The New York Knicks have seen the promised land, as the beloved franchise has won its first NBA championship since 1973. Since the team landed its 4-1 victory over the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals, they’ve been doing press. All the activity seems to be visibly affecting at least one of the players, though, as OG Anunoby humorously seemed out of it while being interviewed on Good Morning America. The video of that moment has since gone viral, and those who see it may understand why.

On Monday, Anunoby and the rest of the starting five – (Law & Order hopeful) Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges. The group spoke with Robin Roberts, Michael Strahan and George George Stephanopoulos while they were on GMA, with the hosts lauding their play. At one point, Stephanopoulos asked the group about the impact of head coach Mike Brown, and the silent Anunoby only maintained a vacant expression before Brunson chimed in. I don’t know what makes me laugh more: the hazed stare or the eruption of laughter from the players and the hosts when they realize the British small/power forward wasn’t going to answer. Also, I have to wonder what was running through Anunoby’s mind after he heard that question (if it even registered at all). Overall, though, what we have here is prime fodder for a meme that could permeate social media for quite some time, as it should. The comments from some of the fans in the X thread are also great:

To be fair, though, it’s completely understandable that OG Anunoby – who also won a title with the Toronto Raptors in 2019 – given the Knicks were busy as the NBA Playoffs unfolded on the 2026 TV schedule. And, more recently, Anunoby was putting in serious work during that championship series. His biggest moment arguably came at the end of Game 4 when he tipped in the ball to score and give the Knicks the lead with 1.2 seconds left on the clock. Like this new video clip, that decisive basket is going to be talked about for some time.

Knicks fans seem electrified by the fact that an NBA title has finally returned to New York, and even celebrities who’ve followed the team are hyped about it. Timothée Chalamet took in the champagne and celebrations after the win, and Jennifer Lopez exploded with joy over seeing her Knickerbockers win that final game. Tracy Morgan even went on an expletive-laden rant while hyping up his team on live TV. I expect this level of hype to continue up until the team gets its rings and raises its championship banner this fall.

Later this week, OG Anunoby and his teammates will have the championship parade on June 18, which is sure to draw plenty of spectators. I sincerely hope that once everything settles down Anunoby will be able to rest a bit – and revel in the fact that he may have just become an internet celebrity.

Savannah Guthrie’s big return to Today was memorable, perhaps culminating in a much-needed boost when Guthrie and Hoda Kotb reunited on the air. It had been a troubling few months for the early morning host after she left the show to deal with her mother Nancy’s disappearance. NBC reportedly thought her return would mark a ratings boost for the show and be a “massive moment” returning the daytime show to its glory days. What’s happened instead is that Today and Good Morning America are still duking it out for eyeballs, and the whole thing has my rapt attention.

If you haven’t been paying attention, it’s been a ratings rat race for both series over the past few months. NBC will push ahead, then ABC will make a push toward that No.1 slot, and this jockeying has been going on for some time. In fact, it’s really ABC that’s made a lot of headway throughout the 2026 TV season, with the Robin Roberts, Michael Strahan and George Stephanopoulos series making major moves.

This past week was nearly a photo finish in the numbers. GMA pulled into second place with (via Ad Week) 2.924 million total viewers and 508,000 viewers in the demo for Adults 25-54, which is where most advertisers are heavily focused. Meanwhile, Today did slightly better with 2.996 million total viewers and 639,000 viewers in the aforementioned advertising demo.

CBS Mornings continued as the distant third place finisher at the end of April with 1.756 million total viewers and 310,000 viewers in the demo. As I said, though, the first two shows remain close.

Look, I get it, Today was still top pony here, but why are these numbers worth discussing? I’ll tell you: GMA continues to close the gap on its closest competitor. It was up 10% in the ratings in total viewers for the week of April 20th, while Today was only up a 1%. In a world where The Kelly Clarkson Show and Sherri are ending, I’ll be interested to see where those viewers go next TV season.

Meanwhile, Guthrie’s return may not have been the ratings clincher NBC hoped for, but there’s no doubt more people are tuning in to daytime talk shows right now, and there are numbers to be gobbled up with the right programming. Clearly, something magical is happening at GMA right now, as the personalities on Today have long been the fan-favorites. (Though that has changed a bit in the post-Matt Lauer era.) But heightened security in the post Guthrie-disappearance world and more vibes may be impacting the series these days. Now, the dark horse is gunning for the longtime morning show.

To continue these horse analogies, yes, it was less exciting than watching the Kentucky Derby, but it’s been fascinating to watch, nonetheless.

The TV news landscape is currently experiencing a period of great change, and that’s been the case for Good Morning America. Even ahead of the 2026 TV schedule, ABC’s flagship morning show has seen personnel shifts and, just recently, co-anchor Janai Norman was relieved of her duties. From the outside looking in, Norman’s exit appears to have been unexpected, and the journalist herself seemed to suggest that when she broke her silence on the development. All in all, Norman had some candid thoughts to share on being let go.

Norman – who replaced Dan Harris as GMA’s co-anchor – learned just recently that her contract was not being renewed by ABC News. She subsequently took to Instagram to share a video in which she addressed the matter. During her address, Norman expressed gratitude and declared her love for her former job. She also, however, got real about the aspect of the aspect of the situation that was particularly heartbreaking for her:

Janai Norman’s broadcasting career began in earnest in 2011, at which point she began interning with ABC News. She eventually made stops at TV stations in Oklahoma and Florida before rejoining the alphabet network as a correspondent and as one of the hosts of GMA Weekend. And, in 2022, Norman officially took over the co-anchor position. While Norman expressed disappointment over how her tenure at ABC ended, she also shared one silver lining:

Over the last year, ABC has lost anchors, while execs have been aiming to revamp the content being delivered by the company’s news branch. 2025, for example, marked big changes for GMA3, as co-hosts DeMarco Morgan and Eva Pilgrim were relieved of their duties. Sources claim much of the creative changes to that specific program have to do with a supposed lack of stability years after the relationship between Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes (the show’s former hosts) was revealed.

When it comes to changes, CBS News has also been making headlines as of late due to the new regime change behind the scenes. Bari Weiss was named editor-in-chief this past October and, since then, she’s received attention for the reported changes she’s seeking to implement in the company’s news coverage strategies. That hasn’t come without controversy, as Weiss received blowback for pulling a 60 Minutes story related to the Trump Administration in December. That aside, CBS as a whole has been experiencing layoffs, and some notable personalities have been exiting the company.

As for ABC News, the company has not provided an official reason for not renewing Janai Norman’s contract. What is known, though, is that per her recent IG post, Norman will have more to share when she feels the time is right.

Normally, news anchors are the ones reporting the scary news. However, yesterday, before Good Morning America’s July 29 broadcast on the 2025 TV schedule, one of its anchors, George Stephanopoulos, lived the scary news as he got stuck in an elevator. He’s perfectly fine, don’t worry. In fact, he reported his own story on the morning news. However, seeing this all go down spooked me.

As the anchors of GMA went over the headlines of the day, they also took a minute to acknowledge the newsworthy event that happened in their building. After George Stephanopoulos got stuck in an elevator in their office, the New York Fire Department had to come to the rescue. It seemed like quite the event, take a look:

In the video, the long-time Good Morning America anchor explained that he was entering the building with his security guard, and they got stuck in the freight elevator. Then, it stopped between the second and third floors, and they had to wait about an hour and 15 minutes for the NYFD to come to the rescue.

The firefighters did save the day with their hand-dandy ladder, and Stephanopoulos and his security guard were perfectly fine. In fact, the anchor seemed pretty unbothered by the situation as he revealed what he did while they waited for rescue:

Honestly, Stephanopoulos seemed more unbothered by this snafu than Jenna Bush Hager was last week when she said a curse word on air. Admittedly, those are two very different situations. However, if I were the GMA host, I would have been deeply stressed, much like the Today with Jenna and Friends host was.

Truly, getting stuck in an elevator is a real fear I have. So, George Stephanopoulos’ situation is a literal nightmare. However, his little issue did prove how perfectly fine you can be when stuck in this situation. As long as you remain cool, calm, collected and patient, you’ll probably be fine. Plus, if you have good enough data or wifi in that moving tin can, you can distract yourself with work and reading, like he did.

Plus, he wasn’t even late for the broadcast. He was there at the top of the show and did his work like it was a normal day. So, all around, this wound up being a very entertaining and lighthearted story, which I love to see.

Now, GMA has been involved in some big news and rumors. Earlier this year, there was speculation that GMA3 might get canceled, which turned out not to be true. That hour of the broadcast has made headlines over the years, too, as Michael Strahan, Sara Haines and Keke Palmer’s iteration of it was axed, and then it faced drama when it became public knowledge that Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes were in a relationship.

These days, GMA is doing well. Well, except for the fact that George Stephanopoulos got stuck in an elevator. But have no fear, he’s fine, he made it to work, and he got some emails finished while he was waiting to be saved.

Good Morning America has seen a number of changes over the past few years, with some personnel shifts coming in the aftermath of Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ firings in early 2023. As of late, there have been a number of reports regarding the future of one GMA hour, though it was said that there was no cause for concern. Now, an insider alleges that some big changes are indeed coming down the pipeline. And, with that, a couple of anchors could be on their way out the door.

What’s Allegedly Going On With GMA3?

The third hour of Good Morning America, which is called GMA3: What You Need to Know, is allegedly about to undergo some major changes. A source tells Page Six that by “the end of the summer,” the telecast is going to look very different. That’s in large part because current hosts DeMarco Morgan and Eva Pilgrim are purportedly set to be fired in the near future. Apparently, execs want to make these changes due to poor ratings for the show. As of this writing, the alleged firings have not been confirmed by the network, but a rep said this:

Eva Pilgrim and DeMarco Morgan were officially tapped to become the two hosts of the third hour in May 2023. Up to that point, both journalists served as correspondents and anchors for ABC News. Their tenures with the show have been somewhat less “eventful” than those of predecessors T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach. However, in May 2024, Morgan received attention after bike photos that showed off his bulge went viral. (The situation has since been dubbed “Bulge Gate” by some across the Internet).

As for who would replace the hosts, insiders allege that the alphabet network may seek to fill the gaps with some of its top-tier talent. That would include the likes of Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan. While this isn't official, the rep also specified that Stephanopoulos, Strahan and Roberts would "continue to be featured" on the show.

What Happened With Amy Robach And T.J. Holmes And What Are They Up To Now?

In late 2020, T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach began hosting GMA3 together and, in 2022, they became embroiled in a situation involving leaked vacation photos. Said pictures revealed the relationship between Robach and Holmes – who were both still married to Marilee Fiebig and Andrew Shue, respectively – at the time. ABC subsequently took them off the air and, by early 2023, they signed exit agreements with the network.

Since all of that went down the two former Good Morning America anchors, who are still romantically involved, have become podcast hosts. They co-host Amy & T.J. for iHeartRadio and, on the show, they’ve been candid about their love lives. In addition to saying that they were both separated at the time their relationship was divulged, they’ve talked about having their jobs “unfairly taken” from them.

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ departures may not have been smooth but, in the years since, it’s been claimed that ABC News has had a hard time filling the void. With that, it’s reasonable to wonder if DeMarco Morgan and Eva Pilgrim’s tenures are truly almost over. Of course, the public at large won’t know for sure until official announcements are made on that front.

The media industry has seen its fair share of ups and downs just over the last several years. Layoffs have affected not only more traditional news outlets but massive networks as well. The Disney-owned ABC News has been dealing with those as of late, and it was rumored that it was going to take a toll on one of the company’s most prized institutions. Per reports, it seemed that Good Morning America was going to be eviscerated, especially when it came to the show’s third hour. Now, as the 2025 TV schedule pushes on, we have new details.

Earlier in March, it was reported that due to massive layoffs at The Walt Disney Company, GMA3: What You Need to Know had essentially been “gutted.” GMA3 executive producer Catherine McKenzie was even let go as a result of the cuts. The reported restructuring efforts reportedly led to the elimination of 200 positions in total. Sources alleged, at the time, that morale at the company was low due to the major staffing adjustments being made.

Yet it seems reports of What You Need to Know’s demise weren’t exactly on point. A source spoke to The New York Post, and it sounds like viewers have no reason to fret. It seems the Alphabet Network has “no intention of doing away with” the program. They further reiterated that “the show is not going away and the anchors aren’t going away.” Nevertheless, the other company-wide changes do mark a shift in the brand’s direction, and ABC News President Almin Karamehmedovic acknowledged that in an internal memo sent to employees:

Originally introduced as GMA Day in 2018, GMA3 went through several phases of development before reaching its current state. At one point, the show was even hosted by Michael Strahan, Sara Haines and Keke Palmer, before that iteration was canceled. By the fall of 2020, it morphed into a more straightforward news telecast, with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes tapped to host it.

All of this speculation surrounding Good Morning America’s third hour comes a few years after the show was linked to a bit of drama involving its hosts at the time. T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach’s relationship was divulged and the two were ultimately taken off the air. By early 2023, the pair signed exit agreements and parted ways with the network. With that, Eva Pilgrim and DeMarco Morgan were hired to replace them as permanent hosts.

Corporate cuts aren’t foreign to the House of Mouse and its various brands, as ABC employees have been laid off at various points over the past several years. Disney’s sports branch, ESPN, also faced high-profile cuts back in 2023. Given the state of the industry, analysts and talent alike have expressed concerns about the future.

For right now, though, it seems that GMA3 isn't in danger of being axed. It’ll still be intriguing to see just how ABC News – as well as its peers – continue to navigate a media landscape that continues to evolve.

Robach and Holmes are now headlining their own morning show. The program, Morning Run, just premiered this week and, moving forward, it’ll air daily Monday through Friday.

On Amy & T.J., the eponymous couple talk about a variety of topics, including their personal lives. (An episode even saw them talk about how their jobs at ABC were “unfairly taken” from them.) Robach, who shared the Morning Run news on Instagram, described the new show and, based on her description, it’ll cover quite a bit of ground. The former Today Show host and her partner are “bringing you daily news, entertainment and lifestyle headlines, keeping listeners informed and entertained every day of the workweek.” In some ways, it doesn’t sound too dissimilar from GMA3: What You Need to Know.

Those who’ve been enjoying the couple’s podcast shouldn’t worry about that being dropped in favor of the show either. It’s been confirmed that it will continue to run during its scheduled time, as it “features more in-depth conversations and interviews” compared to the morning show. Needless to say, this is a significant professional step forward for the two journalists following their GMA stints. All the while, if a source is to be believed, the duo’s former network isn’t in a position that’s seemingly as positive as theirs right now.

Why Is ABC Allegedly Facing A Talent Crisis?

ABC News has long featured winning personalities over the years, like Robin Roberts and Stephanopoulos. While those two and other veterans are still with the network, it’s been suggested that the network doesn’t have anyone with the potential to become the faces of the network down the road. Per Page Six, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes were reportedly being eyed for those positions before they signed their exit agreements. The insider went on to share why their exits were purportedly so pivotal for the network:

The morning show positions reportedly aren’t the only ones that need to be considered, per that same insider. As they explained, David Muir’s seat on ABC World News is also at stake:

These claims should be taken with a grain of salt right now, as the network itself has not spoken out on the matter. Regardless of what may or may not be happening, it can be said that Amy Robach, T.J. Holmes and their peers (who reportedly had strong thoughts on their relationship) are in different professional phases. And whether their paths ever cross again at some point is anyone’s guess.

ABC News’ Good Morning America has experienced some personnel-related drama over the past few years. What was arguably the most notable situation was the revelation of T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach’s relationship and their eventual departures from the network. In recent months, one of their former co-workers, Rob Marciano, has been making headlines due to alleged workplace behavior. At the time, insiders claimed that the 55-year-old weatherman “made people feel uncomfortable” and that there had been some “alarming events” involving his supposed conduct. The Daily Beast sources have also alleged that he engaged in a “screaming match” with a producer. Reports of his supposed ousting from the company came this past April, during which it was said that multiple people complained about him. As T.J. Holmes continued to speak on the matter, he addressed his own history with Marciano, including their days working at CNN in the early 2000s before heading to ABC. He also added the following sentiments: 

T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach do indeed know what it’s like to be at the center of various rumors. After they were pulled from GMA’s broadcast in late 2022 due to their relationship coming to light, insiders made various claims about the timeline of their romance. Said speculation continued through them signing their exit agreements and starting their hunt for new jobs. As for the trajectories of their careers having been changed, both have been open about their belief that their jobs were “unfairly taken” from them. Since Holmes and Robach have landed new gigs as podcast hosts and been candid about their relationship, the rumors have mostly seemed to have stopped swirling around them. 

It remains to be seen whether more information on the situation regarding Rob Marciano will come to light. In the meantime, though, it would seem that T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach can, at the very least, empathize with the notion of making various headlines due to alleged controversy.

ABC News is no stranger to drama, especially when it comes to its flagship early a.m. talk show, Good Morning America. While the Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes drama has dimmed, the program has more recently been engulfed in what some could refer to as Bulge-Gate. Said controversy involves GMA co-host DeMarco Morgan and some photos that showed off his bulge. Such a situation may seem unlike any other that’s ever occurred in Hollywood. However, there was another bulge-related matter that unfolded just a few years ago. 

What Was The Previous Bulge-Centric Controversy That Made Headlines?

Interestingly enough, the prior Bulge-Gate involved another branch of the Disney family – Marvel Studios. This all went down amid the release of the well-reviewed Black Panther Wakanda Forever. One of the new characters that the film introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe was Namor, the king of the underwater nation of Talokan. Played by Tenoch Huerta, the character mostly stayed true to his comic book roots – even when it came to his costume. The revered antihero simply wore a green speedo, and many across social media swooned over him. 

What some seemed to argue, however, is that the character’s bulge was edited out. One user even took to X to post a side by side, with one supposed photo maintaining Tenoch Huerta’s alleged endowment and another being without it. The person in question also included the caption, “GIVE NAMOR HIS PENIS BACK.” Check out the post:

After becoming aware of the matter, the Mexican actor himself responded to the drama over his costume during an interview with GQ and offered a level-headed response:

With that, there’s no need to have any doubt about anything being erased if you watch Wakanda Forever (which can be streamed with a Disney+ subscription). The Dark Forces’ actor’s comments effectively put the debate to rest, and you have to give kudos for being so honest about that. Though that situation may have been a bit awkward, it arguably doesn’t completely compare to what’s more recently been happening with GMA.

How Has The DeMarco Morgan Situation Played Out Thus Far?

It was an Instagram post that DeMarco Morgan shared on April 21 that caused a bit of an uproar at ABC News. The 45-year-old veteran journalist posted pics of himself on Instagram, in which he wore workout gear and a bike helmet. What seemed to really catch people’s attention were his tight shorts, which clearly showed off his bulge. It was reported at the time that Morgan’s colleagues at the Alphabet Network found the photos to be embarrassing. Sources also claimed that the anchor himself believed his co-workers were overreacting. 

As of this writing, the post still remains active on his social media account. Days later, the TV personality actually took to the platform again to post a series of photos from a bike race, which featured him wearing different shorts. Check out that post below:

There’s a bit of uncertainty regarding whether the situation will be further addressed moving forward. What can be said, though, is that it’s interesting how bulge-related situations can cause quite a stir, whether we’re talking about one’s impact on broadcast news or a feature film within the order of Marvel movies.

When it comes to shows like GMA3: What You Need to Know and other news programs, the goal is to report the news, not be the news. However, for over a year now, Good Morning America has continued to find itself in the headlines. First it was the alleged affair between Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes that was revealed in November 2022, and more recently other exits have rocked the longtime morning show. The latest behind-the-scenes drama, however, involves GMA3 anchor DeMarco Morgan and viral images of his bulge in bike shorts.

DeMarco Morgan, one of the anchors who replaced T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach on GMA3, posted some photos to Instagram back in April that showed the morning show host posing with his bicycle while wearing workout clothes and a bike helmet. The pics immediately caught fans’ attention due to the tightness of Morgan’s shorts and the bulge that seemingly left little to the imagination. See the pics for yourself:

So why are DeMarco Morgan’s cycling pics causing drama at his job? According to TMZ, several of his colleagues at ABC find the photos embarrassing — for both Morgan and the network — and have asked him to take the post down. As of this writing, the photos remain on his social media grid, as the trade alleges that the anchor feels like people are overreacting.

ABC News has not publicly addressed DeMarco Morgan’s social media activity, and he is reportedly not facing any repercussions at his job so far. However, with his co-workers apparently causing quite a stink over the biking short pics, there are questions about whether or not the network’s morals clause could come into play, as it reportedly states that “an employee will act with due regard for public morals and conventions and won't do anything that makes ABC the subject of contempt, scandal and ridicule.”

Disney, which owns ABC News, has its own guidelines for employees, which include a requirement for employees to be “responsible” in their use of social media. Both of those clauses seem pretty open to interpretation, but since the pics have been up for nearly a month at this point, it doesn’t appear the network is in a big hurry to get them taken down.

DeMarco Morgan’s battle of the bulge is only the latest drama to befall Good Morning America and ABC News as a whole. On April 30 it was reported that ABC weatherman and Good Morning America regular Rob Marciano had been fired after years of complaints about his behavior that had, at least temporarily, led to him being banned from the GMA set.

Just days after Rob Marciano’s exit, ABC News President Kim Godwin announced she was leaving, allegedly amid increasing concerns over her job performance. In her tenure, Godwin — the first Black woman to run a broadcast news network — was instrumental in the investigation into Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ relationship and ultimate parting of ways.

Now, with DeMarco Morgan’s social media activity continuing to get attention, we’ll have to see what happens next, if anything, with the anchor and Good Morning America as a whole.

It's been confirmed that ABC meteorologist and Good Morning America regular, Rob Marciano, is out. Following reports that staffers were complaining about his behavior on set for years, the weatherman no longer works at the network. This marks another major change in the lineup of ABC's news team, specifically regarding GMA, as this news comes a little over a year after T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach left. 

Dylan Byers was the first to report for Puck about Marciano leaving ABC. His tweet breaking the news about the on-air personality who appeared frequently on GMA on the weekends as well as World News Tonight explained:

Along with that, THR confirmed through sources that the meteorologist is "no longer employed by the news division." 

This news comes a year after it was reported that Marciano had been “banned” from the Times Square Studios in New York City, according to Page Six. In March of 2023, news broke that the meteorologist hadn’t been in the studio for nearly a year because he wasn’t allowed there. This was because he reportedly made “a colleague feel uncomfortable” the year before. At the time, an insider told the publication that what he did was “improper, but he was punished for it.” 

We don’t know what those “improper” actions were, but the article explained that it could have been connected to allegations that he was dealing with anger management issues. 

While Robach and Holmes signed exit agreements months after news about the GMA3 hosts’ alleged affair broke and they were pulled off the air – they were taken off air in December 2022, and they signed exit agreements in January 2023 after ABC conducted an internal investigation – it seems that what is happening with Marciano is more immediate. Reports claim that there have been problems regarding his actions for years, however, it would seem he is quickly leaving ABC. 

While obviously, these are two very different circumstances, it is worth noting that these three big exits have all happened over the course of about a year. Meaning, there has been a fair amount of change in Good Morning America’s line-up of on-air personalities. 

Rob Marciano had been at GMA and ABC News since 2014, per THR, meaning he had been with the network for almost a decade. Before that, he worked as a co-anchor on Entertainment Tonight, and he was a meteorologist at CNN. 

As we learn more about this situation, and more details arise about Marciano’s exit, we’ll keep you posted.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made waves when they decided to step away from the British royal family and live their lives separately in America. The move resulted in a separation of Prince Harry from his family, physically and metaphorically. The tension has been palpable and has played out in the media. The situation was strained further when Harry published his bombshell memoir, Spare, which chronicled his experience within the family and the circumstances that led to him stepping away. Now after his father King Charles’ cancer diagnosis, many are wondering where Harry’s relationship with his family stands following his recent visit to Britain to see his father. 

GMA caught up with Prince Harry while he was in Whistler, British Columbia for the Invictus Games, the Paralympic-esque athletic tournament for wounded service members. The Duke of Sussex shared rare comments with the morning show about being a dad, his participation in the Invictus Games, and his recent trip to the UK to see his father amidst the cancer diagnosis. 

Prince Harry revealed he found out about his father’s health by speaking to him personally, and he jumped on a plane immediately following the news. He said of his trip:

While his comments seemed candid, he remained mum about what he said to his father during his most recent visit to England, telling the morning show that any details about his father's diagnosis and their reunion were not for the public.

The Spare author also said during the interview that he believed the circumstances around King Charles' diagnosis might be unifying for the Royal Family. However, the prince seemed content with his decision to remain in California with his children and wife. He still did seem keen on returning to Britain in the near future, explaining:

The news of the king’s diagnosis came soon after it was reported that Kate Middleton was also recently hospitalized for an undisclosed medical emergency. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly reached out following the news as well, however Harry made the trip to the UK independently. He also visited his home country recently for his father’s coronation, but the trip was allegedly brief and the Duke returned back to America very soon after. 

Some have wondered: What this could mean for a family reconciliation? Prince Harry seems firm on living his life separately, and uninterested in resuming Royal duties in England. The negative experience within the UK was well documented in the Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan, so even the diagnosis is unlikely to reverse the decision. However the circumstances could be a turning point for the Royal Family in terms of emotional togetherness.

Still, Prince Harry spoke of the experience being potentially unifying, so possibly this could be a start to some reconciliation with the Duke’s father, or at least some common ground to be found.

Broadcast journalism is a fine profession – one that can include many occupational pitfalls. That could be incorrectly announcing someone’s death, or getting knocked over by a tree branch. The skilled men and women who headline newscasts manage to fight through any occupational hazards, though, to effectively (and accurately) report the news. There have been so many talented new anchors who’ve had long careers within the history of the field and delivered small-screen excellence. With that, we’re going to talk about just a fraction of the anchors who’ve had long runs on TV in the U.S.

Bernard Shaw

A former U.S. Marine, the late Bernard Shaw had correspondent stints at CBS News and ABC News throughout the ‘70s. Shaw is arguably best known, however, for his tenure at CNN, which started in 1980. While there, he covered the assassination attempt on President Reagan’s life (with his coverage helping to legitimize the network) as well as the Tiananmen Square protests and the death of Princess Diana. The late anchor retired from the company in 2001 but occasionally made other on-air appearances.

Peter Jennings

Canada native Peter Jennings’ career began in earnest in the early 1960s when he was hired by CTV. He’d soon make it over to the States when ABC tapped him to co-anchor the nightly newscast Peter Jennings With the News. With his hiring at 26, he became the youngest U.S. news anchor ever. After serving as a foreign correspondent and covering the Munich Olympics, the Middle East, and more, he became the sole anchor of World News Tonight in 1983, holding that position until his death in 2005.

Larry King

A veteran of radio, the iconic Larry King’s first massive TV opportunity arguably came in 1978 when he began hosting The Larry King Show. The media pundit’s most notable program, CNN’s Larry King Live debuted in 1985 and was lauded for its wide-ranging interviews, like those with Louis Farrakhan and Vladimir Putin. King stepped down from the show after 25 years in 2010 but continued to host specials before landing a new show with Ora TV. Weeks after being hospitalized with COVID in early 2021, King died at the age of 87.

Jim Vance

Washington D.C. natives are likely very familiar with Jim Vance, who was hired by NBC in 1969 to work at its D.C. affiliate, WRC-TV. There, he was an anchor and became one of the first African American journalists to hold down such a job. A winner of more than 17 Emmy Awards, Vance covered major events like the 1977 Hanafi Siege and the Washington Metro train derailment of 1982. By the time Vance died of cancer at 75 in 2017, his 45 years at NBC4 had made him the region’s longest-serving anchor.

Walter Cronkite

When you think of news, you think of Walter Cronkite. The newsman who’d become known as "the most trusted man in America" is most famous for his stint at CBS News, which hired him in 1950. He anchored various programs for the network and, by 1962, he succeeded Douglas Edwards as the anchor of the CBS Evening News. While serving in that post, he notably reported on major events, including the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963 and the Watergate scandal in the ‘70s. Cronkite formally retired from CBS in 1980 but continued to anchor occasionally until his death at 92 in 2009.

Howard Cosell

One of the most recognizable names in sports journalism, Howard Cosell spent the vast majority of his career with ABC News, where he covered a wide variety of sports news. Aside from his boisterous demeanor and distinct delivery (which made Monday Night Football and other programs exciting), he was known for his relationship with famed boxer Muhammed Ali. He also deftly covered the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich and famously reported on John Lennon’s death during a MNF telecast in 1980. Cosell died at 77 in 1996.

Judy Woodruff

Having gotten her start in local news, Judy Woodruff started working for NBC in 1975. She eventually made her way to PBS, where she soon became the host of Frontline with Judy Woodruff. She joined CNN in 1993 and, as an anchor there, she covered 9/11, the war in Afghanistan, and more. Woodruff eventually returned to PBS in 2007 and hosted NewsHour through 2022. Following her storied tenure covering politics on the show, she continued to work with the network as a correspondent.

Barbara Walters

A trailblazer for female journalists that everyone should know about is Barbara Walters. One of her first big professional stops was at The Today Show, which tapped her in 1961. When she was named its co-host in 1974, she became the first female co-host on a U.S. news program. Walters would really make her name at ABC, where she hosted Evening News and 20/20. She conducted interviews with various politicians (both domestic and international) over the years and in 1997, created popular talk show The View. Many paid tribute to Walters when she died in 2022 at 93.

Gwen Ifill

Gwen Ifill, who passed away at 61 in 2016, was arguably one of the most respected broadcasters on TV. After working for The Baltimore Sun and The Washington Post in the ‘80s and early ‘90s, she joined PBS’ Washington Week in Review. Her hiring made her the first Black woman to headline a national political talk show. Aside from working with PBS’ NewsHour and making appearances on other notable programs, Ifill moderated presidential debates between 2004 and 2016.

Tom Brokaw

Decorated TV anchor Tom Brokaw’s body of work is one that many can only dream of. He joined NBC News in 1966, eventually becoming an anchor of Nightly News in 1973. By 1976, he became a co-host of The Today Show. 1982 saw Brokaw, who’s won numerous Emmys, become the lead anchor and managing editor of Nightly News, and he held that position through 2004. He covered the Challenger explosion, the fall of the Berlin Wall, 9/11 and more, before retiring from NBC after 51 years in 2021.

Max Robinson

Max Robinson got his start as a reporter in 1959 and covered major events, including the riots that followed the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King. Robinson reached wider recognition when he joined ABC News in 1978 and co-anchored World News Tonight. He then became the first African American to co-anchor a nightly network newscast. Following his retirement from journalism in 1985, Robinson died at 49 in 1988.

Carole Simpson

Carole Simpson broke down racial barriers in broadcast news. When she joined NBC News in 1975, she became the first Black woman to serve as an anchor for a major newscast. By 1982, Simpson was hired by ABC News and anchored the weekend edition of World News Tonight from 1988 to 2003. She covered numerous topics – and became the first woman of color to moderate a presidential debate – before she retired from ABC in 2005.

Pete Williams

Pete Williams served as press secretary and legislative assistant to Dick Cheney and worked for the Defense Department before becoming a justice correspondent for NBC News in 1993. He most notably covered the Bosnian War, the Boston Marathon Bombing and the 2021 Capitol car attack. A three-time Emmy winner, Williams retired from journalism in 2022.

Connie Chung

In the early ‘70s, Connie Chung worked with Walter Cronkite at CBS Evening News. By the early ‘80s, she became an anchor for NBC News at Sunrise and later the weekend edition of Nightly News (during which she felt “invisible”) . At CBS, she anchored Face to Face with Connie Chung and Sunday Evening News. Her other professional stops include ABC, CNN and MSNBC. It’s been noted that as a young professional, she was the second woman and first Asian American to anchor a major U.S. newscast.

Hugh Downs

The late Hugh Downs became a broadcast news institution by hosting The Today Show from 1962 to 1971. He also served as the host of ABC’s 20/20, starting in 1978 and ending in 1999. In addition to journalism, Downs served as the announcer for The Tonight Show from the mid-’50s to the early ‘60s and hosted the game show Concentration from 1958 to 1969.

Ted Koppel

England-born Ted Koppel originally worked in radio and soon moved to ABC. There, he covered both domestic and international affairs, including Richard Nixon’s visit to China. Koppel is best known for anchoring Nightline from 1980 to 2005. The 25-time Emmy winner eventually left the alphabet network in 2005 and moved to the Discovery Channel, where he developed documentaries.

Mike Wallace

Mike Wallace made his way to TV in the ‘50s as a game-show host and then did interview shows (one with ABC) later in the decade. His sit-downs are legendary, including his talk with Malcolm X (which was his first TV interview). Wallace also became one of the first Western journalists to meet with the Ayatollah. He truly solidified his legacy as an anchor through his work on 60 Minutes, which he hosted from 1971 to 2008. Wallace died at 93 in 2012.

David Brinkley

One of the most enduring careers in TV news belongs to David Brinkley, who made his name at NBC. He co-anchored The Huntley–Brinkley Report, from 1956 to 1970 and later headed up NBC Nightly News. Brinkley later joined ABC News and hosted This Week, starting in 1983 and ending in 1996. He retired in 1997, with 10 Emmys under his belt.

Harry Reasoner

Harry Reasoner is remembered, in part, for his work with CBS, for which he covered an array of topics, including JFK’s death. He’s arguably best known for being one of the original anchors of 60 Minutes, first hosting between 1968 and 1970 and then from 1978 to 1991. Amidst those stretches, he also worked at ABC, even co-anchoring Evening News with Barbara Walters.

Dan Rather

Dan Rather rose to prominence while covering JFK’s assassination, the Vietnam War and more for CBS News, which hired him in 1962. Rather eventually took over as anchor of CBS Evening News in 1981, making him the successor to Walter Cronkite following Cronkite's retirement. Before leaving the network due to the Killian documents debacle in 2005, Rather covered Richard Nixon’s presidency, the Challenger Disaster and more for the network.

Ed Bradley

It was in 1971 that Ed Bradley was hired by CBS, and became the first Black White House correspondent for the network. He was later tapped to anchor the Sunday night edition of CBS Evening News. Bradley really made his mark as a co-host on 60 Minutes, headlining the show for 25 years. He died at 65 in 2006.

Howard K. Smith

Anchorman Howard K. Smith was a member of the “Murrow Boys,” who helped make CBS a powerhouse in the ‘40s. While with ABC, he became the co-anchor of Evening News in 1969, and he remained in that post through 1975. Smith formally retired from the network in 1979 and passed away in 2002 at 87.

Roger Mudd

There are more than a few major credits on Roger Mudd’s resume, including a stint at CBS News that started in 1961. He left in 1981 and moved to NBC to co-anchor Nightly News and later Meet the Press. Later in his career, he worked with PBS’ MacNeil–Lehrer Newshour and hosted for the History Channel. He retired from broadcasting in 2004 and died in 2021 at 93.

Stuart Scott

Stuart Scott helped revitalize sports journalism when he joined ESPN in 1993 and began co-anchoring SportsSmash and later SportsCenter. When covering basketball, baseball and other athletics, he managed to meld sports with pop culture. Scott interviewed a wide range of public figures from Tiger Woods to Barack Obama. Following Scott’s death in 2015 at 49, he remains known for his unique style and sayings, making him cooler than the other side of the pillow.

Linda Ellerbee

The one and only Linda Ellerbee was a mainstay at NBC, anchoring various programs from 1976 to 1984. She also had stints at ABC’s Good Morning America and CNN. Ellerbee also shed light on young people’s stories through her long-running program Nick News, which won nine Emmys.

Neil Everett

Neil Everett is one of the many hosts who has co-anchored SportsCenter at ESPN. He was hired to head up the West Coast edition of the newscast in 1999 and became a fan-favorite personality. Everett confirmed in 2023 that he was leaving the show, as well as the network.

Chet Huntley

In 1956, NBC hired Chet Huntley to improve his ratings and he helped do so once he began co-hosting The Huntley-Brinkley Report alongside David Brinkley. The show ran for 14 years, with the widely lauded Huntley ultimately signing off for the final time in 1970. He died at the age of 62 in 1974.

John Chancellor

NBC News had a real master of the craft on its hands when John Chancellor was working there. Originally a correspondent for The Huntley-Brinkley Report during his first stint with the network, he returned in 1968 and became the show’s co-anchor in 1970. By that point, the show was renamed NBC Nightly News, and Chancellor remained on the program until 1982.

Sam Donaldson

All in all, what Sam Donaldson is best known for is his work at ABC News, which began in 1967. It was during his time there that he served as the network’s White House Correspondent. He also co-anchored This Week, 20/20 Wednesday and Sunday Evening News. In 2009, the celebrated journalist retired.

Douglas Edwards

CBS welcomed Douglas Edwards to its ranks in 1947, and he began co-anchoring a number of newscasts. He also headlined CBS Television News, which eventually evolved into what viewers would come to know as CBS Evening News. He stopped working the evening news shift in 1962 but still worked for the network until 1988.

Brit Hume

Not many people can say they have more than two decades of work at ABC under their belt, but Brit Hume can. He worked there from 1973 to 1996 and eventually moved to Fox News, anchoring Special Report and more there.

Ann Curry

A seasoned journalist by the ‘90s, Ann Curry was hired by NBC News in 1990 and ultimately hosted NBC News at Sunrise for five years. Curry also had a stint as the primary anchor on NBC Dateline and was a substitute for Nightly News. After serving as an anchor at The Today Show from 1997 to 2011, she left the network in 2015.

The professionals listed here managed to build incredible bodies of work, and many of their methods are still practiced by many anchors. Surely their contributions to broadcast news will not only be celebrated but also viewed as the gold standard of journalism.

Amy Robach has been in the news a lot over the past year, ever since her relationship with her fellow former GMA3 co-host T.J. Holmes went public and eventually led to their removal from ABC News. However, that wasn’t the first time Robach had been a part of life-changing news on the morning talk show. Ten years ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer after undergoing an on-air mammogram, and she recently acknowledged the milestone with a sweet post.

It was apparently Robin Roberts — another breast cancer survivor — who convinced an apprehensive Amy Robach to undergo the mammogram as part of Good Morning America’s breast cancer awareness initiative in October 2013. Weeks later she announced the test had come back positive, and she was beginning aggressive treatment. Now, 10 years later she had a message to all of those out there in a similar situation: 

The throwback photo shows Amy Robach going through treatment, as she pumps her fist to show she’s ready to fight. She did beat the cancer, and now she’s sending strength to those who may be in the midst of their own battle.

Back in 2013, Amy Robach admitted on GMA that she’d been putting off getting a mammogram since turning 40. Following the on-air segment she was asked to return to the doctor’s office for more scans and tests, and then came the diagnosis. They say early detection is key, though, and it seems fortunate that Robach agreed to go through with the test, as uncomfortable as she might have been doing it. When she announced her diagnosis on Good Morning America, she closed the segment by saying: 

Amy Robach had also made mention of her breast cancer battle earlier this year, when back in October, she posted a photo to Instagram that showed her in front of the New York skyline. She had a big smile on her face as she pointed to the Empire State Building that was lit up pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month: 

This 10th anniversary of her diagnosis and start of treatment comes after a huge year filled with change for Amy Robach. She and T.J. Holmes were put on leave from GMA3: What You Need to Know after it was discovered they each had separated from their spouses and were in a romantic relationship. The “distraction,” as ABC News called it when Robach and Holmes were pulled from the broadcast, reportedly caused friction between the couple and many of their colleagues, including Robin Roberts who was allegedly “infuriated.”

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes ultimately parted ways with the network, and they appear to still be going strong nearly a year later. They each have now divorced their former spouses and even looked this summer like they were taking steps to move in together. 

The former GMA3 anchor may not be on TV anymore (at least currently), but it’s great to see that she’s still using her platform to support others fighting cancer, as she celebrates her own milestone. 

Congratulations are in order for Robin Roberts, who said “I do” Friday, September 8, to Amber Laign, her partner of 18 years. While the ceremony between the longtime loves was hopefully the “ethereal” and “romantic” event the Good Morning America host wanted, is it possible there was some drama where the guest list was concerned? While some of Roberts’ co-workers reportedly were present to witness the nuptials, a source alleges that the bride banned former GMA3 co-hosts Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, after their relationship scandal rocked the ABC morning show less than a year ago.

According to The Sun, Robin Roberts was pretty particular about who snagged an invitation to her and Amber Laign’s wedding, with a source saying she included people who she actually wanted there, rather than those she might have felt obligated to include. It seems Amy Robach and her paramour did not make the cut — much to the alleged displeasure of her former colleague. The insider reports: 

The bond between the longtime ABC co-workers apparently became especially strong in 2013, when Robin Roberts convinced Amy Robach to get a mammogram on live TV. That decision turned out to save Robach’s life, as she was diagnosed with breast cancer following the on-air exam. 

However, when Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ alleged affair was exposed in November 2022 — with each separating from their spouses of 12 years and causing an unwanted “distraction” for their ABC News co-workers — it reportedly caused tension between Robach and GMA mainstay Robin Roberts. The source continued: 

Not only did Robin Roberts allegedly not use her pull within ABC to save Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ jobs, the affair was reported to have “infuriated” the longtime GMA host. According to DailyMail.com, Roberts had told the clandestine couple to “knock it off” when she’d learned of the romance, and an insider claimed she complained to ABC’s parent company Disney about the network’s lackluster response, allegedly saying the scandal was “tainting the brand.” (ABC News denied that Roberts was involved in the situation.)

Despite any alleged drama leading up to the big day, it seems everything went off Friday without a hitch. Robin Roberts announced that she and Amber Laign had been pronounced wife and wife with an adorable Instagram photo of their pooch Lukas, who the couple adopted in 2015: 

It’s sad to think the GMA3 scandal might have driven a wedge between Robin Roberts and Amy Robach that would have prompted action as strong as banning Robach and T.J. Holmes from her big day. However, if true, I’m glad Roberts did what she needed to do to ensure that she and her new wife had the perfect day. 

It’s been several months since the drama surrounding Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ workplace romance engulfed Good Morning America and ABC News as a whole. Fortunately, for the media giant, things seem to have mostly subsided at this point, as GMA3 found new hosts in Eva Pilgrim and DeMarco Morgan. All the while, Holmes and Robach remain unemployed but have spent some of their time vacationing. Well, with summer almost upon us, some of their old colleagues took a cue from them. Robin Roberts and other  staffers went on a sweet trip, and one gets the impression that they had a good time. 

Robin Roberts has posted about her co-stars on multiple occasions over the years, and they’ve, in turn, shown her love. That closeness was more than evident in one of Roberts’ latest Instagram updates, in which she revealed that she, a number of her co-workers and some other friends traveled to Key West, Florida for a little downtime. Among those from the show who made the journey were Gio Benitez and Sam Champion. Joining them were fellow journalist Tommy DiDario (who apparently arranged the vacay), travel and health personalities Emily Kaufman and Amber Laign and visual artist Rubem Robierb. The veteran news personality also mentioned that they were also able to attend a Taylor Swift concert. Swift is currently in the midst of her Eras Tour, and many celebs have since flocked to the shows to jam out to her beloved tunes. The concert and the Key West trip sound like a sweet combo to me and, given the nature of their jobs, I’d think that the group was glad to have some time to relax and have fun.

They aren’t the only ABC alums to have visited Florida, as T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach were there several months ago. After they were taken off GMA in December, the couple journeyed to Miami, which is where they ultimately spent the Christmas holiday. And just a couple of months later, they soaked up the sun in Mexico amid their “funemployment.” It was there that photographers snapped photos of them walking around Puerto Vallarta and engaging in PDA. 

It hasn’t been all fun and games for the couple, though, as they’ve apparently been searching high and low for new gigs. Sources claim that they want to return to TV and are hoping to co-host another program. However, the job hunt allegedly hasn’t been easy, as CBS and CNN are allegedly among the major networks to have passed on them. It’s also been reported that their exit agreements prevent them from signing new contracts during a specified amount of time. 

While Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes may be busy at the moment, I wouldn’t be surprised if they carve out more time for another trip, especially since vacay season is upon us. Robin Roberts and her group of friends may do the same thing before summer’s end but, after their latest excursion, they may be ready to get back to the old grind. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to book a trip, because I’m feeling serious FOMO.

Less than a decade after being widely celebrated as a self-made billionaire, among several other accolades, Elizabeth Holmes arrived at the Bryan, Texas women’s prison camp for the first day of her sentence. The biotech entrepreneur was first convicted of fraud back in January 2022, two months before Hulu released its acclaimed scripted limited series The Dropout, which brought the story of Holmes’ rise and fall to the wider masses. That was helped along by the award-winning performance from lead actress Amanda Seyfried, who shared her thoughts on the Theranos founder entering into more than a decade behind bars.

Following The Dropout, Amanda Seyfried stuck with streaming for her next project, the puzzling psychological thriller The Crowded Room on Apple TV+, co-starring Tom Holland. She appeared on Good Morning America to promote the new series, though the conversation kicked off with Michael Strahan connecting the timing of her appearance to Holmes showing up for her prison stay. The Emmy-winning actress, clearly without a go-to statement on the matter, shared a brief but balanced take on it, saying:

Seyfried spoke of Elizabeth Holmes’ two children shared with partner Billy Evans. She gave birth to the first, son William Holmes Evans, in July 2021 ahead of her criminal trial’s start, and to the second, daughter Invicta, in February 2023, while in the midst of attempting to delay her prison start date. Her second pregnancy was announced just weeks before she was sentenced to 135 months (11 years, 3 months), with some questioning the timing. Her legal attempts to get her prison start date pushed back were successful, with a judge pushing the initial April 27 date to May 30 to allow for Holmes to spend more time with her children while sorting out means of childcare. (Her former business and romantic partner Ramesh Balwani, who was also convicted of fraud, began his own prison sentence in April.) 

Young children are indeed the most unfortunately affected in cases such as these, without the ability to build core memories of family life before a parent’s prison stint. For that to be Amanda Seyfried’s first thought speaks to the motherly instinct within her; she currently shares a daughter and a son with husband Thomas Sadoski, her former co-star in the 2015 dramedy The Last Word.

But despite having portrayed Elizabeth Holmes for The Dropout, which required digging into her mindset as much as perfecting her specific voice patterns, Amanda Seyfried pointed out that it was justly fair for the woman to be going to jail for her crimes, regardless of her parental status.

Though The Crowded Room is based on the 1981 nonfiction release The Minds of Billy Milligan, it isn’t a dramatization of real events like The Dropout (which made our list of the best true crime shows from 2022). And that change of pace was just was Seyfriend wanted, as she gave this as her lead-in for taking the new role:

While it’s not clear if Elizabeth Holmes will be able to utilize an Apple TV+ subscription behind bars, everyone else can stream The Crowded Room starting on June 9, when its first three episodes will premiere. Meanwhile, a Hulu subscription is the best and only way to stream The Dropout. 

The reported workplace affair between Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes really shook things up at ABC News, but the network now seems to have eased into a sense of normalcy again. Earlier this month, it was revealed that GMA3 had tapped Eva Pilgrim and DeMarco Morgan as its new anchors. All the while though, Holmes and Robach are reportedly still looking for work and sources indicate that they’re ready to return to the airwaves. But that may be easier said than done and, per a PR expert, their careers could suffer the longer they’re out of work. 

T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach officially signed their exit agreements this past January and, since then, there have been numerous reports regarding their next steps within the TV business. Despite the fact that they were embroiled in such a significant controversy, they arguably remain among the small-screen’s most recognizable TV personalities. Yet Eric Schiffer – one of the leads of the Reputation Management Consultants firm – argues that the couple will be hurt in one key way if they don’t land new jobs soon:

What the public relations veteran seems to be conveying to The U.S. Sun is that T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach will steadily leave the viewing public’s consciousness as they remain unemployed. And as a result, their bankability as stars could decrease and effectively make them less appealing to prospective employers. We can’t say for sure whether this will indeed be the case for the two lovers, but Eric Schiffer’s assumptions are certainly reasonable. 

Viewers (whether they realize it or not) tend to become attached to the hosts they watch on a daily basis. One can simply point to the massive popularity of stars like The Today Show’s Al Roker or Hoda Kotb. And if we’re talking about Good Morning America, the news program has plenty of beloved hosts, including Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan. With such a wide pool of talent, it would theoretically be easy for two people who haven’t hosted for a little while to slide through the cracks.

So what are the former GMA3 hosts planning to do moving forward? Well, according to insiders, they’re planning to stick to TV and allegedly, want to be co-hosts again. Unfortunately, for them, things apparently haven’t worked out in their favor thus far. CNN and CBS are among the major networks that have reportedly passed on hiring Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes. It’s even been said that they were even turned down by major TV show Dancing with the Stars. What makes matters even more challenging for their brand viability is that their exit agreements are reportedly impacting their job hunts. The deals apparently have provisions that prohibit them from starting new jobs right away. 

They aren’t struggling, mind you, as T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach have sizable net worths. However, all of that cash can’t necessarily enhance their statuses and make them highly sought-after journalists again. Their professional futures are indeed uncertain at the moment, and it’ll be very intriguing to see whether a company ultimately takes a leap of faith and scoops them up.

Based on Pilgrim’s description, her life in the U.S. was pretty normal and she seems to have fond memories from her younger years. She also explained that as a kid, she had a keen interest in school:

DeMarco Morgan Became A Widely Accomplished College Professor After Past Academic Struggles

It’s fair to say that newly named GMA3 co-anchor DeMarco Murray is known for his status as a journalist, but he’s also been deeply involved with the world of academia for years now. The 44-year-old news reporter has served as a lecturer at a number of noted institutions over the years. But you may be surprised to learn that Morgan had struggles with school early on. He got candid about this while chatting with fellow GMA personality Robin Roberts:

Jackson State, which is a historically Black college, proved that it could spot potential, as the Oklahoma native would graduate in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science. He credits the HBCU with setting him on the right professional path. And in 2002, he earned a Master’s Degree in journalism from Columbia University. All of this is impressive on its own, but it’s his resume as an instructor that’s truly remarkable: 

Education is incredibly important, but educators are just as vital, and I can’t help but love that the Good Morning America star has paid it forward in such a way.

Eva Pilgrim Found Her Path To Journalism While In College And Jokes That ‘Beer Money’ Helped Initiate It

There are plenty of ways that one can find their way into the journalism field. Chances are that if you asked two or three reporters how they got their starts, they could give you totally different answers. If you asked Eva Pilgrim, she’d probably recall how she used to work on websites in college, doing so for “beer money,” as explained to George Stephanopoulos. And as fate would have it, one of those sites was for a news station, and the rest is history. 

Once she got her start, the young reporter worked her way through the local news circuit. When reflecting on her work for a 2019 GMA feature, she recalled not seeing many women of Asian descent on TV until she was a bit older. That representation meant a great deal to her: 

She’s certainly gone the distance since then as, after she wrapped her local news run, she joined ABC News in 2015 and eventually served as a weekend correspondent for GMA. That’s the post she held before being named the co-anchor of GMA3. With so many accomplishments under her belt, in hindsight, it’s funny to think that it was partially set in motion by a desire for beer money.

DeMarco Morgan Had Already Put In Work For GMA3 Before Officially Landing The Gig

DeMarco Morgan worked at quite a few places before joining the alphabet network. Over the years, he’s worked for stations in Miami, New York, Atlanta and more. The accomplished journalist is still relatively new to ABC News, believe it or not, as he joined in December 2022 as a correspondent based in Los Angeles. It’s fair to say that he entered the fold at a very interesting time, as it was at that point that the company began dealing with the blowback from the previously mentioned romance coming to light. 

After T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach were taken off the air in December, the correspondent began serving as a fill-in anchor for GMA’s third hour on the weekdays. He ultimately did so for a few months, and one would think that his work impressed execs enough to keep him on permanently. 

Eva Pilgrim And DeMarco Morgan Both Do Quite A Bit With Their Spare Time

You can’t have work without a little bit of leisure time, and it would seem that GMA3’s new anchors understand the value of off days. Eva Pilgrim is married to Ed Hartigan, a digital marketing manager and director. The two also share a daughter named Ella, who was born in 2021. With her busy schedule, Pilgrim seems to relish the time that she gets to spend with her family. Take a look at the Instagram post below: 

Meanwhile, DeMarco Morgan has a few interests of his own, with a number of them involving public activism. He’s a proud and active member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. Morgan also volunteers with organizations like the NAACP, Big Brothers Big Sisters and the American Cancer Society. On top of that, he’s also a baseball fan as evidenced by his occasional LA Dodgers-related Instagram posts. And when he’s not doing any of the above, you can probably find him running or cycling: 

All in all, it looks like Good Morning America has landed on two strong news personalities to succeed T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach. A new day is certainly donning at GMA and, if their past work is any indication, Eva Pilgrim and DeMarco Morgan should be more than successful with their new duties.

Following the very public alleged affair between former Good Morning America hosts T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach, there is still the question of who will replace them. According to Hello! Magazine, the morning talk show has tapped Peloton instructor Jess Sims as the newest ongoing contributor. There isn’t any news on how long it will last, but it sounds like it could be for quite some time. Since she isn’t technically replacing Holmes and Robach, this could be a good way to see how she performas as a regular contributor, and if this could turn into something more. 

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Sims reflected on her new job and how grateful she is for the opportunity:

Aside from being a Peloton instructor, Peloton's site revealed Sims was also a teacher, opening schools in Boston and New York until she turned to her true passion: fitness. She has definitely come a long way since being 22 and being a teacher, and it’s clear that she is as grateful as ever. It’s going to be an exciting change for GMA, one that fans will be looking forward to.

Between being an instructor and now being part of the GMA family, Sims is going to have a lot on her plate. Though fans should expect some intersecting between the two since it’s very likely Sims will continue instructing viewers on a morning workout to get their day started. That is a huge plus. It’s hard to tell what to expect from Sims since this is a bit different than what she’s done, but if she can go from being a teacher to being a fitness instructor, she can surely go from fitness instructor to GMA personality.

Rumors started swirling about the former hosts' workplace affair late last year, and they were soon pulled from GMA3 and investigated. Not long after, it was reported that GMA might have found a replacement for Holmes, but there hasn't been anything permanent as of yet. As for Robach and Holmes, major networks have reportedly passed on hiring them.

There’s no telling when the show will finally find permanent replacements for them, as the morning talk show has reportedly been eyeing some new anchors, but at least they’re welcoming a new contributor to the show, and someone who has experience, even if it is through soul cycle. Jess Sims seems like a great fit, and it’s going to be great to start the morning with her.

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ alleged workplace affair occurred months ago, but those impacted by it are still feeling the effects. As far as we know, Good Morning America is  working to select their permanent successors. Meanwhile, the two media personalities themselves are still looking for work. The past few weeks have seen insiders suggest that they’re having a tough time landing new positions. Now, if a new report is to be believed, the exit agreements they signed with GMA have also had an impact on their search. 

It was in January that the former GMA3 co-hosts came to terms with ABC News on severance agreements. At the time, specifics of the deals were not fully disclosed, including the sums of money that they ultimately received. However, a source shared alleged details with The U.S. Sun regarding a supposed clause found in the paperwork. As the individual explained, the contracts don’t prevent them from talking with potential employers. They apparently just can’t formally accept an offer within a specified period of time:

This insider went on to explain that as part of their settlements, the stars were allegedly paid out the money that would’ve made up the remainder of their contracts. The news outlet also made contact with a purported network source, who would neither confirm nor deny whether the settlements prevent the pair from seeking news-related jobs at the moment. However, said person did shoot down speculation about a non-disclosure agreement being part of the deals. So all in all, it would seem that the GMA alums find themselves in a position in which they can only look at offers.

According to recent reports, T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach have been searching high and low for their next jobs. They allegedly want to stick to TV and allegedly want to find a news outlet that will allow them to be co-hosts again. However, they’re reportedly prepared should they not land a joint gig. Instead, they’ll seek to “vouch” for each other as they look for separate opportunities. 

There’s still the matter of whether or not there’s actually interest in the couple. A few weeks ago, a source claimed that major networks had already passed on hiring them. The corporations in question were said to be CNN and CBS. And just within the past week, it was alleged that they were also turned down by hit TV show Dancing with the Stars. 

It’s honestly hard to say just what might lie ahead for T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach in the professional arena at this point. The notion of them still landing jobs following the GMA drama isn’t far-fetched. But if this supposed contract stipulation does actually exist, it could be a while before they could actually accept any offer.

The individual didn’t provide any specifics regarding the capacity in which Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes were allegedly trying to join the show (which is streamable with a Disney+ subscription). One might think that with their specific backgrounds, they may have been looking at some kind of hosting gig. However, the upcoming Season 32 has its two co-hosts in series alums Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough. The notion of the two media personalities seeking jobs with the reality competition series does seem somewhat odd, though. That’s mostly because the program falls under the purview of the House of Mouse, which had to contend with the drama surrounding their exits from GMA.

All of this, of course, should be taken with a grain of salt at this point, and the same is true for the other reports. Sources previously said that both stars were passed on by both CNN and CBS. While it’s all conjecture at this point, those do sound like more realistic landing spots for them as opposed to the ballroom dancing show. Then again, sources say that they’ve been trying to be flexible when it comes to job opportunities.

T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach, who made their first public appearance as a couple in March, are reportedly planning to stick to TV. It’s also said that they ideally want to find a new entertainment entity that would allow them to remain co-hosts. Apparently, if Robach and Holmes can’t land a joint gig, “they will vouch for each other and help each other.” As the insider put it, “they won’t let each other fall.”

As you would expect, news and entertainment entities have not revealed any interest in signing them to a deal. So it remains to be seen whether Amy Robach or TJ. Holmes will ultimately be put in a position in which one has to vouch for the other. We’ll have to wait and see how things pan out for the couple but, at the very least, it sounds like we probably shouldn’t expect to see them pop up on DWTS anytime soon.

It would appear that at the end of the day, the couple only have each other’s best interests in mind. You can imagine that like any person, they want a work situation that best suits their needs and qualifications. However, as many people will tell you – sometimes you “gotta do what you gotta do." 

Of course, there’s still a question regarding if (or when) the stars might actually land somewhere. While reports point to them having had general meetings, nothing seems close to being finalized, at this point. Insiders also claim that CNN and CBS are among the networks that have passed on Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes already. One can probably assume that entertainment entities are hesitant to join up with them after the drama at Good Morning America, which has since washed its hands of the two.

T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach are sitting comfortably at the moment, though (especially considering that both have sizable net worths). Still, recent updates give the impression that they’re incredibly eager to be back on the job, and we'll just have to wait and see if things pan out the way that the media pundits apparently hope they will.

One big question that remains since T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach were pulled from the broadcast back in December is who will replace them permanently on the show. Several different anchors have appeared over the past few months, but insiders have suggested that Gio Benitez and DeMarco Morgan may be the leading candidates. George Stephanopoulos could neither confirm nor deny the rumors when questioned by ET, but was sure to give his assessment on how the temporary hosts have handed the situation, saying: 

The Good Morning America anchor praised the GMA3 fill-ins after ET specifically mentioned Gio Benitez and DeMarco Morgan, the latter of whom has been a rumored front-runner for a permanent position since before Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes even parted ways with the network. Sources have said that Morgan is thought to be “universally well-liked,” and ABC appreciated the way he dropped everything in the midst of the former hosts’ relationship scandal to fly to New York and fill in.

Equally as likable seems to be Gio Benitez, who sources say is being considered because he’s a familiar face to GMA fans and has been with ABC for nearly a decade. However, there’s also been positive feedback to other guest hosts, including Rhiannon Ally and Stephanie Ramos, so fans will have to wait on the official decision to come down from the ABC execs. 

Hopefully George Stephanopoulos’ attitude indicates that morale has picked up, and the staff is able to resume their jobs without all the distraction — which, apart from Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, includes weather anchor Rob Marciano being banned from the studio after alleged inappropriate conduct.

ABC News employees were reportedly not happy with the attention brought to the network by the former GMA3 co-anchors, with those who had known about the affair apparently feeling like they shouldn’t have been made to keep Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ secret. Robach’s 20/20 co-anchor David Muir was allegedly one of many employees who disagreed with the way the couple handled the situation, and sources reported that Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos had had zero contact with them as the network removed all remaining traces of the ex-employees.

The former White House communications director certainly seemed to be looking forward with optimism for GMA3, and hopefully we’ll hear something soon regarding those hosting rumors. These past few months have seen Good Morning America – and ABC News as a whole – dealing with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ alleged workplace affair and the aftermath. Following a months-long investigation, the embattled anchors parted ways with the network and signed their exit agreements in January. The dust seems to be slowly settling on that matter but, at present, the iconic morning show is dealing with another situation. Famed weatherperson Rob Marciano was “banned” from the set for reported inappropriate conduct and has yet to be let back into the workplace. 

Rob Marciano hasn’t been allowed to be present at GMA’s Time Square Studios since 2022. Per Page Six, the TV personality made one of his co-workers feel uncomfortable. The news outlet reports that the company’s human resources department found fault with Marciano, as he apparently did something “improper.” A source also said: 

As of this writing, the network hasn’t shared any specific details regarding what allegedly happened between the 54-year-old newsperson and the other employee. Insiders claim, however, that during that time, the correspondent was dealing with some anger issues amid his divorce from wife Eryn. Another source alleges that he was “very cranky and angry” and also engaged in “unsavory behavior.” Good Morning America executive producer Simon Swink initially took him off the air for a month but, after that suspension, she’s still being “extra cautious” about inviting back to the studio. A person with knowledge on Swink added:

It’s said that Simone Swink ultimately wants the studio to be “free of distraction” and, while that’s arguably what any company wants, that’s sure to be especially true for GMA right now. Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ situation was allegedly viewed as a major “distraction” internally and brought a significant amount of attention to Good Morning America and parent company Disney. It eventually came to the point that employees were said to be blaming ABC News head Kim Godwin for the prolonged investigation. In terms of other ramifications, there was apparently resentment amongst staffers, who reportedly wanted to see Robach and Holmes fired. Since the two parted ways with the alphabet network, GMA has washed its hands of the stars, having done so by erasing any trace of them.

Rob Marciano’s situation, however, is different in a number of respects, and he’s still employed at the network as of right now. As of right now, he’ll continue to provide weather reports for digital platforms and World News Tonight, which is filmed at another location in New York. It still remains to be seen if (or when) the reporter will stop exclusively reporting from the field and return to Times Square.

The drama surrounding Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes' relationship and the entire situation with Good Morning America has been highly publicized and constantly talked about, but the details of their divorces have stayed relatively under wraps. However, we've learned a bit about how their respective splits are going. In terms of Robach and Andrew Shue's divorce, it’s been confirmed they quietly finalized it without a big legal battle. Meanwhile, T.J. Holmes is reportedly still working to make his divorce final. 

Amy Robach And Andrew Shue Finalized Their Divorce

Amy Robach and Andrew Shue’s 12-year marriage came to an end as the situation at GMA began to unfold. They have officially finalized their divorce, per The Daily Mail, six months after their break up. 

A source explained that the estranged couple will share custody of their dog, Brody, which makes sense considering the two have been seen meeting up to pick up/drop off the pooch. The source also explained that their split was amicable, they used mediation, and there was no big legal battle. Based on this report, the big point the former couple needed to work out was the custody of their dog, considering they don’t share kids. 

While the divorce seems to be amicable, the split has reportedly been very hard on Shue. However, he’s found support in his Melrose Place co-stars, and his kids. Meanwhile, Robach seems to be very happy with Holmes, as they’ve been seen together laying on the PDA and soaking up the sun on vacation and walking around together in New York City. It seems like things are going fine between Robach and Shue, all things considered, and her and Holmes are reportedly very much in love, however, her partner is still in the middle of his own divorce. 

T.J. Holmes Is Still Finalizing His Divorce 

Like Amy Robach, T.J. Holmes’ was also with his wife for a decade. However, unlike his girlfriend, he shares a 10-year-old daughter with his ex-wife Marilee Fiebig. While the couple broke up last summer, around the same time Shue and Robach split up, Holmes reportedly filed for divorce in December, and they’re still working to finalize it.

In January, Fiebig’s lawyer released a statement that called her ex-husband out for not respecting his family. It explained that the two are working through their divorce “privately, expeditiously and as amicably as possible.” However, it also mentioned that they’ve been “disappointed by T.J.’s lack of discretion, respect and sensitivity,” toward his ex-wife and daughter. Considering Holmes and Fiebig are likely working out a custody arrangement for their child, it does make sense that this divorce is taking longer to finalize.

While their divorce is still being worked out, Holmes and Robach seem to be happier than ever. They made their first public appearance a few weeks ago, and are reportedly working to get back on TV, and Ellen’s producers might be involved. Overall, It seems like as the former GMA anchors work out their respective divorces, they are also moving forward as a couple and trying to figure out a way to advance their careers and get back on the TV schedule. 

Now that Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are officially gone from Good Morning America, there has been a lot of talk about what they will do next. Following the anchors leaving the show, Billy Bush, who was fired by NBC after the infamous Access Hollywood Trump tape was released, defended the couple, and also got candid about cancel culture and how it’s impacted the former GMA employees as well as himself. 

As Bush was walking through the airport, TMZ stopped him to ask about his thoughts on Holmes and Robach. Much like Chris Harrison, who defended the couple, the Extra anchor explained his thoughts on the former GMA3 hosts, saying:

It’s been reported that Holmes and Robach are actually in love, and they aren’t too worried about finding another job. The source explained to People that they “know the dust needs to settle” before they start looking for new jobs. However, they allegedly plan to continue working in the television industry. Bush explained that he thinks everyone should be able to “find their way back,” and go back to work. 

Considering, Bush has also faced scrutiny from a network and the public -- however, in his case, it was over comments he made -- it makes sense that he'd defend the former GMA employees. The first time was the Access Hollywood Trump tape, mentioned earlier. Recently he's been caught in controversy over another hot mic moment involving Kendall Jenner. The television personality made a sexual joke about Jenner’s Halloween costume. When asked about hot mics, and what he’s learned, he said:

Unlike the last time Bush was caught on a hot mic, this time didn’t result in him losing his job, however many were very unhappy with what he said about the Kardashian sister, who hasn’t commented on the issue. Extra released a statement about Bush, noting that the show “allows the flexibility to try different jokes and banter,” and that some of it gets edited out, including comments that might be “too edgy” for air.

As a person who has dealt with cancel culture after making controversial comments, it makes sense that Bush would understand where Holmes and Robach are at, and defend them. He’s also made it clear where he stands with cancel culture, and that he thinks everyone deserves to “find their way back” to their respective careers.

There are still plenty of questions surrounding the futures of former GMA3 co-hosts Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, after the exposure of their romantic relationship led to the couple eventually parting ways with ABC News. While reports indicate the anchors may have to let the dust settle a bit before trying to get hired on somewhere else, that may be just fine for the lovebirds, who supposedly negotiated for “nice” severance packages during mediation with their former employer. That’s especially true for Robach, who reportedly received a bigger settlement than her paramour, and there’s apparently a reason for that.

Amy Robach had been a member of ABC News since 2012, contributing to Good Morning America before joining David Muir as co-anchor on 20/20 in 2018 and landing the co-hosting spot on GMA3 during the pandemic in 2020. Her tenure with the network, in addition to her high-profile positions, contributed to her receiving more severance money, an insider told PageSix: 

T.J. Holmes joined the network just two years after Amy Robach — in 2014 — but held lower-profile positions ahead of snagging the GMA3 co-anchor spot aside his would-be partner.

PageSix also previously reported that during ABC’s lengthy investigation into the couple’s potential contract violations, they apparently tried to dig into Amy Robach’s past to find any negative details, which may have allowed them to offer her a lower payout. However, only “minor” transgressions could be found, according to the source.

The same might not have been true for T.J. Holmes, as rumors of at least two other workplace affairs surfaced after his romance with Amy Robach went public. It’s unknown how his past behavior affected his exit agreement with ABC — if it did at all — and another PageSix source said it was likely the duo simply received what they would have made over the rest of the time in their contracts. They also reportedly may have received more money if they agreed to sign nondisclosure agreements.

Whatever the terms of the agreements were, T.J. Holmes didn’t seem too concerned about his finances when he was seen purchasing a $650 gold ring ahead of Amy Robach’s 50th birthday on February 6 — seemingly putting to rest speculation that the couple’s relationship might be “suffocating” from all the drama. Holmes also bought a gold chain from Tiffany & Co., looping the ring onto it, presumably as a promise ring for when their respective divorces are finalized.

The colleagues drew the ire of many when their relationship was outed in late November 2022, since Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes were both still married to their spouses of 12 years. However, both couples reportedly had been separated since August, and Holmes has since filed for divorce from Marilee Fiebig.

It’s been a whole decade since Robin Roberts received a bone marrow transplant from her sister that saved her life, and Good Morning America is helping her mark the occasion in a meaningful way that’s worthy of such a milestone. The weeklong “One Match, Second Chance” event is set to start Monday, February 13, and in anticipation of the 10-year anniversary of the longtime ABC anchor’s return to work, Roberts shared an emotional look back at the journey she’s been on and the lives that have been saved.

The Good Morning America host was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007. She beat it, but the treatment apparently led to her being diagnosed with MDS — myelodysplastic syndrome, a rare blood disorder that affects the bone marrow — five years later. At the end of August 2012, Robin Roberts took medical leave to receive the transplant, and a video shared by the ABC morning show recalled her triumphant return in February 2013, when — surrounded by her colleagues — she announced:

While GMA3 hadn’t boasted the likes of T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach for the nearly two-month stretch that followed their romantic relationship being publicized, the two journalists officially left the network at the end of January. It’s not known yet what’ll be next for their professional careers, and the pair seemingly haven’t had many big problems with their extended hiatus from ABC News. One reputation expert used to dealing with Hollywood PR incidents spoke out about the couple likely experiencing some personal turmoil behind the scenes, given all of the attention they’ve garnered, but is that actually the case for Holmes and Robach? 

What A Reputation Expert Thinks About T.J. Holmes And Amy Robach

ABC officially cut ties with T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach following an internal investigation that looked into various rumors about their on-set behavior, as well as digging into Holmes’ past alleged workplace relationships. By and large, it seems like this was the best move to make for all involved, but such a high-attention situation like that may make it harder for both of them to land follow-up gigs on a similar scale. Not to mention the idea that public outings will possibly always bring a certain kind of attention from onlookers. 

According to Eric Schiffer, the Chairman of the L.A. firm Reputation Management Consultants, Holmes and Robach are likely feeling a lot of pressure from all sides, using the term “suffocating” to make his point. Here’s how he put it to The U.S. Sun:

To be fair, a basic version of that description can be applied to just about any new relationship. The earliest days are usually the most exciting and jubilant for romantic partners, with the joy of discovering guiding things. What's not so common, however, is for that period to be bungled up by a national TV network investigation and mass amounts of public scrutiny. So it's easy to see how those kinds of pressures might have a negative effect on Holmes and Robach as they figure out where to go next.

But is that actually the case for the journo duo? Robach's recent birthday may indicate otherwise.

T.J. Holmes Bought A Promise Ring For Amy Robach's 50th Birthday

Amy Robach turned 50 years old on Monday, February 6, and it looks like T.J. Holmes wanted her to celebrate their coupling as much as her own legacy. According to the DailyMail, Holmes was seen purchasing a $650 gold promise ring from David Yurman's downtown Manhattan location — specifically the 18-karat gold Unity Cable ring — and was then seen inside a nearby Tiffany & Co. buying a gold chain, which he then looped the ring into.

It's clear that Holmes (and presumably Robach) want to express their shared love publicly now that the threat of ABC's investation is no longer looming large. The main obstacles left in their way are their respective estranged spouses, though formal divorce proceedings are reportedly on the way. 

To that end, one of the outlet's sources called the duo "more in love than ever," which doesn't sound too heavily like they're desperate and suffering from the pressure. If their ABC exits had led to a break-up, it'd be easier to picture them suffocating behind closed doors, as it were. But they seem to be too in love for negative feelings to completely take over.

ABC has certainly moved on with few regrets, quickly altering the opening for GMA3 to reflect T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach no longer being with the company. 

Nearly a month into 2023, ABC News still has yet to come to any sort of a decisive conclusion when it comes to GMA3 anchors T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach, who were removed from on-air duties in early December 2022 over reports of a romantic relationship forming outside of their respective marriages. The rumor mill has been chugging along dependably since that point, with reports pointing to Holmes having a prior history of multiple workplace affairs beneath the Good Morning America umbrella. As ABC’s investigation into the matter continues, with the duo’s jobs potentially on the line, many have no doubt wondered just how privy to these alleged details Robach was. Perhaps unsurprisingly with a story like this, there are claims falling on both sides of the aisle. 

Let’s take a look at both sides of the unsubstantiated coin.

Side 1: Amy Robach Was Totally Unaware Of T.J. Holmes Romances

Given how much Good Morning America viewers and the public at large were taken aback by all the alleged reports of T.J. Holmes’ romantic and sexual escapades behind the scenes, it’s not too far out there to consider the idea that Amy Robach would have been kept in the dark on such things. Especially since she and estranged husband Andrew Shue were family friends with Holmes and future ex-wife Marilee Fiebig, and would regularly hang out for dinners and the like. Plus, it’s intuitive enough to suppose that Robach wouldn’t intentionally want to become tabloid fodder in any kind of situation.

That’s essentially the report being shared by The U.S. Sun’s sources, who claim that Robach was completely taken aback when hearing stories about Holmes’ alleged past, saying:

Considering the public at large hadn't been so hooked on Amy Robach's off-screen world in a tabloid-y sense ahead of her and Holmes' sitch, she possibly wouldn't have expected anything from her private life to shake up her normal routine in such a way. But that's only if the above source's claims are actually legitimate, since there are conflicting ideas coming from elsewhere.

Side 2: Amy Robach Was Completely Aware Of T.J. Holmes Romances

On the other end of the spectrum, Page Six is reporting that Amy Robach wasn't so blindsided by the new reports that have sprung up since they were suspended. Well, at least not by all of them. Rather, their source claims that Holmes was "up front" about his relationship with producer Natasha Singh. Though it's not clear if any of the other rumored trysts were part of that alleged admission.

It's been said that Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes were not exactly hardcore about shielding their burgeoning relationship from others on the GMA3 set, as their co-workers were allegedly well aware of that progression. So with that in mind, perhaps it's easier to believe that Robach would have herself heard or witnessed such behavior with others. But until she speaks up about it, we may not know for sure.

ABC News' investigation is still underway, and many involved apparently don't think that GMA3 will bring Amy Robach or T.J. Holmes back to the anchor desk, with this scandal soiling both the reputation of the daytime program and the network at large. There are reportedly permanent replacements in mind, while the slots are temporarily being filled by Rhiannon Ally and DeMarco Morgan.

As the investigation into Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ alleged affair continues, ex-Bachelor host Chris Harrison is getting in on the conversation. The former Bachelorette host explained he has “strong opinions” about the anchors being pulled from GMA and investigated. And considering he was fired from The Bachelor after making racist comments, he explained why he could relate to the Good Morning America anchors' situation, and how ABC is treating them. 

During an episode of Harrison’s podcast The Most Dramatic Podcast Ever, he talked about a lot of the news to come out about Holmes, Robach and GMA over the last few months. He started by explaining why this was “personal” to him, saying: 

Harrison then went into detail about why he was “sympathetic and empathetic” toward the GMA anchors, saying:

He explained that you don’t know what is going on in other people’s lives. The former Bachelor host also said that “irony is not lost on” him, because these two are going through a similar situation to the one he went through a few years ago. While speaking in support of the GMA anchors he said: “good on you,” after explaining that he had read about Robach and Holmes reportedly being ready to take ABC to court. 

Harrison then went on to explain his thoughts on the possibility of Robach and Holmes being fired, saying: 

Harrison took issue with it being reported that many in the GMA newsroom allegedly knew about the relationship, but once the news broke it was reported that many at the morning show were not on the anchors’ sides. The ex-Bachelor host is clearly on Robach and Holmes’ side in this matter, and even went on to say they could hire his lawyer. 

The former Bachelor in Paradise host said he “wasn’t defending” anything, but did say what they are going through is similar to what he went through. He explained that he was also suddenly pulled from the show, and had many co-workers turn on him. Harrison has spoken over the years about leaving the Bachelor, saying he was “heartbroken,” “gutted,” and “embarrassed.”  Harrison has so many feelings about what is going on at GMA3 that he even offered to do a tell-all interview with Holmes and Robach to talk about everything that happened. 

It’s still unclear what will happen next to Robach and Holmes, as of right now, the investigation is ongoing. So, while the 2023 TV schedule continues so will ABC’s investigation. However, one thing is clear, Chris Harrison is on Amy Robach's and T.J. Holmes' side. 

As we round out the second week of the 2023 TV schedule, the investigation at ABC regarding Good Morning America’s T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach continues. Following the two anchors being pulled from the GMA3 broadcast, rumors have swirled about who would replace them if they are fired. Now, it seems the morning news show might have a replacement in mind for T.J. Holmes. 

According to Page Six, ABC is reportedly looking to hire DeMarco Morgan to replace Holmes. Morgan, who previously worked at CBS2 in Los Angeles, has been filling in for Holmes on GMA3 since he was taken off the air. Now, sources are reporting that this temporary job may become a full-time position for the journalist. 

Per the report, DeMarco was spotted at a media mixer in New York City, and he was seen talking with Cat Mckenzie, a GMA3 producer. It was reported to Page Six that people were “congratulating” him and telling him he was doing good work. A source, that the article referred to as a “spy” at the party, said:

The anchor has been filling in for Holmes for a while now along with Rhiannon Ally, who has been in for Robach. The report states that ABC is happy with the two's work, and their “ratings have been steady.” Apparently, a source also believes while the two don’t have the chemistry their predecessors have, that’s because: 

Throughout the last few months following the news about Holmes and Robachs’ alleged affair and eventual suspension from GMA, it’s been reported that people who work on the broadcast and at ABC are extremely unhappy about the situation. One report said that the “cast and crew are not on their side.” 

A source also said in the Page Six article that there has not been a decision made about if Holmes and Robach will return, explaining no one knows what will happen, and that: 

However, while nothing is “definitive,” insiders say it’s highly “unlikely” that Holmes and Robach will return to GMA. In the most recent report about whether the anchors would be fired, a source said there are “no grounds to fire them.” It’s also been reported in the last week that if the GMA veterans are fired, Holmes and Robach are allegedly ready to take ABC to court. 

While it’s still very unclear if Holmes and Robach will be fired, it is apparent that the two aren’t hiding their relationship, as they spent the holidays traveling together. 

It will be interesting to see how this all shakes out and if Holmes and Robach return to GMA3, or if DeMarco sticks around and becomes a permanent anchor of the Good Morning America segment. 

As more and more time has passed since ABC took GMA3 anchors T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach off the air, in response to their budding romance coming to light, it’s become more difficult for viewers to understand why there hasn’t been any kind of resolution yet. The network is reportedly in the midst of investigating the details, though it hasn’t outwardly appeared as if there’s anything damning to be found, given how up front Holmes and Robach were about seeing each other as their respective marriages fell apart. And with no clear end to the situation in sight, it appears as if the two anchors have lawyered up in noteworthy fashions, and are ready to square off if network execs make the decision to fire them.

At this time, it’s unclear if ABC will find any “smoking gun” evidence of severe wrongdoing on the part of T.J. Homes and Amy Robach, and it seems as if the pair are growing more concerned with the safety of their on-air positions. According to TMZ, the network hasn’t shared any reasoning for exactly why they were facing the off-air punishment. As such, Robach has hired Andrew Brettler, a well-known Hollywood lawyer with a reputation for defending higher-profile celebrities through public backlashes, with past clients such as Armie Hammer and Prince Andrew. Meanwhile, Holmes has employed the services of popular L.A. lawyer Eric George, who once represented Amber Heard. 

For now, though, it appears as if both Andrew Brettler and Eric George have been equally unsuccessful at drawing justifications and answers out of ABC regarding their respective clients’ job security. But their efforts seem to be bringing this situation to the inevitable next step, as it’s reported they plan to file suit against the network if Homes and Robach are fired, or if they are kept off of TV without explanation.

What’s more, it’s also alleged that the lawyer duo are planning to refocus part of the anchors’ punishment through a racial lens. The goal would be to present ABC execs with the question below:

It’s suspected that this would be the first time the network would lean into the morals clause regarding a mixed-race relationship, though it’s unclear what ABC has done in the past concerning colleagues of the same race. Whether or not that would play into the final judgment is unknown. 

However it goes, the lawyers are planning to prove how damaging it would be to T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach’s careers and reputations if they were to be fired for this. Although if other reports ring true, it doesn’t seem like their reputations will be highly regarded on the daytime TV set, either, as the pair’s colleagues at GMA3 are allegedly unpleased with them for drawing the respected morning series into such a dragged-out scandal, and others under the ABC News umbrella are also displeased with the way Holmes and Robach handled things.

While we still don’t know what’ll happen with Holmes and Robach, there were reports saying that ABC has shortlisted potential replacements in the event that the pair would be fired. It seems like both sides are planning for any and all eventualities, but here’s hoping things come to a peaceful conclusion without further dirty laundry and hurt feelings.

It’s usually not a big deal when daytime TV personalities step away from their on-screen roles, as it’s often just a case of hard-earned vacations or dealing with a medical mystery of some kind. But it’s quite a different situation for GMA3 anchors T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach, who were removed from their on-air duties after sparking rumors of a romantic relationship, with both anchors allegedly having split from their respective spouses. It’s now been a full five weeks since the pair made their (presumably) temporary exits, and arguably the biggest question remains: can and will they be fired by ABC? One insider doesn’t think that’s very likely.

Despite the fact that the network has remained almost entirely silent during this whole relationship timeline, it’s been rather impossible for viewers to gain any insight into what might happen with Holmes and Robach on GMA3. But while such silence might indicate a negative outcome in other scenarios, a source for People has claimed their jobs are not at all in jeopardy, and that it’s just a matter of time before they’re back on the small screen again, saying: 

While we can’t speak to the idea that T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach’s situation occurs “all the time” at other companies, the main point there is still salient. ABC’s ongoing investigation has seemingly been focused on determining whether or not the two anchors were engaged in extramarital activities while working, though it doesn’t appear that was ever the case. (Holmes reportedly did have other past relationships with work colleagues, though it’s unclear if that would factor into the current investigation.) 

It’s also noted that T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach’s relationship is “stronger than ever,” in case anyone thought that all the drama might have deflated things. So if ABC execs were hoping their problem could be solved by the two suddenly splitting up, it doesn’t look like that’ll be a potential outcome.

Holmes and Robach reportedly spent part of the holidays together, and were seen briefly out in public in late December, as the latter’s ex Andrew Shue spent Christmas with his sons. It was also during this time when Holmes and estranged wife Marilee Fiebig officially filed for divorce. 

For now, it’s still unclear whether or not either or both of the anchors will return to GMA3: What You Need To Know, but it’s only a matter of time before a decision has to be made. It’s been almost a month since Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes were pulled from Good Morning America following allegations about their relationship. While ABC is still investigating the couple, an insider claims that there have already been other ramifications, specifically for Robach, explaining she has lost support from her coworkers. 

A source explained to Radar Online that there are people who worked with the anchors as well as viewers of Good Morning America who want to see Amy Robach fired. Another source talked about how the morning news anchor hasn’t been able to reach a lot of her colleagues, saying:

Robach’s calls are also reportedly being avoided by members of the news team who were close with the anchor, because they don’t want to be associated with the scandal. 

Following the news that Robach and Holmes had been taken off the air, the ABC boss shared an update about the state of the situation. ABC News President Kim Godwin explained that there has been a lot of “distracting” coverage surrounding the topic, and the two would remain off the air pending the internal review. 

It’s also been reported that various ABC employees allegedly have strong feelings about the situation. Reportedly, Robach’s 20/20 co-anchor and the nightly news host David Muir is “not having it.” Another source explained that “every anchor” is upset about the situation, because the two started a lot of drama that the journalists don’t want to “be associated with.” 

As this investigation goes on, and stories continue to swirl about the state of Robach and Holmes’ relationship, people are really questioning if they’ll return to GMA. While unlikely to happen, it’s been reported that ABC may have reached out to Today’s Carson Daly and Jenna Bush Hager as possible replacements for the two former co-anchors. 

Experts have also weighed in on the state of how the affair has affected ABC, and the likelihood of Robach and Holmes getting fired. A crisis manager explained this may have been a lesser issue at a different network. They explained that this is because the “standard of moral conduct” is probably higher due to ABC being owned by Disney. Whereas on a different network, they may have stayed on the air. 

A legal expert also weighed in saying that if ABC fires Robach and Holmes they will probably have to pay for it. What that means is, it’s possible that the anchors’ contracts have clauses that will make it difficult or costly to fire them. 

While there’s been quite a bit of alleged talk from inside the network, Robach and Holmes are still together, they spent the holidays in Miami. Both anchors broke up with their respective spouses months ago, and it’s unclear when Robach and Holmes became romantically involved. However, it’s clear now, that they are very much together. 

As we finish out the first week of the 2023 TV schedule, the internal investigation at ABC continues, and it's still unclear if they will bring the longtime GMA anchors back, or replace them.

Considering Good Morning America has been an established and trusted branch for morning news for decades, one would think that ABC execs might be more on the ball when it comes to handling its anchor kerfuffle involving colleagues-turned-lovebirds T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach. But it’s now been a full month since the network pulled the journos off the air, with no indication of what will come of the in-house review. But should things potentially go south, a new report points to a shortlist of dream replacements that have allegedly been discussed and/or considered for the gigs.

It’s not entirely clear whether or not ABC can fire the duo, at least without any direct wrongdoing happening behind the scenes, or even if they’d want to stick around after all this time. And it seems like at least some of the network’s powers that be are considering a future where Holmes and Robach have shifted away from the GMA3 family, as a report from RadarOnline claims Today’s Carson Daly and Jenna Bush Hager are among those being viewed as possible replacements to head up the third hour of the morning staple. 

For what it’s worth, it’s not exactly likely that either Carson Daly or Jenna Bush Hager would be immediately available to pop on over to a wholly different network to lend their on-air talents. They likely had to sign contracts with non-compete clauses therein, which are meant to keep talent from jumping ship in such ways in order to work for a rival show or network. But it would appear that the duo were told they were being considered, and both were reportedly flattered by the thought. According to the source:

Carson Daly’s hosting work for The Voice would possibly also complicate things in that manner, even though the primetime competition isn’t direct competition for GMA. That said, it’s altogether possible that Daly is considering leaving the NBC series after buddy Blake Shelton’s final season, since he’s so bummed out by that eventuality. 

But those aren’t even the only Today mainstays that ABC is eyeing, as Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie are also on the list of on-air talents that could be worthy of poaching attempts. This duo seems like way more of a longshot, considering how long they’ve been part of the NBC show, but variety is the spice of life and all that. Maybe they’re looking for just such an opportunity to take on new responsibilities. Or maybe ABC will need to look somewhere other thanToday for a new batch of anchors.

The divorce lawyer, who is the head of the Phillips Nizer family law practice in New York and New Jersey, spoke to the idea that she and T.J. Holmes’ attorney are attempting to bring a legal end to his and Fiebig’s relationship in as discreet a fashion as possible, while also making speediness a priority. And while viewers may never see the estranged husband and wife playing nice on TV again — it’s not clear if or when Holmes will return to the small screen again — their reps are at least trying to keep things calm behind the scenes.

But despite such amicable goals, Stephanie Lehman still dropped some judgment on the GMA3 anchor with Fiebig’s statement, calling T.J. Holmes out for not keeping his family’s interests at heart as he entered into and continued his relationship with his co-worker. In large part, the ABC pair have kept their togetherness outside of the public’s eye, though not entirely, and it does seem like that reticence is in decline, as they vacationed together in Miami as Robach’s ex Andrew Shue and his sons seemingly celebrated the holidays without her.

For the sake of their daughter, one can only hope that Marilee Fiebig and T.J. Holmes’ divorce continues to play out without further incident. That said, it remains to be seen if his legal team will draft a response to Lehman’s statement.

Amy Robach And T.J. Holmes Spent The Holidays In Miami 

We’ve known for a few days now that the two GMA3 anchors were spending Christmas together, and now they’ve been spotted making out in Miami. TMZ reported that the two were spotted locking lips by the beach on December 28. Earlier this week, the two were seen in the Atlanta airport on their way to Florida. Then on Wednesday, the 28, they were seen again in Florida. 

The images show the two arm-in-arm, smiling. Other images show them sharing a kiss while on vacation. 

This comes after the two were seen together in New York City, following rumors that they were no longer a couple. Between these photos from Miami, and the images of their New York City outing it seems fairly obvious that the two are still an item amid the investigation going on at Good Morning America.  

Andrew Shue’s Son Posted A Family Photo Without Amy Robach 

Meanwhile, Andrew Shue’s son Nate Shue posted a family photo on Instagram with his dad and two brothers, with the caption “RIDERS ON THE STORM. ON TO ‘23.” The Shue family was on a trip to Montana. Andrew, along with his three sons Nate, Aidan and Wyatt vacationed together in the colder climate, while Robach was in Florida. 

When Shue and Robach got married, they blended their families, since they had both had kids with their former partners. All three kids pictured in Nate's post are Shue’s sons that he shares with his ex-wife Jennifer Hageney. So, even despite the drama going on with Robach, it makes sense that the three kids would go on a trip with just their dad.

Robach and Shue split up in August after 12 years together. Holmes also split from his wife of 12 years, Marilee Fiebig, in the same month. It’s unclear if the affair between the two GMA anchors started before or after they split from their partners. However, it’s abundantly clear now the co-workers are together. 

As we roll into the 2023 TV schedule, the investigation into Robach and Holmes’ relationship will continue. The two were pulled from Good Morning America earlier this month while the investigation goes on. It’s unclear if they will return or get fired, a crisis manager explained that if they were at a different network it may have been taken differently. However, there is a “certain standard of moral conduct” at GMA since ABC is owned by Disney.

Holmes has been married to Fiebig since 2010, but apparently have been separated since August of this year. Robach, on the other hand, has been married to Melrose Place actor Andrew Shue since 2010 as well, and reportedly separated from him around the same time. Prior to the affair being known (and perhaps established), apparently Robach and Holmes went on tons of double dates with their spouses together. 

The affair between the Good Morning America co-hosts allegedly began in March while they trained together for the New York City Half Marathon. The couple apparently bonded over their love for running and were subsequently seen showing PDA at a bar in Midtown Manhattan in May, along with Holmes grabbing Robach’s butt while on a getaway to a cabin in upstate New York. 

ABC recently decided to suspend their spots on the air “indefinitely” while an internal investigation of their relationship is conducted. ABC News’ boss shared that they felt that keeping the pair on GMA3 during their affair would be “distracting” for viewers and the work the network does. One source reportedly said “they wouldn’t dare be caught together now,” as their employer made their decision. Godwin also said the two will be off the air “pending the completion of an internal review.” 

Based on these pictures, they are clearly still in speaking to each other, and could possibly still be together. 

Robach and Holmes both separated from their respective partners of ten years in August. Sources say their relationship began earlier this year, however, there are conflicting reports about when it actually started. Although the two were seen together on a vacation in Upstate New York looking very close. 

Following the reports that the two were allegedly together, their relationship has been highly publicized and commented on. CBS Mornings anchor Gayle King called the situation “very sloppy.” It’s also been reported that many ABC employees, including Robach’s 20/20 co-anchor David Muir do not like the way Holmes and Robach “handled” the situation. The source explained that “no one” at ABC “wants to be associated with this.” 

GMA and ABC are still reviewing the situation, and it’s unclear if the two anchors will return to GMA 3. According to Amory McAndrew, a legal expert, it’s possible Robach and Holmes could get fired, however, ABC would have to “pay for it.” He explained that both anchors likely have contracts that would make it difficult and costly to fire them. 

Crisis manager Eric Shiffer also explained that the couple’s “careers are likely asphyxiated at Disney and Good Morning America,” saying this situation may have been treated differently if they worked at a different network.

TMZ reported that the couple was still “very much together,” but Daily Mail sources said they’ve started questioning if their relationship can survive this situation.

Kim Godwin initially said that the relationship had become an “internal and external distraction,” when she decided to take them off of the air, but clarified that they had not violated company policy. However, it’s unknown when exactly their romance began, and the network has since decided to look into whether or not they did breach their contracts, which could include actions like using company vehicles to meet romantically or pressuring staffers to keep quiet about the relationship. 

It’s also thought that parent company Disney wouldn’t take too kindly to infidelity, if they were found to have progressed their relationship before the end of their respective 12-year marriages.

TMZ reports that the network is now looking into whether or not Amy Robach or T.J. Holmes did anything to breach their contracts, which could include using company vehicles to meet romantically or pressuring staffers to keep quiet about the relationship.

There’s also the question of the current status of the apparent relationship between the GMA3: What You Need to Know co-anchors, as they’ve both been off of social media and haven’t been seen together since their Friday broadcast. However, TMZ reports that sources connected to both media personalities said they're still “very much together,” and are simply maintaining a low profile.

Recent years have seen Good Morning America’s third hour fronted by the charismatic duo of T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach, and the current news cycle has been partially focused on the pair having engaged in a romantic relationship after quietly splitting from their respective spouses. The news of their lengthy tryst was complicated not only by the decision to remove them from on-air duties, despite both returning to the anchor chairs without issue in the days immediately following the semi-scandalous reveals, but also by more rumors and affair allegations coming to light. 

Let’s take a look at one of the latest higher-profile rumors, as well as how a crisis management professional thinks this situation would have played out much differently if Holmes and Robach were hosting a morning show on a different network.

A Third Workplace Romance For T.J. Holmes?

T.J. Holmes, who reportedly separated from wife Marilee Fiebig over the summer, was alleged to have had another GMA-centric relationship before Amy Robach, as it was reported he carried on an affair with a producer who vacated the morning TV staple back in 2017. Now, Entertainment Tonight has revealed sources claiming Holmes had yet another romance happening behind the scenes, and that this unidentified third woman no longer works for ABC. Further details surrounding that alleged affair are yet to be divulged. 

It's also noted by ET that Holmes' alleged fling with the producer is why Marilee Fiebig supposedly became suspicious of him and Robach's friendship while vacationing together in the Bahamas earlier this year. Specifically, the birthday card that Robach gave to Holmes was reportedly "way too familiar," which is said to have brought up memories of their troubled past. 

Why T.J. Holmes And Amy Robach Would Likely Have Fared Better With Different Network

To date, GMA3 is still without T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach behind the anchor desk, which has sparked more than a few questions about why it remains the case, when disciplinary actions reportedly haven’t been deemed necessary, given their behavior on the set and on-camera is said to have always been entirely professional. Eric Schiffer, chairman of Reputation Management Consultants, has spoken on the matter, pointing to Disney’s idealized squeaky-clean reputation as being the cause for their extended hiatus. Speaking with Fox News, Schiffer stated his belief that Holmes and Robach wouldn’t have dealt with the same setback if they were employed by a network other than ABC. In his words:

Those thoughts are obviously meant to be taken with a grain of salt, since it’s doubtful any Disney higher-ups will publicly cite value systems as being the reason why GMA3 still doesn’t have its usual hosts back. Producers and execs are reportedly trying to figure out the next step, which may very well just come down to waiting for the buzz to die down. Other than that, it’s not clear how else ABC can resolve things, barring Holmes and/or Robach voluntarily resigning. Here’s hoping that won’t be the case, however.

The drama that has surrounded GMA3 co-hosts Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes over the past week almost seems scandalous enough to be fictional. The duo were removed from Good Morning America’s third hour amid widespread rumors that they’d been involved in an affair, after the two were pictured in November on what appeared to be a romantic getaway. Their Upstate New York vacay came just months after they each separated from their spouses, and now, a video has gone viral of Robach making an eyebrow-raising joke during an interview with Reese Witherspoon.

Reese Witherspoon appeared on Good Morning America on October 4, where she spoke with Michael Strahan, George Stephanopoulos and Amy Robach. The conversation turned to the upcoming third season of Witherspoon’s Apple TV+ workplace series The Morning Show, and when the actress asked if the fictional drama ever hit home for the GMA crew, given the similar workplaces, Robach conspiratorially stage-whispered: 

There were laughs all around, as Reese Witherspoon told the host to email her, but Amy Robach’s joke hits different two months later, with rumors now running rampant about an alleged relationship between her and GMA3 co-anchor T.J. The dynamics of workplace relationships were a big part of what The Morning Show was about in its first two seasons. While Season 2 focused more on life and work against the backdrop of the pandemic, Season 1 tackled the #MeToo movement. The series opens with Mitch Kessler (Steve Carell) being fired after a sexual misconduct scandal, in which he had affairs with several colleagues, including his on-air co-host Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston).

Amy Robach suggesting the ABC workplace could be fodder for additional stories on the popular Apple TV+ series is quite interesting, given what we know now. Both she and T.J. Holmes were married to their spouses for 12 years before both couples separated in August 2022. 

Sources have reported their relationship was an open secret around ABC News, but questions remain as to when the romance might have started. One insider said nothing happened between the couple until after both of their marriages were over, while others report an affair may have started in March or June. T.J. Holmes is also rumored to have been involved in a three-year affair with former GMA producer Natasha Singh around 2017.

Amid all the drama, ABC has temporarily taken Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes off the air, replacing them on GMA3 with Gio Benitez and Stephanie Ramos. ABC News president Kim Godwin said that while the couple had not violated company policy, the kerfuffle had become an “internal and external distraction.”
