sweetin still follows Bure. Whether or not that'll change going forward remains to be seen.

Most of the Full House cast has remained mum yet supportive of co-star Lori Loughlin after she made headlines for allegedly falsifying information to get her daughter admitted to the University of Southern California. The allegations led to her missing out on Fuller House’s final season, and Hallmark ending its relationship with her. Following a short time in jail, Loughlin hasn’t spoken much about the admissions scandal and neither has her Full House family until now. Her TV husband John Stamos casually dropped an f-bomb while talking about her journey following the much-publicized scandal.

The Uncle Jesse actor spoke up for his former castmate while being interviewed on Armchair Expert. Stamos complimented host Dax Shepard for the nice words he said about Loughlin on the podcast. The TV uncle was skittish to talk about his TV wife given how polarizing she’s become following the headline-making scandal, he explained: 

Being close to Loughlin was a sore spot for Stamos as he’s known her for over three decades. They played everyone’s favorite odd couple for seven seasons on Full House (available through an HBO Max subscription) and its spinoff, Fuller House, for four seasons (available through a Netflix subscription). Their closeness still shines through today as evidenced by their viral TikTok video.

Having worked with Loughlin previously, Shepard called her “a sweet person” before mentioning he disagreed with her alleged actions. This prompted Stamos to speak about the things she’s reportedly done following her imprisonment. He even made an ironic joke about her going to jail rather than him or his male co-stars.

The Big Shots star even tried to clear her name by revealing what she allegedly told him following her jail sentence. He did get permission from the Great American Family star before saying:

While Stamos isn’t her official spokesperson, he managed to get Lori Loughlin’s reported side out to the fans. She hasn’t done too many post-scandal interviews outside of her testimonial video for her volunteer work earlier this year. The former Full House star has been making her way back to Hollywood with her first GAF movie Fall Into Winter, which saw her reunite with her TV niece Candace Cameron Bure in the network’s Christmas lineup.

As for what the two actors are up to now, John Stamos is currently on the series The Big Shots, which can be watched with a Disney+ subscription, and Loughlin is currently filming Fall Into Winter. 

Since the conclusion of Fuller House, fans have been clamoring for another sequel series to the original Full House. That speaks volumes to the series’ legacy, especially with the classic sitcom celebrating its 35th anniversary. While most of the cast still gets bombarded with questions, one of the sequel series' executive producers and stars John Stamos might have more insight into the possibility. The only major hitch in another Full House return would be the absence of Bob Saget aka Danny Tanner. Devoted fans might get their hopes dashed as Stamos got honest about whether he’d do another spinoff series without the late Saget.

Losing the comedian early this year put talks of another Full House reboot into limbo. That didn’t stop fans from asking the cast if they’d do it without Saget though. While other cast members might be open to the idea, Stamos was more on the fence about doing another sequel series. The Big Shots star opened up to E! News about why moving on without Saget isn’t an option for him right now.

Doing another Full House spinoff without the TV dad would leave a hole in the Tanner family. Saget did serve as Stamos’ biggest champion when the latter wanted to make the spinoff series. So, creating another sequel series may not sit well with the Uncle Jesse actor. Like most of the cast, Stamos had been paying tribute to his late friend since his death, including his gig at a Beach Boys concert. His sweet mix-up at TV niece Jodie Sweetin’s wedding was a notable example of Saget still being a part of the Full House family.

Another sequel series could be a possibility as the Full House and Fuller House casts have remained close since the Netflix series ended. It would be nice to see how the Tanners and Fullers come together again. Maybe they could pay tribute to him in some way or acknowledge his passing. Only time will tell if a Fuller House spinoff could happen.

On September 22, 1987, Full House made its premiere on ABC, introducing the world to the Tanner family. Bob Saget starred as widower Danny, who enlisted the help of brother-in-law Jesse Katsopolis and best friend Joey Gladstone to help him raise his three young girls after his wife’s death. America fell in love with the wholesome family hijinks, and a lot of that is likely due to the actual affection the actors developed for each other over the eight seasons. The cast proved again how strong that TV family dynamic remains, as they celebrated Full House’s 35th anniversary with sweet messages and throwback photos.

The TV Tanners stayed close following the end of the series in 1995, even reuniting in 2016 for the spinoff Fuller House (available to stream with a Netflix subscription). The full strength of the actors’ relationships, though, wasn’t known by many until we saw them rally together following Bob Saget’s death in January. As the Full House cast looked back at the show that changed their lives three and a half decades ago, you can bet the Tanner patriarch was present in pics and stories and spirit. Full House alum Jodie Sweetin has experienced highs and lows over the course of 2022 so far, from getting engaged to her boyfriend Mescal Wasilewski to the loss of her Full House dad Bob Saget. Her engagement, which prompted messages of love from other stars, including her TV sister Candace Cameron Bure, evolved into something more permanent after some difficulties, as Sweetin and her fiancé tied the knot on July 30. While her TV dad sadly wasn't around to watch her walk down the aisle, the Fuller House vet revealed her former co-star John Stamos made a last-second decision that helped her feel Saget’s presence at her wedding.

The sweet fictional father-daughter connection happened by coincidence through Jodie Sweetin friend and TV uncle John Stamos, who was preparing to head out when his wife disagreed with his shirt choice, causing him to swap shirts. While he noticed the button-up shirt was a bit big on him, he didn't yet realize he actually grabbed the shirt that Bob Saget’s widow Kelly Rizzo gifted him along with her late husband’s guitar. Sweetin revealed to E! News the fateful switch-up led to Saget still being a part of her nuptials, as it were. In her words:

It appeared to be fate that Stamos would pick that shirt on such a special day for a special person. It made for an even sweeter coincidence having Saget’s widow there at the ceremony as well. The Stephanie Tanner actress recalled the special moment she and John Stamos then shared after realizing he was decked out in Bob Saget's old shirt, saying:

It's fair to say that if Bob Saget were still around to offer his opinion, he'd likely have wanted Jodie Sweetin to know he’ll always be there for her in one way or another. Kissing the shirt was the father-daughter moment the newlywed needed, especially upon reflecting on the genuinely kind man, who'd helped her with processing loss and grief. Even if he couldn't be there in person, his memory still lives on strongly.

John Stamos wasn’t the only Full House alum to attend Jodie Sweetin’s wedding, as the She-Wolf pack reunited on her special occasion. Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber took some wedding pics with Sweetin alongside Stamos and other wedding guests. As the 40-year-old actress mentioned, the ceremony felt small and intimate with only select family and friends giving her and her husband love and affection. Hopefully, this won’t be the last time fans get an unexpected Full House reunion, and maybe Uncle Joey and Aunt Becky can be there the next time.

Full House/Fuller House star Jodie Sweetin recently got married, and it brought the sitcom cast together for a reunion. Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber showed up for the happy occasion, and instead of saying Stephanie’s iconic “How rude!” catchphrase, it’s more like “How sweet!” once you see these photos. 

Jodie Sweetin married Mescal Wasilewski, and her former co-stars were on hand to witness the nuptials. Bure took to Instagram to share some photos from the ceremony and included a touching message to her on-screen sister. For those who watched Fuller House, Bure also included a mention of the She-Wolf pack, which consisted of DJ, Kimmy, and Stephanie. You can see the fitting post below.

The beautiful photos showcased Jodie Sweetin walking down the aisle and included some happy moments from after the wedding. It’s so nice that her co-stars were able to attend and that they shared some moments with the Full House fanbase. The actress was very thankful for her on-screen big sister, as she showed her gratitude and adoration in a reply:

Speaking of nostalgia, the wedding brings back memories for me of the Fuller House finale. The series finale of the Netflix revival included a triple wedding for the She-Wolf pack, so to have them reunite for the real-life wedding of one of their own probably brought back some good memories for them. Andrea Barber replied to Candace Cameron Bure’s post, and her comment explains it all:

The cast of Fuller House have always spent time together outside of work, even years after Full House. In 2021, Candace Cameron Bure reunited with a few of her Fuller House castmates, and it was sweet and nostalgic across the boards. Seeing them together again makes me want another Full House spinoff, and Dave Coulier has shared an idea of how a spinoff could happen, though I can’t imagine it ever being the same without Bob Saget. 

Seeing the She-Wolf pack together is so sweet, especially following Andrea Barber’s Full House video for Candace Cameron Bure’s birthday earlier this year. There’s been a little bit of back-and-forth between Candace Cameron Bure and JoJo Siwa since the So You Think You Can Dance Judge called the actress the “rudest celebrity” she’d ever met. Even after the Fuller House vet spilled the tea on her supposed snub of the Dance Moms star, Siwa stood by her version of the events, and it turns out she wasn’t the first person in her family to speak about it. Her mom Jessalynn Siwa reposted a clip from her podcast discussing their run-in at the Fuller House premiere, adding a message to Bure about genuine kindness.

Jessalynn Siwa, who also appeared on the Lifetime reality show Dance Moms, took to Instagram to share a clip from a past episode of her podcast Success with Jess, in which she recalled Candace Cameron Bure dismissing her daughter after JoJo had asked for a photo. In the caption alongside the clip, the mom said it wasn’t about the photo op being ignored, but the way JoJo was treated. Jessalynn said:

Before JoJo Siwa and the GAC Family actress spoke on the phone regarding the former’s viral TikTok post, Candace Cameron Bure posted a Bible verse to her Instagram rather than addressing the situation directly. Not everyone saw that as taking the high road, though. In mentioning the actress’ morals, Jessalynn Siwa seemed to suggest the way she presents herself publicly is not the way Bure acted when they met her in person. The version of events the dance mom told wasn’t so different from what Candace Cameron Bure or JoJo Siwa have said, but it’s clear from the old clip that the mother/daughter duo held a grudge against Bure for years after the interaction. Jessalynn Siwa did give the actress some grace, however, admitting she didn’t know what was going on in Bure’s life to be able to dispute the fact that she really couldn’t take a picture with her daughter at that time. She said on the podcast:

Jessalynn Siwa’s daughter got her ego bruised by a celebrity they both had looked up to, and it’s understandable that she would hate to see JoJo Siwa go through that. Whether or not that speaks to Candace Cameron Bure’s overall demeanor is up for debate. Natasha Bure jumped in to defend her mother after the initial fracas, as a number of Bure’s friends rushed to support the Full House alum after JoJo’s accusations, saying no one should be judged based on a single moment. It’s just unfortunate that that single moment left such a lasting impression on the dancer.

There’s been an ongoing saga between Full House star Candace Cameron Bure and Dance Moms’ JoJo Siwa. The latter has grown extremely popular on social media in recent years, and a viral TikTok recently showed that she felt Bure was “The Rudest Celebrity” she’d ever met. However, apparently she didn’t think the video would go viral, as she and Bure connected after the incident, with the older actress explaining the backstory behind the video. She’s now also received support from her new GAC Family co-stars, including Jen Lilley, along with a slew of other celebrities. 

Candace Cameron Bure’s brand new GAC Family has been supportive in the past, and after she shared her side of this TikTok story, Jen Lilley was one of the first women to reach out, simply telling her network pal, “I love you.” Her former Hallmark co-star Alexa PenaVega also called her “a class act.” 

Hallmark's Jill Wagner, who recently announced her own Christmas film at GAC Family, also spoke out about being glad the two former Dancing with the Stars competitors had a chance to talk. 

Those who know the actress super well also came to her defense. Bure’s fitness instructor Kira Stokes – who often is the mind behind the star’s frequent workout videos – also shared nothing but kind words for her client.

And Bob Saget’s wife Kelly Rizzo also weighed in with a lighthearted joke that also makes it clear she does not feel Bure is remotely mean-spirited. Of course it's worth noting that Bure has been a champion of keeping Saget's legacy alive after his tragic passing earlier this year. She even created sweatshirts to remember Bob Saget and to help raise money for the Scleroderma Research Foundation, which he had championed while he was alive.  

Other celebrities personally seemed to identify with this story, which is a classic case of a story going viral on the internet in snippet form without any sort of nuance. Tori Spelling called Bure “her spirit animal,” before going on to explain: 

Most people know full and well that sometimes things aren’t as they seem on the Internet, but that doesn't usually stop stories like these from going viral. In this case, Candance Cameron Bure said she reached out to JoJo Siwa after the video went all over the interwebs. Siwa said she hadn’t thought it would be “a big deal,” but Bure asserted herself and noted, “it was a big deal.” 

The two got to talking and the younger social media personality admitted that one time when she was a kid on the red carpet at a Fuller House premiere, she had felt that Bure had not been kind to her. Now that she's done more red carpets as an adult, JoJo Siwa allegedly gets how busy it can get. Yet it still stood out as the rudest time she's been treated on a red carpet, which prompted the TikTok that went viral.  

It's been a complicated few days to explain a viral TikTok which lasts a sum total of six seconds, but it sounds like the two stars are on the same page now. Plus, even if Candace Cameron Bure made a lasting impression on Siwa in a not-so-great way, it seems clear she's done the opposite for many of the other people involved in her life. 

There’s a reason they say, “Never meet your heroes,” and it’s because often there’s no way those people we hold in high esteem can live up to the expectations we’ve set up for them in our minds. I don’t know if Full House star Candace Cameron Bure was ever a hero of JoJo Siwa’s, but it seems there must be some kind of unknown history between the two. The first-time So You Think You Can Dance judge slammed the actress (albeit for a split second) while taking part in a current TikTok trend, revealing who she thinks are the nicest, coolest — and rudest — celebrities she’s ever met.

The Dance Mom alum was feeling “exposed,” she said in the caption of her TikTok post, in which she shared superlatives regarding the famous people she’s encountered over the years. Her first reveal was a bit surprising, as the caption, “Rudest celebrity I’ve met…,” was followed by a grinning Siwa flashing a blink-and-you’ll-miss it screenshot on her phone of Candace Cameron Bure. It's a bit unfair of JoJo Siwa to tease us with that kind of shade and not give any explanation for why she thinks the Fuller House star is the rudest celebrity she's ever met. Candace Cameron Bure is known for roles like the saccharine-sweet D.J. Tanner on Full House and the super-chaste characters on GAC Family’s movies. Is it possible we’ve built up an expectation for the actress herself to be as consistently sweet and generous? Possibly, but either way that’s a pretty strong statement, especially coming from a former dance student of Abby Lee Miller. I need more information ASAP, thanks.

PageSix reported that JoJo Siwa attended the premiere of the Netflix spinoff Fuller House in 2016, but it’s unknown if the two shared an interaction then that the SYTYCD expert found rude enough to call Candace Cameron Bure out publicly. Bure has not responded to Siwa’s accusations, but she did get candid recently about going through a funk. She took to Instagram to share with fans that she hadn’t been able to find the motivation to work out and was “fighting against my own will.”

After her swipe at Candace Cameron Bure, JoJo Siwa's other TikTok reveals were fun — and way less controversial. She said her celebrity crush is Zendaya, Miley Cyrus is the nicest celebrity she’s met, and Elton John is the coolest. She did take one more shot with her last answer, proclaiming the “Celebrity that did me dirty…” was Spongebob Squarepants. I doubt the dancer has any actual beef with the absorbent and yellow and porous sponge. Rather, this was most likely in reference to her feud with Nickelodeon, who she blasted last year for not allowing her to perform the songs she’d written and recorded for The J Team while she was out on her D.R.E.A.M. The supposed beef between JoJo Siwa and Candace Cameron Bure is intriguing, to be sure, and it will be interesting to see if anything more is said about whatever transpired between the two. Tensions ran high over the weekend that followed the Supreme Court’s decision to reverse the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that recognized women's constitutional right to abortion. Many celebrities shared their views about the controversial ruling on social media, while others joined in on the numerous Pro Choice rallies that were organized around the country. Former Full House and Fuller House star Jodie Sweetin — a known women’s rights activist — attended a protest in Los Angeles, and a video from that event has gone viral, showing the actress being thrown to the ground by police.

In the video, Jodie Sweetin is shown with a megaphone on the side of a freeway where the protest was taking place, and officers can be seen pushing her back toward the road before shoving her to the ground. The incident was caught on camera, so take a look for yourself: 

After the Fuller House actress was helped off the ground, she took a moment to put her cap back on and collect herself before joining in as the crowd began chanting, “No justice, no peace.” Michael Ade, who shared the video, said Jodie Sweetin "was trying to lead a group of peaceful protestors away from the freeway" at the time of the incident. 

The Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement (per People) that it is aware of what happened and is looking into the officers’ use of force:

Jodie Sweetin released her own statement following the protest. She didn’t address the situation with the officers, but instead said she was proud of those who showed up to protest and promised to continue to fight for women’s rights. She said:

Jodie Sweetin came to fame as Stephanie Tanner on the beloved ‘80s and ‘90s sitcom Full House. She reprised the role for the Netflix reboot Fuller House, starring alongside former castmates Candace Cameron Bure, Andrea Barber, the late Bob Saget, John Stamos and more. Both shows are available for streaming with a Netflix subscription.

The Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision on June 24 to overturn Roe v. Wade did away with federal abortion protections, leaving it up to the individual states to pass laws for or against abortion. Upon the reversal, a number of states immediately enacted abortion bans. Expect to hear about more protests and legal wrangling in the coming weeks and months. 

Following the likes of Danica McKellar and others leaving Hallmark, Candace Cameron Bure became one of the latest stars to shift to new network GAC Family, and now she’s hyping one of her other major projects at the network. That would be none other than Full House, the TGIF series that really kicked Bure’s career into gear and led to even more popularity later when Netflix picked up its sequel Fuller House. Now, she’s hyping up these projects as she preps to make her debut on a new network. 

In a post just a few days after news broke that Bure would be shifting to the new network, Candace Cameron Bure opened up about Full House and even Fuller House re-runs available on her new network too. She topped off her sweet post with a quote reference that ardent fans will absolutely recognize and identify with. Take a look at her fun Instagram post: 

Episodes of Full House and Fuller House actually hit GAC Family earlier this year, but the shift to the new cabler is more significant now that the channel has actually landed Candace Cameron Bure. We know the popular Christmas movie star will be doing holiday content at GAC Family. In addition, a recent report revealed that one of Bure’s first new projects will be a “Thanksgiving Programming Event” that will have her hosting in what seems like it may be similar to what the actress has done in the past on Hallmark during the holiday season with its "Countdown to Christmas" slate. 

Why is this significant? Well, if she doesn’t end up filming a ton for GAC Family in the meantime, it could be a while before the cabler has built up a library of Bure titles in the same way that Hallmark has. Ergo, the Full House and Fuller House reruns are actually kind of an important tie-in here. 

It's not uncommon for cablers to fill out network rosters with syndicated shows. Hallmark does something similar with Golden Girls and other syndicated programs. Assumedly the TGIF series and its spinoff should be a good fit for GAC Family as well, given the network focuses on content that is "relentlessly family-friendly," as noted in a previous interview head honcho Bill Abbott gave on Up Next with John Contratti.

Of course, you don't need GAC family to catch D.J. Tanner and the gang. You can always watch Fuller House on Netflix streaming, as well. Also worth pointing out: the Fuller House gang has talked about another potential reunion at some point, as well, even following the tragic loss of Bob Saget earlier this year.  

Regardless, once Bure is on the network in full force, expect plenty of fun content from the star. Even though Candace Cameron Bure has spoken about "the pressure" that comes with making holiday films, those are expected to be a major part of her output.

For Full House and Fuller House vet Dave Coulier, the past year or so has been one full of heartbreak and tragedy, as he experienced what he has jokingly referred to as the “sorrow hat trick.” His brother Dan took his own life in 2021, his former co-star and lifelong BFF Bob Saget died in January of a head trauma, and then Coulier’s father passed away month or so later. Thankfully, the actor has been able to cope with such grief by maintaining his hard-earned sobriety, and he seems as optimistic as can be that the Full House crew could potentially get back together for another Tanner-focused project that would be a direct tribute to Saget himself.

In the months since Bob Saget’s untimely death, his former co-stars and TV family have reunited a variety of times, for dinners, for funeral-related reasons, for mini-vacations and more. To be expected, the idea of another Full House-centric project has come up during this time, and Dave Coulier expanded on that idea during his appearance on The Tamron Hall Show, explaining how the next follow-up could indeed keep Saget’s Danny Tanner in focus. In his words:

First and foremost, I think there’s always something more altogether wholesome about the world of TV and streaming whenever there’s a Full House project currently airing. As more and more series push the envelope and up the ante by way of excessive crime, violence and explicit language, it’s a comforting thought to know that there’s at least one show out there that can turn the world on with a smile. Wait, no, that’s The Mary Tyler Moore Show. On Full House and Fuller House, the most blatant four-letter word was “love.”

So in that sense, I’d happily join millions of other fans in supporting the process of bringing the jokingly titled Fullest House into existence in one way or another. I have to imagine the project would be on par with This Is Us in the sense of each episode requiring its own tissue dispenser, too. And not just for viewers, but for Candace Cameron Bure, Dave Coulier, Jodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber, John Stamos and anybody else who would sign on to pay season-long homage to Bob Saget’s magnificence as a TV dad. 

To play the devil’s advocate, though, I can’t help but think it would be strange for a TV show to just have a family sitting around reminiscing about a character who’d passed away. Obviously, Full House’s central narrative kicked off with the Tanner matriarch Pam dying, which sparked Dave Coulier’s Joey to move into the house as a surrogate-esque uncle. So the whole idea of death leading to togetherness is definitely right up this mini-franchise’s alley.

Of course, that’s assuming we’re talking about a full season of 10-20 episodes. If that’s not the case, I could more easily see and embrace a feature-length holiday special or something of that sort, with the family coming together for their first Christmas or someone’s birthday after Danny’s death, giving all of the characters a chance to reflect and honor Saget’s memory and impact. 

Plus, if they went for more of a limited-scope project, it might even convince Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen to legitimately contemplate a return to television as the long-absent Michelle Tanner. I mean, that probably won’t happen, but considering they actually went public following Saget’s death, it’s dangling from a thread of possibility.

During the same interview with Tamron Hall, Dave Coulier discussed having spoken with Bob Saget for the last time on the same day he died, hours ahead of the stand-up comedian’s final on-stage performance. The conversation certainly wasn’t indicative of the wave of mourning to come, as Coulier said they were texting each other and laughing. As they say, it’s always the best way to leave them.

With any luck, Coulier and his other former co-stars can find a long-lasting and meaningful way to pay tribute to Bob Saget through the Full House-verse. While waiting to see where things go, all five seasons of Fuller House are available to stream with a Netflix subscription. 

Candace Cameron Bure went viral a few months ago when she channeled her inner Ross and tried to “PIVOT!” a familiar blue couch down a staircase. While we all laughed at the reference to the famous Friends quote, the Fuller House actress was likely more focused on her ulterior motives. It turns out she was stealing the Full House couch that John Stamos famously kept for himself following the end of the iconic ABC sitcom. So why did the Uncle Jesse actor decide to “have mercy” on his TV niece? Apparently it was all for a good cause close to his wife’s heart. 

Caitlin McHugh Stamos started a podcast in March called How Can I Help?, in which she interviews people who are making a positive impact in the world and informs listeners how they, too, can contribute to the cause. Furthermore, all proceeds from the show are donated to the nonprofits chosen by the people she talks to. When Candace Cameron Bure heard about the premise of the podcast, she said she wanted to be involved. Apparently her appearance came at a price though — a pretty special piece of Full House memorabilia. John Stamos didn’t seem too upset at the couch-napping, though, when he promoted the episode on Instagram:

John Stamos joked that Candace Cameron Bure’s interest in Caitlin McHugh Stamos’ podcast was clearly just an excuse to get in his house to steal the couch. What goes around comes around, Katsopolis! 

He said losing the couch was worth it, though, because the Hallmark movie actress and her friend Shelene Bryan were “great” guests on How Can I Help? Bryan founded the organization Skip 1, which encourages people to sacrifice one thing — big or small — in the name of helping to save children’s lives around the world. Candace Cameron Bure serves on the board of Skip 1 and was excited to introduce Bryan and McHugh Stamos.

In fact, in promotion of the podcast episode, the actress posted another Instagram pic from the day of the couch-napping, revealing that her accomplice was none other than Caitlin McHugh Stamos (wearing that lovely “Love Like Jesus, Hug Like Bob Saget” sweatshirt that Candace Cameron Bure designed after the comedian’s January death):

Candace Cameron Bure and John Stamos have both been outspoken in the months following Bob Saget’s tragic death about how much they loved their former co-star. Saget’s widow Kelly Rizzo revealed that as she packed up their belongings to sell their house, she gave Stamos her husband’s guitar, since they used to play music together. Perhaps that sweet gift made the sting of losing the couch hurt a little less. 

That blue plaid couch might look familiar not just to Full House fans, but to those who watched the Netflix spinoff Fuller House as well. On the Season 1 episode “Secrets, Lies & Firetrucks,” Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) gave her dad (Bob Saget) a shirt made of the couch’s fabric, and upon seeing Candace Cameron Bure’s video of the couch back in February, Kelly Rizzo confirmed that Saget still had the “Sofa Blazer.”

The famous couch is still with someone in the Full House family, even if it’s not John Stamos. And apparently he’s okay with Candace Cameron Bure taking ownership, especially because it was helpful to his wife’s cause. (That’s assuming they were able to get the couch down the stairs at all, because it looked like no amount of yelling “PIVOT!” was going to work!)

The comedy world is still reeling three months since the sudden and tragic death of Bob Saget at age 65, and it appears his widow Kelly Rizzo, who has continued to post memories about their life and vacations together, is taking steps to move forward. As she prepares to sell the house she'd lived in with her husband of four years, she’s sharing some of Saget’s belongings with the other people he loved the most. John Stamos was obviously one of those friends whom the comedian held dear, and Rizzo had a special gift for her late husband’s Full House brother-in-law.

John Stamos played the rock 'n' roll-loving Uncle Jesse on Full House (and the Netflix sequel Fuller House), brother-in-law of Bob Saget’s Danny Tanner. The actors remained close over the years — as did seemingly the whole Full House gang — and the Big Shot actor has been outspoken about his love for the comedian since his January 9 passing. As Kelly Rizzo prepares to put their house up for sale, an insider told US Weekly about the item she reserved for Stamos: 

That really is a thoughtful gift, and I’m sure he will treasure the guitar as much as he does the memories of making music with Bob Saget. (I do wonder if she also considered giving John Stamos the couch, too, because it seems like he’s into that kind of thing.) The actor was reportedly “surprised and grateful” at the generous gift, the insider said, and I can only imagine how many emotions it brought up.

Kelly Rizzo is surely going through her own emotional struggles as she packs up the house she lived in with Bob Saget, who she married in 2018, as she prepares to sell. Despite the memories she and her husband made there — she’s posted about his love for life and food and cooking — keeping up the house has apparently become too much, the insider said:

It’s a lovely gesture that she’s gifting some of her husband’s things to his loved ones. John Stamos has kept Bob Saget’s memory alive by continuing to share stories and memories about his former co-star. He called the former America’s Funniest Home Videos host his “biggest cheerleader” and loved giving Stamos credit for getting the Tanners back together for Fuller House. 

At the comedian’s funeral, which John Stamos called “the hardest day” of his life, the Beach Boys BFF gave a heartfelt and slightly raunchy eulogy, where he recalled his friend as “a guardian angel with the dirtiest mouth and a heart as big and benevolent as forever.” Afterward Stamos was among the many musicians, comedians and loved ones who gathered at The Comedy Store to pay tribute to “America’s dad.”

TV hasn’t been the same since Fuller House concluded its five-season run on Netflix. That hasn’t stopped the Full House cast from reuniting occasionally, as evident by Candace Cameron Bure’s ‘90s Con pics. Of course, another occasion came up for the cast as Bure celebrated her 46th birthday. Not everyone could join physically so social media became the place for well wishes. Full House’s Andrea Barber took the cake with a reference-filled video, but it ended up being a gift for everyone.

Of course, the bond between the Full House alums goes beyond the small screen as the two actresses have shared off- and onscreen moments. So, celebrating the Queen of Hallmark Channel’s  birthday wasn’t out of the norm. But Barber didn’t just sprinkle in Full House and Fuller House references; she decided to channel Kimmy Gibbler in her shout-out. In typical Kimmy style, the actress had to start her special gift by throwing a certain Tanner sister under the bus.

While Barber and Jodie Sweetin are close in real life, the Fuller House actress couldn’t help but drag the middle Tanner sister by using her signature catchphrase. She mentioned the iconic phrase again as she referenced Stephanie and Kimmy’s brother Jimmy’s newborn daughter only popping up once or twice on the Netflix series after her birth.

But DJ Fuller didn’t go unscathed on Candace Cameron Bure's special day, as Andrea Barber had to bring up the time that Kimmy's lifelong BFF forgot a special birthday. Barber got a good quip in by saying,

For any avid Full House fan, the infamous hash brown cake will live on forever. In the Season 6 episode “Birthday Blues,” DJ scrambles at the last minute to throw a birthday party together for Kimmy after getting caught up in her and Steve’s six-month anniversary. But that didn’t stop the actress from celebrating her co-star’s birthday as she pushed a Gibbler family favorite – the Gibbler gallop. The comedic actress did a seated version of the birthday celebratory dance.  

Once her co-stars were out of the way, Barber even had time to clap back at some fans for the backlash the Netflix revival series finale received while squeezing in a sweet reference to Uncle Jessie’s rock star days. Yes! A “Forever” reference. It fed not only my love for the ABC sitcom to see the actress go full Kimmy, but Candace Cameron Bure's comment section was filled with sweet and spirited reactions from other Full (and Fuller) House alumni. Hopefully, fans won’t have to wait until another fan convention or another revival(?) to see the cast together again.

Dave Coulier and the entire Full House family have had a tough year, after Bob Saget unexpectedly passed away in January. The Uncle Joey actor has stayed close to the TV Tanners and is often seen hanging out with Candace Cameron Bure, who played his TV quasi-niece DJ. As they continue to work to process their grief, however, Coulier is also taking time out to reflect on his personal achievements. The comedian recently celebrated two years sober, and he shared a sad photo that showed the consequences of his alcohol abuse.

In an Instagram post showing his face with multiple cuts and scratches, Dave Coulier recalled an accident he’d had while drunk, in which he fell going up some stone stairs. The comedian looked really banged up, and the photo shows how far he’s come since he quit drinking January 1, 2020. Take a look for yourself.

The actor reflected on his drinking days, saying he was the "life of the party," and that nobody enjoyed grabbing "beers with the boys" more than he did. It came at a price, though, as he said that eight hours of drinking would lead to two days of "feeling like a bowl of dog mess."

It's so important that Dave Coulier take the time to celebrate this achievement. Two years is a long time, especially with everything that's happened since January 2020, and sobriety can be a day-to-day struggle for some. 

As to be expected, he wasn't left to celebrate alone. Several of the Full House family showed up in the comments to support "Uncle Joey" amid the milestone. Bob Saget’s widow, Kelly Rizzo, was even among them, commenting “Love you Dave,” with heart emojis. Scott Weinger, who played Steve on both Full House and its Netflix sequel Fuller House, left applause and heart emojis.

Candace Cameron Bure joined in the show of love for her friend, commenting, “Love you and always proud of you,” and her on-screen BFF Andrea Barber, who played Kimmy Gibler, also showed her support, saying, "I love you and I’m so proud of you. You inspire me!"

Dave Coulier’s biggest supporter, however, seems to be his wife Melissa. The actor thanked his wife, who he married in 2014, for sticking by him through everything, including the withdrawal process that he called a “big challenge.” 

It's no easy task watching someone you love suffer in such a way, both in the addiction and the withdrawal, and it sounds like Dave Coulier is in a much better place now, surely thanks in no small part to his wife. She also commented on his Instagram post: "SO proud of you. I love you and your strength so much!!"

It's so great to see that the actor is taking care of his health and has been able to see such success in his sobriety, despite everything that's happened over the past two years. He joined some of his former castmates at 90s Con in Connecticut recently, where he even expressed interest in reprising the role of Joey Gladstone again, perhaps someday in Fullest House. Co-stars Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber were right there with him, immediately saying they were "totally" on board.

Two generations have now grown up alongside the Tanner/Fuller family. First there was Full House, which aired for eight seasons on ABC in the 1980s and ‘90s. That was when Bob Saget became affectionately known as “America’s Dad,” playing widower Danny Tanner. Danny’s oldest daughter DJ (Candace Cameron Bure) grew up to become DJ Tanner-Fuller, leading the Netflix revival Fuller House, which featured new families and family tree branches, but also plenty of familiar faces.

With Fuller House coming to an end in 2020 after five seasons — and the recent death of Bob Saget from a head trauma — the question of if we’ll ever see the Tanner bunch gather around the blue plaid couch again is a big one. Even if they could, would they want to, knowing that Danny Tanner wouldn’t be a part of it? Some of the shows’ stars addressed that very question as they reunited for 90s Con in Connecticut last weekend.

Andrea Barber, who played DJ’s BFF Kimmy Gibler on both series, told NBC’s “Morning News Now” anchor Joe Fryer how special it was to see moms who had been Full House fans bonding with their daughters who watched Fuller House. This prompted Dave Coulier — or Uncle Joey — to joke: 

I mean, that would be the natural progression, right? You can’t have Full and Fuller without the Fullest! But is that superlative sequel series something they would actually consider? Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber immediately both responded, “Totally!” and Dave Coulier also seemed ready to reprise his role:

Obviously there are no plans to continue with a third installment of the franchise, but it’s exciting to hear how much the actors still love those characters. However, if a new series ever did come to fruition, there would be one familiar face missing, after Bob Saget’s tragic passing at age 65. 

So would teaming up again without America’s Dad be painful, or would it be healing? Andrea Barber said it would be both, but apparently thinks it's worth it. In her words:

Bob Saget loved his TV family, which has been made evident in the past couple of months from the stories that his former co-stars have shared. I’m sure he would love to see the gang continue to work together, even if it means doing it without him. Also, Fuller House featured tons of callbacks to the original series. Can you imagine the Saget tributes that would be included if Fullest House were ever made? Check out the full interview below:

While it’s likely unrelated to their former roles of DJ and Steve, Candace Cameron Bure and Scott Weinger recently revealed that they’re “cooking up something good,” as the TV couple posed for a selfie at her Redrock production office. I'm excited to see what that's all about and look forward to seeing if any of the other former co-stars join forces for future projects!

The Full House and Fuller House actors have remained close over the years, but they’ve particularly leaned on each other since Bob Saget’s death. Candace Cameron Bure said Saget’s family — both real and TV — were together “every day practically 24 hours a day — in the week between his passing and his funeral.
