Prime Video's Tomb Raider show was put on pause recently after its star, Sophie Turner, was injured. Thankfully, Turner is reportedly doing fine, but that situation does illustrate that filming this action series, and playing Lara Croft in general, is not for the faint of heart. Few know that better than actress Camilla Luddington, who portrayed Croft and had some advice for the Game of Thrones actress on how to recover after hard days on set.

Luddington voiced and did motion capture for Lara Croft throughout three Tomb Raider Survivor games, and she told People she had some recovery tips for her colleague, Sophie Turner. It seems like heat is the key for those achy muscles, given what Luddington said when she ran through her post-stunt performance cooldown:

Being an action star isn't easy. Daniel Craig suffered a number of injuries on the sets of James Bond films, and who can forget Tom Cruise breaking his ankle while performing a wild Mission: Impossible stunt? It goes without saying that Turner needs to take care of her body while filming the Tomb Raider series, and I'd say that Luddington has some truly sage advice.

Given that Sophie Turner's injury was reported to be minor, filming resumed shortly after the situation occurred. Turner trained a lot for the role and seemed pretty confident in her strength, even telling Jimmy Fallon she could beat him up. With all signs pointing to Turner truly committing to the role of Lara, I'm excited to eventually watch her in action with a Prime Video subscription.

Tomb Raider has the potential to be another smash hit for Prime, which struck gold with its live-action adaptation of the video game Fallout. Provided the series can thrive in the same areas that the aforementioned sci-fi show has, mainly in being faithful in how it adapts the games, I think there's no reason to believe it could be just as big a hit, if not bigger.

For those who never played the games, the original Tomb Raider games center around Lara Croft, a cool archaeologist traveling the world in search of ancient artifacts. The series essentially has the same vibe as Indiana Jones, with the obvious difference being that the focus is on a younger female character. I'm crossing my fingers that this upcoming video game adaptation gives the same vibes as the games -- and that Sophie Turner remains safe and well rested as she continues to film it.

A release date has yet to be announced for the Tomb Raider series yet, but those with Prime Video will be able to check it out when it releases. In the meantime, there are plenty of video game adaptations to watch on both the big and small screens, and fans should seek them out.

Now, the show faces uncertainty due to a persistent injury. Here’s what’s allegedly been happening with her behind the scenes.

Per reporting from The Sun, Turner threw herself into intense training to prepare for the role, sometimes for up to 8 hours a day. It was during this time that she discovered she had, as she described it, “a perpetual back problem” and recently retriggered the injury, throwing the production into disarray. A source close to the situation explained:

According to the report, the Game of Thrones alum will need to recuperate for at least a month, with fears that she could be out as long as six months. Allegedly, top brass have been talking about replacing the actress, but believe it would be too difficult and costly, as much of it has already been filmed with Turner. Per the insider:

The HBO breakout star, now 30 and mother of two, is taking up the mantle of the legendary PlayStation explorer, having been played by Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander in previous video game movie adaptations. Phoebe Waller-Bridge, creator of Fleabag, has written and produced the show, which added Sigourney Weaver and Jason Isaacs to its supporting cast.

This news is particularly upsetting given how excited Sophie Turner has seemed about taking on the role of Lara Croft. In recent interviews, she’s talked about transforming her body for the part with a personal trainer and even jokingly telling Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon that she felt like she “could beat you up right now.” Which was pretty believable, as we saw in the promo images released, she was sporting the video-game-accurate outfit that accentuated just how ripped her arms look these days. And, yeah, Fallon didn’t have as hot a time if he'd felt the urge to put him in a full nelson.

We still don’t know much about the Sansa Stark performer’s condition or its impact on the show’s future. Personally, if she is replaced, I’d find that almost more upsetting than the series being scrapped. Given the prestige of the upcoming video game adaptation and early looks, I hope neither happens. Here’s hoping Turner recovers soon and production resumes quickly.

Tomb Raider, presumably available with an Amazon Prime subscription if and when it’s released, does not have an official release date, though it was expected to drop sometime in early 2027. But now that the series’s future is in question, we will have to wait and see whether it makes that timeline or is scrapped.

I always try to separate actors from the work I know them best for when I go to watch their latest work. However, sometimes it's really hard, especially when two performers who are known for the same project collaborate on something new. It turns out that is true for the actors sometimes, too, as proven by the vomiting noises Sophie Turner and Kit Harington made after having to kiss each other in their upcoming horror movie.

Now, after playing siblings in the Game of Thrones cast for eight seasons, there’s no question that Turner and Harington playing lovers in their new project on the 2026 movie schedule is a bit “weird for all of us,” as the Sansa Stark actress once put it. As you can see in the behind-the-scenes footage of Turner and Harington’s gothic horror movie, when the take is happening, the two actors are being pros. They’re making out like their characters are supposed to. However, literally the second after “cut” is called they both make vomiting noises. Honestly, it's hilarious.

It also shows off what good actors they are, asThe Dreadful’s director Natasha Kermani said:

Considering Turner and Harington played siblings on Game of Thrones for so long, it tracks that they’d have absolutely no romantic chemistry off-screen. Plus, they’ve both been very open about how weird it's been for them to play lovers. In fact, The Staircase actress recalled an on-set moment a while ago where they were “both retching” after their first kissing scene on The Dreadful.

Adding to that, the Industry actor said that because Turner is taller than him, he had to stand on an apple box to kiss her. According to him, that also made things “slightly embarrassing.”

So, all around, this was not an ideal experience for anyone. However, the two actors are just that, actors, and they made it work. As the director stated, when the cameras were rolling, they had the chemistry, and they leaned into the steamy nature of the scene.

Although I do find it very funny that the second they weren’t working, they couldn’t keep it together. As a Game of Thrones fan, I’ll always think of them as Sansa Stark and Jon Snow first. So, seeing them play lovers in this horror movie is bound to be a little odd. However, like the actors, I too have to remember that this is all fiction, they’re not actually related in real life, and they’re very good at their jobs.

Therefore, while this scene led to vomiting noises behind the scenes, I’m sure that the steamy moment that happened before cut was called and plays into the film in a meaningful way.

Since starring in the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones, Sophie Turner has made a name for herself and not just for her role as Sansa Stark. The actress has gone on to star in the X-Men film series as well as movies like Do Revenge and Trust and TV shows such as The Prince, The Staircase and Joan. Turner has more recently been promoting Steal, a newly launched Prime Video series. Needless to say, Turner's been booked as of late but, shortly after Thrones' finale aired in 2019, she turned down certain gigs for a good reason.

Turner recently chatted with the Los Angeles Times, during which she looked back at her career. Of course, Game of Thrones was her big break and, while the show still seems to hold a big place in her heart, it sounds like she would rather not do similar shows. However, it’s not for the reason you’d think, as Turner, who is set to lead Prime Video’s upcoming Tomb Raider series, admitted:

I can definitely understand why it would be tough to star in a period piece. Between intricate sets, rough locations and eclectic costumes, there can be pain points for an actor. Sure, I can see how some stars would relish the chance to play a character who exists in a time period far different from there own. Nevertheless, I definitely get where Turner is coming from.

As with any kind of shoot, the weather can be unpredictable while filming a period piece. It can also be challenging to film outside in the cold in an outfit that may not be all that comfortable or conducive to the terrain. For Turner, there's one very particular reason she doesn't like doing period pieces:

I have seen a number of period dramas, and I'd be lying if I said that as I watched, I thought heavily about the actors having to deal with mud and other hazards. Needless to say, it sounds like it’s not that fan. If anything, what Sophie Turner can say is that after starring on a show like Game of Thrones -- which was shot in the UK, Spain, Canada, Malta and more -- for so long, she's truly battle tested when it comes to rough conditions.

Whether or not Turner's opinion will ever change about period pieces is unclear. However, thanks to the way she's rebuilt her career, she doesn't have to rely on them for work.

Still, there's been a question as to whether Turner would ever return to the GoT universe. The franchise is, after all, alive and well via spinoffs, and Turner's recent four-word response to the notion of reprising Sansa proves she's not totally opposed to the idea.

Of course, Sophie Turner is pretty busy these days and, as of late, she's been doing a lot of training for the upcoming Tomb Raider series, in which she'll play Lara Croft. Nevertheless, here's hoping that if Turner ever does take on another period piece, the experience will be smooth. For now, fans can see her in action as Stark by streaming all seasons of Thrones with an HBO Max subscription.

I will never forget the first time I played the original Tomb Raider on my childhood best friend’s step-brother’s Sega Saturn. The complex (for the time) puzzles, the exhilarating action, and all-around badass protagonist that was Lara Croft turned me into an instant fan. Even though I sucked at the game and its various sequels that came out throughout the latter part of the ‘90s, I couldn’t get enough of the franchise.

Now, with Prime Video’s Tomb Raider show being one of the most hotly anticipated video game adaptations in the works, I keep finding myself getting more and more excited about what’s to come. From Sophie Turner looking like a badass out of 1996 to co-showrunner Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s admiration for the franchise to limitless possibilities, I’m all pumped up, to say the least.

Based On That First-Look Image Of Sophie Turner, It Looks Like We’re Going Old-School

For the longest time, I didn’t know if Amazon’s Tomb Raider series would be adapting the OG games or the 2013 reboot series focusing on a younger and less-experienced Lara Croft. While that question hasn’t been answered entirely, I’m starting to think the series will be taking a more old-school route now that Prime Video has dropped a first-look image of Sophie Turner as the iconic video character that was a major part of the zeitgeist back in the ‘90s.

The green tank top, the dual-wielding pistols, those little red circular sunglasses, the haircut, and most of all, the attitude, give off the impression of an experienced archaeologist as she sets out to find long-missing treasures or uncover deep conspiracies. I have nothing against what Crystal Dynamics did with the franchise reset in 2013 (the Alicia Vikander movie loosely based on that entry is a pretty decent video game movie), but this is sending me back!

Phoebe Waller-Bridge Is Longtime Fan Of The Franchise, And I Think She Can Do It Justice

Back before the Tomb Raider show was even confirmed and was seen as nothing more than a dream, I wrote a piece saying Phoebe Waller-Bridge was the person to adapt this legendary video game franchise for the small screen. Nearly two-and-a-half years later, that sentiment still stands.

I mean, everything she’s said about the game that revolutionized the medium 30 years ago this year has let me, and other longtime fans, know that the series is in the right hands. Her work on projects like Fleabag, her script changes to No Time to Die, and her remarkable writing skills will all come in handy here. Plus, she’s obsessed (like super obsessed) with these games, and that’s what we need!

Please Let The Series Take Some Wild Turns Like The Games (Dinosaurs, Dragons, Cults)

Anyone who’s played the Tomb Raider games, especially those older titles, knows that the stories get wild as they progress. What starts as fighting bats, wolves, and bears in a recently discovered cave turns into a fight against dinosaurs, dragons, and cults, to name just a few. I mean, the first game didn’t waste too much time before you were taking on a freaking T-Rex with Lara Croft’s pistols and some strategy.

More crazy stuff followed, making each subsequent game an unpredictable and outrageously fun experience (until the tank controls got in the way). I would love for these zany levels, bosses, and other characteristics from the games to be used in the show. It’d be so much fun to see Sophie Turner, the Queen of the North, kill some zombies or long-extinct creatures.

As you can tell, I cannot wait for the Tomb Raider show to drop. I don’t know if it’ll be on the 2026 TV schedule, but I’ll be watching with my Amazon subscription the day it premieres.

Most actors don’t have an entire eight-season run of a popular TV show under their belt by the age of 23, but that describes what happened to Sophie Turner in May 2019. So, it’s understandable the actor has been a little bit MIA in recent years. That all changes on the 2026 TV schedule between her new Prime Video series Steal and the first look of her Tomb Raider. In a new interview, Turner opened up about her extended time away from Hollywood before coming back.

While speaking to The Guardian, the 29-year-old spoke to what it was like to find herself outside of Sansa Stark in the industry following the Game of Thrones finale. In her words:

Turner started dating Joe Jonas back in 2016 when she was twenty and the famed singer was 27. The couple got engaged one year later and tied the knot in 2019 before having two daughters together, Willa and Delphine, who were born in 2020 and 2022. The couple ended up separating in late 2023 and reaching a divorce settlement one year later.

The Game of Thrones star wasn’t completely off the grid following the series finale, given she was notably in HBO’s The Staircase, Joan for ITV and The CW, and briefly in Do Revenge, but this year marks a serious uptick in roles for her. Here’s what she said about slowing down on her acting career after Game Of Thrones:

Sophie Turner definitely had her hands full raising two daughters in the past few years, but now that they are turning six and four this year, it seems like she’s ready to emerge back into the public sphere with her latest projects. The Amazon Prime series Steal is already set to premiere on the streaming service on January 21. It follows an office worker who gets caught up in a big heist.

And then of course there’s her Tomb Raider series, where Turner will play the leading role of Lara Croft. The series will also star Sigourney Weaver and Jason Isaacs. Turner has been training hard to portray the video game character since last February, and she’s looking completely ripped. The series, which has Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge, is currently in production.

Other than that, Turner has reunited with Kit Harington to play lovers for the gothic horror movie, The Dreadful, which is coming out on February 20. While Turner’s comeback has been a long time coming, it sounds like her time away from acting really benefitted her life, and she’s clearly coming back now in full force.

When it was first announced that Sophie Turner would play Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider series for Prime Video, it was a somewhat surprising choice as the actress wasn't necessarily the first person you'd think of for that sort of role. Any doubts, however, are about to be put to rest, because we now have our first look at what Turner will look like as the iconic character, and she looks great and incredibly ripped.

Turner recently talked about the training she's been doing for the Tomb Raider series, but this is our first chance to really see what that will look like on screen. Needless to say, the training worked. She absolutely looks ready to take on any challenge, and she looks like a video game character brought to life. Get a look at the new Lara Croft:

We've seen some actors make some pretty incredible physical transformations for roles, but Sophie Turner has really outdone herself here. If Sansa Stark looked like this, she'd be sitting on the Iron Throne because she would have killed anybody who tried to stop her.

Turner's Lara Croft also looks like she just jumped out of a classic Tomb Raider video game. The most recent games in the franchise rebooted the character a bit, changing up her look among other things, and the most recent adaptations have been based on that reboot. However, this shows that the new series, which will be available with a Prime Video subscription, is going back to the classic duel pistol look that made the character so popular at the beginning.

It's arguably the most game-accurate adaptation we've seen, at least visually. Before I realized this was an official image, I thought it was some sort of AI creation because it almost looks too accurate to the old games. Even Angelina Jolie didn't look like she'd jumped straight out of a PlayStation 2 in her original Tomb Raider movies, but this look is clearly going for that.

The first look at Lara Croft comes as part of the official announcement that production on the new Tomb Raider series is officially underway. The show is being written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who is also co-showrunner. Turner will appear alongside a cast that includes Sigourney Weaver and Jason Isaacs, among others.

In much the same way I wasn't expecting Sophie Turner to be cast as Lara Croft, I wasn't expecting the show to go so hard with an original Tomb Raider design, but in both cases, I don't hate it. Turner looks incredible here. She really has been working out, and seeing this character spouting some sharp dialogue written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge has the potential to make for incredible television.

With the success of recent video game adaptations like The Last of Us and Fallout, it looks like adaptations based on video games are finally seeing some of the success that they have tried so long to achieve. One of the upcoming video game adaptations that is certainly hoping to follow in those footsteps is the Tomb Raider series starring Sophie Turner, and she’s certainly been putting the work in to achieve it.

In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon the host brought up the fact that Turner had been cast in Tomb Raider. And while it was only just confirmed a few months ago that Turner was in the role, she revealed that she’s been training for the part for nearly a year already, which means she’s in such good shape she thinks she could take down the host. Turner’s dress when appearing on The Tonight Show didn’t exactly show off muscles, and it also prevented her from any physical displays of strength or dexterity, but one imagines that she’s in pretty solid shape. If any of us trained hard for a year, we’d probably be transformed. Note to self, get back in the gym.

The upcoming Tomb Raider series, which will be available with a Prime Video subscription, is shaping up to be something worth watching. With Turner in the lead, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge as co-showrunner and writer, the show is all but guaranteed to be a take on the Lara Croft character that we haven’t seen before.

The series has also filled out its cast with some solid names, including Sigourney Weaver and Jason Isaacs. The characters that have been introduced through the casting indicate the new show will be an original Tomb Raider story and not an adaptation of a previous game. That’s actually par for the course for the franchise as only the 2018 Tomb Raider movie starring Alicia Vikander was actually directly inspired by one of the games, and that failed to spawn the franchise it was looking for.

Turner confirmed that the series hasn’t begun filming yet, so we’re a long way off from actually getting any sort of look at the new series. But the actress is certainly doing her part. And while she didn’t beat up Jimmy Fallon, one assumes that she’ll get plenty of chances to beat people up when the Tomb Raider series arrives on Prime Video.

Shortly after its premiere, Game of Thrones joined the ranks of HBO shows that got the world talking. The book to screen adaptation became quintessential water cooler talk, and is still re-watched for those with a HBO Max subscription. All jokes aside, the star of the X-Men movies got honest about the possibility of returning to Game of Thrones. She addressed GOT's controversial finale, and the way that Sansa's story was wrapped up. In her words:

Point were made. While fans weren't happy about Bran becoming King or the fate of Jon Snow and Dany, Sansa's ending was wildly satisfying. She stayed true to her Stark blood, and got to rule The North as its own region independent from the rest of the Seven Kingdoms. After seeing the character brutalized and tortured for years, fans loved to see Sansa standing in her power in Winterfell.

Despite this, the cast does seem to have very fond memories of their time in Westeros, with Sophie Turner forming a close relationship with co-stars like Maisie Williams and even adopting he dog from the set. Later in the same interview, she addressed the risk of going back to Game of Thrones, saying:

Fair point. The script would likely be the deciding factor for many of the OG stars, before deciding whether or not they'd reprise their roles for more GOT. There are seemingly no plans to bring the flagship series back at this point, with the spinoffs instead getting the focus on HBO. Still, the power of nostalgia makes just about anything possible nowadays.

The Game of Thrones franchise is currently streaming in its entirety on HBO Max. The universe will once again be expanded in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which premiers on January 18th as part of the 2026 TV schedule.

I can only imagine that self-proclaimed nepo baby Hailey Bieber (of Baldwin family fame) will do it big when she marks her 30th trip around the sun on November 22. The model, who shares a son with husband Justin Bieber, began modeling as a teenager and has become quite a successful influencer and skin care mogul.

Paul Mescal

Paul Mescal’s career has really taken off over the past few years, including his latest role in Hamnet, which earned him a Golden Globe nomination for the upcoming awards show. He’ll know whether or not he won by the time he turns 30 on February 2.

Mescal got his start in the theater before transitioning to TV in 2020 for Normal People. He will star as Paul McCartney in the upcoming Beatles movies, The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event.

There are a surprising number of celebrities hitting their milestone three-decade birthday this year. We may have known a lot of them from work they did as a child actor or teenager, but their careers will continue into their 30s. A great deal has been said about the upcoming movie The Dreadful (a movie expected to be on the 2025 movie schedule) that, based on what has been said, might be titled after the fact that stars Kit Harington and Sophie Turner had to kiss each other. The former Game of Thrones siblings play a romantic couple in the new film, which both have said was an awkward situation, although it was awkward for Harington for a slightly different reason.

Speaking with E! Harington says that he initially did feel “odd” about co-starring in the movie, a gothic romance set during the Wars of the Roses, with his former on-screen sibling. In fact, he was a little surprised that Turner did not, since apparently Turner was the one who sent him the script. Harington explained…

While Sophie Turner did eventually say the experience of kissing her “brother” did feel weird, for Harington, it seems that what was “kinda weird” on set wasn’t kissing Sophie Turner, it was the circumstances under which he had to do it. It seems that Turner is so much taller than Harington that the scenes in which they actually kissed required Harington to stand on a box. He continued…

Hollywood does a pretty amazing job of making every actor who is supposed to be the lead look tall, and fitting everybody in the frame so everybody looks the same height. I had no idea that there was such a difference in height between these two.

The question then is, is Kit Harington short for a man, or is Sophie Turner tall for a woman? Interestingly, according to information online, Turner is 5’9”, while Harington is only 5’8”. One wouldn’t think that Harington would need help to kiss Turner if she’s actually only an inch taller than he is, although, if they wanted Harington to look significantly taller than her, the box would be needed.

As somebody short enough that I would consider Kit Harington tall, I can imagine the embarrassment that comes with having to stand on a box to appear taller. That said, we know Harington isn’t the only actor to ever have to do that. Even Tom Cruise has had to do such things before, and if the biggest movie star in the world can handle it, I suppose the rest of us can.

This fall, celebs seem to be gravitating toward garments that make them literally sparkle. Kylie Jenner was decked out in silver not too long ago, and Sydney Sweeney and Zendaya were both rocking the sparkles, too. Now, Sophie Turner has hopped on the silver train with a chain top that’s perfect for the fall season.

Earlier this week, Sophie Turner attended the Louis Vuitton Womenswear Spring/Summer 2026 show in France as part of Paris Fashion Week. With the exception of the top we’re about to talk about, the Game of Thrones actress was in all black. I’m talking black boots, a black mini skirt, a black Louis Vuitton purse, and a statement black jacket with very large wing-like shoulders. However, what I’m obsessed with is the chain shirt, which you can see in the images below that the actress posted on Instagram:

Seriously, I adore this chain shirt. It looks like a sparkling waterfall, and it beautifully stands out against the black ensemble she’s wearing. Also, I’m a sucker for anything chainmail. It’s such a bold and literally sparkling material, and I adore it any time it’s worn.

However, on the whole, I adore this outfit, and I think we need to take a moment to also appreciate the jacket, specifically. In her caption, Turner thanked Nicolas Ghesquière, the artistic director of women’s collections at Louis Vuitton. And she specifically praised him for giving her “wings,” which I can totally see with this coat.

Between the coat and the top, this look is perfect for fall. It also highlights the actress’s style and how perfectly it fits into the season. It’s always innovative and inspirational. I can safely say we can add this fit to her iconic catalog that includes the great leather bucket hat she wore earlier this year and the gorgeous yellow dress she wore that gave How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days. It’s yet another example of her range, and I’ll certainly be taking notes on it as fall gets into full swing.

Seeing Turner out and about and wearing all these great fits also has me excited for the next time we’ll see her on screen. She’s already had one project drop on the 2025 movie schedule, Trust, and she’s also working on a few very exciting things, too, including The Dreadful, a horror movie she’s in with her Game of Thrones brother Kit Harington, and the upcoming Tomb Raider project, where she’ll play Lara Croft.

So, there’s a lot to look forward to from Sophie Turner, which also means we can anticipate more stunning outfits as well. However, for now, I’ll be appreciating this silver top and black ensemble that is seriously perfect for fall.

After months of waiting, it’s finally been confirmed that Sophie Turner will, in fact, be taking on the role of Lara Croft in the upcoming video game adaptation of Tomb Raider. Yep, the Game of Thrones alum is set to lead this action-packed Amazon Prime series, and as a massive fan of her work on her HBO mega-hit, I’ve been waiting for her to land a part like this for years.

While Sophie Turner has taken on great projects since GOT ended, there’s no question that this one piqued my attention the most.

That’s true for a couple of reasons. First of all, we’ve been waiting for so long to get this news that it’s a relief to finally have it. According to Deadline, the actress entered negotiations for the part last November and was only just confirmed for it. Secondly, I cannot wait to see Turner play this badass character after her tenure as the intelligent, resilient and powerful Sansa Stark.

I’m truly looking forward to watching Sophie Turner play another heroic woman. I also love that this leading and high-profile part will be quite different from Sansa. In Game of Thrones (which you can stream with an HBO Max subscription), Sansa is rarely in the big action. In Tomb Raider, Lara Croft will be at the center of it.

However, I also love their similarities. In a statement, Vernon Sanders, the Head of Global Television at Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, said Lara is “defined by her courage, strength and unshakeable resolve.” I think you could say the same about Sansa, even though the way these characters act is totally different.

Turner’s take on the role will really be fascinating to see, too. While she’s the only person to play Sansa, she is not the first to play Lara. In movie adaptations of the game, Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander have played her, so watching how the Game of Thrones cast member follows in their footsteps and forges her own path will be fascinating. To that point, the actress said:

In regard to Turner’s casting, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the creator, writer and EP of Tomb Raider, couldn’t contain her excitement, as she said in a statement:

Along with her, Chad Hodge has signed on as an executive producer and co-showrunner. He’ll be working alongside Waller-Bridge and Jonathan Van Tulleken, who will direct and executive produce. It was also revealed that production will start on January 19, meaning movement on Tomb Raider is really happening now.

All of this has me utterly thrilled. Prime Video has a great reputation when it comes to adaptations, with one of Amazon’s best original shows being Fallout. Plus, considering Waller-Bridge’s work on shows like Fleabag, I’m positive she’ll have a unique take on this beloved character. Also, with Sophie Turner officially set to be our Lara Croft, I think we’re in for something great when Tomb Raider becomes available to those with an Amazon Prime subscription.

While many Americans celebrated Labor Day weekend with the usual lineup of new streaming releases, college football, back yard barbecues and hanging out with family, Nimona actress Chloë Grace Moretz was experiencing one of the most joyous days of her still-youthful life. Last heard in Netflix’s animated graphic novel adaptation Nimona, Chloë Moretz Grace will make a big splash in the back half of the 2025 movie schedule with Michael Showalter’s Christmas-set comedy Oh. What. Fun.,costarring Michelle Pfeiffer, Danielle Brooks, Denis Leary and many more.

She’ll also be part of the impending romantic comedy Love Language from Joey Power, with a slew of co-stars such as Anthony Ramos, Manny Jacinto, Lukas Gage, Isabel May and more. I don't imagine that movie will match up with her real-life love story, however.

What we know about the Harry Potter TV show is limited, but fans are expecting a more accurate book to screen adaptation that'll give each novel its own season. Warner Bros. announced its trio of leading Harry Potter actors, who will have some big shoes to fill. While speaking with Flaunt, Turner revealed the advice she's give to those child actors, saying:

Honestly, this seems like very sound advice. Turner shared how she was able to get out of her time in Westeros with her head on her shoulders, and it sounds like that comes from trying to bring as much normalcy to one's life as possible. The Joan star’s post is pure hype, and I'm excited to check the flick out, but early critical reception to Trust suggests the flick may not live up to its grisly promise. According to reports, the movie—released on August 22—has stumbled out of the gate with a bleak 40% score on Rotten Tomatoes, struggling to win over critics or generate a ton of audience momentum in its opening weekend. Nearly everyone agrees Turner’s performance is committed, but most critics have argued that her work is swallowed by a story that feels messy and unfocused.

On paper, it’s the kind of paranoid, claustrophobic thriller that could channel real anxieties about celebrity, privacy, and exploitation. But according to critics, director Carlson Young and writer Gigi Levangie couldn’t settle on what story they wanted to tell. At times, the movie veers into survival horror; at others, it flirts with dark comedy, side quests involving animal rescuers, and plotlines that feel torn from three different drafts. The result, one reviewer noted, is like watching “three movies at once.”

Despite the uneven writing, The Staricase performer is clearly giving everything she’s got. Critics have praised her raw intensity, noting that she grounds the film even when the narrative spins away from her character. I’m so thrilled that Sophie Turner and Kit Harington are reuniting for an upcoming horror movie. However, I can’t quite get over the fact that the Game of Thrones cast members are going to be playing lovers. It turns out, they hilariously couldn’t either, as the Sansa Stark actress recalled just how uncomfortable she and the Jon Snow actor were filming their intimate scenes together.

Sophie Turner spent the better part of her time on Late Night with Seth Meyers discussing various uncomfortable filming situations she’s been in. While promoting her project on the 2025 movie schedule, Trust, she talked about working with rats and cockroaches. However, she also got real about the weirdness of making out with your former on-screen brother. Here’s how her story about how this ended up happening in the first place began:

Well, that’s really sweet. I love that the first person she wanted to work with was a fellow Stark, because any Game of Thrones reunion is a good one. However, things got weird when Turner and Harington realized that their relationship in this new movie would be totally different than the one they had on the HBO show.

Explaining that realization, Turner said:

Listen, I realize that in the Game of Thrones universe, being in a romantic relationship with your brother or niece is not necessarily unusual. However, it’s also never not weird. Plus, the Stark siblings – i.e., Robb, Sansa, Arya, Bran, Rickon and Jon – never participated in the incest.

So, you better believe I’m going to go see it. If they have confidence in it, I’ll be thrilled to watch it, even if it means I have to work really, really hard to get over the fact that they played iconic siblings on Game of Thrones.

While the happy bride dazzled the venue in white, her team of bridesmaids, including Turner, all wore a variety of yellow dresses. In the New York-set rom-com, Kate Hudson’s character, Andie, wears a butter-yellow silk dress in a scene that sees her and her date, Benjamin, attend a company ball together. The red-carpet-worthy movie gown helps make that scene in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (which is streamable with a Paramount+ subscription) very memorable. When certain actors play characters for a very long time, it can be hard to picture them as anyone else. That feeling becomes amplified when two former co-stars reunite for a new and totally different project. Well, now I’m feeling all those feelings as two of Game of Thrones' cast members, Sophie Turner and Kit Harington, are starring in a movie together. However, to make matters weirder, these performers who played siblings on GOT are playing lovers in this new movie. That’s a kind of hard to comprehend, but don’t worry, Turner is hilariously struggling with it too.

For context, Sophie Turner and Kit Harington are set to star in the gothic horror film The Dreadful. At the moment, it’s not on the 2025 movie schedule, but in a Vogue video, the actress expressed her excitement about the upcoming film and reuniting with her GOT brother, saying:

To state the obvious, Harington and Turner are not actually related, so if you take Game of Thrones out of it, this is not weird at all. However, they did play Jon Snow and Sansa Stark in the extraordinary fantasy adaptation for eight seasons.

So, for many of us who have and still do watch Game of Thrones with an HBO Max subscription, it’s hard to see these two as anything other than siblings. The HBO series got the world talking, and to this day, most of its main cast is best known for their roles in it. When I think of Harington and Turner, the Stark family and their characters are the first things that come to mind.

Picturing them as anything but siblings is, as Turner said, “really weird.” This is especially true because the series ran from 2011 to 2019, and we literally watched both actors grow up on screen, as Turner was 15 when she began playing Sansa and Harington was 24 when Season 1 premiered.

However, I’ll get over it just like they seemingly did, considering they made this movie together, because I love the idea of a Game of Thrones reunion on the big screen. Plus, The Dreadful sounds fascinating. The fact that it’s a gothic horror had me hooked already. However, Deadline reported that the film, which was written and directed by Natasha Kermani, follows a woman (Turner) who has been living in solitude with her mother-in-law during the War of the Roses when a man (Harington) from her past returns.

Sign me up! And I’ll do my best to pretend like I don’t know that the film's stars played siblings for years on Game of Thrones. Maybe I’ll even try to pretend like I’ve never seen GOT (which Turner hasn’t), and that might help me forget the on-screen familial ties.

No matter what, I know I’ll move past it, though, because, seemingly like Turner, my excitement to see the actors reunite trumps the feelings I have about these former on-screen siblings playing on-screen lovers.

Ever since Game of Thrones ended in 2019, Sophie Turner has kept herself pretty busy. Her latest follow-up from the HBO series was a mini-series called Joan, about a notorious jewel thief. But when Turner looked back on the show that started it all for her, she hilariously tried to explain the plot despite having “never watched” it (and she’s not wrong).

Game of Thrones (which is streaming on your HBO Max subscription) is known for a lot of things. With its most gruesome death scenes, flying dragons, and epic betrayals, the series pushed the boundaries of fantasy television and got a lot of fans talking. Shockingly enough, star Sophie Turner has “never watched” one of HBO Max’s best shows. Still, she hilariously tried to explain what happens on the series on the Dish Podcast. I’ve gotta say, she’s not exactly wrong:

And here I thought Samuel L. Jackson’s explanation of Game of Thrones was the only one that was hysterically on-point. Sophie Turner’s concise summary of the series tops it all. I mean, she is right that dragons play a key role, and families going head-to-head with each other is what the show is all about. That’s pretty much the best straight-to-the-point pitch to give if you want to get your friends to watch it.

I’m honestly surprised that Sophie Turner hasn’t watched Game of Thrones. I would have thought she'd need to tune in back in the filming days to gain a further understanding of the fantasy world of Westeros. Maybe she just focused on Sansa’s character arc and that was all she needed to prep? Either way, it showed what a talent the Northampton native is in bringing Sansa to life without having ever watched beyond her own character’s arc.

At the same time, I understand why Sophie Turner wouldn’t want to watch a series she starred in, despite how popular it was. The British actress got real on the podcast about having to “endure” premieres and that watching herself would have her going into “a two-month bout of depression.” We don’t need that! Commenters were fully debating why the two were together; some speculated about a rekindling, while others logically reasoned that the ex-couple share two daughters, and the sighting isn’t all that weird. I chalked it up to a Joe Jonas co-parenting with Sophie Turner scheduled meeting, but it’s amusing to skim through the discourse. JoBro fans certainly have a lot of thoughts when it comes to these two, and it remains to be seen who’s exactly right in this situation. But, my money is fully on the family matters portion of the debate. Though Turner hyping Jonas’s new album when it came out earlier does leave some room for stans hopes.

Regardless of all the speculation, both have been busy in their careers and each will have a 2025 movie calendar entry to offer their fans. The “Sucker” singer has the afformentioned festive return to Disney near the end of the year and the X-Men actress will be starring in the thriller, Trust, coming out later next month. Needless to say, Turner and Jonas will have plenty more for fans to speculate about whether it’s professional or personal.

Many of us watched Turner grow up as Sansa Stark on the Game of Thrones before she started dating Joe Jonas back in 2016, got engaged in 2017, and got married in 2019. Since then, Turner has to be going through a lot of adjustments, and having girlfriends around always makes things better.

Even though Sophie Turner is in a whole other film genre than her friends, it still looks entertaining to see the mix of fun costumes.

The 28-year-old actress has been a memorable star in well-known franchises. She may not have had fighting scenes in every season of Game of Thrones, but she did get into the ation in the X-Men movies as a young Jean Grey. As for her next franchise, I propose The Matrix after seeing her in this slick Halloween costume. Whether she’d play a hero or a villain, I know Turner would mean business no matter what. As The Matrix 5 is a go with the only thing decided being that it won’t be helmed by The Wachowskis, it’s my wishful thinking that Warner Bros. looks to the English actress for a strong role.

Picturing Sophie Turner as a Matrix character in the upcoming fifth movie may be a blue-pill fantasy moment for right now. But hopefully down the line, this fan-casting choice of mine can be a red pill reality. Ah, Game of Thrones. A chapter of my life that I have long since revisited several times – but you want to know what has changed? My perception of Sansa Stark. 

Let me preface this by saying that the world of A Song of Ice and Fire has plenty of characters that you either grow to hate or grow to love. Sansa was undoubtedly one of those for me. Ever since I began watching the show back in 2016, and watched it through the end, I never had the fondest thoughts about good old Lady Stark. 

But, I recently rewatched Game of Thrones for fun, and as I did, I slowly began to realize that how I viewed Sansa, as an annoying little girl at first, had changed completely. 

Maybe it was because my frontal lobe was fully developed at the time, and I finally had the sense to think about what the character had gone through. Even so, here I was…coming to a shocking realization that Sansa really…isn’t that bad. Like at all. And people need to stop hating her. 

Before We Dig Into The Character – Sophie Turner Was Fantastic As Sansa Throughout The Show

So, let’s start off by saying that I love Sophie Turner with all my heart. I have so much respect for anyone in the Game of Thrones cast, but I have even more major respect for the young men and women who began this show as children and turned into formidable actors by the end of it, yet still delivered a performance in their younger years that is nearly impossible to beat. 

Turner is one of those actors. While I do have a particular love for her, considering she’s rooted for Penn State, my alma mater, in the past, we’re talking solely about her acting skills here, and she knocked it out of the park from day one. Watching her when she was a teenager, playing a younger Sansa with that quiver and shake in her voice – it’s hard to portray that kind of emotion at such a young age. 

You can’t help but respect her. Honestly, I’ll support anything she does in the future with that amount of acting skill. 

Let’s Begin By Saying I Used To Hate Sansa

Alright, now that I’ve finished praising Turner, let’s dig into Sansa. 

I absolutely hated her when I was younger. And I think I know why. When I first watched this show, only six seasons were available, and while Sansa had gone through a lot in those six seasons, it wasn’t really until later seasons that we started to see that shift with her from a highborn lady to a natural leader. 

Then I had to wait years for the next two seasons, and I think, like D&D, that I just forgot everything she had gone through. Watching this series consistently without breaks in content allowed me to fully digest her insane character arc and how much she had survived. 

But before I had that, I couldn’t stand her. I thought she was just a privileged little lady who had everything in life and just wanted more and more. Personally, Season 1 Sansa is still that way, even on a rewatch, but boy…now, as an adult, everything changes in Season 2. 

Season 2 Is Where Things Began To Change 

Season 2 is where we really start to see Sansa fighting for her life. Her father has been killed in one of the most shocking Game of Thrones moments ever, and her brother is now warring with the Lannisters. This is the moment we see her forced to grow up. 

It takes time. A lot of time. But she’s forced to play the Game of Thrones in a way that we haven’t really seen – from the inside out, trying to look as potentially loyal as possible while attaining allies who could maybe help her escape, such as Margaery, but that doesn’t come until Season 3. We see her genuinely starting to realize the situation she has gotten herself into. 

Her privileged attitude really begins to go right out the window. Seasons 3 and 4 put this mentality to the test, where she does exactly as she’s told to do to survive, but in Season 5…it all changes again. 

Season 5 As An Adult Made Me Want To Save Her Myself And Give Her A Home

I don’t want to spend that much time on Sansa’s story in Season 5. It’s disgusting and heartbreaking, and it makes adult-me want to sob every time I watch it. When I was younger, watching this was saddening but not nearly as enraging it was now, realizing just how much this young woman had dealt with. 

Then, Ramsay had to come along and ruin everything. I’ve seen some horrible things said about this scene online, and all I want to say is that no matter what Sansa has said or done in the past, she never deserved what happened to her. I was forever grateful when Theon was able to get her out of the castle. Truthfully, now, it made me want to give her a home, too. No one should ever have to go through that. 

I Never Realized Just How Badass She Was Until Season 6

Season 6 is probably one of my favorite seasons of Game of Thrones for various reasons, but now, rewatching it, I realize it’s the moment Sansa really started to become a leader. While she doesn’t know anything about battle strategy, she has the mind of the nobles that she was forced to reside with for years on end on her side. 

She uses that to her advantage, and helps Jon Snow gain allies in order to fight Ramsey. Not only that, but she pulls a fast one and gets the army of the Vale to end the Battle of the Bastards real quick. Do you know how badass she looks as she stands there, watching as Ramsey and his men are taken down? Ugh, utter revenge; sweet revenge. 

Honestly, She Deserves The Ending She Got After Everything She Went Through And How She's Grown

I still don’t necessarily agree with how we ended some stories for Season 8 and the overall Game of Thrones ending. There are some things I still don’t agree with to this day, and even rewatching it reminds me of how much I don’t agree with them. 

However, I’ve grown to realize that Sansa deserves the title of Queen in the North. She really did everything that she could do to get her home back and show that the Starks deserve to stay in the North, showing a complete turnaround from what she was as a child – a needy lady who wanted to go south to King’s Landing. 

Sure, she can’t fight. She’s not a warrior. She doesn’t have dragons, or direwolves anymore to use as weapons. But she has her mind. She’s a capable young woman who grew up in probably some of the most traumatizing ways a girl can imagine…and for that, she earns my utmost respect, and I would support her in a heartbeat. 

I still think Daenerys should have become queen, that she and Sansa could have worked something out that didn't seem so quickly done like with Bran because, of course, it was. Still, even so, I’m glad that at least one of the mighty women that I adored throughout this series got the ending they deserved. 

While Game of Thrones is long over, House of the Dragon Season 3 is coming in a few years, and who knows? I might end up liking a character there just as much as I like Sansa now. But, perhaps another Game of Thrones rewatch is needed before we decide on that. Regardless, she’ll always be my Queen in the North.

It’s been about nine months since Joe Jonas filed for divorce from Sophie Turner, and a lot has changed. Both have reportedly been dating other people, and the Game of Thrones actress and Jonas brother are still working out their separation. Now, however, there’s seemingly been an interesting development in the “Cake By The Ocean” singer’s life as he’s allegedly “struck up a friendship” with Demi Moore. 

Joe Jonas and Demi Moore reportedly met up in the South of France last month, and sources told Page Six that they have become friends and have been kind of flirty. Photos showed them out for a meal together at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France, and a source claimed that they’ve bonded recently, saying:

The report went on to say that while Moore was at Cannes with her project on the 2024 film schedule, the upcoming horror movie The Substance, which got a lot of good buzz at the festival, she also hosted the amfAR gala. Joe Jonas was there to perform with his brother Nick, and the report claimed that the Ghost actress was seen dancing to his song “Cake By the Ocean” with Michelle Yeoh.

After that, the two were apparently seen again together, this time, they were spotted alongside Joe’s older brother Kevin.

There have been conflicting reports about the status of their relationship. While one source allegedly told the outlet things were getting romantic, the story noted that another “well-placed source was quick to dispel any rumors of hanky-panky.” So, for now, it would appear that the 61-year-old actress and 31-year-old singer are simply friends. 

Joe Jonas also reportedly knows Moore’s manager Jason Weinberg and her stylist Brad Goreski, so there are a lot of invisible strings seemingly tying time together. 

This news comes a few days after it was reported, via ET, that Joe Jonas and Stormi Bree had broken up after dating for about six months. While no romance was confirmed between him and Moore, it has been affirmed that the singer is now single again. So, take everything with a grain of salt. 

Over the last few months, it’s been reported that Joe’s ex-wife Sophie Turner has been seeing Peregrine Pearson, who is the heir of the 4th Viscount Cowdray. As for the Devotion actor, he was linked to Stormi Bree.

When it comes to the divorce of Turner and Jonas, the biggest issue has seemingly been surrounding their children’s custody agreement. Back in October, they reportedly spent eight hours in a room hashing out their separation, and shortly after that they reached a temporary custody agreement. 

Now, both are back at work and moving forward personally. They are still working to finalize their divorce.

It will be interesting to see how Joe Jonas’ relationship with Demi Moore develops, and if they’ll become close friends or even something more. Only three members of the Haven cast have been announced at the time of this writing, but that group – Sophie Turner, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, and Archie Madekwe – has us especially excited for this new crime thriller. Let’s meet the actors and who’ll they be playing in the upcoming series.

Sophie Turner as Zara

Sophie Turner will lead Haven as Zara, an office worker who finds herself wrapped up in the “Heist of the Century” at a pension fund investment company. Turner, who appeared in more episodes of Game of Thrones than just about anyone else, has been on a tear the past few years, and this looks like the next step.

Jacob Fortune-Lloyd as DCI Rhys

Jacob Fortune-Lloyd will show up as DCI Rhys, a detective looking into the massive heist at the center of Haven. Fans of Netflix originals like The Queen’s Gambit and Bodies will recognize Fortune-Lloyd from his portrayals of Townes and DS Karl Weissman,” respectively.

Archie Madekwe as Luke

Archie Madekwe had a breakout year in 2023 with his portrayal of John Mardenborough in the surprisingly great Gran Turismo and then as the detestable Farleigh Start in Saltburn. And it looks like that momentum will continue when he takes on Zara’s friend, Luke, in Haven.

Haven Will Tell The Story About The ‘Heist Of The Century’ And An Office Worker Who Gets Caught Up In It

There have been a lot of great heist films and TV shows over the years, and Haven could very well be another addition to that list when it arrives sometime down the road. In the press release announcing the series order, Amazon Studios described the program as “a contemporary, high-octane thriller” that centers on the “heist of the century” and the ordinary woman who gets wrapped up in it. 

Essentially, the series will follow Sophie Turner and Archie Madekwe’s characters as they are forced by a gang of thieves to help in robbing Lochmill Capital -- an investment company managing a massive pension fund -- of billions of pounds. The robbery will also bring in Fortune-Lloyd’s embattled detective, who is trying to solve the case while also dealing with his own personal demons. What happens next is anyone’s guess…

The Series Was Written By Crime Novelist S.A. Nikias

Running things behind the scenes for Haven is S.A. Nikias, who made his screenwriting debut with the upcoming crime series. According to Deadline, NIkias is the novelist behind the City Blues Quartet books, which were all written under the pseudonym of Ray Celestin. Haven will be the first TV series written by novelist S.A. Nikias. 

In a statement accompanying the series order, the show’s production company, Drama Republic, praised Nikias’ work and everything he brought to the project, with Rebecas de Souza and Greg Brenman saying:

With his work on the project, Nikias joins a long list of other novelists-turned-screenwriters that includes the likes of the late Michael Crichton, Gillian Flynn, Dave Eggers, and numerous others.

Luther And Black Mirror Director Sam Miller Will Helm The First Three Episodes

If you are a fan of Luther or some of the best Black Mirror episodes like Season 6’s “Loch Henry,” then you’ll probably be stoked to hear that Sam Miller, who worked on both of those projects plus many others, will be directing the first three episodes of Haven. When announcing the series, Amazon Studios noted that Miller, who also worked on the likes of Fortitude, Snowpiercer, and I May Destroy You, will also be one of the show’s executive producers, so it wouldn’t be surprising if he’s around for more than just three chapters.

Haven Is Just One Of Sophie Turner’s High-Profile Upcoming Projects

Haven is just one of Sophie Turner’s upcoming projects, as the actress is also slated to lead a few other high-profile movies and TV shows in the next couple of years. Later in 2024, Turner will lead The CW’s Joan, a six-part series that will follow Joan Hannington, a woman who transformed herself from a housewife to a criminal mastermind.

At some point, Turner will team up with Kit Harrington once more as the Game of Thrones actors will lead Natasha Kermani’s gothic horror film, The Dreadful, according to Deadline. The former X-Men actress is also slated to appear in Trust, Carlson Young’s upcoming psychological thriller, but the details are being kept under wraps, per The Hollywood Reporter. Turner is also slated to appear alongside Boyd Holbrook and The White Lotus Season 2 standout Simona Tabasco in Goran Dukic’s sci-fi flick, Cloud One, according to Deadline.

Expect to hear much more about Haven in the coming weeks and months, but until then, there are plenty of great Amazon original series streaming on Prime Video. 

The end of 2023 was filled with a lot of news and rumors about Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas’ separation. Jonas officially filed for divorce last fall, and what followed was a lot of reports about their split, specifically the battle for custody of their kids. Now, the Game of Thrones actress has opened up about that time in her life, and she specifically spoke about her friends who helped her through it, including the biggest pop star in the world, Taylor Swift. 

For some background, in September of 2023, Turner and Swift were seen getting dinner together in New York City. Later, it was reported that the pop star was letting the actress stay in her apartment as she worked through her divorce with Jonas. Now, Sophie Turner has opened up about how hard the divorce was and how the “Cruel Summer” singer supported her through it. Speaking to Vogue UK about her friendship with the pop star, she said:

Before last fall, the article explained that the two women weren’t close friends. When the singer released Fearless (Taylor’s Version) Turner did listen to the song about Joe Jonas and posted a funny Instagram story about it, and Swift has been open about her love for Game of Thrones.

Explaining how grateful she was for this kind gesture, Sophie Turner said:

Since then, the two women have been seen out together at dinner, and Turner even attended a Chiefs game with Swift, Blake Lively, and some of their other friends.

It’s clear through this statement that the singer’s support and friendship really helped Turner through this challenging time. 

Calling days following the announcement of her divorce “the worst few days of my life,” she explained that she was working on her show Joan in the UK when Jonas filed for the separation. All the headlines and rumors and false claims that followed were overwhelming as she said:

She said her cast and crew supported her greatly through the tough time, and then when she needed to stay in New York with her kids, her old friends as well as new ones, like Swift, were there for her. 

In October of 2023, reports came out that the former couple spent hours hashing out their split, specifically a custody agreement in NYC. Turner and Jonas reached a temporary custody agreement for their two young daughters, however, at the time of this writing, the divorce is not finalized yet.

Now, Sophie Turner is ready to move forward, and she said this year is already going well. At the start of it, she said “2024’s forecast is looking fairly consistent,” and she noted that last year was the “year of the girlies.” Her appreciation for her friends, like Taylor Swift, couldn’t be more apparent, and it’s nice to hear her talk about how they all helped her through this difficult time. 

It was reported in the fall of 2023 that Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner were allegedly divorcing and, shortly after, the couple broke their silence on the split, confirming the news to be true. Since then, additional reports have offered alleged details on how the legal proceedings have been going. Sources claimed that 28-year-old Turner and 34-year-old Jonas’ case was becoming somewhat contentious, though they eventually managed to reach a temporary custody agreement for their two kids. Now, months later, there’s been an update regarding where their divorce currently stands.

Sophie Turner’s legal team apparently just made a significant move when it comes to her split from the Jonas Brothers veteran. People obtained legal documents that show that Turner’s camp has formally asked a judge to “reactivate” her divorce case. Said docs were reportedly filed in Miami-Dade County, Florida, this past Monday. As for the reason for the request, the papers read that “the abatement has come to an end and this case is to be re-activated.”

The temporary custody agreement for the couple’s daughters – Willa (3) and Delphine (20 months) – was reached in October 2023. Said interim order was reportedly reached after much mediation, including a meeting in which the couple spent eight hours in a room hashing out their differences. The deal was meant to be in effect through January 2024 and, during that period, the girls would spend time with their parents in the U.S. and U.K. for allotted stretches of time. It’s currently unclear as to how the proceedings have been handled from the reported Jan. end date up until now.

Per reports, Joe Jonas filed, in Florida, to end his marriage to the X-Men star, who he tied the knot with in 2019. Insiders subsequently alleged that his decision to split from his partner was “not easy” for him. They also claimed that Jonas supposedly wanted to split due to stark differences in their lifestyles.

The case became a bit more complex in late September, as Sophie Turner sued Jonas for wrongful retention of their kids. The English actress specifically accused him of withholding their daughters’ passports. The singer’s rep eventually responded to Turner’s filing and, among the sentiments shared, they claimed the Game of Thrones alum was only making “abduction” claims to get the case moved to the U.S.

The couple haven’t said much publicly about their divorce since making their initial joint statement. Joe Jonas did nod at the rumors during a concert, as he told fans that “if you don’t hear it from these lips, don’t believe it.” Sophie Turner, meanwhile, has reportedly found comfort with her friends, including Taylor Swift, who housed her at her New York apartment and treated her to some spaghetti dinners. Turner is now reportedly in a relationship with Peregrine Pearson – the heir of the 4th Viscount Cowdray. (It sounds like something out of Bridgerton.) Jonas has also been romantically linked to model Stormi Bree.

As of this writing, the “See No More” singer’s representatives have yet to comment on the reactivation of his divorce case. With that, it remains to be seen what exactly the estranged couple’s next steps in this process will be.

HBO's Game of Thrones ran for eight legendary seasons, airing 73 episodes in total. The sprawling epic included dozens of storylines and even more characters. According to IMDB, 843 different actors appeared on the show, including these 32 who appeared in the most episodes. 

There are some surprising characters that don't appear on this list, like Ramsey Bolton (Iwan Rheon), his father Roose Bolton (Michael McElhatton), Ollena Tyrell (Diane Rigg), and, of course, Ned Stark (Sean Bean), and Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa), who didn't live long enough to be on it.

Peter Dinklage's character, Tyrion Lannister, appears in more episodes than any other character on Game of Thrones. The cleverest member of the Lannister clan appeared in 67 of the 73 episodes. He's introduced in the very first episode and makes it all the way to the last one. 

Cersei Lannister - 62 Episodes

The villain we all loved to hate, Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) appeared in an amazing 62 episodes. For a character that was in the middle of all the palace intrigue, who made as many enemies as Cersei did, it's a wonder she made it as far as she did. Like her siblings, Cersei was introduced in the first episode of the show, and made it to the 72nd episode, when she was killed when the Red Keep collapsed on her and her brother Jaime. 

Daenerys Targaryen - 62 Episodes

Daenerys Targaryen's character arc from the meek sister of a pretender king to a strong leader to a bloodthirsty tyrant is one of the most controversial arcs in TV history. It all began in the first episode of the series and ended in the controversial final episode. Emilia Clarke's character was in a total of 62 episodes over that time. 

Jon Snow - 62 Episodes

The broody Jon Snow (Kit Harington), has one of the craziest storylines of the series, taking him from Winterfell to The Wall, to the Red Keep, and everywhere in between. Audiences met Jon in the first episode, along with the rest of the Starks, and he makes it all the way to the end. It might not have ended for Jon the way some people wanted, but at least he's alive at the show's conclusion. 

Sansa Stark - 59 Episodes

Another character with an insane story arc is Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner). It unfolds over 59 episodes, starting with the first and ending with the last. She goes from a sweet summer child in the beginning, to one of the toughest and coldest leaders in The North by the end. Sansa has a brutal life over the course of the series, but it leads to somewhere great. 

Arya Stark - 59 Episodes

Viewers first met the second youngest Stark child, Arya (Maisie Williams), in the first episode when King Robert came to visit Winterfell. Through 59 episodes over all eight seasons, Arya turns into one of the best assassins in Westeros after her travels take her from her home up north, to King's Landing, to Braavos, and back again, finally ending up at Winterfell for one of the biggest moments of the series, when she takes out the Night King. 

Jaime Lannister - 55 Episodes

It's no surprise that Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) is on this list, with 55 episodes. Jaime and his sister Cersei first appeared in the premiere, making quite a mark for the things he would do for love. He also has one of the least satisfying story arcs, after ditching Lady Brienne to return to his toxic relationship with his sister. The Kingslayer almost finds redemption before giving it all up for misguided love. 

Jorah Mormont - 52 Episodes

Ser Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen), Daenerys' faithful guard makes it 52 episodes in Game of Thrones. He appears by his queen's side in the first episode and through eight seasons of ups and downs, including a long banishment from Daenerys' Queens Guard. In the end, Jorah gets the noble death he deserves in the second episode of Season 8, defending the Mother of Dragons in the Battle of Winterfell against the White Walkers.

Samwell Tarly - 48 Episodes

Jon Snow's most loyal companion is Samwell Tarly (John Bradley). Jon meets Sam at Castle Black in the fourth episode of Season 1 and they remain the best of friends until the end. After a journey that takes him all over Westeros, Sam makes it to the end of the final episode. 

Theon Greyjoy - 47 Episodes

Possibly no one had a rougher time in Game of Thrones than Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen). That's not to say he didn't deserve some of the unspeakable things that happened to him, as he was pretty awful from the time we met in the first episode until he finally redeems himself in Season 8. Like so many others, Theon falls at the Battle of Winterfell after defending Bran for as long as he can. Theon made it a total of 47 episodes. 

Varys - 46 Episodes

Lord Varys, the Spider, played by Conleth Hill, is always lurking in the shadows. For 46 episodes of Game of Thrones, he is mixing things up behind the scenes. Audiences first meet the Master of Whisperers when Ned Stark attends his first small council meeting in Episode 3 of Season 1. Varys is still helping make decisions for the realm in the final episode of the series. 

Davos Seaworth - 42 Episodes

Ser Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham), the pirate-turned-knight is a fan favorite who first appeared in Episode 1 of Season 2 as an advisor to Stannis Baratheon. Though he comes from humble beginnings, he rises all the way to Master of Ships under King Bran in the final episode of the show. 

Brienne Of Tarth - 42 Episodes

One of the most noble people in all of Westeros is Brienne of Tarth, played by Gwendoline Christie. We don't meet Brienne until Episode 3 of Season 2, but from there, she becomes a key character in a number of different stories. She has one of the most satisfying conclusions when she is named Commander of the King's Guard in the final episode. 

Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish - 41 Episodes

Aidan Gillen's character, Petyr Baelish, better known by his nickname, Littlefinger, plays a massive role in the battle for the throne throughout the series. As Master of Coin, viewers first meet Littlefinger in Episode 3 of Season 1. Though he puts himself in danger a number of times with his conniving actions, he makes it 42 episodes, before dying at the hands of Arya in the Season 7 finale.   

Bran Stark - 40 Episodes

Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) plays one of the most pivotal roles throughout the run of Game of Thrones. In a way, he is responsible for everything that happens after he is thrown from the window by Jaime at the end of the very first episode, and in the end, it's Bran that becomes King at the end of the series, which surprised most fans of the show.

Sandor "The Hound" Clegane - 38 Episodes

Rory McCann's portrayal of Sandor "The Hound" Clegane is one of the best on the show. He's funny, tough, scary, and sometimes, even kind. It's a hard line to walk for an actor and McCann does it brilliantly for 38 episodes, from the first in the series until the second-to-last episode when he dies with his brother, The Mountain. 

Missandei - 38 Episodes 

Daenerys Targaryen's righthand woman, Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel), is one of the most loyal people on the show, serving Dany as both an advisor and a good friend. Fans first meet Missandei in the first episode of Season 3 and watch her through 38 episodes, until she is killed on Cersei's order in Episode 4 of Season 8.

Bronn - 37 Episodes

Jerome Flynn's Bronn is the ultimate survivor. While he's a sellsword when we first meet him, when he fights as Tyrion's champion for his trial by combat at the Eyrie in Episode 4 of Season 1, he ends up a high lord and Master of Coin by the end of the series after appearing in 37 episodes, right down to the final one. 

Podrick Payne - 35 Episodes

Podrick Payne (Daniel Portman) is a ladies' man, which is one of the funniest recurring jokes on Game of Thrones. He's also a loyal squire to Brienne until he is promoted to the Kingsguard in the final episode. The popular Podrick appears in 35 episodes in total, from Episode 2 of Season 2, until the end. 

Grey Worm - 34 Episodes

Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson) is the former slave, freed by Dany, and becomes Dany's most loyal soldier. He appears in a total of 34 episodes, starting in Season 3 and making it to the final episode and living to see another day. 

Eddison Tollett - 34 Episodes

Viewers first meet Eddison Tollett (Ben Crompton) in Episode 1 of Season 2 as a member of the Night's Watch. Always faithful to Jon Snow, Edd is a key member of the watch, though not a major character in the show. Still, he appears in 34 episodes, until his death at the Battle of Winterfell in Season 8.

Tormund Giantsbane - 33 Episodes

Everyone's favorite Wildling warrior, Tormund, played by Kristofer Hivju, appears in 33 episodes. We meet him later in the series, in Episode 1 of Season 3, but luckily for everyone, he makes it to the end, traveling with Jon Snow north of what's left of The Wall to live with the other Wildlings. 

Grand Maester Pycelle - 31 Episodes

Grand Maester Pycelle, played by the great Julian Glover, is a weaseling character, loyal to the Lannisters. That is, until he is betrayed by Cersei and her defrocked Maester, Qyburn. Still, he appears in 31 episodes from Season 1 until his death in Season 6. 

Melisandre - 29 Episodes

As despicable as Melisandre (Carice van Houten) is, it's remarkable that she survives until Season 8. Appearing in a total of 29 episodes, the Red Woman's allegiances change a couple of times, though nothing will ever excuse what she did to Stannis' daughter. 

Tywin Lannister - 27 Episodes

Charles Dance's performance as Tywin Lannister is one of the best in all of Game Of Thrones. Over 27 episodes from Season 1 through his death in the privy in Season 8, Tywin is a villain everyone loves to hate. 

Gilly - 27 Episodes

Gilly (Hannah Murray) is one of the most sympathetic characters in the brutal world of Games of Thrones. The former Wildling daughter/wife of Craster escapes with Sam and her son and they survive together until the very end of show. Gilly appears in 27 episodes from Season 2 through the finale. 

Margaery Tyrell - 26 Episodes

Margaery Tyrell, played by Natalie Dormer, is a polarizing character in Game of Thrones. She has a knack for playing the game well and married not one, but two kings throughout her 26-episode run between Seasons 1 and 6, but ultimately she is outplayed by Cersei when she is killed in the Sept of Baelor explosion. 

Joffrey Baratheon - 26 episodes

There is no question that Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson) is one of the greatest villains on Game of Thrones and in TV history. Almost from the moment audiences met him in the first episode, we hated him. That hatred only grew over the next 26 episodes that he appears in, until finally, we all get what we wanted when he is poisoned at his own wedding. 

Catelyn Stark - 25 episodes

Maybe the most tragic character on Game of Thrones is Stark matriarch Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley). She sees her husband die, her daughter held hostage, and her son Robb die. It's all too much for her take by the end of her 25-episode arc when she dies at the Red Wedding, after being introduced in the fist episode. 

Barristan Selmy - 25 episodes

Barristan Selmy (Ian McElhinney) is another close advisor to Dany. Though not as close to her as Jorah, he's still an important member of her Queen's Guard after his banishment from Joffrey's Kings Guard. His run lasted for 25 episodes until he is killed helping Grey Worm against the Sons of the Harpy.

Gregor "The Mountain" Clagane - 24 Episodes

Sandor Cleagane's brother, Gregor "The Mountain" Cleagane, is a knight of few words. Eventually, after his poisoning in a trial by combat, he's a man of no words. He's still one of the most fearsome knights in the realm. Three different actors played The Mountain throughout the 24 episodes he appeared in, Conan Stevens (Season 1) Ian Whyte (Season 2), and Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (Seasons 4-8).

Gendry Baratheon - 24 Episodes

Although we meet the illegitimate son of King Robert, Gendry (Joe Dempsie) in Season 1, his character arc takes him in and out of the series, and despite appearing in seven of the eight seasons, he only shows up in 24 episodes. 

There are a handful of characters that just missed the cut here, like Ramsey Bolton, Robb Stark, and Stannis Baratheon, and a whole lot more fan favorites that are way down the list because they appeared in far fewer shows than you'd guess. But these are the characters that appeared the most. 

Soon, Game of Thrones fans and lovers of horror movies will have a project to rally around, because two of the Stark children are reuniting for a new scary movie called The Dreadful. That's right, Sophie Turner and Kit Harington are coming back together for a scary movie, and the former Queen of the North had the absolute cutest response following the breaking news about the project. 

Almost five years have passed since the memorable GoT finale where we saw Sansa Stark named Queen of the North and Jon Snow guiding the Wildlings beyond the Wall. Hence, the idea of a Stark family reunion seems far overdue. It appears it's finally happening, thanks to the upcoming horror movie, The Dreadful. Following the project's announcement, Turner took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the pair's forthcoming collaboration, and frankly, it's adorable. The Dark Phoenix star shared the Deadline article accompanied with the post:

The Dreadful is touted as a film steeped in gothic horror traditions, embracing the genre's penchant for setting its tales in bygone eras. The story unfolds during the tumultuous period of England's 15th-century War of the Roses, featuring Sophie Turner in the role of Anne, a young woman enduring a bleak existence with her mother-in-law on society's fringes. The arrival of a figure from Anne's past, portrayed by Kit Harington, marks the beginning of a series of events that promise to be a pivotal moment in the young woman’s life. In addition to her role in front of the camera, the actress also plays a vital role behind the scenes as a producer.

Since their time on the acclaimed series Game of Thrones—which ended in a finale that received mixed reactions — Sophie Turner and Kit Harington have been anything but idle. 

Turner took a brief hiatus from acting before diving into various roles. She portrayed the formidable Jean Grey in X-Men: Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix, plus she took part in HBO's crime series The Staircase, and the 2022 dark comedy Do Revenge. Her private life also made headlines with her marriage and subsequent separation from Joe Jonas. 

On the other hand, Harington also ventured into the realm of superhero films with a role in Marvel's The Eternals. He also participated in Apple's series Extrapolations, and he is set to appear in the forthcoming third season of HBO's Industry.

Since the conclusion of the original adventure in Westeros in 2019, there has been speculation about several potential Thrones spinoffs in the works, including one focusing on Jon Snow with Kit Harington reprising his role. According to George R. R. Martin, the concept for the spinoff originated from the actor himself. Currently referred to as Snow, the project hasn’t had any recent updates. Martin and HBO top brass seem to be prioritizing other Game of Thrones-related content, such as the second season of the prequel House of the Dragon and the animated series Nine Voyages, which centers on the adventures of Corlys Velaryon.

While a return to the world of Ice & Fire for either Harington or Turner is yet to be seen, we can at least rejoice that the two will grace the screen together once more in The Dreadful. 

It's been nearly five years since we saw Sansa Stark get crowned Queen in the North and her half-brother Jon Snow lead the Wildlings to the lands beyond the Wall in that polarizing Game of Thrones series finale. So it's high time for a Stark family reunion, and I'm not the only one who thinks so, as GoT alums Sophie Turner and Kit Harington are officially set to reteam for a gothic horror film.

As reported by Deadline, the duo will share the screen together for the first time since leaving the world of Westeros in The Dreadful, a horror flick written and directed by Iranian-American filmmaker Natasha Kermani (Lucky, V/H/S/85). 

Set against the backdrop of England's War of the Roses in the 15th century, the movie will star Turner as Anne, a young woman who lives "a solitary, harsh life" alongside her mother-in-law on the outskirts of society. That all changes, however, when a man from Anne's past (played by Harington) shows up and sets off “a sequence of events that become a turning point for Anne.” Along with acting, Turner is attached to the project as a producer.  

Following the eight-season run of the HBO fantasy epic—during which time she made her acting debut as Sansa Stark and scored a 2019 Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series—Sophie Turner kept busy with the 2019 X-Men flick Dark Phoenix, the HBO crime drama The Staircase and the 2022 black comedy Do Revenge. (She also married and divorced a certain Jonas brother.) 

Meanwhile, Harington—a fellow Emmy nominee for his turn as Game of Thrones' Jon Snow né Aegon Targaryen (and, no, that's not a spoiler, the show has been off the air for half a decade!)—has starred in Apple's Extrapolations, Marvel's Eternals and the upcoming third season of HBO's Industry since hanging up his Night Watch cloak. 

There have also been relentless rumors about a Jon Snow-centered Game of Thrones spinoff starring Harington since the original series ended back in 2019. The spinoff was allegedly the actor's idea, per George R. R. Martin, who wrote in a 2022 blogpost on his personal website: 

Tentatively titled Snow, that project is seemingly still in limbo, as George R. R. Martin and the powers-that-be are instead focusing on other Game of Thrones spinoffs including a second season of the prequel series House of the Dragon and the animated series Nine Voyages, which follows the character of Corlys Velaryon.

If Snow ever does get made though, Harington is reportedly set to reprise his most famous role. Maybe there'll even be a cameo part available for his royal half-sister? After all, we can't help but get a little giddy every time we see the House Stark siblings together again. For now though, at least there's The Dreadful to look forward to from these actors.

Following what was seemingly a turbulent and difficult 2023, Sophie Turner is sharing her optimistic goal for 2024. The actress and her now ex-husband Joe Jonas went through a divorce toward the end of last year, and now, she’s making her intentions for this upcoming year clear while sharing a sweet life update. 

According to Sophie Turner, 2023 was “the year of the girlies.” Sharing an adorable photo dump to Instagram (as you can see below), the Game of Thrones alum posted ten photos with her best gal pals, and it’s so sweet. She also shared her intentions going into 2024, writing:

You heard it here folks, 2024 is “looking fairly consistent,” according to Turner. After what was likely a tumultuous few months, it makes sense that consistency is what she’s looking forward to in the new year. 

In September, news broke that Turner and Jonas were getting a divorce. That was followed by lots of speculation and rumors. Not long after the initial report, the Jonas Brother and X-Men actress broke their silence on their break-up, writing in a joint post that the decision to divorce was made “amicably.” 

As the two went through the legal proceedings, the major point of contention was around their children's custody. They share two young daughters, and while their assets weren't an issue, reportedly, how they'd split time and custody as co-parents was. However, Turner and Jonas seemingly came to a resolution in October. 

During this time the woman behind Sansa Stark was leaning on her friends, including Taylor Swift on multiple occasions. She was spotted out for spaghetti dinners and at Chiefs games with the pop star. However, Swift was doing even more for Turner during this divorce as the actress stayed in the singer’s New York apartment while she worked things out with Jonas. 

Sophie Turner made it clear in her Instagram post that it’s female friendships, like the one with Swift, that made her year. 

Now, as we get into 2024, I assume that will remain true. This post shows just how many lovely ladies Turner has in her life, and despite the challenges 2023 presented, it seems like she managed to have a blast with them. 

Along with her sweet friendships, Sophie Turner allegedly has another important relationship, as her romantic life sounds like it’s out of Bridgerton these days. She’s reportedly moved on from Jonas with aristocrat Peregrine “Perry” John Dickinson Pearson, who is the heir of the fourth Viscount Cowdray. So, it really seems like the actress is moving forward after a difficult few months. 

Adding to her personal updates, Turner also has an exciting professional development. Last year, she was working on a new show called Joan, and she could get awards buzz for the crime drama which is expected to premiere on the 2024 TV schedule. 

So, all around, things seem to be on the up-and-up for Sophie Turner, and hopefully, that stays consistent as 2024 gets into full swing. 

Throughout 2023, there have been more than a few high-profile divorces and, a few months ago, it was confirmed that Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner had also decided to split. Now, there’s more evidence to suggest the actress has indeed linked up with the man. 

27-year-old Sophie Turner was spotted with 29-year-old Peregrine “Perry” John Dickinson Pearson – heir of the 4th Viscount Cowdray – in November. Paparazzi caught snapshots of the two together in London at the end of the week, per Page Six. And when they were seen this time around, they were embracing each other and kissing. Of course, neither of them has confirmed that they’re in a relationship, as of this writing. This latest set of snapshots, however, would seem to indicate that some sparks are flying. 

When the pair were first seen out in public together, they were in Paris, where the Game of Thrones icon was set to help unveil the trophy for the Rugby World Cup. Sources claimed, at the time, that they enjoyed their visit to the French city. Whether they are actually a couple or not, then it’d be hard to deny just how TV-esque this feels. Peregrine Pearson has a reported worth of £224million and, just this year, he split from Princess Maria-Olympia of Greece and Denmark. And for those who aren’t in the know, the 27-year-old model and royal just happens to be the goddaughter of King Charles. This is honestly already coming off as more of a whirlwind than the starlet’s courtship with the Jonas Brothers frontman. 

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner began dating in 2016 and became engaged the following year. They exchanged vows at a Las Vegas ceremony in May 2019 but held a more formal ceremony in Paris during the June of that same year. From their relationship, they have two daughters – 3-year-old Willa and 1-year-old Delphine. Turner and Jonas broke their silence on the divorce in early September and haven’t explicitly discussed it with the public since. 

In the time that’s passed, there have reportedly been some contentious moments amid the legal proceedings. Not long after her rockstar husband filed for the divorce, Sophie Turner sued him for the “wrongful retention” of their two kids. The actress aimed to have them returned to her home country of England, as she and her ex had previously agreed that the UK would be their “forever home.” (It’s worth noting that both girls were born in the United States). By October, the estranged spouses had engaged in an 8-hour mediation session and, shortly after, they agreed on a temporary custody agreement. 

Joe Jonas seemingly nodded at his divorce during a concert in September, when he mentioned that rumors were swirling around him. He told attendees that unless they hear something from him, “don’t believe it.” Sometime later, Jonas shared a cryptic Instagram post about being “at the right place at the right time doing the right thing.” A number of fans believed he was referencing his domestic situation at the time. 

In the aftermath of the breakup, Sophie Turner began staying in an apartment owned by good buddy Taylor Swift, who was apparently supporting her in more than a few ways. Pearson also just split from 27-year-old model Princess Maria-Olympia of Greece and Denmark – who just happens to be the goddaughter of King Charles. 

The X-Men alum and her supposed new beau reportedly enjoyed their time in the City of Lights. It was there that they spent time at the Stade de France, where the actress was present to reveal the trophy for the Rugby World Cup. There’s a lot to process here but, at this point, I just can’t stop thinking about the aforementioned period drama. 

Netflix subscription holders who’ve watched Bridgerton’s two seasons know it’s full of royal romance and spicy drama. For example, the first set of episodes focus on the romance between Daphne Briderton and the Duke of Hastings. Their fictional journey to the altar captured the attention of various viewers in 2020 – and for good reason. Of course, it’s far too early to tell whether such a path lies ahead for the Do Revenge star and the nobleman.

During this time, the Sansa Stark actress received support from good friend Taylor Swift, who has treated her to more than spaghetti dinners. Swift is also housing the actress at her apartment. The mother of two hasn’t formally commented on the matter since she and her estranged husband released their joint statement. On that note, the frontman is going viral (again) after a TikTok video captured him officiating a bandmate’s wedding in the middle of a concert. 

One of the members of the Jonas Brothers’ musical entourage is percussionist Molly Lopresti, who was the lucky person to tie the knot during the group’s performance in Anaheim on Sunday. In the TikTok video captured by user recessionobsession, Joe addressed the crowd and recalled recruiting Lopresti to join the band. He specifically remembered her saying that she wanted to be with them on tour but couldn’t because she was planning to marry her fiancée, Nick Sherm. Joe recalled having a conversation with his brothers to see if they could figure something out. Luckily, the “Cake by the Ocean” singer is an ordained minister and, with that, it was decided that he would marry them during a show.

On that note, during the Anaheim performance, he called upon Nick Shirm to approach the stage, and his percussionist fiancée would soon join him. They eventually exchanged vows and signified their union with a first dance set to the Jonas siblings’’ hit song “When You Look Me in the Eyes.” It was a lovely sight to behold, and you can see it in the video down below:

The photo, which was captured by Access, also reveals a message written on the mirror, and that’s what seems to have caused the gears of speculation to churn. The statement reads as follows:

After October 21, Joe Jonas will take the kids, and he will reportedly have them until November 2, then Turner will have them through November 22. When it comes to the holidays they seem to have reached an agreement as well. The report explained that the Jonas Brother will reportedly get the children for Thanksgiving, while the Game of Thrones alum will have them for Christmas and New Year's (specifically December 16 through January 7). 

This report that the duo's divorce could be settled soon comes after they spent three days in mediation working through their separation. 

It’s vital to note that early on in this divorce it was reported that Sophie Turner wanted to move their kids to England, and Joe Jonas was apparently refusing to give her their passports. The Staircase actress sued her ex, and the main point of it was “[to secure] the immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained.” However, the singer’s rep quickly released a response to those claims explaining that if the singer were to hand over the passports it would be “in violation of the Florida Court order,” which is where the divorce was filed.

Since Jonas filed for divorce, both parents have been seen out and about with their kids on separate occasions. Turner has been staying in New York at Taylor Swift’s apartment as the divorce gets worked out. Meanwhile, the singer has been on tour with the Jonas Brothers, and traveling back and forth to NYC. 

While the last few months have seemed messy, it would appear that mediation has helped the couple, and they are close to an agreement. The report ended by claiming that a settlement should be coming soon. 

It would seem that a finalized settlement is in Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s near future. Their assets are reportedly handled since there was a prenup in place, and it would seem that a custody agreement is in sight. Page Six caught Turner leaving the building and called her look “exhausted” which is honestly to be expected. Spending an entire day dealing with heavy issues like this, which will have significant future repercussions, has to be tough. And the fact that they’ll be doing this for three more days, we can expect both parties to be mentally drained.

Joe Jonas is asking for 50/50 custody, which would require the kids to spend half their time in the U.S. and half their time in the U.K. as Turner wanted the family to live in England. Jonas is reportedly okay with the kids splitting their time between the two countries, but it’s unclear if such an arrangement would be acceptable to Turner.

Anonymous reports have claimed that Jonas and Turner have very different lifestyles, which is one of the major reasons the couple made the decision to split. However, by all reports, both the celebs are putting the children first and are looking to do what is best for them. Of course, what's less clear is if they both have the same understanding of what that means.

The home for the children has already been a contentious issue, as Jonas had the children with him when he officially filed for divorce in the U.S. Turner has filed a lawsuit against her husband over that, as she had asked the children be returned to the U.K. The couple has currently agreed to reside in New York while the mediation proceedings continue. Turner is currently staying with the children in an apartment owned by friend Taylor Swift.

We’ve seen child custody issues cause divorce proceedings to stretch on for quite some time. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are still dealing with the terms of their divorce years after they were legally separated and custody has been one the primary factors that has delayed the conclusion of the divorce.

An official court date has been set for January 2, but if mediation goes well and the couple is able to come to agreements on whatever the outstanding issues are, it’s possible the divorce and custody could be handled before things ever get there. We’ll have to wait and see where things stand at the end of this mediation period.
