Spoilers ahead for America’s Got Talent Season 21’s fourth night of auditions, which aired June 23. You can stream the episode with a Peacock subscription.

It was a night of surprises on America’s Got Talent, as the fourth round of auditions aired on the 2026 TV schedule. Simon Cowell and the rest of the judges started out saying they loved not knowing exactly where the acts were going, but that sentiment fell flat after three straight acts received the dreaded red X. Thankfully Rubén Roldán was there to save the night, and you’ve got to see the act that earned Simon Cowell’s second and final Golden Buzzer of the season.

Season 21 so far has had knife-throwers who had overcome significant trauma, singers who flummoxed Mel B and plenty of magic, singing and acts involving dogs. What we haven’t seen yet is parkour, and definitely not the way Rubén Roldán did it. The contestant stunned the judges by starting his act outside the theater, revealing just before he started that he had a prosthetic leg. The 23-year-old removed his prosthetic, shocking everyone watching from inside, and began jumping from stair rail to stair rail. You have to see this for yourself:

When the act was finished, there was the longest pause of astonishment before the entire crowd exploded in applause for the unbelievably impressive routine. And when I say that Rubén Roldán had everyone’s jaw on the ground, I literally mean Sofía Vergara and Simon Cowell's mouths were fully agape.

The contestant told the judges that he lived in the countryside and had lost his leg as a child in a tractor accident, and Simon Cowell couldn’t wait any longer to give him his flowers — or his pass to the live shows, rather, saying:

Cue the gold confetti, as Simon Cowell slammed down the Golden Buzzer, sending Rubén Roldán into a fit of celebration that had audience members in tears.

This was the veteran judge’s final Golden Buzzer to give out for Season 21, after he awarded his first to 14-year-old Lai Noelle in the season premiere for singing a rendition of Sienna Spiro’s “Die On This Hill.” Howie Mandel and Mel B have also used both of theirs already, with the former Spice Girl's second coming in this episode as well. Now just two Golden Buzzers remain, with Terry Crews and Sofía Vergara each giving out just one so far.

Given how often a Golden Buzzer winner goes on to win the entire competition, I’ll be excited to see who the final two acts are to get them. Tune in to find out, as new episodes air at 8 p.m. ET each Tuesday on NBC, available to stream the next day on Peacock.

Modern Family is well known for being one of the best sitcoms of all time, and it introduced us to perhaps the best TV family to ever grace our screens. Though the dynamics between the Pritchets, Delgados, and Dunphys were never perfect, they always came together to support one another. After 11 seasons playing a family unit, it’s no surprise the cast is all still very close with each other. Sofia Vergara, who played Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, says she misses one cast member in particular, and it’s partially because of his group chat habits.

Modern Family ran from 2009-2020 on ABC, and in many ways, it was a very unique filming environment. So very rarely do all the stars of a TV show get along, but Julie Bowen, who played mom Claire Dunphy, has previously said she could have happily stayed on the Modern Family set forever. Vergara shared similar sentiments when the show ended, and personally reunited the cast at her house in 2023.

Still, it’s not the same as seeing someone everyday, and the America’s Got Talent judge recently told People the reason why she misses her onscreen husband Ed O’Neill (Jay Pritchett) more than most:

Ed O’Neill must have been the perfect mentor for the Hot Pursuit actress, after helming another familial sitcom Married…With Children from 1987-1997. I have to say, Vergara must have made his job easy though. I remember her being a natural talent and favorite character on Modern Family from even the early episodes of Season 1, which are available to stream with a Hulu subscription.

It’s natural to miss someone after spending nearly every day with them for 11 years. In many ways, it was like a real marriage with kids, and I love that the Modern Family cast have kept up those roles with each other since the show’s departure. Though some like Ty Burrell have moved away from Hollywood, making it difficult to attend cast reunions, they really do try to show up for the big moments in each others’ lives.

Nearly all of them were in attendance for Sarah Hyland’s wedding to reality star Wells Adams, with her onscreen uncle Jesse Tyler Ferguson even officiating the nuptials. Burrell and Eric Stonestreet (Cam) recently went to support Ferguson in his off-Broadway show TRU as well.

Some cast members even live together, with Ariel Winter (Alex Dunphy) recently becoming roommates with her TV brother Nolan Gould, after ending her long-term relationship with former Disney actor Luke Benward.

However, for those not sharing a bathroom like they’re back in the Dunphy house, Vergara says they keep in touch via a family group chat. When asked whether or not the chat is still active, the Griselda actress confirmed everyone texts pretty frequently, except the one person she misses the most:

User error! I’m cracking up because this is so Jay Pritchett of O’Neill. A lot of the time, Jay was out of the loop when it came to modern tech or lingo, a side effect of being an older dad to young kids. So it makes sense that would still be the case when it comes to the Modern Family group chat, and I’m left wondering how much acting O’Neill had to do when it came to playing his character. At least the 80-year-old actor still responds…eventually.

Regardless, it makes my heart so happy to know the Modern Family cast all still talk on a regular basis, and I can’t wait for the next time they all get together.

America’s Got Talent is back, and when Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel and Mel B (remember, no Heidi Klum anymore) took their spots behind the judges table for Season 21, they were itching to hit that Golden Buzzer. In fact, three deserving acts from the talent show’s 2026 TV premiere got sent straight to the live shows, but it was a couple of knife-throwers who I can’t stop thinking about after hearing the terrifying story of what they had to overcome to get there.

It’s not rare to see seemingly dangerous acts on America’s Got Talent, but the knife-throwing and crossbow-shooting that Tyrone and Margo did was especially scary because they were aiming at each other in motion. Margo had to dodge knives at an unbelievable speed, and afterward, Simon Cowell had to ask if anything had ever gone wrong during their stunts. Tyrone shocked everyone when he said it had:

Mel B. — who had a strong reaction to a Season 20 crossbow performance — and Sofia Vergara were rendered practically speechless, but the panel gave Margo credit for being brave enough to continue.

But is she OK now?, they wanted to know. Margo told them:

What a terrible thing for the husband-and-wife team to have gone through. It was difficult even to watch them tell the story, because you could see how emotional Margo got talking about it, and Tyrone looked heartbroken about what happened.

Tyrone’s concern was teased ahead of their act, when they were shown backstage. Margo asked her husband if he was nervous, and he said:

Oof, points for honesty, but moments before taking the America’s Got Talent stage is a pretty terrible time to lose your confidence. Hearing that story is going to make me even more nervous if they take the stage again, which is a strong possibility, because Tyrone and Margo received a “yes” vote from all four judges. The AGT Judges Had Itchy Buzzer Fingers For The Premiere

It’s not rare that the AGT champion is one of the performers who received a Golden Buzzer during auditions, and the judges picked three great acts during its Season 21 premiere. Fourteen-year-old Lai Noelle stunned the judges (and me) with a gorgeous vocal performance. Her singing voice was so surprisingly different from her speaking voice that Simon Cowell couldn’t help but steal the Golden Buzzer moment from Sofia Vergara, who had told him she was going to hit it.

Then it was Terry Crews who beat her to the punch by hitting the buzzer for the Acro Crew, who incorporated dogs into their impressive tumbling routine. Finally, Howie Mandel hit the Golden Buzzer for rapper Luke Taleno, who manifested the moment by telling Simon Cowell a year ago as an audience member that he’d be back to get the Golden Buzzer.

America’s Got Talent is off to a strong start, so be sure to tune in for the next round of auditions at 8 p.m. ET Tuesday, June 9, on NBC and streaming the next day on Peacock.

Sofia Vergara has always been one to take advantage of the bikini weather, and the crisp white of her bikini pops against the colorful flowers surrounding her. If all those bouquets weren’t already an indication of how much birthday love she got, she shared another post where she sported a floral dress to pose with her son Manolo as well as a handful of friends. I bet they helped her eat that cake, too, even after she stuck her finger in the icing!

Tom Brady has been connected to a lot of women since his own divorce from Gisele Bündchen in 2022, from rumors about Kim Kardashian to an alleged tryst with Irina Shayk to his recent hangouts with newly single Dakota Johnson. Sofia Vergara is also among them, as she posted a photo on July 1 that showed her sitting next to the former New England Patriot at a yacht party.

However, the Daily Mail reported the two are not dating and that Tom Brady is allegedly enjoying being single and not looking for a relationship. The source alleged:

However, a representative for the 47-year-old ex-QB said Tom Brady “would never” call 53-year-old Sofia Vergara “too old” for him, telling People:

Regardless of what is or isn’t going on between Tom Brady and Sofia Vergara, I just love that she took time for herself with a fun trip on her birthday.

America’s Got Talent’s highly-anticipated Season 20 officially arrived on the 2025 TV schedule on Tuesday. But before each act can hit the stage, they have to go through a rigorous casting process to get there. When CinemaBlend attended the open call auditions in Pasadena, California a couple of months ago, we learned how the judges connect to the process.

It was a blast to tune in with our live blog of the premiere earlier this week, where we saw everything from a guy chugging jars of pickle juice and hot sauce to a breathtaking light, tech, and dance show that earned the first Golden Buzzer of the season and had Simon Cowell in awe. But how do Cowell, Mel B, Howie Mandel, and Sofia Vergara affect who’s chosen to be on stage? Here’s what casting producer Meg MacGregor told us:

Considering the four judges have to watch a lot of acts and react to them on television, I figured they might give the casting producers some notes when choosing the acts. However, the judges want to be as surprised as we are! MacGregor has been pivotal to the casting of America’s Got Talent for eighteen seasons, so she has a lot of experience on the subject. As she continued:

It sounds like it can be all about personality and bringing something that will get a reaction out of the judges. It definitely seems like those who have touching stories and really put their heart and soul into their acts also get pulled through, such as the magician in Texas who connected his act with giving a present to his daughter or 23-year-old Jordan Blue getting a Golden Buzzer after touching the judges with his backstory and amazing singing voice, and then bringing in his girlfriend and newborn on stage after the big moment.

Elsewhere in our interview, MacGregor talked about looking for really “confident, genuine people” who can “hold their own” on stage, and we saw a lot of that during the premiere on Tuesday.

Season 20 follows “the singing janitor” Richard Goodall winning last season after warming the hearts of America with his amazing singing voice and charm. When we spoke to Goodall after his win, he said he hoped his victory would inspire more people that “anybody can try out”, and make it to the finale. We can’t wait to watch more contestants take the stage, surprise us and the judges as the season continues on NBC this summer.

Even though it’s been about five years since Sofia Vergara appeared as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on one of the best sitcoms ever, Modern Family, the star has stayed booked and busy. Vergara has added a lot of endeavors to her resume, from Netflix's buzzy series Griselda (which she helped produce) to continuing as a judge on America’s Got Talent’s 20th Season, along with her speckling of business ventures and brand endorsements. Needless to say, the 52-year-old has continued to grind and celebrate her successes. And with the seasons having turned from grey skies to sunny ones, Vergara is rightfully taking the time to soak it all up in her swimsuit (with one of her products).

Ahead of the 2025 TV guide’s May 27 premiere of AGT on NBC, the Hot Purusit actress took to her Instagram to showcase how she relaxes poolside. But it wasn’t any casual R&R-filled moment, because the A-lister was totting her skincare brand, Toty. As she showed off the line, she lounged on her stomach, not a cloud in sight and sported a cheeky black string bikini. Accompanied by the summery selfie, was this caption “Ya casi llega el verano!☀️☀️protégete con @toty 👙” (which translates into: Summertime is almost here! protect yourself with @toty ). I’m not sure about anyone else out there, but this post certainly has me even more inspired for sunnier and warmer days. Vergara’s Toty has been on the market for two years and has received great reviews, like the star herself. The Commenters of the shared image were loving on her and the brand, inspired by what her late brother called her when she was little:

The chill post looks like a nice, serene moment before summer and her schedule really takes off. Currently, she’s working on voicing a character for Koati: Animated Series and was filming AGT’s historic leg of the series. Behind the scenes and the logistics of auditions for the NBC staple seem wild enough with all the different acts the show screens, let alone the rest of the season. It’s great that Vergara knows how to balance work and play (even if she’s making a small ad spot) and takes advantage of the seasonal elements.

Hopefully, this isn’t her last lazy day for the coming months because that scene looks so nice to just fully hang around in. I have a feeling it won’t be.

Ideally, Thanksgiving is a day for family, food and football (sometimes even if you’re working, like Tom Brady), but we all know things don’t always go as planned. Emergencies don’t take a break just because it’s a holiday, and that’s a truth that both Modern Family co-stars Julie Bowen and Jesse Tyler Ferguson learned Thursday. Each spent the day at the hospital with their children (both are OK, they assured fans!), and I love that they can lean on each other for support.

It might make a good synopsis for a Modern Family episode if it weren’t such a terrible thing to happen in real life, but on Thanksgiving Day, the actors who played siblings Claire Dunphy and Mitchell Pritchett on one of the best sitcoms of all time both had to take their kids to the ER. Julie Bowen, who shares 17-year-old Oliver and 15-year-old twins John and Gustav with her ex-husband Scott Phillips, posted a photo to Instagram showing one of them silhouetted in front of the lit-up emergency room entrance:

In the caption, the Happy Gilmore 2 actress assured fans that her son is fine, and she seemed to indicate this might not be their first visit to the establishment (as boy moms everywhere can surely attest to). Still, it wasn’t the ideal holiday, I’m sure, and as people sent their well-wishes in the comments, there was a familiar face, commiserating with Julie Bowen. Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s husband Justin Mikita commented:

Sadly it seems that the two dads, who share 4-year-old Beckett Mercer and 2-year-old Sullivan Louis, also had a not-so-happy holiday, as Jesse Tyler Ferguson shared his own photo on social media. The Tony Award winner looked solemnly at the camera as he lay in a hospital bed holding one of his sons:

He referenced his TV sister’s similar struggles, as he wrote:

I love that Jesse Tyler Ferguson has been able to lean on his sister for advice, as her boys are a good bit older than his, and it sounds like some of that inevitable parent guilt was alleviated by seeing that she, too, was unable to prevent whatever landed them in the ER. Their struggles didn’t go unnoticed by Sofia Vergara, who played their stepmother Gloria on the sitcom, as she commented on JTF’s photo:

Neither of the Modern Family stars disclosed the reasons for their hospital visit, but the important thing is that it sounds like everyone is OK. It’s also great to know that the Pritchett siblings can still lean on each other after all these years.

The quarterfinals of America's Got Talent Season 19 are nearly over in the 2024 TV schedule, and Simon Cowell was the judge with the golden buzzer in the latest episode. It wasn't too surprising that aerialist Sebastian got the buzzer after a spectacular performance despite his partner Sonia getting injured in rehearsals, and L6 returned without the benefit of a second song this time around. Quick change magician Solange Kardinaly was back to close out the night to plenty of applause, but comedian Erica Rhodes was still a standout of the night, although Sofia Vergara and Simon Cowell have different visions of what should be next for her. Only one of them was roasted, though!

Admittedly, Simon Cowell's roast was more of a light toasting than what Tom Brady endured earlier this year, but I'd say that Erica Rhodes certainly made her point. Following her set that touched on dating, aging, and her voice, Sofia Vergara first told the contestant this:

While suggesting that Rhodes should be on a sitcom isn't exactly a vote of confidence that she'll be the champion of America's Got Talent Season 19, receiving that compliment from Sofia Vergara of all people had to feel good. Vergara of course starred on all eleven seasons of Modern Family and was nominated for the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series four times alongside Julie Bowen.

Simon Cowell was less effusive in his praise, however, when he pointed out that he didn't laugh this time even though he'd liked her audition. He had this suggestion:

Unlike Simon Cowell, I did laugh at Erica Rhodes' quarterfinals performance and wouldn't have suggested to her face that she needs to be surrounded by others to be funny, but I do like his idea of her on Saturday Night Live, and not just because of the sketch comedy show's recent cast departures or buzz over the 50th anniversary.

This performance proved that she can be funny while performing live on camera, keep her cool, and roll with the punches, as she had a zinger for Cowell when she didn't get the reaction she may have expected after the compliments from the other three judges. After his critique, she said:

And that was enough to make Simon Cowell laugh, oddly enough. In a nod to one of her jokes, AGT host Terry Crews went on to ask who gives her a ride to the airport, to which she quickly responded that "Simon's not" on the top of her list. All in all, she brought some laughs and I think proved herself both as a comic and a live performer on camera.

Even if Cowell's comments may not have been phrased in a way that she loved, I could see Erica Rhodes on SNL. If you missed her performance or just want to check it out again, take a look:

The Rock’s well-known for his high-grossing movies, former wrestling career and his appetite for life. Even though Dwayne Johnson can’t and won’t stop working out for his movies, it doesn’t mean he holds back his love for food. In the Moana actor’s latest Cheat Night, he made himself cozy in his home scarfing down three cheeseburgers with Sofia Vergara’s show on TV, and I can get behind it.

If the average person were to try to eat like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, they’d have to eat 10 lbs of food a day, which translates to 5,165 calories. It can be easy to be envious of The Rock eating so much food, yet still looking incredibly fit. He admitted that the calories he consumes during his cheat meals (get ready for this) is between 5,000-6,000 calories. Based on Johnson’s recent Instagram video of his latest Cheat Night, he’s definitely not exaggerating, as he ate three cheeseburgers while cozying up to Sofia Vergara’s Griselda below, and I, for one, am behind this:

Hilariously comparing himself to Jabba the Hut in his video, Dwayne Johnson looks like he’s enjoying himself with his mouth-watering cheeseburgers and fries. His caption mentioned his love not only for his Miami home, but for the critically acclaimed Netflix series Griselda. The Jumanji actor sent his praises for “the godmother herself” and the excellent performances from the cast. There’s nothing like watching an entertaining miniseries while eating food to activate those feel-good juices.

If Cheat Nights were an Olympic sport, Dwayne Johnson would be the reigning champ. His cheat meals are the best thing on the internet (as long as you’re not hungry) like two years ago, when he showed off “The Rock Toast,” his sushi train express and homemade cookies. There was also the time he opted for a midnight cheat meal of crumb cake fresh out of the oven, and there's his recent chef’s kiss cheat meal post-Wrestlemania 40 consisting of four pancakes with syrup and granola. Considering the successful businesses of this celebrity, I’m vouching he creates his own restaurant so we can all have cheat meals the way Johnson does.

When Dwayne Johnson isn’t treating himself to savory foods and Netflix shows, he’s still bringing his acting chops to the big screen. He recently wrapped up filming for A24’s The Smashing Machine going back to his wrestling roots to portray the true story of former UFC and PRIDE fighter Mark Kerr. As of now, The Wrap confirmed that The Scorpion King actor has just started filming the upcoming Disney movie Monster Jam. Announced during this year’s D23, Monster Jam will take family-friendly audiences to the world of monster truck shows from the point of view of these wild vehicles and their drivers. With Johnson’s Disney movies always being a real treat, I’m confident he has some entertainment in store for us with this one.

Dwayne Johnson’s idea of a perfect Cheat Night would be consuming three cheeseburgers and fries, and enjoying himself in front of the TV to Sofia Vergara’s Griselda. With all of the dieting, exercising and hard work he puts into his career, I’m absolutely behind him filling a yummy Cheat Night into his schedule.

Even though it’s been off the air since 2020, Modern Family remains one of the best sitcoms of all time, particularly for how relatable it was to watch the various dynamics in one family play out from episode to episode. When Julie Bowen recently reflected on her time on the ABC series, she recalled press often pitting her against co-star Sofia Vergara and how far it was from “real life.”

When Bowen was recently a guest on the I Choose Me With Jennie Garth podcast, the two actresses spoke about their experiences with the media pitting women against each other. Here’s how the Modern Family actress responded:

Bowen also recalled going grocery shopping sometimes and seeing her face next to Sofia Vergara’s in a magazine at the checkout line and thinking how “crazy” it was that they were being depicted as enemies. As she continued:

The narrative around Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara may have spread easily among those who didn't know the actresses personally since they often went up against each other for Emmys and other awards for Modern Family. The co-stars were both up for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series four times, two of which Bowen won over Vergara. As Bowen spoke to on the podcast, the co-stars got along well on set, despite their differences, and she feels they were pitted against one another due to a popular idea that two women cannot be successful on a project at once. She also said this:

Vergara is less decorated than Bowen when it comes to Emmys, but that has a lot more to do with the voting body than the two women. Plus, Vergara has earned a slot on the list of 76th Emmy nominees as Outstanding Lead Actress In A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie for Griselda, which in turn allowed her to make history as the first-ever Latina to receive a nod in that category.

Emmys and tabloids aside, the Modern Family cast seems to be a family in real life, between reuniting together under their own accord and Bowen working in a funny Taylor Swift joke when asked about Vergara’s split from Joe Manganiello. It’s hard to imagine any of the Modern Family cast not being part of the show, which makes the fact that Bowen almost passed on the series even wilder.

In the wake of his public divorce from Sofia Vergara, Joe Manganiello’s dating life has been the subject of much speculation and curiosity. He is currently in a relationship with One Tree Hill alum Caitlin O'Connor, and it seems to be going well. The True Blood actor sparked even more interest in his personal life when he recently opened up about still having dreams of becoming a father, and revealed it is something at the forefront of his mind as he pursues other relationships after his divorce.

Manganiello was a guest on the podcast Popcrushed, which is hosted by You star Penn Badgley, as well as Nava Kavelin and Sophie Ansari. He opened up about his life growing up, and initial struggles when he first became an actor. He also got comfortable enough to chat about his desires within his personal life, and he wants to have kids after being a strong presence in the lives of his nieces and nephews. He said:

This statement caught wind, especially considering the idea of having children was rumored to be a point of tension that led to the divorce between him and Vergara. The Modern Family star was married before Manganiello, and had her son when she was still a teenager. Allegedly, Vergara didn’t want to continue having children within her marriage to Manganiello, while the Magic Mike actor had a desire to be a father. If this was the sole reason for their split is unconfirmed, but this statement by Manganiello continued to fuel rumors surrounding their divorce.

Both actors have since moved on from their split, so whatever their individual desires were within their marriage, they are now able to explore with other people. Vergara is also dating, and is currently with orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman, who she was first linked to in October 2023. The actress posted a photo of the two of them vacationing in Italy, and seems happy and in love again. The decision to divorce is never an easy one, but both stars seem to be content as they individually look for new love.

As for Manganiello, he seems to not only be pursuing love, but also fatherhood. The 47-year-old actor is navigating a new chapter of his life, and is also seemingly making his intentions very clear. We don’t know if his relationship with O’Connor is at the “starting a family” stage just yet, but this is vocally where Manganiello is hoping it’s going. He said he feels like he has “a lot to give” in that area, and hopefully, he has the opportunity to explore this as he explores new paths to happiness in his life.

America's Got Talent Season 19 may be far from over in the 2024 TV schedule, but the latest episode on July 16 featured the last golden buzzer that could be hit, after the new rule giving the judges extras was added this year. Sofia Vergara had the honors, and there were plenty of obvious candidates to be advanced straight to the live shows. There were some amazing singers with powerful stories, and I could even see the contortionist as a wild card. Instead, Vergara hit the buzzer for a two-man act that really defies being categorized, and nobody was more shocked than her fellow judges. And really, she had the best explanation for why she picked them.

The golden buzzer winners in this episode were the two men who make up Japanese comedy duo Schumacher, and their act consisted of one of them contorting himself onto all fours to take the shape of an animal, before they joined forces to take the shape of a giraffe at the end. Initially, it seemed like Sofia Vergara wasn't the biggest fan after they finished, as she asked "What is it?" She wasn't sure if it was "a dance or a puppet or a transformation [or] quick changing." Then, before she hit the buzzer and visibly shocked Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell, she said:

After she hit the golden buzzer and as confetti rained down from the ceiling, Vergara went up on stage to Schumacher while everybody else recovered from their surprise. Host Terry Crews came right out and asked her "why did you make this decision" that shocked the world, and I loved her answer so much that I immediately rewatched it. Vergara explained why she hit the golden buzzer, saying:

Personally, I love when the judges hit the golden buzzer for performers who aren't already all but guaranteed to be advanced by the full panel, and just have fun with it instead. Sofia Vergara picked an act that was weird, one of a kind, and not a shoo-in to get a "yes" from each of the four judges. Besides, the majority of the golden buzzer recipients this season have been singers and dance groups, so an act that embraces – to quote Vergara – "nonsense" is bound to make the live shows more fun and unpredictable. Can I hit a golden buzzer for Sofia's golden buzzer?

And while the other judges were clearly shocked, I didn't get the vibe that any of them thought that Vergara made a bad choice or that Schumacher will make Simon Cowell's list of acts he didn't like. Heidi Klum opened up about her friend’s new romance, calling Saliman “such a sweetheart.”

Heidi Klum told ET that she recently attended a party for Sofía Vergara to celebrate the actress’ 52nd birthday. After eating some reportedly delicious cake and taking photos with the birthday girl and her doctor boyfriend, Klum explained why Justin Saliman might have been the reason that the party had to end somewhat early. She said: 

Well I suppose the surgeon had a pretty good excuse for not hosting a full-on rager for Sofía Vergara, and it sounds like Heidi Klum and the other guests were more than happy to accommodate him. In fact, the supermodel had nothing but nice things to say about Justin Saliman, particularly because of how happy Vergara is with her new partner. Klum continued: 

I guess this means that their fellow America’s Got Talent judge Howie Mandel can stand down from being Sofía Vergara’s matchmaker. A month after the Griselda star announced her split from Joe Manganiello, Mandel joked on AGT that Vergara was “in the market” for a new man. Some people thought it was too soon for the Deal or No Deal host to involve himself in that way, but Vergara seemed to be highly amused, laughing as she raised her arms proudly.

Sofía Vergara has definitely shown a sense of humor during what had to have been a difficult divorce. When discussing her tattoos during an interview on The Talk, she joked that the “J” she’d gotten inked on her wrist for Joe Manganiello had been “recycled” and now was for Justin Saliman.

Divorces are not easy things to go through, but in this case it sounds like both parties have come out happy on the other side. Joe Manganiello, for his part, has moved on as well, going public with girlfriend Caitlin O’Connor in February.

Howie Mandel has held many titles over the course of his four-decade career — comedian, actor, talent judge and one of the best game show hosts — and now I guess we can go ahead and add matchmaker to that list too. The America’s Got Talent panelist had an interesting interaction with an audience member during an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark regarding his son’s love life, and I can’t help but think of how he also tried to play that same role for fellow AGT judge Sofía Vergara after her divorce.

Howie Mandel visited Live with Kelly and Mark, where the subject of his children came up. After joking that while his two daughters went to college and got degrees, his son Alex Mandel “wasn’t accepted” to homeschool. He went on to make more playful jokes at Alex’s expense, telling the audience:  

At that point a woman in the audience interrupted him to seemingly take Howie Mandel up on the offer, saying that her name was also Alex. The comedian responded: 

Despite audience member Alex saying she’d “love to,” Howie Mandel had to walk it back, saying that the younger Mandel was going to be mad at him, despite Alex seeming like a “lovely young lady.” It was a pretty hilarious encounter, and it gave me flashbacks to similar stunts he’s pulled with Sofía Vergara. 

Howie Mandel Wanted To Find New Love For Sofía Vergara After Divorce 

Following the news of Sofia Vergara’s split from Joe Manganiello after seven years of marriage, her America’s Got Talent colleague Howie Mandel wasted no time in trying to play matchmaker for the Modern Family star. In fact only a month had passed before the comedian was joking to the talent show’s performers that Vergara was “in the market” for a new man. Despite the audience and other judges’ awkward reactions, the actress proudly raised her arms and let out a big laugh.

Howie Mandel even doubled down on the sentiment after people argued that it was “too soon” to make such jokes, pointing out how funny she thought it was and insisting he would never hurt his friend and co-worker.

While Aniston plays the role of tough co-anchor Alex Levy flawlessly, she admitted to Sofía Vergara that she wasn’t all that confident when taking on that career-changing Apple TV+ role:

Considering critics couldn’t stop talking about Vergara’s performance on Griselda, the Office Space actress' decision to seek out an acting coach who knows how to mold her stars well definitely worked in her favor.

The New Year's Eve alum spoke honestly at the Roundtable about how difficult it was to play the role of the real-life crime boss. Modern Family is TV-PG, and what the AGT judge had to perform a number of risque acts in the 2024 Netflix TV series. Her character drank alcohol, smoked in practically every scene and killed people. But she told Jennifer Aniston and their fellow actresses that Nancy Banks taught her all about how to bring out all of one's buried emotions for a dramatic role. She humorously pointed out that after playing this complex character, she's of the mindset that "comedy is so much nicer!”

Jennifer Aniston and Sofía Vergara's careers are certainly similar in that have very both started off making people laugh through network comedies before diving into murkier material. Both are incredibly talented, and it's awesome that Vergara decided to take a cue from Aniston while moving forward with Griselda. Here's hoping that both stars will continue to tackle interesting material -- and lean on each other for support -- as time goes on.

Tattoos can be tricky business when it comes to honoring a significant other, especially if that relationship comes to an end. Pete Davidson, for example, had some work to do in getting some ink removed after his breakup with Kim Kardashian, and it's something we've seen over and over again amongst celebrities. However, Sofía Vergara is proving that sometimes you don’t have to go through all the trouble of removing or altering your body art, as she revealed how the tattoo she got for her now-ex-husband Joe Manganiello has taken on a new meaning.

Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello announced last summer that they were divorcing after seven years of marriage. When it comes to delivering awe-inspiring performances and shocking feats of astonishment, America’s Got Talent is the king of the castle, and creator Simon Cowell showed off his Midas Touch once more in bringing a second Golden Buzzer into the competition for Season 19. The NBC hit premiere, which featured quite the stressful dance routine, understandably didn’t need to utilize the new change just yet, but all the judges seem highly enthused about AGT’s continued evolution.

Ahead of the 19th season’s debut, the America’s Got Talent squad spoke with Entertainment Tonight about giving auditioning hopefuls a few extra shots at stardom with five additional Golden Buzzers in the running for the remaining weeks of tryouts. As it goes with the ones that were already in place, a Golden Buzzer allows one of the judges to automatically advance an act into the next round of competition, despite what anyone else thinks.

Simon Cowell explained what sparked the idea to bring more of that fan-favorite into the show’s future.

Indeed, every season of AGT auditions features at least one or two acts (if not more) that defy all forms of logic and expectation. And there are no doubt times when one of those offbeat acts could have gone farther in the competition if the judges had more Golden Buzzers to hand out. Which is definitely a reason why Cowell's co-stars are pumped about the addition.

Heidi Klum

Heidi Klum didn't even make it out of the Season 19 premiere without using up her first Golden Buzzer. She gave it to middle school teacher Richard Goodall for his show-stopper performance of Journey's karaoke fave "Don't Stop Believin'." So it's understandable why she's pumped about the new addition. In her words:

The question now is how long it'll be before she hands out that second Buzzer, perhaps followed by light suggestions for Simon Cowell to introduced a third Golden Buzzer in Season 20. Maybe she'll wait a few years.

Terry Crews

Not that Klum was the only AGT star to go the Golden Buzzer route in the first episode of auditions. Stand-up comedian Learnmore Jonasi took the stage, revealing he traveled to the show all the way from Zimbabwe, and that he also happens to be a mega-fan of Terry Crews, who wound up guaranteeing Jonasi's placement in the next round of the competition. And Crews spoke to the extra Golden Buzzer's importance on a show with such a wide variety of acts.

Perhaps whoever takes the stage in the second episode should also voice their extreme fandom for the Brooklyn Nine-Nine vet, as a way to try and secure his second Buzzer. Or maybe something less devious.

Sofia Vergara

Sofia Vergara, who returned to the franchise after stepping away for the Fantasy League spinoff didn't give out any of her Golden Buzzers on night one. But she definitely joined her co-judges in approving a decent-sized number of acts, such as Taiwanese magician Sam Huang (who seemingly pulled his fingers off of his own hand while standing in front of Vergara). When it comes to the extra Buzzer, Vergara was initially nonplussed, but came around once she realized that it wouldn't actually water things down. As she put it:

I can see why adding five new guarantees to the auditions might seem as if it would take away some importance from the Golden Buzzers that were already in place. But in this case, it just means the judges get to play favorites a few more times, giving lifelines to a few more acts that likely would have gone home extremely disappointed otherwise.

Howie Mandel

I'm pretty sure if America's Got Talent took its next season to space, or required all acts to be animal-related, Howie Mandel would have the same kind of "alright, let's do this!" attitude about it. So it's perhaps predictable that the stand-up comedian was just as positive-minded about additional buzzers, recalling how excited he was whenever the show first introduced the Golden Buzzer element.

Like Vergara and Cowell, Howie Mandel didn't reward any of the opening night acts with a Golden Buzzer, but there are plenty of auditions yet to come going into Summer 2024. That said, Cowell previously teased that more Golden Buzzers were issued out in the first two episodes than any comparable stretches in the past. Season 18's winner wasn't a buzzer recipient, but that could very easily change with the new season.

Along with candidly discussing dating in public, Sofía Vergara also opened up about “deal-breakers” in a new relationship. When asked what they were, she responded with:

Speaking about why she didn’t want more children, Vergara said:

Vergara shares one kid, Manlo, with her ex-husband Joe Gonzalez, and he’s 32 years old now. Based on these quotes, she loves being a mother, however, she’s at a point in her life where she doesn’t want more kids.

The 51-year-old actress continued, saying that while she respects women who want kids when they’re older. However, raising a baby at this point in her life is not what she wants. Speaking about why, Vergara said:

She makes a fair point, and overall, she seems to be living her life exactly how she wants to and giving it 100%.

Sofia Vergera managed to make quite an impression on Netflix subscribers earlier this year, thanks to her role in the limited series Griselda. The six-part crime drama sees the actress take on the role of real-life Colombian drug lord Griselda Blanco. A solid amount of praise has been showered upon the crime series as a whole, but critics have especially lauded Vergara for her performance in the eponymous role. All that aside though, Heidi Klum – Vergara’s fellow America’s Got Talent judge – humorously revealed that she was “upset” over the production for one specific reason.

While AGT’s 19th season is still a couple of months away, the two ladies reunited for a red carpet event in promotion of the competition series at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. It was there that they both spoke to ET, and Heidi Klum weighed in on her colleague’s hit show. She does indeed appear to be a fan of Griselda and, with that, she wishes she could’ve played a role in it herself: 

At the end of the day, the Despicable Me 4 star could’ve pulled a few strings and got her co-star in for a non-speaking cameo. But, as a producer on the show, the star surely had to make the creative decisions she felt were right. It should be pointed out, of course, that Heidi Klum is definitely joking and holds no true ill will towards her colleague or the show. Still, I really do think she would’ve relished the opportunity to have been even a small part of such a popular piece of work.

Griselda floated around Netflix’s Top 10 TV trending list following its debut on the platform in January. While it’s early and awards season just ended, it might be fair to assume that the Modern Family alum and the project as a whole could receive some buzz later this year. Notably ahead of its release, the production was also thrust into the center of a lawsuit after the streamer and Sofia Vergara were sued alongside five other defendants due to the show. The plaintiffs – Blanco’s son, Michael, and his wife – alleged that the series used the family’s image and likeness without authorization. The suit, which was filed in mid-January was ultimately tossed out in February. 

Though the series didn’t mark a reunion for Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara, the two can look forward to working together again on the new season of AGT, which arrives in May. Further comments they shared with ET suggest that they’re excited to be together again. Vergara made note of how they’re “always trying to have fun” when they have moments of downtime amid production. That camaraderie is palpable when they’re on screen together and, while they didn’t get to work on the limited series together, I’m glad they’ll continue to collaborate in the reality competition space.

When the subject of her marriage to the Magic Mike alum came up, she shed more light on her rationale for not wanting kids. Needless to say, it doesn’t sound like she was so keen on having another child: 

To be clear, plenty of women have had children later in life and have likely served as great mothers. There’s also nothing wrong with being a “grandma.” One can still understand the point that the former Modern Family cast member is trying to get across, though. Simultaneously, Joe Manganiello’s desire to have kids is also valid. But, having been through parenthood with her now-32-year-old son, Manolo, it’s not something the actress wants to dive back into later in life. Additional comments the Emmy nominee shared also seem to suggest that she’s not sure if she has the time to commit to a new baby at this point in her career: 

She is a busy lady these days. Since 2020, she’s served as a judge on America’s Got Talent alongside Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel. Right now, she’s also receiving praise for her performance as the titular drug kingpin in the limited series Griselda (which resulted in a lawsuit for the actress). She’s also joined the cast of the upcoming Despicable Me 4. So I can admittedly see why she wouldn’t want to put everything on hold to care for another little one. With all of that said though, she is looking forward to becoming a grandmother, and she shared a joke about that dynamic:

I don’t know about you, but I think the Strays alum would make a fun grandma. And given her personality, it wouldn’t be the least bit surprising if she proceeds to spoil the child. Critics have praised Vergara in Griselda, saying her performance as notorious drug queen-pin Griselda Blanco “consistently elevated” the show as Daniel Fienberg of THR wrote. Another critic from Variety said her performance was “engrossing,” and overall there is a lot of love for the Modern Family alum.  

So, it’s no wonder the actress was ready to party and honor her show in a gorgeous floor-length gold gown. And while she attended the event and posed for photos by herself, as you can see above, the series’ whole team was there to commemorate their massive accomplishment!

Following, the Miami premiere, Vergara went back to California, and she was recently seen out and about again. However, this time she wasn’t by herself, she was out on a date. 

After Griselda’s Premiere Sofía Vergara Was Seen On A Date Night 

While Sofía Vergara was sharing her fun take on dating in New York City not that long ago, she was recently seen on the other side of the US going out with orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman, per Page Six. 

According to the outlet, the actress and her alleged new guy were out for dinner at Cipriani in Beverly Hills, California, which is a celeb hotspot. They reportedly enjoyed a nice meal and were seemingly having a great time.

Photos obtained by the outlet showed Vergara in a chic black outfit that featured a sheer strapless black top, black flowy pants and a gorgeous black longline coat. Her date for the evening was wearing a simple look made up of blue jeans, a black and blue plaid shirt and a denim jacket. Overall, they looked great together.

Apparently, Vergara and Saliman have been linked since October. That means they were first reported together three months after her highly publicized divorce from Manganiello was announced in July. While divorce is never easy, the actress reportedly felt “very fortunate” that it wasn’t super dramatic, and the two were able to split without much conflict.  

Now, Sofía Vergara is living her best single life, and dating again. To top it off, she also has a hit show in Griselda, which is available to stream right now with a Netflix subscription. 

Although Modern Family ended almost four years ago, it is still one of the funniest shows on Hulu. The Modern Family Halloween episodes were always hilarious. On top of seeing the characters in their costumes or, like Hailey, trying on different costumes, the storylines were pretty out there. Season 2’s “Halloween” saw Claire trying to transform the Dunphy house into a haunted house for the trick-or-treaters, Cameron facing a childhood trauma related to the scary holiday, and Manny and Jay teasing Gloria about her accent. Due to the nature of the episode, between the storylines and the Halloween costumes, it seems like it was not easy to film, especially since Vergara blames her on-screen husband Ed O’Neill for breaking character:

Even though Sofia Vergara didn’t admit how long it took to film the episode, it wouldn’t be surprising if it took longer than usual. The fact that it was only the second season and already they were having the time of their lives shows how close they were. It’s fun that the cast has that episode to look back on together and likely many more, even though they did film over 200 episodes.

While “Halloween” was tough to film, the end result was so worth it. The episode was nominated for multiple Emmy Awards, and won for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series. It also became one of the highest-rated episodes of the second season, and it is arguably one of the best Halloween episodes in the entire series. It may have been difficult for the cast to keep it together, but even years after the episode premiered, it’s still being talked about, proving that audiences found it just as funny as the ensemble.

It’s not that she doesn’t believe she could play a scientific mastermind or an ace legal eagle, or that she doesn’t think women who look like her are in fields like that in real life, she simply recognizes that because of her looks she’s not likely to be offered such roles anytime soon. It’s not fair to anyone, but how you look and your perceived general attractiveness does impact how people see you, especially when you work in a relatively appearance-focused career like acting.

Vergara also recently admitted that “my giant boobs and my body” opened a lot of doors for her when she started out as a model and later moved on to acting, and, rightfully said that that fact doesn’t “make me feel bad” because she knows she works “harder than anyone” and has the “personality” to take the necessary risks in her career.

America’s Got Talent judge Sofia Vergara is set to star as the so-called “Cocaine Godmother” in the new crime series Griselda, which will be available to stream with a Netflix subscription on January 25.

This role is a far cry from Modern Family’s Gloria Delgado-Pritchett — the role Sofia Vergara is best known for — however, critics who were able to screen the six-episode miniseries ahead of its release seem to be impressed with the actress’ transformation. Let’s take a look at what they’re saying, starting with GamesRadar’s Megan Garside. The critic gives the series 3.5 stars out of 5, saying it lacks grit but is full of emotion, and Vergara gives a career performance. Garside continues: 

Christina Escobar of RogerEbert.com rates Griselda 2.5 out of 4 stars, saying Sofia Vergara brings star power to her portrayal of the cartel leader, but six hours of her story is a lot to take in. Fans of Narcos and Sons of Anarchy will find plenty to like here, but the critic wonders if the series reinforces negative Latinx stereotypes, writing: 

Daniel Fienberg of THR says Griselda picks and chooses the actual facts of the queen-pin’s life in order to adhere to a tragic underdog narrative of sorts, but the lead actress provides some much-needed steel to what is otherwise an overly soft series. Fienberg says: 

Aramide Tinubu of Variety writes that the entire cast is stellar, particularly Martin Rodriguez as hitman Jorge "Rivi" Ayala-Rivera, and the series works as the story of a woman who becomes a predator after being prey for too long (though she and other critics clarify that Blanco’s story is not made to be aspirational). Tinubu continues: 

Saloni Gajjar of AV Club grades the series a B, saying that Sofia Vergara’s “cutthroat yet tender portrayal” alone makes Griselda worth the watch. However, her performance is the only pleasant surprise the show offers, the critic says, with the rest merely following in Narcos’ footsteps. Gajjar writes: 

Critics seem to have their issues with Griselda overall, but there’s a clear consensus on Sofia Vergara’s transformation into the head of Miami's drug cartel, especially with this part being so different from her Modern Family character and other roles we’ve seen her play in the past. With a highly anticipated and long-awaited new Netflix show set to debut, Sofia Vergara will finally be back in the world of scripted TV for the first time since Modern Family wrapped in 2020. For better or worse, she’ll be promoting the show as a single woman now, having split from former hubby Joe Manganiello in July 2023, and she opened up about the core reason for the divorce, while also reflecting on how much her “giant boobs” were a career booster early on.

Sofia Vergara Reflects On Reason For Joe Manganiello Divorce

This outlook and this self-acceptance may or may not have played a part in her eventual drifting away from Joe Manganiello during their seven-year marriage, but it's important to address that Sofia Vergara doesn't seem to be harboring any major regrets about the way things went. Speaking about her personal life, she confirmed that her lack of interest in becoming a "new" mom in her 50s was a driving factor, saying:

At this point in her life, Sofia Vergara's boobs are no longer in "motherly sustenance" mode, and nor are they in "open professional doors" mode. But they do seem to be something of a bonus for "single woman starting to date again" mode.

However, there seems to be nothing funny about the drama surrounding her latest project Griselda — a dramatized look at Griselda Blanco’s life as a drug queen-pin in Miami — as she and Netflix have been sued by Blanco’s estate.

Griselda Blanco’s adult children have filed a lawsuit as representatives of their late mother's estate, seeking an injunction to stop the Netflix limited series from hitting the 2024 TV schedule as planned on January 25, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ. Sofia Vergara serves as an executive producer on the project, as well as its star, which is likely why she’s named in the suit.

The subject of the miniseries, Griselda Blanco — known as the “Cocaine Godmother,” a prominent drug lord in Miami in the 1970s — was a public figure, and the court filing allegedly doesn’t prohibit her depiction in Griselda. However, the plaintiffs believe that their likenesses and material obtained from interviews are used in the six-episode series without their permission.

According to TMZ, Griselda’s son Michael said he began doing interviews and consultation in 2009 for a series and book based on his family’s story. In 2016, the people he’d been working with on the project reportedly said they’d start shopping the story around. Michael was told that Netflix allegedly had shown interest in developing the story, but the streaming service didn’t want to use the anecdotes and information that Michael had provided. However, the lawsuit claims that Michael has learned Griselda does, in fact, pull from the stories he told without providing him compensation.

Griselda Blanco was gunned down in 2012 at the age of 69 by two assassins on motorcycles. According to authorities after her arrest in 1985, Blanco was estimated to have made billions of dollars in drug money and was thought to have killed hundreds, allegedly including three husbands. She was released from prison in 2004 and moved back to Colombia, where she was killed eight years later.

Sofia Vergara has not spoken out about the legal issues surrounding her upcoming Netflix series, and there’s no indication from the streamer if the lawsuit will be successful in delaying its release. We’ll have to see if the court does indeed file an injunction or if Griselda will premiere as planned. In the meantime, there are plenty of other movies and TV series coming to Netflix in 2024 that can be streamed with a Netflix subscription.

It's hard to believe Entourage ended its eight-season run so long ago, in 2011 (not counting the less-than-well-recieved movie in 2015). For the length of the show, one thing that kept audiences coming back for more each week was the great celebrity cameos. What started as a trickle in the first season, became a flood towards the end, with big stars always showing up, usually with hilarious results. Here is our list of some of the funniest celebrity cameos on Entourage. 

Mark Wahlberg

It makes sense that Mark Wahlberg would be the first cameo on the show, appearing in the very first episode of Season 1. Entourage was (very) loosely based on his experiences in Hollywood as a young actor, and the Boogie Nights star was a producer of the show. 

David Schwimmer

A great thing about the cameos was that often the celebrities weren't afraid to poke a little fun at themselves. Take, for example, David Schwimmer's spot in the Season 6 episode "Running on E." Schwimmer sits in a pitch meeting with super agent Ari Gold's (Jeremy Piven) team and offer after offer is for the Friends star to play some sort of neurotic character for comedic effect. The frustration for Schwimmer is palpable. 

Peter Dinklage

One of the most common tropes on the show was the stars taking potshots at Ari. Ari was a character we all loved to hate, but it turns out most of the celebrities playing themselves also hated Ari. Peter Dinklage is one of those when he trades barbs with Ari at a party in the Season 2 "Sundance Kids."

John Stamos

John Stamos was the perfect type of celeb to show on Entourage. It was always fun to see how a cameo appearance might just be an opportunity to take down lovable loser Johnny Drama (Kevin Dillon). In a bit of a twist, after getting insulted by Stamos a few times, the two play an epic match of ping pong that ends predicably for Drama in the Season 7 episode "Tequila Sunrise." 

Jeffrey Tambor

Jeffrey Tambor plays a jerk like few others can in Hollywood. When he's playing a fictionalized version of himself being to jerk to his kids, it's comedy gold. Fictional life as a jerk and real life have blurred together for Tambor, but his appearance in Season 6 is still really funny. 

Matt Damon

Matt Damon takes charity very seriously, so his cameo on Entourage, in the Season 6 finale, fits perfectly. It's also a rare time that Vince (Adrian Grenier) is the one getting clowned when he tries to dodge both Damon and Bono into giving money to their charity to help children.  

Val Kilmer

Val Kilmer's guest spot on the show is a little different than most on this list. He doesn't play himself, but the role is so brief – and so funny – that it had to be included. In Season 1, the Top Gun: Maverick star plays a "sherpa" living in a giant house in Beverly Hills like a '60s hippie. 

Snoop Dogg

No one brings joy like Snoop Dogg. There is never a time when people are unhappy to see the legendary rapper show up somewhere on TV and Entourage is no exception. The brief interaction between Snoop, Vince, and Eric (Kevin Connolly), partly highlights the confusion of how to pronounce "Cannes" in the Season 4 episode "The Dream Team."

James Cameron

The Season 2 episode "Sundance Kids" really kicked the cameos on the show into overdrive and one of the best of the whole series is James Cameron. Vince is trying to land a role in his Aquaman movie, so Turtle and Drama try to help (and fail). The best part, though, is Cameron's interaction with a barista (played by This Is Us star Chrissy Metz). 

Tom Brady

Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) is a die-hard New York Giants fan, so when he meets Tom Brady at a charity golf tournament, he does what any self-respecting fan would do, he blows him off and refuses to shake his hand. It's brilliant. 

Martin Scorsese

Entourage proved just how big it was for celeb cameos when none other than Martin Scorsese appeared for a brief scene to offer Vince a role in his fictional The Great Gatsby movie in the finale of Season 5. You know you've made it when Scorsese gets involved. 

Scarlett Johansson

Season 1 ends with a big-time star appearance when the one and only Scarlett Johansson cameos on the phone with Vince, after Eric promises him to land a date with the superstar actress. It works, though it's the last time we'd see Johansson on the show. 

Stan Lee

Comic legend Stan Lee became the king of cameos with his iconic moments in the MCU universe for years, a streak that ended with his death in 2018. It's all too appropriate that we include him on this list, not only due to Lee's status as a cameo-king but because his quick role is just so funny as he can't quite place where he's seen Vince's adult film star girlfriend, Sasha Grey, before.

Lamar Odom

Entourage was replete with professional athletes throughout its run. Lamar Odom shows up pretty early in the show's run, in "An Offer Refused" in Season 2. The cameo is notable because of the way Drama gets obsessed with how men's calves look, including Odom's, which understandably freaks the NBA star out. 

Bono

Bono's appearance in the Season 6 finale is brilliant. He only appears via computer screen, as he's on a video call with Matt Damon and teams up with Damon to gang up on Vince to guilt him into getting on board with their charity. It's vintage Bono, pushing a charity but not taking himself as seriously as the world perceives him to be. 

Bobby Flay

Ari being a jerk to someone isn't a surprise, but Ari being a jerk to Bobby Flay is, pardon the pun, pure gold. Flay is great playing himself as the chef at his own restaurant, one of Ari's favorites, but the two bicker before Flay has had enough in the Season 8 episode "Whiz Kid." 

Sofia Vergara

Sofia Vergara's cameo is notable because she's not playing herself. While she herself is perfect for the role as a Colombian actress auditioning for the movie Medellin, it's funny because of how ridiculous the rest of Vince's team reacts to her. The first episode of Season 2 is one of the most unique, and funniest, of the show's run. 

M. Night Shyamalan

M. Night Shyamalan's appearance in the episode "Sorry, Harvey" in Season 4 is classic Entourage. Playing himself, he's angry at Ari for not reading his latest script and confronts the super agent to call him on it. It's the kind of cameo we've come to expect from this show, a major star fighting with Ari. 

Christina Aguilera

The Season 7 finale, "Lose Yourself" is one of the saddest of the show, for a few reasons. One is Ari throwing a lavish party for his wife to keep her from leaving him complete with Christina Aguilera singing "You Are Beautiful," only to have his wife not show.  Aguilera gets mad at Ari (naturally) and demands his Lakers playoffs tickets to keep performing. 

Adrian Peterson

NFL superstar Adrian Peterson selling a dinosaur skull. Is there anything more that needs to be said? The Season 7 episode "Tequila and Coke" has a great moment poking fun at people investing in fossils, and yes, Nic Cage gets a shout-out. 

Zac Efron

It's no surprise that Ari would be trying to steal a client from another agent, but what makes Zac Efron's cameo on Entourage so funny is his interaction with a fan while on the phone with Ari. A mom using her daughter to get Efron's autograph (and pushing for, um, more) is hilarious. 

Kanye West

Vince and his crew have no problem asking anyone for a favor. Kanye West is the victim of one of the most outlandish requests when they beg him for a ride on his private plane to France, even though Ye is headed for London in "No Cannes Do" from Season 4. The rapper is stunned and doesn't hide it, but still, who can turn down Vince? No one, not even Ye.

David Spade

David Spade is the perfect star for a cameo on Entourage. In his, he's got women on both arms and plays a total jerk. While he's surely not a jerk, he somehow has that public perception, which is what makes the cameo so much fun in the Season 8 episode titled "The Big Bang." Spade is just hilarious. 

Phil Mickelson

Phil Mickelson is clearly a good sport. Despite the show taking a shot at the pro golfer's failure at the 2006 U.S. Open, he later agreed to appear on the show, if only to show up Ari. A chance meeting on the golf course between Mickelson, and Kevin Dillon and Jerry Ferrara, led to the role. Kizmet. 

50 Cent

50 Cent makes one of the briefest cameos on the show, but it's one of the best. When he sees Turtle driving, he pulls up alongside and manages to take Turtle down a notch, despite the fancy ride he's driving in. Turtle has a rough time in his birthday episode, "One Car, Two Car, Red Car, Blue Car," from Season 6.

Aaron Sorkin

Aaron Sorkin's first cameo (he made two) on Entourage came in an episode named after him, "The Sorkin Notes" in Season 6. Sorkin is caught up in some drama in Ari's office that he wants no part of and is hilarious in a rare acting role for the writer and director. Now can we get that West Wing revival starring Sterling K. Brown that Sorkin had an idea for, please?

Dean Cain

Another very brief cameo comes from Dean Cain. The former Superman actor disrupts one of Drama's auditions, which crushes Drama, as he figures there's no one he can compete with Cain for the part. It's vintage Johnny Drama in the Season 6 episode "Scared Straight." It's another moment in which you can't help but feel terrible for Drama. 

Eminem

The Season 7 finale, "Lose Yourself," not only foreshadows Vince's downward spiral, but Eminem's cameo. In one of the lowest moments of Vince's life, he first insults Minka Kelly, then gets into a fistfight with Eminem. It's as sad as it is funny, a line the show walked brilliantly in the episode. 

Alex Rodriguez

How tragic would be to hear that you lost out on a ton of money from former Yankee Alex Rodriguez? That's what happens to Turtle when the shortstop-turned-third-baseman shows up on screen to tell Turtle that the tequila company he once owned a lot of stock in went public after he sold out. Ouch. 

Steve Nash

Poor Steve Nash. The NBA star was at the height of his fame when he was unwittingly cornered by Eric at his manager's office (Scott Caan). Eric dumps all of his girlfriend problems on the Canadian basketball player's feet in the Season 6 episode "Murphy's Lie," and all Nash can do is look stunned. 

Johnny Galecki

Johnny Galecki's role in Entourage was a little more than one cameo, it was more like three cameos over three episodes and he plays a fictionalized version of himself who makes Eric's life hell by dating Eric's ex-girlfriend Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui). This version of Galecki is terrible but completely hilarious. 

Jessica Simpson

As Ari tries to protect his client base, he's forced to go hat in hand to a client who's mad at him for not caring when her dog died. Jessica Simpson meets Ari at the door in "Bottoms Up" from Season 7, and in classic Entourage fashion, makes Ari look like the jerk that he is, despite his insincere attempt to gift another dog to Simpson. It sums up everything a great Entourage cameo should be. A big star, an unrepentant Ari, and some choice lines. 

This is a list that could be almost endless, and we didn't even get into the multiple cameos in the Entourage movie, one of which featured Channing Tatum that didn't actually happen. 

The Modern Family cast seems to have remained close, despite the popular ABC sitcom airing its last episode more than three years ago. We specifically know that Julie Bowen has been keeping tabs on her TV stepmom, as she’s shared updates and big compliments for Sofia Vergara amid her divorce from Joe Manganiello, and now we have proof that the gang has been hanging out in person. The America’s Got Talent judge shared some photos of a reunion with former co-stars Bowen and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and I can’t stop laughing at Ferguson’s response.

Sofia Vergara played Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on Modern Family, stepmother to Julie Bowen’s Claire and Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s Mitchell, and they looked every bit a happy family as they gathered for a reunion of sorts in Vergara’s extravagant closet. Vergara shared the adorable moment on Instagram: 

Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s husband Justin Mikita also joined the former co-stars, looking nothing short of delighted over Sofia Vergara’s shoe collection. While Julie Bowen admitted in the comments that she had found her “new happy place,” it was Ferguson’s response that slayed me, as he wrote: 

Leave it to Jesse Tyler Ferguson to make an A+ joke about being in the closet! The Tony Award winner — who has been married to Justin Mikita for 10 years — made a huge impact on pop culture as Mitchell Pritchett, who was married to Eric Stonestreet’s Cameron Tucker on Modern Family. That kind of LGBTQ+ representation on network TV was a big deal back in 2009 when the series premiered.

Many fellow Instagram users seemed to appreciate the humor as well, with the comment generating more than 31,000 likes, and lots of fans responded with their own amused reactions:

Honestly, if you’re going to be stuck in any closet, Sofia Vergara’s isn’t a bad one to choose. I love seeing the former co-stars coming together, especially in light of Vergara and Joe Manganiello divorcing after seven years. The actress has said she’s “lucky” to have so many good friends who have made sure she’s still having fun in her life, especially during these times of change.

This wasn’t the first time that some of the Modern Family cast members have come together since the show ended after 11 seasons. Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara were also present last year when Sarah Hyland married Bachelor in Paradise bartender Wells Adams in a ceremony officiated by Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Nolan Gould and Ariel Winter also attended what was basically a Modern Family cast reunion.

Fans don’t have to wait until the next wedding or closet gathering (?) to see the Modern Family gang, as all 11 seasons of the beloved sitcom are available for streaming either with a Hulu subscription or Peacock subscription. It’s one of the least excitable points of any given year for an America’s Got Talent fan, as we’re just two weeks out from Adrian Stoica and his pup Hurricane pulling off a surprise victory in the Season 18 finale, meaning we’re about as far away from new episodes as can be. (And some viewers are still miffed about that outcome, which Simon Cowell defended.) Thankfully, the NBC hit’s judges can still be counted on to make headlines between seasons, and Howie Mandel appears to be going all-in on playing matchmaker for co-star Sofia Vergara amidst her divorce from Joe Manganiello. And it doesn’t sound like she’s mad about it, either.

As AGT viewers are probably aware, at least if they regularly tuned into Season 18’s live installments, Mandel started making direct appeals during episodes for someone to catch Vergara’s attention, even if the first “in the market” reference he made was directed at one of 12-year-old ventriloquist Brynn Cummings’ puppets. Not the mostly likely suitor for…well…anyone, but Vergara was totally tickled by it at the time, and appeared to keep that same bemused reaction when similar comments were made in later eps. 

Howie Mandel joked about making that his mission at the time, and provided People with the update that he’s not pulling back on assisting Vergara in attaining a new and encouraging romance. He first explained why he’s so invested, saying: 

Not everyone can boast a famous-for-decades comedian co-worker as a dedicated and engaged matchmaker, but then not everyone is Sofia Vergara. And to be quite frank, I can imagine that there are tons of people out there who wouldn’t want a colleague donning the matchmaker hat. I can name plenty of people I wouldn’t ever want to have those responsibilities. 

But it sounds like Vergara hasn’t caused a stink with Mandel over his efforts, which don’t exactly appear to be subtle in nature. He continued:

It’s definitely a net positive that Sofia Vergara isn’t perturbed by Howie Mandel’s attempts, and also that he isn’t holding himself up as her best option for a future husband. The comedian has been married to wife Terry Soil since 1980, so any hypothetical flirtations would have been weird on multiple levels.

That said, I think the longtime AGT judge is going about it all wrong. Screaming from rooftops? How many reputable bachelors can one possibly run into while on top of a roof? 1 or 2, maybe 3. But it seems to me like it’d be one of the least optimal places for Mandel to try out his courting skills. 

Mandel, who ranked among our Top 15 game show hosts of all time, has his work cut out for him, as it’ll likely take a very special someone to inspire Vergara to enter a serious relationship again, especially before all the divorce details have been finalized. 

While America’s Got Talent proper will be back presumably next fall, the franchise is moving forward in early 2024 with a new spinoff that’ll replace Vergara with Spice Girls vet and former AGT judge Mel B, so that should make it a little more difficult for Mandel to set the Modern Family vet up. 

Life is full of ups and downs, and it seems like Sofia Vergara has experienced a bit of both this year. The actress, who just completed her fourth season as a judge on America’s Got Talent, has apparently been loving life, despite the sad news that she and Joe Manganiello decided this summer to divorce after seven years of marriage. Vergara recently opened up about her rollercoaster of a year, with the sentiment that “bad things happen and good things happen.”

Seeing your marriage come to an end is likely never easy, and Sofia Vergara had the unique experience of appearing on live television for AGT’s 18th season — which just crowned Adrian Stoica and Hurricane as its champion — as the news of her impending divorce from Magic Mike actor Joe Manganiello broke. She admitted to ET that it’s been an “interesting” time in her life, saying: 

The True Blood actor filed for divorce from Sofia Vergara in July, with insiders saying they had been living separate lives for about a year already at that point. Joe Manganiello cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. Vergara reportedly enjoys going out with friends, while her now-estranged husband prefers to stay at home, and they realized they aren’t often on the same page, according to sources. 

There are also rumors that children may have played into the decision to end their marriage, with Joe Manganiello allegedly wanting to be a father and the Modern Family actress not wanting to commit to that. Despite the breakup, Sofia Vergara had nothing negative to say about her situation, continuing: 

I love that Sofia Vergara seems to be looking at the good things to come, rather than wallowing in the end of her marriage (since wallowing would be a completely understandable and justifiable reaction). In fact, the America’s Got Talent judge called herself “lucky” to be able to have so much fun with her friends amid the split. Over the past few months, Vergara has attended concerts by Beyoncé and Karol G, as well as Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, so it’s hard to disagree with her perspective!

She even referenced her relationship status on AGT, announcing she was single when a contestant made a funny slip during his act. Howie Mandel also got in on the fun, joking that his fellow judge was on the market, which led to the best reaction from Sofia Vergara. When fans expressed that it was “too soon” for the comedian to be making comments like that about her divorce, Mandel even doubled down on his “in the market” perspective, pointing out that she had loved the joke and saying he’d never do anything to hurt her.

It’s great to see Sofia Vergara have such a healthy perspective amid the huge change she’s going through with Joe Manganiello right now, and it seems like she’s got a lot of support from her friends and colleagues during this time too. Hopefully things can continue on this path for all parties involved.

While Joe Manganiello is chiefly known as an actor who’s starred in projects like Magic Mike, True Blood and Zack Snyder’s Justice League, lately he’s been in the news lately due his divorce from America Got Talent judge Sofia Vergara. Though the media coverage on their separation doesn’t look to be dying down on their separation, in an ironic twist of fate, now they have something in common. It’s been announced that Manganiello has landed his own NBC show, though in this case, he’ll be filling the role of game show host.

The man who brought Flash Thompson to life in 2002’s Spider-Man has been tapped to host Deal or No Deal Island, a spinoff of the original Deal or No Deal where, as described in the official synopsis, “13 players are transported to the elusive Banker’s private island to compete for cash in a season-long, fully immersive competition.” NBC unveiled Manganiello’s involvement with the help of Howie Mandel, Vergara’s fellow America Got Talent judge who hosted Deal or No Deal in both the United States and Canada. As Mandel fully admits in the video, given that he’s a germaphobe, hosting a game show set on an island isn’t in his wheelhouse. Enter Joe Manganiello, who fits Mandel’s criteria of being adventurous, loving games, is good-looking and, yes, not your average Joe… man, that was a rough pun. Mandel ensured that Manganiello is properly to host Deal or No Deal Island by filling that briefcase he gave him with plane tickets, masks, gloves and an “inner thigh.” Manganiello caps off the video by declaring that he, everyone else involved in the spinoff and the audience are “going to have a good time.”

Corie Henson, NBCUniversal Entertainment's Executive Vice President of Unscripted Content, gave the following statement about Joe Manganiello being selected to host Deal or No Deal Island:

Deal or No Deal Island was announced back in May, with the spinoff being said to be a mix of its predecessor and Survivor. The spinoff will combine the classic Deal or No Deal game with “thrilling challenges” and “mind-bending” dilemmas as they try to beat the Banker. Manganiello will guide things along by “leading the game play, relaying the Banker’s tempting offers and helping them through the toughest decisions of their lives.” 

The trademark Deal or No Deal briefcases are hidden throughout the island and contain millions of dollars split between them. However, each episode, players will have a chance to score what’s described as the “highest-value briefcase” for a chance to “gain immunity” and choose a fellow player to enter The Temple, where they will play a classic, high stakes Deal or No Deal game. By the end of the season, the last player around will “face the Banker to potentially win the biggest prize in Deal or No Deal history.”

Deal or No Deal Island will premiere sometime in 2024 on NBC. Meanwhile, for those with their eyes planted firmly on the 2023 TV schedule, watch judges Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel, Simon Cowell and Heidi Klum, as well as host Terry Crews, in the America’s Got Talent Season 18 finale when it airs tonight at 9 pm ET. Spoilers ahead for the fourth week of qualifiers results of America's Got Talent Season 18.

Wednesday nights during the later weeks of America's Got Talent generally mean host Terry Crews finding ways to fill an hour in between occasionally narrowing down the competitors who will make it to the finals, and the latest live results episode saw Crews putting judge Sofia Vergara in the hot seat... that is, Sonic's Tot Seat! Vergara had to strap on a lie detector on live TV and answer questions posed by her fellow judges. Simon Cowell asked the big one about whether she prefers working on AGT or Modern Family, and she had to answer! 

Vergara was chosen for The Tot Seat by popular demand, and her fellow judges took turns asking questions sent in by AGT fans. Cowell asked "Is Simon always right?" The Modern Family alum said "Yes," but Wendy the lie detector specialist said that was a lie. Vergara passed the test when she named Howie Mandel as who she thinks the smartest judge is, but was called out for lying when she said "yes" to Heidi Klum's question of whether Cowell was like a "sweet little puppy dog."

At this point, Cowell abandoned the fan questions and pretty hilariously asked whether she'd push him or Howie Mandel off a cliff. Vergara said Howie, but the lie detector results said differently! Heidi Klum asked if she'd ever pretended to be sick to get out of work, and all the reactions really made me wonder if she's referring to a specific instance. Cowell finally asked the kicker: "Do you prefer working on America's Got Talent or Modern Family?" Well, there was really only one answer that she could give, saying:

Of course Sofia Vergara was going to say that she prefers working on the show she was actually on when asked the question, but my favorite part was how nervous she looked while waiting for Wendy to declare whether it was the truth or not. Wendy did ultimately say that Vergara was telling the truth, to what appeared to be the judge's relief. All in all, it was a fun time for fans to watch Vergara in The Tot Seat! 

Howie Mandel followed up by asking if there's "anyone in the audience tonight that you're interested in" to continue his streak after his recent joke about Sofia Vergara's divorce from Joe Manganiello, which some fans thought was way too soon. Vergara has been a good sport about it, even after a funny "Viagra" slip from a contestant a couple weeks ago. While in The Tot Seat, however, she simply said "That's it" and was ready to step down from the tater tot-themed chair. 

Of course, lie detector tests aren't 100% reliable even under the best of circumstances and controlled environments, let alone when a celebrity is put on the spot in front of a huge crowd while sitting in a tater tot-themed chair on stage, so it's hard to blame Sofia Vergara for appearing nervous about any of the questions. Plus, she originally seemed to wish that Modern Family could last longer than its eleven seasons, and has reunited with cast members in the time since the hit ABC sitcom ended.

Season 18 of America’s Got Talent is in full swing, with those who made it past the auditions taking the stage for a second time in the qualifiers round in hopes of making it to the final for a chance at the $1 million prize and a Las Vegas stage show. Nobody said the journey was going to be easy, though, and after the shocking elimination of a Golden Buzzer winner on top of what some AGT fans feel is an uptick in red X appearances, Howie Mandel has addressed accusations that he and the other judges — Simon Cowell, in particular — have gotten “more harsh.”

Howie Mandel shared his thoughts on why he, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara have been hitting their buzzers so often during the live qualifier shows, after social media users pointed out that these were performers they’d already seen and advanced in the competition. The comedian told Parade: 

His explanation makes sense, and there are a number of reasons a contestant might fall out of favor between the auditions and the qualifiers — including if they’re not able to up the ante from what the judges and audience have already seen. It’s also fair for Howie Mandel to point out that if they start to lose interest in an act, others watching at home or online might feel the same way.

It certainly hasn’t been easy for the Season 18 performers. Of the first 22 acts to take the stage in the qualifiers round, only four were sent through to the final. While Simon Cowell is accustomed to getting booed by the audience for his sometimes-blunt assessments, fellow judge Sofia Vergara accused him of being “the Grinch” during a recent episode when he offered harsher criticism than his cohorts on singer Summer Rios.

Whether Howie Mandel and the rest have been a little buzzer-happy recently (consciously or otherwise), there’s still been plenty of praise to go around when it comes to the often-emotional performances, and particularly for Season 18’s Golden Buzzer winners.

Simon Cowell had only the highest of compliments for 17-year-old singer Putri Ariani, after he requested a second song during her audition, and his kind words continued in the qualifiers round, when he said contestants like her were the reason he kept coming back to the show. (No matter how blunt he gets, I doubt anything Cowell does on AGT will be as bad as the allegedly fake rudeness of American Idol’s early seasons).

We’ll have to tune in to see if Howie Mandel and Simon Cowell continue to hit their red buzzers an unusual amount for the remainder of the live qualifiers. America’s Got Talent continues at 8 p.m. ET Tuesday and Wednesday on Fox and can be streamed with a Peacock Premium subscription. 

With all the talented performances she witnesses on a weekly basis as part of the judging quartet at the heart of America’s Got Talent, one might think Sofia Vergara wouldn’t be as quick to also spend her free time watching on-stage acts, but she’s clearly a fan of live music. Amid her divorce from Joe Manganiello, which was publicly disclosed back in mid-July, the Modern Family vet has been quite the concert-hound, with Beyoncé’s L.A. shows serving as her latest concert experience. In light of all the recent good times, Vergara opened up about being so “lucky” to have people around her making sure she continues to have fun in her life. 

Vergara and her fellow AGT judges went through the third night of qualifying rounds this week, with the results going live on Wednesday night, and she was still buzzing about Bey’s latest Los Angeles performance when talking to Entertainment Tonight. With her social media feed depicting more “dancing in concert audience” pics than usual, she confirmed that her recent ventures are indeed outside the norm, saying: 

To be expected, Vergara sounded extremely impressed by everything she witnessed at Queen B's show, from the Grammy winner's outfits to her song choices to appearances from Beyoncé and Jay-Z's daughter Blue Ivy Carter. I'm guessing both the mother and offspring would get all the Golden Buzzers if they appeared on AGT. 

When she was asked about the heightened frequency of live music experiences, Sofia Vergara graciously gave her nearest and dearest the credit for getting her out and about. In her words:

To be sure, Vergara hasn’t ever really been much of a homebody — she was out on an Italian vacation when her divorce news broke — and it’s rumored that her lust for life and fun experiences was a hurdle in her relationship with Joe Manganiello, who is allegedly more prone to hanging out with friends around the house, playing RPG games. This supposedly led to them spending more time apart as time went on, and it seems like their respective behavior patterns have stayed fairly intact.

Autocorrect can cause some pretty funny mishaps, and Ahren Belisle had one of those moments while competing on America’s Got Talent. He has cerebral palsy and is non-verbal, so he uses voice-to-text to perform his stand-up. During the qualifiers, he took the stage and joked about how people react to him having CP, his service dog fetching the things he needs, including a girlfriend, and more. However, one of the most memorable moments from the performance came when he made a typo and misspelled Sofia Vergara’s name while asking his dog to get him a girlfriend. However, the actress, who is in the midst of a divorce from Joe Manganiello, took the joke in stride and leaned into it, quipping about how she was newly “single.” 

After asking his dog to fetch him a beer during his AGT set, Belisle told him to “fetch me a girlfriend,” while pointing at the judges' table. The dog didn’t move, and he told the pup he was ruining the set, then the slip came as he said:

You can see him look a bit shocked when he realized what autocorrect did, but Vergara happily played along, yelling:

After he finished his performance, Vergara and Howie Mandel gave Ahren Belisle a standing ovation, and the actress noted how much she loved his set and his attitude about life. Then, Heidi Klum asked her if she’d ever been called “Sofia Viagra” before, and the Modern Family alum said, again:

These single comments come about a month after news broke that she and Joe Manganiello were getting a divorce after seven years together. While this news is still fresh, it appears that she’s fine with joking about her new single status. Also, reports have alleged that while she is sad her relationship ended, the actress is feeling “fortunate,” and there’s reportedly “no drama” between her and her ex-husband. 

She had such a great sense of humor about the little slip, and overall her being a bit flirtatious with the stand-up comedian made the moment even funnier. You can see how they both acted and Ahren Blisle's entire set here:

This isn’t the first time Sofia Vergara’s semi-new single status has been used as a punch line on America’s Got Talent. Last week, Howie Mandel cracked a joke about her and how she’s “in the market right now.” While no one really knew how to react to the quip, considering the news about Vergara’s divorce is still relatively new, the actress had a great reaction, and she cracked up over the comedian’s comment.

Then, Mandel doubled down on the “in the market” joke. While some thought the quip was made “too soon,” the long-time judge said Vergara found it funny, and he explained that he “wouldn’t do anything to hurt a fellow – a friend first, and a fellow co-worker.” Based on Vergara’s own “single” comments during Belisle’s latest set, it really does seem like she has a good sense of humor about all of this, and she doesn’t mind cracking a joke or two about being single.

America’s Got Talent is in the middle of its qualifying rounds, and it will continue to air on the 2023 TV schedule every Tuesday and Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. After friends apparently started sending her articles that claimed she only ate 900 calories per day, she first took to Instagram to deny ever counting calories, before explaining why she felt the need to speak out. Klum told ET: 

She makes a good point, because who wouldn’t want to look like Heidi Klum? If people think she’s reducing her caloric intake that severely, others might try to make such changes in their own diets. Her fellow America’s Got Talent co-stars came to her defense, too.

As NBC was busy airing its numerous weeks of America’s Got Talent audition rounds, star judge Sofia Vergara and now former hubby Joe Manganiello revealed that they’re heading for divorce after seven years of marriage. She’s reportedly doing okay with everything in the aftermath, and trying to keep a positive attitude. And she certainly seemed to exude such vibes whenever Howie Mandel rather quickly joked about her being “single” in the competition series’ return to live eps for the Qualifiers, though it didn’t stop some fans from calling him out for going there already. Ever the comedian, Mandel responded by amusingly doubling down on his initial comments.

During the episode, Howie Mandel quipped to 12-year-old ventriloquist Brynn Cummings, whose act involved a female puppet looking for a boyfriend, that his co-judge Sofia Vergara would have advice about eligible bachelors, since she’s “in the market right now.” The moment could have easily landed with a dull thud, and AGT’s Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell weren’t about to engage in that subject matter, but Vergara herself was clearly amused by the off-handed divorce reference. Which is probably why Mandel felt free to lean into his joke even more when talking to Extra about viewers who weren’t so approving. In his words: 

Would it be amusing and slightly disturbing if Vergara went all in on agreeing with Mandel’s thoughts, and tried getting some girl time alone with the puppet in order to share dating advice? Absolutely on both counts. But we (probably) don’t need to worry about things reaching that level, unless wayyy too much alcohol is involved.

Howie Mandel joked that anyone watching the interview should send their romantic suggestions into the show, but when asked who he thought she’d be a great match for, the Gremlins vet became more sincere in saying Vergara didn’t need his input when it comes to finding new love. He continued: 

Naturally, that sincere approach was dropped immediately, as Mandel joked that Vergara should find a match before the end of the current America's Got Talent season, so that they could have audiences vote on what the outcome would be. Considering how many people attain celebrity status by looking for love on reality TV shows, it only makes sense for there to be more shows that feature already established celebrities gamifying their own lovelives. Not that this should be an instance where that's put into practice, or that it should ever be put into practice. But expect Howie Mandel to sign on to EP that project if it comes into existence.

Season 18 of America's Got Talent is heating up now that the qualifiers round has begun in the 2023 TV schedule, and the first post-audition episode delivered something that might not have made it to the airwaves if the broadcast wasn't live on NBC. When the judges were giving feedback to young ventriloquist Brynn Cummings, Howie Mandel seized the opportunity to crack a joke about Sofia Vergara's divorce from Joe Manganiello, and Vergara – sitting with just one seat separating her from Mandel – had an iconic reaction.

12-year-old Brynn Cummings' ventriloquist act for the qualifiers involved one of her puppets looking for a new boyfriend after a breakup, and she recruited Heidi Klum's help. Afterward, Howie Mandel said this to the young performer: 

It was a clear reference to her divorce from Joe Manganiello, and the crowd didn't seem to know whether or not to laugh. Simon Cowell started looking around the room, and Heidi Klum seemed to not want to look in any direction other than straight ahead. For his part, host Terry Crews immediately started saying "No! No, we are not doing that here!" and then tried to move the judging along. Sofia Vergara's reaction was the best, as she immediately cracked up at the joke and lifted her arms with a big smile of acknowledgment. What could have been extremely awkward was pretty funny instead!

This isn't the first time that Howie Mandel has poked fun at his fellow judges' personal lives on America's Got Talent, including when he roasted Simon Cowell for breaking his back during an incident with an electric bike. Like Sofia Vergara, Cowell laughed at the joke at the time. When you sit at a table for hours on end with a professional comic, maybe you just have to be ready for anything! For her part, Vergara told the beautiful story of Joe Manganiello's proposal on AGT a couple of seasons ago. 

News that the Modern Family alum was splitting with her husband of seven years broke back in mid-July, and a usual reason was cited for why it was happening. Not too long after, she was said to be feeling very fortunate about the life she loves even if she was also sad about the end of her marriage, although she didn't publicly comment in her own words. The paperwork for the divorce filing revealed what she was aiming to keep independently after their split (including jewelry, artwork, and earnings), but there was apparently no argument over whether Vergara or Manganiello would keep custody of their dog. 

Whether Sofia Vergara was genuinely amused by Howie Mandel's comment or just being a good sport is hard to say, but she definitely had a fun reaction to the joke about her divorce on America's Got Talent. Among the higher-profile Hollywood divorces currently at play, from Kevin Costner’s split with Christine Baumgartner to Britney Spears and Sam Asghario’s rapidly imploding relationship, one of the less dramatic partings has been that of Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello. While the rumor mill pointed to the issues that likely led to the impending divorce, the situation is seemingly being handled with amicability. And someone who excels at being amicable is Modern Family vet Julie Bowen, who shared both updates and compliments about her former co-star.

And fans would no doubt love to see Vergara casually partying down with Julie Bowen at some point, even if their fictional beaus are nowhere around. The voice actress would apparently love for that to be the case as well, although she verbally bowed down to Vergara as being the far more qualified dancing queen of the two, saying:

Now I kinda need to see the Colombian actress slow-rolling her hip as she goes through her normal daily life, even if further dancing isn’t overtly involved. And then her movements could inspire others to join in, and then it becomes this giant, city-spanning conga line of people slow-rolling their hips hypnotically as they move forward. Perhaps the two Modern Family vets can hit the dance floor whenever Vergara’s upcoming crime drama Griselda, which will be her first major scripted role following her many years as Gloria Pratchett. It’s set to hit streaming at some point in late 2023 for those with Netflix subscriptions, so keep an eye out for that one. Meanwhile, Julie Bowen’s voicework can be heard as the loving mom in Disney Channel’s fun and funny animated series Hailey’s On It, which can be streamed with a Disney+ subscription. 

Divorces can get messy as a couple works to split up their assets and figure out custody for children and pets. However, when it comes to Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello’s divorce, some of these negotiations have reportedly gone quite smoothly. This was apparently the case when it came to their dog Bubbles, as they came to an agreement about her allegedly without arguing. 

The America’s Got Talent judge noted her requests to keep jewelry, art, earnings and more recently. However, when it comes to their dog, she apparently is more than willing to give her ex-husband full custody. Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello apparently agreed that Bubbles, their 10-year-old Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix, would stay with the Magic Mike star according to The Daily Mail. Per this report, the Modern Family alum “graciously” made this agreement too, as an insider claimed:

The source then went on to say the decision was reportedly easily made, and they didn’t argue over it at all. They also claimed that Vergara has been very kind in this section of the negotiations, as they said:

While Vergara adopted the dog, the article made it very clear that Bubbles and Manganiello are much closer. It noted that the True Blood star would take the pup with him everywhere. An insider explained:

This insider also claimed that if the dog could speak she would only want to stay with Manganiello. Vergara joked on The Ellen Show two years ago that she doesn’t have a dog, “Joe has a dog.” She also humorously said, “[Bubbles] has taken everything that was mine.” The actress made sure to note on tha talk show that it was not her ex-husband’s fault, the dog is simply “obsessed with him.” 

Overall, it seems like this divorce is playing out fairly peacefully. Vergara apparently “feels very fortunate,” even though she’s sad the marriage didn’t work out. It’s also been claimed that there is really “no drama” between the two, despite rumors that Manganiello’s career path hurt their relationship. 

In the case of their dog Bubbles, it seems like their divorce is moving along relatively smoothly. They reportedly came to this agreement with no agrument, and as more news comes out about how their split will affect their lives moving forward, we’ll be sure to keep you updated.

It's possible the initial prenup agreement was vague about how personal items and certain financial details would be handled in the event of a split. Couples in love don't always take the time early on to hammer out endless specifics by way of prenups, so this could be a case where Vergara felt that the wording was vague enough that her jewelry, art, and more might be construed as being Manganiello's property.

Elsewhere in the paperwork, Sofia Vergara noted that she wanted spousal support details to be determined by the agreement. As well, the pair's communical property will be split up accordingly, with both celebs agreeing to foot the bill for their own legal fees. 

The break-up announcement and divorce filing took place as Sofia Vergara was on an Italian vacation, and the days since have been peppered with varying reports on what may or may not have led to their marriage dissolving. Some rumors have pointed to his lackluster film career as of late having caused some tension, as Manganiello is reportedly more keen on staying around the house and playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends, while Vergara loves to go out and about, whether it's local shopping and partying or vacationing around the globe.

Whatever the causes may be, Sofia Vergara is reportedly sad about things not working out, but isn't letting it keep her down. She spent some of the past week in Tampa Bay, where she appeared on the Home Shopping Network to advertise her sunscreen and skincare line Toty, as seen below.

Fans are still waiting on her to hit her golden buzzer in Season 18, and I for one am very curious after her success with the Mayyas in 2022.

Rumors have swirled regarding her upcoming divorce from Joe Manganiello, after reports that the split is due to Vergara not wanting more children and the two living different lives. She has one son from her first marriage, and Manganiello has no children. Sources have stated that Vergara feels "fortunate" despite her marriage not working out, and the actress certainly didn't let the news breaking stop her from donning a swimsuit to enjoy her vacation.

But as CinemaBlend previously reported, their couplehood was allegedly marred by Joe Manganiello’s career path in recent years, as he became more of a homebody who enjoyed staying in, while Vergara is all about traveling and getting out to have a good time. 

Given that they were reportedly spending more time apart due to those differing interests, she was at least able to continue living life to the fullest, as opposed to being pressured into staying at home with him all the time. Thus making the post-relationship transition that much easier to deal with, at least theoretically. It probably also helps to be living in the same home and having that familiarity as comfort. It’s unclear where Manganiello is currently living, but hopefully he’s doing as well as can be also.

Season 18 of America's Got Talent has been going strong in the 2023 TV schedule, but the hit NBC show took a break from the fresh auditions to go on a blast to Simon Cowell's past. Cowell has been a judge on both America's Got Talent and Britain's Got Talent, and he teamed up with Terry Crews for "Simon's Most Memorable Auditions" to revisit the most unforgettable auditions that he's witnessed. There were some who made Cowell's ranking that I definitely didn't expect, and while it was a fun way to spend two hours on a Tuesday evening, I'm left still wondering about when Sofia Vergara will hit her Season 18 golden buzzer.

Simon Cowell's Most Memorable Auditions

Simon Cowell goes way back in the Got Talent franchise, as creator and executive producer as well as judge for America's Got Talent and Britain's Got Talent. Most of his picks for the Top 16 most memorable auditions were performers from AGT rather than BGT, but his picks for #1 and #2 were both from the British side of the pond. Take a look:

Early on in the episode, Cowell told Terry Crews that he'd ranked sixteen auditions rather than just fifteen because he just couldn't narrow it down any further, and he certainly picked a variety of acts! If you'd told me last year that Ben "The Parmesan Cheese Song" Lapidus would have ended up on a list of Simon Cowell picking things he liked, I might not have believed it! Ashleigh & Pudsey were less surprising, given Cowell's love of dog acts, and I don't think any Got Talent fan on either side of the pond could dispute Susan Boyle as the most unforgettable.

Several of those who made Cowell's list were also golden buzzer winners, which just reminded me that Sofia Vergara has yet to hit her buzzer for an act who could become America's Got Talent's next champion. Her choice of Mayyas for Season 17 certainly paid off, as they were the winners!

Where Is Sofia Vergara's Golden Buzzer? 

AGT Season 18 has delivered five golden buzzers so far: Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Terry Crews all hit theirs, and the group banded together to all hit the button for Mzansi Youth Choir in the premiere. Sofia Vergara just hasn't hit hers yet, even after two moms' performance of a Wicked song moved her and Klum to tears last week. Is this because Vergara was being discerning about choosing who she'd want to advance all the way to the live shows? Or was her pick such a showstopper that AGT wants to save it for the very last auditions episode? 

We can only speculate at the time of writing, but after seeing the original Mayyas audition again as part of Simon Cowell's picks for the most memorable, I'm more ready than ever to see who Vergara hits her golden buzzer for in Season 18. There are still two more episodes of auditions on NBC's schedule, so at least one more episode will air without any golden buzzer being hit unless the judges bend the rules again. I'm just not sure why AGT aired the Simon Cowell special episode now instead of after finishing the auditions!

As America’s Got Talent is in the midst of airing its batch of pre-recorded audition episodes, with the latest installment bringing Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara to tears, the latter is now known to be heading for a divorce from her husband of seven years, Joe Manganiello. The pair released a shared statement noting the split, with the Magic Mike franchise vet officially filing for divorce days later. Several rumors have floated around in the time since, with many pointing to the notion that Vergara was the more unsatisfied of the two, and a new report singles in on the idea that she didn’t feel supported, with her expectations about their future dashed by his career moves. 

Joe Manganiello offered up the reason of “irreconcilable differences” when filling out divorce paperwork, and some of the reported differences have been broached by sources allegedly close to the celebs. According to PageSix, the couple's relationship soured in ways due to Vergara allegedly feeling "stifled" by someone she considered to be a "largely unsupportive partner" in Manganiello. As well, it's claimed that the narrowing of his career path over the years was another factor, with one insider saying:

Ahead of their marriage, Manganiello was riding high from a popular run on HBO's True Blood on top of the two (at the time) Magic Mike films, and was forever attached to Deathstroke rumors regarding DC's live-action films. He's certainly been a part of some wins during their years together, from Rampage to Jay and Silent Bob Reboot to a bunch of TV cameos in shows like Big Bang Theory and Star Wars Resistance. But Big Dick Richie's return didn't help save 2023's Magic Mike's Last Dance from meh reactions, and the actor's latest TV-starring gig — the sci-fi thriller series Moonhaven — was cancelled by AMC+ after the service had already renewed it for Season 2 several months prior.

Neither of those instances can be blamed on Manganiello, of course, but his filmography is also littered with projects heavily tied to role-playing games, such as Critial Role, the video game Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance, CelebriD&D and more. The actor's penchant for having celeb-infused game nights, combined with his alleged preference to stay around the house, was previously noted as being a cause of strife between him and Vergara, with the Modern Family vet being far more eager to go out on the town and on vacations regularly.

On the flip side, another rumor circulating pointed to the sober actor taking issue with Sofia Vergara's non-sober living, but that rumor is reportedly all fluff according to Page Six. Those close to the couple claim that his sobriety and thoughts about substance abuse did not extend in a judgmental way when it comes to Vergara's social drinking.

For all that fans may believe that Hollywood celebs lead perfect and ever-happy lives,  all it usually takes is a hectic divorce situation to flip that outlook. Hopefully things remain totally positive and friendly for Joe Manganiello and Sofia Vergara, who recently announced they've split up after seven years of marriage, with the Magic Mike actor officially filing for divorce on July 19. The paperwork was filed with one of the more standard reasonings listed — irreconcilable differences — and now some of the alleged details behind those differences are making the rounds. 

Different Ideas About Having Children

According to TMZ, one of the underlying issues behind Manganiello and Vergara's split is the topic of children. It's said that he desires to be a father and have kids, while that's not something she wants to commit to. 

For what it’s worth, Sofia Vergara does already have a son, Manolo, who was born in 1991, when she was still married to her first husband, Joe Gonzalez, whom she divorced in 1993. Manganiello does not have any children from prior relationships. 

The fact that the former couple didn’t have kids together does make the divorce proceedings easier to deal with, since there aren’t any custody issues to parse through. But that presumably wouldn’t be much of a silver lining if that reasoning is indeed legit. 

Vergara And Manganiello Allegedly Lead Different Lives Now

Thankfully, the rumors and reports out there seem to be in agreement as far as Manganiello and Vergara still getting along and being cordial with one another. But US Weekly points out that they've more or less been on two different wavelengths for quite a while, and no longer have shared interests when it comes to leisure time. According to the outlet's source:

Anyone who has a particular taste for role-playing games may already be aware of Joe Manganiello's celebrity-friendly game nights centered around Dungeons & Dragons campaigns. The actor is way more into chilling at home with some D&D, which he's also worked with in several official capacities outside of playing it himself (including an attempt at a movie), than going out and about.

Meanwhile, Sofia Vergara is said to be much a much more social person who enjoys taking trips and hanging out with friends, as evidenced by her swimsuit pics from her Italian vacation. (Which she was on when the divorce news went public, so take from that what you will.) It sounds as if she was free to go off and do her thing, while he was content to hang out around the house, but that it caused them to drift apart more on a permanent basis.

Here's noping nothing goes down on the road to divorce that causes a nastier rift to form between them. But since it's noted that there's a prenup in place that neither one of them is angling to contest, that should help make it as smooth a process as can be. This week, one of Hollywood's most photo-friendly couples, America's Got Talent judge Sofia Vergara and Magic Mike standout Joe Manganiello, sadly revealed they're heading for divorce after seven years of marriage. It appears to be going smoothly and amicably, without much strife seemingly involved, even as Vergara was in the midst of an Italian vacation. She took to social media to show off how things are going in the final stretch, and stunned fans with a stellar blue bathing suit that I'm sure many would agree was a snazzier look than any of the picturesque scenery around her in Ravello. Her Modern Family co-star Julie Bowen would likely be in that same camp, judging by her sign of approval.

The day after her divorce news made the rounds, Vergara took to Instagram to prove to her followers that "yes, I'm drinking water in a nicer place with more plants than you are, and no one has an ice cube's chance in hell of looking better than me in this swimsuit." I'm not sure there was a hypothesis involved in the formation of that proof, but it'd be unscientific not to appreciate. 

The AGT mainstay earned a slew of compliments and hyper-thirsty comments, to be expected, and Vergara's Modern Family co-star offered up her own emoji-heavy hubba-hubba thoughts.

In the three shots shared in that post, Sofia Vergara is hydrating beneath the hot sun, with another post sharing how hot things were in the area. Is she only drinking water out there? The champagne bottle that she took a video of is nowhere around, so perhaps the bubbly went somewhere pleasant in between posts.

Although if that's the case, Sofia Vergara should possibly win some kind of award for being the least sweaty mess humanly possible. My forehead starts to mist up if someone says the word "sun" in a different room, so maybe I'm not the best point of comparison on that front. Hold on a sec; I need to put some tape over that fire emoji before I start burning up.

Anyway, speaking of fronts...wait, no, the other side. Vergara shared a video of herself walking across a beach chair as if it were part of an obstacle course sobriety test, and she more or less passed. But more than a few comments on the post below surmised that her reasoning wasn't so much to display her sense of balance, but to show off what the swimsuit looks like from behind.

Hopefully this vacation has helped Sofia Vergara during what is probably an emotional time. She and Joe Manganiello shared that they both agreed the split was the best way to move forward regarding their relationship, so it's likely this situaiton has been weighing on her mind for a while now. Still, having it all go public creates a whole other can of worms to deal with, so there are probably far worse places to have been for the actress. Such as going swimsuit shopping with yours truly.
