It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since Ozzy Osbourne died at 76. In the time after his passing following complications from a heart attack and his ongoing battle with Parkinson’s Disease, his family has been open about their grief and living through it. It’s been a hard 12 months, but this fall they’ve decided to pay tribute in an unexpected, but ultimately very fitting way: Ozzy’s coming to Halloween Horror Nights.

The Universal event is hitting its 35th anniversary this year, and has been pulling out the stops when it comes to both Haunted Houses and Scare Zones. It’s been a fun mix. Sinners is getting a house. The popular franchise Fortnite is getting a Scare Zone. We have some unique originals coming like Madlands: Caged Cannibals.

And now: Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness is on its way.

Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood announced the final house of the season on Wednesday, July 29th. Fans will board the “Crazy Train” to go through a rundown of Ozzy’s decades-long history in the metal world and the world of pop culture, where some of his best gigs were TV and movie appearances. This isn’t the first time the metal man will have been involved with HHN, but it’s definitely a fitting way to pay tribute after his passing. Here’s how the experiences will be different across parks, and what Ozzy’s family had to say.

“Crazy Train” Will Be Different At Orlando And Hollywood

The experiences at both the California and Florida parks are being described as “unique,” and based on what we know so far, they will for sure be very different. John Murdy, the Head Honcho who’s responsible for executive producing HHN at Universal Studios Hollywood, said parkgoers in CA will get to look at Ozzy’s early life and then dive into his solo career, including all 13 of his albums, ranging from Blizzard of Oz to Patient Number 9. This experience is being described as a “time travel” haunted house.

Meanwhile in Orlando, ticketed parkgoers will get a rundown of some of Ozzy’s most famous solo ventures: Diary of a Madman, Bark at the Moon, The Ultimate Sin and Black Rain. This venture will include a dungeon component, as well as “ancient ruins,” and will mostly focus on the latter portion of the singer’s career. For that one Orlando’s head honcho Mike Aiello (whose title is Senior Director of Creative Development) is promising Easter eggs. We love Easter eggs!

Both sound cool, but it wouldn’t be nearly as cool without a thumbs up from the Osbournes themselves.

The Osbourne Family Was On Board For "Prince Of Darkness"

There’s something fitting about a Halloween Horror Nights experience getting announced just shortly over a year after the Prince of Darkness passed. The man loved bringing in a bit of chaos, and the HHN houses are a good way to help fans celebrate his legacy. Sharon Osbourne and Jack Osbourne told Universal they agreed in the name of helping bring the Ozzy experiences to a larger number of people:

Previously, Ozzy had been involved with HHN via Black Sabbath and Bill and Ted houses, but this is the first time his solo career will get a big rundown.

Osbourne had battled rumors about his health before his passing, so the news of his death wasn’t totally unexpected, but the family has been open it did take a major toll. It’s always really tough losing a loved one, but to lose a behemoth like Osbourne is significant to a large number of people outside his immediate family. Hopefully, the HHN tribute will be a cool way to look back at the giant who helped forge heavy metal music. Also, on a selfish note, I just hope Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness is really fun.

Back in July 2025, the music world lost an icon when Ozzy Osbourne passed away at age 76. Fans were devastated, and tributes poured in from other musicians, but nobody was affected more than Ozzy’s wife Sharon and his children. Months later, they’re still feeling the grief, and his youngest, Kelly Osbourne, has strong words for the body-shamers who are "kicking" her while she’s down over the new photos she posted.

The Fashion Police veteran and her mother made an appearance at the BRIT Awards in Manchester, England, on Saturday to accept the Lifetime Achievement Award on Ozzy Osbourne’s behalf. Kelly shared photos to Instagram Stories of their coordinated black ensembles:

Sharon Osbourne looked fabulous in a floor-length suit jacket, which she wore over a polka-dotted shirt — and that bat brooch is the perfect tribute to Ozzy. Kelly Osbourne, meanwhile, was glamorous in a black velvet number, which she paired with a feather stole.

Apparently, however, the responses that Kelly got as she honored her late father revolved largely around her appearance, specifically how thin she looked, and of course she didn’t take that lying down. In another Story, Kelly Osbourne wrote:

It’s obvious how close Osbourne was to her father, and she’s made no secret about how devastating Ozzy’s death has been. So I’d have to agree that while insulting her appearance would never be OK, it’s especially cruel right now.

Kelly Osbourne has had a very public battle with maintaining a healthy weight since appearing on the MTV reality show The Osbournes as a teenager, and she’s been open about the fact that her grief over losing her father had caused dramatic weight loss. Even Sharon Osbourne said on Piers Morgan Uncensored that “Kelly can’t eat right now.”

Unfortunately, this wasn’t even the first time Kelly's had to clap back at body-shamers recently. Last week, she posted another Story that showed one hater’s comment along with the message (via Page Six):

I think it can be easy for people to forget that celebrities are real people too, and the negative comments do hurt them. It’s terrible to see that Kelly Osbourne is having to deal with body-shamers as she continues to be so affected by her father’s death. Hopefully, her words will strike a chord with fans so that they have a little more grace for her situation (or, ideally, stop commenting on people’s bodies altogether).

There have been all kinds of different eras throughout WWE’s history. The New Generation, the Attitude Era, the Ruthless Aggression phase, the PG-TV days, and others quickly come to mind. But one that is thankfully mostly forgotten these days is the WWE Raw Celebrity Host era between 2009 and 2014. Celebrity involvement in WWE has always been a thing going back to WrestleMania 1, but the company went overboard over a decade ago, and so many random names hosted or appeared on the flagship show.

Ozzy And Sharon Osbourne - November 2, 2009

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne were inescapable in the 2000s, so it was only natural for the pair to host an episode of Monday Night Raw in November 2009. Their Raw’s Got Talent segment is without a doubt one of the worst things to ever happen on Raw, which is saying something.

In recent years, Kanye West has found himself making headlines not only due to his music but because of controversial statements he’s made. He notably received significant backlash in late 2022 after making anti-Semitic statements during a podcast interview. Since then, West has seen a number of professional setbacks but has continued to work. He’s most recently marked the release of his new joint album with Ty Dolla Sign, Vultures. Amid that fanfare though, West is receiving flak from Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne for apparently sampling one of the former’s songs after being denied a formal request to do so. Now, after Ozzy slammed West, Sharon is opening up about why she and her husband rejected the offer in the first place. 

“Talking / Once Again,” one of the tracks on Vultures, seems to utilize portions of “Iron Man,” specifically a version of the song that was performed by Ozzy Osbourne’s solo band in 1983. The 75-year-old-rocker – who said that “War Pigs” was the song at the center of the dispute, aired his grievances in a post shared to X. The British rock star apparently caught wind of the sample following a listening party for the album, which was held at the United Center in Chicago this past Thursday. Osbourne didn’t hold back when sharing his thoughts: 

The Osbourne patriarch – who’s been at the center of health-related rumors over the past year – gets numerous sample requests. That point was mentioned by Sharon when she spoke with Billboard about the situation with Ye. When discussing why they opted not to collaborate with the “Jesus Walks” artist, she said that they were not keen on getting in business with the fashion mogul: 

Former The Talk co-host Sharon Osbourne, who was raised Jewish, shared even more thoughts while speaking with TMZ. As she put it, “Kanye fucked with the wrong Jew this time.” She also revealed that she and her husband have issued a cease-and-desist letter. She also told the news outlet that her family does not want to be associated with the hip hop veteran in any way.

A number of entities have cut ties with Kanye West in a little over the past year. CAA, Vogue, Balenciaga and Adidas dropped West over his sentiments. His finances have since suffered as a result, with the artist even admitting that he’d been “beat to a pulp.” The anti-Semitic statements made have been condemned by Howard Stern as well as his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. West has since claimed that he no longer holds such views, as he claimed that Jonah Hill’s 21 Jump Street helped sway him from them. 

It remains to be seen how the Osbournes’ recently ignited conflict with Ye will play out. Also, as of this writing, legal representatives for the music man have yet to respond to the couple’s comments.

Some of the best talk show hosts have been celebrities, and vice versa, throughout the history of this celebrated medium. However, that doesn’t mean just anyone can hold the desk equally. Keep that in mind as you take in this list of famous celebs who tried to make a talk show happen, but just couldn’t hold their own.

Regis Philbin - The Regis Philbin Show - 1981 - 1982

Throughout the history of Regis Philbin's best movie appearances, as well as his career as a legendary talk show host, the man made a name for himself as someone who knew how to talk to people. But even with his resume of success bookending The Regis Philbin Show's 1981-1982 run, there was still room to learn as this short-lived endeavor proved.

Alan Thicke - Thicke Of The Night - 1983 - 1984

Could Alan Thicke have made Thicke of the Night last under more ideal circumstances? Maybe, but then again, any show that tried to take on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson kind of deserved to be put through the wringer. On the plus side, Thicke wasn’t too far off from starring in Growing Pains, where he’d show us his smile again.

Joan Rivers - The Late Show - 1986 - 1988

Joan Rivers’ “permanent guest host” status on Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show was exactly why the comedy icon landed her own series, The Late Show. Directly competing with that NBC landmark in a live program for the Fox network, this albatross supposedly ended the long friendship between Rivers and Carson.

Pat Sajak - The Pat Sajak Show - 1989 - 1990

Being a game show host isn’t the same as being a talk show host. Just ask game show icon Pat Sajak, whose own attempts at crossover success with The Pat Sajak Show never landed. Low ratings took this show out of commission, with Sajak not even hosting the final episode of his own show. After which point the only gaffes Pat would witness were those made on Wheel of Fortune.

Dennis Miller - The Dennis Miller Show - 1992

Sometimes talk shows fail because of not playing to the right audience. In the case of SNL vet Dennis Miller, we would see him flourish through HBO’s Dennis Miller Live program between 1994 and 2002. However, the syndication market didn’t exactly pick up on the man’s unique vibe, which is more than likely why The Dennis Miller Show never made it out of 1992.

Chevy Chase - The Chevy Chase Show - 1993

One of the most infamous late-night flameouts of all time, The Chevy Chase Show saw the SNL comedy legend trying to compete in the late-night wars on behalf of the fledgling Fox network. Not only did Chase’s show fail, but it was the continuation of a long-standing curse that TV titan still encounters to this day.

Jon Stewart - The Jon Stewart Show - 1993 - 1995

"Cancellation should not be confused with failure." David Letterman imparted those words to Jon Stewart as The Jon Stewart Show was literally canceled the day of that very interview. An unsuccessful jump from MTV to syndication could be the major factor that was to blame, though Letterman’s words eventually rang true when Stewart went on to become The Daily Show’s longtime host in 1999. 

Charles Grodin - The Charles Grodin Show - 1995-1998

Charles Grodin’s expertise in playing a curmudgeon made him a popular guest on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. So one could think placing that energy behind the desk would be a recipe for success, and that’s what CNBC had hoped when debuting The Charles Grodin Show. Twenty-six episodes later, that assumption was tested, and proven false.

Keenen Ivory Wayans - The Keenen Ivory Wayans Show - 1997 - 1998

With the magnetism that propelled him to success in movies and with TV’s In Living Color, surely Keenen Ivory Wayans had the juice to turn late night on its head, right? Nope. Lasting only a few short months, The Keenen Ivory Wayans Show was out like a flash. Judging by Keenen’s claims that he wasn’t really given the free reign he’d expected with the series, it’s no surprise why.

Magic Johnson - The Magic Hour - 1998

Eight weeks was all it took for NBA legend Magic Johnson to flame out on the talk show circuit. The Magic Hour was anything but, with critics clearly not digging the man’s style when it came to holding court on TV. Save for an infamous episode with one of his staunchest critics, Howard Stern, there wasn’t much enchantment to be found here.

Martin Short - The Martin Short Show - 1999 - 2000

The bad news is that certified comedy legend Martin Short didn’t last very long as the host of The Martin Short Show. However, the silver lining to be had is the fact that this short engagement in the land of talk shows did give us one of his most memorable characters, as this was the launching pad for one Jiminy Glick. 

Queen Latifah - The Queen Latifah Show - 1999 - 2001/2013 - 2015

Sometimes it all comes down to timing and ratings, both of which seemed to be the death knell for The Queen Latifah Show in its two separate incarnations. The 1999-2001 run could be seen as ahead of its time, while the 2013-2015 run saw a promising start leading to declining ratings. 

Wayne Brady - The Wayne Brady Show - 2001 - 2004

It’s still hard to believe that the charming and quick-witted Wayne Brady couldn’t make it in daytime talk. Though the Let’s Make A Deal host is doing quite well for himself now, The Wayne Brady Show was a bit of a stumbling block on his career path. Luckily, right before the show went off the air, Wayne’s infamous Chappelle's Show sketch went to air, and it gave him a win that overshadowed the whole business.

Zach Galifianakis - Late World with Zach - 2002

Zach Galifianakis’ Late World with Zach on MTV is a particularly notable example of what happens when a talent like this Hangover star lands at the wrong time. All of the ingredients were there, as MTV let Zach be Zach; but people weren’t clued into the gag just yet, because many of Galifianakis' best movies weren't out yet. By the time Between Two Ferns kicked off though, the world was ready, and a confrontational legend was born.

Caroline Rhea - The Caroline Rhea Show - 2002 - 2003

When a notable talk show host leaves, there’s always the question of who carries on their legacy of schtick. As The Rosie O’Donnell Show came to a close, Caroline Rhea’s talk show, The Caroline Rhea Show, attempted to pass that torch to the Sabrina the Teenage Witch legend. The networks, and audiences, were not exactly supportive, and after 195 episodes, it was no more.

Sharon Osbourne - The Sharon Osbourne Show - 2003 - 2004

Before Sharon Osbourne's "embarrassing" departure from The Talk, she struck it out on her own to try and parlay some of her reality TV fame into a chat show. And yet, The Sharon Osbourne Show didn't last, as the show failed to land a following, leaving Sharon to let it die a quiet, un-renewed death. 

John McEnroe - McEnroe - 2004

Tennis is a grueling sport, but talk shows can be even more of a battlefield if you’re not careful. John McEnroe learned that the hard way during a handful of months in 2004, when his series McEnroe went from a critically panned debut to a critically panned finale. Even his most dedicated fans have probably overlooked it, with a mere mention of the series prompting many exclamations of, “You can’t be serious!”

Megan Mullally - The Megan Mullally Show - 2006 - 2007

Sometimes our preconceptions get the better of us, and shows like The Megan Mullally Show suffer as a result. As audiences were taken aback by Mullally failing to be her Will & Grace character in real life, there was nowhere to go but down for this daytime talk show.

George Lopez - Lopez Tonight - 2009 - 2011

If it wasn’t for Conan O’Brien, Lopez Tonight may have had a healthy run on TBS. Though it seemed his hiring could have boosted George Lopez’s show, the only shake-up it got was being moved into a later time slot, with weakened ratings. However, this all happened with O’Brien trying to avoid any sort of bad blood along the way, with the host even paying tribute to this slain series on its final night of air.

Wanda Sykes - The Wanda Sykes Show - 2009 - 2010

Following in the footsteps of Joan Rivers’ The Late Show and Chevy Chase’s The Chevy Chase Show, Fox really wanted to make late-night happen with comedian Wanda Sykes. Unfortunately for the network, The Wanda Sykes Show was such a disappointment that it hasn’t even tried to mount another original program in that later evening block since. 

Katie Couric - Katie - 2012 - 2014

A staple of NBC’s Today, seeing Katie Couric go to daytime talk felt like a lateral move. Moving to ABC to do so was certainly the most shocking turn of it all, at least until Katie was mutually canceled by its star and overseers. What started as a good run soon fell into a slump, leaving this enterprise grounded by 2014.

Bethenny Frankel - Bethenny - 2012 - 2014

How’s this for a story? The Real Housewives of New York alum Bethenny Frankel tried to kickstart her talk show Bethenny, only for it to initially get shelved. Fate seemed to smile on the entrepreneur as the show was revived for a run between 2012 and 2014. Only 170 episodes would be produced before the hammer came down, freeing Frankel up for appearances on shows like Shark Tank. 

Kris Jenner - Kris - 2013

It wasn’t cancellation that ended Kris’ brief 2013 run, as the talk show fronted by Kris Jenner was only being tested when it aired. Coincidentally the most notable episode was its finale, which saw Kanye West showing off the first photos of her granddaughter North. Ratings spiked, but it couldn’t save this ship from sinking. 

Khloé Kardashian - Kocktails With Khloé - 2016

A TV show where the host drinks with their guests? Not a bad move, especially when someone with clout like Khloé Kardashian could get the concept greenlit for cable. Unfortunately for Kocktails with Khloé, the show struck out after 14 episodes; more than likely due to the perfect storm of airing on cable and audience feedback sounding rather disappointed with the overall product.

Harry Connick Jr. - Harry - 2016 - 2018

For someone as adept at conversation and shenanigans as Harry Connick Jr., to fail in the talk show landscape always feels like a waste. Harry capitalized on the former American Idol judge’s star power and charisma, but even then audiences weren’t buying as heavily as when he was a part of Fox’s former reality show fixture.

Sarah Silverman - I Love You, America With Sarah Silverman - 2017 - 2018

There still isn’t a clear answer as to why Hulu canceled I Love You, America with Sarah Silverman. A mashup of talk show and sketch show, Silverman took on the tough issues of our modern times with her trademark sense of humor. Twenty-one episodes still don’t seem like a long enough run, but that’s sadly where things ended.

Lilly Singh - A Little Late With Lilly Singh - 2019 - 2021

With Carson Daly giving up the throne of Last Call with Carson Daly, NBC made what seemed like a smart move. By tapping famous YouTuber Lilly Singh for her show A Little Late with Lilly Singh, the network was clearly trying to get the younger generation to tune into this tested timeslot. It didn’t work, even with some changes to the format in the second season, and with this show’s demise also came that of the 1:35 A.M. slot at NBC.

Kathy Griffin - Kathy - 2012 - 2013

Giving Kathy Griffin her own talk show, after years of being banned from shows like Ellen and The View, was probably a bit of a surprise. In fact, the only thing that would have been more surprising is if Kathy had actually lasted past its short spell of 24 episodes on Bravo.

ALF - Alf’s Hit Talk Show - 2004

ALF’s Hit Talk Show tried pretty hard in its extremely brief run to make TV Land viewers stay up a bit later. Not even guests like Merv Griffin and Doris Roberts, not to mention professional sidekick/Tonight Show legend Ed McMahon could push this affair past seven episodes. 

Russell Brand - Brand X With Russell Brand - 2012 - 2013

You’d think a talk show with Russell Brand at the helm would be something so controversial you’d have at least heard of it. That appears to not be the case, as FX failed to crack the same molds it had broken with shows like The Shield with its two-season run of Brand X with Russell Brand. 

Bonnie Hunt - The Bonnie Hunt Show - 2008 - 2010

Bonnie Hunt not only had the comedic chops and kindness to host something like The Bonnie Hunt Show, but she infused it with a creative spin. Thanks to guests being able to enter the set through various methods of excitement, like a firepole, there seemed to be some magic in giving the Cheaper by the Dozen star a daytime talk slot. Two seasons, and even a couple of award nominations later, it was lights out.

Fran Drescher - The Fran Drescher Tawk Show - 2010

For six seasons and 146 episodes, Fran Drescher charmed the world as Fran Fine on CBS’ The Nanny. Sadly, that sort of effortless affability didn’t help The Fran Drescher Tawk Show make it past 16 episodes in 2010. And yes, that did include a humorous reunion with her co-star Charles Shaughnessy. 

Even with the most pleasing personality, the best time slot, and a pedigree in the business, talk shows are a concept that can still present a gamble. Many celebrities have tried, and many more probably will in the future; because when you can make it as a talk show host, you can pretty much write your own ticket from that point on.

As one of the most iconic and most notorious rock musicians in all of recorded history, Ozzy Osbourne has earned a reputation that has gone beyond the stuff of legend. His accomplishments eclipse the majority of others within the heavy metal scene, and he’s steadily produced fan-pleasing content for the better part of five decades, while influencing countless musicians along the way. His larger-than-life persona is present even when the topic stretches outside the realm of music and touches upon Osbourne’s health and wellness, and he’s spoken out about recent rumors that claim he’s all but knocking on death’s door.

For context, the Prince of Darkness dropped the surprise announcement in January that his long-anticipated comeback tour (which has been in the works since 2019), was indefinitely postponed, as Osbourne cited spinal injury issues making it impossible for him to perform on stage with ease and comfort. Though he did express the idea that he’d love to get back on stage, some took his tour stoppage to mean he’s essentially a goner. To combat those rumors, he addressed his touring decision on his Sirius XM show Ozzy’s Boneyard, giving co-host Billy Morrison a hilariously frank update with a couple of F-bombs thrown in the mix.

Billy Morrison humorously chimed in to say that Ozzy was on “the same pair of legs he’s had since I’ve known him.” Which is to say, the bat-chomping metalhead isn’t going anywhere for a while yet, even if rumors are prematurely putting him six feet under. He hasn’t even lived through Hollywood going hard on developing a Black Sabbath biopic yet.

In the most nuanced of senses, it’s perhaps understandable why fans would fall into hyperbolic doomsaying where Ozzy Osbourne’s health is concerned, since the former reality star has been at the heart of recurring medical problems and situations in recent years, while reportedly enjoying sober life starting around 2013-2014. Back in February 2019, the musician was hospitalized over complications from pneumonia, even spending some time in ICU. While still recovering from that malady, Osbourne sustained critical injuries after falling in his home, which would go on to inform his aforementioned decision to stop touring.

What’s more, Ozzy Osbourne revealed in 2020 that he’d been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease around the time of his fall and pneumonia crisis, which led to further concert delays at the time. None of it has weighed lightly on the Grammy winner, who says he would 100% get back into the touring grind to perform for eager fans if it was something that seemed at all possible physically. In his words:

Plus, even if he woke up tomorrow and suddenly felt better than he had in 20 years, Osbourne points out that it would then still take another six months for all the planning and deals to be worked out behind the scenes, so it would still be a slog of a wait for potential concert-goers.

Of course, anyone who truly thinks Ozzy Osbourne is dying was likely shocked by seeing him pop up in one of this year’s big Super Bowl commercials. He joined KISS’ Paul Stanley, Gary Clark Jr, Joan Jett and Billy Idol (whom Billy Morrison used to play guitar for) in a fun ad for Workday, which can be seen below.

Ozzy also popped up in an ad for PlayStation’s VR2 headset, which was just unveiled this week. Pretty hard to enter virtual reality if you’re dead. Or, at the very least, it’s hard to do it well. 

So for now, no one needs to worry about Ozzy Osbourne joining that big goth masquerade party in the sky. Or whatever the suitable equivalent would be for the Trolls 2 voice actor. In the meantime, he’s still putting out music and music videos, so there’s a slight chance he’ll be able to handle some live performances remotely for fans to stream. 

Sharon Osbourne experienced a scary situation near the end of 2022. The 70-year-old TV personality had a medical emergency that saw her pass out while filming a project with her son in December. As a result, she was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical care, with exact details on what caused her to fall ill being unclear at the time. The star was discharged the following day and was said to be resting at home. Months later, Osbourne seems to be doing much better and is now sharing what she can remember from the ordeal. And based on her comments, certain aspects are still fuzzy.

When the news broke, there were conflicting reports regarding what Sharon Osbourne was actually filming when she became unwell. Some sources alleged that she was shooting an installment of Ghost Adventures. However, Jack Osbourne, who provided the eventual update on her condition, specified that she was working on The Osbournes: Night of Terror with him. Sharon was asked for more information during a recent discussion, yet she couldn’t definitively say what caused her episode: 

Experiencing such an emergency is unnerving enough on its own for some, but not knowing exactly what caused it might be even more disconcerting. Though Sharon Osbourne seemed to be at ease while discussing it on The Talk U.K., which she finally rejoined this week. Osbourne was previously hospitalized for COVID in 2020 and was open about her experience with the virus. As was the case there, she’s fortunate to have come out of this more recent situation just fine, and she, her family and loved ones are probably aware of that as well. 

2022 wasn’t the easiest year for the Osbournes. When she wasn’t working, Sharon has been caring for her husband – legendary musician and media personality Ozzy Osbourne – who’s been battling Parkinson’s Disease and other ailments. Last spring, the couple also experienced a scare when they’re oldest daughter, Aimee, nearly died in a recording studio fire. Sharon reacted to the ordeal shortly thereafter, noting how “lucky” her daughter and her producer were to have made it out alive. She also sent condolences to the family of one person who died in the blaze.

The British brood does have a few reasons to be grateful as of late, though. There’s, of course, their matriarch’s recovery but also the arrival of a new addition. It was confirmed this week that Kelly Osbourne welcomed her first child with boyfriend Sid Wilson. Sharon revealed the news during the same installment of The Talk, saying that the new parents and the baby - whose name is Sidney – are doing well. 

All the while, the former judge of the U.K.’s X-Factor continues to keep busy with her professional obligations, apparently bouncing back following her dismissal from the U.S. version of The Talk in 2021. She’s since discussed the “humiliation” of being let go and shared some strong words for CBS when asked if she would ever return. 

These days though, Sharon Osbourne seems to be looking towards the future and moving forward following her health scare. One would hope that the situation was isolated and that she remains in good shape as time goes on.

Sharon Osbourne, wife of the “Prince of Darkness” Ozzy Osbourne and former co-host of The Talk, suffered an unknown medical emergency on December 16, being rushed by ambulance to a hospital in Santa Paula, California. While the nature of what happened is still unknown, her son Jack Osbourne — who was with her at the time of the incident — has provided an update on her condition, as she has now been released from the hospital.

Jack Osbourne posted a message on his Instagram Stories to clarify some information regarding the circumstances surrounding his 70-year-old mother’s medical emergency and give an update on Sharon Osbourne’s condition. He wrote:

It’s great to hear that Sharon Osbourne is now back home from the hospital after being cleared by the medical professionals. Jack Osbourne chose to respect his mother’s privacy as to what exactly happened to cause the stay at the hospital, but the important thing is that she appears to be OK. Perhaps she’ll address her concerned fans in the near future, but as of this writing, she had not addressed it on her Instagram, nor had daughter Kelly Osbourne acknowledged the recent events.

The incident apparently happened while Sharon Osbourne was with her son filming an episode for his show Night of Terror — not Ghost Adventures, as it was apparently reported by some. The Night of Terror crew was at the Glen Tavern Inn on December 16, when the Ventura County Fire Department responded to a medical call at the tavern. The tavern owners confirmed to People that the incident occurred while Sharon was making a guest appearance on Jack Osbourne’s show.

The Talk UK host shared on social media back in May that she was battling a second round of COVID, after being hospitalized briefly with the virus in 2020. This year Sharon Osbourne has spoken about the “humiliation” she suffered in being fired from the CBS daytime talk show The Talk after 11 years amid allegations that she made racist and homophobic comments to her co-hosts. 

It’s been nearly two years since the incident, but time doesn’t heal some wounds that quickly, and there seemed little hope for reconciliation between Sharon Osbourne and CBS. When she was asked earlier in 2022 if she’d ever consider a return to the show, she said she would never go back, because “CBS sucks big time dick.”

Her American fans may not be able to catch her daily in the world of daytime TV anymore, but it’s still good to hear that she has made it home from the hospital after what was surely a scary incident for all involved. Sharon Osbourne, wife to heavy metal rocker and fellow TV personality Ozzy Osbourne, is grappling with a terrifying recent situation involving one of their kids. The ordeal saw her oldest daughter, Aimee, nearly die in a recording fire just this past week. And the former host on CBS’ The Talk has opened up about her feelings on the matter.

Per a report from the Los Angeles Fire Department, the fire erupted at an industrial building on West Lexington Avenue on May 19. Tragically, one person was found dead at the scene by responders. In a post on her Instagram, Sharon Osbourne confirmed that her daughter was present at the time this all happened and explained how she, thankfully, made it out safely. However, Osbourne continued by expressing condolences for the person who did die, saying,

According to the official report, it took 78 firefighters nearly an hour to put out the flames. They explained that a “portion” of the two-story structure needed to be extinguished. Furthermore, two individuals evidently had respiratory issues related to the smoke exposure but did not end up going to a hospital. Aimee Osbourne was pictured just outside of the deadly scene with her producer, Jamal Rajad Davis, per NBC News.

The fire is currently under investigation for its underlying cause. However, Sharon Osbourne seemed to insinuate in her social media post that the building where her daughter’s recording studio was housed had lacked proper fire safety protocols or possibly failed to adhere to them, which might’ve caused the fire to break out how it did. In fact, the former Masked Singer judge called it a “senseless fire,” adding:

This actually isn't the first time a member of the Osbourne family has experienced a major fire. In 2013, their home sadly caught fire due to a candle, as revealed by the brood's matriarch shortly after the incident.

Aimee Osbourne has largely avoided the spotlight cast on her famous family. (Ozzy obviously was the lead singer of Black Sabbath, Sharon headlined The Talk for many years prior to her ouster, and Kelly made a name for herself on E’s Fashion Police and subsequent reality show stints.) Instead, the 38-year-old has opted to pursue music on her own terms since 2015, including forming the synth pop band ARO. Supposedly, she was in the recording studio the day of the fire in order to work on the group’s next album with her fellow collaborator.

In her own Instagram post, the oldest Osbourne sibling identified the man who died as L.A. producer Nathan Avery. She added that she was in “utter shock” from what happened and thanked those who she felt saved her and friend’s lives from the fire. See the full post here:

It’s been a little over a year since Sharon Osbourne was fired from CBS’ daytime talk show The Talk, and now she’s back to asserting herself on TV, having landed at the UK’s newly launched channel TalkTV for a show that’s also called The Talk. (Not to mention joining The View UK.)  Even though the TV personality seems to have landed on her feet, she’s still deeply affected by the allegations of racism and homophobia that led to her exit after 10 years of serving as a co-host. She’s been vocal over the past year about how the situation affected her and her family, all while continuing to vehemently deny the accusations, and ahead of her return to hosting, she opened up again on the “humiliation” she felt.

Sharon Osbourne spoke with fellow controversy courter Piers Morgan on his new TalkTV series about the events of the past year. It was actually Osbourne’s defense of comments made by Morgan, er longtime friend, that sparked her troubles on The Talk. Ozzy Osbourne’s wife maintained that she was defending Morgan’s right to give his opinion as part of his job, but the implication that race played into it is what embarrassed her the most:

Sharon Osbourne has spoken out about cancel culture over the past year and apparently told CBS they had “destroyed” her, since racism accusations don’t tend to go away naturally. Kelly Osbourne also spoke out in defense of her mother at the time, calling alternately for “counsel culture.” The former The Talk co-host pointed out that wouldn't be so much of a problem for her famous family if she was unable to find work after being quasi-blacklisted, because she comes from a position of privilege. However, she warned that cancel culture has worse effects on people less fortunate than herself, and who don't have others around for support. In her words:

Sharon Osbourne also talked about the death threats her family received — including their dog — from people on social media. She said she was in a pretty dark place for a while, because it felt like she’d worked so hard to achieve her success, and she was afraid these accusations would become her legacy:

Back in March 2021 Sharon Osbourne tweeted to Piers Morgan, “I am with you. I stand by you,” after he made comments about not believing Meghan Markle’s claims about the royal family in her and Prince Harry’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. This led to a heated, headline-making confrontation with co-host Sheryl Underwood, causing CBS to conduct an investigation that ultimately uncovered other incidents of problematic behavior, which led to Osbourne exiting the show. Morgan also left Good Morning Britain amid backlash for his comments at that time.

Sharon Osbourne announced April 28 on The View UK (per Deadline) that she is going to take some time off of the show to care for her husband, who has COVID. Sharon said she’s “very worried” about Ozzy but hoped to have him back on his feet in a week or so.

After 10 years as a co-host on CBS' The Talk, Sharon Osbourne exited the chat show in 2021 on the heels of controversy, which started when the panel began discussing Piers Morgan, a close friend of Osbourne’s, and his infamous Good Morning Britain walkout over Meghan Markle at the time. Things got notably heated on-air when Sheryl Underwood accused Osbourne of giving a pass for racist behavior. In the wake of the tense situation, further accusations surfaced claiming she used racist and homophobic language about former Talk co-hosts. The dust has mostly settled there, but when the 69-year-old was asked if she’d ever return to the daytime talk show, and per usual, she delivered some strong words for CBS on that score.

It wasn’t ever likely that Sharon Osbourne and CBS would reach a future reconciliation to make a potential return to The Talk feasible, given the scandalous nature of her ousting. But just in case anyone at the network had plans about sending her a request through the grapevine, they'd be better off saving themselves the trouble, because the answer is already a hard no. Osbourne told TMZ recently:

Probably not a whole lot of people out there with extremely shocked faces, all things considered. And perhaps somewhere down the line, that opinion will shrink and the prospect could reach somewhere resembling possible, but that time is definitely not now. 

Sharon Osbourne said as much (and a bit more) in the wake of her firing. Speaking to Bill Maher in April, she refuted claims that she was racist and blamed the whole ordeal on “woke” culture. A few months later, she accused the showrunners and CBS head of daytime of being “hypocrites” and “liars.” The wife of Ozzy Osbourne also alleged that the network essentially “destroyed” her by allowing the contentious conversation to turn the way it did. Their daughter, Kelly Osbourne, later backed up her mom in the press, saying “fuck cancel culture,” among other things.

Quite a few issues have cropped up on daytime talk shows over politically charged topics, even just in the time since Sharon Osbourne’s exit. Arguably the most reported on has been the on-air drama between Meghan McCain and Joy Behar and other co-hosts on ABC’s The View, with McCain making her own exit not long after. She candidly reflected that being the sole conservative viewpoint was “isolating” within an already “toxic work environemnt.” 

More recently on that same show, McCain's former colleague Whoopi Goldberg was put on a two-week suspension for controversial Holocaust remarks made on-air. McCain weighed in on that issue, too, saying that there is a double standard when it comes to more liberal views versus conservative ones on daytime TV. She might not use the same language as Osbourne, but it's fair to think she feels the same about a future return to The View. 

On the flip side, talk show host Wendy Williams would probably love to return to her main gig. She, too, has faced some backlash for controversial on-air opinions in recent years, but has sparked more unfortunate headlines recently, due to ongoing health issues that have kept her from hosting her namesake show, which has been using temporary hosts to fill in during her absence. After weeks of concerning reports about her health and financial situation, the decision was made to cancel her show, with her time slot being permanently filled by Sherri Shepherd and her own new talk show. 

Likewise, the gap on The Talk left by Sharon Osbourne was soon filled by Jerry O’Connell last year. Other newbies were brought into the fold for Season 12, including Natalie Morales and Akbar Gbaja-Biamila, with Amanda Kloots and Sheryl Underwood returning once again. Clearly, though, the bad blood with Osbourne has not been eradicated.

Sharon Osbourne’s exit from The Talk was pretty tense, to say the least. In March, she and co-host Sheryl Underwood argued live on-air about Piers Morgan’s Good Morning Britain walkout over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's interview with Oprah Winfrey. Underwood was visibly getting emotional after Osbourne pushed back against accusations of racism. But things only worsened in the days afterward because Osbourne was later accused of using racist and homophobic language about former hosts in the past. Following a brief hiatus and an internal review, she was not brought back to the CBS show. However, Osbourne now has some choice words about the showrunners supposedly behind her ouster.

The former Talk co-host has been blunt in the past about her feelings on her exit, and she's still not mincing words here. While on The Megyn Kelly Show, she was asked about the motivation behind CBS parting ways with her out after 11 years in the role. Sharon Osbourne frankly named showrunners Heather Gray and Kristin Matthews, as well as Amy Reisenbach, head of CBS Daytime, for seemingly having a vendetta against her. She said:                                      

CBS as a whole was also heavily criticized by the former talk show host. She called it a “failing” network full of “hypocrites” and “liars.” She also indicated that her firing from the show was because the CBS showrunners and others were “desperate to keep their jobs” and wanted to be “perceived as more than woke.”

In addition, Sharon Osbourne suggested that Sheryl Underwood had some part in getting her out, even though Underwood said on The Talk later that she was open to being friends still with Osbourne. The ex-host was seemingly confused as to why Underwood refused to talk or look at her while they were on a commercial break, following their initial argument. Osbourne criticized Underwood for not being a “good co-host or friend” and insinuated that she was going outside her wheelhouse by thinking she was a journalist like Gayle King. She continued:

Kelly Osbourne had also slammed woke culture in the wake of her mother's exit from The Talk. She said it should be more of a “counsel culture,” where people can be gently nudged into understanding sensitive issues rather than facing “a public execution.”

Despite these criticisms from the Osbournes, CBS has pushed on in adhering to its pledge last year to be a more equitable and diverse network. They have, for example, added more Black contestants to its reality shows Big Brother and Survivor. Big Brother 23 in fact was able to crown his first Black winner in its history last month, while Survivor’s host/executive producer, Jeff Probst, is making it a point in the new season to draw attention to their cultural blindspots.

It's more than apparent that Sharon Osbourne is still not happy with her departure or the CBS higher ups. Meanwhile, The Talk has since moved on with its replacement for her, Jerry O’Connell, who hopes to “enhance” the overall tone of the show.

While viewers tune in for the daily drama of soap operas, daytime talk shows have been a greater source of drama as of late. Sharon Osbourne's exit from The Talk over allegations of racism sent shockwaves through the media. But the daytime talk show moved on from the situation by searching for a replacement, with surprising results. The show decided to add its first male co-host in the form of TV and film actor Jerry O’Connell. Now, O’Connell is finally speaking up about his new hosting gig and how he hopes to "enhance" the show.

As one of the few male hosts in daytime talk right now, Jerry O’Connell will offer a different perspective on The Talk, and he seems pretty excited about joining the lively panel. While speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the newly minted Talk co-host said about joining the daytime show:

Whenever Jerry O’Connell shows up on television, viewers know they are in for a fun time. So O’Connell joining The Talk represents a nice change-up after the multiple departures in recent years, including Osbourne, entertainer Eve and executive producer Sara Gilbert. And of course, there are the questions surrounding co-host Carrie Ann Inaba’s return to the chatfest. Some may question if O'Connell is capable of tackling serious issues and not just fluff, but his talk show history says he is more than ready.

Jerry O’Connell previously served as guest host on The Wendy Williams Show for a few episodes when Wendy Williams was dealing with health issues. That stint led him to front his short-lived talk show, Jerry O. Plus, O’Connell had even guest-hosted on The Talk numerous times before his current position. While the actor’s permanent position was announced this past week, O’Connell won’t officially become a regular co-host until Season 12 starts in September.

Now, her daughter Kelly Osbourne is speaking out on cancel culture just a short time after her own mother was caught in the crosshairs.

Although Kelly Osbourne didn’t directly speak out about her mother’s departure from The Talk, the TV personality did speak out about a particular topic. In a recent interview, Osbourne shared her thoughts about “cancel culture,” in which people are abruptly thrown out of social or professional circles, mainly online. Osbourne says she is not into cancel culture and would rather use a different form of culture to set things in the right direction, telling Extra:

Kelly Osbourne herself has dealt with her fair share of controversies, from getting kicked out of a movie theater for swearing to having her own controversy over a comment about the Latino community. Kelly Osbourne’s comments this week stand out as they came after her famous mother has been making headlines. On her own, she's been making recent headlines related to her weight loss and sobriety, so it's not all drama for the Osbourne family these days.

Sharon Osbourne’s exit as a co-host on The Talk came about after an intense exchange between herself and Sheryl Underwood last month. They were discussing Piers Morgan’s own sudden exit from Good Morning Britain over Meghan Markle and her Oprah interview, when it suddenly went things became heated. Osbourne defended her fellow Brit, prompting a backlash and deeper allegations that labelled her as “racist” and “tone deaf,” among other things. Now, Osbourne is opening up about her side of the story.

Shows like The Talk and The View are widely known for digging deeper into conversations happening about pop culture, from different points of view. Co-hosts have exited before but never in quite this same fashion as Sharon Osbourne. When asked how she feels now about what happened, Osbourne said on Real Time with Bill Maher:

For context, in their initial discussion on The Talk, Sheryl Underwood asked Sharon Osbourne about the appearance that she “gave validation or safe haven” for Piers Morgan’s “racist” behavior. Osbourne pushed back against Underwood and questioned how Morgan or herself were being racist in the situation. Underwood was near tears and Osbourne was visibly upset. Only two weeks later, CBS announced Osbourne’s exit, saying she “did not align with our values for a respectful workplace.”

The Piers Morgan discussion on The Talk was clearly not intended to get so intense but coming off the heels of one of the biggest interviews of this decade seemed to help set the tone. In Sharon Osbourne’s opinion, the backlash she got was more so the result of “woke” culture. She said:

The drama had indeed escalated to something a bit deeper than a difference of opinion when accusations surfaced about Sharon Osbourne's own behavior. She was accused of using racist language like “slanty eyes” about former Talk co-host Julie Chen and homophobic terms about Sara Gilbert. The Talk alum Holly Robinson Peete also claimed that Osbourne considered her “too ghetto” for the show.

But following a lengthy hiatus, The Talk returned. Sheryl Underwood said she felt “trapped” by the conversation and wanted to avoid being cast as the “angry black woman.” But also, she cleared up that text message snafu and claimed to be open to one day receiving Osbourne again as a friend.

From network television to everyday life, these conversations about race are springing up consistently. As of right now, CBS has not announced any immediate plans to replace Sharon Osbourne on The Talk.

The first of these texts, marked Friday, March 12th, is a lengthy message in which Osbourne apologizes for things that happened both on and off air. She also says she wouldn’t want to “lose” Underwood as a friend over the situation:

A second text from the screenshots shows Sharon Osbourne trying to reach out to Sheryl Underwood again on Monday, March 15th. In the second, she says she understands that she’s “taking space” and that she doesn’t want to disrespect that. Though she also asks if they can touch base before that Wednesday. And in the third and final text marked Thursday March 18th, Osbourne says that she’s thinking about Underwood and wishes her well before sending love to her.

In addition to the screenshots, Sharon Osbourne also released a statement to DailyMail.com. With this, she questions why Sheryl Underwood would claim that she never apologized:

Shortly after the incident on the show, Sharon Osbourne took to social media to apologize for her actions. Since then, the TV personality has remained relatively quiet on the situation, though sources allege that she is “bitterly disappointed” with how things played out. The same source also alleges that Osbourne’s family believes she’s been “hung out to dry for something she hasn’t done or believed in.”

Before her exit from The Talk, Sharon Osbourne was the last remaining co-host from the talk show’s inaugural season. Despite some occasional flare-ups, Osbourne and her co-hosts seemed to have a chemistry that extended off the set. There were many times when the women would speak on their after-work outings and their off-screen friendship. Oftentimes, the stories would center around Osbourne’s silly moments or misunderstandings. But ultimately, Osbourne appeared to be the mother hen of the group. With this, the tense disagreement between Osbourne and co-host Sheryl Underwood likely came as a surprise to viewers.

It's currently unclear as to what lies ahead for Sharon Osbourne following her departure from The Talk. And at the time of this writing, the CBS show has also not given any indication as to who will take over for Osbourne.

The talk about The Talk in recent weeks has been all about longtime co-host Sharon Osbourne, whose controversial defense of Piers Morgan led to allegations of racism at the series, which went on a break so that CBS could conduct an internal investigation. Now, Osbourne is officially out from The Talk, making her the last of the original hosts to exit the series and undoubtedly the most controversial despite the circumstances of Julie Chen's departure.

The beginning of the end of her time on The Talk began on March 10, when Sharon Osbourne's defense of Piers Morgan and comments that he made about Meghan Markle resulted in her telling fellow host Sheryl Underwood, a Black woman who has worked with Osbourne for more than a decade, to educate her about racism. The Talk went into an unplanned hiatus, but the storm continued as original series co-hosts Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete came forward with allegations of racist behavior from Osbourne, along with alleged homophobic comments about creator and former co-host Sara Gilbert.

An internal investigation went underway, and now THR confirms that Osbourne is out after 11 years on The Talk. Sharon Osbourne has not yet commented on her exit from The Talk at the time of writing, but CBS explained the situation in a statement, saying:

The CBS statement indicates that Sharon Osbourne herself made the decision to leave rather than CBS or anybody at The Talk firing her, but that doesn't mean there was much choice in the matter given the reveal that her behavior didn't "align" with the network's "values for a respectful workplace." According to the statement, the internal investigation showed that Osbourne made the comments that kicked off the controversy without being set up by any executives, nor was Sheryl Underwood's reaction, which does pretty firmly place the blame on Osbourne.

That said, CBS also committed to enhancing "the producing staff and producing procedures" in ways that will serve the hosts better, as well as the production team and viewers watching from home. At this point, the network admits that there were some failings that went beyond Sharon Osbourne in the situation on March 10, but Osbourne is the only one confirmed to be leaving the show, which may indicate that her departure is due to behavior behind-the-scenes and beyond that episode contributed to the decision.

The Talk is expected to return to CBS without Sharon Osbourne on Monday, April 12. It's not clear at this point how or when The Talk intends to replace Osbourne with a new co-host, and it's entirely possible that The Talk will simply proceed with her slot empty until the right replacement is found.

The show has cycled through many hosts over its eleven seasons so far, with the most memorable departure prior to Osbourne being Julie Chen, who stepped away after allegations of misconduct were leveled against her husband, then-CBS CEO Les Moonves. More recently, The Talk added Amanda Kloots (who shared her husband's struggle and ultimate loss to COVID on social media) and Elaine Welteroth.

The Talk is making headlines again for controversial reasons, with the buzz this time centered on co-host Sharon Osbourne and comments that she allegedly made about former co-hosts Julie Chen and Sara Gilbert. Osbourne is currently the last original Talk host standing after Chen departed in 2018 and Gilbert tearfully departed in 2019, and fellow former co-host Leah Remini has spoken up to claim that Osbourne made racist and homophobic comments about Chen and Gilbert.

Leah Remini, known for speaking out on controversial topics by this point in her career, is reportedly one of multiple sources to tell Yashar Ali for his newsletter that Sharon Osbourne referred to Julie Chen, who is Chinese American, as "wonton" and "slanty eyes" and executive producer Sara Gilbert, who is a lesbian, as "pussy licker" and "fish eater." Remini also claims that Osbourne referred to Chen as "pillow-talking with our boss," in reference to then-CBS head and Chen's husband Les Moonves.

Julie Chen appeared on The Talk with Sharon Osbourne for the first eight seasons of the series, while Sara Gilbert stuck around the series through the end of Season 9. Leah Remini was a Talk co-host for one season, with Remini, Holly Robinson Peete, and Marissa Jaret Winokur all leaving the series before Season 2. Sources claim that Osbourne has a history of bullying including racist language.

Although Sharon Osbourne has been on the airwaves as a Talk co-host for more than a decade at this point, she became the subject of scrutiny recently when she rose to the defense of friend Piers Morgan, who left Good Morning Britain in the wake of comments made about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. This led to a heated debate between Osbourne and current co-host Sheryl Underwood, in which she told Underwood not to cry.

Shortly thereafter, Holly Robinson Peete took to Twitter to make an accusation of her own about Sharon Osbourne, posting:

Holly Robinson Peete followed up on Twitter by making it clear that she loved being on The Talk, but "sometimes awesome gifts come in humiliating packages." She also made it clear that she misses working with Leah Remini. As for Remini, she also alleges that Sharon Osbourn used Italian slurs to refer to her, including "wap" and "Guinea." A clip has resurfaced online of Osbourne saying that Remini's style of speech is "ghetto."

In response to the new allegations from Leah Remini and sources, Sharon Osbourne's publicist Howard Bragman released a statement, saying:

At the time of writing, neither Julie Chen nor Sara Gilbert has reacted to Leah Remini's claims or the current controversy surrounding Sharon Osbourne on social media. The Talk is currently on a brief hiatus so that an internal review of the episode that featured the argument Osbourne and Holly Robinson Peete can be conducted. For now, only time will tell whether Osbourne still has a future at The Talk or if The Talk will be looking for another new co-host in the not-too-distant future.

As we reach the end of 2020, many around the world are still facing the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes a number of celebrities who have battled the virus over the past several months. Just recently, it was reported that veteran The Talk host Sharon Osbourne contracted COVID and was hospitalized as a result. Now, she’s provided the public with an update on her condition.

Sharon Osbourne, who has served as a host on The Talk since it premiered in 2010, confirmed on Twitter that she had contracted COVID and is currently recuperating after being in the hospital. The 68-year-old host is also recovering away from her famous husband, Ozzy Osbourne:

Ozzy Osbourne, who is 72, has faced a number of health problems over the past few years. With this, it appears that Sharon Osbourne is doing her due diligence to keep her husband safe.

Unfortunately, Osbourne isn’t the only The Talk star who has recently had an experience with COVID-19. Her co-host, Carrie Ann Inaba, revealed just this past week that she had been diagnosed. In a social media post, she explained the symptoms she was experiencing and advised her fans to remain safe.

Many celebrities have been relatively candid about their struggles with COVID-19. The Good Doctor’s Richard Schiff and his his wife and co-star Sheila Kelley were both diagnosed not too long ago. Since Schiff first confirmed the news, he has provided fans with updates on both his and Kelley’s conditions and has advised his followers to practice caution during these times. Ellen DeGeneres also revealed that she had tested positive but assured her fans that she was feeling fine.

COVID-19 has also had a major effect on TV productions, including Sharon Osbourne’s The Talk. At the onset of the pandemic, the show transformed into The Talk: @Home, during which the co-hosts used Zoom to broadcast from their individual homes. And even when the show returned to the studio in the fall, their studio set was reconfigured. In addition, host Eve (who lives in the UK and will be leaving the show at the end of the year) was forced to continue her duties remotely due to a travel order instituted across the pond.

It’s honestly hard to say just how much longer COVID-19 will be a part of our lives, though the public seems to be taking steps towards recovery with the arrival and early distribution of vaccines. We can only hope that things revert back to normal in the near future but, in the meantime, we wish Sharon Osbourne and anyone else battling the virus a safe and speedy recovery.

The Masked Singer is gearing up for next week’s Battle of the Sixes showdown, and that means that another contestant had to go this week. Over the course of the reality show’s latest episode, called “The Mother of All Final Face Offs, Part 2,” a quartet of the costumed singers give it their all. The Banana split popular opinion with his rendition of Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” which ultimately led to his unmasking, but there was one particular performance where The Masked Singer’s Banana had to go into pure “survival mode” for.

The Banana was revealed to be Poison frontman and former reality star Bret Michaels, who reflected on one of his recent Masked Singer performances that didn't go so smoothly. Of course, I'm referring to Michaels' “Achy Breaky Heart” performance, for which he wound up messing up the lyrics for a bit before eventually getting back on track. The flub was later revealed to have been caused by underlying health issues, and speaking with TVLine, Michaels reveals that forgetting lyrics like that has happened to him before. Here's what he says was going through his mind during his slip-up:

Bret Michaels’ legs did take on a life of their own whenever he sang along with “Achy Breaky Heart,” and the performance looks all the more wild now knowing who was inside the costume. At least the crowd-pleasing Michaels seems like he had a great experience in his time on the show, and it’s a shame he isn’t going to the next round.

Guest judge Sharon Osbourne knew immediately that it was her friend Bret Michaels behind the Banana mask, and she remained positive throughout the episode. Part of it was due to her also knowing the Poison singer for over three decades, and picking up on his dance moves, but it’s still rather impressive how right she turned out to be. In general, fans loved having Osbourne on the show, with some wanting her back as a full-time judge. There’s no telling if that will become a reality for Season 4, but stay tuned.

The Masked Singer continued its trend of guest judges by bringing in Sharon Osbourne to lend her expertise. As the mother of last season's Ladybug, Osbourne brought a unique perspective to the judges' table, and she immediately figured out the man behind the banana mask. She was positive right off the bat that Banana was none other than Poison's Bret Michaels, and the episode unmasking -- or unpeeling? -- proved that she got it right.

In fact, Sharon Osbourne was so confident that the Banana was her longtime friend Bret Michaels that she seemingly swayed most of the other judges to believing he was the man under the peel, although Ken Jeong held out with his unlikely guess of Brad Paisley.

When the Banana, who was voted out despite a touching rendition of "Knockin' On Heaven's Door," removed his mask and revealed his identity, Sharon Osbourne was thrilled but unsurprised. She identified him due to his voice, his dance moves, and their 30+ years of knowing each other. Osbourne proved to be a great fit for The Masked Singer, but should she join the show on a permanent basis?

Some fans certainly think so, and they hit social media to share their feelings.

While viewers watching from home landed on Bret Williams as the probable man doubling as a singing banana pretty quickly, the judges weren't quite as quick on the uptake... until Sharon Osbourne.

That said, the judges don't get to draw on the communal wisdom of Twitter for inspiration, but Sharon Osbourne's quick guess earned her some supporters.

Breaking out a Bret Michaels gif was really an ideal way to express both frustration that the judges weren't all aboard the Bret Michaels train from the beginning and giving Sharon Osbourne props for her quick guess.

Sharon Osbourne also contributed to the banter of the judges' table, which could make her a fit for the show on more of an ongoing basis.

Well, Sharon Osbourne apparently has that person's vote for the next season of Masked Singer! Of course, voting from home hasn't been a factor on The Masked Singer throughout the first three seasons, so fans probably don't have a huge say in who sits at the judges' table.

Still, there are already some people theorizing that Sharon Osbourne is destined for a seat at the table:

The consensus seems to be that Sharon Osbourne nailed her episode of The Masked Singer, which was probably especially welcome to all those fans who were pissed off by last week's sing-along. If she was able to work so well as a judge this time, why wouldn't she be a good fit for a judge position full-time?

It's worth considering that Sharon Osbourne had a bit of an unfair advantage with this episode of The Masked Singer. She has known Bret Michaels for decades and showed no uncertainty that it could be anybody else beneath the Banana mask. If the Banana had been somebody she knew less well or didn't know at all, would Sharon Osbourne have been any more accurate than Ken Jeong?

Of course, Ken Jeong is hilarious on The Masked Singer, so double the humor wouldn't be a bad thing, even if that could mean double the guesses that aren't always on the money. There's also the point that judges' votes on The Masked Singer aren't game-changers the way that judges' votes are on America's Got Talent, so it's not really necessary for The Masked Singer to keep an even number of judges, and there is already space for that fifth chair.

Sara Gilbert finally bid farewell to The Talk, but not without some tearful farewells. The show’s creator and original co-host announced that she would be leaving back in April. Goodbyes are never easy, and Gilbert took a special moment to say an emotional one to Sharon Osbourne. Check out Gilbert’s farewell below:

Not goodbye, but see you later. That seems to be one of the significant takeaways from Sara Gilbert’s goodbye to The Talk. Created by Gilbert, the chatfest premiered nearly a decade ago in October 2010. Next year, the show will celebrate its 10th anniversary. Hopefully Gilbert will make her way back for that.

Sharon Osbourne and Sara Gilbert had been on The Talk together since day one. In the video, Gilbert talks about trying to find the words to exit the show. Gilbert announced she would tell a story. Spoken from the heart, she recounted an anecdote from very early in The Talk involving Osbourne.

From the sound of things, Gilbert and Osbourne have gone on to share many highs and lows together. Even though their time co-hosting the show is over, Gilbert vowed this is “not a goodbye,” saying they would remain in each other’s lives.

Sharon Osbourne was clearly moved. Her face was also wet from tears during Sara Gilbert’s emotional goodbye to her good friend and fellow co-host. Gilbert’s exit marks a huge turning point for The Talk.

Sharon Osbourne will be the only Season 1 host left. Osbourne, Sara Gilbert, and Julie Chen were the sole original hosts to continue past The Talk’s first season. Chen announced her exit from the show in the fall of 2018, leaving the show in Season 8. She had an emotional farewell on her last day.

At the time she announced her exit, Sara Gilbert explained why she had made the decision to leave. While speaking highly of the show’s hosts and staff, Gilbert talked about not being able to spend as much time with her three kids. Or find time for herself following a busy career schedule, as well as wanting to focus on her thriving career.

The Talk has already found Sara Gilbert’s replacement. Marie Osmond will take Gilbert’s place at the roundtable. She will make her full-time debut when Season 10 premieres this fall. As for Gilbert, television will remain a friendly place for the familiar face.

The Conners will be back this fall for a second season on ABC. It got renewed the month before Sara Gilbert announced her departure from The Talk. Following her decision to leave the CBS talk show, word came that Gilbert would be heading to a popular Netflix show. So, she will remain a steady presence on television screens.

Saying that it was "not a very fun time at all for anyone," as you can likely imagine, and "probably the least amount of fun for Mom," Kelly Osbourne talked about how her mother was starting to give up on her chemo treatments when her hair was beginning to fall out. It was a horrible time for the family, and the Osbournes were concerned with how to get their mother to continue fighting.

Running low on options and concerned for Sharon Osbourne's well-being, Ozzy Osbourne knew who could cheer up his ailing wife: Robin Williams.

The famous family had no shortage of nice things to say about the Oscar-winning actor, considering him "one of the nicest genuine people that you could ever meet." It's a testament to Robin Williams's character that, despite his enormous fame, he would come over and help a sick woman in need.

Robin Williams is remembered as a giving, loving spirit, and he is missed by fans everywhere. The actor/comedian tragically took his own life in 2014. He was last seen in 2014's Night of the Museum: Secret of the Tomb and Williams was last heard in 2015's Absolutely Anything as Dennis the Dog.

The Osbourne Podcast was released on the 16th anniversary of The Osbournes, their super popular MTV reality TV show which ran until March 2005. The new podcast is considered a continuation-of-sorts of their original hit series. There will be new episodes made available on Mondays every week.

The young actress seemed to have no problem coming out to the public yesterday after a curious fan sparked the conversation by asking her if she's bisexual in a tweet. She has received nothing but love and acceptance since coming out.

Thorne's recent confession has sparked an overwhelming amount of support from her fans and the media to which she expressed her gratitude for in a tweet saying:

Fans have been speculating for weeks that Thorne has been dating long-time friend and her older brother's ex-girlfriend Bella Pendergast, as the two have appeared cozier than usual on the actress' social media pages. The rumors began after Thorne split from Faking It star Gregg Sulkin earlier this month and Thorne began sharing photos of her and Pendergast kissing and holding hands.

While the two haven't officially come out as a couple, Thorne's Twitter confession has led many fans to believe that the rumors are true. Thorne isn't the only woman in Hollywood who has recently come out a bisexual, as hiding ones sexual preference from the public is quickly becoming a trend of the past.

Just in the past few months, Twilight actress Kristen Stewart has gone public with on-again off-again girlfriend Alicia Cargile. Stewart came out as bisexual over a year ago, but with how secretive she had been regarding her relationship with Robert Pattinson, it came as a surprise to fans that she has been so open about her current girlfriend. While it's unknown how the two met, Cargile has been working in the TV and film industries for years, first as a personal assistant and currently as a visual effects producer.

The Osbournes, the MTV reality series that followed the lives of Ozzy Osbourne, Sharon Osbourne, Kelly Osbourne and Jack Osbourne, is making a comeback. This morning, The Talk host Sharon Osbourne announced that the famous family will be returning to MTV for a limited series that will update us on where each member of the famous family is now.

On yesterday’s episode of The Talk, Sharon Osbourne revealed what we can expect from the new edition of the series, which will catch us up on Ozzy’s upcoming tour with Black Sabbath and will reveal how the new family dynamics work, now that Jack has a wife and child. Here’s what she had to say about The Osbournes.

You would have to think an updated version of the reality series that originally ran from 2002 to 2005 would have to be Sharon’s idea, as she is the family member who is most in the public eye and does good things for the Osbournes’ PR. However, Sharon credits her famous husband, Ozzy, with the idea.

Of all of the reality fodder out there right now, The Osbournes actually stands a chance at finding an audience. Now that reality lurks around every corner, we forget how monumental The Osbournes actually was, taking us into the homes and the lives of the Osbourne parents and their then-teenaged children. Love them or hate them, Ozzy, Sharon, Jack and Kelly continued to find fame after the widely-watched reality series. Ozzy’s making new music. Sharon’s on The Talk and judged America’s Got Talent for a long time. Jack recently did well on Dancing with the Stars and Kelly is part of the Fashion Police team. An update could do quite well, provided it doesn’t get the flack Fox’s brief 2009 series following the family did.

MTV hasn’t officially announced when The Osbournes will return to the schedule, but it sounds like we will be updated sooner rather than later. Still, I’m not sure how the network plans to fill 6 or more episodes, considering the Osbourne family’s current successes. (Seriously, can you imagine Sharon pissing in a fifth of alcohol these days?) One warm and fuzzy update episode might just be enough. Regardless of my personal opinions, The Osbournes’ return seems imminent. We’ll let you know as soon as we have more news.

Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne have had some problems over the years, mostly thanks to his drug-related struggles, but in general, an overwhelming majority of people would agree they’re strangely perfect together. From their shared eccentricities to the children they’ve raised, their relationship just works, which is why it’s so bizarre to think about her dating anyone else, especially when that person is about as much of a departure from Ozzy as possible.

Speaking yesterday on her hit show The Talk, Sharon admitted that as a twenty-five-year-old girl in Los Angeles, she went on some dates with future Tonight Show host Jay Leno. It all went down back in 1978. Osbourne was out at a club with a friend when she noticed Leno across the room. She thought he was pretty cute, and her friend apparently already knew him pretty well. So, the two decided to impulsively prank call him that night. Humorously, Sharon and Jay actually got to talking, and intrigued by her accent, he decided to organize a date. A few hangout sessions and a brief fling later, the romance ended after he met his future wife. Not long after, she started dating Ozzy, and the two went their separate ways.

There’s something about Hollywood that can bring the strangest people together for brief encounters—like Larry King and Katie Couric. It’s impossible to know whether Sharon and Jay could have worked in some strange way had they kept at it longer, but considering the incredible success each has found over the years, it’s probably better they never got the chance to find out. Besides, in her own weird way, she seems happier screaming at the neighbors and managing heavy metal acts than she would driving around town in one of the comedian’s old cars.

When pushed by her co-stars, Sharon declined to admit whether or not she and Leno ever slept together, instead playing it coy by saying it was too long ago to remember. Either way, it’s an interesting factoid and hopefully, an amusing and happy memory for each.

Sharon Osbourne has finally made her next career move. Last summer, the veteran judge on America’s Got Talent bowed out of her contract, citing a problem with NBC’s treatment of her son, Jack, on the now-defunct Stars Earn Stripes as the catalyst of her decision. She may have been replaced on the NBC series by a Spice Girl, but she’s already moved forward, signing on to judge the U.K.’s popular program The X Factor.

Osbourne should be familiar with The X Factor’s format. The longtime TV personality was actually a jusge on the long-running series during its infancy, remaining on the panel from 2004 to 2007. Interestingly, 2007 was the year Osbourne switched gears and joined NBC’s America’s Got Talent. This is actually a good year for Osbourne to return to the U.K. series, as it is the show’s 10th Anniversary, and her appearance should be a nice reminder of the show’s origins.

According to THR, Osbourne will replace Tulisa Contostavlos. The other judges rounding out the U.K. version of the panel include Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh, and Nicole Scherzinger. For Season 10, the show has a few changes planned, including an added set of auditions.

While the Stars Earn Stripes deal was a little shady, I was sad that Osbourne blamed America’s Got Talent for something that seemed to be about the network not wanting to be liable if Sharon’s son's MS troubled him during a show full of strenuous activity. I get the “punish the big guy” mentality, but I think her skills were extremely well-suited to America’s Got Talent, and I guess now we can just hope she’ll bring the same talent to the U.K.’s X Factor stage.

Rather than let the speculation about his marriage and his personal life continue to run rampant, Ozzy Osbourne decided to personally set the record straight yesterday. He’s been taking drugs and hitting the bottle pretty hard lately. That lack of sobriety has affected his relationships with his children, his wife, his bandmates and his fans, but he quit about a month and a half ago and is working toward being a better person.

Ozzy and his wife Sharon recently moved out of their home, and rumors have raged that they’re living apart. Ozzy doesn’t directly address that in his statement, but he does make it clear that whatever is going on is his fault and he’s working on fixing it. That’s a big first step toward starting the healing process.

With any luck, whatever wounds were inflicted will eventually heal between these two, and they’ll be able to get back to focusing on far more important things—like another generation of Osbournes. Pop Blend’s sincerest thoughts go out to Ozzy and company in their quest.

Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne married more than thirty years ago. Together, they raised several children, found incredible career success and even participated in an incredibly popular reality show. To most, the pair have always come off as an eccentric yet incredibly devoted couple. Unfortunately, if new rumors are to be believed, their relationship might not be all roses.

According to TMZ and several other outlets, the longtime lovers have decided to take some time apart. After selling their house earlier this month, she allegedly moved into the Beverly Hills Hotel, and he allegedly rented another house in Beverly Hills to stay in. At this point, however, all of that is unconfirmed because neither Ozzy nor Sharon has spoken publically about the whispers and their son Jack actually took to Twitter to call BS on the reports…

Ozzy and Sharon definitely aren’t your standard run of the mill couple. They’re both opinionated. They’re both extremely busy, and they’ve both found incredible career success. That being said, there’s something about them that’s always worked. There’s something about their love that just made sense—like they were the only two weirdos in the world who could possibly appreciate each other.

Over the past few months, Kelly Osbourne has received a slew of vicious Twitter comments and threats from angry Lady Gaga supporters pissed off about the Fashion Police star’s insults toward their beloved Mother Monster. Saying the pop star looked pregnant didn’t exactly sit well with them, but the giant torrent of hate that’s come since didn’t exactly sit well with Osbourne either. So, she recently reached out to Gaga’s manager in private and asked if the singer could tell her fans to take it easy on the death threats. She decided not to. Instead, she went in a different direction, and now, the feud has kicked into a whole new level.

Speaking on her Little Monsters Blog, Gaga said Osbourne needs to look in the mirror and realize she makes people feel bad all the time.

Not surprisingly, the letter riled up Kelly’s outspoken mother Sharon Osbourne. She was the one who contacted Gaga’s manager initially to try and stop the death threats, and this week, she addressed the ongoing situation in an open letter of her own. You can read an excerpt of it below…

I get where everyone involved is coming from here. Kelly has said numerous mean things about Gaga in the past. At one point, she even called her face ugly. If the pop star’s fans want to say mean things to Kelly, I don’t really have a problem with that, but there’s a mountain of difference between making fun of someone’s appearance and threatening physical harm.

Here’s to hoping these two can work this mess out sooner rather than later.

After the article the NY Post ran, which quotes America's Got Talent judge Sharon Osbourne as stating that NBC discriminated against her son Jack when they decided not to allow him to join the cast of their upcoming celebrity reality competition series Stars Earns Stripes, it seemed inevitable that NBC would respond back with their own official statement on the matter. And sure enough, NBC chairman Bob Greenblatt has something to say on the matter.

The Post's article linked Osbourne's decision not to return to her judging role in NBC's talent competition series America's Got Talent with NBC's choice not to allow her son Jack Osbourne to be among the contestants of Stars Earn Stripes, a reality competition series that has celebrities competing in military-inspired exercises. Sharon Osbourne called it discrimination, as NBC's choice to exclude Jack from the series had to do with his multiple sclerosis diagnosis. Deadline posted the statement NBC's Greenblatt released, responding to the situation.

It's easy to see NBC's caution in this situation as much as it's easy to understand Sharon Osbourne's outrage and frustration over how her son was reportedly treated. The tone of Greenblatt's statement, which includes expressing NBC's affection for Sharon Osbourne, suggests that they're looking to smooth the situation over and leave things on good (or better) terms. Perhaps that's at least partially in the interest of trying to work things out with Sharon, who is still technically under contract for her role on AGT. As of right now though, it seems like she's ready to move on from the series after this season. We'll have to wait and see if anything further develops from this on either side.

Late last month, we learned that Sharon Osbourne was planning on leaving America's Got Talent, after she posted a tweet saying as much, though the specific reason at that time was undisclosed. Reports today are linking Osbourne's decision to depart AGT with an issue involving her son's planned involvement in another NBC series.

NY Post got the story, stating that Sharon Osbourne is "fuming" over how NBC decided not to allow her son Jack Osbourne to participate in their upcoming celebrity reality series Stars Earn Stripes due to his diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. The series, which premieres later this month, will have various celebrities competing against one another with events that involve military-style training. Jack was reportedly sent an email two days before he was supposed to start work for the show, telling him he was fired. His mother Sharon Osbourne says it's discrimination.

The Post implies that this is the reason Sharon Osbourne has decided not to return to AGT next summer. She Tweeted a partial statement on the matter last month, stating, "My darling @HowardStern, money is not the reason I'm not returning to @nbcagt, it's because…" but leaving the remainder of the statement unspoken.

Though she's still technically under contract for AGT, Osbourne says they can't force her to stay. "All they can do is stop me from being a judge on another network for five years."

It's possible that the concern over insurance issues may have resulted in NBC deciding not to include Osbourne in Stars Earn Stripes, though the Post says Jack Osbourne offered to purchase his own insurance policy and the producers declined. The site also quotes Stars Earns Stripes producer David Hurwitz as saying "The rigors of the show were too intense for him." It's unclear where that determination came from though, but Hurwitz claims Jack was never hired to begin with, just that they were in talks to hire him. The Osbournes reportedly confirmed that no formal contract was signed but that they were moving forward in good-faith with a verbal commitment. The Post doesn't mention if Jack has or is going to take legal action against NBC over this, but his mother's comment about this being discrimination does make me wonder if we might hear word of that.

As for Osbourne, while she will no doubt be missed on AGT, it isn't difficult to see where she's coming from. From what she says, an NBC executive offered to give Jack the fee he would have received for appearing in the show, but for him, it's not about the money. "He wanted his gig. It gave him something to look forward to when he was diagnosed." Put that way, her frustation and anger is understandable. And she just so happens to be in a position to do something about it. She may not be able to get her son on the show (it premieres August 13, so it's too late for that), but leaving AGT would show support and solidarity.

2012 has been a big year for shakeups on high-profile reality competition shows. The X Factor saw two of its judges and its host replaced for Season 2 and American Idol's judge situation continues to change (the latest: Steven Tyler is confirmed-out, Mariah Carey confirmed-in). NBC is also not immune: after cast shakeups brought Howard Stern on board this season, it seemed we had a winning judging panel, at least if we are disregarding the fact Stern will probably only stick around for one year. Even worse, now we may be losing America’s most fiery redhead, too.

Earlier today, Sharon Osbourne was having a nice fireside Twitter chat with Howard Stern about America’s Got Talent when she made a pointed comment that could potentially be bad news for the peacock network.

The opinionated judge left out the second half of her sentence, but if I had to form a guess I would say if she does decide to leave, it has something to do with the grueling schedule of the show and the fact Osbourne is now a devoted grandmother. Regardless, Deadline is reporting the reality judge still has three years left on her contract and it would be extremely surprising if NBC would just let her go. The woman is one of the best judges I have ever seen, female or no, on any of these sorts of shows. She has a rational perspective and the right combination of a no-nonsense attitude mixed with a little empathy.

Because Osbourne is also a host on The Talk, she is extremely busy, but I hope she sticks it out until the end of her contract, if for no other reason than the fact America’s Got Talent has not dipped at all in quality since its inception and I would argue a good chunk of that is due to her.

Employees of CBS’ The Talk are dropping like flies. At the turn of the year, co-host Marissa Jaret Winokur bailed on the program. Then, in May, the show’s second producer Susan Winston left the show after only a week on the job. At some point, you would think The Talk would finalize its lineup and settle into a routine. Apparently, it hasn’t, and now co-host Sharon Osbourne is asking for a break from the show.

The Talk has been overtly criticized as terrible, even with charismatic Holly Robinson Peete at the helm. If you’re going to leave an unlikable show, I guess it’s better to jump off a sinking ship and take your chances rather than stay on board until the bitter end. However, Osbourne isn’t begging to leave. According to AOL TV, Osbourne is just taking a break so she can hang out with her husband, Ozzy, when he’s on leave from his current tour.

Sounds fishy to me. Losing Sharon Osbourne will cut the cast down to four people and will also rid The Talk of any colorful character it had. If Osbourne’s leave really has something to do with her love for Ozzy, good for her. If it has more to do with snark and bitchy side comments backstage, I wouldn’t be surprised if Sharon Osbourne turns her break into something more permanent. So what if The Talk is already renewed for a second season? Her paycheck can’t be that good.
