We’re coming up on one year since the shocking news of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s divorce after two decades together. It’s surely been a tough time of transition for the family of four — who include their teenage daughters Sunday Rose and Faith — but the former couple seems to have come to an amicable place, and apparently Sandra Bullock may have played a role in that.

Part of that may be Sandra Bullock’s influence, who reportedly became great friends with Nicole Kidman on Practical Magic 2. The insiders suggest Bullock may have pulled from her own experiences while offering support:

Sandra Bullock’s longtime partner Bryan Randall died in 2023 after a private battle with ALS, so one can see why she would allegedly encourage the former couple to “be kinder to each other,” if, for no other reason, the sake of their daughters. The source continued:

Regardless of how much Sandra Bullock directly assisted in helping Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban get to a healthy place in their post-divorce relationship, I’m glad the exes got there, and it’s good to know that Nicole Kidman has friends like Bullock to lean on.

We’ll get to see them both when Practical Magic 2 is released Friday, September 11. The sequel takes place 25 years after the events of its 1998 predecessor, as the witchy Owens sisters face a new crisis regarding the origin of their powers and must take action to save the family’s next generation.

It will be especially nice to see this reunion knowing how much Sandra Bullock was there for Nicole Kidman during her breakup.

As such, she honored both her own father and the country music star in a Father’s Day Instagram Story:

Those photos are actually so sweet — showing her dad carrying her as a young girl and then her younger daughters being carried by Keith Urban when they were little. Nicole Kidman may have chosen to include her ex (at least one of them) in her Father’s Day tribute, but not all celebrities followed the same path.

Gisele Bündchen seems to have a different take on the matter, as she did not honor Tom Brady — the dad of her older two children, Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 13 — in her own Father’s Day post. Like Nicole Kidman, the supermodel included a pic of her own dad, but her Instagram post was mostly reserved for her new husband, Joaquim Valente, who she praised as an “incredible role model” and thanked him for his “love, humility, integrity, discipline, kindness and consistency”:

Gisele Bündchen and Joaquim Valente welcomed their first child together in February 2025 before tying the knot that December. She was previously married to Tom Brady for 13 years before divorcing in 2022. The NFL great has said co-parenting remains a priority for him, though it hasn’t come without bumps in the road.

His ex-wife was allegedly not pleased with the harsh jokes from Netflix’s Roast of Tom Brady, many of which centered around Gisele Bündchen, her then-boyfriend Joaquim Valente and Brady seemingly choosing football over his family. His children were allegedly affected by that, and the ex-quarterback admitted he’d made a mistake.

There’s no doubt that Father’s Day can be tricky, especially when there’s been strife or separations in one’s family. Sources suggested the holiday would be tough for Brad Pitt, as the children he shares with ex-wife Angelina Jolie continue to drop his last name.

The decision of whether or not to recognize an ex is a tough one, and I don’t think there’s a right answer. Different factors can come into play, and the above examples show that people are going to have different philosophies. Who are we to judge?

While the New York Knicks won Game 4 of the NBA Finals, I think Taylor Swift and her girl squad won best dressed thanks to their matching punny T-shirts. Made by Alana Haim herself, the musician, her sister Este Haim, Taylor Swift and eventually Mariska Hargitay sat courtside in tops that said “Stevie Knicks,” “Knickelback” and “Knickole Kidman.” Now, Nicole (or should I say “Knickole”) Kidman has responded to the viral fashion moment.

I would assume it’d be an honor to have your name turned into a pun by Taylor Swift and her girl squad. That assumption turned out to be correct, as Kidman reposted Haim’s post about their “girls just wanna have pun” shirts on her Instagram story alongside a video of the pop star cheering on the Knicks during their game against the San Antonio Spurs that aired on the 2026 TV schedule. The girls really were having so much fun, and it seemed the actress was too. Clearly, Nicole Kidman loved this punny moment, and she was cheering on the women and their viral moment.

Now, we know Alana Haim made extra T-shirts. She told Vogue she did, and that’s how Mariska Hargitay ended up with one (which she was notably wearing in the viral image of her reacting to the Knicks winning). So, maybe they could mail one to Nicole Kidman; I bet the Practical Magic star would treasure it.

Of course, it’s not shocking that Kidman was supportive of this punny moment. She was one of many celebrities to attend the Eras Tour a few years ago. She and her now-ex-husband, Keith Urban, went to a show in May of 2023, and a TikTok from the country singer shows they were enthusiastically supporting Swift, like Swift supports the Knicks.

With Game 5 of the NBA Finals fast approaching, I’m excited to see the fits people put together for what could be the last game of the series. While it’s unclear if Swift and co. will be present at this match that will take place in San Antonio, I hope they are, and I hope they have more pun T-shirts ready.

The public has gotten a real kick out of this fashion moment, and one of the subjects of the tops did too. So, I’d really like to see more. However, if that doesn’t happen, I’m thrilled with what we got. Those T-shirts were a moment, and they paired great with the Knicks' big win.

So, with all that said and done, to see who shows up at Game 5 of the NBA Finals and to see, you know, the game itself, you can watch it on ABC tonight, June 13, at 8:30 p.m. ET. If the Knicks win, they win it all. If the Spurs win, the series will head back to New York for Game 6. While we don’t know the outcome of that game yet, we do know one thing: Knickole Kidman approved of the fabulous Knicks-themed T-shirts Taylor Swift and co. wore during Game 4.

Nicole Kidman and David E. Kelley have proven that they can bring the drama through streaming series like Big Little Lies and The Undoing, and now they’ve teamed up again for Margo’s Got Money Troubles. The book-to-screen adaptation stars Elle Fanning as the titular Margo, and with the series hitting the 2026 TV schedule on April 15, critics have shared their reviews for the Apple TV series.

Margo is the daughter of a Hooters waitress (Michelle Pfeiffer) and former professional wrestler (Nick Offerman) who turns to OnlyFans for money after an unexpected pregnancy. Richard Roeper of RogerEbert says Elle Fanning carries the series with grace and humor, and the ensemble helps to create a “wickedly funny, sex-forward” series that’s one of the most engaging so far this year. He gives Margo’s Got Money Troubles 3.5 out of 4 stars, writing:

Taylor Gates of Collider is similarly impressed by the upcoming A24 series, rating it a 9 out of 10. As someone who claims to be a “the book is better” kind of person, this critic says the screen adaptation is just as good. Some small tweaks to the source material work to its advantage, and it still manages to capture the book’s spunky spirit. Gates writes:

Allison Picurro of TV Guide calls Margo’s Got Money Troubles a “technicolor charmer” that sets itself apart in the oversaturated world of streaming limited series by being “totally, completely, honestly itself.” Picurro rates the series 8.5 out of 10 and says:

Branyan Towe of Loud and Clear joins the other critics in giving the upcoming Apple TV series a near-perfect review — 4.5 stars out of 5. David E. Kelley finds the perfect balance of comedy and drama, Towe writes, and Elle Fanning will “stir your soul.” This one will definitely “surprise audiences,” the critic says:

Angie Han of THR says Margo’s family at first seems like the aggressively quirky but not-quite-real characters we’ve seen time and again on our screens. However, look closer and you’ll find a really interesting story about relationships that are very much grounded in the real world. Han’s review of Margo’s Got Money Troubles calls it “warn, welcoming and well-acted,” as she continues:

Suffice it to say the critics are overwhelmingly pleased with the latest collab between David E. Kelley and Nicole Kidman, but if the above reviews aren’t enough to convince you, the series has earned a Certified Fresh 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. The first three episodes of Margo’s Got Money Troubles can be streamed now, as of April 15, with an Apple TV subscription. Episodes will drop weekly starting Wednesday, April 22.

Without question, the most star-studded addition to the streaming calendar this week is the new series Margo’s Got Money Troubles, available with an Apple TV subscription. The movie stars Elle Fanning as the daughter of a Hooters waitress (Michelle Pfeiffer) and a professional wrestler (Nick Offerman) who finds herself a single mother trying to make ends meet. It looks to be a movie that is both heartwarming and hilarious. Nicole Kidman also appears and is producing the new series from David E. Kelley.

Beef, Season 2 - April 16 (Netflix)

The first season of Beef was a runaway hit on Netflix. Now the second season has the unenviable task of matching that success. The show will tell an entirely new story with an entirely new cast of characters. Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan lead the new story as a couple who get into a massive public fight, leading to a chain reaction of wild events.

Roommates - April 17 (Netflix)

Adam Sandler has had incredible success on Netflix, and now your Netflix subscription gives you access to even more members of the Sandler family. Roommates stars Sadie Sandler, daughter of the Happy Gilmore actor, has a woman who goes away to college to find that she might have the roommate from hell... or she may have just made a new best friend.

Dust Bunny - April 17 (HBO Max)

There’s a decent chance that you missed Dust Bunny when it was in theaters, but this fantastical film reunites writer/director Bryan Fuller with his Hannibal star Mads Mikkelsen as a hitman hired to kill the monster under a girl’s bed, who she believes ate her family. It’s Fuller's feature film debut in a movie full of his trademark twisted whimsy. It’s the best reason this week to have an HBO Max subscription.

American Gladiators - April 17 (Prime Video)

A staple of syndicated TV in the early 1990s, American Gladiators combined the style and flash of professional wrestling with real athletic competition and a bit of reality TV. The show was already rebooted once with Hulk Hogan as the host, and now the show launches again with a Prime Video subscription, with another WWE star, Mike “The Miz” Mizanin, hosting the show.

WrestleMania 42 - April 18 & 19 (ESPN App)

WWE programming has gone through a lot of changes over the last couple of years, so if you want to watch WrestleMania 42, you’ll need either the ESPN app or a Disney+ subscription with ESPN access.

April has been a great month for streaming content, and it’s not slowing down anytime soon, so after you’ve watched all this, come back next Monday for a new list of what’s not to miss.

For the past few years, Nicole Kidman has been landing project after project, with all of those hitting either theaters or streaming. This year alone, she landed the title role in the book-adapted TV series Scarpetta (which is streaming with a Prime Video subscription), and she has more on the way. However, Kidman -- like some of her peers -- is now ready to take a break. And her reason for that is actually not connected to her divorce from Keith Urban.

It's become somewhat common as of late to see starlets take some time for a bit of R&R after booking various gigs. Just recently, Zendaya confirmed she would take time off following this big year of projects. More recently, Nicole Kidman revealed to USA Today that she’ll be doing the same thing:

I’ve got to say that’s surprising news to me. Considering the number of projects the actress has been signing on for lately, from Lioness to Scarpetta, I figured Kidman would want to keep the momentum going. Not only that, but I was eager to see how she'd build upon her sweet milestone that involves collaborating with female directors. Still, at the end of the day, everyone can use a breather, right?

It's, of course, no secret that Nicole Kidman has made headlines in recent months due to her split from Urban, who she was married to for 19 years. Yet the Oscar-winning actress didn't mention those legal proceedings when explaining her decision to take a step back:

That’s truly a very sweet reason! With Kidman’s daughters with Keith Urban -- Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret -- being 17 and 15, respectively, I can imagine the proud mom wanting to make the most of her time with them before they leave the nest. On that note, an insider previously claimed that Sunday and Faith Urban are allegedly supporting their mom through the divorce and, apparently, they're all living together.

The Kidman Urban sisters are also reportedly splitting time between their two parents and, per reports, there's no drama over that. With everything that's transpired, it’s good that Nicole is now eager to have a whole summer of family time with her kids.

Despite her divorce, Nicole Kidman said she was ready to move forward with her family in mind. While the talented actress may be keeping this summer free, we still have her 2026 movie schedule release, Practical Magic 2, to look forward look forward to later this year, as it comes out on September 11th. Despite Kidman's need for a break, I have a feeling she won't be able to sit still for too long, as she is a starlet who definitely seems to like being on the move.

I definitely don't mean to rush Kidman back into work, though. As a fan, I'm excited that she's taking some time off, and I'm eager to see if she posts some vacay photos featuring herself and her daughters. Here's hoping the family enjoys their summer together!

Every streaming service has a number of original shows coming out, and those with an Amazon Prime subscription were recently treated to the full season of Scarpetta. The book to screen adaptation finally brought Patricia Cornwell's character Dr. Kay Scarpetta to television, played by none other than Nicole Kidman. I had the chance to speak with the author ahead of the show's release, where she praised an A-lister for finally getting her work to the small screen.

While some folks are figuring out how to watch Scarpetta, others are deep into the eight-episode season. It remains to be seen if the original series becomes one of the best Amazon shows to binge-watch, but releasing the full season definitely lends itself to that. As you can see from the video above, I asked Cornwell why now was the right time to bring Dr. Kay to television. She told me:

Jamie Lee, you are all of us! It sounds like the recent Oscar-winner is a big reason why Scarpetta finally happened, and Cornwell's signature character was adapted for TV. In addition to starring as Kay's older sister Dorothy Scarpetta, Curtis is also an Executive Producer on the new Amazon series. And it seems like she's really helped to finally get the character on the small screen.

Cornwell isn't the only person who spoke to me about how JLC helped to make Scarpetta a reality. In a separate interview, both Ariana DeBose and Bobby Cannavale told me they were personally recruited by the Halloween icon. So clearly Curtis was a big reason why this adaptation became a reality.

Patricia Cornwell also name dropped creator/showrunner/writer Liz Sarnoff for being the creative force that found a way to bring Dr. Kay Scarpetta's story from the page to the screen. There are a ton of book and characters to use as inspiration, and the author seems to be thrilled that the Scarpetta series is the way her narrative universe was finally brought to TV. Sounds like Curtis and Sarnoff were a winning combination.

The critical response to Scarpetta has been mixed, but it should be interesting to see how audiences respond to the new Amazon series. If it ends up being popular on the streaming service, there are plenty of novels that could potentially be adapted for future seasons. Only time will tell.

Matt Roush of TV Insider rates Scarpetta just 2 stars out of 5, saying the “queasy,” “grisly” procedural aspects too often take a backseat to the “overwrought domestic angst” of Kay’s home life. The critic writes:

Saloni Gajjar of AV Club gives it a D, saying Scarpetta marks a low point on Nicole Kidman’s journey of increasingly substandard dramas. The series is a “hot mess,” Gajjar writes, and feels more like “one of those fake shows used as punchlines in 30 Rock and Insecure.” Gajjar continues:

Critics don’t collectively agree on this latest thriller series from Nicole Kidman, but some really dug it, so if you’re one of the fans who’s been waiting to see Patricia Cornwell’s series come to life on your television screen, your time has come. Scarpetta premieres Wednesday, March 11 on Amazon’s Prime Video.

You can always count on Nicole Kidman to bring her A-game both on-screen and on the red carpet. She just proved that again, too, because as her new show, Scarpetta, prepares to premiere on the 2026 TV schedule, she paired a blazer dress with a sheer skirt for its red carpet, creating a stunning and innovative take on the sheer trend.

Scarpetta, which is a book-to-screen adaptation based on Patricia Cornwell’s novels, is set to premiere for those with an Amazon Prime subscription on March 11. So, to celebrate, Nicole Kidman, who plays the titular forensic pathologist, showed up to the New York premiere in style. Take a look:

As you can see, Kidman was rocking a stunning double-breasted black blazer dress that transitioned into a black sheer skirt. While the top half is all business and the bottom half is very fun, this combo actually works so well. Overall, it creates a stunning fashion moment that’s unlike other sheer looks I’ve seen.

According to the actress’s stylist, Jason Bolden, the look is by Chanel and its artistic director, Matthieu Blazy. His Instagram post about the look also highlights the shoes Kidman was wearing under the skirt, which were black high heels that featured a bright red apple in the middle of the heel.

Overall, Kidman let the look stand for itself, as she wasn’t wearing statement jewelry, and she kept her glam fairly neutral.

All around, this outfit was so fun, and I love that the Big Little Lies star showed off a new side of this beloved trend.

It actually reminds me of the time Kristen Stewart proved that a sheer skirt and shorts can go together. I’m also thinking of other innovative takes on this trend, like Rachel Zegler’s high-neck lavender mini dress from last year and the sheer snakeskin gown Jenna Ortega rocked at one of Wednesday’s Season 2 premieres. Truly, the sheer trend knows no bounds, and I'm here for how Nicole Kidman emphasized that point with this fit.

I also love that she wore it to celebrate Scarpetta. The crime thriller series follows Kidman’s Dr. Kay Scarpetta as she returns to her hometown to investigate a murder, and it features a dual timeline that flashes between the aforementioned present story and the 1990s, when Scarpetta was in the early years of her career.

Alongside Kidman, the show stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Bobby Cannavale, Simon Baker, Ariana DeBose and Rosy McEwen (who plays the younger version of Kidman’s character).

So, all around, it’s a rock star cast and a thrilling new streaming show that I cannot wait to see. However, while we wait for its March 11 premiere, I’ll be thinking about how Scarpetta’s star paired a blazer with a sheer skirt in a very fun and fresh way.

Luckily, the incredibly successful One Piece anime was well-received by fans during its first season. Patricia Cornwell’s popular medical examiner, Kay Scarpetta, makes the jump from book to screen in the form of Nicole Kidman for this brand new series, available with a Prime Video subscription. Jamie Lee Curtis also stars in this series that could turn into a significantly long-running affair, considering there are nearly 30 books in the series.

It’s Dorothy - March 13 (Peacock)

The Wizard of Oz is arguably more popular now than it has been in decades, thanks to the success of the Wicked films. While the second movie, Wicked: For Good, is still a week away from its streaming debut, this week, your Peacock subscription will get you a brand new documentary on the life of a character who doesn’t feature much in those movies: Dorothy Gale.

I have no idea how Taylor Sheridan has so many different television series on the air at once, as he seems to be adding new ones weekly. Fans of Sheridan’s dramatic character-focused storytelling really need a Paramount+ subscription because it’s the place to catch episodes of both the recently started CBS series Marshals and the brand new The Madison, starring Michele Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell.

The Oscars - March 15 (Hulu)

There are so many award shows now that they can be tough to keep track of, but I think we can all agree that there is still only one that really matters. The Oscars are the night that movies celebrate themselves, and regardless of who wins, movie fans will be watching. Conan O’Brien returns as host, and the show airs on ABC but will also be available live with a Hulu subscription.

With the second half of march giving us movies like Wicked: For Good and series like Daredevil: Born Again, Season 2. It’s sure to continue to be a great month for streaming.

The black comedy saw her as a woman obsessed with television stardom who uses a teenager who is obsessed with her as a mechanism to commit murder. It’s one of Kidman’s most well-known roles, and one that still looks amazing, even on a t-shirt, worn by the actress herself.

It takes a certain amount of confidence to put on a shirt with your own face on it, but Nicole Kidman clearly pulls it off. She looks incredible here. The fact that Sony Pictures, which distributed To Die For, commented indicates this could be part of a publicity campaign for the 30th anniversary of To Die For. But there’s little argument that it worked. The post has thousands of likes already, and everybody, not just the celebrities, thinks Kidman looks incredible.

While the timing of this picture is certainly coincidental with the news of her divorce from Keith Urban, it certainly still has a vibe of moving forward. Considering how often Nicole Kidman posted shots of herself in t-shirts to celebrate her ex when they were together, this particular shot does feel similar.

In addition to mentioning the film’s 30th anniversary, Kidman also threw in a hashtag for To Die For’s director, Gus Van Sant. After To Die For, Van Sant would direct Good Will Hunting, a movie that would see him earn his first Oscar nomination for Best Director.

To Die For would earn its share of awards as well. Kidman won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her performance as Suzanne Stone, her first time winning that award. She’d also earn her first BAFTA nomination for the role.

Kidman was asked about navigating life in her 50s, and she responded by questioning how many times a person is “taught that you think you know where your life is going and then it isn’t going in that direction.” Again, that may not have been the A-lister referencing her marriage, but the timing is interesting.

As Keith Urban has reportedly remained sober since entering rehab shortly after their 2006 marriage, that would entitle the singer to more than $11 million. That’s a pretty significant payout, even for people who are both millionaires in their own right.

However, there is some question as to whether or not this “cocaine clause” is actually being enforced. E! News has apparently seen the divorce petition, which goes into significant detail about how many of the couple’s assets will be split, and there is no mention of such a large payout to Urban. In fact, there’s almost nothing changing hands between Urban and Kidman at all.

According to the divorce petition, there will be no spousal or child support payments. Kidman is set to be the custodial parent, with the two children, aged 17 and 14, spending 59 days of the year with their dad.

Urban and Kidman are each keeping the cars that are in their names and their own personal items like clothing and jewelry, and the pair have already come to an agreement regarding the splitting up of shared items like furniture, appliances, and art.

Considering that it looks like the former couple have been working on these decisions for some time, and have come to an agreement on many things, and that there’s no mention of Kidman paying Urban any money at all, it appears that even if the pre-nup clause is genuine, the pair have seemingly decided not to enforce it.

Fans have been looking for details that may explain the couple's split. Whatever the details, it appears the split is being handled as quickly and easily as possible, which indicates both sides will be fine.

The finale of Lioness Season 2 aired on December 8, 2024. Now, about ten months later, as we’re nearing the end of the 2025 TV schedule, the Taylor Sheridan series has finally been renewed for Season 3. Obviously, that kind of window between a finale and renewal is fairly unusual, but getting the specifics figured out took time.

Lioness features many major A-listers (like many Taylor Sheridan shows do), and figuring out a schedule for production is time-consuming, per Deadline. Apparently, Season 3 (which you can see the announcement for below) was actually greenlighted earlier this year. However, it wasn’t announced publicly because the schedule, specifically for Kidman and Saldaña, was still being figured out.

Personally, I don’t find this all that surprising. Take Nicole Kidman and her work as an example; she is very busy. In 2024, the year Season 2 of Lioness came out, she also released the miniseries Expats and The Perfect Couple, as well as the movies A Family Affair, Babygirl and Spellbound. Also, in 2025, she was part of the movie Holland and Season 2 of the series Nine Perfect Strangers.

Then, as we look forward to Season 3, we can also anticipate the release of Practical Magic 2, which recently wrapped. On top of that, Kidman is in post-production on two other TV shows called Scarpetta and Margo’s Got Money Troubles, and in pre-production on Discretion and Girls and Their Horses. I bet that kind of slate alone makes scheduling Lioness hard.

Saldaña has also been incredibly busy. In 2024, she released Emilia Pérez, which she won an Oscar for, and this year, the animated movie Elio premiered, and Avatar: Fire and Ash is slated to come out in December.

I imagine it becomes an even harder puzzle when you factor in the rest of the Lioness cast, which notably includes Michael Kelly, Morgan Freeman, Laysla De Oliveira, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner and more.

Along with that, while Saldaña had a three-season deal, there were reports months ago that Kidman had to negotiate a new one for Season 3, which, according to Deadline, took time. That deal came together earlier this year; however, scheduling still needed to be figured out.

So, considering all this, I’m grateful it’s all worked out, and now we know Season 3 of Lioness is really coming.

It is worth noting that it also took this long to renew Lioness for Season 2.

Anyway, now it’s time to get excited, because Season 3 of this espionage thriller is coming! And thankfully, while we wait, there’s a lot of other Sheridan shows coming down the pipe. At the moment, Tulsa King is being released for those with a Paramount+ subscription, and this month, on October 26, to be exact, Season 4 of Mayor of Kingstown will premiere in the same place. Then, on November 16, Season 2 of Landman will start, and over the course of the following months, we’ll get a few upcoming Yellowstone shows by way of the Rip and Beth spinoff and Kayce’s CBS series.

So, you’ll have plenty to watch while we wait, because the wait for Season 3 of Lioness really is on, which is very, very exciting.

However, what I didn’t know is that she possessed the abilities of an impressionist. Well, to be more specific, Witherspoon has the ability to mimic at least one of her celebrity friends and co-stars, Nicole Kidman. Witherspoon recently showed off her impersonation of Kidman during an interview, and I dare you not to chuckle while checking out the video.

The Hello Sunshine co-founder has been promoting The Morning Show Season 4 as of late and recently stopped by the Las Culturistas Podcast amid the press tour. During the conversation, co-host Matt Rogers asked Witherspoon what it’s like when she has conversations with Nicole Kidman. Honestly, the thought of someone watching the clip above and not laughing at all just seems impossible to me. First off, Reese Witherspoon’s impression is so perfect, it actually hurts. I’m not even joking when I say that if I’d only heard the impression portion of this clip, I’d swear I was actually hearing Kidman herself. Bravo to Witherspoon for effectively channeling her fellow actress.

What this humorous moment seems to speak to is the close bond that the two Big Little Lies stars have cultivated up to this point. Friends who spend a considerable amount of time together typically come to understand each other’s personality ticks and idiosyncrasies. The same goes for family members as well. For me, personally, I’ve reached the point where I can effectively mimic some of my best friends and relatives.

As far as celebrities go, there are more than a few who have the ability to impersonate other people. SNL star Chloe Fineman, for example, does an incredible Drew Barrymore impression, and the talk show host herself even approves of it. Jamie Foxx also does a spot-on impersonation of Donald Trump. I’ve personally been surprised by some impressions, including Ayo Edebiri’s ability to mimic the Dune theme song (which is too perfect).

I wager that Reese Witherspoon replicates Nicole Kidman’s voice so well because they’ve spent so much time together over the years. Now, it seems the two will be on a set again together at some point in the future. The long-discussed Big Little Lies Season 3 is now reportedly in development, and cast member Shailene Woodley is already hyping it. It’s still early days for the production, as the writers are only being assembled. However, it seems fans can look forward to seeing the Monterey Five again.

One of the upcoming 2026 movies I’m most looking forward to is the sequel to Practical Magic, which is set to reunite Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman as the Owens sisters over 25 years after they first played them in the original Practical Magic. Nicole Kidman confirmed Practical Magic 2 was happening last summer before director Susanne Bier, who has previously directed Bullock for Bird Box and Kidman for the Netflix series The Perfect Couple, became officially attached in May, before more of the cast was added to the project. The movie will also reunite Practical Magic fans with Stockard Channing’s Frances Owens and Dianne Wiest’s Jet Owens, and feature newcomers to the cast, including Joey King, Xolo Maridueña, Lee Pace, Solly McLeod and Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams in her first big movie in years.

While there are a lot of new cast members, Kidman’s post seems to indicate the focus will very much remain on the Owens sisters. When production started, here’s what she posted about the first day on set:

Practical Magic is reportedly inspired by Alice Hoffman’s 2021 book, The Book Magic (making it one of many upcoming book adaptations on the way). The novel is about three generations of Owens women who come together to break their family’s curse that hasn’t allowed each of them to be in loving relationships. We know that Joey King will be playing one of Sally’s daughters, but the identity of the rest of the characters has yet to be shared.

Being photo-shy is not an adjective readily used to describe Karen Gillan. Whether she's taking shots in her bathroom or showing off being decked out for her Scottish wedding, the Doctor Who actress is loved by the camera. She wasn't her usual self in a new photoshoot, though, as Gillan looked completely unrecognizable while channeling ‘90s-era Nicole Kidman.

If I didn’t know whose Instagram account this was, I might never suspect the photoshoot model was the Guardians of the Galaxy star. Wearing oversized suits and ties from designers like The Frankie Shop, Tibbi, Missoni, Brioni, and Monse, Gillan's photoshoot with Numéro Netherlands had her going full Nicole Kidman, and I love what I’m seeing.

In each photo, Karen Gillan redefines business chic. She’s got on so many different suit-and-tie ensembles, like red-rust silk pants with a blue-collared dress shirt or beige suit and trousers complemented with a silk black jacket. With any of these business attire collections, the Guardians of the Galaxy actress can rule any boardroom.

However, the most glowing attribute coming from Karen Gillan’s photoshoot is how much she looks like a ‘90s Nicole Kidman. The resemblances are so uncanny that you’d never know the difference if introduced to these photos without the Instagram handle.

Back in Nicole Kidman’s ‘90s era, you saw the Australian actress sporting some wild red curls. They were blowing in the wind as she watched Tom Cruise compete in the auto-racing movie Days of Thunder. You also couldn’t ignore her natural curly hair in Kidman’s breakout role in Dead Calm and one of her best movies, Far and Away.

Further in Nicole Kidman’s career, the Oscar winner was pressured by Hollywood to straighten her hair many times. While those wild ringlet curls aren’t a look you normally see anymore with A-list actresses, that’s all the more reason why it’s so awesome that Karen Gillan is bringing the iconic look back. We need to remember that the flat-ironed look isn’t the only look out there for women. The voluminous curls sported by the two actresses translate into spunk and attitude that can’t be overlooked.

As for what’s next on Karen Gillan’s radar, she told Numéro Netherlands that she’ll be re-teaming with Mike Flanagan on a project she's keeping on the hush-hush for now. She’s worked with the horror director before in Oculus and joined the cast of his Stephen King adaptation, The Life of Chuck. The Jumanji actress will also be making her own horror film that she described as a “big celebration” and a “commentary” of the genre. I’m already looking forward to it.

After it was announced that a Practical Magic sequel was underway, fans couldn’t be more excited about seeing stars Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock on the big screen together again. The duo captured our hearts as the witchy sisters in the Halloween classic, and it turns out this chemistry extends to a real life friendship. Kidman recently opened up about her relationship on set with Bullock, and this truly seems like a spiritual sisterhood come to life.

In a recent interview with Kidman for People Magazine, the actress opened up about working with The Blind Side actress after it had been 27 years since the original Practical Magic film was released. It seems like they picked up where they left off because the Moulin Rouge star couldn’t help but gush over her co-star and the bond they’ve created. Apparently, the two leading ladies have a lot in common, and getting into character as sisters wasn’t such a far cry. She said:

I love that this friendship extends beyond the screen and this relationship is truly blossoming. 27 years is a long time between projects together, and it’s hard to rekindle chemistry, but knowing they are having a blast gives me hope that they will be able to communicate the strength of this sisterhood once again. Maybe since they had such a great time working together on this, it will open doors for other opportunities to work together. I feel like Kidman is constantly working and would totally be down, as these two feel like a guaranteed box office draw.

As for what we know about Practical Magic 2, the plot is still being kept under wraps. The original film follows two sisters who are witches and perform a spell to resurrect Kidman’s character’s boyfriend when he dies unexpectedly and the police start investigating. But when magic goes awry, the sisters need to fix things before their bloodline is ended forever. It's a great mix of spooky fun, combined with a rom-com feel. While the Babygirl actress couldn’t give too many details, she did assure fans that the talent involved and sequel script should keep people satisfied. She said:

With a real life friendship in the mix, along with the amazing female talent in front of and behind the screen, I believe Practical Magic 2 will be a perfect mix of fan service and new storytelling. One of the producers of Practical Magic 2 has also sung the praises of the script, and how faithful the book-to-screen adaptation will be to Alice Hoffman’s book, The Book of Magic, the novel sequel to Practical Magic. All and all, this project is in good hands, and I can’t wait to finally see it all come to fruition on the big screen.

While anyone’s home can be broken into, celebrities are known for spending thousands on private security and top-of-the-line systems to keep their homes safe, but even with that, numerous celebs like Keanu Reeves, Brad Pitt, and Nicole Kidman have recently seen their property burglarized, and a security expert has given a mind-boggling reason for it.

Why One Security Expert Says Celebrities Are Being Robbed So Often Right Now

There are a number of unfortunate reasons that famous people are targeted for crimes, but one that we see most often is that their celeb status usually means that their homes are filled with expensive goods. In fact, the recent shocking double murder of American Idol music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband is thought to be due to the couple coming home and encountering a thief who was already inside.

The New York Post spoke with Bodyguard Group of Beverly Hills owner Kris Herzog to get an idea of why so many famous people are dealing with their houses being robbed right now, and his answer might shock you. Of the thieves, Herzog said:

As you may have guessed, this would mean that fancy security systems immediately become useless, which is the main problem. However, the tactics and troubling details don’t stop there:

Obviously, everyone will remember the horrible 2016 Paris robbery that Kim Kardashian (who recently returned to the city to testify at the trial) had to endure, but others have dealt with intruders being able to violate the privacy of their homes, which is something the Skims founder's younger sister, Kendall Jenner has experienced more than once.

This June saw Brad Pitt’s home hit, with criminals climbing a fence and then ransacking the domicile. On Valentine’s Day, the house of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban was broken into when an intruder broke a window to gain entry, and late 2024 saw the watches stolen from Keanu Reeves’ home the previous year found…in Chile.

While celebs are often jetting off to amazing locales for fun or work, this also means that they are away from home frequently, and leaving the protection of their valuables up to security systems doesn’t seem to be enough anymore. Apparently, a number of the “signal-jammer gangs” don’t even call the L.A. area home, but are from South America. The outlet notes that they enter the city as tourists but have pre-arranged home theft sprees, and can even steal items “to order.”

They then leave the country (having the items fenced by others) and local police usually have trouble with being able to identify them (even with fingerprints or DNA evidence), because they are from other countries. All of this has made security a lot more difficult for celebs, and Herzog believes that they are “easy targets” because “they make [bad] security decisions.” This is one reason he uses off-duty police officers to patrol his clients’ homes in uniform and “retired police cars” that still look like the real deal. He added:

So, it would seem that the best advice is to bank on real people being on hand to protect your property. Let’s hope that, at the very least, as many future crimes as possible can be stopped without tragedy striking and people getting hurt, or worse.

When it comes to actors having to be intimate with co-stars on-screen, It’s only natural that their spouses’ reactions would vary. Some understand that it’s part of the job, like Adam Sandler’s wife, who asked that he give Jennifer Aniston a “good time” when they kissed in Murder Mystery 2. Candace Cameron Bure’s husband, meanwhile, doesn’t like to watch her kiss scenes. It seems country singer Keith Urban may fall into that latter category, because he recently got asked about Nicole Kidman’s steamy sex scenes, and it did not end well.

Nicole Kidman is no stranger to a sex scene. In her decades as an actress, she’s played a number of characters who experience intimacy in different ways — including Holland on the 2025 movie calendar and steamy scenes in last year’s psychological thriller Babygirl and the age-gap romance A Family Affair with Zac Efron. But that doesn’t mean her husband wants to talk about it.

Keith Urban called into the radio show “Hayley & Max in the Morning,” Page Six reports, where host Max Burford said he wanted to ask a “deeply personal question,” and proceeded to inquire:

So how did the former American Idol judge respond? He literally exited the chat. A producer informed Max Burford and co-host Hayley Pearson that Keith Urban had “disconnected from Zoom.” He continued:

Now, we don’t know exactly what went down here. Did Keith Urban end the call, or did his team make a pre-emptive move to avoid an uncomfortable subject? Was there a power outage? A sun spot? Somebody forgot to pay the Internet bill?

While it does sound like the quick exit was intentional, an insider told People that Urban did not end the call.

However, this might give a little more context to Nicole Kidman’s response to possibly working with Keith Urban on a show someday. When asked if that was something that interested the couple, the Oscar winner was quick to shut it down, saying that being “together in life” was enough for them.

It’ll be interesting to see if we hear more about the dropped call in coming days, but if Nicole Kidman’s husband is uncomfortable talking about her sex scenes, can anybody really blame him? We’re talking about a shirtless Zac Efron in a movie whose original title was Motherf------.

Not to mention, A Family Affair was nothing compared to Babygirl, where Nicole Kidman said she still blushes over her portrayal of different kinds of orgasms. There was an intimacy coordinator on Babygirl’s set, but the actress still said she got burned out and had to take a step back at one point because she didn’t “want to orgasm anymore.”

And you mean Keith Urban didn’t want to talk about that? Shocking.

It’s certainly not rare in Hollywood to see spouses appearing in projects together. For example, Alison Brie and Dave Franco’s movie Together is hitting the 2025 movie calendar soon, Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney are killing it on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Melissa McCarthy’s husband Ben Falcone frequently cameos in her projects. McCarthy’s Nine Perfect Strangers co-star Nicole Kidman, however, may not be so quick to share the screen with Keith Urban.

Nicole Kidman has proved that she can do it all from the big screen to the small screen to the stage, and her TV work has definitely stuck out in the past few years — including on the 2025 TV schedule — in series like Nine Perfect Strangers, The Perfect Couple, Big Little Lies, The Undoing and several others. But when People asked if she was going to bring country singer husband Keith Urban into the mix, she had a pretty blunt response:

You have to appreciate her setting clear boundaries between her personal and professional life. Just because you’re a celebrity married to another famous person doesn’t mean those two things have to mix, and it sounds to me like Nicole Kidman doesn’t think that would be a good idea.

It almost makes even more sense as an actor, because The Hours star has to be so vulnerable in her roles, and she’s often playing someone else’s spouse. I can completely understand why she’d need clear delineation between church and state in order to feel comfortable doing that.

It’s not like Keith Urban’s forte is acting anyway. The country music star, who married Nicole Kidman in 2006 and shares two children with her, provided musical mentorship as a judge on American Idol for four seasons and has made appearances on The Voice, but that's related to his music, not acting. He has, however, done voice work on a few animated projects like The Amazing World of Gumball and Back to the Outback.

That’s not exactly up to par with Nicole Kidman, though, who’s won an Academy Award (and been nominated five times), two Emmys and six Golden Globes. I’d have to imagine that Keith Urban is fine letting her own that lane in their relationship. He’s got his own four Grammys anyway.

It’s definitely not as common to see an actor/singer couple collaborate as it is when both parties occupy the same corner of the entertainment industry. Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton sing together, but they’re both singers. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill act and sing together, but they’re (kind of) both of those things.

As cool as it would be to see real-life couple Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban in something together, I understand and respect the actress’ decision to keep those things separate. With the Tour de France about to kick off, it got me in the mood to watch a movie about cycling; something like 1985’s American Flyers or going back just a little for something from before the ‘80s, 1979’s Breaking Away. There were a lot of movies about biking in the ‘80s in general, but none on the 2025 movie schedule. These days, despite cycling being as popular as ever on the streets of American cities, there is a dearth of movies about it.

The 1980s Had It All When It Came To Bikes

American Flyers, starring Kevin Costner and Jennifer Grey, among others, remains the quintessential American cycling movie. It even has a race very much like the Tour de France called “Hell in the West,” which features lots of mountain cycling, like the Tour. The heart-pounding action makes it a really good sports movie, and the family relationships make it a great drama as well. It may not be at the top of Costner’s best movie list, but it’s the perfect movie for a rainy Saturday afternoon.

Another movie perfect for a rainy day is 1979’s Breaking Away, starring Dennis Christopher as a recent high school graduate who dreams of competing in professional cycling in Europe. It’s a true feel-good movie with the right about humor, drama, and even romance (at least at the end). With a 95% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it’s weird that this movie isn’t talked about much anymore.

1987’s Quicksilver isn’t about professional cycling, but it is about hardcore bike messengers on road bikes in New York City, and it definitely fits right in with those other movies. If I’m honest, the Kevin Bacon-led film has a pretty ridiculous plot and is far from Bacon’s best movie, but the cycling sequences are exhilarating.

It Wasn’t Just Road Bikes

If you grew up in the 1980s, you know it wasn’t just about 10-speeds and skinny tires. Rad, about BMX trick riders, is a Gen X classic. It doesn’t exactly hold up as a great film, but that doesn’t matter. The bike stunts are still super fun to watch, and it's great to reminisce about putting “pegs” on your bike and coming home with skinned elbows after completely failing to do even one trick... or maybe that was just me.

A couple of years before Rad, we also got BMX Bendits. It was a completely insane Australian movie that gained traction with me and my friends when it was released on VHS in the States. Today, it’s mostly only remembered for being one of Nicole Kidman’s first starring roles. She didn’t perform any of the stunts, though, which is too bad because it would be so cool if the Aussie star is a secret BMX master.

Cycling’s popularity at the time translated to video games too, notably the legendary game Paperboy. Now that’s the kind of video game movie I could get behind. Who do I have to talk to get that movie greenlit?

Throughout Nicole Kidman’s acting career, we’ve seen the Australian native pull off a lot of unique looks. Her best movies show the actress sporting hair and wigs of different lengths and colors, all fitting for playing a range of characters. Most recently, Kidman’s sheer red dress may be a fashion moment worth remembering, but I truly can’t get over her blunt ginger bob.

The sheer dress trend first occurred in 2022 with Florence Pugh’s completely sheer Valentino dress. Then, throughout 2023, the sheer trend was growing among many A-listers. Nicole Kidman has decided to take part in the see-through look trend by wearing a Gucci sheer red dress that’s the perfect blend of edge and sexy. But what I'm stuck by is the bob that goes perfectly with the ensemble:

Nicole Kidman’s red sheer dress is beautifully designed with flowery arrangements sewn in the sheer fabric with bold stripes across the bodice. With lace briefs revealed through the dress, the look strikes a genuine balance between elegance and sensuality.

That red bob, on the other hand, is what’s grabbing my attention the most. The stick-straight, choppy look with uneven bangs reminds me of a darker-hair version of one of the greatest female action characters, The Fifth Element’s Leeloo.

Plus, with that dark red hair, it brings me back to when Nicole Kidman was in the cast of Moulin Rouge, and she had hair of the same color, but longer. As her character in the Baz Luhrmann film was a 19th-century cabaret actress, it’s like Kidman’s ginger bob is an updated version of Satine’s iconic look. With the unevenness of the cut, it’s like the actress is saying that beauty doesn’t have to play it safe and that she’s willing to have fun.

The sheer red dress and blunt ginger hair are perfect for Nicole Kidman, as she told Allure that she would like to be more “extroverted.” The Big Little Lies actress blamed her shyness on her height. In the past, Kidman spoke about the downside of being a tall woman in Hollywood and how she was told it would lessen her chances of having a career.

However, the 5 “11 actress has reached huge milestones in her career, like an Oscar, a BAFTA, six Golden Globes, and working with a female director every 18 months. As Nicole Kidman continues to make 2025 movie releases and television shows, the talented star is clearly continuing to leave marks on the entertainment industry that help her stand out.

A real fashion moment from Nicole Kidman this year so far has to be her sheer red dress and ginger bob. With glamour and edge embedded into her new look, this proves she’s still one of Hollywood’s daring fashion icons and a great way to show her extrovertedness.
