And smart money says that whenever she does end up dating someone, it's going to essentially break the internet. Between her music and movie careers, Jennifer Lopez never seems to stop working. She always appears to be jumping to the next project, and I never understood how she managed to juggle everything. It’s easy to watch movies and never think about the time and work put into them. But hearing Lopez open up about how she once worked "98 days in a row" to the point she was burnt out so badly that she was taken to the hospital is both refreshing and eye-opening.

JLo's medical situation occurred when she was filming the thriller flick Enough, which is considered one of Lopez's best movies and is about a woman trying to escape her abusive husband. When Lopez talked about the experience on the SmartLess podcast, she told co-hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett (her Monster-in-Law co-star) that up to that point, she'd done about four movies and was also working on one of her biggest albums. Based on the multi-hyphenate's recollection, it wasn't fun:

Just the thought of doing so much work in such a massive stretch of time is daunting. It's true that stars like actors and singers do have many obligations and can book quite a few gigs. Still, even they're not immune to feeling fatigue like the rest of us. Lopez explained that the uneasy feeling apparently hit her so hard that she could even feel it when she was filming a scene with Tessa Allen, who played her daughter in the film. The "Jenny from the Block" singer detailed the exact moment she knew something wasn't right and how Allen responded:

Lopez is incredibly fortunate not to have lost her sight and that she eventually bounced back. The fact that she even shared this story humanizes her even more and provides a unique perspective on her work. Now, I would hope that the artist hasn't had any similar experiences since then.

That's not to say that the artist hasn't been booked and busy these days, though. More recently, she was promoting her latest movie, Office Romance, which became the No. 1 movie on Netflix and is one of the streamer's prime 2026 releases for this summer.

From the outside looking in, it seems Jennifer Lopez has a solid grasp on balancing her professional and personal lives even as she continues to make headlines. Since her divorce from Ben Affleck was finalized, she's moved into a new house, celebrated her twins’ graduation and even rooted on her NBA champion New York Knicks. You know what I did directly after watching Office Romance? I clicked off the credits and went directly to another Jennifer Lopez classic. That’s right, I’m talking about The Wedding Planner. That’s the 2001 Matthew McConaughey and JLo charmer in which the former plays a pediatrician who claims to only eat brown M&Ms, feeling they are less fake than the colored ones. That memorable conversation aside, the movie is adorable fluff, but it’s exactly the type of double feature I would have thought Netflix users would be into.

I honestly thought my impulse would be the same one other Office Romance viewers would have, but the numbers are not as staggering as I would have thought.

Netflix’s Top Movie Right Now Is Office Romance

I am not remotely surprised to see Office Romance is the No. 1 movie on Netflix’s 2026 schedule right now. I do think Goldstein was smart to sign on Lopez for this type of throwback-feeling flick. There is an appetite for rom-coms right now, as well as an appetite for nostalgia, and a romance featuring the actress offers both.

Office Romance reviews rightly noted the two’s chemistry was not the best part of the movie as a whole, and I personally found the comedy to be a little too awkward in moments, but a lot of people love some of the absurd plotlines. Plus, Brett Goldstein and Jennifer Lopez are a good fit and I’m overall happy with the quality of the new Netflix rom-com. Lots of people are into it too, as it's hung out in that top slot on Netflix all week, marking a resurgence of interest in Lopez doing this sort of work.

We Know A Lot Of People Are Watching JLo’s New Movie, So What About The Wedding Planner?

Netflix doesn’t give full viewership data on every single thing it has available on the streaming platform. So, while I can confirm The Wedding Planner is on Netflix, having watched it, the only other thing I can confirm is it did not make Netflix’s Top 10 this week. I watched the list like a hawk just in case. I even checked parameters, like switching the Top 10 to just US viewership.

We typically see this over and over again. If a big show like Bridgerton or Stranger Things premieres a new season, we often will see prior seasons also hitting the Top 10 list. We also see pops all the time with non-original Netflix fare. For example, at the beginning of the month, the Creed movies with Michael B. Jordan all hit the streaming service, and Creed and Creed III keep showing up in the US Top 10. (I have no idea what this says about Creed II).

I wasn’t expecting everyone to spiral down a rabbit hole of some of the best rom-coms after checking out Office Romance, but it has been a while since Lopez starred in a really solid romantic comedy, despite her being the queen of them in the early aughts. When you look at Netflix’s Lopez offerings, it’s Office Romance, The Wedding Planner, Marry Me, and then some non-romance movies like The Mother and Enough. Marry Me came out more recently and doesn't have the same feel, in my opinion, as some of the more classic JLo fare, so I really just figured if a movie was going to see a boost, it would have been The Wedding Planner.

What has doubtless happened is people watched Office Romance and then moved on to completely different properties (like the aforementioned Creed). I still have to say, if you have not watched The Wedding Planner in a while, give it a whirl. It’s not as perfect as Maid in Manhattan (which Lopez recently name-dropped), but it still holds up. All you need for the perfect watch is some brown M&Ms.

I didn’t know what to expect with Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein’s romantic comedy. I just trust Goldstein to write a charming comedy, and I have complete faith in Lopez’s ability to sell a romantic comedy. She’s a master at it. I knew the chemistry between them would be electric. Nonetheless, many of the recent romantic comedies haven’t impressed me, so I went into Office Romance with low expectations.

However, I found myself delighted, especially because it isn’t the traditional romantic comedy. It’s absurd in so many ways, but I think screenwriters Brett Goldstein and Joe Kelly deciding to make a non-traditional romantic film actually makes it fit well into the genre.

Office Romance Understands That Rom-Coms Should Be Silly And Funny

I can see why Office Romance would divide critics, and more importantly, divide romantic comedy lovers. It’s a lot more raunchy, wacky, and bold than many romantic comedies. You can tell men wrote this one, but I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing. Maybe it's just my taste for stupid humor, but I found so much of Office Romance hilarious. As much as I love the romantic comedy genre, not many movies are that funny.

They’re cute and sweet, but they aren’t the funniest comedies I have seen. There is always an exception because some movies are comedies first, and romance second. Office Romance, I believe, puts both aspects first. It’s very funny while also understanding that you want to be invested in these two people falling in love. I cared a lot about whether Daniel (Brett Goldstein) and Jackie (Jennifer Lopez) ended up together.

It also didn’t feel like a romantic comedy parody. It felt like a movie genuinely wanting to be funny and have an enticing romance at its center. Other romantic comedies don’t have to go as bold as to have a way-too-graphic birthing scene, but these films should find ways to put humor and comedy more at the forefront.

Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein Don’t Just Have Electric Chemistry, They’re Hot Together

Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein are very hot people. They’re very attractive as individuals, so naturally, it was obvious that they were hot as a pair. Office Romance proves this theory, however, I think their hotness demonstrates a fundamental rule about romantic comedies: The couple has to be attractive together. This doesn’t necessarily mean that they both have to fit the “beauty standards.” This means the chemistry has to be so electric that you would lose it if they don’t end up together.

Some of the best romantic comedies of all-time aren’t necessarily about the hottest actors falling in love. It’s about their chemistry being so good that you need them together by the end. Lopez and Goldstein are masters of chemistry with their on-screen partners.

Therefore, Office Romance is like watching two experts at a craft finally meet someone who is their equal. Now, Lopez and Goldstein don’t have the best chemistry I have ever seen on screen or from them, but they do a good enough job to sell the fantasy and make us want to see more of them together. I would gladly add this pair to the list of performers I want to see work together again. I would also gladly watch Lopez and Goldstein have a trilogy of romantic comedies.

The Barriers Keeping Them Apart Were Fixable But Not Unrealistic

We see many office romances on TV and in movies. It makes them seem like the norm and mainly without taboos. However, there are a few movies and TV shows that reflect the reality that it could be some major issues if people date their coworkers. It’s even more troublesome if they date their boss. It’s believable that Jackie’s company wouldn’t want office romances. Office Romance then adds some additional barriers to why they can’t cross these lines.

This includes Jackie needing to prove herself as a boss, and the potential of hurting Daniel’s opportunity to stay around to help his sister. These are serious dilemmas with possible major repercussions for their lives and careers.

However, these are not life or death obstacles. They can talk to the company about changing the policy, or, since Jackie is the boss, she can demand it be changed. It’s really a small barrier, but something you can understand as a problem. Most romantic comedies have sensible barriers, but a few either go too out there on why characters can’t be together, or the problem seems almost nonexistent. Romantic movies need understandable and believable things that keep the main characters apart.

Office Romance makes sure the problem is an actual problem, and not something so silly that you stop caring about whether they can get around it.

Office Romance Had A Giddiness To It That Makes It Sweet And Innocent

Romance and love are ridiculous, but they also come with an innocence, in a way. Love in general is a bit of a wholesome endeavor. People enter a relationship, romance, or a love story with the hope that it will beat the odds and work out. Love can age you backwards. It can turn a 60-year-old into a hormonal teen.

A great romantic comedy should reflect the playful youthfulness of love. These fully developed adults should start to act unreasonably and immaturely, and follow the bliss more than reason. Many love stories and romance movies showcase the teeny bopper behavior of falling in love at any age. However, sometimes romantic comedies take themselves too seriously.

Love should feel fun and frivolous. This is how it feels with Daniel and Jackie’s romance in Office Romance. They begin acting like teens. It adds a sweet and innocent layer to the film and showcases how much they like each other. They go back to the primal nature of a teen in love, despite their age and maturity levels.

It Understands The Art Of A Big Gesture

If a romance comedy doesn’t end in a big declaration of love, keep it. I need someone running to tell the other person how much they adore them. I need a major speech that highlights why these two characters belong together. It’s a cliche act in a romantic comedy, but it should be standard.

Romance movies just feel better with that hopelessly romantic final declaration scene. Office Romance doesn’t have the best version of this moment, but it still works. The movie reminds me why I love romantic comedies so much, and it makes the Netflix subscription worth the ridiculous price.

So it was absolutely no surprise that one of her latest Office Romance press appearances featured an outfit worthy of my obsession. I do, however, have to question whether it was the right look for the season, because it honestly seems too dang hot!

Office Romance has been hanging out in Netflix movies' No. 1 spot since its release, despite tepid reviews that said the supporting cast outshone the leading couple. One thing about the rom-com that has not been tepid is JLo’s press tour wardrobe, including a daring three-strap dress and the chic, long-sleeved look below:

The thing is, Goldstein typically records the podcast in the UK, where he’s from, and over the past few weeks, the area has been seeing record-high temperatures.

In May, the heat rose to 35.1 degrees Celsius in some areas (around 95 degrees Fahrenheit), however, they are more accustomed to highs in the 50s and 60s (Fahrenheit) at this time of year.

Suffice it to say, a long-sleeved ensemble might not have been my first choice for a trip across the pond, especially in the way the jumper goes all the way up to a buttoned collar on her neck. JLo’s got me pulling on my own neckline just thinking about her trying to breathe in that thing.

Oxygen or no oxygen, though, Jennifer Lopez looks drop-dead gorgeous in the patterned minidress. It’s giving Clueless vibes, with many of the most iconic ‘90s looks from that movie featuring long sleeves and short skirts. Instead of knee socks or stockings, however, JLo went with knee-high black boots with a tall platform heel that accentuated her long, trim legs.

While the stunning black-and-white ensemble might have been more appropriate for fall, I’m just going to assume Brett Goldstein had the air conditioner blasting at the studio that day, because outside temperatures aside, you just know he was sweating over the opportunity to have Jennifer Lopez on his podcast.

Longtime fans of the Ted Lasso actor know that he’s had a crush on JLo for years and is a huge fan of her movies. What’s more, he and Joe Kelly wrote the Office Romance script with Jennifer Lopez in mind and even said they’d scrap the whole thing if she wouldn’t sign on.

So even though by this point they’ve starred in the movie together — and had quite the “flirty energy” on set — actually having her on the podcast was undoubtedly a banner moment for the actor.

Those with a Netflix subscription were recently treated to a new addition: Ol Parker's Office Romance, which also stars (and was written by) Ted Lasso actor Brett Goldstein. The movie is a blast that hits plenty of rom-com tropes, although I think there was one missed opportunity that I kept hoping for throughout its 115-minute runtime.

Only time will tell if Office Romance ends up being ranked among JLo's best rom-coms, but her chemistry with Goldstein was killer. The movie is chock-full of recognizable actors including Betty Gilpin, Amy Sedaris, Bradley Whitford, Tony Hale, and so much more. It even includes a number of Broadway legends. And given all these musical talent involved in the ensemble cast, I think that the Netflix movie should have included a musical number.

Office Romance Totally Should Have Had A Musical Number

Aside from being endlessly charismatic on screen, Jennifer Lopez is known for singing and dancing talents as a recording artist, as well as in musical projects like the Kiss of the Spider Woman movie. And while she's been in loads of romantic comedies, none of them have included a random musical number. Plenty of titles have used this trope including My Best Friend's Wedding, Isn't it Romantic?, Forgetting Sarah Marshall and The 40-Year-Old Virgin.

While I would have loved to see JLo show off her immense musical talent in Office Romance, the movie had a number of Broadway legends in the cast that also could have helped make this happen. Namely Tony winner Roger Bart who played the villainous William Butten, Tony winner Ali Stroker who played AirCruz employee Maggie, and Tony-nominated icon Norm Lewis who was Richard Howell. Clearly the movie was shot in the New York area.

Office Romance's trailer didn't give any hint of a musical sequence, but I was shocked by how many Broadway legends kept popping up throughout its brief runtime. And with JLo at the center, I think it would have been awesome to see this star-studded ensemble do a song and dance number in the middle of the movie. Seriously, this is a missed opportunity for my theater kid heart!

Did Office Romance NEED a musical number? Maybe not, but plenty of rom-coms have surprised audiences with some singing and dancing over the years. And considering just how much of the cast has those talents, especially the incomparable Jennifer Lopez, I'm sure I wouldn't have been the only one delighted if actors started belting out some tunes.

Its plunging neckline and flowy nature made it absolutely stunning; however, it also left me with questions about how it wasn’t falling off her body. Those same questions resurfaced when that dress got recreated for a moment in the 2026 TV schedule hit, Off Campus. Now, the costume designer for the hockey romance has spilled the tea on how exactly that incredible dress stays in place.

So, in the book-to-screen adaptation of Elle Kennedy’s Off Campus books, Allie and Dean share a jaw-dropping moment on the dance floor, as they dance to “On the Floor” by Jennifer Lopez while she’s wearing a JLo costume. While the moment felt effortless on screen and propelled Dean and Allie’s relationship forward, I couldn’t help but wonder how they logistically pulled it off behind the scenes, considering how gravity-defying that dress is. Well, costume designer, Charlene Akuamoah, told Page Six how they did it, explaining:

Well, that tape worked its magic because that dress did not move one bit during that steamy Episode 2 moment (which you can watch with an Amazon Prime subscription). By using Booby Tape, they didn’t have to worry about the dress moving, and it provided push-up without a bra.

It helped this moment be perfect too, which is what Akuamoah was striving for. She explained that when she read the moment between Allie and Dean in the script, she knew she had to ace the recreation of this iconic JLo dress. To that point, she said:

Clearly, she knew how to slay this assignment too, because not only did the dress stay on Mika Abdalla, it also helped create one of the most viral moments in this sexually explicit Amazon Prime project. Even JLo showed her love for this scene, and she’s spoken very highly about both Abdalla’s performance and the spike in popularity it’s caused for the song “On the Floor.” This reaction wasn’t something the designer saw coming, as she said:

Honestly, iconic almost feels like an understatement. The dress, the dance and the relationship highlighted during the scene have all caused a frenzy online that’s only added to the very exciting discourse surrounding Off Campus.

Now, Dean and Allie are set to lead Season 2, and I can’t wait to see what great looks are featured. Hopefully, we get some more callbacks to legendary pop culture fashion moments, like JLo’s dress. However, no matter what, I’m sure they’ll kill it. And if they’re given a costume assignment that seems to defy gravity, I’m positive they’ll figure out how to keep it on and support the actor wearing it.

While promoting the new title, the "Let's Get Loud" singer opened up about her past marriages, and where she finds "joy" in her life nowadays.

In August of 2024 Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck, after a reunion and marriage that broke the internet. With Office Romance now streaming on Netflix, some folks are finding connections between that rom-com and her real-life history. While speaking with The New York Times, she was asked about her version of "happy ever after". JLo responded, saying:

This sounds like a healthy perspective, and one that's relatable for many of us who have been through breakups before. Of course, the way the public is invested in Jennifer Lopez's personal life is something less relatable that would probably overwhelm us non-celebs.

It remains to be seen if Office Romance ends up being one of Jennifer Lopez's best rom-coms, but it's currently trending on Netflix. Her generations of fans will likely be invested in her comments, and she spoke more about her current state of happiness by saying:

JLo has been joking about her love life during her Las Vegas residency, and this is yet another example of the 56 year-old icon opening up about her private life. It sounds like she's in a god place, and her comments about having a romance with herself is a lesson that fans might need to hear. Because while she's an A-lister who has been famous for a long time, this is a message that we civilians could also take to heart.

It's heartening to see that Lopez is in such a good place, and it should be interesting to see how that translates to her future acting projects. She's attached to a number of other movies outside of hew new Netflix flick.

There’s nothing like an unexpected and graphic birth scene to really wake you up on a bright and sunny Saturday morning. I found this out the hard way this weekend, when I put on Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein’s intentionally awkward new Netflix release Office Romance, and was confronted with a prosthetic vagina about three fourths of the way through the film. Yes, the movie really included it as one of its many unexpected storylines.

No, Jennifer Lopez Is Not Involved In The Graphic Birth Scene

While the "flirty" JLo and Brett Goldstein do seem to be playing characters of similar ages in Office Romance, meaning she’s seemingly playing a little younger, the only character having a baby in this movie is Betty Gilpin’s Sydney Bloom. It’s a recurring joke in the movie that Sydney is heavily pregnant and should have already gone on maternity leave, but she’s just way too dedicated to the job.

So dedicated, in fact, that while she’s chewing out Goldstein’s Daniel Branchflower (excellent character name I might add), her water breaks. No big deal, I’ve seen this a million times in movies. But then she ultimately has the baby in the office, and it is shown onscreen with no punches pulled.

I honestly thought the whole thing was CGI, but then Gilpin told Variety it was an entire production involving an animatronic baby and a puppeteer, which somehow makes the whole thing even wilder.

I want to believe in the beauty of birth, but the scene's cringe-inducing given the context of when the birth scene happens, how she’s having the baby in front of coworkers, and how much the audience sees. I also just would like to point out that I didn’t go into Office Romance thinking, “Oh boy, I hope I’m confronted with the joys of populating the Earth” today. I thought I was going to get Lopez and Goldstein making out on the beach somewhere. I, in fact, did get that; this was just a bonus.

Gilpin went on to reveal that originally the scene went even harder before the final draft hit the movie release schedule. The creatives had planned to show her birthing the placenta after the baby came out. She apparently shot this over and over, but it didn’t make the final product.

I'm not really sorry to hear it. Listen, even Gilpin was “freaked out” by having to film with the prosthetic vagina. Thank goodness for great rom-com actress Jennifer Lopez. The actress said it was her co-star who ultimately made her feel comfortable about going with the flow on set.

I’m sure there are millions of families out there who have gone through childbirth that will find this scene to be a blip in the movie, and possibly a very funny moment. It does lead to one of the funnier whisper fight moments in the movie, as we pointed out in our Office Romance review roundup.

Yet something about the way the scene is shot and how much we are shown combined with the context of this just being a random rom-com had me fully shook up. It’s certainly something people will be talking about.

Yes, Office Romance puts the rom in rom-com. Brett Goldstein and Jennifer Lopez’s chemistry is wonderful. However, I’d argue this movie, which was co-written by Goldstein and Joe Kelly, actually goes harder in the com department. Seriously, his film on Netflix’s 2026 schedule features three absurd storylines that are absolutely hilarious, and I can't deny that they totally made the movie for me.

When I say absurd, I mean there were multiple plot points in this film that went far beyond anything I could have ever imagined, and they were both wildly creative and delightfully unhinged. Ultimately, they helped keep me on my toes as the primary romance between JLo’s Jackie and Goldstein’s Daniel unfolded, and they’re also what made me appreciate this film so much.

Sydney’s Relentless Pursuit To Figure Out What’s Going On Between Jackie And Daniel

As reviews for Office Romance pointed out, Betty Gilpin’s performance as Jacki's second-in-command, Sydney, is undeniably funny. In fact, I think she steals the show. From the jump, she’s suspicious of Jackie and Daniel’s relationship, and the GLOW actress played that all out with an over-the-top passion that made me laugh out loud numerous times.

Plus, Sydney was very pregnant as all this was going down. However, she wouldn't let that get in her way, as she went into labor at the office and literally refused to push her baby out until she got a confession out of Daniel and Jackie.

All in all, Betty Gilpin gave a loud, unapologetic and truly hilarious performance that both emphasized how wild Sydney’s story was and served as the biggest highlight of the movie overall.

Peter Vance Going From Being A Lawyer To Working At A Food Truck

Bradley Whitford’s Peter Vance was making me laugh early in the movie after he choked on a breakfast burrito and drove his scooter haphazardly through the office. However, what really turned his story into an absurdly amusing one came later when it was revealed that he started working at a food truck after he left the airline company. And it’s important to note that he literally just works there; he does not own it; he “lives in service now.” He makes breakfast burritos with love and has “found [his] true calling.”

I was so happy for him, and I loved how his story came back around full circle right when Jackie needed him for some advice. It was a silly and surprisingly wholesome way to conclude his arc, and it helped drive the central romance forward.

Daniel’s Sister Is A Murderer

Literally, the whole reason Daniel goes to the US is to help his sister Lizzy (Jodie Whittaker) after she “chopped a guy’s head off with a machete” and was arrested. When I saw the trailer for Office Romance and wondered why an American airline company had a British man on their staff of lawyers, I did not think “because his sister was in prison for killing a man across the pond” would be the answer to my question.

However, I’m delighted it was. It was such a wild twist for this film to add, and I loved that Whittaker played Lizzy in such an unapologetically chaotic yet lovable way.

I also enjoyed how this all played into the greater romance, seeing as Daniel keeping Lizzy a secret from Jackie prompted them to break up (more so because Daniel was keeping secrets, not because Lizzy was a criminal). So, this additional storyline in this project on the 2026 movie schedule both added to our primary romance and provided a shocking backstory about our leading man and his criminal sister.

Absurd is genuinely the best word I can think of to describe the various subplots in Office Romance, and the movie is so much better because of them. They add unexpected and hilarious layers to an already nice rom-com, and as I said earlier, they really help put the com in rom-com in a way I really, really appreciate.

Jennifer Lopez has done some great rom-coms in her career, and the fact that Brett Goldstein wrote Office Romance with her specifically in mind has had fans excited about this one for over a year. It definitely hasn’t hurt buzz for the movie that the Ted Lasso actor had a real-life crush on JLo or that there were reports of the on-set “flirt fest” between the two stars. Thankfully, we don’t have to wait any longer, because the movie hit the 2026 Netflix schedule on June 5, and I’m actually surprised at what critics are saying.

Office Romance sees Jennifer Lopez’s Jackie Cruz become involved with Brett Goldstein’s Daniel Blanchflower, who works for her. The two engage in a secret relationship that obviously doesn’t stay a secret. The couple’s chemistry is “electric” in the trailer, but CinemaBlend’s Riley Utley saw the movie and had a different take on the best part, saying:

Ema Sasic of Next Best Picture confirms as much, saying “the real fun lies in a never-ending funhouse of delightfully unhinged supporting actors.” They’re likely the ones that earned a 7/10 rating from this critic, because Sasic expresses some disappointment in the romantic plot. It’s nothing we haven’t seen before, she says, either in the rom-com genre or from either of the lead actors. The critic continues:

Guy Lodge of Variety says Jennifer Lopez glows as the romantic comedy’s leading lady in what is ultimately a flick “just peculiar enough to be memorable.” The plot plays out exactly according to the formula, Lodge says, but the movie is “aggressively stolen by Betty Gilpin.” More from his Office Romance review:

David Ehrlich of IndieWire gives it a B-, writing that Office Romance would be as formulaic as it gets if not for “its admirably deep bench of deranged supporting characters.” The Netflix movie overall lacks the charm, wit or chemistry needed to spark much interest — the critic says, even as he admits it contains a little of all three — but any movie with Betty Gilpin is worth our time. Ehrlich continues:

Johnny Oleksinski of the New York Post gives it 1.5 stars out of 4, writing that amongst Office Romance’s many sins is how it wastes so many recognizable stars. However, this critic agrees that Betty Gilpin is the standout. Of Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein, Oleksinski says:

Perhaps Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein’s flirty energy is backfiring on them now that Office Romance has hit the 2026 movie release schedule, because while things definitely get steamy, nobody seems to be adding anything unexpected to the romantic comedy genre. Except Betty Gilpin. Every review that I read mentioned her as a highlight of the movie. If you want to check this movie out, Office Romance is available to stream now with a Netflix subscription.

Jennifer Lopez is a global superstar and multihyphenate who has a thriving career as both a recording artist and actress. JLo is known for her romantic comedies, and those with a Netflix subscription will soon be treated to Office Romance, which she stars in opposite Ted Lasso actor Brett Goldstein. The trailer for Office Romance showed how great JLO's chemistry with Brett Goldstein is in the forthcoming rom-com, and one can only imagine how many iconic fashion moments she'll bring to the screen while playing Jackie Cruz. Unfortunately, I do think that the trailer might have revealed a bit too much of the upcoming romantic comedy's contents. We'll just have to wait and see if the Netflix flick packs some surprises when it's released on the streaming service in early June.

Somehow, I never realized that some of Jennifer Lopez’s best rom-coms, like Maid in Manhattan and The Wedding Planner, have a trope in common. However, JLo’s newest co-star, Brett Goldstein, has noticed this commonality, and I’m thrilled that he chose not to go along with it for their project on Netflix’s 2026 schedule, Office Romance.

The trope in question is the fact that JLo’s characters are often people who aren’t of high social or financial status who are aspiring to something bigger. Brett Goldstein aptly pointed this out during his interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers, saying:

Now that I think about it, he’s totally right. As the title implies, Maid in Manhattan centers around a maid played by JLo who runs into a rising politician at a fancy hotel. He assumes she’s a guest, and the film unfolds from there.

In The Wedding Planner, Lopez plays a woman who is trying really hard to work up to a new position at her company. After she’s saved from an accident, she realizes the man who saved her (whom she’s crushing on) is her client’s fiancé. So, while she’s not necessarily “low status,” she’s certainly “aspiring to something” in this one.

The 2018 movie Second Act, which you can stream with a Hulu subscription, sees Lopez play a retail worker who jumps at the opportunity to reinvent herself in a very high-powered job.

So, even though all her rom-coms don’t use this trope, quite a few of them do, which creates a bit of a trend. However, Office Romance has not followed it. In this rom-com, which you’ll be able to stream with a Netflix subscription on June 5, JLo plays Jackie Cruz, the CEO and president of Air Cruz.

As the trailer for Office Romance shows, Lopez’s character is an absolute boss, and she lives a life of luxury. There’s no working up to a new position or a rags-to-riches tale here; she’s simply rich and wildly successful.

Then, the romance centers around her character and a lawyer who is played by Brett Goldstein falling for each other as they work together, hence the title, Office Romance.

While this film does have familiar elements that we know and love in JLo rom-coms, like an ensemble cast, it’s also quite different from the ones she’s best known for. And I love that Goldstein, who wrote this part specifically for Jennifer Lopez, made this intentional choice.

Now, to see this new rom-com from Jennifer Lopez that is quite different from the ones we know and love her for, you can stream Office Romance on Netflix on Friday, June 5. In the meantime, I’ll be going back to some of her classics, because while I love that this new movie doesn’t follow the trope Goldstein pointed out, it is a great trope nonetheless that I love to watch JLo play.

The 2026 Netflix release sees Lopez playing a CEO whose anti-fraternization office policy gets tested once she starts to fall for a sexy new lawyer (played by Goldstein) who starts working with her. In real life, some romance rumors have swirled around the two co-stars in recent months, but how legitimate is the "flirty" dynamic they seem to have? An insider is now weighing in on that.

Last month, an inside source made claims there was an alleged on-set “flirt fest” between JLo and Brett Goldstein. Per those sources, the Ted Lasso star allegedly “fawns” over the “Jenny From the Block” singer, and Lopez, in turn, is apparently “loving the attention.” According to People’s insider, the actress/singer “had a great time filming” with her British leading man, but those who might be shipping the two actors may want to temper their expectations a bit. The source explained:

After Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s divorce was finalized last year, the Enough actress got real about not “dating up a storm.” To that point, Lopez has apparently been sticking to her guns and committing to the single life. Anyone but You co-stars Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney were famously in that same boat after Powell and his girlfriend broke up around the time rumors were circulating that he and Sweeney were dating. However, the Top Gun: Maverick star admitted he and Sweeney leaned into the affair rumors to better promote their rom-com.

Similar rumors cropped up with A Star Was Born co-stars Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. Around that time, it was reported that Cooper and his girlfriend broke up after he and the “LoveGame” singer’s steamy duet at the Oscars. However, Lady Gaga’s hilariously explained, that live performance was orchestrated in such a way for audiences to buy into their chemistry so they can believe in the love story of their movie and their Academy Award-winning song “Shallow.”

As for how Brett Goldstein feels about being at the center of romance rumors involving JLo, he's admitted to being quite flattered by them. That's definitely understandable, as such reports would speak volumes to Goldstein and Lopez's ability to sell their chemistry while promoting their film.

So it would seem Lopez/Goldstein shippers shouldn't expect the two to become an item. At the very least, though, their flirty banter is contributing to what's been an entertaining press tour thus far. Lopez has been turning the page on her life as of late, as she recently moved out of the home she and Affleck shared and is living in her “very own Barbie dreamhouse.” When she was on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week, she said this about her single era:

Lopez hasn’t gone too long without being in a relationship for much of her life, but these days she’s not seeking out a partnership. Kimmel suggested she be the next The Bachelorette, but she scoffed at the idea, saying this about finding love again:

It sounds like JLo has a good mindset about dating going forward. She’s not rushing into anything, or feeling like she needs a relationship but is open to finding love again if the other person is “good enough” for her. You go girl!

The Ex That's Allegedly Reaching Out

Amidst Jennifer Lopez’s comments about being single, scooper Rob Shuter also reported this week that one of the 56-year-old’s exes, retired baseball player Alex Rodriguez, has tried to get back into contact with her after his own recent breakup. Rodriguez was dating internet personality Jaclyn Cordeiro for more than three years, but they recently split up. According to one “insider”:

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez dated from 2017 to 2021. The couple was engaged back in 2019 and ended up postponing their planned destination wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic before ultimately splitting up. Apparently, Rodriguez tried to reconnect with JLo in order to “rebuild at least some form of connection.” Per one source:

It wasn’t long after JLo and Rodriguez’s split that she reconnected with Ben Affleck, perhaps completely severing any contact she and Alex Rodriguez might have had post-breakup. But now that they both find themselves single, it certainly sounds like a more convenient time for both of the celebrities to talk again, should these reports be true. But if the baseball player is hoping for another shot with Lopez, it doesn’t sound like the kind of thing she’s entertaining right now.

When the topic of her new movie's amazing supporting cast came up, she couldn’t resist bringing up Maid in Manhattan. So, between that and the classic rom-com energy she teased, I’m totally signing up to watch this flick on Netflix's 2026 schedule.

Lopez broke down what fans can expect from this new rom-com during an interview with SiriusXM. Obviously, she spent time talking about her chemistry with co-star Brett Goldstein. Fans have already spotted the electric chemistry between the two in the Office Romance trailer. However, as a long-time JLo fan, I'm especially excited about the Maid in Manhattan comparison. She said:

Who didn’t watch that movie over and over? The chemistry between JLo and Ralph Fiennes was undeniable. The Cinderella trope? What a classic. And this was before it was done a hundred times. Plus, the cherry on top was that the bond between everyone in the cast was exceptional. It starred Stanley Tucci, Natasha Richardson, and even a baby Tyler Posey before he was a teenage werewolf.

Meanwhile, in Office Romance, the ensemble cast includes Betty Gilpin, Amy Sedaris, Tony Hale, Bradley Whitford and more. So, much like Maid in Manhattan, it sounds like JLo and Goldstein will be surrounded by an incredible cast of performers.

Lopez continued by gushing about Brett Goldstein, too, who actually wrote the script for Office Romance with Joe Kelly. This isn’t the first time she has openly fanned out over her costar, either, having previously gone on about how he’s the best kisser. There’s been so much gushing that rumors are swirling about an on-set ‘flirt fest’ between the costars.

When JLo was sent the script, it was an easy yes for her, and her producing partner, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas. They instantly loved the humor of the film. It’s a good thing, too, as the rom-com was only happening on one big condition. Lopez explained:

If she hadn't said yes, who knows how long fans would have had to wait for another Jennifer Lopez romantic comedy? After all, her last movies in this genre were the 2022 rom-com Marry Me, which also starred Owen Wilson, and Shotgun Wedding, which came out the same year and starred Josh Duhamel. So, it's about time she returns to rom-coms.

Speaking about her history in the genre and this new film, JLo gushed about how funny Office Romance is and how excited she is for fans to see the movie, describing it as:

The desire for nostalgic rom-coms is at an all-time high, so Office Romance comes at a perfect time. It should be a delightful summer treat. However, fans were a little surprised about how Jennifer Lopez chose to celebrate the completion of the film with a beach setting and a pink bikini. If that’s any indication of what to expect, fans should be prepared for the unexpected.

If there’s one thing to know about Jennifer Lopez, it’s that she more than knows how to create a killer fashion moment. From her iconic, green plunging dress to the stunning see-through gown she wore at the 2026 Golden Globes, JLo has indeed worn some stunning fits. So it probably shouldn’t have been much of a surprise that her sense of style was on full display at the premiere of her 2026 Netflix release, Office Romance. Even still, the three-strap piece she wore to the event was particularly impressive.

Lopez – along with the cast and crew of her aforementioned rom-com – made their way to The Egyptian Theatre Hollywood this past Tuesday night. It was there that the multihyphenate rubbed shoulders with the likes of Brett Goldstein and Edward James Olmos. Of course, it also was hard not to take notice of her outfit, which is a Versace Spring 2004 Couture gown. Check out the dress for yourself, and I dare you not to be amazed by its elegance and daring nature:

As can be seen above, this is a corseted, strapless piece that’s highlighted by dark colors, but those crystals still manage to shine. It’s the kind of piece that a person has to look twice at, and that’s because there are some finer details that need to be pointed out. Chief among those elements are the sheer cutouts used for the piece, which help make this ensemble feel like something of a magic trick. Not only that, but there’s also that long flowing skirt that tops it all off.

What impressed me the most upon seeing the dress were the straps, which seem to firmly support the “Jenny from the Block” performer’s physique. Take a closer look at those straps via the photo below:

JLo and her stylists definitely deserve some credit for this piece of work, and that’s saying a lot, considering how they’ve outdone themselves over the years. The trailers for Office Romance seem to be sizzling hot, and I can also say the same about Jennifer Lopez’s premiere outfit. As the year goes on, I’m curious as to what kind of ensembles JLo might sport for upcoming events. I’d imagine those might be spectacular as well, but I think this three-strap gown is going to be tough to top.

Although Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck settled their divorce well over a year ago, one piece of business kept them bound together after the split. The former couple was left with the task of having to unload the $60 million mansion they purchased together during their marriage. For a while, they saw their share of starts and stops while trying to sell the house and, just weeks ago, the saga took an interesting turn when Affleck (53) sold his stake to Lopez (56). Now, JLo has re-listed the property, but how’s she doing it this time around?

The Beverly Hills mansion formerly inhabited by “Bennifer” was just put back on the market this past Tuesday, according to TMZ. However, it seems JLo is taking a different approach this time around, as she’s apparently reduced the price tag. Instead of selling the house for $60 million, the 38,000-square-foot home is now being offered for $49,995,000. This marks a significant reduction in the asking price, especially considering there was a time at which Lopez and Affleck were seeking to sell the mansion for $68 million.

At this point, regardless of the fact that the Hustlers star has since cut down the price on the home, she’s still set to rake in all of the profits, thanks to her ex gifting her his stake. That move on Affleck’s part seemed quite surprising from the outside looking in, especially considering it was previously reported that Affleck and JLo disagreed on how to sell the mansion. Affleck, of course, hasn’t explained his decision to give up his share, but it’s alleged that he made the “grand gesture” to alleviate tension between him and his ex.

Lopez and Affleck originally purchased the mansion in May 2023 and, at that point, they reportedly paid $60.85 million. Following the couple’s separation in mid-2024, they listed the house for the aforementioned $68 million sum, but they later reduced the price to $52 million. The listing was eventually taken down, and the house was eventually put back on the market around July 2025. Still, the mansion was ultimately delisted again by the start of 2026.

When it comes to why the two stars apparently had a tough time unloading their property, reports have pointed to more than a few possible variables. One of the obvious reasons was the initial asking price, which was apparently viewed as being steep by some analysts. It was also reported that the home was subject to sky-high insurance costs, with the mansion reportedly costing around $500,000 to keep the place insured on a yearly basis.

It, of course, remains to be seen if the mansion — which has 24 bathrooms – will actually sell now that the price has been slashed. Should that happen, though, it would mark yet another step forward for both Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, who’ve been moving into new chapters in their lives. Affleck remains busy work-wise and is supposedly only considering casual relationships right now. As for Lopez, she’s reportedly focused on getting ready for her kids to go to college, and she revealed she wasn’t interested in dating anytime soon.

As for the potential sale of the mansion, The Beverly Hills Estates is currently the holder of the listing. Theoretically, a sale would translate to a solid chunk of change for Lopez and, simultaneously, it would further signify the end of one era in her life. We’ll just have to wait and see how everything pans out with this real estate saga.

Romantic comedies are a beloved genre in the film world, and there are few that do it quite as successful as Jennifer Lopez. Some of JLo's best movies are rom-coms, and she's got another one coming with Office Romance (which will be available with a Netflix subscription). Her chemistry with Ted Lasso star Brett Goldstein is electric, but did this footage basically give away the entire movie?

It remains to be seen if Office Romance ends up being one of JLo's best rom-coms, but the above trailer is definitely compelling. The movie was written for Lopez, but I'm worried that the trailer revealed too much. After all, we saw as she and Goldstein met, fell for each other, and eventually the drama that'll presumably happen in act three. I mean, am I crazy here?

This trailer opens on Brett Goldstein's Daniel Blanchflower as he seemingly has his first day at an airline called AirCruz. He's warned about what a hardass the boss is aka Jennifer Lopez's character Jackie Cruz. She's teased to be a Miranda Priestly-esque character, but he seems smitten the minute they meet for the first time.

We see as the pair start working together. And while Daniel clearly has an insta-crush, Jackie tries to keep things professional between the two of them. Try being the operative word, as feelings grow between the two until they eventually dance together in the Dominican Republic during a work trip. The dancing leads to kissing, and the titular Office Romance begins between the pair of coworkers.

While this is only a trailer I have to say that I'm impressed by how great the chemistry is between Lopez and Goldstein. It bursts off the screen, with their characters unable to keep their hands off each other in the office. Unfortunately, this ends up being a big part of the conflict that's revealed later in the clip.

Eventually folks around the office notice that there's something between the pair, leading AirCruz's Board of Directors to call in JLo's Jackie for an emergency meeting. They threaten to throw her out of the company, with Daniel willing to lose his job in order to protect her (and their relationship).

While every romantic comedy needs to have conflict, I'm surprised by how much of the movie's plot was seemingly shown in the Office Romance trailer. These scenes will obviously be expanded and the narrative will go further than this limited footage, it feels like pretty much the entire movie's story has been revealed. So I hope there are some surprises when I eventually stream the title upon its release this summer.

All will be revealed when Office Romance hits Netflix on June 5th as part of the 2026 movie release list. I personally can't wait to see Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein's chemistry in full when streaming the forthcoming rom-com.

Lopez expressed excitement for the upcoming movie, which Goldstein co-wrote with Joe Kelly. As Lopez explained (via People), though, if not for one major -- and very necessary -- element, the movie wouldn't have happened at all:

Goldstein previously revealed that the character of Jackie Cruz Office Romance was created specifically for Lopez. However, it's truly wild to hear that he and Joe Kelly were going to pull the plug on the entire project if JLo opted not to sign up for it. Of course, the pair could've searched for another actress, but they clearly knew who they wanted. Wit that, it's easy to imagine Kelly and Goldstein breathing a collective sigh of relief over Lopez deciding to join the production.

Clearly, there was something about Lopez that just drew Goldstein in, making her his muse for this project. She’s obviously done plenty of romantic comedies throughout her career, so she certainly has demonstrated that this is well within her wheelhouse. Lopez has such a specific allure and chemistry with her co-stars, bringing both a sex-appeal and a vulnerability. I can’t wait to see how Goldstein plays with her existing persona, while also getting something unique out of her for this film.

Office Romance follows Lopez's Cruz, who is the CEO of a major company that falls in love with a new employee played by Goldstein, and the two have to keep the relationship a secret. One of the elements that drew Lopez in was the "raunchy" script and the romantic dynamic between the central characters.

Additionally, while the film is apparently structured like a classic romantic comedy, it has a lot more edge than the work Lopez has done in years past. With that, it presents a new challenge for the Maid in Manhattan star. Despite he busy start having back-to-back projects, it was a priority for her to make this latest film happen.

Based on everything being reported, it seems like Office Romance was well worth the commitment. Lopez revealed Goldstein was the best on-screen kiss she'd ever had, and Goldstein has also been complimentary, confessing to crushing on Lopez before shooting the movie with her.

I'm personally excited to see how this flirty off-screen conversation translates to on-screen chemistry, and to see why Jennifer Lopez was the only possible candidate for this buzzy new rom-com. Brett Goldstein is an excellent writer, so I trust his sensibilities and have high hopes that we have an instant classic of a rom-com coming up.

A number of rom-coms have gotten sequels over the years, so why not let JLo and Ralph Fiennes share the screen together again?

For now, Lopez is attached to a number of projects that are on the 2026 movie release list and beyond. She's one of the most iconic romantic comedy stars of all time, so we'll have to see if another Maid in Manhattan ever actually happens.

Jennifer Lopez has been quite busy as of late, with the multihyphenate devoting much of her time to her ongoing Las Vegas residency. At the same time, questions remain in regard to the state of Lopez’s love life. It’s been over a year since Lopez finalized her divorce from her latest spouse, Ben Affleck, and she’s opened up about feeling good in this new era of her life. More recently, during an interview, someone asked the actress/singer if she’d been dating her fair share of men lately, and she dropped a humorously honest response.

While promoting her show in Vegas, JLo (56) caught up with Nightline to discuss both her life and career. That interview, which was also shown on Good Morning America, was conducted by Juju Chang, who discussed a number of topics with the starlet. Talk eventually turned to Lopez’s love life, with Chang specifically asking her if she had been “dating up a storm” as of late. The Marry Me star humorously shut down the notion before explaining her feelings:

All in all, I’d say that answer makes Lopez’s thoughts very clear. Although some might chuckle at the notion that she doesn’t want to “ruin anything,” the sentiment makes sense. By all accounts, the “Can't Get Enough” star is in a good place, and it’s understandable that she wouldn’t want that to shift in any way. During the chat (which is on YouTube), Lopez also spoke more to how she approached relationships when she was younger:

The mother of two currently doesn’t seem to have any interest in dating, though that could change as time goes on. For now, though, here’s hoping she continues to enjoy her “happy era” as it stands right now.

An insider recently made claims about Ben Affleck’s love life while speaking with inTouch Weekly. By April 2024, the pair had separated, and Lopez filed for divorce in August of that year.

Since then, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have seemingly maintained a friendly relationship and have even still provided support for each other’s kids at varying times. The pair were all smiles when they appeared at the red carpet premiere of Kiss of the Spider Woman last fall. However, insiders said that the lovely meetup wouldn’t signify a romantic reconciliation for “Bennifer.” While they were friendly, that was also a business outing, as Affleck was an EP on the movie and, per this source, Affleck is focused on his career:

[He] seems totally immune to falling in love, or at least totally disinterested in that at the moment. Ben is trying to build an empire with his new studio [Artists Equity] and walking that path alone or with just [Matt Damon] at his side, works for him right now. So, all in all, it’s being alleged that Ben Affleck is keeping his eyes focused on work while also leaving the door open for casual relationships. If that is true, it’s hard to say whether the public will become privy to any details regarding any of the ladies Affleck sees in the near future. Regardless, given Affleck’s persona, I’d imagine he’d have no problem finding a partner should he seek one.

The accomplished multihyphenate's hustle is real, including working as an actress and pop star, as well as staying in incredible shape. She recently took to social media to show her in the gym, and included some A+ advice about how to keep active during the winter months.

JLo is a rom-com queen, with those movies often highlighting the way she seemingly refuses to age at all. You have to give her credit for staying in killer shape, even rocking bikinis in her 50s. Since 2023, Ben Affleck has been working with Dunkin’ on Super Bowl ads that have kept TV viewers amused and confused, and the Oscar winner’s latest effort will no doubt match up with past merch-inspiring efforts like the DunKings. The company unveiled a video setting up what we’ll see on February 8, with Affleck rocking a thick-as-fahck Boston accent to pitch an idea to “Jen and Matt,” two names he’s quite used to saying. But it’s not what you think.

Guzzle whatever coffee you have near and check out the new ad teaser below. Anyone who can make it through the whole thing without impersonating Affleck’s accent either gets a free box of donuts or my temporary respect; whichever is cheaper to ship.

“Jen, Matt: I got a pitch for ya.” The ad kicks off with those two names but without ever showing anyone on-screen beyond Ben Affleck. Already that should have sent off warning bells that expectations would be upended here. Plus, the pitch here is about looking back to the past for something new, and that...

Well, I guess Affleck and JLo did go through two distinct relationship eras that would play into the Dunkin' ad's theme. As well, he and Matt Damon did just share the screen again in Netflix's action romp The Rip, and they do tend to reteam every so often. But let's refer to the biggest piece of evidence pointing to who else will actually be seen in the new ad.

Why I Don't Think Ben Affleck Is Referring To Jlo And Matt Damon

Back in November, word spread that Ben Affleck and Dunkin' would once again attempt to break the Internet, this time with a curated selection of sitcom stars whose runs took place during the very VHS era thats' being called back to in the ad above. Some of those cameos will come from stars of past NBC megahits like Cheers, Seinfeld, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and...Friends.

If that last show starting ringing connection bells, it's likely because two of its hugely popular stars include JENnifer Aniston and MATT LeBlanc, and we'll almost definitely discover that they're the two people Affleck is pitching to.

At the time, it was rumored that Aniston and LeBlanc would be joined by Jason Alexander, Ted Danson and Alfonso Ribeiro (as well as DunKing Tom Brady), and that the ads would center on a Good Will Hunting riff called "Good Will Dunkin'." Nobody saw that pun coming. In the initial report, it was stated that Ted Danson would be portraying Sam Malone, but it sounds like the fictional representation won't carry over to the Friends co-stars.

To be sure, however, just because Jennifer Aniston and Matt LeBlanc are allegedly in this ad technically doesn't make a JLo or Matt Damon cameo impossible. What better way to throw everyone off than by featuring other celebs with the same first names? I guess it depends on how much this creative team is prioritizing fan befuddlement.

It's unclear whether or not Ben Affleck & Co. reinlisted the efforts of John Candy's son Chris Candy to direct the latest batch of ads, after previously bringing him into the mix without being aware of his parentage. But we'll hopefully find out more around the time when we see more of the ads on Super Bowl Sunday, which is happening on February 8 this year.

Bridgerton fans everywhere are finally getting new episodes in the 2026 TV schedule, with the first four installments of Season 4 available streaming now with a Netflix subscription. The season centering on Benedict's love story already has a spot on Netflix's Top 10 less than 24 hours after releasing in the wee hours of the morning on January 29, and it turns out that one of the people who may have contributed to that is none other than music superstar and fashion icon Jennifer Lopez. And JLo embraced the frills and finery in the perfect celebrity fashion tribute to the show!

Jennifer Lopez wore a sprawling gown that is much more Bridgerton-esque than her stunning sheer Golden Globes dress and the yellow number she wore for Nikki Glaser. She certainly wouldn't look out of place taking tea in the Ton wearing it. Take a look:

The most stylish ladies of real-life Regency England might not have been ready for the lavender gown of sheer fabric and flowers, but the Bridgerton version of Regency England? Absolutely, and I can see why JLo tagged Netflix, Shonda Rhimes, and the official Instagram accounts for Shondaland and Bridgerton. She even got a response from the show's account in her comment section:

Even though Netflix hasn't confirmed if Claudia Jessie's season will be next as Eloise, I vote for the Grammy nominee to make the cast. She proved that she's worthy of the Bridgerton world going back to her iconic green Versace dress in 2000, two decades before the spicy period drama romance premiered. Can't you just see her standing among the socialites at a ball, or trading gossip with Queen Charlotte?

There are plenty of people in the comment section of JLo's post who think so, as they seem to believe that the post is so fitting with the Bridgerton world that it was a sign that she's part of the cast for the current fourth season. We technically can't rule it out; like what Netflix did with Season 3, Benedict's season will air in two parts. With Part 2 still a month away, fans can speculate away about what's in store.

Some fans have in fact already checked out the four episodes of Part 1. At the time of writing, less than one full day after the Season 4 premiere, Bridgerton already has a spot on Netflix's Top 10 TV Shows In The U.S. Today. Take a look at the full list:

That said, I'd be shocked if Bridgerton isn't at least in the Top 5 by the end of the first weekend with Season 4 available, and it can likely dethrone Mike Epps' comedy special at some point during the wait for Part 2 to release on February 26. And who knows? Maybe JLo will have another gorgeous gown worthy of a Bridgerton to debut by then.

Celebrity couples have a habit of making headlines, and few pairs know this quite as well as Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. One way that they remain connected is through the mansion they purchased together as a married couple. And according to a new report, they're not on the same page about how to proceed.

After Bennifer got married in Vegas, they shopped around and brought a huge, $60.85 mansion for their families blend and live in. After their split, they put it on the market, but struggled to get any real bids. Now TMZ is reporting that Ben is ready to drop the number and get the house sold, while Lopez is still hoping to sell for $68 million (a number that includes the renovations they put on the home together).

If this report is to be believed, the two A-listers can't get on the same page about the price tag for that home. In addition to that sum, the home's insurance reportedly costs a whopping $500k per year. This only makes it more expensive, which is seemingly why Affleck wants to lower the price.

The mansion in question reportedly didn't get any real offers, leading Affleck and Lopez to take it off the market in July. And since then, JLo has taken up residence there as she renovates the new home she purchased. They're stuck paying for the crib, so why not use it?

It should be fascinating to see if the pair of A-lister actually put the mansion back on the market, what price they actually list it. Given how long it sat there without any bids at $68 million, it might make sense to lower the price. Although considering the money they put into redoing the place, it seems like Lopez and Affleck might be taking a major financial loss regardless.

While the report by TMZ claims that the two celebrities can't agree on how much to list their married home for, that does seem to be the extent of the drama between the former couple. They hired a fancy divorce lawyer and settled without going to court, despite not having a prenup in place. This stands in stark juxtaposition to messier Hollywood splits like Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. Affleck and Lopez also attended various premiers together post-divorce, showing there are seemingly no hard feelings.

Only time will tell exactly how things shake out with the potential sale of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's mansion. It's got a wild price tag, so we'll have to wait for someone with deep pockets to purchase the place.

Some people are early birds and others are night owls, but there’s a fair faction of celebrities that are early birds to an extreme. Well, at least when it comes to working out. Mark Wahlberg’s been open about his 4AM workout club over the last couple of years, but digging around, it turns out he’s not the only celebrity with a crazy fitness schedule.

Wahlberg’s social media in particular is peppered with 4AM workout club posts. He’s called it a “lifestyle” many times, and has addressed the workout starts at 4 – which usually means he’s up closer to 2:30 a.m, and has confirmed he is not full of hot air when it comes to these daily starting times.

Getting up early and getting in his workout before 6 a.m. means the The Family Plan star has time to get in golf in Las Vegas before it gets too hot. Then he spends the afternoons working and spending time with his family. Obviously, his routine must change when he’s working on a movie set, but doubtless, there’s often still time for those early morning fitness sessions.

Wahlberg has been honest that Mondays (which seem to be leg day) are “the worst,” but he shares his 4AM persistence often, and is a great follow on Instagram if that’s a routine you’re looking to get into yourself. He's been doing this for years; in fact, I once watched him push James Corden through a 4AMer when he was still a late night host like seven years ago, so this doesn't seem to be a routine he'll be ending anytime soon.

Jennifer Lopez And Dwayne Johnson Are Other Examples Of Extreme Early Birds In Hollywood

Jennifer Lopez is another early bird at the gym. Whether she’s doing strength training or even oddball training for movies, like when she learned pole dancing for Hustlers, she’s not wasting time later in the day training. She’s up and at them, as she revealed to US Weekly a couple of years ago, and she likes to break a sweat “first thing,” with some outlets citing this at 5 or 6 AM, and one celebrity insider noting she’s up at 4 a.m., like Wahlberg. Her celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson also opened up about her work ethic, and it sounds like she has a good attitude in the gym, despite the early hours.

Other A-listers also have insanely early workout schedules, like The Rock, who reportedly kicks his day off with a cardio session before doing a separate lifting workout. He’s showed off Stories posts in the past with alarms going off at times as early as 4:09 AM, though some outlets report he can get up as early as 3:30, similar to Wahlberg.

Speaking of The Rock and Mark Wahlberg, a couple of years ago the 4 a.m. workout aficionado told the world he can do more pullups than Johnson. I don’t know if that’s held true as they’ve both aged, but I’d love to see a pullup challenge between the two of them. That wouldn’t happen early in the day for Johnson, though. He typically starts the day with cardio, then gets into lifting weights in the afternoon, with his trainer noting the “right weight” and “intensity” is key to the actor’s success.

Kim Kardashian Gets Up Pretty Early, Too

Which brings me to one more celebrity who likes to get up early: Kim Kardashian. What I like about Kim is that she has work ethic, but she’s a little less crazy about it than some of these a-listers. The reality star reportedly mixes it up with weights, pilates, and a “little bit of cardio,” as she told Vogue earlier this year, also confirming the early AM was her time to get it done.

Awards Season is upon us, and folks at the 2026 Golden Globes definitely turned out the fashion. While Selena Gomez rocked a gorgeous feathered gown, Jennifer Lopez is the latest star to put her spin on the sheer dress trend. And the look is so striking that I think it's my favorite take on the often viral see-through dress. What can't JLo wear?

The "Let's Get Loud" singer has had plenty of iconic fashion moments, including Lopez's iconic green Versace dress. She once again hit out of the park at the Globes this year, wearing a see-through gown with dramatic tulle at the bottom and flowers that strategically cover part of her body. Check it out below, where you'll also notice that the pop star, actor, and producer remains ageless.

Talk about stunning. Between the sheer panels and the expert styling, this is definitely a Globes look that's going to go viral. The dress is by Jean-Louis Cherrer, and her jewels are by Sabyasachi. I maintain JLo was snubbed for her performance in Kiss of the Spider Woman, and should have included in the 2026 Golden Globe nominations. But you can't deny how effective and memorable this look is at the ceremony.

The trend of sheer dresses began when Florence Pugh wore see-through Valentino dress back in 2022, with the actress facing body shaming online. But that didn't stop her from going sheer, and plenty of other actresses have followed suit. Jennifer Lopez is the latest example of this, and is by far my favorite take on this empowering trend.

Rachel Zegler rocked a sheer dress this past December, and earlier in the fall bot Margot Robbie and Rachel Zegler wore see through looks. It's always fun seeing how each celebrity brings something new to the assignment, and the Selena actress provided yet another memorable variation.

While Kiss of the Spider Woman didn't perform at the box office, I was hoping early buzz for Jennifer Lopez's performance would carry through deep into Awards Season. She gave an outstanding performance, with her talent as an actress, dancer, and vocalist all on display for the movie musical. This isn't the first time that fans like me have been bummed about JLo not getting her flowers, as she was notably snubbed from an Oscar nomination for Hustlers.

You can't deny how much of a fashion icon Jennifer Lopez, and this Golden Globes look is further proof why you want the accomplished multihyphenate at your event. And years in, there are still ways for the sheer dress trend to deliver surprises.

After Nikki Glaser's nearly flawless performance at last year’s Golden Globes, she's returning to host this year's ceremony. It's likely that the comic will have more than a few jokes to share about the 83rd Golden Globes' nominees. (Although, you probably should expect her to skip a Kylie Jenner/Timothée Chalamet joke.) There’s no need to wait until the Globes for a laugh, though as Glaser shared a comedy bit she did with Jennifer Lopez, who showed up on set wearing a sweet yellow dress that's hard to ignore.

Ah, I love it! The Selena actress has rocked yellow before by way of an itsy bitsy, teenie weenie bikini, and she also tied a yellow ribbon on her see-through Shotgun Wedding premiere dress. So it's no surprise she's bringing a golden yellow again at the Globes this year.

But Lopez’s Golden Globe ensemble screams exactly what she mouths— “I’m the owner of this house!” Her flowy, tube dress and Hollywood shades illustrate that there’s no awards show without this beautiful celeb in attendance. That fur shawl, in particular, goes great with the jokingly diva attitude she brings to the funny reel, which draws audio from a viral TikTok video.

I also love the sight of Nikki Glaser cutely jumping for joy at the sight of the singer/singer. After seeing this video, Id' also love to see Glaser and JLo actually do something together during the broadcast. I have no doubt that anything they'd do would be iconic.

For the last Golden Globes, Glaser actually wanted to make a “Bennifer” joke about which Jennifer Ben Affleck would “try to ruin” next. However, it ended up getting cut. So, in a weird way, this recent social media bit kind of represents something of a full-circle moment, if viewed from a certain way. Regardless, I love this pairing and even down to the caption, which includes a sweet combination of Lopez and Glaser's first names—"Nennifer." Classic!

Whether or not Jennifer Lopez and Nikki Glaser (or I should say "Nennifer") plan to bring their comedic chops to the Golden Globe stage together , their Instagram comedy bit already sets the tone for the night. With Lopez’s commanding presence in her yellow dress and Glaser’s witty humor, I have a hopeful feeling that viewers are going to have a great time watching tonight.

She’s also been open about what it’s been like going through divorce in general and, during a concert, she recalled the dance-related advice she received from a mentor after her third marriage ended.

As for the year ahead, it would seem that JLo is set to keep performing accordingly. She also has a couple of films in the can, including Office Romance, a romantic comedy that co-stars Brett Goldstein. The movie will be available for Netflix subscription holders but, as of this writing, the streamer has yet to confirm whether the flick will be part of the 2026 movie schedule.

Sean Combs has made it through the holidays, experiencing one of several Christmases he’ll spend behind bars before his scheduled release in May 2028. This included a visit from his son Justin, a private Mass at FCI Fort Dix, a meal of baked cornish hen, and, apparently, a look into his future. Mirroring a move that his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez made a few months ago, Diddy decided to pull his Beverly Hills mansion off the market.

One week before his arrest in September 2024, Diddy put his mansion — made famous following federal raids on the property in March of that year that produced more than 1,000 bottles of lubricant for his “Freak Off” parties — up for sale, hoping to get $61 million for the estate he purchased for $39 million in 2014. However, the New York Post reports he’s reversed his decision, suggesting he may move back in when his 50-month sentence has been served.

As the 17,000-square-foot estate sat on the market, it was speculated that the criminal allegations against P. Diddy could be affecting buyers’ interest. The home — which boasts neighbors including Ridley Scott, Kylie Jenner, Jennifer Lopez and the Playboy Mansion — was allegedly one of the sites of the music mogul’s infamous days-long sex parties that were talked about at length during his 2025 trial.

Speaking of Jennifer Lopez, she and Ben Affleck recently made a similar decision regarding the home they purchased together before deciding to divorce. After going months with no offers, the former couple reportedly made the choice together to pull it off the market.

Obviously, the two situations are different, with Sean Combs being in jail, but it seems their motivations might be similar. In addition to not wanting to drop the selling price any further, eagle-eyed fans realized that Jennifer Lopez is still living there. Renovations are being done on her Hidden Hills home that reportedly would make living there uncomfortable, and the Hustlers actress is still paying for the 12-bedroom property, so why not use it?

Diddy may have come to his own decision out of necessity, as he’ll presumably need a place to live upon his release from federal prison. The Holmby Hills home, located on so-called Billionaire’s Row, reportedly boasts 10 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, a 35-seat movie theater, library, wine cellar, gym and sauna.

It sits on 1.3 acres of land inside the gated community and also includes a pool, basketball half-court and an outdoor kitchen. A separate guest house houses the music mogul’s recording studio and a spa.

If he chooses to return to this home, it will be quite a change from what he’s experiencing at the low-security federal prison in New Jersey. When Sean Combs was arrested in 2024, he was charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution; however, he was later acquitted of the first two crimes, which would have carried a much longer prison sentence.

For the two counts of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution, a judge sentenced Diddy to 50 months in prison with time served, as well as the maximum fine of $500,000. After his release, there will be a lot of special conditions he’ll have to continue to follow, but it sounds like he might know the home he’ll return to when that time comes.

Jennifer Lopez spent her New Year’s Eve performing at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for the second night of her Up All Night Las Vegas residency. During the show, she took a moment to get real about some big advice she received following one of her divorces, after sharing a sweet moment with her kids on stage.

The new show is a full circle moment for the triple threat, considering she previously had another Las Vegas residency that kicked off in 2016, about a year and a half after her divorce was finalized with Marc Anthony. Since JLo’s split with Ben Affleck became official in August 2024, the parallels are there. Here’s how Lopez reflected to the Las Vegas crowd on New Year’s Eve:

Celebrity couples come and go, but some combinations never fully leave the conversation. Just look at the long-running saga of Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner and Jennifer Lopez. We haven’t heard much about “Jen, Jen, and Ben” lately, which is probably why it was so easy to forget just how interconnected their lives still are. For example, the three recently ended up at the same place at the same time, during a recent event, having a family reunion of sorts.

The low-key reunion took place at a school play in Los Angeles, involving kids from both sides of Affleck’s blended family. According to a report from Harper's Bazaar, Ben Affleck was joined by both of his ex-wives, Jennifer Garner and Jennifer Lopez, as they supported Affleck and Garner’s child, Seraphina, along with Lopez’s child, Emme. It wasn’t a red carpet moment or a public statement, but three famous parents doing what parents do.

The former Batman actor arrived with Garner and their son, Samuel, and the two looked like a pair of co-parents who had this routine with their kids down to a science. The Alias veteran kept things simple in a black sweater and skirt combo with boots. The actor-turned-director, on the other hand, leaned into his usual polished-but-practical look with a navy coat over a matching suit.

Lopez arrived separately with her manager, Benny Medina, and her mother, Guadalupe, but was later photographed chatting with Samuel outside the school. She wore a camel coat and diamond studs, which somehow managed to feel both understated and extremely on-brand.
