Jennifer Aniston’s latest photo dump features her boyfriend Jim Curtis and a long list of famous friends. However, her comments section also featured quite the ensemble of celebrity pals. That list specifically included Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Garner, and we have to talk about their replies.

Now, in this photo dump all about the summer, Aniston highlighted a bunch of ways she’s been spending the hotter days of 2026. She kicked it off with a cute car selfie of her and Jim Curtis (who she’s been in a serious relationship with for many months now), and then followed that up with adorable photos with friends. Those friends included famous folks like Naomi Watts, Billy Crudup, Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and more. Take a look:

This post is honestly summer goals, and I think Sandra Bullock’s comment makes that point even clearer, as she wrote:

For context, Bullock and Aniston have been friends for a very long time. They became pals about 16 years ago when they bonded at a mutual friend’s wedding, per Vanity Fair. Since then, they’ve supported each other, and they have spoken very highly about one another. Over the years, the Horrible Bosses star has also posted (via People) about her friendship with her fellow actress.

However, Bullock only joined Instagram in April. So, when the Miss Congeniality star began uploading posts, we finally got to see the friends interacting on socials. And it’s been wonderful to see comments like this from both Bullock and Aniston (who wrote “She’s here!” on her friend’s first IG post earlier this spring).

Meanwhile, Jennifer Garner also got in on the fun, highlighting the moon photo in Aniston’s dump while also shouting out Nancy Banks, who is tagged in a delightful selfie:

Notably, this selfie Garner commented on was taken in a dark space, and while the Friends star is in focus, her friends are blurry. Overall, it’s a very cute photo, and they all look so happy to be together.

Of course, this kind of love and support makes sense. I mean, back in May, Aniston was in the comments on Garner's post hyping up her Elektra bangs. Plus, the actresses share mutual friends and collaborators, like Reese Witherspoon, who works with Aniston on The Morning Show and executive produces Garner’s series, The Last Thing He Told Me, both of which can be streamed with an Apple TV subscription. So, it’s always fun to see all these women interacting with each other online and hyping up posts like this.

Garner and Bullock weren’t the only famous folks in the comments, though. Alongside them, Aniston’s summer photo dump was met with more love from celebs like Lily Collins and more, take a look:

Of course, this level of love comes as no surprise. We’ve seen Aniston and Courteney Cox reunite on social media, and the Rachel actress and Lisa Kudrow have hilariously discussed Friends recently. Overall, The Morning Show star has been consistently posting about and supporting her friends online. So, it’s always wonderful to see her get that kind of appreciation in return.

Now that all that is said and done, I think it’s time for us to start manifesting a project that involves Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Garner and Sandra Bullock. Clearly, they adore each other, and I’d love to see that energy on the big screen.

'Tis the season for beachy reads and summer vibes, right? I've had The Five Star Weekend by Elin Hilderbrand on my TBR for a while, and with Peacock's book-to-screen adaptation coming up on the 2026 TV schedule in about a month, there are a few key things I know I need the TV show to get right.

I completely understand that adaptations need to make changes from the book, but there are a few things about The Five Star Weekend that I really want to see in the adaptation, so I hope the show keeps them.

Before I get to those things, here's the obvious spoiler warning. If you haven't read The Five-Star Weekend, I highly recommend it! It's about Hollis, a grieving widow who invites one close friend from each phase of her life to celebrate a weekend with her in Nantucket, in the hopes of helping her move forward. Each of the other main characters is dealing with something in their lives that they need to resolve or are trying to take their minds off during the weekend. The TV show adaptation will be available to those with a Peacock subscription on Thursday, July 9. Watch the trailer below, and mind the major book spoilers beyond the video! 🛑

Hollis And Caroline's Relationship

I hope that the core of Hollis's relationship with her young-adult daughter, Caroline (Harlow Jane), is similar to the book. Hilderbrand's story focuses heavily on the importance of female friendships throughout a woman's life, and that includes the relationship shared between a mother and her daughter. In the source material, Hollis (Jennifer Garner) and Caroline are borderline estranged, and from the trailer, it's evident we're going to see that tension. I hope they also focus on how they overcome that, and Caroline's shifting perspective of her mother over the course of the weekend, as it's one of my favorite parts of the book.

Tatum And Kyle's Close Relationship

While most of the women in The Five-Star Weekend are dealing with a range of issues some of which involve romantic relationships, Hollis' childhood BFF Tatum (Chloe Sevigny) and her husband Kyle (David Denman) are an actually-happy married couple. In the book, Tatum is stressing over a possible cancer diagnosis, so her life isn't perfect, but she does have Kyle, and the sparks are still flying for them in the decades since they were childhood sweethearts. I really hope we get to see some of that in the show. I'm also expecting some sparks between Hollis and her high school flame, Jack (Timothy Olyphant).

Dru-Ann's Whole Public Image Crisis

Goodness, did I love Dru-Ann in the book, and I love that Regina Hall is playing her in the TV show. A lot of what Dru-Ann (Hollis's former college roommate) is going through in the book -- being publicly cancelled in her high-profile sportscaster career for comments she made being taken out of context -- takes place over the phone and social media, so I really hope the show finds a way to make it relevant to the plot, as its conclusion was one of my favorite parts of the book.

I just love the way Dru-Ann stood her ground on the things she did and didn't say that got her cancelled, but also showed the strength of her character when she apologized to Tatum for something she did actually say to her years ago. She's such a great character, and I hope the show highlights all of those aspects of her.

Gigi's Mystery And Complexity

It's revealed partway through the book that Gigi (Gemma Chan), the friend Hollis knows from her website, but has never met in person, is actually her husband's mistress. Of course, Hollis has no idea about this when she invites her to the weekend.

I'm honestly ok with however the show decides to reveal the truth about Gigi, both to us (the viewers) and to Hollis. What I do hope is that they find a way to bring the layers of Gigi's character -- her curiosity about Hollis, her grief, her guilt, and anything else going on with her -- to the screen. In the book, Gigi's by no means a saint, but she's also not a monster.

I also hope that there's time and room for us to see how Hollis deals with the information about her husband and their marriage, as her reaction in the book is a bit of a roller coaster, understandably so.

As I said, I know Bekah Brunstetter and the other writers are going to have to change things for the TV series. Now that I've read the book, I kind of hope they do here and there, to build in some suspense and surprises for those of us who've read the novel. But these are just a few things I loved so much from the book, and I hope the TV show does these parts justice.

It’s been over a decade since Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck split up, but given how much the actress supported her ex during his divorce from Jennifer Lopez — and the fact that they share three children — we know that the two remain close. Sources claim that they’re even close enough for Garner to have opinions about Affleck’s dating life. To that point, one insider is spilling the tea about why the Yes Day star allegedly thinks her ex-husband should stay single for a bit.

Bennifer 2.0 — aka Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s second attempt — ended in August 2024 when JLo filed for divorce on their second wedding anniversary. In the aftermath, Affleck seemed to be spending a lot of time with his ex-wife, their three kids and Jennifer Garner’s partner John Miller, even joining them for Thanksgiving and Christmas (I wonder how Miller feels about that?). Affleck has not dated anyone publicly, and sources for Page Six allege that’s how Garner thinks it should be:

Jennifer Garner reportedly helped Ben Affleck with health post-divorce by putting together care packages of food, reminding him about doctor and dentist appointments and sending him vitamins. She wasn’t the only one looking after him, though, as Matt Damon also allegedly encouraged Affleck to focus on his work during the tough times.

Ben Affleck may have a good support system, but Matt Damon and Jennifer Garner’s advice will only go so far, and Garner allegedly understands that. The source continued:

Lopez formally filed for divorce from Affleck in 2024 and, by early 2025, their split was finalized. In the aftermath, rumors swirled around the former partners' love lives and, as of late, Lopez has been open about enjoying the single life. Meanwhile, Ben Affleck may be casually dating, but that doesn’t appear to be his main priority, sources have said, and this insider concurs, saying:

In addition to The Rip, which stars Ben Affleck and Matt Damon and can be streamed with a Netflix subscription, he’s got another project in the works for the 2026 movie schedule. Animals is a crime thriller on which Affleck serves as director, producer, co-writer and star. It is expected to be a part of Netflix’s calendar this year.

Jennifer Garner has had a long and wildly successful career, in both TV and film. Some of the best Garner movies and shows have put the actress into epic action, and she's picked up some killer skills along the way. That includes her role as the star of Alias, and her time playing Elektra Natchios (both of which are streaming with a Disney+ subscription). The actress recently joked about her abilities, like knife fighting, and wanting to use those skills before she gets too long in the tooth.

Garner reprised her role as Elektra in Deadpool & Wolverine, to the joy of fans who spent years watching the Marvel movies in order. She once again got to kick butt with her sai, and during an interview with InStyle she joked about the strange fighting skills she's learned over the years. In the actress's words:

Honestly, give this woman more action ASAP. Garner has always been able to bring heart and character-driven motivation, even when doing action sequences in projects like Alias and Daredevil. And while she's still able to kick butt and take names, she's unsure about how long she can physically use skills like knife fighting or using a compound bow and arrow. After seeing her return as Elektra in Deadpool & Wolverine, I'm really hoping she gets to play that character again in upcoming Marvel movies.

In the same interview, the journalist who spoke to Garner seemingly told her that she looks like she could still keep up with her younger self. The Love, Simon actress responded by saying:

Aging gets to us all, and long, grueling film shoots are especially daunting. It doesn't sound like Garner is ready to hang up her sai for good, but she seemingly anticipates that day coming in the future. Hopefully, we can see the Golden Globe-winning actress get another action-heavy role sooner rather than later. Of course, I'd prefer it being Elektra.

While it remains to be seen if any action-heavy roles are in her future, Jennifer Garner's IMDb page has her listed for a whopping six upcoming projects, both in TV and film. While they're not on the 2026 movie release list, it's clear that the Alias actress's career is still very much thriving.

It's no doubt 13 Going on 30 is now considered a classic movie of the 2000s. So, I guess it was only a matter of time before the title would get rebooted for a new generation and, now, it's actually happening at Netflix! While I wasn't expecting this remake, there's one big reason why I'm dancing "Thriller"-style after seeing the announcement.

Real talk. 13 Going on 30 is kind of perfect how it is. The cast is pitch-perfect, and the story is so sweet. Also, as someone who recently turned 30 and rewatched it, I can say it definitely holds up. But, when Netflix announced the reboot (via X), there were two magic words that got me on board: Jennifer Garner.

That's right, Garner has boarded the new film as an executive producer. While she may not be the star this time around, I'm so happy she'll be involved, and it makes me confident that she'll ensure the essence of Gary Winick's OG movie is present in the new film. Plus, Emily Bader -- who's amazing as the star of one of the best films on the 2026 movie schedule so far, People We Meet On Vacation -- will be the new leading lady and star alongside Hollywood heartthrob Logan Lerman.

This 13 Going On 30 remake will be directed by Brett Haley, who also helmed People We Meet On Vacation, along with ba few sweet films like Hearts Beat Loud, All The Bright Places and All Together Now. I definitely trust him to bring a lot of heart to this reboot, given his filmography.

I'm also not surprised that Jennifer Garner is involved, because she has shown her love for the 13 over the years. She even talked about being stopped at airports by fans of the film. Recently, she also talked about remaining close with co-star Mark Ruffalo over the years along with being best friends with Tom Tom actress Judy Greer, who she recently worked with on The Last Thing He Told Me Season 3. I would imagine that Garner saw some serious potential with this reboot if she decided to join as a producer, and I'm so glad she's involved.

Of course, I still have a lot of questions about how the creative team will approach this movie. For starters, who will be the one who goes from 13 to 30? Will it be Emily Bader or Logan Lerman? My gut is it will be Bader, but it would be interesting to see the story gender-swapped this time. The other element I'm curious about is whether Garner will have a role in the movie and if so, would she reprise her role be Jenna Rink or play someone else completely? Should she have a cameo, I'd think it would probably be the latter.

I don't really feel like I need another 13 Going On 30 movie, but, hey, if they are going to do it, it's important to have some talented people on the project. And with Garner being a key producer who cares a lot about the original movie and knows what it means to people, I'll breathe a sigh of relief for right now. So best believe I will absolutely be checking this out with my Netflix subscription once it comes out!

Reese Witherspoon celebrated a milestone birthday this weekend, turning 50 on March 22, and it’s no surprise that the beloved actress was showered with parasocial love from those around her. As she received lovely (and, in one case, musical) messages from friends like Kerry Washington, Jennifer Garner, Mindy Kaling, Gwyneth Paltrow and many more, she returned the favor with sweet words of her own for her loved ones.

In the case of Jennifer Garner, I can definitely see why Reese Witherspoon would be inspired to share a personalized message to her Instagram Stories. The 13 Going on 30 star whipped out the saxophone for a rendition of “You Are My Sunshine,” with images of the birthday girl and animated suns popping up around her as she played:

Going even further back into Reese Witherspoon’s greatest movies and TV roles, her Cruel Intentions co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar had a hilarious take on her friend turning 50, which apparently had Witherspoon laughing:

This practice of responding to well-wishes with personalized greetings is actually really on brand for Reese Witherspoon, given her “very important” rule about returning to The Morning Show. It makes a lot of sense that someone who would make a point of telling everyone hello on the first day back on set would also prioritize replying to her birthday posts.

Gwyneth Paltrow received one of those responses after she shared a pic with the actress:

You can tell that she was really feeling the love, as she responded to people from her team, author Harlan Coben, who co-wrote her novel Gone Before Goodbye, former colleagues like Big Little Lies’ Darby Camp, comedian Leanne Morgan, singer Kelsea Ballerini, and Mindy Kaling, who shared this exchange with Reese Witherspoon:

While birthdays are something of a personal holiday, it seems like Reese Witherspoon is insistent on spreading the love around and not just enjoying her day in the spotlight. Should we really expect anything less from the woman who throws Halloween parties for her colleagues or creates a “Magical Wonderland” at her house over the holidays? I’ll bet she even sends Thank You cards for her gifts. What a woman.

Hopefully the actress felt as much love as she sent out on her birthday, and we’ll be keeping an eye out for her next projects on the 2026 TV schedule. While The Morning Show Season 5 is filming now, we’re unlikely to get that batch of episodes before 2027, but we’re definitely looking forward to the Legally Blonde prequel Elle, which Reese Witherspoon is executive producing. That’s set to premiere July 1 and can be streamed with a Prime Video subscription.

There’s no doubt that 13 Going on 30 is one of the funniest family-friendly rom-coms to watch. Even over 20 years after its release, the film remains a beloved classic (and a prime example of how to be “thirty, flirty and thriving”). Despite the continued love the film gets, the children of its star, Jennifer Garner, have had a very different shared experience with the fantasy flick. Garner recently explained how her movie led to some “tortured years” for the kids.

Garner previously said filming 13 Going on 30 was one of the “happiest” parts of her life, which I can totally understand. However, she recently revealed on Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce that she actually hadn’t seen her iconic movie since its 2004 premiere and could use a rewatch. On the other hand, that can't be said for her children, who've had to screen the film under some less-than-ideal circumstances. Garner said:

I would've never expected a movie as warm and funny as 13 Going on 30 could have led to such awkwardness for Jennifer Garner’s kids! However, at the same time, I get the feelings held by the now-not-so-little-kids - Violet (20), Seraphina (17) and Samuel (13) - who Garner shares with ex-husband Ben Affleck.

Part of the fun of being at a sleepover is having a bit of freedom away from one's parents. So, if I were to have to watch my mother in a movie during a sleepover, that'd probably be a record-scratch moment for me as well.

Someone could argue that 13 Going on 30 is one of Jennifer Garner’s best movies , as she perfectly plays teen-turned-adult Jenna Rink in the film. There are also plenty of great moments in the movie, such as when Jenna and Mark Ruffalo's Matty lead a performance of the Thriller dance. Of course, the romantic and comedic bits also hit. Nevertheless, as Garner further explained, he kids had visceral reactions to any screenings of the Gary Winick-helmed film:

As wild as it may seem that Garner's kids wouldn't be keen on watching one of her signature films, it actually tracks based on other comments she's shared. The Valentine's Day actress previously explained that her kids prefer watching their dad’s movies to hers, as they prefer to avoid watching their mom be sad or fall in love on screen. I'd imagine it has to be an interesting experience for young children to watch their actor parents on screen, and this recent anecdote from Garner seems to illustrate that very point.

It's my hope that it's at least somewhat easier for Jennifer Garner's kids to watch 13 Going on 30 now. Regardless of whether they can do so no with ease or not, I can say that I'll personally continue to watch the movie for years to come.

The love for 13 Going on 30 is still going strong after more than two decades, especially as a generation who grew up watching the 2004 coming-of-age movie enter their 30s. One would think that Jennifer Garner is tired of being reminded of a movie she filmed so long ago, but based on her latest comments, it's actually quite the opposite.

After recently referencing the movie during a conversation with Stephen Colbert, it came up again when she spoke to Hits Radio UK. The interviewer brought up that they were 30, which led to this amusing comment from Jennifer Garner:

Some actors are tied to the best Christmas movies, while others have iconic character archetypes that show up in every movie; I can't think of many stars other than Jennifer Garner specifically tied to an age.

Garner has gone on record about the cultural relevance of 13 Going on 30 in recent years, pointing to the fact that many former 13-year-olds who watched it are now in their 30s. So, when she claims she's up to make videos for people in the airport when they stop her to talk about the movie, I'm apt to believe she's serious!

The Alias vet and co-star Mark Ruffalo have kicked around ideas for a sequel with them jumping ahead and tackling an older age. While that may be a tongue-in-cheek suggestion, I do think there is something there in bringing this franchise back for another movie. Maybe it's like this time Jenna goes back in time and goes from 50 to 25?

I have to admit, as fun as it is to think about Mark Ruffalo having to re-learn the "Thriller" dance, there is something special about a classic movie that doesn't have a sequel these days. While there are instances where classics like The Devil Wears Prada are apparently even better with a follow-up, there's always the risk of opening things up only to hurt the legacy. Is it worth opening this movie world back up, only for Jennifer Garner to have to listen to people tell her in airports that they wish she never done a sequel?

I'll leave the movie pitching and decisions up to Hollywood executives, and continue to enjoy watching 13 Going on 30 every now and again. For anyone in need of a rewatch, it's currently free to stream right now on Tubi.

He spent a considerable amount of time promoting his 2026 movie schedule entry, The Rip, alongside co-star and good buddy Matt Damon and the rest of the cast. And, of course, Affleck also headlined that viral Super Bowl ad. While the A-lister’s career continues to flourish, there are still questions regarding the next steps in his romantic life over a year after the finalization of his divorce from Jennifer Lopez. Now, a source is weighing in on that front.

Lopez and Affleck’s split was made official (from a legal standpoint) back in January 2025. About a month or so later, it was reported that the Air director had been “casually dating” but was not getting into anything serious. An insider recently made claims about Ben Affleck’s love life while speaking with inTouch Weekly. If this person is to be believed, there’s one thing the Oscar winner definitely is not aiming for when it comes to romance:

This claim should be taken with a grain of salt though, as mentioned earlier, Ben Affleck is a busy man these days. According to this unnamed insider, though, there’s still something Affleck isn’t opposed to when it comes to dating:

Affleck has dated and married women of varying ages over the years. Of course, he was most notably married to Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018, and the couple share three kids – Violet (20), Seraphina (17) and Samuel (13). (Garner and Affleck remain close while co-parenting.) There’s also Affleck’s relationship with Lopez, who he was originally engaged to between 2002 and 2004 and married in Las Vegas in 2022 after reconciling. By April 2024, the pair had separated, and Lopez filed for divorce in August of that year.

Since then, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have seemingly maintained a friendly relationship and have even still provided support for each other’s kids at varying times. The pair were all smiles when they appeared at the red carpet premiere of Kiss of the Spider Woman last fall. However, insiders said that the lovely meetup wouldn’t signify a romantic reconciliation for “Bennifer.” While they were friendly, that was also a business outing, as Affleck was an EP on the movie and, per this source, Affleck is focused on his career:

[He] seems totally immune to falling in love, or at least totally disinterested in that at the moment. Ben is trying to build an empire with his new studio [Artists Equity] and walking that path alone or with just [Matt Damon] at his side, works for him right now. He has his eyes on the real prize, not the next random hot actress that catches his eye.

So, all in all, it’s being alleged that Ben Affleck is keeping his eyes focused on work while also leaving the door open for casual relationships. If that is true, it’s hard to say whether the public will become privy to any details regarding any of the ladies Affleck sees in the near future. Regardless, given Affleck’s persona, I’d imagine he’d have no problem finding a partner should he seek one.

It’s always fun to look back at the work an actor or comedian did before they made it big. From guest star roles on Law and Order to stories of SNL auditions, it’s always wild to hear about the time their breakthrough gig came around. For Jennifer Garner and Stephen Colbert, one of those jobs was Spin City, which led to the actress babysitting for the talk show host. Now, they’ve reflected on all of that, and the 13 Going on 30 star’s reaction to The Late Show host's kid being 30 now was perfect.

The year is 1996, the show is Spin City, one of Michael J. Fox’s best projects and one of the best sitcoms ever. For Season 1, Episode 10, both Stephen Colbert and Jennifer Garner were hired to guest star. Colbert played Frank, and Garner played Becky. Talking about all this on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the Alias star said:

While both of them thought the other had recurring roles, they only appeared in the one episode. So, since they didn’t have huge parts on the show, they had time to get to know each other. That led to Colbert offering Garner a job, as she explained:

At the time, Garner hadn’t broken big in Hollywood yet. She had a few credits to her name, including Law and Order and Dead Man’s Walk. However, she was still a few years away from landing the lead role in Alias.

Meanwhile, Colbert’s part came along a year before he joined The Daily Show and not long after he had appeared in eight episodes of The Dana Carvey Show. He was also writing here and there for Saturday Night Live. Along with all that, he and his wife, Evelyn, had welcomed their daughter Madeline. Noting that he hired Garner to watch his oldest daughter, the talk show host said:

It is wild to think about how much time has passed, especially when kids and careers are involved. While Colbert’s daughter is all grown up now, her dad and babysitter evolved into massive stars who have incredibly successful careers that are going strong today.

Some relationships move fast, and then some result in dead bodies after less than two months. 56 Days, based on Catherine Ryan Howard's novel of the same name, introduces audiences to two lovers, Ciara (Dove Cameron) and Oliver (Avan Jogia), who meet and begin a relationship. 56 days later, an unidentified body is discovered, and questions arise regarding just what happened between these two. Wild Boys: Strangers in Town - February 18 (Paramount+)

True crime fans probably already have a Paramount+ subscription as the streaming service has been a good source for documentary content of that sort, but its new offering is something a little different. Wild Boys: Strangers in Town is a two-part story about two boys who wandered into a British Columbia town claiming to have lived off the grid their entire lives. At first, their story seemed incredible, though to some it was literally unbelievable.

The Night Agent Season 3 - February 19 (Netflix)

This is what you get for answering the phone. The Night Agent opens when a man monitoring an emergency phone picks up and finds himself thrown into a deadly conspiracy. Things haven’t slowed down, as Season 3 of The Night Agent is here. If you’ve got your Netflix subscription ready to go, you can still binge through the first two seasons before the third season drops (in a rare move for Netflix these days) in its entirety.

The Last Thing He Told Me, Season 2 - February 20 (Apple TV)

The Last Thing He Told Me was a hit for everybody with an Apple TV subscription. The problem was that it was based on a book that was meant to be a standalone. However, Laura Dave’s sequel novel, The First Time I Saw Him, came out last month, and a second season of the show based on the book went into production alongside it. Ergo, fans will be getting a second dose.

The shortest month of the year wraps up next week with some of the biggest releases so far. If you’re dying to see what happens next with the new season of Bridgerton or can’t wait to be reunited with your friends from Scrubs, you don’t have too much longer to wait.

We’ve all had awkward days at work, but few can top Jennifer Garner casually biting part of a co-star’s ear during a fight scene. While promoting the 2026 TV schedule release of The Last Thing He Told Me Season 2, the actress shared one of the most unhinged on-set stories imaginable, revealing she didn’t need a refresher on her scene partner at all. The two already had a history that involved a very much “like Mike Tyson” ear loss.

Now, she's set to bring that same energy to the latest season of the upcoming original Apple TV show, ideally with fewer off-camera injuries this time around.

13 Going On 30 is one of those syrupy-sweet romantic comedies from the 2000s we’ll always go back to. And, when it comes to its stars, Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo, it sounds like they’ve got a pretty adorable real-life relationship that makes me so happy as a fan of the 2004 movie.

When they were promoting the sci-fi action movie, they said they felt like they “picked up where we left off” on the movie. At the time, they also pitched a 13 Going on 30 sequel called 50 Going on 80.

Jason Momoa would fall under this category for not wanting his kids to act, so they can escape the pressures of stardom. It was the same deal with Matthew McConaughey, who “never” wanted his kids to become actors.

Funnily enough, the sons of the two aforementioned A-listers still followed in their fathers’ footsteps. Momoa’s son, Nakoa-Wolf, ended up acting alongside his dad in Dune: Part 3, and McConaughey’s son, Levi, acted with his dad in the Apple TV movie, The Lost Bus. It proves that some kids don’t need a push from their parents to find their purpose, but may still arrive at the same path anyway.

Ben Affleck doesn’t have to worry about his kids pursuing acting careers at the moment, as teenagers Samuel and Seraphina focus on school, and 20-year-old Violet delves into activism. She recently delivered a speech at the United Nations about mask mandates and clean air endeavors following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Clearly, the only push Affleck and Garner impose on their kids is to create their own footsteps instead of walking in their parents’ shadows.

It does seem like a tedious practice, though. If everyone’s under a nickname, how do you remember who’s who? You could add their real name as a nickname and then do a search when you need to find someone, which might keep an eavesdropper from knowing who you’re talking to, but it wouldn’t help in the case of a lost or stolen phone.

Honestly, I have to wonder what Jennifer Garner’s nickname for Reese Witherspoon is, since she admitted to having one. There’s no way Garner simply used Witherspoon’s real name, Laura Jeanne, is there? Jennifer Aniston would have a field day with that.

Well, maybe after making a few small changes, including switching out that pumpkin I’m spotting in the corner. Swap that for a little fake snow and your "magical wonderland" becomes the perfect winter wonderland. Where We Stand On Elektra Appearing in Doomsday

Let’s pump the brakes. Remember Marvel’s 5-hour slowroll presentation of all the Doomsday actor announcements and their chairs? Yeah, well, Garner’s name never appeared. Of course, this doesn’t mean she won’t be in the movie, as we already know there are going to be a ton of surprises in the film. However, there’s no confirmation from Marvel or the actress herself about what this image really means, and based on the context of the rest of the photos in her post, it very well could be, and probably is, from Deadpool & Wolverine.

Also, when you look at the rest of the photos in her post, the most likely explanation is that the shot comes from D&W.

Still, fans are holding onto hope. “This makes me so happy,” one person commented. Another simply quote-tweeted the photo with: “Elektra is back!” Honestly, I get it. As a fan of the 13 Going on 30 star myself, I’d love to see her return as Elektra Natchios, but this doesn’t feel like "that" announcement.

The “ELEVEN” on the director’s chair? It’s probably just how cameos were labeled on the Deadpool 3 set — especially considering the chair uses the Elektra font. It feels more like a quiet wink than a major reveal, likely designed to keep things under wraps during filming.

In one pic, the four chat and in another, Garner greets someone as the Gone Girl star embraces them in a hug. Also, another shot appears to show a brief meet-up with Affleck’s mom, Chris Bolt.

Context helps explain why these snapshots keep drawing clicks. Garner and Affleck married in 2005, filed for divorce in 2017, and finalized it in 2018.

All in all, this latest family outing would seem to lend credence to the notion that the bond between these former spouses are still sturdy.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe introduced an entire generation of superhero movie fans to some of the comic book publishing giant’s most iconic characters, such as Iron Man and Thor. However, many of the heroes and villains we know from those Marvel movies in order have found their way to the big or small screen. Let’s honor some of the actors who brought them to life before they were inducted into the MCU.

Tobey Maguire (Spider-Man)

Some Marvel Comics fans have criticized the casting of Tobey Maguire in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, considering he was far older than when Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive arachnid at the time. While Tom Holland certainly fit the bill of a teenage vigilante better years later, Maguire is still remembered today as one of the best to play the role. Not to mention, he wore, arguably, the best cinematic Spidey outfit of all time.

Jessica Alba (Invisible Woman)

Following her Golden Globe-nominated breakthrough role on Dark Angel, Jessica Alba could be seen just about everywhere in the early 2000s. Ironically, she made her comic book movie debut in Tim Story's Fantastic Four as a superhero known for being unseen: Sue "Invisible Woman" Storm, who would be inducted into the MCU with Vanessa Kirby's portrayal.

Ben Affleck (Daredevil)

Ben Affleck would make an amusing, if not polarizing, impression when he joined a long line of live-action Batman actors for Zack Snyder's short-lived DC Extended Universe. More than a decade earlier, the Oscar winner cut his teeth in the world of superhero acting by playing the title role of 2003's Daredevil before Charlie Cox took over the role for the MCU in his own hit series.

Djimon Hounsou (Black Panther)

Djimon Hounsou has a small role in 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy as Korath the Pursuer, but had voiced the Black Panther in a BET original animated series four years earlier. The Academy Award nominee would later share the screen as Korath with the MCU's T'Challa, Chadwick Boseman, for an episode of the animated anthology series, What If...?

Wesley Snipes (Blade)

Marvel's popular vampire hunter character would, technically, make his MCU debut when Mahershala Ali made a vocal cameo as Blade in the post-credit sequence of 2021's Eternals. However, the first actor to play the Daywalker in his own trilogy of Blade movies, Wesley Snipes, beat him to the punch by making a full, live MCU appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Dolph Lundgren (The Punisher)

It is hard to imagine Rocky IV star Dolph Lundgren with jet black hair, but he donned it to play Frank Castle in a straight-to-video feature adaptation of The Punisher in 1989. The role of the vengeful vigilante would be passed down a couple more times before Jon Bernthal took over as the MCU's official iteration, but the Swedish actor would later return to comic book movie acting as King Nereus in the Jason Momoa-led Aquaman movies.

David Hasselhoff (Nick Fury)

Samuel L. Jackson's performance as Nick Fury has become so definitive that Marvel would use his likeness in the Ultimate universe comics. However, the eye-patched secret agent's main iteration better resembles David Hasselhoff, who would, indeed, play him in 1998's Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., a made-for-TV movie that was intended to be a pilot for an original series on Fox.

Jennifer Garner (Elektra Natchios)

Jennifer Garner played a lighter interpretation of Matt Murdock's assassin lover, Elektra Natchios, in 2003's Daredevil and in her own spin-off film from two years later. While the Alias star would also reprise the role in Deadpool & Wolverine, the official MCU iteration, introduced in Season 2 of the Daredevil series, is played by Élodie Yung.

Chris Evans (Human Torch)

Chris Evans is one of the few MCU actors who can say he previously played a superhero from a different corner of the Marvel Multiverse. Years before he was cast as Steve Rogers in Captain America: The First Avenger, he starred in the 2000s Fantastic Four movies as the Human Torch, which he referenced to hilarious effect in Deadpool & Wolverine. The MCU later introduced its own official iteration of Johnny Storm, played by Joseph Quinn.

Lou Ferrigno (Hulk)

Before Bruce Banner's mean, green alter ego became the product of putting Mark Ruffalo in a performance capture suit, he was brought to life in live-action on the hit TV show, The Incredible Hulk, by Lou Ferrigno, standing in for David Banner actor Bill Bixby whenever he would get angry. The legendary bodybuilder also lent his voice to the role in the Incredible Hulk animated series and made a cameo as a security guard in both 2003's Hulk and the Edward Norton-led MCU debut.

J.K. Simmons (J. Jonah Jameson)

One of the few actors known for playing the same Marvel character both in and outside of the MCU is J.K. Simmons. The Academy Award winner stole the show as the editor-in-chief of the Daily Bugle in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man movies before reimagining the role as a conspiracy theorist and podcast host in the Tom Holland-led films.

Doug Jones (Silver Surfer)

The MCU would introduce a unique version of the Silver Surfer played by Emmy winner Julia Garner in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Doug Jones, a master of roles requiring performance capture and heavy makeup transformations, shares credit for portraying the first "live-action" iteration of the metallic-skinned alien from 2007's Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer with Laurence Fishburne, who provided the voice.

Robert Hays (Iron Man)

It is hard to imagine anyone else in the role of Tony Stark other than Academy Award winner Robert Downey Jr., but Iron Man was the star of his own animated series years earlier in the mid-1990s. Voicing the wealthy vigilante was Robert Hays, who is best known for starring in the classic spoof movie, Airplane!, as Ted Striker.

Neil Patrick Harris (Spider-Man)

In 2003, MTV aired a TV show very loosely connected to Sam Raimi's Marvel movies called Spider-Man: The New Animated Series. Instead of Tobey Maguire, the actor providing the voice of Peter Parker was none other than future How I Met Your Mother cast member Neil Patrick Harris, who later contributed to the 2010 video game, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions.

Eric Allan Kramer (Thor)

Years before Chris Hemsworth's definitive performance as Thor in the MCU made him a household name, Eric Allan Kramer of Robin Hood: Men in Tights and Good Luck Charlie fame became the first actor the play the role in live-action in the 1988 TV movie, The Incredible Hulk Returns. However, I feel obligated to mention that Vincent D'Onofrio's role in Adventures in Babysitting as Dawson, who bears a striking resemblance to the God of Thunder, predates Kramer's portrayal by a year.

Rosemary Harris (Aunt May)

With all due respect and admiration for Marisa Tomei, the Oscar winner is certainly not the first person you would picture to play Peter Parker's Aunt May, as she does in the MCU. However, Rosemary Harris is not only the spitting image of the comic book character, but also gives a moving, iconic performance as May opposite Tobey Maguire's Peter in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy.

Matt Salinger (Captain America)

One of the most notable screen iterations of Steve Rogers that pre-dates Chris Evans' portrayal comes from 1990's infamous straight-to-video feature, Captain America. Playing the title role is Matt Salinger, who, believe it or not, is the son of The Catcher in the Rye author J.D. Salinger, as the actor discussed with The Guardian.

James Avery (War Machine)

Most people know actor James Avery best from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air cast as Philip Banks. Around that same time, however, the actor lent his voice to the animated Iron Man series as James "Rhodey" Rhodes, a.k.a. War Machine, years before Tony Stark's buddy was portrayed in the MCU by Don Cheadle... and Terrence Howard, of course.

Nicholas Hammond (Spider-Man)

Before the role was brought to life by Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland, the first actor to play Peter Parker in live-action was Nicholas Hammond. The Sound of Music star led CBS' Spider-Man series and its two made-for-TV companion films in the late 1970s.

Jennifer Connelly (Betty Ross)

Liv Tyler appeared in 2008's The Incredible Hulk as Betty Ross, the colleague and love interest of Edward Norton's Bruce Banner. Years earlier, in 2003's Hulk, she was played by Academy Award winner Jennifer Connelly, who was also subtly inducted into the MCU as the voice of Karen, the AI built into Peter Parker's high-tech suit in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Thomas Jane (The Punisher)

Three actors were brought in to play Frank Castle before Jon Bernthal was cast in the role for the MCU. The second, after Dolph Lundgren and before Ray Stevenson, and first to bring the vigilante into the 21st Century, was Thomas Jane in 2004's The Punisher, which sees the anti-hero take on a corrupt businessman responsible for his family's tragic deaths.

Cree Summer (She-Hulk)

Cree Summer is the prolific voice actor behind many well-known animated roles, such as Susie Carmichael from Nickelodeon's Rugrats. She was also the second person to voice Bruce Banner's cousin, Jennifer Walters, on the animated Incredible Hulk TV show almost a couple of decades before Tatiana Maslany was cast in the lead role of Disney+'s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

Michael Chiklis (The Thing)

Jamie Bell and Emmy winner Ebon Moss-Bachrach (who also appeared on Jon Bernthal's The Punisher series) both played CGI versions of Ben "The Thing" Grimm in their respective cinematic adaptations of the Fantastic Four comics. However, Michael Chiklis admirably went the old-fashioned route and donned a heavy amount of prosthetics to play the orange, rock-skinned superhero in Tim Story's movies from 2004 and 2007.

Sam Elliott (Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross)

Following William Hurt's passing, Harrison Ford stepped in to play Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross for the MCU in Captain America: Brave New World, in which the military general-turned-U.S. president becomes the Red Hulk. However, you could argue that the most intimidating portrayal of the character is still that of Sam Elliott in 2003's Hulk.

Peter Hooten (Dr. Strange)

With the title's otherworldly, psychedelic imagery, it is not very surprising to learn that Marvel's Doctor Strange comics were first adapted for live-action in the 1970s. CBS attempted to launch a series focused on the Sorcerer Supreme with a pilot led by actor Peter Hooten, who was, of course, succeeded decades later by Benedict Cumberbatch as the MCU's official iteration.

Lisa Rinna (Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine)

While better known today as a star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Lisa Rinna also has the honor of being the first actor to portray Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine in live-action in 1998's Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. In the MCU, the Italian-American noblewoman and CIA director is played by Seinfeld cast member Julia-Louis Dreyfus.

Conan Stevens (Man-Thing)

In 2005, SyFy aired a scary "movie of the week" inspired by the Marvel comic book character Man-Thing, played by Conan Stevens, who is essentially the publisher's equivalent to DC's Swamp Thing. The humanoid plant creature was painted in a far more sympathetic light in the Disney+ original Halloween special, Werewolf by Night, in which he was portrayed in motion capture by Carey Jones.

Ed Asner (J. Jonah Jameson)

Emmy winner Ed Asner's definitive TV role for years was cantankerous journalist Lou Grant on beloved TV sitcom The Mary Tyler Moore Show and the character's more earnest self-titled spin-off. In other words, he was a perfect choice to voice J. Jonah Jameson in Spider-Man: The Animated Series in the 1990s.

Eric Bana (Bruce Banner)

The first live-action, theatrically released feature film adaptation of Marvel's The Incredible Hulk comics, director Ang Lee's Hulk, cast Australian actor Eric Bana as Bruce Banner. The brilliant physicist would later return to the big screen as part of the MCU, first portrayed by Edward Norton in his 2008 solo flick before Mark Ruffalo took over the role in subsequent installments.

Ed Gale (Howard The Duck)

Howard the Duck, one of the most bizarre characters in Marvel Comics' history, exists in the MCU, having first appeared in the post-credit sequence for Guardians of the Galaxy, voiced by Seth Green. The fowl extraterrestrial crimefighter made his feature debut, however, in a self-titled film from producer George Lucas, in which Ed Gale, a little person also known for playing Chucky in Child's Play, wore a duck costume on set while Chip Zien provided the voice.

Ioan Gruffudd (Mr. Fantastic)

Before Pedro Pascal added the MCU to his ongoing list of franchises by playing Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, English actor Ioan Gruffudd played the stretchy superhero otherwise known as Mr. Fantastic in Tim Story's Fantastic Four movies.

Sticky Fingaz (Blade)

Mahershala Ali is actually not Wesley Snipes' direct successor to the role of Blade. Rap artist Sticky Fingaz played the vampire hunter in a short-lived TV series from 2006.

Gwyneth Paltrow knows how to keep people talking, whether it's through her performances or her Goop empire. This time around, though, she has fans chatting over her topless cooking. Paltrow recently posted a playful video of herself cooking in Tuscany, which shows her ditching her shirt while throwing down. The breakfast looks delicious, and I’m obsessed with some of the fan comments, including one from none other than Jennifer Garner.

It seemed as though Paltrow was enjoying the summer weather, as she shared the scenic views of the Italian countryside while she cooked breakfast. While Paltrow has shared cooking posts before, this most recent one felt different and a lot more cheeky. The meal, in question, was something called “Boyfriend Breakfast” which included high protein ingredients like beans, eggs, and sausage. It’s been a devastating month for the Los Angeles community following multiple massive wildfires. Most notably, the Pacific Palisades and Eaton fires led to the loss of thousands of homes and structures each. The situations significantly affected the Hollywood community and even shut down productions. Jennifer Garner has been a resident of the Pacific Palisades community for 25 years and, while her own home survived the fires, she has shared that her family church was a casualty. While it’s been a difficult time for her community, she shared a “moment of light and hope” found in the rubble.

Last month, Jennifer Garner revealed that her church, Community United Methodist Church of Pacific Palisades, burned down in the fire. The actress also unfortunately confirmed that she also lost a friend, who was part of her church community and could not evacuate in time. As the community continues to grieve, Garner shared one bright spot found in the rubble of the structure, which was founded back in 1922. Per her Instagram:

Apparently, Zach Kemper and Ross Chitwood, who both worked at the Community United Methodist Church of Pacific Palisades and lived there, were going through the rubble of the structure. The couple sent Garner the above picture of the gift after it survived a wildfire and was amidst what’s left of the crumbled building.

As a result of what's happened, she's dealing with survivor’s guilt since her own home was not ultimately affected by the fires. While I was holding out hope for the tearjerker that is 28 Summers, Peacock has decided to go in a different direction, and they’ve enlisted the help of Jennifer Garner to boot.

The latest news to come down the book-to-screen adaptation pipeline is that Peacock will be making The Five-Star Weekend TV series. The book is about a woman who loses her husband and needs a weekend away from her grief. So she enlists five women from varying eras of her life to come and spend a weekend with her dining, wining and activity-ing. The book has everything: recipes, drama, secrets, lies, perfect beaches and so much more. Hopefully on the small screen it will soar.

Garner’s not just executive producing either, though she is an EP (as is Hilderbrand herself). She’ll also star in the series as Hollis Shaw, the woman hosting the “five-star weekend” for her gal pals. There’s no word on other casting, but the whole premise of the book is that Ms. Shaw invites a friend from her childhood, her twenties, her thirties, her forties and her present to all spend a weekend together, and I am super enthusiastic to find out what other big names sign on.

I’d assume given the fact Peacock has already full greenlighted the project to series (per Deadline), some interesting names may be coming down the pipeline, and hopefully we'll get details about when it's hitting the TV schedule soon. Once we know a bit more, those with a Peacock subscription should get pumped for the drama and intrigue!

If I were going to choose Elin Hilderbrand books to adapt, The Five Star Weekend would be relatively high on my list. (It's certainly juicer than the aforementioned sweet and sad 28 Summers). As I said before, it wouldn’t be the first book I'd choose, but I’m liking the choice for Garner as an actress and I’m optimistic about the cast fleshing out fully. If you were one of the people who loved The Perfect Couple, you already know the setting will be top-notch, too.

Speaking of Nantucket, the author herself allegedly wrapped on books in that setting with her 2024 novel Swan Song and is apparently working on a YA series with her daughter, but a very large part of me hopes she finds another stretch of beach to write about at some point. In the meantime, it’s nice to see her deliciously devourable novels are finding some love on the small screen. And I'm still holding out quite a bit of hope for The Perfect Couple Season 2.

The marriage of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez is officially over. The divorce was finalized earlier this month, but that doesn’t mean that all connections between the two families have been severed. Ben Affleck’s daughter Violet is still maintaining relationships with JLo’s side of the family, and it’s now being reported that Lopez and Affleck’s other ex-wife Jennifer Garner have also been talking.

During Affleck and Lopez's rekindled relationship and subsequent marriage, we saw lots of pictures of Garner and Lopez spending time together, usually around their kids spending time together. All reports are that JLo’s children and the kids Garner shares with Affleck became quite close. Now US Weekly has an unnamed source claiming Lopez and Garner have become closer and having more personal conversations. The source claims…

Considering the anonymous source, this has to be taken with a grain of salt. On top of that, we’ve also had comments from anonymous sources that claim that Garner and Lopez specifically haven’t been talking and that Garner has been limiting any communication between them. At that point, it was reported Garner was only interested in talking with Lopez if it involved their kids.

It’s certainly possible that the circumstances between the two have changed, and that both sources were correct at the time of their statements. But it's also possible that some of these anonymous sources aren’t entirely accurate. Even if some of them are on the level, it’s hard to know which ones to believe and which to discount.

It certainly wouldn’t be crazy if Jennifer Garner and Jennifer Lopez were relating to each other. They are the only two people in the world who have been married to Ben Affleck, so certainly they have a lot in common. They’ve also now both divorced him and so Garner has been through what Lopez is going through now. Garner was married to Affleck for 10 years and the pair had three children. The two were recently spotted arriving separately at a school play for one of their kids. Certainly, nobody else is going to have quite the same perspective.

Of course, if Jennifer Garner and JLo are talking a lot, that would also put Garner in the middle between the two recent exes, and since Garner and Affleck still have to co-parent, it has the potential to make things between them quite awkward. There are indications that Affleck and Garner’s daughter’s relationship with J. Lo’s family has made things a little complicated for that family unit, and that would certainly be the case here.

Over the course of this week, Los Angeles, California has been devastated by unyielding wildfires spreading throughout the city. Thousands of residents have lost their homes in the fire and had to evacuate due to the continued spread. While a bunch of celebs have moved out of Hollywood in recent years, many stars like Chris Pratt and Mark Hamill still live in the area and have drawn attention to the devastation. Now, Jennifer Garner is also speaking out, drawing attention to her former neighborhood, the Pacific Palisades, which is one of the most ravaged by the fires.

Garner and celebrity chef José Andrés took time to speak to MSNBC journalist Katy Tur about the wildfires and the devastated community. Garner specifically talked about how she lived in the neighborhood for more than 20 years and became a member of the community there. While the three stood amongst the rubble and remains, the actress reflected on how many beautiful memories were created there and the lively place it once was. She said:

These fires have decimated these sacred spaces, and rebuilding is going to have to be a community effort. Firefighters in Los Angeles have been working tirelessly to contain the spread, and celebs like Kevin Smith and Mandy Moore have also used their platforms to provide updates about their homes and highlight the work of the first responders, as Garner does here. Jason Momoa did the same, showcasing the heroism displayed by everyday citizens.

While the 13 Going On 30 actress no longer lives in the Palisades, she did suffer immeasurable loss from the fires. Aside from losing her former neighborhood where she made memories with her family, she also lost a friend who ended up not being able to leave during the spread. The situation is clearly still raw, but it did draw attention to the magnitude of the devastation. She said:

Through stories like this, it's clear that Garner, as well as many others, are grieving this insurmountable loss and a community that will take years to rebuild.

While the Alias star's current home is still standing, as she has since moved, she explained that she still feels heartbroken for her friends and loved ones who have suffered losses. This has prompted her to do what she can to help out, participating in charity drives and using her voice to help garner national attention. She said:

Jennifer Garner has been a longtime advocate for disaster relief efforts and clearly has already stepped up to help. Through her work with organizations like Midnight Mission, who she volunteered with during Thanksgiving, as well as her association with Save the Children, she’s been helping families who’ve lost everything rebuild their lives.

As California continues to grapple with the aftermath of these catastrophic fires, the actress's words are a reminder of the resilience and compassion that communities can foster in the face of adversity.

Ben Affleck’s absence feels like a rubber stamp on the end of their relationship. The two rekindled their romance 20 years after they first dated and got engaged in 2002. This time they made it down the aisle, and got married in 2022. Affleck and Lopez had a public relationship, and the Argo star was featured heavily in many of JLo’s social media posts and was the inspiration for many of her creative projects this year. Saying goodbye to animals is always so hard, especially around the holidays. Unfortunately for Jennifer Garner and her family, they had to do just that with their beloved dog, Birdie. And when it happens, there’s usually a great handful of people to join in on remembering the beloved pet, and Birdie is no exception. The outpouring of love for Garner and her family’s pup has plenty of stars paying tribute and sending their love, including the likes of Jennifer Aniston and Lily Collins.

The 13 Going on 30 star shared on an Instagram post that her beautiful, sweet pooch and well-known cooking contributor, started showing signs of not feeling well last Thursday. The family then discovered the worst, that Birdie was indeed sick and had little time left. Garner said that she’s heard dogs tend to wait until everyone is home to show signs of illness, and thankfully, everyone, seemingly, was able to say goodbye together. It’s really heartwarming to see the support for Garner’s family while they mourn such a monumental loss. I’m glad they have some time together to remember and honor their Birdie all in the same place. If it were me, I would maybe watch some good dog movies as a helpful way to grieve, and eventually, even think about doing my homework and watching some movies that have dogs I’d like to adopt! But for now, it would probably be closer to a marathon of tearjerkers.

It’s been two decades since one of the best rom-coms of all time, 13 Going on 30, graced the big screens, and it still holds up today. Thankfully, that has also meant two decades of friendship for the cast, specifically Jennifer Garner, Judy Greer and Mark Ruffalo. If you were wondering if they are all still close, the Family Switch actress’ recently shared a sweet message to social media that shows her and Greer wishing Ruffalo the happiest of birthdays and my heart is so full with love for this cast.

Fans' favorite frenemies were recently featured together on Garner’s Instagram stories, as they celebrated the Avengers actor turning 57. I love that even 20 years later, this cast is still close. Greer and Garner are actually much better friends than their characters, with the Yes Day actress also never failing to wish her on-screen frenemy a happy birthday as well. But it was great to see them together for Mark Ruffalo’s birthday, and I'm hopeful that it gave him all the feels. It certainly made me smile, and it wasn’t even for me.

Their performance as Adam’s parents in Ryan Reynolds' The Adam Project was just another fine showcase of their great on-screen dynamics as actors.

Their chemistry is just so natural, and anyone who has seen 13 Going on 30 surely knows it's a big reason why the film was so successful. Yes, it took Big’s concept and made it relatable for a new generation. And sure, the “Thriller” scene is iconic, what with the dress and flash mob and all. But Ariana Grande didn’t include the iconic 2000s rom-com in her “Thank You, Next” video because of “Thriller.” It made the cut, because it became a new blueprint for friends to lovers rom-coms, all thanks to the story of Matty and Jenna. All I can say is, thank goodness Mark Ruffalo didn't quit the movie over the Michael Jackson classic.

Not to mention, the film's concept and message still hold up today. What I wouldn’t give to have a glimpse into my future to help me realize what’s important in the long run. That, and the fact that as a kid, all you want is to just be an adult already. As an adult, many would give anything for the simpler days as a kid. I wouldn't be surprised if some teenagers who watched this movie in 2004 are now having that realization, including the now-over-30 young Jenna actress.

Hopefully, we see this trio team up again for a sequel, because I need to know what Jenna and Matty are doing now. Perhaps they even have a 13-year-old of their own… Until then, I'll just appreciate Jennifer Garner and Judy Greer's birthday tribute to Mark Ruffalo. On that note, an insider provided claims on how often Lopez and Garner now chat following the divorce.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck had three children together, who currently between the ages of 18 and 12. Via reports, the three kids got close to Jennifer Lopez during her rekindled relationship with Affleck and also got close to Lopez’s own children. (That apparently created a concern after the divorce filing.) For that reason, Jennifer Garner herself seemed to get close to Lopez. However, an unnamed insider who reportedly knows Garner tells the DailyMail that while the kids' relationships with Lopez may continue, hers will not. The alleged friend stated…

Over the summer when rumors of difficulties between Affleck and Lopez were making the rounds, it was also reported that Jennifer Garner was spending more time with her ex-husband. Based on the statement from the anonymous person, it sounds like the purpose of those visits may have been to try and help fix things between the couple.

The 13 Going on 30 star was frequently seen with Bennifer during their relationship. She even took one of her kids, and one of JLo’s kids to Disneyland together. So it would seem that she was certainly not against building her own relationship with her ex-husband’s new family, including the singer/actress. Garner and Affleck have kids and thus she’ll always be involved with her ex’s family, whatever that means.

Reportedly, JLo and Jennifer Garner's 18-year-old daughter are still close. Garner is apparently letting her adult daughter make her own decisions in that regard but, if Lopez wanted to spend time with the other children, as she did when she and Affleck were together, it would theoretically need to go through Garner.

Still, now that the split is official, it seems Garner is looking to keep her distance from Jennifer Lopez. Of course, it should be mentioned that the sentiments shared by the insider should be taken with a grain of salt right now, as none of the parties have formally provided comment. Nevertheless, if Garner really is seeking to keep her distance from her ex-husband's estranged wife right now, then it would be understandable, considering the circumstances. Hopefully, everyone involved is able to move forward as they see fit.

Rebecca Ferguson may be known for doing kick-ass fight sequences in the Mission: Impossible and Dune movies, but she does have her personal fears. One interesting fact about the Swedish actress is that she refuses to use elevators due to her claustrophobia. Well, she wouldn’t have a pleasant experience getting stuck in one like Jennifer Garner did at Comic-Con. And, to be honest, I feel for her.

It was during a Deadpool & Wolverine fan screening at San Diego Comic-Con that Jennifer Garner, who cameoed in D&W as Elektra, found herself ensnared in an elevator mishap. However, the Alias actress wasn’t exactly suffering in that closed space, despite being trapped in there for over an hour. Wasn’t she so cute? the 13 Going on 30 star handled getting stuck in an elevator way better than I would have. She was laughing, singing “99 Bottles of Beer” and bringing positive vibes to everyone else in the trapped elevator. I give the Golden Globe winner a lot of credit for keeping her cool in that situation.

If Rebecca Ferguson was in that same scenario, I don’t think she’d have been quite as calm as Jennifer Garner was. It’s incredibly ironic that a member of the cast of the sci-fi TV show Silo -- which about a community living in a giant silo -- that is claustrophobic in real life. But it’s like she once told Variety, she’s not freaked out filming the Apple TV+ series since she knows it’s a set and is very aware of the exits.

During an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Rebecca Ferguson got real about her issues with claustrophobia, including how for one project, she had to wear a life cast for a project to fit prosthetics which involved thick layers of gel and latex over her head. This sent her into a panic, at which point she tried desperately to take it off before the casting begin. However, the Dune actress also spoke about how being an A-lister helps with her claustrophobia:

There you go! After all, why subject yourself to small spaces if you don’t have to? Rebecca Ferguson’s celebrity status certainly helped her out during the filming of The Greatest Showman. During a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, the Doctor Sleep actress had no plans to take an elevator to the top of the skyscraper to participate. Here’s how Ferguson took part in the tree-lighting event without having to risk being in a small space:

That must have been perfect for Rebecca Ferguson. If she can’t get to the switch, the switch will come to her. It’s better than not being able to participate in something fun because of a fear you can’t shake off. I’d be the same way, in that I wouldn't risk my comfort levels if I know it’ll send me into a panic.

It's safe to say that Jennifer Garner and Rebecca Ferguson handle elevators differently but, of course, to each their own. What works for one person may not work for another, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.
