The Kardashian-Jenner family has been ruling the world of reality TV for the better part of two decades now, and I’m not sure a day has gone by without some wild rumor popping up about one member or another of Kris Jenner’s brood. The Kardashians stars are pretty good about letting it all roll off their backs — though the occasional clapback is required — but, apparently, there’s one narrative that still gets under the skin of the famous momager.

Kris Jenner sat down with the Khloé in Wonder Land podcast to talk all things Kardashian with her daughter. She dispelled rumors circulating about her pricey facelift, talked about her long-term age-gap relationship with Corey Gamble, and while she was really unconcerned about most of the scuttlebutt, she did admit to one thing when Khloé Kardashian asked what rumor still bothers her. Kris said:

Who your dad is.

There was a long-standing rumor that Robert Kardashian was not Khloé’s biological father, but Khloé was the result of an affair Kris Jenner had with O.J. Simpson. This was due to how close Simpson was to the Kardashian family and the perception from fans that Khloé looked different than her older sisters Kim and Kourtney.

I can imagine the rumor bothered Kris, because it made headlines for years — Savannah Guthrie even asked Khloé about it on The Today Show. Kris continued:

The things that the media or people get fixated on is fascinating, because it’s so ridiculous. Especially since you look exactly like both of your grandmothers. Sorry, but you do.

The Kardashians have always shut down the paternity rumors, and even OJ Simpson denied having an affair Kris Jenner when he was asked about Khloé Kardashian in 2022, a couple of years before the NFL veteran and accused murderer died.

The paternity issue was a storyline on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, particularly in the Season 7 premiere (available to stream with a Hulu subscription), when Kris Jenner tried to shut down the speculation once and for all by asking Khloé Kardashian to take a paternity test. Khloé ultimately refused, saying that she didn’t need a doctor to confirm that Robert Kardashian was her dad.

Hulu: 30-Day Free Trial
Both Hulu's Ad-Supported and Ad-Free tiers give subscribers access to everything the platform has to offer, including The Kardashians, Keeping Up with the Kardashians and All's Fair starring Kim Kardashian. New and eligible returning customers can enjoy a whole month of the service for free before paying, with plans starting from $9.99 a month.View Deal

I was actually surprised this was the issue that bothered Kris Jenner, and that she didn’t bring up Kim Kardashian’s sex tape. The momager has denied for years claims that she helped her daughter “leak” the tape that she made with her then-boyfriend Ray J, even taking a lie detector test on The Late Late Show with James Corden to prove otherwise. I guess she was satisfied enough with the results to let that one go!

It’s fun to get the tea straight from the Kardashian-Jenner family members’ mouths via Khloé’s podcast, but I can’t wait for The Kardashians Season 8 to hit the 2026 TV schedule. The family has confirmed that they’ve been filming, but no official word has come yet from Hulu on a premiere date to watch the latest hijinks. Stay tuned!

Robert Kardashian’s name has come up often on the Kardashian-Jenner family’s reality shows over the years, despite his death from cancer in 2003. His ex-wife and kids have kept his memory alive through home videos and stories, and now they have a meaningful item from his past. Kim Kardashian was able to buy her father’s Bible that he gifted to O.J. Simpson during his infamous 1995 murder trial, and now she’s revealing the secret moves she made to do so.

After O.J. Simpson died in 2024, some of his personal items were auctioned off, including a Bible that Robert Kardashian gave Simpson following his arrest in 1994. Kim Kardashian made headlines in March when she attempted to purchase the Bible outside of the auction for $15,000 and was denied, which fans also saw on The Kardashians (streaming with a Hulu subscription).

Kim was determined that that wouldn’t be the end of the story, and she revealed on the November 20 episode that it wasn’t. She pulled out the Bible and said:

I just got it. I haven’t opened it yet. So if anyone was wondering who won that O.J. Simpson auction, you best believe it was me.

So how much did Kim Kardashian end up shelling out for the sentimental item? The Bible sold at auction for $80,276, which we now know returned the book to the daughter of its original owner. That’s a lot more than the actress had originally offered for it (but still less than the Birkin bags they’ve exchanged at birthdays), but I’m sure no price would have been too high for the billionaire to reclaim this piece of her dad’s history.

The All’s Fair star explained that her initial offer to buy the Bible was “leaked” to TMZ, which was “obviously” an attempt to drive up sales for the auction, Kim Kardashian said, continuing:

I get the game, but I definitely don’t want to be used in that situation. So, we used an alias to bid on the Bible so that my name wouldn’t be traced back to it.

Well, the cat’s out of the Birkin bag now. The SKIMS boss made this reveal on the latest episode of The Kardashians to air on the 2025 TV schedule, “The Love That You Once Had.” She told her daughter, Chicago:

You are not going to believe what it is, nor will you even care, but you will understand one day. This is really special to me because this used to be my daddy’s. When someone goes to heaven, their energy is always here with us.

Flipping through Robert Kardashian's Bible provided a bit of a surprise for Kim, as she said:

I thought it was a Bible that my dad bought O.J. and wrote in it. It’s actually my dad’s Bible with his name inscribed on it. I didn’t know that.

There were also notes in the margins and passages underlined that Kim said had to have been made by O.J. Simpson because it wasn’t in Robert Kardashian’s handwriting. She told Chicago that her dad had given the Bible to a friend to give him “motivation from Jesus,” but stopped short of giving the 7-year-old any other details, leaving it at:

He went to jail. It’s a long story. I’ll tell you when you’re older.

I would be so interested to hear how that story is relayed to the Kardashian family's next generation. As for where Robert Kardashian’s Bible is going next, Kim already knows which of her siblings the Good Book will go to:

I am so excited to give this to Khloé. She was the one that showed me this auction first, so I think that she deserves to have this Bible.

That is a really nice gesture, and even though Kim Kardashian had to use super secret methods (and shell out quite a few bucks) to secure the family heirloom, I’m sure they’re all relieved to have the book back.

Watch Kim Kardashian on Hulu: 30-Day Free Trial
Both Hulu's Ad-Supported and Ad-Free tiers give subscribers access to everything the platform has to offer, including original shows like The Kardashians and Kim Kardashian's new legal drama All's Fair. Simpson Attorney Speaks Out After Diddy Sentencing" width="600" height="338" frameborder="0" scrolling="auto" allowfullscreen>
The lengthy legal saga of Sean “Diddy” Combs culminated in a sentencing hearing that was held in New York last week. Judge Arun Subramanian sentenced Diddy to four years in prison (or 50 months, to be more precise), and the rapper was also ordered to pay a $500,000 fine. Since the hearing, celebrities and legal experts alike have shared their reactions to Judge Subramanian’s decision. However, one of O.J. Simpson’s lawyers isn’t holding back about a major mistake they think Combs made ahead of his sentencing.

Apparently, even before the judge revealed Sean Combs’ sentence, the 55-year-old rapper was already making career-based plans. More specifically, Fox News Digital reports that Combs was making immediate plans to head over to another state for a speaking engagement. Such a move would seemingly indicate that Combs believed he would be released. Veteran attorney Alan Dershowitz – who famously represented “The Juice” during his murder trial – believes Combs’ actions in that regard were “stupid”:

I can't imagine anything more stupid than that. How anybody permitted him to do that … It's just a slap in the face to the judge. It's outrageous. I can't imagine any lawyer or any responsible person allowing … I would have quit the case.

While Alan Dershowitz seems to take issue with the “Satisfy You” performer himself, his comments also suggest that he’s disappointed with the star’s lawyers for “allowing” that speaking engagement to be discussed. The main argument Dershowitz seems to be making is that by working to organize a gig ahead of his sentencing, Combs was putting the cart before the horse. Dershowitz wasn’t done talking about the situation, either, as he expressed further disapproval of Combs’ business endeavor:

If I had been Diddy's lawyer and Diddy had said, 'I'm gonna make an arrangement, and I'm going to make it public.' I would've said, 'Yeah, and you're going to get a new lawyer. I'm not representing somebody who is so stupid and arrogant.' I mean, I'm not Dr. Kevorkian. I don't believe in walking my clients into a death chamber. And that was a kiss of death.

Dershowitz actually isn’t the first member of O.J. Simpson’s “Dream Team” of lawyers to have commented on the Combs trial. Robert Shapiro weighed in following the conclusion of Combs’ sex-trafficking trial back in July. At the time, Shapiro theorized that the music mogul may be sentenced to 2.5 to 3.5 years in prison. Shapiro’s thinking stemmed from the fact that Combs received a mixed verdict at the end of his court case.

More on Diddy

<img id="n6W5sVCx7AZrgafLoqm38H" name="p diddy interview" caption="" alt="P. Those latter two offenses were the most severe charges Combs was facing though, even without them, he was still facing a maximum sentence of 20 years behind bars.

Following the sentencing, a reaction came from Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, who testified during the trial and previously sued him for alleged sex-trafficking, violence and more. Ventura’s lawyer released a statement to ABC News and, in it, he stated that the sentence couldn’t “undo the trauma caused by Combs” but it “recognizes the impact of the serious offenses he committed.” Meanwhile Danity Kane alum Aubrey O’Day cautioned young artists to keep themselves protected when dealing with people in power.

As it stands, Team Combs is planning to appeal the sentencing, though such a move hasn’t been officially done, as of this writing. Whether or not Diddy’s planned speaking engagement actually played into the judge’s decision, as Alan Dershowitz argues, is ultimately unclear. For now, the public at large will have to wait and see what Combs’ next move will be.

It’s been nearly two weeks since a verdict was delivered in the trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs. The 55-year-old rapper ultimately received a mixed verdict, which saw him found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution but not guilty on a count of racketeering and sex-trafficking each. After the mixed verdict was delivered, Combs was denied bail, and he’s currently awaiting his sentence. Legal experts, all the while, continue to weigh in on the matter, with O.J. Simpson’s former lawyer being one of the latest to do so.

The racketeering (or RICO) charge in Diddy’s case was the most severe offense that prosecutors were pursuing. So some experts have opined that the embattled music and fashion mogul saw a significant win in that he was found not guilty on that charge. Robert Shapiro, however, is still of the belief that the rapper will receive 2.5 to 3.5 years. Additionally, Shapiro shared the following sentiments with Fox News:

Whether or not he had a criminal history, I don't know. That could raise it. But, having said that and having seen that this judge did not release him on bail, I think a message may be coming that you're going to be spending a lot more time, so no reason to let you come out and come back in.

More on Diddy

<img id="BuAQYnnwfGaYdQfcb4UQzj" name="P. Do He And Kanye West Plan To Collaborate?

Robert Shapiro is certainly no stranger to high-profile legal cases, as he was one of the key members of O.J. Simpson’s legal team when he was on trial for the murders of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman. Ultimately, Shapiro and his colleagues were successful in defending Brown, who was ultimately acquitted. It should be said, however, that there are different variables in play when it comes to the late Simpson’s case and that of Sean Combs. There’s also the fact that Combs has now been convicted and facing jail time. Based on the charges, he could face a maximum of 20 years behind bars, though prosecutors recommended between four and five years.

Diddy’s stint in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center began in late 2024 after he was arrested. Before he was taken into custody, the “Let's Get It” performer was facing a number of lawsuits pertaining to alleged violence, sexual assault and sex-trafficking. The first of those suits came in 2023 from his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, who also testified at his trial. A major point of discussion in the situation is the 2016 hotel footage that shows Diddy assaulting Ventura. Robert Shapiro thinks this could factor into sentencing, too:

If the judge looks at that tape in his mind and is reminded about it again… I think there is a real chance that a substantial sentence will be forthcoming.

A lot of uncertainty remains for Sean Combs and those in his orbit right now. The Grammy winner’s bodyguard, Big Homie, is aiming to leave the US in fear of retaliation from certain forces, and even Combs’ personal chef is worried about the future. Despite the unknown variables, Combs’ lawyers expressed enthusiasm over the verdict. After the ruling was confirmed, the rapper’s legal team said they were “not nearly done fighting” and were “just getting started.”

Diddy’s sentencing is set to take place on October 3, and he’ll remain behind bars in the meantime. Like the rest of us, Robert Shapiro will just have to wait and see what Judge Arun Subramanian decides upon.

Beyond such appreciation for surreal UK comedy, Nick also indulges in as much horror splendor as possible, from Stephen King novels to James Tynion IV comics to Freddy Krueger one-liners to all things Mike Flanagan. Throw in a dash of NFL, some 311 and Weird Al, fried crawfish poboys, bourbon, ‘90s-era pro wrestling, crossword puzzles and mystery-driven video games, and baby, you got a stew going. (Nick will insert an Arrested Development reference into every conversation, if possible.)

What He's Excited About: Anything Jeff Lemire, Tom King and W. Maxwell Prince think of, ever. More of Kelly Reilly’s deliriously fierce performances on Yellowstone. HBO’s The Last of Us. Clone High’s return. Colin Farrell’s Penguin being in every movie/TV show/breakfast cereal.
</dc:description>

(More on that lower.) Still, I expected it to be a mainstay atop Netflix’s Top 10 rankings long enough to justify the early Season 3 order, and yet it’s already been replaced at #1 for the second time.

O.J. Simpson And The WWE Have Taken The Night Agent Down

Less than a week after The Night Agent's Peter Sutherland returned to fans' lives — with Rose questionably still along for the ride — the four-part docuseries American Manhunt: O.J. Simpson hit the 2025 TV schedule and put audiences right back in the midst of the early '90s when the former NFL star and his mega-trial was go-to headline fodder.

Quite a lot of people have apparently been content with diving back into that tragedy-fueled media circus. (At least those who were actually alive when the murder trial took place.) The limited series took over the #1 spot to kick off the first weekend of February, and Gabriel Basso's high-stakes drama fell back down to #2.

Here's a full rundown for the day's rankings:

Netflix's Top 10 TV Shows - February 2, 2025

1. American Manhunt: O.J. Simpson

2. The Night Agent

3. The Recruit

4. American Primeval

5. Sakamoto Days

6. Younger

7. Squid Game

8. Mo

9. XO, Kitty

10. The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse

Shawn Ryan's adaptation of Matthew Quirk's novel held the top ranking in Netflix's Top 10 soon after it debuted on January 23, but was rather quickly replaced by WWE's latest Monday Night Raw episode less than a week later. Given how huge it was when the streaming platform took over rights for Raw, it wasn't so surprising that the pre-Royal Rumble installment was watched by a slew of people.

But I'm not sure how many people would have expected yet another look at the notorious O.J. Simpson trial to become Netflix's most watched original programming, much less for more than one day.

The Night Agent's Netflix Rankings May Be Tied To Audience Criticisms

Interestingly enough, critical reactions to The Night Agent largely matched up with what was said about Season 1, and Season 2 even managed to land a higher score on Rotten Tomatoes: 83% S2 approval vs. 74% for S1. But seasonal comparisons stand out quite a bit more when it comes to the viewers themselves.

The government thriller’s Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes currently sits at 40% for Season 2, which is a fairly shocking drop from the 78% score earned by Season 1. More than 500 fans' thoughts were tallied for that score, so this isn't just a case of a minority opinion being magnified.

The complaints logged ranged from disinterest in Rose's continued presence, the writing, the dialogue, the actors, and somehow even more. The comment below, shared by "Amanda B," hits a lot of the points that others made about the changes made.

Now I know why Gabriel Basso wants to quit acting… how many great concepts have to be ruined by a horrendous sequel before showrunners/scriptwriters/directors realize it is, in fact, NOT the smartest move to deviate from everything that made your first outing a success? I was expecting a drastically different vibe from this second season - it had to be, thanks to the specific premise of season one and all logical evolutions of Peter’s story from there - but I never thought I’d find myself probing every second of these ten episodes, trying to find proof of life for anything that had made the first iteration so great.

Not that there weren't still plenty of relatively positive opinions shared, and not that this limited group of opinions can legitimately explain why the show isn't maintaining an audience big enough to stay at #1. But it wouldn't take the formation of a clandestine government agency to unofficially put two and two together.

No matter what its eventual viewership ends up being, The NIght Agent Season 3 is on the way to give us more from a big Season 1 character, as well as many more badass fight scenes, at least hopefully.

Passionate about entertainment since grade school, the movies have always held a special place in his life, which explains his current occupation. Writing in some way, shape, or form since fifth grade, Mike’s time at CinemaBlend started in 2014, when he was hired as a freelance writer. In 2019, Mr. Reyes became a full time fixture of the CB staff, a decision that the management still hotly debates to this very day, questioning whether it was “a good idea, or the best idea?” Mike graduated from Drew University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, but swore off of running for public office a long time ago. You can hear him on various podcasts, you just need to know where to look.

What He's Into: This is a tough question to answer, as Mike’s kind of into a lot of things. Most prominently, he is CinemaBlend’s James Bond expert, thanks to being raised with a healthy appreciation for the storied spy series and anything espionage related. Mike has several other specialized fields that he’s been passionate about since his early years. Among those interests are breaking down the ins and outs of time travel, studying and admiring Large Scale Aggressors, Titans, Kaiju, and dinosaurs; as well as detective work. Adjacent to his entertainment interests, Mr. Reyes enjoys the worlds of high end mens fashion (eyewear included), fine alcohol and cocktails, and the comforts of a good book or video game. If you ask nicely, he might even dip back into his experience as a singer, just for fun.

What He's Excited About Right Now: The continuing hunt for the new James Bond, any and all updates about how Adam Wingard and Dan Stevens are turning Godzilla vs. Kong 2 into a stealth sequel to The Guest, and the potential for Tron: Ares to somehow be the sequel Tron: Ascension was promised to be. Also, a good excuse to be sent on another theme park assignment, and anything Guillermo del Toro has cooking,
</dc:description>

Throughout his career as an NFL star, actor, and public figure, OJ Simpson always knew how to play the crowd. Even in the high profile legal wranglings that ensued after accusations of his murdering wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her lover Ronald Goldman, the world couldn’t tear itself away from the media circus. It’s both the good and the bad that will be remembered, especially today, as Simpson has been reported dead at 76.

Earlier this year there were reports that the star of one of the best ‘90s movies The Naked Gun and HBO’s 1st and 10 was undergoing treatment for cancer, which was unfortunately the cause of death attributed in a family announcement. Taking to OJ’s Twitter feed, the Heisman Trophy winner’s passing was revealed through the following message:

On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace.-The Simpson FamilyApril 11, 2024

An acclaimed athlete, O.J. Simpson’s time with both the Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49’ers was the foundation that helped catapult the California native into the public consciousness. However, his interest in acting had always been present, with uncredited appearances on both Dragnet and Ironside serving as his first on-screen credits in 1968.

But of course, the murder trial that ran between January 24 and October 3, 1995 seems to overshadow such a career. One of the most intensely covered court proceedings of its time, O.J. Simpson would eventually be acquitted of his supposed role in murdering Nicole Brown and her boyfriend at her Brentwood condominium.

That didn’t stop the public or the press from continuing to litigate the issue, as a high profile civil trial, and TV specials like O.J.: The Lost Confession would revisit the subject for some time. Most notably perhaps in the 2016 entry to ESPN's 30 for 30 documentary series, entitled O.J.: Made in America, the subject of Simpson's life and times was examined through the lenses of "race and celebrity" as it applied to his achievements, accusations, and struggles.

In his later years, O.J. Simpson seemed to enjoy focusing his celebrity through social media. Giving shout outs to his fans, and addressing rumors like his alleged fathering of Khloe Kardashian, Simpson kept it light until the end. You could even see that in the currently pinned tweet on his profile, which includes this video:

Thanks to all my new followers. Love learning how to use Twitter. pic.twitter.com/J4JnN59yKlJune 16, 2019

No matter how you see O.J. Simpson’s career, it’s hard to deny that the man was a favorite of the media. Though his professional and personal battles ebbed and flowed in his life, his personality was always camera ready. His passing will undoubtedly intensify the debate over what his true legacy will be; but at the same time, people will be talking about The Juice.

We here at CinemaBlend send our sincerest condolences to OJ Simpson’s family and friends, as they navigate this time of grief and remembrance.

Simpson" width="600" height="338" frameborder="0" scrolling="auto" allowfullscreen>
The sexual assault case revolving around Danny Masterson finally came to an end this past week, as he was found guilty in the retrial verdict. The veteran actor was convicted on two count of forcible rape and is currently facing up to 30 years in prison. After the decision was delivered, the Ranch star was taken to prison, where he’ll await his sentencing. In the aftermath, alleged details of his incarceration are starting to reach the surface, and it now seems his prison stint will have something in common with O.J. Simpson’s.

At present, the That ‘70s Show alum is being held at L.A. County Men's Central Jail, which is the same facility that once housed O.J. Simpson. In 2008, the former football player was notably found guilty on 12 counts stemming from an armed robbery situation. “The Juice” isn’t the only famous face to have stayed at the jail either, as music producer Suge Knight has as well. The former exec – who’s had his fair share of legal issues over the years – is incarcerated now, though he’s currently serving out his 28-year sentence at San Diego’s RJ Donovan Correctional Facility.

As Danny Masterson continues his own stint at Men’s Central Jail, he’s apparently been put under “administrative segregation.” TMZ reports that this measure has been instituted for the actor’s well-being.

The 47-year-old actor’s conviction stems from rape charges involving multiple women, who claim that he sexually assaulted them between 2001 and 2003. While he was found guilty on two counts, a third left the jury deadlocked. Eight jurors voted in favor of a guilty verdict, while the other four voted not to convict in that regard. Said charge stemmed from allegations made by the star’s ex-girlfriend, Chrissie Carnell, who chose to identify herself as one of his accusers.

More on Danny Masterson's Case

Ex-Scientologist Speaks Out Amid Danny Masterson Trial About Why Alleged Victims Wouldn’t Have Gone To Law Enforcement

It’s said that after the verdict was read, Danny Masterson’s friends and family who were in attendance were allegedly left gobsmacked by the decision. Masterson’s wife, Bijou Phillips, allegedly had a particularly visceral reaction, as reports claim she wept after he was led out of the courtroom in handcuffs. Since the end of the trial, a few notable individuals have spoken out. Leah Remini – who was once a Scientologist as Masterson currently is – reacted to the verdict, calling it “the beginning of our plan” to hold the Church of Scientology “accountable.” Remini actually attended the trial herself and later shot down claims that she would take the stand to testify.

The King of Queens actress’ presence during the proceedings was far from the only notable development to take place over the course of the retrial and the original case, which was declared a mistrial due to a hung jury. The first time around, Judge Charlaine Olmedo chastised the opening statements of both the prosecution and the defense due to the heavy influence that Scientology had on their remarks. And in this latest trial, the former Netflix star’s ex-girlfriend shared a harrowing testimony about her reported experiences with him.

A sentencing hearing is currently scheduled for August 4. Danny Masterson’s defense team also requested that he remain free until that time, though that move was ultimately struck down by the judge. While he’s at L.A. County Men's Central Jail, he’ll receive occasional cell phone privileges and recreational time, which may have been conditions that O.J. Simpson and others were subjected to.

Simpson Responds To Rumors That He’s Khloé Kardashian’s Father Following Years Of Speculation" width="600" height="338" frameborder="0" scrolling="auto" allowfullscreen>
Though they didn’t truly rise to prominence until the 2000s, the Kardashian-Jenners have been public figures for quite some time. With that in mind, there are a few long-standing rumors that have surrounded the socialites for years. One of those involves O.J. Simpson, who was friends with the late Robert Kardashian. For decades, people have speculated that Simpson is the true father of Robert’s youngest daughter, Khloé Kardashian. Now, the legally embattled former football player is responding to the rumors regarding Khloé’s parentage.

Many have questioned Khloé Kardashian’s lineage due to her physical appearance. Because she’s much taller than her sisters and seemingly doesn’t quite resemble them in other respects, some believe there’s reason to be skeptical. Kris Jenner has shut down the rumors, while Khloé seems to have mostly blocked out the noise. So what does O.J. Simpson think about the assumption that he fathered the reality TV star and businesswoman? Well, during his appearance on the Full Send Podcast, he flat-out denied having played a role in the star's conception:

The rumor ain’t true. It’s not even nowhere close to being true. It’s just that I’ve never been attracted to [Kris Jenner], and I’ve never suspected she was ever attracted to me. So that was never a case.

The former Buffalo Bill seemed pretty adamant while discussing the chatter Interestingly, he also mentioned that he heard something about a “cook” being involved in that rumor but opted not to expand on the theory. During the chat, he also divulged whether he was ever attracted to the successful momager:

People have their types, right? I always thought Kris was a cute girl, she was really nice. But you know, I was dating supermodels.

Much has been said about Kris Jenner and whether she truly had a child by another man during her marriage to Robert Kardashian. When arguing in favor of the notion, people point to the affair that Jenner has been open about. The media personality previously admitted that she regretted her infidelity and said that it “broke up” her family. Nevertheless, she continues to declare that Robert is Khloé’s papa.

O.J. Simpson has a lasting connection to the famous family. In addition to being Simpson’s good friend, Robert Kardashian was also part of his legal team when he stood trial between 1994 and '95 for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. Kris Jenner was good friends with Brown Simpson and was drawn into the drama surrounding the case at the time. After the highly publicized legal situation (which was dramatized on American Crime Story), Kardashian and Simpson’s friendship reportedly broke down. Simpson doesn’t seem to have any kind of relationship with the family now, though Kim Kardashian did joke about him during her zinger-filled SNL monologue in 2021. The barbs later drew backlash from Brown Simpson’s sister (who also chastised Chris Rock for comments he made around that time).

While O.J. Simpson has rebuffed the rumor, people are sure to still have their assumptions. I wouldn’t expect any members of the Kardashian family to entertain any additional fan takes on the subject moving forward, however. Those who want to see the group engage in other types of drama, though, can stream The Kardashians using a Hulu subscription.

He started writing for the website in December 2019, though his journey in journalism started years earlier. Writing gigs with school newspapers, multiple daily newspapers, and other varied job experiences led him to this point where he actually gets to write about movies, shows, wrestling, and documentaries (which is a huge win in his eyes).

What He's Into: As has been in the case for many years, Philip loves all things professional wrestling (especially early '90s WCW and late-stage WCW if we're being honest). But outside of the squared circle, Philip is obsessed with all things George A. Romero as you can probably tell by the plethora of zombie stories he's written over the years. Documentaries, especially Frontline specials, are another passion for Philip, and he can often be heard going on and on about why everyone should watch some random doc about an obscure movie no one has ever seen before.

What He's Excited About Right Now: Oppenheimer... so much so that his wife has asked him multiple times to stop talking about it (but he keeps doing it). He's also into Peacock's Twisted Metal series, which has rekindled his love of the classic vehicular combat video game. And since we're being all nostaglic, he's pumped to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.
</dc:description>

Ever since Discovery+ launched in January 2020, the streaming service has become the go-to place to watch for fans of Discovery, HGTV, TLC, ID, and other channels specializing in reality shows and docuseries. There are plenty of home remodeling programs, wildlife series, and everything else under the Discovery umbrella available on the platform, and the streamer’s true crime section is one of its most impressive. With documentaries, docuseries, and specials about the mysterious deaths of JonBenét Ramsey and Brittany Murphy, as well as vicious murders like the ones carried out by Chris Watts, there’s a lot to take in.

And although we don’t yet know how Discovery+ and its massive library of titles will be affected by the Discovery/HBO merger, for now there are plenty of great true crime shows to check out!
No Kardashian or Jenner was safe from the jokes when Kim Kardashian served as host of Saturday Night Live. The star poked fun at her sisters, estranged husband Kanye West and former stepdad Caitlyn Jenner, to name a few. But a few jokes in Kardashian’s monologue related to the famous family’s connection to O.J. Simpson and the late Nicole Brown, and they drew the ire of Brown’s family.

Kim Kardashian joked in the Saturday Night Live monologue that her father, Robert Kardashian — who served as one of O.J. Simpson’s defense attorneys in the murder trial following the killings of Nicole Brown and Rod Goldman — introduced her to her first Black person. Kim asked the audience, “Want to take a stab in the dark at who it was?” Kardashian continued, saying meeting Simpson left a mark, “or several. Or none at all. I still don’t know.” Tanya Brown, Nicole’s sister, called the jokes “distasteful,” according to TMZ, criticizing SNL for making Nicole’s brutal murder into a joke:

Tanya says the jokes were ‘beyond inappropriate and insensitive’ and she's questioning just how much the Kardashians actually cared about Nicole.

Kris Jenner, in particular, was close with Nicole Brown and, at this time, it's unclear as to how she felt about the jokes. TMZ reports that Tanya Brown wishes the star would have made the murder an off-limits topic:

Kim should have pushed back or refused to do the jokes, assuming SNL writers came up with the bit.

To be fair, we don’t know what conversations did happen between the writers and the media mogul, and whether or not she did push back against more or different material. But either way, it resulted in pain for the family of a woman who was brutally murdered in 1994.

Seemingly no subject was taboo for Kim Kardashian’s first SNL hosting appearance, as she joked about her impending divorce with Kanye West; called her mother’s boyfriend, Corey Gamble, a gold-digger; parodied sister Kourtney Kardashian’s passionate relationship with Travis Barker; and even joked that her mom Kris Jenner was involved in the release of her sex tape back in 2007.

O.J. Simpson has been connected to the Kardashians in the tabloids for years — not for his relationship with the late Robert Kardashian, but rather for the speculated relationship he had with Kris Jenner. The rumor that Simpson is the biological father of Khloe Kardashian was one that wouldn’t seem to go away. It was to the point that Simpson even commented on it ahead of Khloe giving birth to daughter, Tru Thompson, saying he was not Khloe's father:

I have nothing to do with it. I would be proud ... but trust me, I had nothing to do with it.

Up next for Saturday Night Live hosting duties is new James Bond villain Rami Malek with musical guest Young Thug. And stay tuned for news about Kim Kardashian’s upcoming Hulu reality series, which will, in part, feature Kim Kardashian’s quest to follow in her father’s footsteps and become a lawyer.
The Masked Singer Season 5 is moving right along, and with every passing week, viewers and judges get that much closer to discovering the identities of its competitors. This season has definitely made guessing more of a challenge with its wild card competitors and some contestants who could be any number of people. One example of that is Grandpa Monster, who the internet has had trouble tracking down.

Grandpa Monster, who is the latest Monster to grace the program, isn't the best singer the Fox series has seen. He does have a lot of energy, though, and can hop around quite a bit. With those minor details out of the way, let's dive into the clues given so far and see if we can't figure out who this mystery competitor may be.

The Clues

The first clue package for Grandpa Monster showed a chalkboard with X's and O's, with a play that made the number 6. Grandpa Monster was in a classroom and mentioned "acting out." He received a test score of 97%, and a spider-web was seen catching a star. The scene then cut to a beach, in which Grandpa Monster said he hoped people weren't afraid of who he was years ago.

The general gist seemed to be that Grandpa Monster is someone who is both an actor and athlete and also an internet star. It's also someone with a controversial kind of past that may give them a bad reputation in the public eye. That's a pretty specific description, but as we'll see in the options below, the clues hit the mark for more than a few folks.

O.J. Simpson

When it comes to celebrities with a complicated past, it's hard to top O.J. Simpson. The football star and actor's prior accolades were all but forgotten after he was accused of murdering his ex-wife and her friend. Simpson was found not guilty and has garnered more controversy in years with publicity stunts and actual time in prison. He's out now, though, and certainly has the time in his schedule to cover The Masked Singer if asked. Plus, the "X's" and "O's" part could refer to his football past, and that acting reference also is right in line with Grandpa Monster.

Jake Paul

Even if you're not someone who frequents YouTube, it's hard to avoid the headlines surrounding Jake and Logan Paul these days. The brothers started out on Vine and have cultivated a massive online following via their respective YouTube channels. Jake Paul had a brief stint on Disney Channel, but after a few controversies, parted ways and entered the fighting circuit. Jake Paul is certainly a controversial figure, though one that may be a little more television-safe for The Masked Singer than O.J. Simpson.

Mike "The Miz" Mizanin

Mike "The Miz" Mizanin started out on The Real World: Back To New York, but most people would know him now as one of WWE's biggest stars. The Miz has had notable title runs within the WWE, and as one of the brand's more charismatic stars, has appeared in shows, movies, and even has his own reality television series. With that said, most of his notable controversies exist solely in the world of the WWE, where he's one of the greatest cowardly heels the brand has seen in some time.

Michael Rapaport

Actor Michael Rapaport was certainly not my first guess for The Masked Singer, though a recent theory on Reddit about him being Grandpa Monster certainly is compelling. Obviously, the acting clues add up, and the theory pointed to Rapaport's deep involvement in fantasy football as well as his involvement in the football movie The 6th Day. It's certainly a compelling argument, but could Rapaport be on The Masked Singer?

Our Best Guess

I have to admit, the guess for Michael Rapaport is really good, but I just don't know if Rapaport can move or sing like we saw Grandpa Monster did in his first performance. Plus, Rapaport is without a doubt famous, though I'd say he was a television star and movie star long before he was ever someone to be associated with fame on the internet. I'm not fully ruling it out, but for the moment, I'm not hitching my wagon to this guess compared to the one I'm fully on board with.

Right now, I'm feeling pretty good that The Masked Singer's Grandpa Monster is Jake Paul. The brief stint in acting, the current sports fighting career, and the fact that he's a huge YouTube star all connect the dots clue-wise, though I'll admit there are some more connections that I haven't been able to track down yet.

One thing I do feel pretty sure about, however, is the voice match. The first performance of Lou Bega's "Mambo No. 5" definitely sounds like Jake Paul, especially when you mix it with one of his rap videos floating around on YouTube. Plus, the way Grandpa Monster dropped down to his knees and jumped back up again definitely indicated that it's someone young and in decent shape, and Jake Paul is certainly the best candidate for that on this list.

As far as how confident I am on this guess, I'm going to say I'm at 80%. Ultimately Grandpa Monster could also be some professional athlete that's far less obvious than most other celebrity guesses. With that said, I do think there's enough compelling evidence here to say Jake Paul is definitely a strong possibility and the voice of Grandpa Monster sounds very similar.
Tiger King is the Netflix sensation that has subscribers everywhere talking about Joe Exotic, Carole Baskin, and what exactly happened to Carole Baskin's first husband since his disappearance back in 1997. She has remarried in the years since Don Lewis went missing, and Tiger King never delivered a definitive explanation for what happened. In fact, a lot of people in and out of the docu-series are of the opinion that Baskin killed her husband and fed him to her tigers.

As it turns out, O.J. Simpson has some very public thoughts as well. He took to Twitter to explain that people have been asking him to watch Tiger King, which is likely an especially big hit for Netflix due to the coronavirus social distancing. He finally gave in and watched six of the seven episodes before sharing his opinion about Don Lewis' disappearance and Carole Baskin's alleged role:

This show is crazy. But it’s so crazy you kinda keep watching. One thing I will say, there’s not a shred of doubt in my mind, that that lady’s husband is tiger sashimi right now. I’m just saying. Take care, and I hope you find something better to watch!

Add O.J. Simpson to the list of Tiger King viewers who think Carole Baskin killed her husband and fed him to tigers! Netflix subscribers who have checked out the docu-series aren't the only ones putting thought into what happened to Don Lewis. Tampa's Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister hit social media to "ask for new leads" in the case, and the fact that he included #CaroleBaskin in the tweet makes it pretty clear that Lewis' wife is a prime suspect.

The sheriff has stated that he's already receiving multiple tips per day and Carole Baskin refused a polygraph, after advice from her lawyer. O.J. Simpson's instincts don't quite make for evidence that could help out Chad Chronister in cracking the case. Baskin refuted claims that she had a role in her husband's disappearance on her Big Cat Rescue website, but the speculation is unlikely to die down for as long as Tiger King remains on the top of Netflix's Top 10.

O.J. Simpson had more to say about Tiger King than just that he thinks Carole Baskin killed her first husband and fed him to tigers. Take a look at the full video that Simpson shared on social media:

Carole Baskin hasn't been quiet in the aftermath of Tiger King, and not just because of her denial of accusations that she killed her husband. She shared a message for Saturday Night Live fan-favorite Kate McKinnon, who is working on a miniseries in which she'd play Baskin. Doc Antle, who also appeared in Tiger King is a less-than-flattering light, reacted to his portrayal as well. PETA isn't happy about Tiger King either, but that's hardly a surprise.

Up next: Netflix's Tiger King: 9 True Facts That Didn't Make The Documentary

If you haven't checked out Tiger King just yet, you can find all seven episodes of the docu-series streaming right now on Netflix.
O.J. Simpson's murder trial ended over 20 years ago, and American audiences still can't hear enough about it. The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story's 9 Emmy wins are a testament to that, and Fox is once again dipping its hand into the cookie jar in an attempt get America hooked on another O.J. related television program. The network is reviving its O.J. Simpson: The Lost Confession? special, and promises an engaging story will emerge from this never-before-seen footage.

Fox network filmed O.J. Simpson: The Lost Confession? back in 2006, with O.J. Simpson and interviewer Judith Regan in what was to be a no-holds-barred conversation. The interview will presumably feature Simpson recounting a scenario in which he may have murdered his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. Fox intends to air the two-hour special Sunday, March 11 with limited commercial interruption, and will have Soledad O'Brien hosting the event with a panel of analysts commenting on and examining the interview. Fox has released a trailer for the special, which shows Simpson teasing that there are some parts of the trial the world got wrong:

The tapes for O.J. Simpson: The Lost Confession? were "lost," for over a decade, although its far more likely Fox was sitting on the interview and waiting for the right time to release it. Fox tried to air the special back in 2006, which was meant to coincide with O.J. Simpson's book If I Did It, but faced a massive public outcry for the attempt. Viewers threatened to boycott advertisers who aired commercials on Fox, and former Fox News host Bill O'Reilly even took a stand against his employer and condemned the effort. Eventually, Fox buckled under the pressure and dropped plans to air the interview. Though O.J. Simpson: The Lost Confession? never aired and the book was never published, Simpson was believed to have been paid for his participation in both.

Fox did not offer comment as to why it changed its mind, but did say that it intended to air public service announcements about domestic violence during O.J. Simpson: The Lost Confession? Most likely, the network saw the success of The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story on FX and wagered the world would be far more accepting of the interview than it was back in 2006. While some comments on the trailer still show outrage that this special is again attempting to come to television, more comments are those wagering whether or not Simpson will confess, which may indicate Fox was right in its wager.

O.J. Simpson: The Lost Confession? airs on Fox Sunday, March 11 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
As far as American pop culture goes, everyone knows that the Kardashian family is at the top. Kim Kardashian and her family have been on TV for a whopping 14 season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, remaining a main stay of the pop culture lexicon for over a decade. But years before E! would bring them to our TV every Sunday night, the Kardashian clan were introduced to the American public through the O.J. Simpson trial. The late Robert Kardashian was one of Simpson's best friends, and rumors have long swirled that Khloe Kardashian was in fact O.J.'s daughter, and not Robert's. And now Simpson has commented on the situation directly, after being asked if he feels proud of Khloe now that she's expecting her first child. His response was as follows:

Well, for Bob (Kardashian), God bless his soul, yeah. I don't know for me. I don't think for me I have nothing to do with it. I would be proud ... but trust me, I had nothing to do with it.

It looks like The Juice is shutting dow the rumors about Khloe Kardashian's parentage, and seems to be congratulating both Khloe and the late Robert Kardashian on her pregnancy announcement.

This statement by O.J. Simpsons comes to us from TMZ, who managed to get ahold of the former professional athlete in Vegas. He seems to completely deny any role he could have within the Kardashian family, aside from being Robert's buddy and a former family friend of Kris and the kids.

Rumors about O.J. Simpson possibly being Khloe Kardashian's real father have been swirling since the family began appearing in Keeping up with the Kardashians. Khloe has a much more broad and tall frame than her sisters Kim and Kourtney; this inspired many to believe that she might not share the same genetic makeup as her sisters, and could possibly be O.J. Simpson's biological daughter.

Of course, the implications of this rumor would put a fair amount of blame on Kris Jenner and O.J. Simpson. It would mean that the duo had an affair 34 years ago, and have been covering up for it for over three decades. This is no doubt a painful rumor for both Khloe and Kris, and is one that has actually been addressed during episodes of Keeping up with the Kardashians.

This isn't the first time that Kris Jenner has been accused of cheating. She famously had an affair with Todd Waterman, which was largely the cause of her divorce with Robert Kardashian. It's also been reported that her affair with Waterman and the beginning of her relationship with Bruce Jenner happened around the same time, making Jenner's three lovers all have some overlap with one another.

Hopefully this statement by O.J. Simpson will put Khloe Kardashian's mind at ease, as she focuses on her newly announced pregnancy with boyfriend Tristan Thompson.

Up next: Khloe Kardashian Is All Over Kim K's New Nude Photos With Braids

With the news that the Nevada State Parole Commission granted parole for O.J. Simpson, some people have been wondering what the 70-year-old former professional football player might do when he leaves the Lovelock Correction Center in October. But there is actually already a new job offer on the table. Apparently, the owner of an infamous brothel in Las Vegas wants Simpson for "immediate employment." Dennis Hof, the owner of the Bunny Ranch brothel, seems to think O.J. Simpson would be the perfect candidate for a job at his company. Hof said,

One of the conditions of a prisoner being granted parole is always having an established place to live and a job to go to, and I can offer O.J. both of those in a unique setting that he's going to thrive in.

Dennis Hof complimented O.J. Simpson as "one of the most charismatic people that you will ever meet," and he indicated that Simpson would flourish in the business because, according to Hof, the legal prostitution industry is all about "warm greetings and friendly rapport." Furthermore, Hof told The Wrap that Simpson would love working at the brothel so much that the ex-convict would never dream of getting into legal trouble again. The brothel owner said,

Porn stars like Mikki Lynn, young 22-years-olds like Tiara Tae ... Trust me. O.J. won't dare screw up this gig. All he has to do is keep himself clean, and he may want to live out the rest of his days right here at The Bunny Ranch.

However, it appears not everyone at the Bunny Ranch is keen on the idea of O.J. Simpson getting his paycheck from the brothel. Brooklyn Moore, an employee at Bunny Ranch, explained that the company faced a lot of challenges in the months after Lamar Odom went into a coma there in 2015 and nearly died. Moore called the ordeal with Odom "a nightmare." She explained,

We have worked hard to overcome the stigma that nearly consumed us, and the last thing we need is another link to the Kardashian clan coming around to ruin our business and jeopardize our safety.

O.J. Simpson's connection to the Kardashians spans back decades. The late Robert Kardashian was one of Simpson's closest confidantes, and he helped the team of defense lawyers who secured an acquittal for Simpson after he had become the prime suspect in the trial for the deaths of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman.

O.J. Simpson probably will not take up the offer to work at the Bunny Ranch. He most likely will move from Nevada to Florida to live out the winter of his life with family. After all, O.J. Simpson's eldest daughter, Arnelle Simpson, read a statement during the parole hearing and pleaded for her father's release. She talked about how much the Simpson family wanted him to return with them to Florida.

Moreover, the Commission spoke at length to O.J. Simpson about the stipulations of moving from Nevada to Florida. Plus, during the parole hearing, Simpson indicated he planned not to pursue employment that might bring him attention, such as a webcast series. Getting hired at an infamous brothel would bring nothing but attention. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

After serving nine years of a 33-year prison sentence for armed robbery and kidnapping, O.J. Simpson will be free to leave prison this fall. On Thursday, July 20, four members of the Nevada State Parole Commission reached the unanimous decision to grant Simpson parole in October. The Commission made its decision after hearing testimonies from Simpson's eldest daughter as well as Simpson himself and one of the victims from the 2007 case that put the former professional football player behind bars.

Several major television channels and gossip websites, such as TMZ, broadcast the parole hearing at Lovelock Prison in Las Vegas, Nevada. During the hearing, O.J. Simpson testified he had not intended to harm the sports-memorabilia collectors whom he and five accomplices attacked at a Las Vegas hotel-and-casino in 2007. Simpson insisted he had wanted to recover personal belongings, but not to harm anyone during the incident.

O.J. Simpson was up for parole after shaving off years of his original sentence through good behavior. He emphasized his conduct at Lovelock and stated,

I haven't made any excuses in the nine years I've been here and [I'm] not trying to make any excuses now. I take full responsibility. ... I'm at a point in my life where all I want to do is spend as much time as I can with my children and my friends. I've done my time, and I've done it was well and respectfully as I can. ... I've honored their verdict and not complained for nine years.

O.J. Simpson's daughter, Arnelle Simpson, read a statement and stressed what a challenge the nine years had been. Arnelle Simpson pleaded for her father's release and stated,

As a family, we recognize he's not the perfect man. ... I know, in my heart, he is humbled by the situation. ... I know he is remorseful. ... We want him to come home so that we can move forward for us, quietly, but to move forward.

Clark County prosecutor Steve Wolfson said he would not oppose the request for O.J. Simpson's parole. Furthermore, one of the victims of the robbery, Bruce Fromong, testified at the hearing in favor of Simpson's release and even called Simpson a friend. Fromong stated,

I feel that it's time to give him a second chance. It's time for him to go home to his family, his friends. If he called me tomorrow to say, 'I am getting out would you pick me up,' Juice, I'd be here tomorrow. I mean that, buddy.

Alfred Beardsley, the second victim in the 2007 incident, passed away in November 2015. However, O.J. Simpson's attorney, Malcolm LaVergne, stated that Beardsley reached out to him several years ago to express his forgiveness of Simpson.

The parole hearing included some odd moments. At one point, for example, Malcolm LaVergne misplaced a letter Simpson sent to Las Vegas Assemblyman Ozzie Fumo from prison. LaVergne asked Simpson if he had taken the letter, and LaVergne accidentally knocked papers onto the floor while looking for it. Upon finding the letter, LaVergne read it to reveal how Simpson used the communication not to ask for a lighter sentence, but to request educational resources for other inmates at Lovelock.

However, toward the end of the letter, O.J. Simpson had written about taking a computer class at the prison and pondered the possibility of one day starting a webcast series. Upon reaching that part in the letter, LaVergne paused and shook his finger, and Simpson immediately laughed, shook his head and said, "No."

Instead, O.J. Simpson told the court he hoped to move from Nevada to Florida for a quiet life with family and friends if the court granted him parole. He joked,

I could stay in Nevada, but I don't think you guys want me here.

A commissioner responded,

No comment, sir.

In 1994, O.J. Simpson was the prime suspect in the murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, and her friend, Ron Goldman. The trial became one of the most publicized court cases of all time. The year-long trial was a media circus and ended in Simpson's acquittal, a verdict that still polarizes many. Following the spectacle of the double-murder trial, a civil court found Simpson liable for the two deaths and sentenced the former Buffalo Bills player to pay $33.5 million in damages, an amount he still owes.

The telecast of O.J. Simpson's recent parole hearing harkened back to the major media storm surrounding the double-murder trial. It is clear people are still interested in the former professional football player's life. In fact, the double-murder trial has received renewed attention in recent years thanks to the success of shows like Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story and the Academy Award-winning OJ: Made in America. Here's hoping O.J. Simpson avoids the extra attention and sticks to his word about retreating to Florida for a quiet life now that he has been granted parole.

His humble origin story with CinemaBlend began all the way back in the pre-streaming era, circa 2009, as a freelancing DVD reviewer and TV recapper. After rising up through the ranks covering Movies, Nick leapfrogged over to the small screen to cover more and more television news and interviews, eventually taking over the section for the current era. Born in Louisiana and currently living in Texas — Who Dat Nation over America’s Team all day, all night — Nick spent several years in the hospitality industry, and also worked as a 911 operator. And if you ever happened to hear his music or read his comics/short stories, you have his sympathy. His love for his wife and daughters is almost equaled by his love of gasp-for-breath laughter and gasp-for-breath horror. A lifetime spent in the vicinity of a television screen led to his current dream job, as well as his knowledge of too many TV themes and ad jingles.

Tuesday night saw the premiere of The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story on FX, and while the results aren’t yet out about how many people watched it, we know one person who didn’t get to: the currently imprisoned O.J. Simpson. But that doesn’t mean he is opinion-free on the matter, as he has been able to eye previews and interviews about it. And what’s his final verdict? He’s not happy with Courtney B. Vance’s portrayal of attorney Johnnie Cochran.

One of Simpson’s lawyers, Malcolm LaVergne, claims the former NFL football superstar isn’t pleased with the way that Johnnie Cochran is being handled for the small screen, and that he feels the attorney isn’t being treated fairly. Simpson really admired Cochran, who died back in 2005, and apparently thinks that Cochran’s memory isn’t being honored very much in the Ryan Murphy-produced drama.

Now, this is obviously a gut reaction from O.J. Simpson rather than an actual piece of criticism. (And even if it was damning criticism, would that actually bother anybody working on the show?) Without watching actual whole episodes, there’s no way to form a realistic opinion of anything it puts forth to viewers. It’s like saying you don’t like a pair of gloves (or just one) because a magazine ad for them was boring.

Because let’s be real here. Courtney B. Vance is pretty incredible as Cochran. Having watched over half of this initial American Crime Story season, while loving almost every minute, I know I’ve gotten more time with the character than the average TV viewer. And it’s true that when this story begins, Cochran is hovering just outside of the central narrative. But as his role develops more and he becomes a major piece of the court case, Vance knocks it out of the park.

For what it’s worth, though, O.J. Simpson doesn’t appear to have a problem with watching Cuba Gooding, Jr. play O.J. Simpson, according to the NY Post. That’s good, because Gooding, Jr. is pretty solid in the role, walking that thin line between guilty murderer and unfairly harangued celebrity. It’ll be interesting to see how the show wraps things up for him.

Twitter users had a lot to say about The People v. O.J. Simpson last night, and much of it had to do with members of the Kardashian family. Personally, I thought David Schwimmer was spot-on as the worrywart Robert Kardashian, while Selma Blair was fine as Kris Jenner, and even the child actors playing the Kardashian children were pretty good.

O.J. Simpson, whose Nevada prison doesn’t carry the FX channel, will be up for parole in 2017, at which point someone should just show him clips of Phil Morris’ character Jackie Chiles, whose Johnnie Cochran impersonation is one of Seinfeld’s best gifts to the world. And by that time, we’ll have probably already gone through hearing former New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin bitch about Season 2, which will take on Hurricane Katrina.

Simpson was supposed to turn himself in to the police, following the brutal murder of his ex-wife. Instead, he left a note for his attorneys to read and took off in a white Ford Bronco. A chase ensued, and it was all over the news, capturing the attention of people across the country as they watched it play out live. The televised pursuit is an iconic event of the 90s, so it's no surprise that it would be part of National Geographic's planned three-night miniseries event The '90's: The Last Great Decade?, which airs next month.

The timing couldn't be more perfect for the above preview, as today marks the 20th anniversary of O.J. Simpson's white Ford Bronco chase. In addition to showing off the memorable CNN footage of the chase, the clip also features commentary from film director John Singleton, 90s rapper (and more currently, home renovator) Vanilla Ice and crime writer Patricia Cornwell. It's that commentary that really gives us a sample of the format of this miniseries.

It reminds me a bit of VH1's I Love the 90s, which aired about a decade ago and had comedians and 90s icons discussing fads, pop culture and current events about the decade. But it sounds like National Geographic's miniseries will take an even broader approach in its examination of the decade, focusing on politics in addition to technology, movies and music. And by the title, it also sounds like it'll pose the question of whether or not it was "the last great decade."

In addition to the above clip, National Geographic Channel and Kelton Global released the first results of their national survey, which was done to gauge people's attitudes toward the 90s. Apparently, 86% of people in this survey believe Simpson was guilty. More women than men believe he was guilty (89% vs. 84%). More republicans than democrats believe he was guilty (89% vs. 82 %). And fewer African-Americans than those of other ethnicities believe he was guilty (76% vs 88%).

Nat Geo's survey also indicates that one in four Americans think the O.J. Simpson double murder trial -- in which Simpson was found not guilty to both murders (Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman) -- is the number one news event of the '90s, above the death of Princess Diana, the Oklahoma City Bombing, the LA riots and the sex scandals of the Clinton administration. Here's another look at National Geographic's upcoming miniseries.

For those looking forward to National Geographic's thorough examination of the '90s, The '90s, The Last Great Decade?, the three-night miniseries event is scheduled to begin Sunday, July 6 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on National Geographic. Rob Lowe is set to narrate the miniseries, which will revisit the 10 years between the Cold War and the war on terror, featuring 120 original interviews with newsmakers, major entertainers and "thought leaders."

Seventeen years ago, O.J. Simpson strained to put on a pair of leather gloves in the most famous moment of the former football star’s captivating trial. He yanked and visibly labored to stretch the accessories as far as possible, but they never made down to his wrists. His attorney, Johnnie Cochran, famously told the jury, “If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit.” Weeks later, they did, and in the years since, asking Simpson to try on the gloves has been remembered as a horrible error in judgment. If you take it from the man who made the decision, however, the accessories may have been tampered with.

Former Los Angeles deputy district attorney Christopher Darden was participating in a panel discussion at Pace Law School focusing on the trial when he accused defense lawyers of manipulating the gloves to prevent O.J.’s fingers from easily sliding in. Here’s a portion of the quote, courtesy of Reuters…

"I think Johnnie tore the lining. There were some additional tears in the lining so that O.J.'s fingers couldn't go all the way up into the glove."

Cochran passed away several years ago, rendering himself unable to answer the accusation, but Alan Dershowitz, who represented O.J. alongside the legendary lawyer, leapt to his former colleague’s defense, saying Darden was simply trying to blame “the greatest legal blunder of the 20th century” on a dead man. More than two decades removed from the trial, it’s unlikely anything will come of the new allegations. Instead, they’ll simply go down as yet another layer to the most famous trial of most of our lifetimes.
