When Calls the Heart might have just started its 13^th season on the 2026 TV schedule, but there will be so much more to look forward to in Hope Valley beyond the new season. Hallmark Channel has already renewed the long-running romance drama for Season 14, and along with that, Lori Loughlin will be returning as Abigail Stanton after departing in Season 6 due to her role in the college admissions scandal. Erin Krakow is already excited to work with Loughlin again, and there’s one moment she can’t wait to have with her.

It was announced in December that Loughlin would be returning as Abigail in a multi-episode arc for Season 14, and Krakow was quick to welcome her back to the family with a sweet Instagram post. The love fest is continuing, as Krakow told Us Weekly what she’s most excited about regarding Abigail’s return to Hope Valley, and it includes moments between her and Krakow’s Elizabeth as well as Martin Cummins’ Henry:

Since Abigail was one of the first to welcome Elizabeth to Hope Valley, the two quickly formed a friendship and a special bond, so seeing their reunion will definitely be one for the books. Their reunion won’t be the only one to look forward to, though.

As Krakow said, Abigail and Henry’s eventual reunion will be a special one. Likely an emotional one, too. Their relationship has been a complicated one, but it was obvious they loved and cared for one another, and those feelings have not gone away, as evidenced by Abigail’s name-drop in the Season 10 finale when Henry was staring at Abigail’s Café and going to her door.

That being said, not much has been shared about what will bring Abigail back to Hope Valley. She had left to take care of her sick mother, and while Loughlin has been on the spinoff, When Hope Calls, there’s no telling what will be in store. Not surprisingly, Krakow is keeping tight-lipped about the upcoming season, but not because she can’t share any details:

Considering When Calls the Heart was only just renewed for Season 14 a month ago, it makes sense that nothing has been written yet. Production is set to commence sometime this year, but additional information has not been revealed. So for now, fans will just have to theorize what will happen and how Abigail’s return will go down.

If anything, it should be interesting to see Lori Loughlin back on When Calls the Heart. The actress has slowly been getting back into acting since the College Admissions Scandal in 2019, most recently starring in Dick Wolf’s short-lived Prime procedural On Call. Whether she will be appearing in more than six episodes beyond Season 14 remains to be seen, but for now, new episodes of WCTH air on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Hallmark.

While Season 13 of When Calls the Heart will premiere very soon on the 2026 TV schedule, I can’t help but think about Season 14. That’s because, for the first time in years, Lori Loughlin will return as Abigail Stanton. Now, to hype fans up even more for this comeback, the cast reunited with her and posted cute videos to prove it.

In the weeks following the announcement that Loughlin was returning to the long-running Hallmark show, the cast got together for an event. She appeared at it too, and Pascale Hutton, who plays Rosemary, revealed in this very fun Instagram video, take a look:

Really, it felt like the whole gang was there. Along with Hutton and Loughlin, Erin Krakow, Ben Rosenbaum, Viv Leacock, Jack Wagner, Chris McNally and Kavan Smith can all be seen in the video. They all looked so thrilled to welcome the Full House actress back into the fold, too, and that energy was also present at the event they all attended.

That’s right, there’s more fun footage to talk about. Along with the video we just watched, When Calls the Heart and Erin Krakow also posted a clip of them surprising the audience at the Hallmark Christmas Experience with Loughlin. She was introduced as “one of [their] favorite friends and co-stars,” and when the crowd realized she was there, they freaked out. Take a look:

The excitement surrounding this return makes a lot of sense. The last time Lori Loughlin appeared on the show was in Season 6, which came out in 2019. Following the college admissions scandal, there were questions about whether she’d ever return to WCTH, and fans were left wondering season after season if she’d come back.

She did reprise her role as Abigail in the spinoff, When Hope Calls, back in 2021. However, she only appeared in two episodes. When she appears in Season 14 of When Calls the Heart, she’ll have a much larger role to play. Via USA Today, Loughlin will appear in six of the season’s 12 episodes, and they’ll begin filming them in 2026 with the goal of releasing them in 2027.

Now, we still have a while to wait for Loughlin’s return to When Calls the Heart. However, thankfully, we’ll have a whole new season to watch while we wait, because Season 13 will premiere on the Hallmark Channel on Sunday, January 4 at 8 p.m. ET.

When Calls the Heart only wrapped filming on Season 13 in October bu,t ahead of its premiere in January on the 2026 TV schedule, Hallmark delivered some very good news. The long-running Western romance drama has been renewed for Season 14 and, on top of that, Lori Loughlin is making her much-anticipated return as Abigail Stanton. Following the announcement, Erin Krakow celebrated by showing her former co-star some love.

Loughlin starred in the first six seasons of When Calls the Heart before being written off due to her role in the 2019 college admissions scandal. It was explained that Abigail had to take care of her sick mother. Since then, Loughlin joined the main cast of spinoff When Hope Calls for its second season, reprising her role as Abigail. It was unknown if she would ever return to WCTH, so the confirmation that she be returning for a multi-episode arc for the upcoming 14th season was a welcome surprise, and Krakow took to Instagram to celebrate:

As can be seen above, Erin Krakow shared a carousel of photos with Loughlin, both series stills and behind-the-scenes photos. While it’s currently unclear what will bring Abigail back to Hope Valley, I think it’s only fair that a lot of her scenes involve Krakow's Elizabeth. At present, though, I'm liking the notion of Krakow and Loughlin being reunited on the series.

I also love Krakow's sweet message, in which she also noted that her excitement and "tears of joy" were not due to hormones. That's a reference to the fact that the actress is currently pregnant with her first child with husband and co-star Ben Rosenbaum. All in all, Krakow's had more than a few reasons to celebrate as of late.

Abigail’s return to Hope Valley has long been wondered about by fans. She was name-dropped in the Season 10 finale when Martin Cummins’ Henry was seen staring at Abigail’s Café and going to her door. It was clear Henry still loved and missed her. At the time, Krakow said that while Loughlin wouldn’t be returning for Season 11, she would “love it if she could come back.” So fans have not been the only ones hoping for a return.

Not only will it be excellent to see Loughlin back on When Calls the Heart, but it will also be great to see her on screen again in general. Since the college admissions scandal, the Full House star has slowly been getting back into acting, most recently with the short-lived Dick Wolf Prime drama, On Call. Even though she’s only appearing in six episodes of WCTH that won’t air until Season 14 in 2027, the mere confirmation of her return is enough to keep this fan excited in the meantime.

The wait for Season 14 of When Calls the Heart will be excruciating, but, at the very least, Season 13 premieres on Sunday, January 4 at 8 p.m. ET on Hallmark. There will be much to look forward to, from Elizabeth and Nathan's continued relationship to something major impacting Hope Valley, there’s no telling what will go down.

Earlier this month, it was announced that Full House alum Lori Loughlin was separating from Mossimo Guinolli, her husband of 28 years. The celebrity breakup comes five years after the couple served time in prison for their roles in the college admission scandal that got daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose into USC under false pretenses. John Stamos apparently has some strong feelings about Guinolli, and he absolutely went off in defense of his former co-star.

John Stamos played Jesse Katsopolis on Full House several decades ago, with his character eventually marrying Lori Loughlin’s Rebecca Donaldson. The actors never took their romance off the screen, but just like most of the Full and Fuller House family, they’ve remained close friends. So when Stamos got to talking about Loughlin’s marriage coming to an end on the Good Guys podcast, he really didn’t hold back on how he thought his friend was better off. Stamos said:

John Stamos was reportedly devastated about what happened to Lori Loughlin amidst her legal issues, as she was written off of Fuller House and fired by Hallmark, where she starred in When Calls the Heart. Stamos has defended her over the college admission scandal, saying she didn’t know what was going on.

He doubled down on that sentiment on the podcast, blaming Mossimo Guinolli — “She goes to fucking prison for this asshole.” — and saying she “didn’t deserve to be dragged through that.” When co-host Ben Soffer mentioned rumors of infidelity, John Stamos refused to confirm or deny but said:

Lori Loughlin’s actions following her release from prison in 2020 seem to back up John Stamos’ words, as she reportedly spent $500,000 — the same amount she and her husband were accused of illegally donating — to pay the full tuition and expenses for two other students to attend USC for four years.

As strong as the bond seems to be between the Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky actors, there’s no love lost between John Stamos and Mossimo Guinolli, as the Grandfathered star continued:

John Stamos thinks Mossimo Guinolli fumbled big time with Lori Loughlin, and the actor predicts Guinolli might come to regret some of his actions in the future. Stamos concluded:

There’s certainly no mystery about what John Stamos thinks of his friend’s ex, and while we can’t be sure what Lori Loughlin thinks about his candidness, it’s probably nice to have people like Stamos who are willing to go so hard in the paint for you.

It's been three years since the sudden passing of comedian Bob Saget, but his spirit remains in the hearts of fans everywhere, but especially those of the Full House stars keeping him in the conversation with their hilarious stories. Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber have helped pull back that curtain over the years, such as discussing how he struggled with being "America's Dad" while also performing NSFW stand-up. I can't help but laugh at the actress' stories about their parents reacting to Saget telling a dirty joke on set.

John Stamos and Lori Loughlin were guests on a recent live episode of Sweetin and Barber's throwback podcast How Rude, Tanneritos!, and the former discussed his parents visiting the set to watch him film episodes on the nights before the studio audience arrived. Sweetin and Barber added that, as child actors, their parents were legally required to be there whenever they worked, and how they'd react when Bob Saget told an off-color joke during filming:

Stamos and Loughlin laughed and went on to explain that Bob Saget's jokes often ended with the parents complaining and the adult cast getting lectured by producers. It's not the first time we've heard this, as the Olsen Twins, even as young as they were during the show, remember the adult cast being pretty inappropriate.

While the Olsen twins alleged the adult cast as a whole could skew inappropriate, the only other offense John Stamos mentioned on the podcast was that Dave Coulier had a "gas problem" when filming. It's not the worst issue in the world, unless you're one of the child actors, who pointed out they were all around eye-level height with his butt at the time. I can imagine it's hard to make it through a scene when you're getting crop-dusted nonstop.

Is this the kind of behavior that would fly on the set of a show premiering on the 2025 TV schedule? One certainly has to wonder, but it's not like producers didn't know what they were getting into when they brought in Bob Saget. The gone-too-soon comedian was performing stand-up for a decade prior to landing the gig as Danny Tanner on Full House, so it's not like his fake offspring were his core audience.

It's also worth noting that even if he might've ruffled the feathers of parents, Bob Saget was still beloved by the cast. We've heard many hilarious stories about him from co-stars like Dave Coulier over the years that mix in his penchant for inappropriate jokes and his overall ability to make others laugh. To be honest, I'd love to see one of those dirty jokes he told in the midst of filming, assuming footage of it exists.

Full House is streaming on Hulu, in case anyone feels the urge to revisit some of their favorite episodes. Just don't go in expecting some raunchy humor, though there are Bob Saget stand-up specials where one could hear that.

Jensen Ackles is shedding his Supernatural roots this summer in the 2025 TV schedule with the premiere of Countdown, his new Prime Video TV show. The actor, who previously worked on The Winchesters as a Supernatural spinoff and re-teamed with Supernatural creator Erik Kripke on The Boys, joined forces with Derek Haas of Chicago Fire fame to play an LAPD detective who is recruited into a secret task force.

The latest development? Prime Video has revealed a premiere date, and while that's certainly exciting, I'm thinking back to the action-packed On Call and the cast's high hopes for renewal news... going back several months.

When You Can Watch Countdown

Countdown will officially premiere for streamers with a Prime Video subscription on Wednesday, June 25. The first three episodes will drop on that first day, with the subsequent installments releasing weekly up until the finale on September 1.

Given that Jensen Ackles announced that he'd wrapped on Countdown back in March, the wait to see the series isn't too bad. He's joined in the cast by Grey's Anatomy's Eric Dane, The Flash's Jessica Camacho, and Death and Other Details' Violett Beane, among others.

The story of Countdown kicks off when a Department of Homeland Security officer is murdered in broad daylight, which results in LAPD Detective Mark Meachum (Ackles) joining undercover agents from all other branches of law enforcement on a task force to investigate.

The plot will only thicken from there, and it's a safe bet that there will be plenty of action courtesy of showrunner and executive producer Derek Haas. He filled those same roles on NBC's extremely successful Chicago Fire for years, and Fire delivers some of the strongest stunts on network televisison.

What About On Call?

In light of the Countdown news, I couldn't help but flash back to On Call, the half-hour police drama starring Pretty Little Liars' Troian Bellisario, The Good Doctor's Brandon Larracuente, Full House icon Lori Loughlin, and ER legend Eriq LaSalle as police officers in Long Beach, California. It wasn't shot quite like other crime dramas, as the first season also incorporated bodycam and dash-cam footage. The show hails from Wolf Entertainment, a.k.a. the production company behind One Chicago, the Law & Order world, and CBS' FBI world.

Fan reactions were mixed when On Call premiered back in January, despite a fan-favorite Chicago Fire alum making cameo early on. As somebody who regularly tunes in to network. TV's nine-show Dick Wolf world, I enjoyed what the creators' described as their "popcorn entertainment" approach to the story.

I was fortunate enough to speak with the On Call team back in December ahead of the premiere on Prime Video, and had to ask Lori Loughlin and Eriq La Salle if they'd be interested in coming back for a potential Season 2. Loughlin immediately responded with "Oh lord, we hope!" Eriq La Salle, who was also an executive producer and director for On Call, chimed in:

Considering that Eriq La Salle has acting, directing, and producing credits on a plethora of hour-long crime dramas (including Chicago P.D., Law & Order, Law & Order: Organized Crime, FBI, and FBI's upcoming CIA spinoff), who better to attest to On Call feeling fresh with its half-hour run time? Loughlin went on to share her hopes for the series' future, including a compliment for what her costar achieved while directing:

I spoke with these stars back in December, before the premiere in January when Prime Video subscribers en masse were able to check out the eight episodes for themselves. In all those months since the early 2025 premiere, Amazon has not announced a renewal or cancellation for On Call. I can't say if cast members have given up by this point, but I for one would just like to know.

At this point, all fans can do is wait for news and/or rewatch the first season if they want a fix of the On Call action. Jensen Ackles' Countdown does seem like a fun series that could be a hit with fans of any Wolf Entertainment viewer, and I'll be checking it out when it premieres in June.

When On Call debuts for streaming audiences with Amazon Prime subscription, fans will quickly realize this is a totally different kind of cop drama from what Dick Wolf fans are used to seeing in his other creations like the Law & Order franchise, the One Chicago shows, or CBS’ FBI dramas. But it looks like fans will get to see at least one familiar face from those worlds when it hits the 2025 TV schedule, as the new series’ first trailer has revealed a former Chicago Fire star is part of the cast.

On Call centers on veteran Long Beach police officer Traci Harmon (portrayed by Pretty LIttle Liars vet Troian Bellisario) who deals with the loss of a fellow officer while also struggling with training the next line of recruits. One such rookie is Alex Diaz, as played by The Good Doctor’s Brandon Larracuente; his initially optimistic approach will be challenged as he fully realizes just what he’s up against.

Such job stressors are on display in the show’s first trailer, which also features the surprise reveal that Chicago Fire and Hightown alum Monica Raymund is part of the recurring cast that also includes fellow primetime mainstays Lori Loughlin and Erik La Salle. Raymund famously portrayed Gabriela Dawson for years on the NBC hit before leaving after Season 6 and taking on Starz’s then-new drama. She later returned to Chicago Fire for guest spots in Seasons 7 and 8, and it seems clear her relationship with Dick Wolf remains intact.

While we're still unclear who she'll be playing, here's the first look at Raymund's On Call character:

Hopefully we’ll get some more information about her character soon, and maybe some clarification on whether or not Raymund’s new character exists in the same universe as Dawson. Stranger things have occurred in these shows.

Elsewhere in the cast, Lori Loughlin is portraying Lieutenant Bishop in On Call, and it’ll serve as her first major TV role in the aftermath of the college admission scandal. Not that she’s been completely absent otherwise, as she reprised the role of When Calls the Heart’s Abigail Stanton in a couple of episodes of Hallmark’s When Hope Calls, as well as a stellar fun-poking cameo in Curb Your Enthusiasm’s final season, on top of a return for Blue Bloods’ final season.

Meanwhile, Erik La Salle is making his first major TV return since portraying ER’s Dr. Peter Benton for eight seasons. For On Call, he’ll be playing Sergeant Lasman, but will also serve as an executive producer, as well as a director for select episodes. And let’s not forget Tulsa King’s Rich Ting co-starring as Sergeant Koyama.

Full House vet Lori Loughlin’s TV career very publicly went belly-up due to her involvement in the college admissions scandal, but she’s spent recent years regaining ground in holiday movies for Great American Family, a pair of When Hope Calls episodes, and a self-jabbing Curb Your Enthusiasm guest spot, to name a few. Now she’s heading back to New York City for CBS’ Blue Bloods, where she’ll pop back up as vindictive widow Grace Edwards, more than eight years after the character’s debut.

Fans will possibly remember in the Season 7 premiere when Tom Selleck's Frank met Loughlin's Grace at the memorial ceremony for her husband Martin Edwards, who was killed in the line of duty a decade prior. Her arc involved asking Frank to unfairly flunk her son Louis out of the NYPD training academy, in the hopes that he wouldn't meet the same fate as his father. Frank passed him, and Grace turned into a walking Evil Eye afterward.

Now let's dig into why Grace is back in Frank and others' lives just five episodes before Blue Bloods joins the long list of TV shows ending in 2024.

What Lori Loughlin's Grace Is Doing Back In The Reagans' Lives

I don't want to project here, but it seems to me like Grace Edwards has spent none of the past eight years working on her anger issues where Frank Reagan is involved. According to the synopsis for her episode "New York Minute," Grace appears to still holding onto her grief and rage over not just her husband's death, but also Frank's defiant call all those years ago. Is she going directly after Frank? Nope.

Just as his angering actions affected her son's life, Grace's target lies elsewhere in the Reagan family: Donnie Wahlberg's Danny. Here's the synopsis below:

• Danny and Baez scrutinize an art gallery suspected of selling counterfeit pieces after a detective investigating the establishment is murdered. Also, Eddie is conflicted when she discovers her former partner turned social worker, Rachel Witten (Lauren Patten), crossed the line to get a mentally ill client much needed help; and Frank is upset when an award Danny was to be honored with is rescinded by Grace Edwards (Lori Loughlin), the widow of an NYPD officer killed in the line of duty.

Revenge is a dish best served nearly a decade later and completely out of the blue (bloods regular cast). While that doesn't lay out exactly what Grace's role is in the world that gives her the ability to yoink an award out of Danny Reagan's reach. Or what kind of move Frank is gonna pull after that to make her regret it. [Runs thumb across throat slowly.]

Here's hoping there's some legitimate strife and head-butting drama at stake here, with interesting details emerging about her son Louis' life in the intervening years. And let's hope this ISN'T a case where she rescinds the award for some kind of beneficial reason, like the award is...secretly poisoned!!! I just want to see Loughlin in a shouting match with Selleck and Wahlberg, I'll just admit it.

Also worth noting for Blue Bloods fans is the return of Lauren Patten's Rachel Witten, who makes life troublesome for ex Eddie when she possibly goes above the law to get a mentally ill client the help she requires.

Lori Loughlin Shares Thoughts On Returning To Blue Bloods

Speaking with Newsday, Lori Loughlin reflected on getting the opportunity to reprise her Blue Bloods role at a time when the ensemble cast was still in the throes of adjusting to the endgame. In her words:

Along with several of his co-stars, Tom Selleck has spoken out about how much he still hopes for CBS to change its mind about cancelling Blue Bloods and then order up Season 15. But now that we're only a month away from the very end, those chances seem to be more fleeting than ever.

Not that Blue Bloods is Lori Loughlin’s only acting gig on the small screen in the near future. She was also recently confirmed to be co-starring in the newest drama from Dick Wolf, the prolific producer behind the Law & Order, One Chicago and FBI franchises. Titled On Call, the series centers on a veteran officer paired up with an ambitious rookie to handle patrols in Long Beach, CA, with Loughlin co-starring as a lieutenant. The series will look quite different from Wolf’s other shows, utilizing various forms of non-traditional camerawork, such as bodycams, dashboard cams, cellphones and more.

Blue Bloods airs Friday nights on CBS at 10:00 p.m. ET.

Lori Loughlin was once best known to a generation of millennials for her role as Aunt Becky on Full House, which she reprised for the Netflix sequel series Fuller House. Back in 2019, however, the actress was involved in a college admissions bribery scandal that resulted in time behind bars. Now, years later, Loughlin has spoken out in her first big post-scandal magazine feature, and commenting on her ordeal involved dropping a line from Chumbawamba's most famous song.

And honestly, for an actress who was a hit with many fans in the '90s, why not use a '90s anthem when describing a situation? Speaking with FIRST for Women for her cover story, Loughlin said:

While Lori Loughlin didn't drop Chumbawamba's name or the title of the song – "Tubthumping," despite the widespread belief that the song is called "I Get Knocked Down" – there's no questioning what she's talking about. Her followup line about nobody saying life would "be a breeze" honestly had me thinking of the iconic Friends theme song, but the actress will always be known for Full House. She went on in the interview to address the concept of forgiveness:

Lori Loughlin certainly was surrounded by plenty of negativity starting back in 2019 when details began to emerge about her alleged role in the "Operation Varsity Blues" college admissions scandal, and she eventually pleaded guilty to charges and was sentenced to two months of jail time in a federal prison. While the scandal was breaking, she was dropped from When Calls the Heart on Hallmark as well as Fuller House on Netflix, with Fuller House explaining Aunt Becky's absence in a surprising way.

This wasn't the first time that Lori Loughlin has spoken publicly since her jail time for the college admissions scandal, but the cover story for a magazine is certainly higher profile than some of her other platforms. She has also made a bit of a comeback on the small screen since getting out of prison, including Hallmark's When Calls the Heart spinoff in 2021, Blessings of Christmas at GAF in 2023, and most recently Curb Your Enthusiasm, on which she played a fictionalized version of herself in true Curb style.

Whether her magazine cover is just another step in a larger comeback in showbiz remains to be seen. With a career spanning over four decades, Bob Saget established himself as an extremely talented actor, writer, stand-up comedian, director, and many other things in between. But, starting in 1987, he also became the TV dad that we all could look up to, thanks to his role as single father Danny Tanner on Full House. He’s been a part of comedy and sitcom lovers' lives for some time. So, when Saget suddenly passed away in 2022, many of us definitely felt like we'd lost someone close. And it seems like Saget's co-star, Lori Loughlin, is she still feeling the pain from the loss as indicated by her recollection of the moment she heard her friend and colleagued died.

The actress joined the Full House cast as a recurring guest in Season 2 as Rebecca Donaldson, Danny’s whip-smart co-host on Wake Up, San Francisco and love interest of his brother-in-law, Jesse Katsopolis. Fans ended up loving her so much that her role became permanent. The Summerland actress was in her 20’s when she was cast and she spent many years growing with and becoming close to Bob Saget and her other co-stars. So, when speaking to her co-stars Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber on their podcast, How Rude, Tanneritos!, she revealed the instant heartbreak she felt when she found out the news about Saget’s death. As she put it:

My heart goes out to her. This is the type of experience that stays with a person for a lifetime, and it never gets easier to discuss. Thankfully, she has had her entire TV family by her side during this ordeal, and they still seem to be raising each other up.

Lori Loughlin continued on the topic, talking about what happened after she found out and what the cast did shortly after learning of the tragedy. She also explained that even though it’s been over two years since he passed, it’s still hard for her to believe the fan-favorite comedian is actually gone. And this is something I can completely relate to. She said:

She is undoubtedly right. Bob Saget had such a positive impact on people far and wide. Adam Sandler and Pete Davidson were just two of the long list of people to pay tribute to Saget, noting how funny, kind, and how much he truly cared for others. John Stamos even described how he felt in his eulogy, stating that he doesn’t “have to say goodbye because he’s never leaving my heart.”

I definitely agree with Lori Loughlin that it’s still hard to believe Bob Saget isn’t with us anymore. But, his friends and fans have been celebrating his legacy and keeping his memory alive. Not only that, but Saget's best movies and TV shows are sure to be enjoyed for years to come. When Calls the Heart Season 11 is almost here and, aside from speculating about Elizabeth and Nathan’s new relationship, fans may be wondering what lies ahead for Henry Gowen and Abigail Stanton as well. In Season 10, after Erin Krakow’s Elizabeth saw Martin Cummins’ Henry starring at Abigail’s Café and going to her door, it was seemingly teased that perhaps this may not be the end of his relationship with Stanton. Now, Krakow is discussing whether or not fans may actually see Lori Loughlin's Abigail return during the new episodes.

Abigail was last seen in Season 6 as she was written off due to her portrayer's role in the college admissions scandal in 2019. Within the show Henry still obviously loves and misses Stanton, which is enough to wonder if she could be brought back to tie up loose ends. After Lori Loughlin reprised Abigail for the spinoff, When Hope Calls, there seemed to be a chance that Loughlin's character could return to Hope Valley. Erin Krakow, without name-dropping her former co-star, addressed the matter while speaking with TV Insider, and her answer may evoke both disappointment and optimism in fans:

It should be pointed out that while Krakow would be excited to see Abigail return, that doesn’t necessarily mean that has to happen with Lori Loughlin. Roles have been recast before and, if the series chooses to bring back the character, it’s possible the Full House alum may not be invited back. Of course, nothing seems to be official on wen it comes to Abigail or Loughlin's futures with the franchise. Still, the prospect of Stanton's return, whether she’s played by Loughlin or not, is still pretty exciting. Though I'm honestly hopeful that the actress will remain in the role should more be done with it.

On the other side of this question, I'm curious to see how Henry continues to move on from his former love in Season 11. He will have Elizabeth by his side, at the very least, which is a positive for him. Henry and Elizabeth have been given more scenes together as the series has pushed on, and Erin Krakow seems to relish that:

How Abigail could even be brought back in an organic way is unknown, but believe me when I say I'm eager to see that play out somehow. While the 90210 alum has been slowly getting back into acting following her legal issues, it’s unclear if and how Hallmark would welcome her back to When Calls the Heart, even if it’s for a brief appearance.

Even though Lori Loughlin and Abigail Stanton will not be returning to WCTH for now, there's still a lot to look forward to. Season 11 will pick up following a cliffhanger from the Season 10 finale, which saw Chris McNally’s Lucas getting attacked. We'll also surely see the fallout from his breakup with Elizabeth, and it's likely that emotions will run high. After the series also celebrated 100 episodes last season, there should (hopefully) be surprises will be in store this season. So, rest assured, fans, there's a lot to keep you occupied as you speculate on the future of Loughlin's Abigail.

Here’s some simple TV math: the longer a series airs, the less likely its original cast will remain intact, regardless of how beloved the show or actor is. The majority of popular series over the years have gone through at least one major exit, and it’s bad enough when changes are revealed early, and characters’ last episodes are planned out and logical. It's far worse, however, when actors suddenly exit projects without any on-screen closure.

Surprise departures can curb audiences' enjoyment of a show, whether from disrupted cast dynamics or shoddy storytelling. And depending on how controversial the exits are, a key departure can completely derail a show's success. So let’s take a look back at some of the most memorable instances when stars parted ways with projects without closing their characters' stories.

Anna Faris (Mom)

During Mom's hiatus following Season 7, co-star Anna Faris suddenly revealed she was leaving the show, which reportedly shocked the creative team as much as fans. Allison Janney & Co. went forward with the eighth season, occasionally referencing Faris’ character Christy, but it was canceled without any kind of conclusion for the character, though the creators made it clear they didn’t want to kill her off.

Chevy Chase (Community)

Community already suffered the exodus of creator Dan Harmon and more creatives in Season 4, and then Chevy Chase allegedly used a racial slur on the set, leading him to drop out of the NBC comedy through mutual agreement with network execs. His character Pierce appeared multiple times after his official exit, due to episodes airing out of order, as well as that hologram cameo in the Season 5 premiere, but the SNL vet never returned as a regular, and was unceremoniously killed off via dialogue two episodes after the cameo.

Danny Masterson (The Ranch)

That ‘70s Show vet Danny Masterson reteamed with Ashton Kutcher on Netflix’s sitcom The Ranch, but was fired in December 2017 after multiple assault allegations against him were publicized. Masterson later faced trial, was convicted and sentenced to prison in September 2023, and did not return as Rooster Bennett, who was written as missing and presumed dead via motorcycle accident.

Suzanne Somers (Three's Company)

Three’s Company's early seasons were bolstered by the popularity of Suzanne Somers’ Chrissy Snow, but network execs reportedly refused the actress’ salary increase requests, leading to a unique stalemate agreement. Somers made only contractually obligated appearances in Season 4 episodes' closing tag scenes, which she filmed separately from her co-stars. Somers was fired by the season’s end, with Chrissy said to be caring for her sick mom in Fresno.

Corey Hawkins (The Walking Dead)

Corey Hawkins joined The Walking Dead Season 6 as comic book fan-favorite Heath, but Straight Outta Compton's release that same year shot him to Hollywood’s stratosphere. In one of TWD’s most baffling moments, Heath disappeared in Season 7, and was never seen from again. Reportedly, Heath would have returned for the movies, but those plans have been shut down.

Emmy Rossum (Shameless)

The final two years of Shameless' 11-season run were without Emmy Rossum’s Fiona Gallagher. The actress announced her shocking exit in 2018, and Fiona’s final appearance came in the emotional Season 9 finale. Despite fans’ hopes, Rossum opted not to return for cameos in the remaining seasons, and the series finale wrapped without any major Fiona updates.

Mandy Patinkin (Criminal Minds)

Criminal Minds began its lengthy run with Mandy Patinkin’s Jason Gideon running the BAU, but that changed ahead of the third season when Patinkin left the show entirely over his disgust with the violent storylines. (He called joining the crime drama his “biggest public mistake” in 2012.) Gideon was replaced and killed off-screen seven seasons later, with Ben Savage guest-starring as young Gideon in flashbacks.

Columbus Short (Scandal)

Ahead of Scandal's Season 3 finale, co-star Columbus Short was arrested over a physical altercation at an L.A. restaurant, and eventually confessed he’d developed drinking and drug habits while dealing with a divorce and custody disputes. Short was fired from Scandal in April 2014, and his character Harrison Wright was revealed in Season 4 to have been killed off.

Gina Carano (The Mandalorian)

Former MMA badass Gina Carano landed the role of Star Wars merc Cara Dune in The Mandalorian, but lost the gig in February 2021. Following a series of controversial social media moves, Lucasfilm announced she would no longer be involved in the show. Cara Dune was not recast, and has not returned to the franchise since the Season 2 finale.

Valerie Harper (Valerie)

The Hogan Family began its existence as Valerie, starring the Emmy-winning Valerie Harper as its lead matriarch for two seasons. She was later fired after salary disputes and sued NBC and production company Lorimar. While her initial claims were dismissed, a judge ruled Harper was indeed wrongfully terminated, netting her a financial win. Her character suffered an offscreen death, leading to the series' name changes.

Robert Downey Jr. (Ally McBeal)

Following a string of 1990s scandals, Robert Downey Jr. landed the role of love interest Larry Paul in Season 4 of Fox’s hit dramedy Ally McBeal, which earned him a Golden Globe. But additional arrests in late 2000 and 2001 led creator David E. Kelley to cut ties with RDJ completely. The fifth season, which would have chronicled Ally and Larry’s post-wedding bliss, had to be completely rewritten.

Shannen Doherty (Charmed)

Though Charmed’s eldest sister Prue Halliwell was the trio's most powerful, the third season finale left Shannen Doherty’s character facing possible death. Though presumptions held that she’d return for Season 4, tensions and more issues surrounding Doherty and Alyssa Milano led to Doherty’s firing via phone call. As such, Prue’s wounds turned out to be fatal, but Doherty did not return for the funeral episode.

Clayne Crawford (Lethal Weapon)

Fox’s iteration of Lethal Weapon paired Rectify vet Clayne Crawford with Damon Wayans. But instead of buddy cop love, reports indicated strife and hostility building between the co-stars, along with complaints about Crawford's directorial work. His exit was reported on the day of the Season 2 finale, which ended on a cliffhanger for his character Riggs, who was unsurprisingly revealed to have succumbed to his wounds. Seann William Scott joined Season 3 as a replacement.

Grace Park (Hawaii Five-0)

After seven seasons portraying Kono Kalakaua for CBS’ Hawaii Five-0 reboot, Grace Park opted to vacate her role alongside Daniel Dae Kim after their attempts to secure pay equality with co-stars Alex O’Loughlin and Scott Caan were turned down by CBS Television Studios. Kono was revealed to have relocated to Carson City, Nevada, as part of a trafficking task force, with Danny sharing their break-up update in Season 9.

Thomas Gibson (Criminal Minds)

Various Criminal Minds stars exited the drama for different reasons, but Thomas Gibson’s case. stands out. Despite the show still being early into filming Season 12, ABC Studios and CBS Studios revealed the actor’s termination via a joint statement in August 2016, less than a week after Gibson was suspended over an on-set altercation with a writer-producer. A later episode revealed his character Aaron “Hotch” Hotchner entered Witness Protection after discovering serial killer Peter Lewis stalking his son Jack.

Roseanne Barr (Roseanne)

One of the '90s' biggest sitcoms returned to ABC in 2018, with Roseanne bringing comedian Roseanne Barr back as its matriarch. But that return only lasted for a single season, as Barr tweeted a message about former White House Advisor Valerie Jarrett that was considered racist, and two months after its Season 11 renewal, Roseanne was effectively canceled. The network relaunched without Barr as The Conners, which kicked off its run by killing off Roseanne Conner via drug overdose.

Charlie Sheen (Two And A Half Men)

Two and a Half Men thrived on the chemistry between Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer, but the show went into hiatus in 2011 due to Sheen’s then-latest rehab stint, at which point the actor began slamming CBS and Chuck Lorre in a variety of high-profile interviews. Season 8 was then shut down mid-production, with Sheen’s firing later capping things off. His public meltdowns continued capturing headlines as Ashton Kutcher helped fill the Charlie void, and unfortunately didn't make good on rumors of his series finale return.

Lisa Edelstein (House)

Across her years as Dr. Lisa Cuddy, House star Lisa Edelstein went from playing contentious boss to adoring lover. Upon Season 7’s end, she and two co-stars were asked to take salary cuts during contract negotiations, with Edelstein being the lone holdout. She announced her exit ahead of Season 8, and Cuddy was later revealed to have quit as Dean of Medicine, with Omar Epps’ Eric Foreman taking on the duties for the final season.

James Garner (Maverick)

For three seasons, James Garner portrayed Maverick's title character Bret Maverick, but the 1960 writers' strike helped bring that run to a sudden close. When Warner Bros. attempted to lay Garner off due to a lack of scripts, he fought back and successfully sued the studio for breach of contract. According to the actor, he personally turned down an offer to return with a raise, saying, “I want out,” and though Bret appeared in an airing-delayed Season 4 ep which was filmed far earlier, Garner did not return, with fill-in stars Roger Moore and Robert Colbert added later.

Katherine Heigl (Grey's Anatomy)

Katherine Heigl took a temporary leave from Grey’s Anatomy in Season 6 to shoot a movie and spend time with her adopted daughter, which sparked her to request to be released from her contract 18 months early. Disputes have raged on over how her sudden exit was handled, considering Izzy never experienced an official “farewell” scene. Alex Karev’s final ep specifically noted that he and Izzy were back together and raising twins in Kansas. While Heigl notably reunited with former co-stars at the Emmys, giving fans hope that Izzy could return, she has yet to justify those hopes.

Jeff Garlin (The Goldbergs)

Nine months after The Goldbergs co-star George Segal died at 87, lead actor Jeff Garlin vacated the show following multiple HR investigations into allegations of misconduct. The departure was said to be a mutual agreement between the actor and the producers and network, and because it happened in the middle of filming Season 9, the producers used CGI, physical stand-ins, and archival audio to make it appear as if Murray was still around. The writers ditched that idea going into Season 10, though, and revealed Murray's off-camera death.

Freema Agyeman (New Amsterdam)

Freema Agyeman portrayed New Amsterdam's oncology chief Dr. Helen Sharpe for four seasons, and while many expected her back for the fifth and final season, the actress shockingly announced her exit amid the summer hiatus, cheekily pleading for fans to continue Sharpe’s story via fan-fiction. She went on to co-star in the series Dreamland, cementing Sharpe and Dr. Goodwin’s break-up, and though the character did appear on TV in a later Season 5 episode, it was without any overarching updates.

Hartley Sawyer (The Flash)

In 2017, actor Hartley Sawyer landed his stretchiest role yet as The Flash’s Ralph Dibny, a.k.a. Elongated Man. Three years later, in response to his comments about Black Lives Matter, social media users pulled up multiple derogatory and offensive tweets the actor posted between the years of 2009-2014. He publicly apologized for the posts, but a week after waves were made, Warner Bros. TV and The CW fired Sawyer from The Flash, which used an uncredited body double for Season 7’s “Mother” to write Ralph out alongside Sue Dearbon.

Jill Marie Jones (Girlfriends)

Jill Marie Jones crushed it as Girlfriends’ ego-driven Toni Childs for six seasons but was the only main cast holdout who exited the dramedy ahead of Season 7 over her contract expiring. Jones' exit was explained through Toni moving to New York City at the end of Season 6, but Jones spoke openly in 2007 about feeling that Toni’s story wasn’t over and that she'd be willing to return if the writers put something together. Alas, the show was canceled in 2008 before that could happen.

Lori Loughlin (Fuller House)

Lori Loughlin returned to her Full House role of Rebecca for the Netflix continuation series Fuller House, but her appearances ceased in Season 4 after she was fired by Netflix over her and her husband Mossimo Giannulli’s actions regarding the 2019 college admissions bribery scandal. Though the actress was later able to reprise her When Calls the Heart character, Aunt Becky didn't return at all for Season 5.

Kevin Spacey (House Of Cards)

Alongside Robin Wright, Kevin Spacey made streaming TV normal with Netflix’s House of Cards. In the weeks ahead of Season 6's production, Spacey faced widely publicized accusations from actor Anthony Rapp, was subsequently fired by Netflix and was removed from executive producer duties. His character Frank Underwood was revealed to have been poisoned and died ahead of the Season 6 premiere.

Leanna Creel (Saved By The Bell)

Leanna Creel’s Tori Scott remains one of pop culture's biggest curiosities, having slid into NBC’s Saved by the Bell for its final season during a run of episodes lacking Tiffani Thiessen’s Kelly and Elizabeth Berkley’s Jessie. The leather-clad character shook things up for Zack & Co. for just ten episodes, and was never heard from again.

Wayne Rogers (MASH)

Three years after joining CBS' MASH, actor Wayne Rogers grew discouraged by his character Trapper John not reaching his expectations, and unexpectedly opted to quit the hit series ahead of its fourth season. But while fellow exiting co-star McLean Stevenson was able to be written out of the Season 3 finale, Trapper John's absence had to be explained away in the Season 4 premiere without Rogers around.

Ruby Rose (Batwoman)

Batwoman’s first foray into live-action saw Ruby Rose wearing Kate Kane's cape and cowl, but she left the Arrowverse series shortly after the first season ended. Reports noted she was fired over on-set behavior, with Rose claiming the show’s taxing nature led her to suffer back surgery following an alleged on-set accident. Replaced as a lead by Javicia Leslie's Ryan Wilder, Kate later returned in a different physical form without Rose’s involvement.

Kate Jackson (Charlie's Angels)

O.G. Charlie’s Angels star Kate Jackson won viewers’ hearts for three years as Sabrina Duncan, which is when she followed former co-star Farrah Fawcett out the door. Jackson spoke warily of the writers’ scripts, and after being denied the opportunity to join Kramer vs. Kramer due to scheduling, she intentionally caused an on-set mess that led to her dismissal ahead of Season 4. Replaced by Shelley Hack’s Tiffany Wells, Sabrina was revealed to have left the agency to become a mother.

Jon Seda (Chicago P.D.)

Jon Seda’s Antonio Dawson jumped from Chicago Fire to P.D. to Justice and back again for seven years. Surprisingly, NBC and Wolf Entertainment chose not to renew Seda’s contract ahead of Chicago P.D.'s seventh season, and he was let go. Later episodes revealed the character fell back into pill addiction following the prior finale's cliffhanger, and he was checked into rehab, eventually moving to Puerto Rico after resigning from the force.

Selma Blair (Anger Management)

Charlie Sheen followed Two and a Half Men with the comedy Anger Management, co-starring Selma Blair for part of its run as his colleague and fling interest Dr. Kate Wales. Conflict between Blair and Sheen bled into the tabloids, and a reported ultimatum from Sheen led producers to fire Blair, with her character suddenly being explained away as having moved to India.

Lori Loughlin played an important role as Aunt Becky on ABC’s Full House, not just as an under-rated mother figure for DJ, Stephanie and Michelle after the death of their own mom, but as the woman who would eventually marry and have twins with John Stamos’ Uncle Jesse. While playing the TV wife of a perceived sex-crazed Casanova like John Stamos might not seem like a tall order, Loughlin recently revealed that Stamos had a ritual of sorts any time Jesse Katsopolis and Becky Donaldson had a smooch in the script, and now I’m wondering how little Nicky and Alex even made it into existence. 

Aunt Becky entered Full House in Season 2, but back then she was still Rebecca Donaldson, co-host of the fictional morning show Wake Up, San Francisco alongside Bob Saget’s Danny Tanner. By Season 4, though, she was an official member of the Tanner family after marrying Uncle Jesse. Lori Loughlin will likely have Full House fans rethinking the “You may now kiss the bride,” part of those nuptials — as well as every other romantic moment between the two — after she told former co-star Dave Coulier on the Full House Rewind podcast: 

Lori Loughlin recalled the story with a laugh, so clearly she didn’t take it too hard, although I have to admit I’d be tempted to ask the writers if maybe a divorce was in Jesse and Becky’s future. This revelation has me thinking back to how often the adorable couple shared kisses — and wondering how often John Stamos really did pull the Doritos-and-cigar trick.

It seems a bizarre choice for an actor, who you’d think would want to make his scene partner’s experience as pleasant as possible. On the other hand, it could be seen as next-level trolling, and respect to Stamos if he actually continued it for the duration of the eight-season series. It’s certainly a different approach to other famous co-stars — Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, for example, where the Sandman’s wife Jackie actually requested that he “give Jennifer some sort of good time” when they kissed.

However offensive John Stamos’ breath, Lori Loughlin did reprise the role of Aunt Becky for the Fuller House spinoff in 2016, so it must not have been too traumatic. The bond that formed between the TV spouses seems to have endured over the years — as is the case for most of the Full House cast — and Stamos struggled in the aftermath of Loughlin’s college admission scandal. He faced backlash for defending her, at one point dropping an F-bomb in frustration over what was happening to his TV family.

Lori Loughlin has remained relatively quiet since serving her jail time, save for two Great American Family movies. Her most recent project, Blessings of Christmas, aired as part of the network’s block of holiday films. Hopefully her co-stars these days are keeping it minty fresh.

Moms always deserve more credit than they get, and that goes for the wonderful matriarchs who have graced our television screens over the years. Characters like Carol Brady and Clair Huxtable are names that easily come to mind when thinking about the best TV moms, but there are so many more that deserve to be mentioned.

Sometimes mothers make mistakes despite trying their best. Others show their love in more unconventional ways, and some just seem to always get outshined by other members of their family. For one reason or another, below are some fantastic TV moms who never got enough credit.

Ruth Fisher (Six Feet Under)

Ruth Fisher’s whole life changed when her husband was killed in a car accident in the Six Feet Under series premiere. Not only was she tasked with continuing to run her family’s funeral home business, and come to terms with her own guilt, loneliness and identity, she had to help guide her grown children through their own grief. Ruth (Frances Conroy) wasn’t perfect — no issue on the HBO drama was black-and-white — but there was no question that she had put her children’s needs first for her whole life. 

Beth Pearson (This Is Us) 

When your mother-in-law is the indomitable Rebecca Pearson, it’s pretty easy to get overshadowed as a mom, and that’s precisely why Beth Pearson (Susan Kelechi Watson) on This Is Us never got enough credit. Her husband Randall was definitely a good partner, but Beth was the real MVP of the parenting dynamic duo, often able to anticipate her family’s emotions and sniff out any scheming going on with their three daughters. She even became a mother figure to many more by opening her own dance studio. 

Sarah Braverman (Parenthood) 

Parenthood gave viewers plenty of different family dynamics to dissect, and Kristina Braverman was tough to beat as a mother, going so far as to open up a charter school for children with special needs. So it's no wonder that her sister-in-law, former wild child Sarah Braverman (Lauren Graham), was never given much credit. Sarah struggled to raise Amber and Drew as a single mother, and boy did they not make it easy on her. She may not have always had all the answers, but she loved her kids first, and in the end they figured it out together. 

Rainbow Johnson (black-ish) 

Rainbow Johnson (Tracee Ellis Johnson) on black-ish deserves all the flowers, serving as the model of a successful working mom. Rainbow juggled being a doctor and raising five children, whom she respected as individuals. She put their problems ahead of her own to make sure they had a better life than she did as a kid. 

Lorelai Gilmore (Gilmore Girls) 

Lorelai Gilmore’s daughter Rory could always count on her mom for a snappy joke or pop culture reference, but Lorelai (Lauren Graham) certainly didn’t have it easy. Her relationship with her own parents was strained after getting pregnant at just 16 years old, making it all the more impressive when she made a life for her and Rory in Stars Hollow. She struggled at times to be patient with her own daughter’s mistakes, but she wasn’t too proud to accept her parents’ help when it benefited Rory. 

Marge Simpson (The Simpsons) 

Would the Simpson family even survive without Marge? Easily the most underappreciated of the family of five, Marge never got any help from Homer over the decades, as she raised three extremely different and never-aging children. In fact, Homer was more of a fourth child in that equation, and still Marge loved her husband and her kids. I don’t think there’s a person in the world who could blame her for the occasional frustrated grunt. 

Michonne (The Walking Dead) 

Despite her own trauma of losing a child in the walker outbreak, The Walking Dead’s Michonne (Danai Gurira) adopted Carl and Judith as her own (before going on have her own child with Rick Grimes), and she never hesitated to put her own life at risk to save them. 

Penelope Alvarez (One Day at a Time) 

Despite being a war veteran struggling with her own PTSD and depression, Penelope Alvarez (Justina Machado) was always able to give her children the attention they needed on One Day at a Time. She made the time, even while working as a nurse and living with her traditional Cuban mother. 

Morticia Addams (The Addams Family) 

Morticia Addams (portrayed in the 1964 sitcom The Addams Family by Carolyn Jones) was the epitome of unconventional, but was there ever a TV mom who encouraged her children to be themselves more than her? Never bending to the expectations and societal norms of those around her, Morticia was always loyal to and protective of her family, if not a bit macabre. 

Jane Villanueva (Jane the Virgin) 

Talk about life taking you in unexpected directions! Gina Rodriguez’s Jane Villanueva on Jane the Virgin had her own matriarchs to thank for being able to figure things out when she got pregnant by accidental artificial insemination. Such grace in the most unique of situations. 

Claire Dunphy (Modern Family) 

Nobody said you had to have everything together in order to be a good mom. Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen) of Modern Family often struggled with how to approach the myriad hurdles of her blended and extended family, but fans found her relatable, and she deserved a lot more credit than she got. 

Gemma Teller Morrow (Sons of Anarchy) 

The characters in the world of Sons of Anarchy all knew one thing: Don’t mess with Gemma Teller Morrow (Katey Sagal) or her family, including any of the members of SAMCRO. Gemma was willing to kill or die for her son Jax, and boy did she prove it.  

Laurel Park (The Summer I Turned Pretty) 

Often the less-fun mom in comparison to her BFF Susannah, Laurel Park (Jackie Chung) was undoubtedly more responsible of the two in the book-to-screen adaptation of The Summer I Turned Pretty. Even when grief drove her and Susannah’s kids to make some pretty bad decisions, she handled the teens with understanding and grace. 

Skyler White (Breaking Bad) 

Boy did people give Skyler White (Anna Gunn) grief during Breaking Bad’s run on AMC. Sure, she was complicit in some of Walter White’s money laundering, but it’s not like she was left with much of a choice. Always doing what she thought was best for her family, she was fiercely protective of her kids — even when that meant standing up to her husband when he was at his most dangerous. 

Peggy Bundy (Married… With Children) 

Peggy Bundy (Katey Sagal) had a lot of qualities you might not look for in a good TV mom on Married… with Children. She was lazy, obsessed with the television and didn’t exactly set the best example for the kids. She still deserves more credit than she gets, though, because she was unapologetically herself and nurturing in her own way. 

Roseanne Conner (Roseanne) 

Roseanne Conner (Roseanne Barr) wasn’t perfect on her self-titled sitcom, but what family is? Her and Dan’s struggles to make ends meet while still wanting more for their kids was what made her relatable to so many. Her blunt and brutal honesty was what made her so funny.  

Chilli Heeler (Bluey) 

Chilli, better known as “Mum” to the Bluey viewing audience, definitely doesn’t get as much credit in the fun department as Bluey and Bingo’s dad Bandit, but somebody’s got to remember to pack the goggles, towels and sunscreen for a day at the pool, right? Chilli takes care of a lot of the “boring” stuff, which apparently is not just a thing for human moms. 

Harriette Winslow (Family Matters)  

Harriette Winslow (played by Jo Marie Payton until the middle of the final season) may not get brought up in the “Best TV Moms” conversation all that often, but she definitely should. If for no other reason, she kept her patience with Family Matters fan favorite Steve Urkel a lot longer than many would have. 

Linda Belcher (Bob’s Burgers) 

Sometimes when it comes to moms and their eccentric families, it’s hard to understand how they fit in. That’s not the case with Linda Belcher on Bob’s Burgers, who may be the matriarch, but she’s as big a mess as any of them, and I mean that in the best way. Linda is wild and funny while still being incredibly loving and supportive. 

Jean Weir (Freaks and Geeks) 

Helping your children navigate their formative years is not an easy task, and Jean Weir (Becky Ann Baker) on Freaks and Geeks definitely had her work cut out for her with her polar-opposite kiddos Lindsay and Sam. While her efforts were hit-and-miss, she wanted to connect with them so badly, and you just had to appreciate her goofy, sometimes-overbearing personality. 

Rebecca Donaldson Katsopolis (Full House) 

Of course Rebecca Donaldson (aka “Aunt Becky”) would go on to have twins with “Uncle Jesse” Katsopolis, but Lori Loughlin’s character on Full House was earning mom points years before that, as she gave motherly advice to Michelle, Stephanie and especially DJ after their own mom’s passing. The importance of her role to them can’t be overstated. 

Jessica Huang (Fresh Off The Boat) 

Jessica Huang (Constance Wu) may be the queen to her kids’ pawns in the chess game of life, but the high expectations the Fresh Off the Boat matriarch set for her children just showed how much she believed in them. She was firm but devoted, and sometimes we forget those tough moms have just as much love to give. 

Carol Foster-Lambert (Step By Step) 

Anybody who successfully blends families the way the Fosters and Lamberts did on Step by Step deserves some major mom snaps, especially given the spectrum of personalities Carol Foster-Lambert’s children and stepchildren exhibited. There were growing pains, of course, but it couldn’t have worked without the endless love and support of Suzanne Somers’ character. 

Jane Chapman (Big Little Lies) 

Given the trauma that Jane Chapman endured on Big Little Lies, there’s no wondering why she’s slow to trust people, or why she’s so protective of her son Ziggy. Never as perky or interesting or seemingly perfect as the other moms around her, her strength to survive and provide for Ziggy shouldn’t go unheralded. 

Kitty Forman (That ‘70s Show) 

We all know that one mom who unofficially adopts all of her kids’ friends as her own, and on That ‘70s Show, it was Eric and Laurie’s mother Kitty Forman (Debra Jo Rupp). It speaks volumes that everybody always felt at home there, despite her husband Red’s eternally grouchy disposition. She may not get enough credit as a great TV mom, but she’s unrivaled in infectious laughter. 

Carmela Soprano (The Sopranos) 

All moms have a lot on their plates, and let's face it: Parenting is just plain hard. So Edie Falco's Carmela Soprano on The Sopranos probably deserves some extra credit for also being married to a mob boss. Even if she didn't deserve it, I'd give it to her anyway.

Annie Marks (Good Girls) 

Good Girls shows just how far moms will go when they’re desperate to provide for their children. Mae Whitman played young single mother Annie Marks, but despite Annie's dangerous lifestyle, she prioritized her child and was a beacon of support during an emotional coming out story. 

Christy Jolene Plunkett (Mom) 

A special shoutout to the moms who are figuring it out after not having a particularly good role model themselves. This was the case for Christy (Anna Faris) on Mom, who always did her best as she faced her own struggles with sobriety and the complex relationship with her mom Bonnie. 

Amy Sosa (Superstore) 

Amy Sosa’s kids may not have been the central focus of Superstore, but America Ferrera’s character gave a voice to many mothers out there through her storyline about having to return to work after 48 hours because the store didn’t offer maternity leave. 

Cindy Walsh (Beverly Hills, 90210) 

Good role models seemed to be severely lacking on Beverly Hills 90210, so that should have made Cindy Walsh (Carol Potter) stand out more as one of TV’s greatest moms. She kept Brandon and Brenda grounded, while providing support as needed to their friends. Cindy put her own pain aside, only rarely showing that she, too, had struggled with the move from Minnesota to the sunny West Coast. 

Samantha Stephens (Bewitched) 

It can’t be easy being a witch living in a non-magical world, but that’s the reality Elizabeth Montgomery’s Samantha Stephens was faced with on Bewitched. Both of her and Darrin’s children also had the nose-twitching powers, and while it’s debatable whether those abilities were best kept under wraps or not, it’s obvious that Samantha just wanted to keep her husband happy and do what was best for the kids. 

Sam Fox (Better Things) 

Loosely based on Pamela Adlon’s own life as a single mom of three daughters, Better Things’ Sam Fox was the perfect combination of protective but not overbearing. She was willing to lay down the law, but the lines of communication were always open for honest conversations about real — and sometimes tough — issues. 

Nora Walker (Brothers & Sisters) 

Nora Walker (Sally Field) isn't often mentioned in the same sentence as TV mom icons like June Cleaver or Clair Huxtable, but she should be. In the wake of her cheating husband's death, Nora didn't have just her own problems to deal with, but she took on those of her grown children as well. In addition to being graceful, honest and loving through all the ups and downs, Nora knew how to keep the wine flowing too.

This is really just a handful of TV moms who don't get enough credit, because if we're being honest, can we ever really show too much appreciation for the women who doled out life lessons from the television screen? I didn't think so. 

Fans of Hallmark's When Calls the Heart were recently treated to the Season 10 finale, which saw the end of Elizabeth and Lucas’ relationship. Hopefully, they won't have to wait too long for more new episodes, as the series was able to film Season 11 amidst the strikes because of an Interim Agreement with SAG-AFTRA. There's still much to look forward to from the romance drama, but one of the lingering unknowns is the potential involvement of past cast member Lori Loughlin. After the college admissions scandal, one might be wondering if she could ever return, and the series' co-creator shared thoughts on that.

The Full House alum portrayed Abigail Stanton on the Hallmark series for its first six seasons. She exited in 2020 after having played a role in the admissions controversy, which saw dozens of people charged with bribery, wire fraud and more. However, the star returned for spinoff When Hope Calls in 2021, appearing in two episodes. Now that it’s been a few years, could fans see Abigail return? Co-creator Brian Bird teased on the Heart to Hearties podcast that it’s not out of the realm of possibility:

So it sounds like if anything is actually in the works, the producers are in the early stages when it comes to having discussions. That's, at the very least, a somewhat positive sign for anyone who's been hoping to see Abigail again. It should also be mentioned that Hallmark has been slowly moving Lori Loughlin back in its projects, though she has also joined rival GAC. That latter point could create scheduling hurdles if something is really to happen. Even so, three years after the scandal, which she served two months in prison for, the actress seems to be doing well and shifting back into her career. Brian Bird spoke to Loughlin's current status with these sentiments:

For the time being, fans will want to be cautiously optimistic about the actress' future with the show, but it's hard not to get a little excited over this update. If Lori Loughlin does return, there’s no telling in what capacity it would be. She could make a cameo or could even have an arc that lasts a few episodes. Or perhaps she could recur on the show before becoming a series regular again. That's all purely speculation at this point, though.

The actress experience a number of setbacks connected to the college admissions scandal. For example, she was cut from the final season of Fuller House because of it. Ultimately, in 2022, she made her first post-scandal TV appearance, appearing at a telethon for a Los Angeles-based food pantry and charity. Last year, she was also part of GAC’s Christmas movie lineup alongside Full House co-stars Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber. While her career prospects are seemingly looking up, we'll just have to wait and see if she returns to When Calls the Heart.

Season 11 of When Calls the Heart has no set premiere date as of right now, and fans are surely eager to see what lies ahead for the residents of Hope Valley. Those who are familiar with the Full House franchise are likely aware that the cast of the TV property are incredibly close. Over the years, John Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Lori Loughlin and their co-stars have fostered tight bonds both on and off camera. However, from the outside looking in, it would seem that the tight-knit group has been rattled by a few elements, including Cameron Bure’s traditional marriage comments. The actors themselves haven’t spoken out on the state of their relationships, but a source now claims is allegedly “devastated” that his found family is seemingly falling apart. 

This rumor allegedly comes from one of the actor’s friends, who spoke with RadarOnline.com. The unnamed source referred to his purported pal as “a get-along kind of guy” and claims that the Jesse Katsopolis actor “really believed” in the themes conveyed by he and his co-stars’ two sitcoms. With that, it apparently pains him to see his family in disarray at this time:

The first conflict to truly cause strife amongst the group was Lori Loughlin’s college admissions scandal, which saw her serve two months in federal prison. John Stamos has since defended Loughlin but, as the source mentioned to RadarOnline, he “caught a lot of crap for defending Lori” and that’s purportedly why he’s opted not to speak on Candace Cameron Bure’s situation. In November 2022, Cameron Bure stirred up controversy after she stated that Great American Family would heavily feature traditional marriage, likely meaning that LGBTQ+ relationships would not be featured.

This stance apparently brought the actress into conflict with her on-screen sister, Jodie Sweetin. After JoJo Siwa spoke out against Candace Cameron Bure’s comments, Sweetin supported the pop star and has since spoken out about being an LGBTQ+ ally. One of the latest updates on their reported squabble alleges that Cameron Bure was upset with Sweetin for publicly taking a stance on the matter as opposed to speaking with her one-on-one first. 

These controversies apparently aren’t the only situations that are said to be weighing on John Stamos, as he’s also still processing the death of Bob Saget – his longtime friend and co-star. The beloved actor and comedian died in January after experiencing blunt head trauma. Stamos, who sentimentally eulogized Saget, got real about mourning his friend at the funeral, which contributed to what he called “the hardest day” of his life. His alleged friend also said: 

It’s fair to say that the cast has been through a lot over the past few years. However, there may be reason to believe that the tension is cooling off. Some Full House stars are getting ready to reunite, as Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber and Dave Coulier will all appear at ‘90s Con in March. Only time will tell whether Cameron Bure and Sweetin will address any differences they have and whether they, John Stamos and their colleagues can re-establish the tight bond they once had.

2019 was not a good year for Lori Loughlin’s daughters Olivia Jade and Bella Giannulli. The college admissions scandal occurred when the Full House alum and actress Felicity Huffman (among others) faced charges for allegedly bribing a scam artist to get their kids enrolled in esteemed universities. Three years later, here is how Lori Loughlin’s daughters have allegedly been doing since the college admissions scandal.

It must not have been easy for Olivia Jade and Bella Giannulli to have been in the public eye for unfortunate reasons ever since their mother pleaded guilty during the college admissions scandal. She received two months of jail time with her husband serving five months. As reported by ET, a source said these sisters have allegedly gotten plenty of support since that hectic time, sharing:

It's always a blessing to have your friends there for you during your darkest times. The Giannulli sisters' lives have changed since their parents' involvement in the college admissions scandal was revealed. According to People, Bella would talk about how hard it was to escape the harsh attention the family had as there would be three paparazzi cars waiting outside their home for any opportunity to take a picture. It also was heartbreaking for her that four days after this was going on, her “first love” broke up with her and she couldn’t even mourn the relationship well with everything going on.

As for Bella’s younger sister Olivia Jade, she dealt with some major repercussions herself. Two days after the scandal, the social media influencer was dropped from her deals with Sephora and TRESemmé. She also experienced public shaming and ridicule like receiving rowing jokes that referenced her parents getting her into the University of Southern California’s rowing team even though she’s not a rower. 

Olivia Jade and Bella are no longer enrolled at USC for reasons that have not been addressed by the university due to their student privacy laws. The same ET source added more details about how the lives of the two sisters have changed.

So, it appears that even though this college admissions scandal brought about some heavy-handed drama for the family, these two sisters have seemingly made it through. Since their parents' prison sentences have ended, Bella has launched a podcast with actress Jami Belushi called The Nail Polish Sisters where they explore a topic they’re passionate about with friends and professionals. As for Olivia Jade, she competed on Season 30 of Dancing with the Stars where she faced elimination and finished in eighth place. She’s also been posting content on her YouTube channel and reportedly dating Euphoria’s Jason Elordi. 

Lori Loughlin’s daughters Olivia Jade and Bella Giannulli have reportedly been doing well and starting a new chapter in their lives following the college admissions scandal. Most of the Full House cast has remained mum yet supportive of co-star Lori Loughlin after she made headlines for allegedly falsifying information to get her daughter admitted to the University of Southern California. The allegations led to her missing out on Fuller House’s final season, and Hallmark ending its relationship with her. Following a short time in jail, Loughlin hasn’t spoken much about the admissions scandal and neither has her Full House family until now. Her TV husband John Stamos casually dropped an f-bomb while talking about her journey following the much-publicized scandal.

The Uncle Jesse actor spoke up for his former castmate while being interviewed on Armchair Expert. Stamos complimented host Dax Shepard for the nice words he said about Loughlin on the podcast. The TV uncle was skittish to talk about his TV wife given how polarizing she’s become following the headline-making scandal, he explained: 

Being close to Loughlin was a sore spot for Stamos as he’s known her for over three decades. They played everyone’s favorite odd couple for seven seasons on Full House (available through an HBO Max subscription) and its spinoff, Fuller House, for four seasons (available through a Netflix subscription). Their closeness still shines through today as evidenced by their viral TikTok video.

Having worked with Loughlin previously, Shepard called her “a sweet person” before mentioning he disagreed with her alleged actions. This prompted Stamos to speak about the things she’s reportedly done following her imprisonment. He even made an ironic joke about her going to jail rather than him or his male co-stars.

The Big Shots star even tried to clear her name by revealing what she allegedly told him following her jail sentence. He did get permission from the Great American Family star before saying:

While Stamos isn’t her official spokesperson, he managed to get Lori Loughlin’s reported side out to the fans. She hasn’t done too many post-scandal interviews outside of her testimonial video for her volunteer work earlier this year. The former Full House star has been making her way back to Hollywood with her first GAF movie Fall Into Winter, which saw her reunite with her TV niece Candace Cameron Bure in the network’s Christmas lineup.

As for what the two actors are up to now, John Stamos is currently on the series The Big Shots, which can be watched with a Disney+ subscription, and Loughlin is currently filming Fall Into Winter. 

It wasn't so long ago when fans of warm and feel-goody TV movies only had one or two places to seek out content, but times have absolutely changed, as Great American Family is poised to make some huge strides alongside the competition as 2022 rounds out. The cable channel is building up a stable of top-tier talent, which includes former Hallmark staples such as Danica McKellar, Lori Loughlin, and Candace Cameron Bure. While we'd already known what Bure's first GAF project will be, details have now been announced regarding McKellar and Loughlin’s first winter wonderland films for the former music network. So let’s take a closer look at what to expect from each.

Danica McKellar's First GAF Christmas Movie

The Wonder Years vet Danica McKellar will kick off her Great American Family Christmas filmography with a familiar co-star in Neal Bledsoe, for a new movie titled Christmas at the Drive-In, which is currently set for a non-specific “holiday season” premiere window. The two leads previously starred together in the snowy pic The Winter Palace, which aired on GAC back in January, as well as 2017’s Hallmark flick Coming Home for Christmas, so they should have little problem bringing that chemistry back for the new project.

Christmas at the Drive-In will star McKellar as Sadie Walker, who is back in her hometown of Chesterfield, New York in the aftermath of multiple life implosions, including her engagement ending and losing the biggest case of her law career, which resulted in her exiting her firm. Having taken a new college gig as a law professor, Sadie unwittingly finds herself back in a legal battle while trying to save Chesterfield’s drive-in theater. 

But her efforts will face surprising resistance from the late theater owner’s son, Holden (Bledsoe), who just so happens to be Sadie’s former love from childhood. Sounds like some feisty sparks will be flying long before the romantic ones do, but I’m sure all the surrounding snow will put out any wildfires that spring up. 

Having previously taken a step away from the acting world, Danica McKellar will also have a bigger role behind the scenes for Christmas at the Drive-In, as she’ll also be an executive producer for the TV movie. Whether or not this will be the actress’ lone holiday film this year is anyone’s guess, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she finds a way to get something else on the table for the cable network’s Great American Christmas programming block, which starts up on October 21 and runs through the end of the year.  

Lori Loughlin's First GAF Movie

Like Danica McKellar, Lori Loughlin had a working relationship with Great American Family prior to these announcements going public. The Full House and Fuller House vet appeared in the When Calls the Heart spinoff When Hope Calls for its swan song, reprising her former role of Abigail Stanton, a part she’d previously lost due to the college admissions scandal that landed her in all kinds of legal hot water. 

Now, Loughlin will take on a starring role for GAF in the new movie Fall Into Winter, which won’t be a Christmas movie proper, despite its seasonal setting. The romantic comedy will center on the actress’ character Keely, who shares co-ownership of their family’s candy shop business with her brother. Keely is confounded by her bro’s decision to sell his half of the business to his former BFF, and her arch rival. She’s forced to quickly find ways to work with her new partner, Brooks, and comes to realize they may have more in common than just their icy exteriors.

Fall Into Winter is set to air on Great American Family in January 2023, just after the Christmas block has concluded. And now that we know what Loughlin is working on next, we just need to find out what her former co-star Andrea Barber is working on, following the actresses joining Candace Cameron Bure in a GAF-friendly post recently.

The Christmas movie season is almost upon us, and Hallmark won’t be the only network cranking out holiday films. Rival network GAC Family, which has gained a decent amount of Hallmark stars, is making its mark on the most wonderful time of the year. To kick off the holiday season, Candace Cameron Bure will be making her first post-Hallmark movie debut in a Christmas flick, along with some other Full House stars in the lineup!

After Candace Cameron Bure left Hallmark for GAC Family, it was only just a matter of time before she eased into doing movies at her new home. Details of Bure’s Christmas movie were recently released, and viewers will see her reunite this holiday season with Full House co-stars Andrea Barber and Lori Loughlin, as well as fellow former Hallmark star Jen Lilley. Lilley posted a picture to Instagram to get fans pumped for GAC’s Christmas lineup, and she managed to sneak in a Full House reference:

GAC Family has been following in Hallmark’s footsteps by doing Christmas in July, and now they are using some of the network’s biggest stars to solidify their place in the Christmas movie schedule. Although it’s unknown just in what capacity Andrea Barber and Lori Loughlin will be part of the GAC holiday lineup, seeing the two of them with Candace Cameron Bure will be something to look forward to.

This will be Andrea Barber’s first taste of the Christmas movie season, aside from a small uncredited role in the Olsen Twins’ To Grandmother’s House We Go. This could be the beginning of Barber’s new career on GAC Family, but as of now, nothing is official. It would be nice to see DJ and Kimmy together again for more than just a promotional shoot, especially since Fuller House ended a couple of years ago. 

It's interesting to see that Lori Loughlin is part of the Christmas lineup on GAC Family, especially following her turn as Abigail Stanton on When Hope Calls. While Hallmark parted ways with Loughlin following the college admissions scandal, it seems the network is working her projects back into the fold. She did take a role last month, but Loughlin had some legal trouble, as she was filming in Canada but hadn’t been granted approval to travel north of the border. 

Despite everything, the Full House/Fuller House cast still remains close to this day, and the She-Wolf Pack even reunited for Jodie Sweetin’s wedding. So any chance to work together, whether it be a promo shoot or a full project, I’m sure the stars would jump at the opportunity. Fingers crossed that we see Candace Cameron Bure, Andrea Barber, and Lori Loughlin together again for a future movie on GAC Family. In the meantime, it looks like they’ll be headlining the network’s holiday season along with Jen Lilley!

When Lori Loughlin became embroiled in the now-infamous college admissions scandal back in 2019, she ultimately lost her role playing Abigail Stanton in Hallmark’s popular series When Calls the Heart. The show continued without her, and while Lori Loughlin has popped up as the character in GAC Family’s spinoff When Hope Calls, Hallmark had cut ties with the actress. That has seemingly changed this week, as reports indicate her Garage Sale Mysteries series made a return. 

Lori Loughlin filmed a slew of movies for The Garage Sale Mysteries between 2013 and 2018. Those had not been available for some time after Hallmark parted ways with the star following the scandal, but reports indicate that now the Hallmark app has quietly started adding her content back into the fold. Hallmark made the announcement on Facebook a few days ago, adding three of the actress' Garage Sale Mysteries movies to Hallmark Movies Now, its paid app. 

The news is interesting as Hallmark previously cut its ties with Lori Loughlin. The network was definitive in its statement at the time and had even specific cited the Garage Sale Mysteries’ in its announcement about moving forward without the former Full House star. 

However, more recently the actress has been trying to get her career back on track after she was released from prison in 2020 after serving her sentence for her part in the college admissions scandal. A previous report this week indicated Lori Loughlin is trying to get probation permission to go to Canada to film a new project, with some outlets speculating it could be for Hallmark. (This is currently unconfirmed.) If that is true, though, it may explain why the network is quietly adding some of her content back now. 

In addition, in recent months Lori Loughlin has had a slew of supporters. When Calls The Heart creator Brian Bird has said he'd like her to come back, telling Navigating Hollywood she "had done her time." Danica McKellar also defended Loughlin to Insider, mentioning it "would be challenging to find a person who hasn't made a mistake in their life." And Candace Cameron Bure has been supportive throughout the ordeal, calling Loughlin a "dear and close friend" and sharing how they celebrated the Full House spinoff's finale together, even though the actress was not able to be a part of Fuller House's ending.

Lori Loughlin has already made her TV return in GAC Family’s When Hope Calls; however, continuing to pursue new acting roles has come with challenges for the actress. The former When Calls The Heart star was released from prison in December of 2020 after serving time for her role in the infamous college admissions scandal.  It looks like she recently took another acting gig, but there’s a big issue currently standing in her way. 

After getting into trouble with the law, Lori Loughlin faced fines and community service, but according to a new report she’s also dealing with issues related to her probation as well. The actress recently landed a movie gig that would have her filming in Canada; however, because she is still dealing with her two-year probation, she has to get approval from Canada in order to travel there to actually do the work. 

TMZ first reported the news and noted that while a U.S. Judge greenlighted her travel, it’s our neighbors to the north who may present a problem, as they tend to be sticklers for the rules when it comes to those with criminal records. The charge Loughlin plead guilty to in court was a felony, which is more serious than a misdemeanor charge. Loughlin’s husband Mossimo Giannulli also plead guilty. 

The outlet is hedging if she does move forward, this could be work for Hallmark, which is a possibility. The cable channel is notable for filming a lot of the time in Canada and historically Lori Loughlin has done a lot of work with the channel. However, it’s also a possibility this new project could be setting her up with GAC Family. 

I say this because when Lori Loughlin returned to TV, she did return to the WCTH universe, but not on Hallmark. Instead, she appeared as Abigail Stanton on When Hope Calls on GAC Family. It’s also true that her Fuller House co-star and pal Candace Cameron Bure recently left Hallmark for an overall deal at the other network. Given how supportive Bure has been through Loughlin's experiences, it would not surprise me if Lori Loughlin also joined the slew of actors heading to GAC Family.

Of course it’s possible this could be Hallmark or another project entirely. Details are scarce on exactly what the star would be going to Canada for. Fingers crossed that whatever it is there is a Christmas storyline involved. Just sayin,' there's always more room on the holiday movies schedule and the September/October timeline that's mentioned would check out for that! 

Along with dipping her toes back into acting gigs, Lori Loughlin also spent time after getting out of jail volunteering with Project Angel Food. She previously said she had been feeling “broken” after adjusting back into civilian life and it was the organization that helped her find her way.

It doesn't look like Canada has the same open arms policy, but we’ll keep you updated if she ultimately makes it across the border. 

Lori Loughlin has slowly worked her way back into Hollywood since being released from prison in 2020 after the college admissions scandal. While she’s been working as an actress again, Loughlin hadn't made any public appearances or done any interviews until very recently. Highlighting a charity close to her heart led to the actress making her first TV appearance post-scandal. The Full House and Hallmark vet got emotional about healing in her first interview in a long time.

The When the Heart Calls star made a surprise appearance in a telethon for the Los Angeles-based food pantry and charity Project Angel Food. Loughlin was one of multiple stars, including Will & Grace’s Eric McCormack, trying to raise donations for the organization. She appeared in a KTLA video, where she explained how involved she is with the charity and its home delivery service:

Loughlin appears to have found satisfaction in helping those less fortunate after facing personal hardship, and a bright spot after the college admissions scandal. Volunteering seemed to be a bright spot post-college scandal. For the Full House alum, delivering food to those in need was about making human connections and spending time with them. The actress got emotional as she opened up about how the charity helped her after being released from jail:

Volunteering for Project Angel Food has clearly been rewarding for Lori Loughlin, and not the only instance of her doing good after being released from prison. She also paid the full tuition so that two students could go to college back in 2021. 

The actress has come a long way since the college admission scandal, which became public in early 2019. She was investigated for allegedly bribing USC with a "gift" of $500,000 so that her daughters would be accepted into the school for the rowing team... despite the young women having no rowing experience. 

In light of the scandal, her sentencing, and her time in prison, the actress was shunned by Hollywood, with Netflix and the Hallmark Channel dropping her from their programming, although she is making her way back. Loughlin and her fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli received two- and five-month sentences, respectively. The Full House vet served her sentence in 2020 with her husband serving his time in 2021.

Currently, Lori Loughlin is part of the GAC Family drama When Hope Calls as her first post-scandal role. Working with the network has been a family affair, with TV niece Candace Cameron Bure having multiple projects lined up. When Daniel Lissing left When Calls The Heart, the move seemed final. Not only did it happen three years ago, but Lissing’s character Jack was –and spoilers if you somehow missed this – killed off the Hallmark series star in a notable way. Elizabeth Thornton has been dealing with grief and finding new love in the most recent season, but now the show’s spinoff When Hope Calls has premiered a new set of episodes and brought back some old favorites. Daniel Lissing had a small role in Season 2, and it seems that Loughlin may have been the catalyst for the big TV event. 

Speaking in a recent interview, Daniel Lissing spoke out about how he got involved in the new season of When Hope Calls. Formerly a series available on the Hallmark App, WHC headed to GAC Family for Season 2. While Lissing made an appearance in the new set of episodes, he says the decision wasn’t that easy to make, revealing to US Magazine that it was actually Lori Loughlin’s influence that led him to sign on. 

The actor called the return to the franchise “powerful” and “everything it should be,” though he also said it is unlikely that there will be a way to return to the franchise in the future. In Daniel Lissing “A Country Christmas” part had him return in a way that made sense – and again SPOILERS – via a dream that Loughlin’s character Abigail Stanton had. In it, the two connected about Elizabeth Thornton, and Jack said he was “happy” his former love had moved on with Lucas Bouchard (though some fans probably still don’t agree.)

It’s been a saga for Lori Loughlin over the last couple of years, as the then-Hallmark star dealt with charges, court and then a two-month jail stint in the wake of the college admissions scandal. She’s served her time, and is working to rebuild her career. In the interview, Lissing touched base on the “trying time” that his former co-star has gone through, but also noted that he has “gratitude” to be able to work together and play the character one more time. 

Previously, the actress who plays Jack Thornton’s former partner on the small screen, Erin Krakow, wrote out about Lori Loughlin returning to the When Calls universe. She also seemed excited for the actress to get back to work after the events that played out over the past couple of years, including Hallmark letting the actress go. While Daniel Lissing’s stint may officially be over now, we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for Loughlin and her acting career.

Audiences who’d been watching and enjoying Lori Loughlin on TV for decades got quite the shock in March of 2019, when the actress (and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli) was indicted on charges in the college admissions scandal. She was eventually sentenced to two months in federal prison, and ordered to do 150 hours of community service, as well as having to pay a fine of $150,000. Now, though, it’s being said that Loughlin actually spent an additional $500,000 after serving time for the scandal in an unexpected way: she sent some kids to college.

While there are probably still a lot of different opinions about what punishment Lori Loughlin, and the many others involved in the scandal, should have gotten, the fact is that she did finish serving her prison time, and complete the other requirements of her sentence. However, Us Weekly is reporting that, sometime after being released in late December of 2020, Loughlin decided to pay full tuition and expenses for two young people so that they could go to college for four years, each. According to the anonymous source they spoke with, the arrangements were made “privately,” and the star spent over $500,000 to make those college dreams come true.

As you might recall, Loughlin and Giannulli pleaded guilty to fraud for paying that exact amount of money so that documents could be falsified, which would help get both of their daughters, Isabella Rose and Olivia Jade, into USC. So, it would seem that Loughlin is trying to continue to make things right, by spending the same amount to help two other kids go to college, possibly realizing that her actions kept some deserving students out of USC because of the illegal actions of her and her husband. 

The source didn’t say how Loughlin chose the students she assisted, or mention what school she paid for them to attend, but did also say:

Loughlin finished her court ordered community service in early February of this year, with one of the charities she volunteered with being Project Angel Food, and it’s certainly good to hear that she’s continued to help out. It sounds like Loughlin is working very hard to make amends for her actions, possibly in part so that others will allow her resume some semblance of normalcy in her life. After the scandal broke, Loughlin was fired from Hallmark, where she’d spent several years working on When Calls the Heart, as well as starring in many movies for the company. She was also removed from the cast of Fuller House, where she reprised her beloved role of Aunt Becky.

It’s possible that there are people who don’t want to see her be able to get back to her career, but that might be changing. Loughlin was recently asked to bring back her When Calls the Heart character for the spinoff, When Hope Calls, which has moved to GAC Family for Season 2. Hopefully, she truly has learned some important lessons from her part in the scandal, and will take those throughout the rest of her life. 

Lori Loughlin isn’t the only Hallmark star making a TV comeback. The former star of Fuller House and When Calls The Heart fame will be returning to the Hallmark Channel for her first role after she was arrested and served time as one of the parents involved in the now-infamous college admissions scandal. But she’ll be joined on When Hope Calls by another former star Daniel Lissing. Yes, the actor who played the mountie who stole Elizabeth’s heart and then perished in a tragic accident.

When Hope Calls is a spinoff to When Calls the Heart that so far has aired one season in the Hallmark app and later on television. A second season has been commissioned and that season comes with the big Lori Loughlin and Daniel Lissing announcements. When Calls The Heart Star Erin Krakow has at least seemingly shared her feelings about bringing Lori Loughlin into the fold in a new post on Instagram.  

In fact, Erin Krakow shared a photo of herself and Loughlin, who previously was a series lead on When Calls The Heart between Season 1 and Season 6 before being written out of the show following the 2019 admission scandal. She also simply captioned the post, which came around the return news, with a heart emoji. 

Lori Loughlin isn't the only character returning to the When Calls The Heart universe for the two-hour premiere of Season 2 of When Hope Calls, episodes which will be holiday specials titled "A Country Christmas, Part 1" and "A Country Christmas, Part 2." News also broke this week that Daniel Lissing will be making a return to the series and his character Jack will be appearing along with Abigail on the small screen. 

I'm particularly interested in the Lissing development. Given Mountie Jack has been deceased for several seasons on When Calls The Heart now, I'm curious to see what he will be doing on the show. As for Abigail Stanton, the character wasn’t exactly written out of When Calls The Heart; instead, when the show decided to cut the character out of the second half of Season 6, she and her adopted son Cody were simply sent away from Hope Valley to care for her mother on the East coast who had suddenly taken ill around the time of Loughlin's legal troubles. 

In the time since Abigail Stanton’s exit from When Calls The Heart, Erin Krakow has been open about wanting Loughlin to return. She openly told Good Housekeeping prior that she was close to the other actress and hoped to make a return work. 

For his own part, Daniel Lissing seems excited to be back for the special When Hope Calls event and also commented on working with Lori Loughlin again, telling ET:

The college admissions scandal upended the world of actress Lori Loughlin, who had been a beloved part of Full House and it's Netflix revival, along with having a leading role on the long-running Hallmark series, When Calls the Heart. It wasn't long after news of the scandal broke, though, that Loughlin was written out of both Fuller House and the Hallmark drama, but now she's returning to the When Calls the Heart franchise so that she can reprise her role on the spinoff, When Hope Calls.

It was announced today that Lori Loughlin is coming back to play Abigail Stanton in the Season 2, two-part premiere of the series, titled When Hope Calls: A Country Christmas, and that it will debut exclusively on a new network, GAC Family, on December 18. Fans will likely remember that Season 6 of When Calls the Heart was paused with an eye toward figuring out how to believably write Loughlin's character and her son, Cody, out of the story.

When the show returned for the latter half of the season in early May 2019, a voiceover in the first scene (from lead character Elizabeth Thornton) revealed that the coal mine widow and her young child had left Hope Valley to help take care of her mother back east, who'd recently fallen ill. While the narration noted that it was unlikely that viewers would see Abigail and Cody around town again any time soon, there was also some clear wiggle room given, if not for the fact that she was healthy when we last saw her, and it wasn't assumed that any major misadventure would befall the character while she was away.

Now, I'm sure many Hearties will be glad to hear that Lori Loughin is bringing her popular character back to the franchise on When Hope Calls. The spinoff is set in a western prairie town, Brookfield, that's noted for its "deep sense of acceptance, love, and family." In part one of the premiere, the town is attempting to win a Harper's Bazaar competition that will have the magazine name America's #1 Country Christmas Town. The inhabitants are in a flurry of activity as they try to win, but their spirit for the season is lacking, then, according to the official synopsis:

Loughlin will also be a part of the second episode of the premiere, which will see Abigail engage in "a profound conversation with a dear friend from the past."

The actress entered a plea deal for her part in the college admissions scandal in May of 2020, and it was toward the end of August in the same year that she was sentenced to a two-month stay in a federal prison, a fine of $150,000, and serving 150 hours of community service. Loughlin has been on probation since being released in December 2020, but there was some speculation that she'd be returning to work in some capacity when a report from this September 14 (via Deadline) noted that a federal judge in Boston had granted her permission to head to Canada for about a week, roughly in late September through early October, to participate in “a filming production project.”

It appears that reprising her part as Abigail Stanton was the reason for Lori Loughlin's travel to Canada. There's no word right now on whether or not her time on the show will be extended, but fans will be able to watch her return as When Hope Calls airs on GAC Family, December 18, at 8 p.m. EST.

With Olivia Jade Giannulli being announced as part of Dancing With the Stars' Season 30 cast, the influencer will get the chance to be in the spotlight for something that isn't related to her mother Lori Loughlin’s college admission scandal. But just because this stint doesn’t include Full House alum Loughlin doesn’t mean she’s not very involved in her daughter’s next project.

Lori Loughlin served two months prison time after it was discovered her and her husband Mossimo Giannulli paid USC $500,000 for daughters Olivia Jade and Bella Giannulli to attend the university as rowing recruits, despite the girls having no rowing experience. But with their time served, the Giannullis are moving forward, and Olivia Jade said this week (via Page Six) that Loughlin is offering some very motherly advice ahead of the upcoming premiere. In her words:

That sounds like some peak Aunt Becky behavior, if you ask me. And while Dancing With the Stars’ rehearsal regimen is notoriously brutal, 21-year-old Olivia Jade Giannulli probably won’t have too much trouble overcoming some sore muscles. Still, it's very sweet and mom-like that Lori Loughlin is making sure her daughter is taking care of herself physically. (We can assume Loughlin also has advice for packing a lunch from home and not sitting too close to the TV.) According to Giannulli:

I’m sure it will be nice for Olivia Jade Giannulli to branch out and show off her chops for a whole new audience who maybe isn’t familiar with her for very much beyond her parents’ scandal. The YouTube star has tried to put distance between herself and her parents’ crimes since the ordeal went public. She took a brief social media break before returning to her role as an influencer and has worked to shut down rumors as a pop culture punchline. And now she'll get to dance on the graves of all those rumors, so to speak.

The Dancing With the Stars Season 30 cast was formally announced recently and Olivia Jade Giannulli will have some YouTuber competition with Jojo Siwa, who is making history as the first contestant to partner with someone of the same sex. The other hopefuls from the Season 30 cast are Olympic gymnast Suni Lee, Matt James of The Bachelor, Mel C of the Spice Girls, country singer Jimmie Allen, professional wrestler Mike “The Miz” Mizanin, basketball player Iman Shumpert, Christine Chiu of Bling Empire, actress Melora Hardin, Amanda Kloots of The Talk, actor Martin Love, Kenya Moore of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Peloton instructor Cody Rigsby and actor Brian Austin Green.

Nine years after Gossip Girl ended, a new reboot has premiered on HBO Max and a new Gossip Girl is out to carry the torch and ruin lives of Constance’s elite. There are many updated references from what the original would deliver on The CW. While many fans have reveled in the many references, there is one influencer who is calling out the new series for a particular reference.

Influencer Olivia Jade is calling out Gossip Girl for a mistake they made while referencing her and her mother, Full House alum Lori Loughlin. Loughlin made headlines for the infamous College Admissions Scandal, and Jade felt the effects. She took time off social media but came back months later in full force. In one scene of the reboot of the CW series, Constance’s elite Julien Calloway (Jordan Alexander) is talking to her friends about how her losing something just means that she’s winning, bringing up the fact that Jade gained followers when her mom went to jail. The YouTuber responded in a TikTok. Take a look:

Since her mother’s arrest, Olivia Jade has kept up her posts on social media. With Gossip Girl being centered around social media, specifically Instagram, it’s not surprising that they would bring up Jade and Lori Loughlin. However, it’s probably very tiring for Jade to constantly hear about what her famous mother did and have lies be told about herself. Being in the limelight is never easy but Jade seems to be taking it in stride, while calling out where she should.

Meanwhile, Olivia Jade isn’t the only one being brutal to Gossip Girl. The first reviews for the reboot came out very recently and most were not very pleasant. USA Today said it was a “cringe-worthy slog,” while Decider basically said that it will be impossible for the show to live up to the OG GG. Even if the new series may never have the power of the original, at least it’s trying, while also trying to be its own show. Plus, the occasional Easter eggs to the original Gossip Girl bring some fun nostalgia.

Gossip Girl may not have everyone’s love but it’s definitely getting attention. Olivia Jade doesn’t seem to like the new series but just one episode has released so far, so that could change. Since she is a pretty big influencer with such a public life, this may not be the last time she’s mentioned in the series. It will be interesting to see what happens next. Fuller House actress Lori Loughlin made headlines two years ago in 2019 due to her role in a college admissions scandal that ultimately sent her to prison, and now daughter Olivia Jade Giannulli has incited all kinds of jokes for a recent video she posted about "drowning." The college admissions scandal revealed that Lori Loughlin and her husband paid a $500,000 bribe for their daughters to be named as recruits to the University of Southern California crew team, when neither daughter was a rower.

So, Olivia Jade's choice of a water metaphor in her video proved to be pretty unfortunate if her goal was for viewers to take her message seriously. The 21-year-old Olivia Jade posted a video on TikTok about being publicly shamed, which led to her comparing her situation to drowning based on the words of a "very inspirational woman." Take a look at what she had to say, and how she set herself up for an abundance of rowing jokes in the comments!

If you're like me, your first reaction to Olivia Jade's TikTok was the realization that she's the spitting image of her mom, but it's hard to ignore the irony of her choosing a water metaphor to describe the situation that involves her admission to USC as a "rower." She clearly had the best of intentions with her video, and some people in the comments took her words to heart. Others, however, went for some rowing jokes. Just take a look:

One person in the comments just had to point out that being on the crew team generally means needing to know how to swim to avoid drowning. Sure, one of the goals of crew is to actually stay in the boat while racing, so swimming isn't the most important skill, but the rules don't really apply when it comes to faking status as a rower.

Of course, even if Olivia Jade was indeed a USC-level rower, she couldn't save herself from drowning by rowing if she didn't have a boat handy! Or any experience rowing. Fortunately, Olivia Jade seemed to be in a pretty safe location when delivering her speech about drowning.

Considering that a number of coaches were named in the college bribery scandal that sent Olivia Jade's parents to prison, that comment works as both a burn and a joke!

Is this one a joke or a genuine question? There are no emojis, exclamation points, or ALL CAPS letters, and the TikTok commenter raises a valid question. That said, I can't imagine anybody going to the trouble of dropping a rowing comment on Olivia Jade's video that doesn't actually mention crew without poking fun at the situation.

"Just row don't drown" is good advice for anybody in certain circumstances, really. It would be more helpful for people who have crew boats handy (and know how to pull in them) if they're facing trouble on the water, but "don't drown" is not so bad as a reminder, right?

In all seriousness, Olivia Jade might have set herself up for some inevitable mocking as soon as she decided to film a video on a boat using a metaphor about drowning. As a former rower, I can attest to the fact that she was most definitely not in the kind of boats that crew teams use for racing while filming the video.

Only time will tell if and when the infamy surrounding Olivia Jade and her family due to the college admissions scandal will fade, if at all. Lori Loughlin served her time in prison and was released, but that doesn't mean the story is finished, which seems to be the point that Olivia Jade was more or less trying to make with her video. Loughlin was dropped from her jobs on some existing shows (and even Hallmark as a whole) when the scandal broke, and Olivia Jade is clearly still being affected two years later.

After two months of being behind bars for the college admissions scandal, Lori Loughlin has been released from prison. The actress, who made headlines for paying $500,000 to get her daughters into USC under false pretenses, is back out in the world, though it remains to be seen how the scandal will impact her legacy.

Per the details known about her imprisonment, it appears Lori Loughlin served the full two months of the sentence she was given. Deadline reported that her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, is still in prison and will remain there, as he was sentenced to five months in prison. Though her incarcerated time is up, Loughlin was also made to pay a fine of $150,000 fine and serve 150 hours of community service.

As far as what lies ahead for the actress beyond the rest of her punishment, that is currently unknown. Actress Felicity Huffman was also a part of the college admissions scandal, and so far, has landed a starring role on an ABC project that received a hefty pilot production commitment. It's hard to say whether or not Loughlin, who had roles in many series before the scandal, will be able to continue to forge her path in television following her release from prison.

It is worth mentioning that during Lori Loughlin's time in prison, the creator of her Hallmark series When Calls The Heart, Brian Bird, hinted (via Good Housekeeping) that she would be welcomed back on the show to portray her character, Abigail Stanton. The actress was also recently mentioned by Fuller House actress Candace Cameron Bure, who said it was nice to feel her presence via notes and flowers she sent ahead of the Netflix original's series finale.

Given these comments, and the fact that Felicity Huffman still seems able to find work in Hollywood, the chances seem more positive than not that Lori Loughlin will be a part of the television world once again. With that being said, it's unclear what the actress' thoughts are on a comeback of any sort, and whether she'll be wanting to do that soon (if at all), following the scandal and her imprisonment.

There's also something to be said for the court of public opinion, and how television viewers nationwide will feel about Lori Loughlin, Felicity Huffman, and others potentially being welcomed back into the spotlight with open arms. There is no shortage of people upset on the internet that the actress is already out of prison for committing a federal crime, and making comparisons to others who served longer and harsher sentences for much lesser crimes. Only time will tell as to how the scandal will stick with both actresses after their release, and whether the misdeeds will haunt all future prospects the two have in television.

Candace Cameron Bure recently celebrated the anniversary of the series finale taping through a few posts in her Instagram stories. It was here that she revealed a note and flowers that appeared to be from Lori Loughlin. Now, she’s confirmed that they were indeed from her former co-star:

It would seem that Lori Loughlin found a way to celebrate Fuller House’s big moment, despite not actually being with them. And based on Candace Cameron Bure’s comments to ET, it sounds like she really appreciated the gesture from her longtime TV co-star.

Cameron Bure would eventually open up even more about the situation, calling the matter “personal” to the cast of Fuller House and referring to Loughlin as a “dear and close friend.” Reiterating her comments from the KCAs, she stated that the cast is a “family” and they “stand by each other and pray for each other and we'll always be there for each other.”

Loughlin will also have to pay a $150,000 fine and serve 150 hours of community service.

Lori Loughlin and her husband, along with actress Felicity Huffman (who quickly pleaded guilty and was done with her short prison sentence by the end of October 2019) and dozens of others, were arrested and eventually charged in the college admissions scandal starting in March 2019. After originally pleading not guilty to one count each of conspiracy to commit federal programs bribery, along with additional charges of money laundering conspiracy, conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and honest services mail and wire fraud in April 2019, the couple changed tactics and took a new plea deal in late May of this year.

In accordance with that plea deal, Lori Loughlin confessed to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud, while Giannulli confessed to a count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and honest services wire and mail fraud. Earlier today, Giannulli was sentenced to five months in federal prison, along with now having to pay a $250,000 fine, and do 250 hours of community service. Giannulli was also ordered to surrender himself to a facility, which will be chosen by the Bureau of Prisons, on November 19 of this year. There's no word yet on when Loughlin will have to begin her prison sentence.

The couple was accused of paying William “Rick” Singer, who ran the fraudulent Key Worldwide Foundation, a whopping $500,000 in bribes to see that their daughters were named as recruits to the USC crew team, when neither of their children had ever participated in the sport, as a means to help them get admitted to the college. This April, new charges were added for both Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli which would have seen them go to prison for about 50 years total, as well as being forced to pay millions in fines if they were convicted, and it would seem that heaping on those additional potential punishments convinced the couple to agree to the new plea deal.

Loughlin, of course, has famously lost all of her prestige jobs because of her part in the scandal. Within days of news about her part in the scam coming to light, she was dropped from Netflix's Fuller House and all of her work on the Hallmark Channel, including her high profile role on the network's popular series, When Calls the Heart. Seeing as how she now has a prison sentence and lot of community service to complete, it's unlikely that fans will be watching Loughlin on any new shows for the foreseeable future.

Bravo's franchise of Real Housewives shows is a juggernaut that, seemingly, cannot be stopped. It all began with The Real Housewives of Orange County in 2006, and franchise executive producer Andy Cohen has gone on to give the people what they want, with a combined 72 seasons across 10 U.S. cities airing since that first, fateful premiere. When you're in charge of something this big, which requires this many cast members, you need to be on the lookout for new faces. Well, Cohen is now speaking out about the rumors that he's considering adding disgraced Fuller House and When Calls the Heart star Lori Loughlin to the roster.

Apparently, rumors have been swirling that Andy Cohen has been trying to get Lori Loughlin on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, especially now that she's finally decided to plead guilty for her part in the college admissions scandal which led to her losing work on the Netflix revival and Hallmark shows she'd been known for in recent years. Cohen has finally addressed those rumors on his SiriusXM show, Andy Cohen Live. Here's what he had to say:

Sooo, if you listen to the clip of Andy Cohen talking about the possibility of Lori Loughlin coming aboard RHOBH, you can tell that he seems a bit awkward while discussing it. And, who wouldn't be, at this point? Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were arrested and charged in March of last year (along with fellow actress Felicity Huffman and almost 50 others) for their part in the college admissions scandal.

Loughlin and Giannulli were two of 33 wealthy parents found to have paid college admissions counselor William Singer a combined $25 million to bribe college officials, sports coaches and entrance exam administrators to make sure their children were accepted into the higher learning institutions of their choosing. After over a year, it was toward the end of this May that it was announced that Loughlin would plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud.

Assuming a federal judge signs off on the deal, Lori Loughlin will face a punishment of up to two months in prison, a fine of $150,000, supervised release probation for two years once she's done serving time in prison, and she'll also need to complete 100 hours of community service. So, with all this punishment pending for Loughlin, it makes sense that Andy Cohen doesn't want to cast her, or have her associated with his franchise.

Cohen was very careful on his podcast to say nice things about Lori Loughlin, and while you can make of that what you may, you might be wondering, in general, why people would think he wanted her to be a part of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, anyway. Well, RHOBH star Kyle Richards and her family are friends with Loughlin's family, and right after the scandal broke in 2019, Richards spoke about the news on the after show for Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen:

It's not unusual for Cohen to mine the real friendships of Real Housewives' stars when he needs to refresh the casts of his shows, so it makes a lot of sense that fans were speculating about him looking to recruit Lori Loughlin, but it would seem that this was not the case.

When Lori Loughlin was revealed to be a part of the college admissions scandal in mid-March 2019, Fuller House had to think hard and fast about whether or not Loughlin's Aunt Becky would be coming back for the final season of the revival. As we know, the decision was made, within just a few days, to drop Loughlin, meaning that Season 5 wouldn't have any sudden pop in visits from the beloved character. But, seeing as how she'd been around for previous seasons, we were left to wonder how Becky's absence would be explained, and now we know.

Fuller House has now debuted its final nine episodes on Netflix, and while fans were soaking in the last bit of nostalgic fun and good feels from the she-wolf pack and their many assorted friends and family, they were also wondering if any mention would be made of Aunt Becky. So, where is she? Well, it's not until Episode 15 that fans get a reason for her absence, when Jesse stops by the Fuller house and mentions that their young daughter was bitten by another child at school. After Jesse is asked about discussing the issue with Becky, he responds:

We aren't given any more details about why Becky hasn't been around previously in the season, or why she doesn't show up later. And, we get no more mentions of her by the time Fuller House wraps on its final season. I can certainly understand why audiences may have wanted to get at least a bit more information on Aunt Becky, especially as D.J., Kimmy and Stephanie prepared for their massive triple wedding at the end of the season, with a lot of festivities and planning which would usually see a trusted aunt come around to help out. But, I can also see why the producers chose to keep it simple.

The Fuller House cast seems to be a pretty tight knit one, having remained close across the two decades between Full House and the start of the revival. Many of Lori Loughlin's cast mates called her a friend, and when news of her involvement in the college admissions scandal broke, the cast remained largely silent on the matter, but then seemed to refer to Loughlin and their support of her during her legal troubles when accepting last year's Kid's Choice Award for Favorite Funny TV Show.

With Loughlin being in and out of court over the past year, losing all of her acting jobs and now deciding to plead guilty (along with her husband, Mossimo Giannulli) and likely spending several weeks in prison, it has to be hard for her friends to come to terms with Loughlin's actions. On top of that, everyone knows, logistically, why she couldn't bring Becky back, so it makes a lot of sense to give a quick answer for her not being around in one episode and let it go.

It's probably a bummer for Fuller House fans that Aunt Becky couldn't show up for that wedding-palooza, but if you've seen the finale you'll know that there was enough craziness going on that the lack of Becky wasn't even really felt. So, good on Fuller House for keeping the she-wolf pack party going full steam ahead through the last moments.

It's been more than 14 months since (now-former) Fuller House and When Calls the Heart star Lori Loughlin was arrested along with her husband Mossimo Giannulli in connection with the highly controversial college entrance exams cheating scandal, but a justice-minded resolution is finally on the horizon. It's not necessarily positive for the aforementioned couple, however, as both Loughlin and Giannulli have reportedly agreed to plead guilty for their actions pertaining to the scandal. Their plea deals could arguably be more severe, but it's more than the slap on the wrist that people usually assume celebrities get.

On Thursday, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts made the announcement (via NBC News) that Lori Loughlin will be pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud. Her fashion designer spouse Mossimo Giannulli, meanwhile, will plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and honest services wire and mail fraud.

A federal judge will need to agree to sign off on the pair of plea deals in order for everything to be official. If that agreement happens, it looks like Lori Loughlin will be spending two months in prison, and she'll have to pay a $150,000 fine. On top of that, she'll be on a supervised release probation for two years once she's out, and she'll be responsible for performing 100 hours of community service.

Mossimo Giannuli's plea agreement, if approved, will be more than double the punishment than Lori Loughlin got. Giannulli would be spending five months in prison, with a $250,000 fine attached. Though he would also get the same two years of supervised release, that would come with 250 hours of community service.

Here's what U.S. Attorney Andrew Lelling said in a statement on the matter.

It's strange to think back to the Fuller House episode where Lori Loughlin's Aunt Becky does end up behind bars for part of an episode. If only life's biggest issues could get wrapped up in 30 minutes like they do in a sitcom.

Unfortunately for Lori Loughlin, her 2019 arrest and ongoing troubles connecting her to the admissions scandal cost the actress her Fuller House job, even though she and her husband initially pled not guilty to the original charges. Those charged alleged that the couple "gifted" $500,000 to a USC foundation so that their daughters Isabella Rose and Olivia Jade would be accepted onto the school's rowing team, despite the fact that they had zero experience with rowing, and reportedly had no plans do actually show up for it.

Lori Loughlin also had ties severed with Hallmark, and her role was written out of the network's drama When Calls the Heart. The scandal did inspire a Lifetime original movie, perhaps ironically, with Mia Kirshner in the role inspired by Loughlin. Her daughters were allowed to remain at the school, though they also lost out on various business partnerships in the aftermath.

As of this moment, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli's follow-up court date(s) has not yet been set. Their original trial, prior the plea bargain news, was set for October 2020.

We’ve known for a while that Hallmark made the decision to halt production on When Calls The Heart for a while in order to write out Lori Loughlin. Well, the show was finally back this weekend and it wasted no time in cutting out Abigail Stanton.

During the opening minutes of the show, lead actress Erin Krakow thoughtfully gave fans voiceover while penning the narrative that revealed what happened to Abigail and her foster son Cody. Per the character of Elizabeth Thornton, we learned in the opening moments that we won’t be hearing from Abigail or Cody anytime soon:

What’s fascinating to me is not how swiftly or quickly the whole thing was accomplished, but the words that were used to reveal Lori Loughlin’s exit.

It’s one of those moments where you can totally read Elizabeth’s commentary in two ways. Sure, she’s talking about Hope Valley missing the character, but I can totally get on the conspiracy theory train and read this as a nod at how Loughlin’s own life has taken an unexpected series of twists, also noting that it will be hard but that When Calls The Heart must go on without her.

This whole double meaning stuff can be read into again when Krakow’s characters notes,

Obviously, no one would ever confirm this seeming nod to what is actually going on in Lori Loughlin’s personal life regarding her fall from grace on TV and her alleged role in the college admissions scandal. Regardless, Hallmark has been very clear that Lori Loughlin is cut out not only of When Calls The Heart but also her other Hallmark original movie work. But I still enjoy reading it as intentional, whether or not that’s accurate.

As it stands, after the opener, which also confirmed that Bill and Clara have taken on café duties in the near future, the rest of the episode was devoted to a robbery and more discussions about technology, as cars and the telephone are both newfangled inventions in Hope Valley!

Hallmark is trying to appease fans following the When Calls the Heart hiatus and we got a double episode here with the second part of the episode airing last night, but we’ll have to wait and see if the rest of the season goes off without a hitch down a mayer and also the most prominent male child actor on the show. (By the way, tough break for that kid.)

On the bright side, at least the show is back now and moving forward with its storyline. There was a brief period of time when the whole show felt on uncertain footing, despite the fact When Calls The Heart had already been renewed for Season 7.

As the college admission scandal continues to make headlines, there are not a lot of people who feel empathetic to what Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin have gone through under their intense media scrutiny. Due to their celebrity and soured notoriety, these two actresses have become the faces of the blistering coverage. A lot of the scorn has been directed their way. But there's one person in their corner, sympathetic to their plight: Martha Stewart. Here's what the TV personality said:

Martha Stewart explained her feelings on this scandalous, headline-catching news to Entertainment Tonight. As the businesswoman explained at the Time 100 Gala at Lincoln Center in New York this past Tuesday, she believes the actresses have simply made a very big and unfortunate mistake. And since they are the most famous people involved in this scandal, they are the ones who are getting the most notice and distain from the public-at-large.

Martha Stewart also claims that Loughlin and Huffman "definitely" have a chance to bounce back from these legal troubles once the dust has settled. But of course, it's too early to know whether or not that's true.

As it should be noted, Martha Stewart has spent time in prison herself. The TV personality served a five-month sentence between 2004 and 2005 after she was convicted of several felony charges. She is someone who also made a big mistake, and Stewart received no shortage of press about the legal hassles she dealt with.

As someone who has also been in the hot seat due to an unfortunate series of decisions, Martha Stewart is a little bit more understanding of what Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin are currently dealing with. She has lived through similar experiences and hardships. That said, she is unlikely to change anyone's mind about this media firestorm. At least, not at this time.

Similar to Stewart's controversy, maybe there will be a time when the public is more sympathetic to what Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman are wrestling with. At the moment, however, it sounds like the public conscious on their situation is largely negative. Though, despite what everyone else might say, Martha Stewart appears to be a little more caring and concerned. So, for whatever that's worth, that's something that Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin can appreciate during their legal woes and frustrations.

When it comes to the legal drama involving this college admission scandal, Felicity Huffman has pleaded guilty to charges of mail fraud and honest services mail fraud in early April. Additionally, Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli have plead not guilty to their own charges. They are still fighting their case, though it's unclear how successful (or not) they may or may not be. But one thing's for certain: neither Lori Loughlin nor Felicity Huffman are in enviable positions right now. And Martha Stewart can relate and sympathize with that — even if few other folks can do the same. We will keep you posted on this story.

Hallmark's When Calls The Heart has had to jump through some hoops to figure things out during Lori Loughlin's scandal, but it appears the actress' latest legal woes won't affect the show's future. Series star Erin Krakow took to social media to announce When Calls The Heart will be returning to Hallmark next year for Season 7.

Erin Krakow added that When Calls The Heart will be returning from its hiatus Sunday, May 5 and Monday, May 6 for a two-night return at 8:00 p.m. ET. That much was previously known by loyal Hearties, along with the news that future episodes of Season 6 would be edited to remove Lori Loughlin's Abigail from the screen. Loughlin has been dropped by Hallmark productions entirely, so don't expect her to slink back in for Season 7.

As for what will become of her character Abigail Stanton, When Calls The Heart still has yet to reveal its long-term plan for the series. Right now the options appear to be to either write Abigail out of the drama permanently in a way that doesn't require Lori Loughlin, or recast her character with another actress. Hallmark hasn't hinted to which direction it's leaning, but with the way it's aggressively scrubbing Loughlin from episodes, one of those two things will likely happen.

As the show's producers noted in a prior statement, the show is bigger than the sum of its parts. Some fans may have been skeptical, but now it does truly sound like When Calls The Heart was really just retooling the series to accommodate the drama and not headed for cancellation. Now, if only we knew how these changes will affect Season 6, and if Loughlin's removal will result in changing some future plans that were previously in place.

When Calls The Heart isn't the only series to have dropped Lori Loughlin in 2019, as Fuller House has apparently done something similar. The Netflix original's final season will still air, but it will reportedly not feature Loughlin's Aunt Becky the final episodes. Both moves happened before a recent document was released that revealed more details behind Loughlin's alleged wrong-doing in the scandal, which included her reportedly agreeing to lie to the IRS about the nature of her payment to help Rick Singer.

The payments, as reports have stated, were allegedly bribes meant to ensure her daughters were admitted into USC. Lori Loughlin is one in a group of reportedly 50 people caught up in the controversy, which also involves actress Felicity Huffman. Huffman recently announced she will be pleading guilty, and has seen some impact on her career as well as a result of the scandal.

Hallmark has finally revealed when When Calls the Heart will return to the airwave. In a tweet destined to fill Hearties' hearts with joy, Hallmark has announced that the wait is nearing its end. Furthering the good news is that the show will be returning in a major way. Check out the tweet below:

That’s right! When Calls the Heart will return in less than a month! It has been a month since viewers last caught up with the denizens of Hope Valley. They will be able to check back in with them when the show returns via a two-night premiere in May. With its return date in place, that brings us to the next question. What about Lori Loughlin?

When the show returns, it will do so without original cast member Lori Loughlin, or her character Abigail Stanton. Following the college admissions scandal, Hallmark Channel cut ties with Loughlin in all professional endeavors. That, of course, included an end to her role on When Calls the Heart.

How is the show handling it? When Calls the Heart’s remaining episodes have been edited to remove the presence of Lori Loughlin, EW confirms. The decision means viewers will see no more of Loughlin’s Abigail in Season 6. Along with edits, minor reshoots happened for the retooling. There was another casualty of the cuts besides Abigail.

Season 6’s episode count has been reduced. Instead of having seven episodes of the original order for ten to look forward to, fans now have six of only a total of nine. So, while fans will get a double dose of When Calls the Heart when it returns, they will have fewer episodes long-term.

Lori Loughlin’s Abigail being edited out does not address how the character’s absence will get explained on-screen. Her sudden departure is something that fans will be blatantly aware of when they watch. How When Calls the Heart will handle her exit story-wise is another matter. Will Abigail be called away off-screen? Will the show just never mention her again? It remains to be seen.

The first option sort of finishes Abigail’s story without having to show her. Whereas, the second option would be abrupt and awkward. A recast should be a strong possibility as it would keep the character around. Editing Lori Loughlin out does not preclude that option in the future.

That will probably be dealt with as When Calls the Heart put its current season behind it. Resolving how to move forward required Season 6 to go on a hiatus as things got worked out behind-the-scenes. Late last month, When Calls the Heart’s executive producer provided a message to fans in the aftermath.

Now, When Calls the Heart has solved the issue. Its first episode back will bow on Sunday, May 5 at 8 p.m. ET and the excitement will not end then. On the very next night, a second episode will debut at the same time (8 p.m. ET) on Hallmark.

We’re a few weeks out from news first breaking that some famous names including Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin had allegedly participated in some devious behind-the-scenes behavior to get their kids into good schools during the rough college admissions process. As more and more news breaks related to the case, some parents have ultimately decided to take their medicine and plead guilty in the scandal perpetrated by attorney Rick Singer.

Now, Felicity Huffman has come out to say she is going to be pleading guilty in the college admissions scandal, noting that she is ashamed of what she put her daughter and her family though. Her statement mentions:

While Felicity Huffman was arrested after allegedly paying $15,000 in a “charitable donation” that reportedly went straight into Rick Singer’s pocket to help her daughter cheat on her SAT test and get into a good school. With that money Huffman’s daughter had more time to take the test and her answers were reportedly corrected by the proctor. She gained 400 points on the test after her answers were corrected, allegedly nabbing a 1420 score following the changes.

Some parents who bought into this “charitable donations” scheme also wrote off those donations on their taxes, although those alleged donations have now been proven to have not been donations at all. Fox News reports defendants have agreed to pay the IRS in back taxes for these donations.

Felicity Huffman went on to state that her daughter had no knowledge of the special treatment she was given leading her to a better SAT score and that her “desire to help her daughter” was a “transgression” toward her kid as well as all of us in the public. She also said:

The spotlight on this scandal has mostly focused on When Calls The Heart and Fuller House actress Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli, who were both implicated in the scandal. Felicity Huffman’s husband William H. Macy was not charged, although phone call evidence seemingly indicated he knew about the decision to pay Rick Singer.

Neither Loughlin or Giannulli have pled guilty so far, although the allegations have caused some issues in regards to Lori Loughlin's career. Production on When Calls The Heart was actually on hold after the allegations first came to light and it is also rumored the actress will not be a part of the final season of Fuller House, either. Loughlin has also been dropped from her full Hallmark contract and productions and not just her TV show. Allegations against Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli indicate they may have paid up to $500,000 to get their daughters enrolled into USC by helping them to fake their way onto the crew team at that institution.

Felicity Huffman is among 14 parents who have so far pled guilty in this wide-ranging college admission. Huffman will plead guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest-services mail fraud. She is currently out of jail on a $250,000 bond.

In her statement (via THR), the actress also officially declared that she will be pleading guilty moving forward. The actress was one of 49 individuals who were initially arrested as part of the wide-ranging scandal, which also included nine athletic coaches and numerous other parents. Huffman says she takes full responsibility for what transpired with her eldest child, saying:

Felicity Huffman could face up to 20 years in prison over the charges given her part in the scandal, which has reportedly been dubbed Operation Varsity Blues. Ultimately, a judge will decide whether or not she earns jail time. Huffman also considered making a similar payment when her second child was going to school, but ultimately opted against it, which may work in her favor come sentencing time. She also paid a smaller amount than some of the other defendants during her part in the scandal. Parents involved included parents in both New York City and various parts of California.

Currently, the actress has several projects that have completed filming, a TV miniseries called When They See Us and movies Tammy's Always Dying and Otherhood. However, none of her projects were currently filming like Loughlin's at the time of the scandal, so it's unclear if they will be impacted in any way.

For now, the actress has deleted her social media accounts and has been laying low until she made a statement on Monday. A slew of parents and coaches have yet to plead in the upcoming case, but plenty of people have opinions about the college admissions scandal as the drama has been unfolding, including celebrities like Dr. Dre. We'll keep you updated as the case continues to unfold.

As for the students, Stanford made a decision a few days ago to kick out one student who had lied on the application to attend. We're not certain what the lie was, but the university rescinding the application was tied to the Rick Singer scandal. It is unclear if other universities will follow suit with all or some of the enrolled students who are also embroiled in the scandal, although some students may choose not to return of their own accord.

It was revealed earlier this month that Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin were among the 50 parents being investigated for their reported involvement in what is currently being considered the biggest college admission scam and scandal in the history of the United States. Since then, there have been no small amount of crude and snide comments made online — and elsewhere — about the potentially criminal celebrities and their alleged (and well-reported) wrongdoing.

Supposedly cheating their way into the system using their wealth and privilege in order to provide their own children with college admissions into the schools of their choice — regardless of their grades and proper eligibility compared to other students — was considered unethical and immoral by the general public. Not just by fand, but other celebrities. And that includes Dr. Dre. Shortly after he went on social media and proudly announced that his daughter was admitted into college, he took the opportunity to indirectly make fun of Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin by claiming that his daughter made it into the university without the father facing potential jail time. Here's what the rapper and producer wrote on his Instagram.

The since-deleted social media message, recounted by E! News, featured a picture of Dr. Dre and his daughter, Truly Young (18), smiling and holding up the certificate of admission from the University of Southern California. Dr. Dre's comments didn't mentioned Lori Loughlin, Felicity Huffman or their college-age children by name, but it was a pointed comment since Dre's daughter made it into the university where Olivia Jade, Lori Loughlin's daughter, attended school before this scandal shook everything up.

Dr. Dre claims that he and his daughter didn't cheat their way into the system. They didn't need to doctor SAT scores or do anything illegal to make it official. Therefore, Dr. Dre believes he has bragging rights when it comes to this acceptance letter they've received. Although, it should be noted that there were many people online who felt the need to call out Dr Dre's generous donation to the school in regards to his daughter's admission into this very prestigious college.

Shortly after Dr. Dre made this public declaration, there were folks on the Internet who were quick to point out that Dr. Dre, alongside music executive Jimmy Iovine, paid $70 million to USC to help establish the university's Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy of Arts, Technology, and the Business of Innovation. Therefore, while Dr. Dre didn't do anything illegal, he might not necessarily have bragging rights according to a few individuals. The Fuller House cast has been mostly radio silent on the college cheating scandal charges against Lori Loughlin, aka Aunt Becky. This is a cast that has been together as a family since Full House premiered in 1987. They love each other, and they are savvy enough to know how to get a message across. Three original Full House stars spoke on stage last night at the Kids' Choice Awards when the show won the trophy for Favorite Funny TV Show.

Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler), Candace Cameron Bure (D.J. Tanner-Fuller), and Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner) took to the stage to tag-team the acceptance speech. They thanked fans for sticking with them, and dropped some not-so-subtle hints about family sticking together through the hard times:

That's right, Fuller House Season 5 is going to be the final season. Netflix revealed that news at the end of January. Season 5 hasn't started filming yet, but now there's confusion about what might happen to the character of Aunt Becky. She only had a recurring role on the show, as Uncle Jesse's wife and aunt to D.J. and Stephanie. But rumor has it, Lori Loughlin won't be in the final season. She has already been dropped from her Hallmark shows.

Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were among 50 people -- including actress Felicity Huffman -- indicted last week in a college entrance exam cheating scandal. Loughlin and Giannulli were accused of paying $500,000 to a college prep business run by William "Rick" Singer to get their daughters into the University of Southern California. Both of the accused were released on a bail bond of $1 million and they're scheduled for court appearances in Boston on April 3.

Sources told The Hollywood Reporter production on Fuller House Season 5 won't be affected by Lori Loughlin's legal woes since they are no current plans for her to return. The final season is meant to stream on Netflix this fall. Wendy Williams suggested Fuller House kill off the character of Aunt Becky, but it's more likely they'll just do what they do for the Olsen twins' Michelle Tanner and talk about her off-screen.

It has been a few weeks since the shocking revelation was made that Lori Loughlin (as well as Felicity Huffman and several other rich parents) was involved in a cheating scandal known as Operation Varsity Blues. The controversial criminal effort involved the alleged participants reportedly paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to an attorney, Rick Singer, in the hopes that their soon-to-be adult children could be placed into the colleges of their choice — regardless of their grades, eligibility or other appropriate credentials. During the initial reporting, the details were left murky when it came to Lori Loughlin's efforts in this expensive scam, but there has been potentially new information revealed that might provide insight into how Loughlin and her husband, J. Mossimo Giannulli, got involved in this effort to get their young daughter, Olivia Jade, enrolled into the University of Southern California.

The newest chunk of information was revealed in a whopping 204-page affidavit that was presented to the courts in Boston this week. As it was reported by Yahoo! Entertainment, there are authority figures that allege that Lori Loughlin and her husband were working directly with Rick Singer during his criminal operation, and they have recorded conversations between Singer, Loughlin and J. Mossimo Giannulli where Singer reveals that they are currently being audited by the IRS.

In that recorded conversation, Rick Singer reportedly tried to get everyone's stories straight about this entire operation, and he allegedly mentioned the high cash value that was passed to him by Lori Loughlin and her husband for his services, which could be considered evidence of wrongdoing. Singer has already pleaded guilty to his involvement in this criminal enterprise and he is currently working with the authorities in their investigation, which has been called the biggest college cheating scandal in United States history, due to its reported scope and scale.

Additionally, in a separate call, Rick Singer reportedly told Lori Loughlin about the IRS yet again, and Loughlin agreed that she would tell the IRS that the cash was donated to a charitable organization and not being used to put her daughter, Olivia Jade, into USC. Currently, Lori Loughlin is one of 50 people being investigated by the authorities and who have been charged for participating in this scam.

Meanwhile, Lori Loughlin has faced serious fallout beyond her legal troubles for this college admission scandal. She was dropped by the Hallmark Channel in light of this media disaster, where she appeared in the television series When Calls the Heart, among many of the network's other shows and movies. Plans are reportedly in place to handle her absence from the program. Meanwhile, it's also confirmed that Loughlin will not return for the newest and final season of Netflix's Fuller House, and the cast members of that television series are not willing to discuss this issue publicly. So, basically, even if Loughlin walks away from this criminal case without being convicted, her career is currently in tatters.

Earlier this week, Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were accused of paying $500,000 in bribes to designate their two daughters as recruits to the USC crew team, even though the students didn't row crew. According to CNN, Loughlin faces charges of felony conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud. According to Forbes, if both Lori Loughlin and fellow accused celeb Felicity Huffman continue to cooperate with authorities and show contrition for what they allegedly did, they are likely to walk away with big fines and perhaps probation, but not jail time.

Since Fuller House Season 5 is not in production right now, it is possible Lori Loughlin will be able to tie up Aunt Becky's story in a less dramatic fashion than killing her off for a college admissions scandal.

Rebecca "Becky" Donaldson–Katsopolis has been part of the Full House family since Season 2. She's now married to John Stamos's Uncle Jesse Katsopolis, and the Becky-Jesse relationship is sacrosanct to fans. It would be a shame to see Becky killed off to punish the actress who plays her, but it wouldn't be the first time a TV show went that route. The Full House cast has stayed pretty quiet when it comes to commenting on the charges against their co-star. Maybe they're waiting for the furor to die down.

TMZ had reported from a production source that Lori Loughlin was a guest star for the previous four seasons of Fuller House but "there are currently no plans for her to return for the 5th season." That doesn't mean plans couldn't change. We'll have to wait and see how Fuller House handles things for the final season. Maybe they will just say Aunt Becky is visiting Michelle in New York again, like they did in the Season 4 premiere.

The bad news just keeps on raining down on actress Lori Loughlin, who has spent the week under much scrutiny following her arrest in connection with the ongoing college admissions fraud scheme. Her future at Hallmark was completely shut down in the aftermath, and now it's being reported that Netflix's Fuller House, the actress' other career arc, isn't expected to bring Loughlin back to reprise Aunt Becky for the sitcom's fifth and final season.

At the time of this writing, no official proclamations about Lori Loughlin's Fuller House presence have been made by either Netflix or the comedy's showrunners, Steve Baldikoski and Bryan Behar. However, TMZ reported that their production source confirmed that while Loughlin was a regular guest star on the first four seasons of Fuller House, there are no plans to have her return for Season 5. Which, for all intents and purposes, basically means that viewers have already seen the last of Rebecca Donaldson-Katsopolis.

Note that production has not yet begun on Fuller House Season 5, which was renewed by Netflix back in January. That was also when it was announced that the spinoff sitcom would be finalizing its popular run on the streaming service. So even though nothing about these circumstances is great for anyone involved, at least this wasn't a situation where all of Lori Loughlin's scenes had already been shot and then needed to get craftily edited out ahead of the episodes' eventual airing.

Season 5 is scheduled to go into production at some point this spring, so it's fairly feasible to assume that the two showrunners haven't completely finalized all the episodes' scripts. So all options would be on the table for how they would want to address Aunt Becky's absence, assuming they would want to bring it up at all.

Fuller House has often thrown some light-hearted shade at former Full House stars Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, since both of them have declined to return to reprise the role of Michelle Tanner in any capacity. Since it has been the twins' choice to stay away, it's always felt perfectly fine enough for Michelle to keep getting brought up. However, since Lori Loughlin's situation is of a criminal nature, that makes it all the more ill-advised to make any pithy references to Aunt Becky's absence.

Lori Loughlin was arrested earlier this week and charged in connection with the college admissions scandal that was spearheaded by William Singer. The actress allegedly (with her husband) paid $500,000 to a "foundation" to make it look like her daughters were members of the USC women's rowing team, despite them not actually being involved with the sport. She surrendered to authorities on Wednesday, and was released on a $1 million bond.

The decision to remove Lori Loughlin from Fuller House, though still unofficial, came hours after Hallmark Channel publicly announced that all of the actress' current productions were being shut down, including her Garage Sale Mysteries series of TV movies. Parent company Crown Media confirmed that all contracts with Loughlin were severed.

A few hours after making that initial announcement, Hallmark then revealed that the upcoming episode of the hit drama When Calls the Heart is being pulled from the schedule, saying that "all creative options" were being evaluated before making the next move. It's presumed that the producers are considering ways to edit Lori Loughlin's lead character Abigail Stanton out of that and future episodes.

There's next to no chance that When Calls the Heart will be cancelled, though, considering how much of a hit it has been for Hallmark – especially during this TV midseason. Of course, Loughlin had quite a bit to do with that popularity as one of Hallmark's most recognizable stars. As such, it will be interesting to see if the show's impressive Season 6 ratings will be impacted by Loughlin's legal troubles.

Though it's currently in a state of delay, When Calls the Heart can usually be found airing on Hallmark Channel on Sunday nights at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Now, she is facing professional repercussions for her connection to the scandal. Hallmark has dropped Loughlin from its slate of programming.

The move is actually a pretty big deal, as Lori Loughlin isn't just one of Hallmark's frequent flyers who appears in a Christmas movie or two every year. On top of her appearances in several of those holiday movies, Loughlin stars in the still-popular When Calls the Heart as well as the Garage Sale Mystery TV movie series. Hallmark will be a different place without her on board.

Hallmark's parent company Crown Media released a statement regarding the drop of Lori Loughlin (via THR) saying this:

It may be simple enough to end Lori Loughlin's involvement in Hallmark Christmas movies and the Garage Sale Mystery series, as the network can simply not cast her and/or axe the projects that would have featured her. When Calls the Heart may not be quite so simple.

When Calls the Heart has featured Lori Loughlin from the very beginning, and the series is still going strong in Season 6 with impressive ratings and a spinoff on the way. Although she's an important part of the cast, Loughlin hasn't been the main character, so the show won't need to end or turn itself entirely upside down to continue without her. Still, it sounds like Hallmark is immediately cutting Loughlin, so her character's departure from When Calls the Heart will likely be explained away and happen off-screen.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time this midseason than an actor's off-screen actions potentially changed the course of their TV projects. The Jussie Smollett situation over on Fox has not yet been resolved. Lori Loughlin being dropped from Hallmark comes after she received permission to travel to Vancouver as part of her release following a $1 million bond. Both When Calls the Heart and the Garage Sale Mystery movies film in Vancouver.

Now, Lori Loughlin apparently won't need the special dispensation that would have permitted her to travel out of the country for work. News of the scandal that would cost her jobs on Hallmark broke on March 12, with reports surfacing that Lori Loughlin (along with her husband, actress Felicity Huffman, and many others) allegedly bribed college officials and faked standardized test scores to get kids into elite universities, including Yale, Stanford, and USC.

Lori Loughlin and her husband allegedly payed $500,000 to USC so that their daughters would gain admission as recruits for the university's crew team. Neither daughter was a rower, although they did pose for photos on rowing machines to help sell the story.

Only time will tell what's in store for Lori Loughlin next and whether she'll still be featured in what remains of Fuller House. The Fuller House cast has largely avoided commenting on her arrest, and the show is almost done. Besides, it's not like Aunt Becky is at the forefront of all the action. Might Loughlin still have a role? We'll have to wait and see.

John Stamos 

Having played Lori Loughlin's romantic interest for most of her Full House and Fuller House journeys, John Stamos has shared quite a few special moments with the actress over the years, both on and off the set. But the last thing he posted on social media was a picture of him playing guitar in front of Johnny Knoxville, with Tom Jones in the background.

Cool picture, to be sure, but that was from March 11, the day before news of the scandal broke. Otherwise, all quiet from John Stamos on the Twitter and Instagram front.

Clearly, John Stamos did not want to talk about Lori Loughlin's legal troubles at that point. So let's move on from Jesse and Becky.

Bob Saget 

Now the host of ABC's slightly racy clip show Videos After Dark, Bob Saget played Lori Loughlin's co-anchor on Full House's morning show Wake Up, San Francisco for a long time. That fictional partnership returned strong on the Netflix sequel, which is going into its final season.

However, Saget's social media made no mention of Loughlin in the past couple of days. Instead, he was in full promotion mode for his ongoing stand-up comedy tour, as well as his recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! The tweet below kind of sums up both.

Note that Bob Saget sat with Jimmy Kimmel on this talk show on the same day that Lori Loughlin got charged, but it didn't come up once during the interview. Perhaps they were completely shielded from the information before that. But considering Saget has posted and retweeted quite a few things in recent days, it's clear that he's not trying to wade into controversial waters concerning Loughlin.

Candace Cameron Bure 

Arguably the lead actress on Fuller House, Candace Cameron Bure is generally as busy on social media as any of her co-stars, and she hasn't been on complete radio silence, either. But like others, she's not spending any of her posting time talking about Lori Loughlin's troubles.

Rather, she's been busy lobbying for herself and Fuller House to take home the gold (as it were) for the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. Four posts in two days about the cable giant's awards show, but nothing about her fictional Aunt Becky.

Beyond the Kids' Choice Awards marketing push, Candace Cameron Bure also shared a picture of the Bible verse above. The meaning behind the post or the verse itself is open to interpretation, given the context of the situation.

Jodie Sweetin 

In the years when she wasn't playing the middle Tanner family sister Stephanie, Jodie Sweetin had some of her own personal demons to deal with, via years of substance abuse. Alas, she made it out of the other side intact and back in the spotlight for Fuller House.

But Jodie Sweetin has also been mum about all things Lori Loughlin-related. On social media, she's been mostly silent, having posted this on March 11.

The actress was approached by TMZ at an airport. Though the outlet attempted to get some kind of statement out of her, Jodie Sweetin limited her responses to a single syllable.

Jodie Sweetin appeared none too happy to be asked about the matter, so perhaps this subject is a rather sore spot for the Fuller House star.

Andrea Barber 

Andrea Barber's Kimmy Gibbler and Lori Loughlin's Becky Donaldson-Katsopolis probably had less to do with each other than any two main characters on the show. Not that the two actresses aren't friendly behind the scenes or anything. That said, Barber has been just as silent on the college admissions scandal as everyone else in the Netflix show's cast.

In fact, her most recent Tweet was a Netflix ad that is well worth watching for anyone who hasn't yet seen it.

It's easy to understand why Andrea Barber may not have wanted to talk about pressing matters, or do anything else, after scarfing down cheesesticks and mayo like that.

Dave Coulier 

There probably aren't any Full House fans out there who thought that Full House vet and stand-up comic Dave Coulier would have the hottest takes about Lori Loughlin's legal issues. And true to those presumed expectations, Coulier hasn't said a thing about them.

He did hop on Instagram in the past couple of days to promote some upcoming shows, however, as well as to celebrate Pi Day, March 14, in true style.

Fans probably shouldn't expect Dave Coulier to talk about Lori Loughlin during his comedy act at Walt Disney World, either.

Lori Loughlin's next court date is scheduled to be in Boston on March 29, though we'll probably hear a lot of other details and reveals about the college admissions scheme before then. Considering the lack of responses given by the Fuller House peeps, one has to wonder if this is perhaps foreshadowing the actress having to bow out of appearing in the Netflix comedy's final season. Stay tuned for more info on that front as it becomes available.

Getting into college is a lot of hard work. Particularly the college of your choice. You can have your sights set on a certain university, notably one of high standards, and if you don't have either the grades or the cash (or both) to make it work, it can be hard to accept defeat. Sure, maybe you got into a few other schools you applied to. But there's always one college you had your eye on, and sometimes, things don't always work out the way you want it to. A lot of times, people have to rest with their bitter feelings.

But for some folks, including celebrity actresses like Academy Award-nominee Felicity Huffman and Fuller House's Lori Loughlin, a few drastic measures might reportedly need to take place. Specifically, breaking a couple laws. At least, that's according to a new police report that made a splash earlier today.

According to a developing story reported by ABC News, Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin are reportedly among upwards of 50 people (or maybe more) who are being investigated and charged by federal prosecutors in Boston in regards to a massive nationwide cheating scam involving college admissions. The details are a bit murky from a press standpoint, but the operation, codenamed Varsity Blue, found a collection of 33 parents who paid a collective $25 million to college admissions counselor William Singer in what is now be called the biggest college admissions cheating scam to ever be prosecuted in United States' history. Wowza.

In a "catalog of wealth and privilege," as it was described by U.S. Attorney Andrew Lelling, the parents involved in this ongoing criminal investigation reportedly exchanged money for William Singer to "allegedly bribe college officials," as well as coaches and college entrance exam administrators, in order to help the children of the parents secure their admissions into the college of their choice. Therefore, these soon-to-be college students would be getting into their universities through "fraud" and "not their merits," as it was described by Lelling.

There's no telling how broad and wide-reaching this reported college admission cheating operation went, but it was a massive conspiracy if these ongoing police reports are, indeed, factual.

According to officials involved in this criminal case, 13 people have been arrested by the FBI in Los Angeles. 38 of the 50 defendants that have been charged at this time are currently under arrest and/or in custody at the moment. That includes Felicity Huffman, who is currently under house arrest. Now might not be the time for jokes, but talk about a desperate housewife.

Lori Loughlin, meanwhile, is in Canada at the moment, for reasons not publicly stated, and she is not currently in custody. Though there is a good chance that'll change soon. Authorities are reportedly trying to contact her at the moment, and she knows that she will likely be arrested as soon as she return to the States. We'll continue to keep you posted.

Additionally, William Singer pleaded guilty to the charges made against him in this case, and he is reportedly working with the police in order to track down the parents who allegedly paid large sums of money in order to use his illegal services.
